Age: 17, turning 18
Appearance: Since they are identical twins, both Daichi and Akihiko are the same in appearance down to their bone structure. They both are fairly slender yet tall men at about 6'5", with average shoulders and lean muscles. They both have deep blue-black hair, though Akihiko's is most noticeably in a careless yet charming messy cut and Daichi's is well groomed. They have thin eyebrows and high cheek bones, with a pointed chin and small noses and mouths. Their eyes are a deep blue, surrounded in thick straight black eyelashes. Akihiko often dresses in trending and somewhat flashy clothes while Daichi prefers comfortable clothing that he can not be noticed in.
Personality: Though the two are twins, they couldn't be further apart in personality. Akihiko is what some would consider a 'ladies man.' He is flamboyant and loves attention, especially from women. Akihiko is often the life of the party, always the first to run out and dance or try something new. This often causes problems for his reserved brother, Daichi. Daichi is a studious person who would rather stay home and read a book than be bothered by people. He has the highest grades in practically all of his classes, and has a perfect attendance record, unlike Akihiko who constantly sleeps in and barely makes it to the second period. He is quiet and cold, often mistaken for being shy, when he truly is just antisocial. Daichi doesn't like people, and he knows people don't like him. Though he is highly intelligent, Daichi has no empathy and prefers efficiency over feelings.
Akihiko is a bit of a scaredy cat, often running his mouth and getting into problems he can't handle. Daichi will easily calm the situation, and yell at his brother later. Akihiko is the more athletic of the two, but both brothers are powerful fighters when they are together. Daichi can be scary and often has anger bursts, but being the biggest fan of the girl group Kissy Kissy Kit, he can easily be persuaded by any merchandise of the group, and especially that if the lead singer Miyoko. It's one reason he keeps his adoration (and fanboying) of the group under lock and key. Even Akihiko knows nothing about it! (Surely, he would use it to blackmail his brother if he did.)
The twins constantly fight, but at the same time they are never without one another. If one twin is attacked, you better expect the other one to come beat you up from behind. Their personalities may conflict, and they may dislike each other, but overall they still love each other.
History: The Takenaka twins come from a prestigious family of high wealth. They have an older sister as well as a father and mother, but were mostly raised by maids and the house keepers. They almost never saw their parents except for special events, and their sister left the house a long time ago. They only ever really had each other. To compensate for this, they both had different reactions. Daichi became secluded, while Akihiko made himself more and more noticeable in order to gain more attention. The parents decided to send them to a public school, seeing that they "needed more friends." Though they always fight, the twins are closer than any two people, since in their minds they still really only have each other.
When they arrived at the school a couple of years ago, the rumors about ghosts were brushed off easily by Daichi, though Akihiko was curious on the matter. Akihiko went to check out the occult club after swim practice and noticed that basically everyone in the school was there. He went back to Daichi to ask about it, but the other twin scoffed and called them 'lunatics.'
Classmates kept trying to convince Akihiko especially to join, knowing that if they got one twin they would most likely get the other, but Daichi kept warding them off.
They might not have joined at all, if Daichi hadn't found a ticket to a live Kissy Kissy Kit show in his locker after school attached to a note: "You get this if you join us."
The next day the two joined the club, Akihiko confused at Daichi's sudden change of heart, but didn't say anything when he raced out of school to 'study in the library.' They've stayed in the club, though Daichi is still highly skeptical.

Other: "Akihiko" means "bright prince", reflecting Akihiko's desire to always be the shining star in every situation. "Daichi" means "great intelligence", reflecting Daichi's advanced level of intelligence despite his solitary attitude.
Though neither really identify their sexuality, it is quite obvious they prefer women, though sometimes they (mostly Akihiko) tease the girls by flirting with one another (mostly towards Daichi.) Of course, neither would really be against it if they fell for a guy.
If anyone found out about Akihiko's lack of courage or Daichi's somewhat obsession with Kissy Kissy Kit, it could easily be used against them.
