Name: Zirnel or Zee Crass

Appearance:
Age: 17

Personality: He has been loud and talkative and an in your face sort of guy for as long as he can remember. He likes to be the centre of attention and gets jealous when someone else steals the spotlight.

He likes jokes and can laugh at his own expense, but he will want to get a laugh at someone else's expense in return.

Companionship is something of a second skin for him and he often becomes uncomfortable when he is alone.



Abilities: climbing has a lot of experience doing that.

Element: Air

Powers:Air Dome: elemental barrier. This is a shield of air that surrounds zee from all sides. Every part of it has multiple layers of circling air, which not only prevents objects or other threats from reaching zee, it also carries these threats around the shield/dome in two full revolutions (circles) before tossing it/them away.

Wind Blessed Boots: This activated spell manipulates nearby air around Zee's boots to carry him into the air for slow speeds and if he wants to go faster, the manipulated air can also kick away from the ground or nearby walls/ceilings/roofs/whatever it may be to move at very fast speeds.

Summon Link: Combat Power: Shredding Air Claws: This condenses bunches of air nearby and shapes it into three pointed claws. These claws are definitely visible as claws to others because of the high air density in each one. Anyway each claw is about the size of a bear's paw and its the point of the claws which are about the size of a persons fingernail that does scratch/possibly maul things. He can only create two claws at a time, two is the limit.
Also the claws move slowly but can scratch/maul things in any direction.

Gifted Power: Listening to the Wind: By reaching his hand out zee is able to grab an air current in the distance, out of sight and pull it towards him. This will bring the sound of whatever was over there to him, thus allowing him to learn what is going on in the outside world. This doesn't work while indoors for obvious reasons.

History: Zee comes from an above average household in Toronto, Canada. He doesn't remember much about his mother as she died while he was still very young. His father works for the National News Network as a 'Breaking News' Reporter. Often as Zee was growing up his father would bring him in to the back of the news room out of sight of the camera's eyes. To keep the boy out of trouble and to keep him entertained. Which wasn't too difficult as when Zee was not listening to his father on the far side of the room, tell the people about the day's news, zee was talking to one of the electronic experts nearby who took a liking to him.

It was cool. He learned a bit of computer and wiring related stuff. But even before that on the first day that Zee was brought to the newsroom for the first time there was an attack by Rift Monsters at a mall in Montreal. Creatures that Zee had never heard of and from what he could see on the screen in the newsroom that showed live footage of those beasts-they were definitely something to be feared.

At the end of that day, his father told Zee not to worry and that he would always protect Zee. But later that night Zee wanted to go for a walk but his father would only let him if he held his father's hand. It was dark out, and zee felt drawn to something, like he had to find something important to him. But he didn't know what. Then at a weird looking church that seemed abandoned and after half an hour of convincing his father to even walk in such a place Zee found a stone tablet.

Again more debate and arguments took place before Zee was allowed to bring this tablet home.

Shortly thereafter Zee was transferred from his old school to some new school and he wasn't exactly told why, except that he didn't have a choice. He spent years there and gradually understood the school's purpose and about himself and why he belonged there.

All the while he discovered and bonded with his summon, Aristoa.

He still visited his father sometimes and through his father's work he got to meet an expert climber who made the news as the winner of a mountain climbing competition.

And with his father's approval, Zee spent time with this climber trying to learn how to climb mountains himself, that is when school ever allowed him to get away. But over the years he did get a good bit of experience doing it, understanding the endurance it takes to keep going after your muscles ache and what animals to look out for on various mountains.

Toa

Name: Aristoa or Toa

Appearance:

Summoning Mantra: Lady of the Skies, stand by me now and forever.

Abilities: She fights by using small currents of air to trap her opponents. It could be that one current of air acts as a wall to prevent opponents escaping while a second one attempts to push the enemy onto their back on the ground to leave them vulnerable. For damage she usually will use her claw like hands and talon like feet.

Also she can fly.

Element: air

Element gift: Soundproof Vortex: When they are together Zee and Aristoa can create a room as big as a classroom that is surrounded by very powerful wind gusts which prevents any sound from escaping. The noise inside the vortex will hit the vortex's wall and and will be
gently pushed into different directions inside of the vortex. This allows the noise to grow weaker until it is not heard anymore and thus allowing Zee and Toa to carry on their conversation.

If anyone tries to overhear what Zee and Toa are saying, the vortex will increase in speed. The wind itself of the vortex will create a much louder noise, (similar to that of a tornado's noise) as a warning for the intruder to back off and mind their own business.

About: She is curious about people but knows not to approach them without Zee's approval. Her and Zee have a great relationship built over years of constant communication and solid trust. Definitely more humanoid.

Name: Lawan Somwan

Appearance:


Age: 16

Personality: Lawan is a responsible and hardworking individual. Raised to value a strong work ethic, Lawan’s first and foremost responsibility is to the task at hand and getting it done right. She is a firm believer in proper teamwork, and she will encourage those around her to co-operate on their tasks, and will admonish those who refuse to work together. She isn’t all hard work though; she likes to think of herself as being capable of being relaxed when there’s no pressing need to attend to something important. She is exceptionally tolerant, and will put up with people of all kinds aside from the overtly malicious. However, while Lawan likes to think she can be fun, she is arguably “bad” at being fun. Lawan has never been well connected with contemporary culture, and her idea of going somewhere “fun” will probably land you at a museum rather than the latest trendy destinations. While she loves hearing jokes, her own jokes are mediocre at best, with an array of bad puns being her go-to when prompted. Lawan will always be a nice and good natured person to hang out with, but if you go to her expecting to chill out “normally”, then you’ll probably have a bad time.

Abilities: Lawan’s upbringing was fairly strict, and so she was not only encouraged to study hard but also keep in good physical shape. She also has some instruction in the Krabi-Krabong style of martial arts.

Element: Water

Powers:

-Void Shield - Water
-Monsoon – Lawan can cause it to rain heavily in her immediate vicinity. While not necessarily offensive, it does drench anyone and
anything that’s uncovered around her as well as creating a great deal more water.
-Tidal Assault – Lawan can create waves of water of varying size to assault her opponents with.
-Double-time – Lawan can activate her power to give her a short burst of extra vitality, allowing her to move faster and strike harder. It only lasts for a few seconds before being unusable for an hour.

History: Lawan was born to a mildly wealthy family from Bangkok, Thailand. Even while the world was under siege by monsters from the rift, the Somwan family had no intention of raising their daughter any differently than they would have in more peaceful times. Lawan was raised to value hard work and study in the name of furthering her personal potential. Had life carried on like this for Lawan forever, she would have likely grown up to be a typical spoiled rich kid. That all changed the day a rift opened in Bangkok. Unlike the other stories of tragedy in the Rift Wars, Lawan did not lose her family that day, but they did lose just about everything else. The family business was shattered, and her parents had little money left on hand. Lawan soon became a refugee in her own country.

While it was a huge shock to her system initially, Lawan and her parents quickly thrust themselves into more and more work to compensate for their losses. While they never recovered their wealth, they managed to live a sustainable life through their efforts. Lawan’s transition from riches to rags destroyed any sense of entitlement or snobbery she may have once had. She couldn’t rely on her family’s money anymore, she could only rely on her own efforts and those of her mother and father together. She had to put up with a lot of things and people that a younger Lawan would have turned her nose up at. She didn’t fully leave behind all the habits she developed from her time as a sybarite, but she definitely became a better person for it.

One day, a former business associate of her fathers passed through their new home for a visit. He just so happened to bring a curiosity he had acquired from an archaeological dig in the country; a summoning tablet. Lawan just so happened to be there at the time, and she felt drawn to read the words upon the tablet. Naturally, that was the moment she called upon her summon for the first time, and afterwards she was discovered by the Aether Bridge programme and ushered into their academy. While Lawan did not have any real desire to become a summoner, her parents told her this was an opportunity that she should put her whole effort into. She decided it was best to make the most of this and plans to develop her potential to the fullest.

Name: Pasak

Appearance:



Summoning Mantra: “I call upon the waters themselves, for they are one with the Naga!”

Abilities: Pasak primarily fights using water-based magic, but he is more than capable of fighting with his mighty jaws or constricting an opponent with his own body.

Element: Water

Element gift: Pasak shares with Lawan the ability to breath underwater and control the tension of the water beneath them.

About: Pasak is a calm and indifferent creature. He likes to muse on anything he observes, but he rarely has any real interest in having things happen any particular way, preferring to leave things to Lawan. He is also largely cynical, often interpreting the actions of others in line with inferred agendas and intentional deception. While Pasak is usually apathetic, any assaults on his own character or Lawans will earn his ire, causing him to spit curses at the offending individual and double any efforts to take them down.
