Bunch of magical girls here. Either we have an army or a magical free-for-all. Going to be interesting. "Greetings, everyone. I'm Shining Thunderbird, but you can call me Midori. This is my fairy, Megumi. I'm glad to meet you all." Megumi bowed, but Midori kept herself ramrod straight, looking the potential competition up and down just in case things went to hell. "We can do much better as friends rather than enemies. Personally, I think we should exchange phone numbers at the very least so we can call each other for backup."

"I think you can all tell what Midori's specialty is." Megumi fluttered up to her charge's shoulder. "What sorts of powers do you girls have?"

Akane went rigid when she heard some commotion from the rooftop. Was there a fight or something!? Was the magical girl fighting something!? If it was a Negari that was really dangerous but... but...! Only... moments later, the commotion ceased. There was nothing after that, so all that the redhead could assume was that the magical girl had left. After a few moments, she sagged. She had such a good chance to meet one, but she'd blown it, hadn't she?

... Only... wait a second, was that fancy girl calling up to the rooftop?! She'd seen the magical girl too, right?! She had! That was the only explanation for what she was doing, right? At least if that was the case she could confirm what she'd seen, and make sure that she hadn't made some kind of silly mistake in her general magical girl fangirl excitement. Taking a deep breath, Akane approached the other girl.

"Um... you saw her too, right?" she asked, stopping about a meter away from her. "The magical girl? I... w... wasn't that amazing?"

The moment she spoke, she felt like something of an idiot. Who even talked like that?!

@Raineh Daze

A pair of magical girls had suddenly appeared on top of her. Mitsuko raised an eyebrow, panting. They looked so concerned, too... she straightened with a sigh, resting her spear on a shoulder.

"Oi oi, it's not like I don't appreciate the concern, but I'm not going to be taken out of commission that easily," she complained. While she was clearly exhausted, there was no visible injuries on her body... though her outfit was a mess, gashes in her clothing and tattered edges. That being said, one of the major traits of the Shadowrender was her recovery capabilities. Anyone who knew much about magical girls knew that she seemed to have an excellent ability to bounce back from injuries.

"Your time's better spent out on patrol then wasted on worrying about me, I can handle myself."

"The purpose of patrol is to locate and sublimate potential threats to human communities. A threat that could reduce a girl of your ability to such a state is more than worth our attention." Shadowrender was such a fool, denying assistance when she most certainly needed it. No matter, Tsubame had dealt with such fools time and again.

"Lotsa magic, lotsa hurt..." Keiko remarked, blowing bits of mane out of her face as she focused her telescope further onto the older, shadowy magical girl. "Who?"

Ah. Another one showed up.

Kyōka peered anxiously between the two rather imposing figures. It was fairly obvious at a glance that they were both older than her, and they both seemed a lot more calm about this whole situation than she felt, so it seemed likely that they were both veterans of some level of experience. Of course, it was obvious that there was no Magical Girl less experienced than she was, but even so, she couldn't help but feel more than a bit nervous in the presence of her superiors, especially considering that they might be angry at her for trespassing.

Kyōka glanced between the two. The second to arrive - a shorter girl with bright pinkish-red hair done up in twintails like hers usually was, and clad in a similarly bright outfit - was the first to speak up. She seemed like she was trying to resolve the situation, which put Kyōka a little bit at ease. After all, if there was a Magical Girl serving as a mediator, a fight wouldn't break out, would it? She took a few deep breaths while the focus was off of her, trying to calm her nerves enough to speak properly.

The second of the two arrivals, however, didn't seem displeased in the slightest. Although she'd seemed pretty intimidating considering how quickly she'd shown up and her mature appearance, she greeted the two of them politely enough, and said they'd do best as allies... She even suggested sharing phone numbers, something Kyōka hadn't done in... in... well, when was the last time she'd done it, anyway? She couldn't really remember... Did this mean that they wanted to be friends...? It seemed too good to be true, though, especially since the dark-haired girl kept shooting her suspicious glances every now and again that set her distinctly on edge.

"U-umm... As Ariel-san said, I'm Aegis Violet. My powers are pushing and pulling on objects, but... I'm... new to all this, so I'm not sure how useful I'll be to you. Ah, but if there's anything that I can do, then... erm... I guess... I'll do my best.... So I'll be in your care." She bowed awkwardly. She hadn't stammered much, but she kept having to pause to catch her breath because she'd freeze up every time she tried to look at them. She must have looked so stupid. She couldn't even bring herself to blame them if they burst out laughing at her - after all, it was ridiculous, wasn't it? A Magical Girl, acting scared...

Shiina kept both of the magical girls in her sight, prepared to separate the girls or deflect an attack with her ribbons. The situation wasn't nearly as tense as it would need to be for something of that scale, but the media made territories and magical girls seem more brutal than the Yakuza. Luckily, these girls seemed pretty relaxed, and the two of them even introduced themselves... Or, Midori introduced herself, and Ariel introduced Aegis. Shiina was honestly surprised that a magical girl, especially one dressed in such a colorful and cute outfit, could be so shy. Then again, it was probably just nerves - when Shiina first went out, she nearly died of embarrassment from the outfit. All Aegis-chan needed was a little experience!

"We can do much better as friends rather than enemies. Personally, I think we should exchange phone numbers at the very least so we can call each other for backup. I think you can all tell what Midori's specialty is. What sorts of powers do you girls have?"

Lowering her guard, Shiina smiled and agreed. After all, having friends who could punch a man across a room and kill incarnations of negative emotions and the sins of humanity would be pretty beneficial. Then again, Shiina was always happy to have more friends - you can never have too many! Before she could respond, she waited for the meekest of the trio to respond to Midori.

"U-umm... As Ariel-san said, I'm Aegis Violet. My powers are pushing and pulling on objects, but... I'm... new to all this, so I'm not sure how useful I'll be to you. Ah, but if there's anything that I can do, then... erm... I guess... I'll do my best.... So I'll be in your care."

With that, Shiina couldn't help but squeal in delight. How could this girl be so cute? Not to mention, being someone's senpai was a feeling that Shiina always loved, even if she never cared if her kouhai addressed her that way or not. Taking a closer look at the purple haired girl, she seemed to be younger than Shiina, but by how much she couldn't tell. Aegis kept averting her gaze from the other girls, and her manner of speaking was very cute. She must be nervous. Shiina contemplated the thought of giving them her real identity, maybe hanging out in real life, but decided against it. The more people that knew her identity, the worse it would get, and she didn't even know what these girls were like. That didn't mean they couldn't be friends while on patrol, though! Maneuvering the ribbon on her chest into the shape of a heart, shiina moved it about 5 feet in front of her, before making a finger gun and pointing it at the two girls in front of her.

"Nice to meet you, Midori-chan, Aegis-chan. My name is-"

Shiina "shot" the finger gun, before unraveling the ribbon and striking a pose she saw in an anime, moving her right arm to her side and holding her left hand in front of her face

"THE PINK DELINQUENT!!! You can call me Pink, though. Anyways, I can move my ribbons and tie things up with them, even make them hard or use them as a shield! I'd love to be friends with other magical girls though - I hadn't seen a single one in the 4 months that I'd been a magical girl! Oh yeah, this is Obaka,-"

"Ogata."

"-My fairy. She's pretty lazy, but she'll grow on you. Sort of like a tapeworm or something"

This snide comment earned Shiina a kick to the collar bone, causing a small amount of pain.

"O-ow... A-anyways, don't worry Aegis-chan! If you ever want help, you can always ask Pink-senpai! Oh yeah, you asked for our numbers, right Midori-chan? Don't you think that is moving a bit too quickly?"

Giggling slightly, Shiina proceeded to tell the other girls her number. There was no harm in it, after all - there was no way they would know it was her number, just that it was Pink's. The thought of continuing her patrol after this meeting crossed her mind, but more than half of the time she usually spent out went by, and she had just met two new accomplices. She rarely met a Negari anyways, so today's patrol was already pretty successful.

Masako Imagawa

Masako was quite surprised to discover that the first instinct of the other girl arriving on the scene was not to join her in offering aid to Shadowrender, but instead to smoosh herself into Chantilly's mane. Masako gave out a light chuckle at the spectacle. The horse was momentarily spooked to be grabbed so suddenly, but was otherwise unconcerned by it's newly found accessory. Of more concern was the state of Shadowrender, who, while having clearly healed from any flesh wounds she sustained, was still in less than stellar condition. She seemed determined to act as though there was nothing wrong, perhaps out of some sense of pride or the other. Masako could appreciate the sentiment, however she certainly wasn't about to turn away. The little girl's fairy was quick to speak aloud almost exactly what Masako was thinking.

"I wholeheartedly agree." Masako followed up on the fairy's words. "You may not be on death's door, but something left you in this state, and we're here to offer assistance against it." If worst came to worst and Shadowrender was determined to turn them away, Masako was considering following up on whatever lurked in this territory herself. She wasn't so sure about involving the little girl, however, as while she had no inkling as to her magical potential, she was still such a young wee thing, and apparently easily distracted by horses.

Lutin for one was not involving herself in the proceedings. She didn't entirely care as to whether Shadowrender opened up to them, but she was silently expressing doubts as to whether this was something Masako should be involved in. She was not some storied fighter yet, and whatever the threat was here, she wasn't sure if she could handle it alone. She was going to simply watch until this exchange was over, however.

"Haaah, what a drag..."

Draping her spear over her shoulders, and her hands over her spear, Shadowrender Mitsuko let out a long sigh of irritation.

"It's not just one problem, it's many," she said, looking annoyed at even having to explain. "Since last night the Negari haven't left me alone. It's a pain in the ass."

That was a bit more of an explanation. Mitsuko was an accomplished magical girl, frequently seen munching on snacks after taking down various dangerous Negari. But if it had been a large number of Negari that she'd been fighting since the previous night, it was possible that the experience had worn her out a considerable amount. However, at the moment, it seemed there were no more Negari in the vicinity. Indeed, aside from the girls, the alleyway was entirely empty of anything else. That being said, it couldn't be confirmed that she hadn't fought here, as well, given that Negari bodies dissolved once they were killed.

"It starts out fun, but it just gets exhausting, y'know?" she complained, leaning back as she did. "I think that I killed the last of them. I think."

"Doesn't look all Negari, though." Keiko squinted through the lens of her scope, tiny fingers adjusting the device with such speed and ease it had to be instinctual.

"Hummingbird-san, it is not polite to make such accusations without proof. Still, it does seem an improbable story-are you certain that's all that happened, Shadowrender-san? I assure you, all we wish to do is hel--"

"Looks like...dunno. Keiko is confused. Tsubame's words were doomed to an early grave yet again as the Hummingbird's wingbeats and voice casually entered the audial fray. The young magical girl backed up a little, hovering a foot or so above the ground as she tilted her head. No angle seemed to supply the information she so craved. "Who?" Again the grade schooler asked, genuine perplexion wrinkling her brow.

"Apologies, Shadowrender-san. Hummingbird is still learning to interpret magical auras, and often gets confused. Though I must ask, is there any reason for her to be confused outside of her own error?" Drat, that was a bit sloppy. Tsubame was beginning to doubt Shadowrender was telling the whole story, but that was too direct for her tastes. First priority, however, was to make certain Tsubame herself was seen as the aggressive one--Keiko did not need to make enemies. Her nosiness, however unintentional, could potentially antagonize other girls, especially one proud as Shadowrender.

"Just want to make certain we've got some options, in case we run into a Negari that's too much to handle alone." Midori entered the numbers into her phone. All of a sudden, Megumi shuddered.

"What's going on?" Midori asked the tiny fairy.

"Negari just formed, and a good size one, too. It's a ways off, but coming towards us. I think it's sensed us. We've got maybe two minutes before it gets here."

"Crap." Midori looked around. Wide open space, no civilians. Don't think it's a bad place for a fight. "Pink, Violet- you girls ready to strut your stuff?" A ball of electricity appeared in Midori's hand, waiting for the target to show itself.

Hoshi Nakajima

"Guh..."
Hoshi eloquently groaned as the line in front of her stalled, with the member at the front currently negotiating with the cashier about something involving coupons. It looked like it was gonna take a while before the Peanut Butter and Jelly cravings she and her cousin were nursing were going to be satisfied...

You have nobody to blame but yourself, Hoshi. Tendou's cool words drifted through the space between her ears. If you had just run to get Peanut Butter as you said, you likely would have gotten here ahead of most of these people.

Hoshi, arms laden with jars of peanut butter, a package of bacon, chips, and a few cartons of Greek Yogurt, frowned.

These were important purchases.

You came with 750 yen from Kyotaro's wallet, and left with roughly 750 yen left in your wallet.

S-So?

It was her money, she could spend it if she wanted!

But it would be wise to start learning to shop based on need as opposed to want. A fool and his money part quickly, Hoshi, and you should aspire to be unlike a fool— Try more like the young woman behind you.

At the fairy's prompting, the blonde looked over her shoulder to find the tall, pretty woman behind her who was none other than the school-wide famous Katsura Hyoukyo, notable bastion of intellect, wisdom, and ambition.

And now, Hoshi learned that the third-year was a smart shopper, too, with only two items as opposed to her... uuuuunder a dozen. As one would expect of such a bright student.

"Oh, would you want to go ahead, Hyoukyo-senpai?" Hoshi asked, stepping to the side and eliciting an amused chuckle from Tendou as she managed to simultaneously bowl over common courtesy even as she upheld it. "It looks like you've got a lot less stuff than me, so you'll be able to get outta here more quickly."

You do know she never gave you her name?

It'll be fine, she's famous! Like, legitimately a Star or something.

Well, at least they didn't laugh at her.

Although, it wasn't really much better this way, either, no matter how Kyōka looked at it. From the moment she'd begun her little introduction - only reluctantly transmitting her phone number over to the other two girls' phones as she did so, as she really wasn't sure yet whether she could trust them - the two of them had been giving her a very odd shared look. The pink one who hadn't spoken yet even gave her a big grin and made an odd squealing noise, like she'd just seen a cute puppy. Kyōka could practically feel herself being looked down upon, and her shame only built. Thankfully, it didn't last long, as the aforementioned Magical Girl jumped right in on the heels of her own introduction, and did so with considerably more zeal than her shyer counterpart. Posing flamboyantly, she introduced herself as...

"The Pink Delinquent?" She whispered to her fairy, her voice muffled by the other girl's continued speech.

"Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a Fairy companion with naming sense as good as mine, my dear miss Kyōka," Ariel replied, seeming tremendously pleased with herself.

"I see... Um... Thanks."

"Not a problem - all part of the job. Besides, I've had practice."

It seemed like the... umm... Pink Delinquent - it was still a little hard for her to take that name seriously - specialized in remote-controlling ribbons to attack her enemies. It seemed like something like that would be difficult to control properly, though. After all, Kyōka herself could barely keep control of a simple one-directional force output. She couldn't help but marvel that this other girl was able to keep it all straight. Even if she had a silly name, Pink-senpai was definitely somebody to be respected. Perhaps she'd take her up on her offer for advice... No, no, that would be too embarrassing. Besides, she'd only waste her time, and as an experienced Magical Girl, her time was valuable.

Unfortunately, speaking of the duties of a Magical Girl, it seemed like she'd be having to do her part after all, as at that moment, the fairy who'd introduced herself as Megumi seemed to notice something, and, in perfect sync, Ariel followed suit.

"Miss Kyōka, I don't want to be the bringer of bad news, or force you to do this, but it seems we'll have to fight after all," Ariel said gravely. Kyōka shuddered. Hadn't these two experienced magical girls referred to this as a "powerful" Negari? Was it really okay for an inexperienced amateur like her to get involved? More than just worrying about the potential for interfering with the others, Kyōka wondered if she could even do anything, or keep herself safe. "I know it's unpleasant, but if this creature is being drawn to our magical signatures, think of what will happen if you retreat. There's a chance you might lure it directly into a more populated area." Well, she couldn't really argue with that logic, but even so... She struggled to find a way out, only to draw a blank. So there really was no choice but to fight... Her legs were quivering a little, but she tried to hide it, took a deep breath, and stood her ground, bracing her right leg against the concrete. A faint violet light shot through the seams of her boot, and a similar glow began to build in her gloves.

"U-umm... I'll... do what I can to support you, then, senpai!" With that, she'd officially volunteered. Even if she wanted to, it was too late to regret this now.

As the conversation between the trio of magical girls was coming to a close, Shiina's mind was a blur - She had met 2 new magical girls and, while Aegis-chan was pretty reluctant, she got both of their phone numbers! Since Shiina didn't have her phone on her, she left memorization up to Ogata. After all, since she had to give up most of her magical energy for Shiina to use her skills, she was mostly delegated to the secretary and radar role. While Ogata seemed mentally occupied with repeating the digits over and over, the other fairies seemed to sense a presence in the distance. Another magical girl, perhaps? Shiina grew hopeful a second, before the looks on Ariel and Megumi's faces faltered slightly.

"Negari just formed, and a good size one, too. It's a ways off, but coming towards us. I think it's sensed us. We've got maybe two minutes before it gets here."

Shiina's blood immediately ran cold. A good-sized Negari having just formed? Every time Shiina had seen a Negari, newly formed or not, it was always incredibly small, the largest she's ever seen being just over the size of a Great Dane, and doglike in shape... As thoughts rushed through her mind, she hardly heard the other girls speaking, and it took Ogata snapping her fingers directly next to her ear for Shiina to snap back to reality.

"Yo Pink, weren't you complaining about not having a big fight yet? Not to mention, you got backup. Don't wuss out and make me regret igniting your heart."

The last part was a bit hurtful, but Shiina knew that Ogata didn't mean it. That was her way of motivating Shiina when she was worried about something. Nodding her head slightly, she slowly lowered the three ribbons attached to her dress down to the ground, extending them and keeping herself steady. By the time she was 40 feet in the air, she was able to see the Negari in the distance, rapidly coming closer. Roughly estimating it's sizes, Shiina guessed it's height to be somewhere around 10-15' tall and it looked like it weighed at least 2 tons. The creature was jet black and it knocked cars out of it's path as it made it's way right towards the group of girls. at it's current pace, it would be on them in about 1 minute and 30 seconds, and Shiina was very thankful that there seemed to be a lack of civilians. Shiina was almost as thankful that this was a beast-like Negari, as the only humanoid Negari she had ever seen was small, like an imp, and was by far the smartest Negari she had ever faced. This Negari didn't seem intelligent in the slightest however, as it preferred to move on as direct of a path towards the girls as possible, throwing cars out of the way rather than walking around them. Still though this would be the toughest fight she would ever participate in, but the fact that 2 other magical girls were assisting her comforted her slightly. Shiina slowly lowered herself from where she was and, by the time she was back on the ground, they had about a minute left, and the Negari was clearly audible, snarling and scratching the streets with it's claws.

As soon as she made it down, Shiina immediately readied her ribbons, extending them to their maximum length of 50 feet and keeping them loose and cloth-like, so she would be able to quickly bind the creature. Shiina knew her role in combat soon after unlocking her power: she was best at support, and should only attack if the enemy is strong enough to break her restraints (and considering this thing was flipping cars with only mild effort, it wouldn't be too surprising if it could rip through steel. Shiina called out to the other girls, ready to snap her ribbons forwards and wrap the Negari the second it entered her range.

"Be ready guys, this thing is coming quick. Stay in the rear, Aegis-chan, only attack if you have a clear shot."

Shiina didn't really enjoy being bossy, but she just wanted to make sure Aegis was safe. After all, her powers didn't seem that good at range unless she had a rock or something to push, and Shiina didn't think it would be a good idea to attack in melee, and the glowing blue sphere in her hand seemed that it would be pretty ranged. Just as the Negari came into view, Shiina immediately focused, poising her ribbons in unison to bind it when it got close.

Masako Imagawa

While Shadowrender offered an explanation, Masako wasn't entirely convinced. Could there have really been such an overwhelming mass of Negari that nobody but Shadowrender here had to to deal with, or even had noticed? She had to admit she didn't know the ins and outs of Negari perfectly just yet, but considering they were rabid monsters, such a concentrated attack with little evidence other than one disheveled Magical Girl seemed odd to her. Masako's suspicions were further raised by the fact that the little girl, Hummingbird, also expressed doubts as to the truth of her story. Whatever that thing was she held in her hands, it seemed to give her some insight as to what was wrong with Shadowrender.

"If there's something dangerous out there, you're only putting others in danger by keeping it secret." Lutin had chosen this moment to interject. "I certainly hope you're not letting your foolish pride cloud your judgement. Lives depend on the speedy extermination of Negari, and you'll be responsible if something goes unchecked because of you." Lutin was being brutally blunt right now. Masako only offered a sheepish grin in response; she hadn't intended to press the issue so forcefully, and she could only hope Lutin hadn't just offended the girl herself. The irony of it was not lost on Masako, but one look at Lutin told her she seemed convinced she was doing the right thing.

Yukimura Noriko

Unfortunately, it seemed that the magical girl didn't listen, too quickly speeding away for Noriko to be certain that the intended advice had been noticed. It wasn't the most important thing for a novice to learn but it was definitely high on those that helped avoid any early embarrassment. Young girls were not, as a rule, highly versed in how various different roofs were constructed.

Then a complete stranger came over to her. Had Akane been a moment later, the white-haired girl would already be on her way to get something to eat but in the presence of another fan... "That was definitely a magical girl! Her jumping was impressive yet unsteady and she does not appear to be anyone that the community has started to record details on. This must be her first time on the job!"

Maybe if she could meet more fans like this, she wouldn't have to rely on persuading other magical girls to hang around after a patrol to make friends?

葛 馮虚 (コペンハーゲン・スター)

The cool, contemplating gaze of Katsura Hyoukyo, class representative of East Umitori High's Class 3-G, swept over the familiar blonde who had addressed her, a sign of recognition immediately finding its way to her face. While she was not personally acquainted with the younger girl, she knew her to be a fellow student of hers, albeit one attending first year rather than third like her. The underclasswoman's name was, if she recalled correctly:

"There is no need, Nakajima-san," she replied politely with a kindly smile, the name slotting into her mind with little to no difficulty. Nakajima Hoshi was one of the more prominent first years, likely due to her exuberance, and the information she had obtained via osmosis was enough to identify the blonde quite quickly. "Thank you for your offer, but I do not wish to impose."

Why not take it, boss? We coulda gotten out more fast and get the sausages!

It is simply polite not to take advantage of an underclassman, and the amount of time saved is too miniscule to expend extra effort on.

Sausages are deffo worth the effort!

As are improving your manners.

The purple-haired girl merely gestured with a slender arm for the younger girl to retake her place in the line. Even if she had not been a member of the lower year levels, and thus deserving of a third year's duty to provide support to their younger brethren, Hyoukyo would have still refused to take advantage of the situation, no matter if the possibility that a single second could be saved remained. Not that it was likely, of course; of the second-hand information she had gleaned of Nakajima, there was a constant thread between them: the blonde was fast. Likely faster than her, meaning that she would merely be inconveniencing herself in she took the offer. It was wiser, then, to simply refuse.

Akane could barely contain her excitement. Not only had she seen a magical, even if it was only a quick glimpse, but she'd seen a new magical girl? That meant she could start spreading the word before anyone else! She could bring the world's attention to this new magical girl so quickly, as soon as she got home! It was a different kind of excitement then if she'd caught a glimpse of an established magical girl, but it was fact that any magical girl deserved to be reacted to with excitement and interest, no matter how unpopular they were! In Akane's eyes, this was the only way to feel about magical girls!

"Aaah, I'm going to have to spread the word about her right now!" Home was too far. Akane had to pull out her phone and post about meeting a new magical girl immediately. There was no way she was going to pass up getting to tell everyone what she'd just seen, no way at all! The quicker she did so the better chance there'd be that she was the first to talk about her too!

Only when she opened the Magical Girl Fan twitter, her eyes were immediately greeted with a worrying message.

"big negari on my street!"

"... E... eh?"

@Raineh Daze

Shadowrender Mitsuko's shoulders sagged and she let out a heavy sigh, leaning up against the wall. Not only was she exhausted, but now she had to deal with this? Besides, she wasn't exactly ready to cover what had happened in detail... It had been a rough night for her, to say the least. Of course they'd been able to figure out something else had been responsible. Of course. Her spear left her shoulders and the tip was planted solidly into the concrete.

"I got in a scuffle with another magical girl last night, okay?"

This wasn't the full story. But neither was she going to tell them that nor was she going to let on there was anything else to it. Sometimes magical girls fought.

It wasn't as if they'd believe anything else.

@NightinGem@Mercurial

Meanwhile, as the large Negari made its way towards the magical girls, it was being watched from a distance...

"Why?" Keiko's brow wrinkled as she blinked twice in confusion. Was Shadowrender-san still hiding something? She had magical girl and Negari colors on her, and this confused the winged magical girl. Plus, there was that sickly, sickly smoky color which made her want to gag, but was it Negari? Maybe? It was hard to tell, there were only traces. "Did you fight Negari too? Anyone else?"

A creature of the courts and high society's chess games, Tsubame knew all too well the girl wasn't telling them everything. She couldn't see herself cracking the spearhand's facade, though. It would be much easier if she could speak with the girl's fairy--wait a second. Where was Shadowrender's fairy? She should be healing the spearhand, or at the very least close by, but the fey was nowhere to be seen. This was worrying indeed.

"EAT LEAD, GRAVEL MUNCHER!!"

A noise like a train crashing into an aluminum shack enveloped the surrounding area, and a seemingly regretful negari was pulverized before dissipating.

A disembodied voice questioned the... unusual choice of language, "Gravel muncher?"

From Shimura Akiko, a young girl of no more than 14 years and the unlikely source of all this calamity, came the indignant retort, "Yes. Gravel muncher. Like biting the dust."

"Whatever just... hurry up. We need to get going before people show up; the whole city probably heard your lack of self-control." replied the voice, now given form in Belladonna, a master manipulator with little interest in the wellbeing of others.

"We've been at this for months now, and we've seen what, five? six? of these things. I can at least have a bit of fun when we do find something. Besides, it's not like we're going to see anything else tonight."

A split second passed and the bullets came whizzing right back into the cylinders of Akiko's oversized revolvers. She crouched down, waited for a few seconds, and went sailing off, leaving a spiderweb crack in the ground.

A short bit later, Akiko crashed down onto a near rooftop. "The worst part *huff* *huff* is the landing."

Akiko used about half of her magical potential in that frivolous display. Bell was right.

The magical girl looked over Akane's shoulder to see what she was writing (and try and work out how people managed to get out messages on phones quickly; when she had to use one, Noriko simply couldn't manage it with any sort of speed) and immediately went from amused to concerned. Someone was reporting a Negari on their street? That was concerning but even more importantly... where were they?

"Ah, could you please ask that person where they might be found?" asked the white-haired girl, unable to prioritise finding a non-suspicious way to ask for the necessary information. What would it matter if a complete stranger knew that she was a magical girl, anyway? It wasn't like they would ever meet again after this.

Masako Imagawa

Lutin was not entirely convinced by the girl's latest explanation. More than anything, it confirmed that she had lied to them once, and was therefore capable of lying to them again. Masako, on the other hand, though not entirely sure what to make of it all, was starting to feel rather sorry for the girl; whatever had happened, they were all here interrogating her as though she had committed a crime. "Um, perhaps we should give her a break?" She spoke up to the others. "There's little to be gained by giving her a hard time, surely? Let's just leave her be and get back to our duties?" Lutin rolled her eyes at Masako's suggestion, though she did not object. While she could care less if they hurt Shadowrender's feelings, she was also uncertain as to whether there was any merit in continuing with this questioning. She would just wait and see how the situation developed.
