Let me repeat what Vicier has already said.

This ability to break the fourth rule- no this power- has not been stated in Light's CS. It cannot be added now, therefore she has no breaking the fourth rule abilities in ANY way. This includes being able to see someone else breaking the fourth wall.

Yes, more than one world exists- Kalinda is bloody aware of that herself, as would so many other characters- but that does not mean she has the ability to break the fourth wall. The flash travels to different time lines, and worlds and he never has that ability.

In this roleplay that ability, in any way shape or form, is solely that of Deadpool and his off spring. And the duck. Whatever that duck is...

@Caits I agree with you. But even then Light would be very interested in what Deadpool/offspring had to say IC. Her thinking isn't super normal. Now can we talk about something else? Like how Toontown is back as a fan project? xD

Yes, but she can't be in any way, at all, aware of the breaking of the fourth wall- even the telepaths won't be aware that deadpool/child is doing that.

Have you watched the Deadpool movie? I was SUPER skeptical when I heard they were going to be doing one, but I watched it and I loved it. Why? They did the 4th wall so very well. It was subtle to the audience and the real fans got a laugh. But what I loved most was that the characters weren't even aware that he was doing it. It was like time was frozen and Wade was just having a moment. No one said a thing during the entire movie about it. No one questioned it. It just happened - they let Deadpool be Deadpool, and that was that. That's why he's Deadpool.

Sidenote: You haven't even begin to see Caits aggro - I'd rather not push her to what is aggro if I were you... o.o *shudders*

Ahem. Howard the Duck is a vaguely humanoid duck-like creature who was pulled from his home against his will, and was eventually shoved onto Earth 616. While he has no supernatural abilities apart from minor spells he picked up in his journies, but he is well trained in Quak Fu, a deadly type of martial arts that Howard uses to survive against much stronger enemies. In addition to this, Howard is perhaps Marvel's greatest detective mind, and has his own detective agency. And he's still better than Squirrel Girl.

Also, one last note on the issue: She-Hulk is also quite the fourth wall breaker. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Hey, I was wondering if, if Katie gets accepted, you two might want to have Carly and Jerome know about her. Katie's definitely going to know about them, what with her investigations and all, but they'd probably know her as well, since she's been offing a good amount of criminals working for or with the Joker.

Or should I ask again when tensions are a tad lower? I'm not too good at reading these kind of social signs.

I'm not in favour of any 4th wall-breaking heroes because few people do it well. I agree with @Caits that the toon character shouldn't have it, because it's silly, but I'm also uncomfortable because the objection seems to be in the name of making sure the Co-GM's Deadpool child is unique and special in the roleplay as the only one with the meta knowledge. Someone could make a child of She-Hulk and justify that power's placement – movies are not the be and end all of the comic book world. I feel like if it's banned for one person, it should be banned for everyone (including GMs) in the name of fairness, because right now it's quite alienating to see two different sets of rules for different people.

I don't know. I'm also worried that more arguments are going to develop, as we've already seen in the telepathy debacle, and also I think that the characters without the backing of a canonical parent (or two) are being placed at a disadvantage, because they don't have the 'lore' to back up huge lists of powers. People who have the creativity to create their own OC and put them in the roleplay shouldn't be shunted away as side-characters, and it certainly feels like that now.

Isn't there a rule somewhere that says all of the students are low-powered to begin with to allow room to grow?

Yes. There is a geneal consensus e about them being low powered. This is for them to develop their powers after all. However different situations do mean different levels of control

As for the rule being for no fourth wall breaking, I have stated I am happy for the child of dead pool to have it-why? Because he does it well: there is no favouritism going on here-I do not show favouritism. If someone had come to me asking if they could make a child of dead pool o would have allowed it for anyone- hell if someone wants to make a sibling for viciers girl go right ahead. She hulk is an alter form correct? Quite similar to Gwen pool. As they already exist as the hulk and deadpool here, they cannot be in this roleplay... or that's my thinking.

But in any case, I am closing this discussion. Because I feel like it could go on forever and I don't want that.

@Juno As someone who came from one of the older iterations of this RP, that isn't the case, though it may seem that way from your POV. Wr did have someone playing Deadpools son, and he wasn't a GM or coGm or anything.

Well that was interesting to wake up to. I don't know much about the fourth wall or break8ng it. I will say that I don't like characters I don't understand. Which is why I won't be interacting with Light much. This could change as I grow. But for me it's hard to interact with characters that I don't understand. Now I need to find people to interact with so I can post.....

Well apparently its totally free, I don't know how the chat function works, but from what I remember, even if it is code based like the last time, you can just use rugs in your house to spell out the code for others.

I'll try to get a post up later, not feeling so great today.
