Name: Lara Lambert
Allias: N/A
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Parents: Tony Masters (Taskmaster) and Kara Zor-El (Supergirl). Adopted by Lenard Lambert (
Agent L).
Powers and abilities:Martial Arts Intuition: Lara can learn martial arts at a greatly accelerated rate. While she can get a general idea of certain moves and techniques just by watching someone, she learns better through practice. By watching footage of someone performing certain moves, Lara can master a technique within a week, but by actually performing the moves with repetition and practice she can master them in a day. Without practice or regular use she will forget these skills though, just like anyone else.
Musical Intuition: Likewise, Lara can learn music at a prodigal rate, learning how to read sheet music within a day and learning to play musical instruments in the same way she learns martial arts. As with any of her intuitive capabilities however, Lara is limited to her own body's capabilities. She cannot replicate the movements of beings with multiple arms, legs, tentacles or different physiology.
Language Intuition: Music being another kind of language, Lara can learn languages at greatly increased rate. Again she is limited to the sounds her mouth can make. Likewise, since there is only so much she can remember, she can only master six languages (including music and math) before she forgets other languages.
Mathematical Intuition: As with Language Intuition. She is limited to her human/kryptonian perception of the world however and cannot perform mental equations exhibited by beings with wholly alien perception or cognitive abilities.
Kryptonian Hybrid: Lara is a human-kryptonian hybrid and as a result has many Kryptonian abilities and diminished Kryptonian weaknesses. She has Kryptonian strength, durability, heat vision and flight thanks to yellow sun radiation. While she can hold her breath for an indefinite amount of time, she cannot freeze or move objects with the force of her breath. She also does not have Kryptonian Genius-Level intellect, merely average human intelligence.
Lara is also effected by green kryptonite, but to a lesser degree. She does not double over in discomfort or pain, but is rendered powerless while in its presence, much like red sun radiation, which also has the same effect. Gold Kryptonite can also permanently depower Lara, although it is unknown what effect other Kryptonite strains will have on her hybrid physiology. Pink Kryptonite has been known to make Lara laugh uncontrollably, however.
Personality:Lara has a very outgoing, bubbly and positive personality. She is friendly and considerate, however she is afraid of hurting others following a childhood trauma.
Bio:Lara Lambert is the result of a secret Hydra project to, once again, create the perfect human specimen. This was achieved by paying Taskmaster for numerous genetic samples ranging from blood and even marrow as well as the diligent collection of genetic material left behind by Supergirl during her numerous encounters, ranging from saliva collected from cup she had sipped from and even strand of hair. The experiment ended in multiple failures and setbacks until the birth of Lara Lamberet.
It was at this time however that Lenard Lambert, known to S.H.I.E.L.D as "Agent L" defected, turning over microfilm and secret files to S.H.I.E.L.D which ultimately resulted in the destruction of the Hydra lab as well as the research they had been conducting. It was during this chaos that Lenard retrieved the barely month-old Lara and went into hiding, keeping her existences a secret from the world, even S.H.I.E.L.D.
Raising her as his own daughter, Lenard attempted to instill within her a set or morals and to provide her with as healthy and happy a childhood as possible, as even he didn't know if or when her powers would begin to manifest. It wasn't until Lara's sixth birthday that his questions were answered. Lara, who had already exhibited a talent for music and gymnastics, had been having a particularly bad day, as most six-year old's do. It was during a tantrum that she hurled her adoptive father across the room and into their kitchen stove, knocking over a boiling pot and badly scalding the left side of her father's face and his shoulder. In a panic, and as she had been taught to do, Lara called emergency services and over the next several weeks refused to leave her father's side, who had told the medical staff that he had fallen and knocked over the stove, despite the large dent in the oven door.
It was upon returning home that Lenard told Lara some of the truth of her origins. He told her that he had rescued her from a group of people like the ones she saw the super heroes fighting on TV and that they had given her the powers of the strongest woman there was. He told Lara that her mother didn't not die like he had told her, but that the group who had given her powers had taken her and that her mother didn't know she had a daughter and neither did her father. He also told her that her powers would continue to grow as she got older. He then asked Lara what she wanted. He could help her learn how to use her powers, but she may have to go away for a while, or he could help her suppress them.
Not wanting to leave her father and still feeling guilty for the scars on his face, Lara asked Lenard to suppress her powers so she didn't accidentally hurt anyone else. As a result, Lara has worn a set of green Kryptonite jewelry, including a necklace, earrings and charm bracelet, ever since.
Over time Lenard answered more of her questions, telling her "Daddies don't lie." He admitted that her biological mother was Supergirl and that her father was the villain Taskmaster and that due to his powers, he had likely forgotten his involvement in her creation. Lara, despite this knowledge, continued living as normal a life as possible, participating in music, gymnastics and cheerleading, however the knowledge that she possessed the ability to help others and do more continued to nag at her.
Following her graduation from High School, Lara sat down with her father and asked him what he had meant by learning to use her powers. Lenard admitted that in the past 12 years, he had lost track of the people who could help him but he had come to learn of a school headed by numerous heroes such as Superman, Batman, Iron Man and Professor Charles Xavier. He told her that, instead of attending college like she had planned, he could make some calls and arrange for her enrollment there instead, where she could learn to control her abilities and help others. After weeks of consideration and thought, although she still remains incredibly hesitant given that she has no experience, Lara agreed and set in motion the chain of events that would lead to her embracing her abilities and potential.
Appearance:Black hair, green eyes, freckles, 6'0.
