If anyone wants they can join in on the collab that is for Razorblade's YouTube channel Barr3lR0le. It will be one of the things happeneing on the party bus. More of a background thing but not everyone in the party bus has to be in this one. But anyone in this one will obviously have to be on the party bus. So far no one has joined in yet.
”My brain runs faster than my mouth, by the time I’ve finished speaking, I’ve already figured out three more ways to tell the same story”

|Birth Name | » John Paul Carling
|Hails From | » Orangeburg, South Carolina » May 17th 1992 (25)
|Job at AWE | » Writer
|Skills | » JP is an out of the box thinker. He loves wrestling and wants to help make the fans love it just as much as he does. He is a passionate storyteller with an incredible eye for detail. A wrestler may have a story or a match ready but a little tweak from JP can turn a match from a 4 to a 5 star. He’s a little manic and hyper but its all part of his enthusiasm.
|Reason for being here | » To help AWE last beyond it’s years.
|Looks & Style | » JP is a fan first and foremost so walking around in AWE merchandise is nothing new to him, though for important meetings he does get dressed up. Most of the time he can be seen running around backstage to his own soundtrack as he always has his headphones on, carrying an energy drink and a scrap of paper or napkin with his latest brain child on.
|Personality Traits | » He is enthusiastic and passionate about the business, the wrestlers and the stories that need to be told. JP likes to spout of as many ideas as he can, whenever he can, throwing a hundred things at the wall hoping one sticks. He tends to describe himself as someone whose brains runs faster than his mouth.
|Favorite wrestler | » Morgana
|Rep at AWE | » JP was born with ADHD and suffered greatly as a child. His hyperactivity and constant ramblings left his parents a bit unsure of what to do with him. Once he was diagnosed, life got a little better. He began taken medication and found an outlet with sports, especially wrestling. He was always a fan of AWE with his favourite being the Ghost Ryder. He tried his hand at collegiate wrestling whilst studying for a journalist degree. Despite his own impressive size and athletic skill, JP knew he couldn’t continue sports with his medical issues, so he buckled down for his studies. He was working for a sport blog when Kevin approached him about signing on to AWE…maybe dreams do come true after all.
|Other | » His first day he was forced to sit next to Roger from Sound as a rib, JP has never been the same since » Ross Butler
|Hails From | » Lyon, France » January 8, 1990 (27)
|Fighting Style | » Mathys is an all around wrestler taking from many different forms of wrestling. He does this so he can mold the way he wrestles to whoever his opponent is. He could easily be hoping off a turnbuckle or locking someone down on the ground to wear them out.
He's also very flexible and can move in ways most can't. He uses his body type to his advantage and plays with his opponent like they are a toy. He's a master of mind games inside the ring doing whatever he can to freak the Heebie-jeebies out of everyone watching ESPECIALLY his opponent. One thing he commonly does is when he knocks an opponent down he will sometimes lay down opposite the ring of them and mimic every move they make as they get to their feet.
|Finisher | » Stun Gun » Induction Rarely uses the move. Only uses it when 'inducting' someone to his Coup d'état, or when expelling them from said group.
|Gimmick | » The Initiate is not just a person. Not just a wrestler. The initiate is more of an idea. Challenging whatever status quo exist. The Initiate seeks to change the way AWE works by gathering forces to eliminate the current hierarchy and make AWE a true land of opportunity. As of right now though he lies in wait for the trigger that will set off his so-called revolution.
His attire is unlike most wrestling attire. His attire is a full body suit without the jacket. He wears the mask and it has black mesh at the mouth and eyes so he can see through. He also wears gloves. For his entrance he wears the jacket but without all the logos. The jacket does say Coup d'état on the back of it.
|Face or Heel | » Depends on the fans. If they want to change things up he's a face. If they like what's going on he's a heel. Some just call him a flip floppy tweener.
|Backstage Rep | » The thing about having a backstage rep is people have to actually know you. Mathys likes to keep to kayfabe so much that he does what he can to hide his identity. The only people who know his face and name are Roddy, past promoters he's worked under, and whoever Roddy tells him to reveal himself to. He goes to difficult lengths to make sure he is never seen with his mask off at a show or when in the vicinity of the stadium. He also doesn't really talk unless it is to say something weird in regards to starting a revolution.
To add more to the effect of his gimmick sometimes he will hide in random places and just appear when people come by. He wants everyone backstage to actually be weirded out by him. He is a method actor so getting others to actually feel a certain way about him, in his eyes, helps them when actually performing a promo or match. He showed up to AWE about five weeks ago but has done nothing other than squash matches when he shows up on air.
|Other | » Mathys Jacques was and will always be a passionate wrestling fan. As a little boy he watched his father go across the world wrestling just as he watched his father. It was expected of Mathys to follow in his father and grandfathers footsteps. He didn't need their incentive to want to be a wrestler but it definitely didn't hurt. At a very young age Mathys would train with his grandfather rarely letting anything distract him. When his father had a early retirement due to injury Mathys blamed the promotion for hurting his father because of unsafe practices. His father assured him that this was not the case, but Mathys didn't entirely believe him.
This was actually how the Initiate persona was created. When Mathys was old and skilled enough he joined the promotion his dad was injured at wearing the mask in front of everyone even the promoter. In this promotion Mathys crafted a gimmick that he only created in spite of the promotion but quickly rose to stardom among the fans.
From there bigger and bigger promotions kept trying to get a hold of him because of how easy it was to sell his gimmick. Not to mention the loads of merchandise from selling those ridiculous masks. Promoters wanted him merely for the money factor and not his skills as a wrestler. That's when he went completely of the grid. Well, as the Initiate that is.
He went to Mexico under a different name, La Revolución. He fought with no real gimmick under that name because he wanted to hone his craft. Mathys bounced around the luchador scene and was getting tired of the new persona. He started bringing hints of his old gimmick in but made sure it wasn't obvious he was the same guy. Eventually people started catching on though and the stray Initiate mask could be seen in whatever promotion he was wrestling at. That's when he was brought under the radar of AWE. Before it wasn't that big of a thing and was just a way for promoters to rake in some dough, but now that he was even better at his wrestling he felt he was good enough to actually consider himself a wrestler. Far from a household name many people still knew what the Initiate was. So, when he had a meeting with Roderick he decided to put the old mask on and requested to bring the original gimmick back. » FC : Andrew Garfield » Note : His very first debut for his original promotion was on November 5th.
As we roll into the next show, we're doing a quick roll call. Just reply to this post with a mention, and we'll know you're still in it and plan ahead accordingly!
Match 1: Tourney Match – Owen Sparks (W) vs Kidd Neon Segment 1: Morgana Promo (maybe Sydney stare down?) Match 2: Tourney Match - Oscar O’Sullivan (W) vs Local Competitor Segment 2: Joy Ryder interview with Gethin Rhys Match 3: Tourney Match - The Creation (W) vs Local Competitor Match 4: Tourney Match - Gethin Rhys (W) vs Local Competitor Segment 3: Hype Package for the Re-Debut of Hector Main Event: Tourney Match - Sexton PS Love vs Thunderbird (W)
So, pending the Creation match (he's the only one yet to respond to the activity check), this is what the card for the next show looks like. It's going to be in LA, at the Staples Center specifically. The two week period to get in your segments starts now. Remember to not feel rushed, the time limit was met pretty easily last time, so I'm not worried.
If you are not on the card (there are a couple of people), you'll be on the next one or maybe on Aftershock. Eventually there will be an effort made to make more card space to get more people on. As it stands, though, realistically the show rolls for about two hours as it stands and I want to keep it that length. Hopefully no one feels snubbed, and remember you can write backstage stuff.
I'm still willing to add commentary to any match, just give me a shout.
If anyone has any questions, comments, or suggestions feel free to PM me either here or on Discord (the link to our Discord chat is at the top of the character tab) and I'll get to you as soon as I can. I'm happy with the way the roleplay has rolled along so far, and I hope to continue being happy with it.
