Hector Sea

Hector stepped out into the parking lot and located his car, fumbling around with the keys and unlocking the door. Hector entered the car and located the ignition, and pressed the key first the wrong way and then the right way into it. This would be his first time driving a car, but he had ridden in one before and was given lessons in how to drive courtesy of the Camarilla. Hector enjoyed the new technology of the ages, but he needed some time to get acclimated. He put his feet on the gas pedal and the car exploded forward, Hector slammed on the brakes and went slower on the gas next time. He worked his way out of the parking lot and headed out into the road.

Hector remembered the man with no mouth, and that he was being targeted by the cult. Hector drove out back to the warehouse, and went to were the man was being held. He activated his Auspex while touching some of his blood on the floor, and saw a vision of a scarfed man sitting in a church. Hector knew where he was how to find him. He headed out back to his car, but saw something strange on his way there.

There was a woman with scales, horns, a tail and wings overlapping a normal looking figure. Hector found this to be bizarre, this was a supernatural he had never occurred in his 600 years of life. He approached, cautiously, and said:

"Excuse me, but what are you?"

“Ahhmmm~~~” Elleonora made a pleased sound as she stretched her arms, leaving the building where the self defense classes took place. Today was actually payday so she now had good money in her pocket. Frankly... she was making a living albeit just enough. With the money she got from her side job as model for usually adult magazines, she somehow or other managed to keep just enough money in hand to live a good life with enough luxuries to not have the right to complain about. Well it wasn't always nice because of this dual nature of hers. She felt that half her being was content with this life and the other half hungered for something way greater. She had decided never to complain though, so she simply took life as it was, struggling to maintain the point of equilibrium.

Best thing was that she could take out Jane for lunch tomorrow, after paying her part of the bills. Thus in this fine night, with a smile on her face she slowly walked down the streets, just waiting to reach her favorite side alley where no one was ever present, just so she could take off and stretch her wings properly.

She was currently dressed in low cut jeans and open back frilly shirt made of thin veil like material that was blowing gently by the air as she walked. Elleonora had just about reached the alleyway when she heard a voice call out to her. She turned to the side, raising an eyebrow as she faced the man who talked to her.” What is it that you mea...n... ohh” She started quickly with the standard question to divert from the topic. She was pretty sure there weren't humans who can see her form, but it seemed this one was not human... This was something else. Judging by the pale skin...” Bugger...” She mumbled, making an expression of complex thinking.” Frankly nothing that would concern someone like you. Or to be precise nothing that you should concern with.” She stated, just in case the silly humans were listening. Not that changelings like herself were harmless, far from it. Just that she didn't want to really get involved in anything of this kind. What a bad luck for someone to randomly spot her. He must be using an ability to see through the mask. She really doubted they were looking for her in specific. She very briefly considered just bolting into the alleyway and then flying up.

“Can I help you with something or you just wanted to ask that?” She asked, wanting to know before hse decides on a course of action.

The woman just nudged him off with a blunt remark, Hector didn't take to kindly to this. Hector's Auspex faded away as his vision returned to normal. He saw that the woman who once had wings protruding out of normal body was now just a normal woman. She must be hiding herself with something. As long as she didn't reveal the supernatural to humans, Hector didn't have a problem with her, but just in case Hector let her off with a warning.

"Reveal that form to any humans and we're going to have a problem. We don't want another Inquisition on our hands, but you're probably too young to know of it." Hector said to the girl. Before she could retort to his warning, Hector dissipated into Dark Shadows and went to his car. He turned the engine on and headed for the church where Lucas was taking shelter.

Hector pulled up to the driveway of the church and took a look around. It was a quaint little place, there was some greenery which you didn't usually see in L.A. Hector could hear the birds chirping-the sun was going to come up soon. He had to be quick about this. He entered the church and used Auspex, locating Lucas easily. He approached him, and as he looked into his eyes he Dominated Lucas. Hector threw a pad and a pen at him, and told him to write down everything he knew about the Demon Cult of Cidahl.

Adam was on a walk. This was not uncommon, but lately, his little walks had been..tense. His senses were on overdrive, and it was almost painful, but Adam could deal with pain. It was more how..big the world seemed, ever since he learned about Ada, what she was..and what he was. That..that was more then pain. It was confusion and paranoia and..Adam heard something. There, from that alleyway..he strained his ears..what, don't..reveal that..
Adam's heart thudded a little faster. Maybe it was someone like him in that alleyway. A little voice in his head whispered on how Ada could change too, but still, he had to have hope right? He took a deep breath and headed towards the alleyway. When he finally reached the place he called out to woman, using a soft voice.
"Hey..I uhhh, heard that exchange, and..what form did he mean, and I'm cool, I'm not a hunter or anything.."

The church was dark and quiet. The worshipers had long since gone home, and Father Walter was exhausted after coming home from the hospital and taking care of a doped up Lucas. The mouthless man, once home, had immediately wanted to go to bed. It had taken some firm coaxing to talk him into taking a shower and changing clothes before he crawled into his nest.

Lucas was now only visible by a shock of wild black hair just barely sticking out from under a pile of blankets. He had put on the first set of pajamas he could find in his dresser, which happened to be the hand made flannel ones he'd received as a Christmas present from one of the elderly women who worked in the church office. They were red with little brown, happy gingerbread men on them.

Lucas, still drowsy from the pain medication the doctor had prescribed him, didn't wake up at first. He laid on his stomach, sprawled out under what looked like far too many quilts for the season. How was he not hot? Finally, the young man seemed to notice that something was off. He turned over slowly and cracked his eyes open. He just barely could focus on the dark figure standing in his small bedroom. Lucas jumped and flailed to get out from under his mess of covers. He fell from his bed almost immediately, thumping against the hardwood floor in a mass of fabric and body. Once he managed to get himself untangled, he quickly stood and scooted with his back pressed against the wall until he was in the corner farthest from the strange man. He instinctively held his casted arm against his chest, afraid that this intruder was here to hurt him even further.

When a notepad and pen were tossed at him, the man was quick to snatch them up and hurl them back at the intruder, as if they could possibly do any sort of damage. The stranger said something about the cult, but Lucas wasn't exactly in the mood to cooperate. When he, finally, met the man's eyes, he seemed to ease up a bit. This stranger didn't seem to be here to hurt him...maybe he should tell him about the cult. At least, whatever shockingly little he knew about them.

Priscilla Brown

Priscilla Brown wanted to hunt down the cult; she knew they were in Santa Monica. However, she just got a message from the other Lucas, Lucas Lee. This message was an official order: A Mage had just awoken in a Moderate/Secular Muslim household, and she should recruit him to the Chorus. Recognizing the need for swift action, Priscilla at once sends an E-mail to all three members of Anat Nesin's family, cordially inviting them to an 'Interfaith Families Meeting For Fighting Bigotry and Violence in the Neighborhood'. To ensure that there was a genuine Interfaith meeting, she arranged for several families, most of them connected to the Celestial Chorus by having members in that organization or otherwise serving it, to arrive as well.

How can she do this at short notice? Correspondence. Also, she swallowed her nervousness of Catholics in order to send an invitation to Father Walter via Internet as well, asking for his good offices for such an initiative.

As the trio burst through the back door, with Sammy sprinting to their car as the other two took cover on the outside of the doorway, popping out to take a few pot shots at the cultists still in the building, something caught Bobby's eye that piqued his interest. It looked like the Glabro form of a Garou, but far more feline. If he wasn't mistaken, that was one of the Khan. A Weretiger. He'd never seen one himself, but he had stories.

As Sammy came around with the car, the other two piled in quickly, still with rifles clenched and aimed out the windows. "Follow those cars!" Bobby called out of the sound of gunfire as he fire off a few more shots into the door way of the club. "One of them is Fera, I think. We have some things to chat about."

'Well this was a thing that happened.' Elleonora thought while the vampire decided to warn her about not showing her real form to anyone or htey were going to have a problem.' Like I can simply show it to anyone...' She thought in irritation, heading back into the alleyway finally. Like an inquisition can do anything to her. She had her wings. As such, she could always just fly away and never return. Normal humans cannot keep up with her unless they have vehicles, but she can move to places where cars cannot follow and from there just head whereever. Well there were other dangers, but in the grand scheme of things, if she wanted to vanish she could.

With a deep breath she swung her wings wide open, their grand appearance looking majestic in hte scarce night lights, her emerald green scales, giving of beautiful green reflections. In this ideal moment as she was about to swing her wings again to take off, another voice reached her ears and she stopped in her tracks, the wings still spread, she barely turned as to not case them to blow air, like a paperfan, into the intruder to her ideal moment.

Her face was calm, but in her mind a variety of emotions had surged.' Are you kidding me?' She thought, looking up and down at the man. The wya he spoke was just weird and frankly suspicious on it's own right. What was his idea of approaching her now htough? It was that vampire's fault. He's mouth got the better of them and now this happened because this one seemed to have heard that 'speech'." Truly tonight is not my lucky night." She finally said, slowly pulling her wings back into folded positions.

"Tell me, what is it that you want?" She asked with quite the elegant voice and intonation." You stated you are cool and not a hunter, but you didn't state your intentions. What is your reason for appraochig me here?" She asked, still also waiting for him to at least introduce himself as was common manners. If you call out to someone, you should at least introduce yourself.

Adam took a deep breath in. He always did have trouble talking with people..and she made him feel..nervous. But he could do this, he got this!
"Uh..I'm Adam and uh.."
Screw it, might as well get straight to the point, no lollygagging.

As Lucas began to give in to Hector's Dominate, Hector could see the sky slightly changing colors. "Oh no" Hector thought, as sun began to poke it's head up. Hector used Obtenebration to create sunlight resistant shadows and used them to shield himself in his car. He continued to keep them up for as long as he could, birds chirping and sunlight raging down, as he hightailed it back to the basement of Ventrue Tower.

The Nesim household received the message, and Anat's mother called her son. He didn't live in their household anymore, but things like this Anat would always end up getting dragged along to if he didn't have work or something else planned. 'Oh well,' he'd think, 'It keeps them happy'. Chelsea would avoid the meeting however, as she not only didn't want to go but actually had work when it was set to happen.

And so later that day, Anat dressed up in some of the only casual clothing he had that was appropriate for a church, a plain black t-shirt and a pair of jeans, met with his parents at their house. The drive to the church wasn't far, but in Anat's mind it took forever. His usual methods of passing time weren't exactly applicable to a car ride with his parents, so all he had was a phone with which to chat with his usual online group of misfits. Of course however his mother lectured him to put that away when they actually got to the church, but by the time they were there Anat figured he could find some place off to the side.

When the three arrived they were 10 minutes early, and almost immediately split off. Anat's Mother and Father headed off to find the meeting, hoping to find the person who sent the email so they could thank them for the invitation. They would be active participants throughout the night in discussion, barely remembering that their son was off somewhere else within the church till it was time to leave.

Meanwhile, Anat sat off towards the back of the church, having put away his phone and put it on silent mode. With relative seclusion from prying eyes and listening ears, Anat was able to do something he found a lot more interesting than anything on his phone. In a soft, yet firm voice Anat began to speak in a language that only members of the Celestial Choir should know: Enochian. "Angel of this place, by my authority as a Child of God I call you forth." From the alter in the front of the church rose a being, neither man nor woman. Its face and features were like they were carved of marble, yet still seemed soft to the touch. From its back came an pair of eagle's wings, spreading out to its full length at first. It then proceeded to the back of the church, sitting down next to Anat as the two began to speak, mostly of the church's history, but also of The Divine.

It was not a completely obvious display of magic however. Mages would notice something off about the area, but it would take Spirit Sight to see the scene for all it was. Mortals would simply not notice anything.

Priscilla Brown

As Priscilla spent her time discussing matters with Anat's Parents, there would be no distractions for the Spirit Anat himself had conjured up as it began narrating the backstory of the Church's current warden.

Priscilla Brown was an anglicized Native American; english-speaking, english-thinking, fairly well-off yet somewhat afraid of having lost her way. She joined the Episcopalian Church to find her way, became a female priest and was good at it. She rose to become a will-worker, a Child of God, just like you, but more hopeful, more naive. Now she protects, protects those who cannot help themselves. And she has called you here, Anat Nesim, for we are in an unjust war.

There are two factions of God's Children, each of whom believe they are doing what is best for the world, for people. The Traditions are Priscilla's faction for now; they believe in mysticsm, miracles, and magic, as well as theories of science dismissed today by the consensus as 'obsolete'. They are united against the Technocracy, a group who once believed in making miracles and magic accessible to everyone using Science, in uplifting everyone into a level of respect, and in breaking the 'cage of mortal misery and supernatural predation' that binds those without the ability to will miracles into being. That was long ago, for them.

For the Technocracy have lost their way. Their desire to keep the 'Sleepers' - mundane mortals - safe has been corrupted into a need for control. They seek to suppress belief in Magic and Miracles, in order to ensure that everything is known, that everything is safe, that the only wonder and imagination they permit is within their paradigm. But the Traditions are not innocent either. Their desire to promote Magic and Miracles sometimes becomes a burning need to rule over the Sleepers and return the world into the dark ages of mortal misery and supernatural predation. That too, has to be avoided.

Now, to instruct you on the Nine Spheres, the Nine Divisions of Reality...

Father Walter slept in a bit late the next day. The events of the prior night had taken it out of him. By the time he got up, got dressed, and checked his e-mail, the meeting he was invited to was about to start. He read through the e-mail and replied that he would be more than happy to attend such an event. He quickly poured himself some coffee and grabbed a bagel for the road.

As the priest walked towards the large double doors that fronted the church, he passed by the thin, willowy shadow of his ward. Lucas watched him warily, not wanting to be left alone again. It seemed that, even in his own bedroom, he wasn't safe. Of course, Father Walter knew nothing of the visitor last night.

"I won't be gone long," The elder man promised. "Just...try to stay out of trouble. There's some new books in the library if you would like to read them."

Lucas shrunk back into the doorway he had emerged from. He peaked around the corner as Father Walter left, going out to his old sedan to head over to the Episcopalian church that was only a few blocks away. He drove up into the parking lot not too long later. He was dressed in a crisp white dress shirt and a black blazer, matched with dress pants. The collar around the neck of his shirt, black with a little white piece in the front, was the only indication of his occupation. He walked up to the church, pausing to admire the architecture. He'd honestly never been this up close to the place before; he'd never had a reason to be.

He walked up the steps to the large front door, still in good shape for a man his age. He paused at the door, not sure if he should knock or not. Probably not, they probably wouldn't hear him. He pushed the large wooden door open and stepped inside.

Anat listens to the Angel as it speaks. It wasn't the conversation that Anat expected, but it was certainly interesting. Especially the word about another of God's Children, and other factions such as this "Technocracy". He'd listen to all the Angel would say, even his talk of the Spheres, which to him were the Sephirot. As time passed and the Angel didn't have much more to say, Anat made his way to the meeting, taking a seat near his parents and looking at Priscilla with knowing eyes.

He'd get his chance to talk to her openly. Now was either the time to wait out this meeting, or wait till she made a move.

This was starting to get too much like a bad movie for his taste...

“Well, Adam, my name is Elleonora, nice to meet you.” She said with completely polite and friendly voice as if she just wasn't irritated. True enough she was slightly irritated, but her internal nobility instincts kicked in and she switched to friendly, noble voice and expression, planning to act with utmost patience and understanding of this strangely uncertain and shy looking young man. There was also the fact that well.

“A werewolf?” She repeated slightly amazed and surprised at his question. She chuckled softly, putting a hand in front of her hand. Following that she sighed and smiled to Adam, shacking her head slightly.” How would you come to that conclusion even?” She asked softly, throwing at him a curious glance.” You know what, I will be direct with you, I am not one.” She stated firmly calm voice.” Why, were you searching for one?” She asked, noting the advance of time and the fact sun was to show up not too long from now.” Actually, do you want to go for a breakfast?” She asked finally.” We can talk on the way...”

(collab between Zaxter, Tanderbolt and Grec)

The Taxi cab, now seperated from it's owner followed Simones car as she found an empty parking lot outside a logistics warehouse by the freeway. After being satisified that they were alone, she stepped out of the car and addressed her companions. "There are introductions to be made, but I prefer to ask what is on my mind before we learn trivial matters about each other. I have three questions that I request you answer. Are you interested in places where our world seeps into others? Do you have any familiarity with the victorian brownstone by Venture Tower? And finally, what, if anything, are you afraid of?

"Firstly, yes. Secondly, not at all. Thirdly, nothing." Replied Bobby as he stepped out of his band's car, rifle still in hand. The other two also emerged from the car, and Sammy looked like he was trying hard not to laugh. "Now that's just not t-" He was cut off by Jake, who was next to him, nudging him in the side.
"Are you the one who found the Caern?"

Tony interrupted Jake. "Wait, there's a Caern around here? And yes woman, I'm interested in places like Caerns if that's what you mean; and no, I'm not scared of anything." Yukie nudged Tony. "Hmph, you seem scared when Hengeyokai overpower you." Yukie said to Tony. Tony rubbed the back of his head in embarrasment.

Simone cracked a small smile. "I like those answers. Call it a Caern if you want, naming something brings comfort to us, it gives us the feeling that we have power over it. The Tremere's, vampires who practice a simulacra of maigc, make their home in this city on top of such a place. It is of no use to them and their false wizardry. I propose we gain access to this place, using whatever method is easisest."

This caused Bobby to smirk, nodding. Tony nodded,  indicating that he was ready to join in on the operation. The sun came up as the sound of birds echoed through the city.

Priscilla Brown

Father Walter would enter the church, and see Anat going to the conference room at the same time. Perhaps he should follow the Middle Eastern boy? Either way, once they entered, they would see Priscilla chatting enthusiastically about the best ways people of different faiths can stand in solidarity with each other. Not merely that, but she would also share basic safety and legal tips, as well as recommend self-defense dojos and non-lethal weapons like pepper spray and tasers.

Once the female Episcopalian priest saw her male Catholic counterpart, she would greet him warmly, genuinely glad he would come here. She would then face Anat, and when the latter faced her, he would see that Priscilla was positively blazing with fire he would recognize as Angelic. She would then wave.

Hector Sea

Hector drove through the streets, keeping the protective shade up to hide him from the sun. It was draining his blood fast, and he needed to get to Ventrue Tower quickly. He drove into the parking lot and headed into the sewer, where he knew about a secret entrance that lead into the basement which had a place where he could sleep. Hector entered the basement and dissipated his shadow after closing the blinds on the windows and climbed onto the bed. He closed his eyes and he began to mellow out and drifted off to sleep.

Hector was suddenly in the ocean, standing on a ship. He looked at the flag and recognized it as the pirates ship he operated in during the Dark Ages. Hector went to the sides and breathed in the ocean air. Oh, how he wanted to dip into the ocean and rest in a trance, asking questions to the Abyss.

"Hector, viewing the sea as always?" Hector could hear the captains call. Hector turned around and saw the Devil of the Deep, Esperanza Lucifer and the Third Mate, Ambrogino Giovanni. Esperanza was a fellow member of the Lasombra clan, who was just one generation above Hector, and the two where rumored to be lovers. Ambrogino was a member of the Cappadocian Clan of Death, and member of the Giovanni family. He was a powerful necromancer with a corpse-like complexion. The trio of Sea, Lucifer and Giovanni were one of the deadliest pirate crews in the Mediterranean, and were feared throughout the land and sea as pirates for the Sabbat. Hector was taken aback, he didn't expect to be back here again.

"Uh...yeah. I just wanted to see the waters again." Hector said to his coterie.

"Starboard ahead, we have incoming!" Hector ran to the other side of the ship and saw the enemy vessel. It was the Italian Navy, looking to put an end to any of the pirates they could find. Unluckily for them, this was the last ship you wanted to encounter in the Mediterranean. They approached the side of the ship and began firing their cannons. Hector and Esperanza blocked the shots with shadowy tentacles emerging from the ocean. Ambrogino summoned an army of the dead on the Navy Vessel, and the soldiers began to panick as they were slaughtered by the undead. When the cannons stopped firing, black tentacles started to emerge next to the Navy Vessel and pulled it under the waters. Ambrogino approached Hector and Esperanza.

"Another victory, seniors! Let us celebrate with a feast of our human cattle on the bridge!" Ambrogino said. This was sounding like an excellent idea, but then the cheering and celebrating gave way to fluorescent light as Hector's eyes opened. He looked to the side and saw a man watching him.

"I mean you no harm. We wish to make you our leader of our cult, Angellis Ater"

"Alright, follow me." She stated and gestured for him to do so as she headed out of the alleyway, her plans to fly away falling to pieces now. She kept her wings just slightly relaxed and let further from her body since this early in the mornign there was practically no one ou there to bump into her and if someone showed, she could just pull the wing away quickly so all was good." There's a fast food place over there." She pointed a corner she frequented when she left work at night shifts as today.

"So... why are you alone out here anyway?" She asked without specifying anything just to appear as normal conversation." Don't you usually ask your family about this?" There was the distict possibility of him being an orphan or something which would make sense as of why he's a werewolf searching for werefolies in a CITY of all places. Not that tehre shouldn't be any here, just that from what she had noticed cities were usually more of a vampire thing than werewolves.

"Just order what you want." She said with a smile as they approached. She herself was going to go with 3 medium burgers which was quite a lot for woman her size, but then again well draconic apetite. besides she was not human in the end.
