Day 1 - First Lessons!

The sun shone brightly on the large building of Komei Academy. It was day was clear a beautiful day in Hosu, Japan, a great way to kick off this school year. The news reported villain activity being low, though it warned the public of villains who were still at large. There was always one villain who never failed to be on that list of villains ever since he first appeared, the Hosu Thief, Quirk Unknown. Citizens were encouraged to upgrade security and stay cautious on their outtings.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

A large crowd of Komei Students gathered up at the front gate entrance, waiting to be given access onto academy grounds. Normally, the gates would open whenever someone scans their ID card in the terminal off to the side. It was already 8:14, the gates should've been opened over an hour ago. Students who arrived later started to panic and there was no sign of a teacher to resolve this problem. It was highly emphasized in their schedules to show up in class at 8:30 or else they will face severe consequences. At this rate, quick thinking would be needed to make it on time or suffer the consequences of being tardy.

8:15

The gates immediately granted access and students rushed through the gates, though when is rushing ever highly effective? Occasionally one student would accidently drop their ID card or mistakenly scan their card in the wrong way, causing the gates to instantly close and wasting precious time. Above all else, people were shoving each other and making the process longer than it should be.

The doors leading to the main classroom building were blocked by Sarge, the head of security, and two other security guards. It was just one obstacle after another! When one student tried to force his way past Sarge he showed no restraints and roughly pushed the kid a couple of meters away from him with one hand. Anyone with a sane mind will know not to mess with Sarge or the security in general.

"Sorry, but we were ordered not to allow any students in this way!The ground floor area of this building is blocked off to students until further notice!" One of the security guards announced. With this in mind, students with flying/leaping abilities searched for any opened windows to get through. Unfortunately for them, all the windows were shut and the doors leading to the roof were locked as well. It was a terrible idea to break through the windows knowing full well the academy is strictly againts vandalism.

At this moment, the only available entry points were through the left or right extensions of the building. There were stairs leading to the next floor which would allow the students to access the main classroom building. However, before they could reach the end of the corridor leading to the area, another obstacle was blocking their path.

The rookie Assistant Teacher, Isshin. Stood in the middle of the hallway adjusting his glasses and smiling like some kind of villain. He faced the student's direction as they were making their way towards him and briefly glanced at his watch.

"Oh my, Look at the time. It is 8:20, you kids better rush to class before you are makred absent. Chop Chop!" He clapped his hands twice. " Komei Academy has implented a new zero tolerance policy on absences. Let's see, if i recall correctly... anyone who is marked absent will be expelled from the Academy! Better hurry!"

The moment Isshin walked off to the side, the students would see eleven clones performing different actions that only made the corridor difficult to navigate through. Four clones were applying paint to the walls with extended paint rollers, while two were changing the lights in the ceiling. Wait, what's this? One clone was taking a nap while the remaining four were playing cards! Isshin believed that this was a full proof plan to slow the students down.

The lights were suspiciously flickering in the hall and there was an ominous low pitched screeching noise coming from one of the rooms. An empty swivel chair was pushed out from one of the rooms and rolled its way out into the middle of the corridor. Kiwi Poked her head out from the same room with a mischievous expresson on her face upon seeing the students. She walked out of the room and took a seat in the chair, holding a large syringe in her arms.

"Students! Do you have time for a small check up? I do like to keep my medical records up to date after all...I believe most of you require a blood test." She called out to them while flicking the tip of her needle with her finger and gazed at the students. There was a menacing atmosphere surrounding Kiwi which caused some of the weak willed students to petrify in fear and avoid getting any closer to her.

Mina checked her phone. Only sixteen minutes until she was late, and the ominous threat of 'severe consequences'. Her mom warned her that they make day one a very difficult test and expel those without potential. She has also given Mina the advice that "no matter what happens, stay calm."

So Mina was calmly tapping her foot, calmly gritting her teeth, calmly trying to stop her heart from bursting with stress, and calmly watching the gate not open. She checked her phone again. 8:15. Now the gate opened, and Mina immediately sprinted inside the grounds. Now the stress was gone, and she was re-afforded control. She was now something close to being called calm, as she efficiently scanned her card and slipped through the gates with ease, before people started to congest the barriers in their panic.

She eyed up the large man stationed at the entrance to the classromm. Even before he announced that he wouldn't let the students use that entrance, Mina had figured that much out herself and had made a beeline for the right entrance. She stopped right before the door, got her breath back, fixed her hair and uniform, then strolled in with an air of dignity.

Right Wing

Mina immediately noticed, and rolled her eyes, at the spoooooky atmosphere that had been set up. It was like the haunted hose of a fairground. Did they honestly expect anybody to-

Mina jumped out of her skin and made a loud 'Eep!' sound when the chair shot of of a side-door and rolled to a stop in the corridor. The young lady quickly glanced beside her to see some students had caught up. Luckily, they were too busy and panicked to have pointed and laughed. Mina leered at the crowd anyway, then turned back and carried on. That's when she almost ran into the emerging school nurse. Or...a teacher dressed as one. Mina wouldn't judge. At least not until she's less busy with trying not to be expelled. Then she'll judge.

"Students! Do you have time for a small check up? I do like to keep my medical records up to date after all...I believe most of you require a blood test," spoke the nurse.

Mina sensed a lot of danger coming from this woman. On the other hand, this sense to not get closer was nothing compared to Mina's will to make it into this school. She would not lose at the first hurdle! Swallowing her fear and steeling herself, put on her ever-professional mask of rigid, inexpressive pomp, and approached the nurse.

"I have to get to class," Mina started, rolling up her sleeve, "but make it quick!"

Taking advantage of the fact that the nurse probably was not expecting a student to actually volunteer to get blood taken, Mina closed the gap between them, quickly raised her bare limb, and from her whole upper-arm, emitted a blinding flash of light, which will have stunned all the students behind her as well as Kiwi. While she was reeling from that, Mina bolted past her, and onward towards the classroom.

From inside the classroom, Sam chuckled at the manically running students and pulled out a tablet. He had gotten to the school hours ago, sleep being to terrifying to contemplate, and had simply flown up to the third floor and taken at seat at a desk near the back. It was at the furthest distance from the window, and he was glad of that.

No one noticed him in that corner. In the dim light of the morning sun, his translucent body was practically invisible. Nervous about meeting a bunch of new people, he starting reading Thud, one of his favourite Discworld books, as a way to calm himself down. In the empty classroom, a ghostly student read. It was something out of an urban legend, the childish school ones that involve 'orrible murder.

Lysander was just on time for class. 8:15 sharp, giving him about 15 minutes to get to class. Only problem being the freaking doors weren’t open and when they did the security prevented use of the main entrance. ”Well this is just fantastic. We just got here an- AAH!” He said. He was mid rant and a wave of students pushed him to the right wing, his arms and legs catching on the garments of several students, one of which seemed to be strong enough to carry him all the way to the doors.

He took a look at the nurse with her needle and saw how everyone was afraid. What it was that scared them he didn’t know, needles weren’t that bad. He took a few steps forward before a girl ran up and seemed to explode into light. It was bright to the point that he had the afterimage of a forearm burned into his eyes and every time he blinked all he could see was that forearm in reds and blues. He put his fists over his eyes and stumbled forward, most other students stepping aside after a metallic poke touched them in the back or the neck or leg. He finally regained vision and blinked a few times. He was just about in line with the nurse, a few feet to her left and out of range of her.

”Hey, is classroom 1A closer to this side or the other? I heard being late was hella bad.” He said, no sense of fear in his voice. He had a confused look on his face as he pointed to his badge that displayed all of his student information, making a clicking noise with his mouth and showing his teeth.

"Aaaaaaah!"

Mamoru screamed as she ran towards the school. How could she have been so naive! She had thought waking up at 8 o'clock would give her plenty of time to do her usual morning ritual and get to school, but as the minutes counted down she realized that what seemed like a short, routine thing actually took up a precious amount of time. Already ten minutes had passed when she realized she wouldn't be able to make and eat breakfast without edging dangerously close to the 8:30 mark, and possibly be late for class. So instead she ran as fast as she could to school. Unfortunately it seemed like everyone else had the same issue as she did, as there was a massive crowd!

By the time Mamoru had gotten past the gate it was 815. She thought this would be plenty of time to get to class until she noticed that the may entrance was blocked! Three of the security guards, including Sarge, was blocking the way. For some reason or another the students wouldn't be allowed through. Mamoru tried her best to think of another way around, but she couldn't; she simply didn't know the layout of the school well enough to figure that out, and trying to follow everyone else will surely just have her stuck in a crowd. "Ngh... I got no choice... I'll just have to go head on!"

Mamoru observed Sarge roughly push some of the other students back. Most lacked the sheer strength to push back, nor the agility to dodge him and his two security guards. Mamoru was not most. She waited for one of the students to distract Sarge as she made a dash right past him. of course, the professional hero wasn't going to be so easily bypassed. In a flash he was right in front of Mamoru with one hand shooting out to stop her. But just as quickly Mamoru raised her hand and materialized her shield, Aegis, to absorb the force of Sarge's push. For him it'd feel like his hand just suddenly stopped as Mamoru twisted her body around him and continued running forward. The sheer shock of Mamoru somehow bypassing Sarge gave the other two guards pause, just enough for Mamoru to run past them before they could catch her.

"I'm sorry I promise I won't touch anything goodbye!"

Mamoru didn't waste time heading to her lockers and simply went straight to class, entering at 825 exactly. She slammed the door open and slid in, nearly crashing into the teacher's desk. "Safe!"

Donny was late simply because he was sluggish. He woke up at 730, used the bathroom, ate breakfast, and took his sweet time to school. It wasn't even 8 and there was a large crowd. Still he didn't rush, he didn't push, and he simply look the long way around. "I guess I'm walking." When Donny reached the hall that was being lazily cleaned up, he simply walked around them carefully. He made sure not to get in anyone's way, and if he did he was able to slide to the side. Thanks to coming early, he even managed to get to his locker to put away his shoes and other belongings, taking only his school books. He kept a snack with him sine he was feeling a bit hungry.

Walking through the door just after Mamoru, Donny went over to an empty seat near the front and put his things down. He took out his snack, a bag of chips, and munched away as everyone was getting to class. He browsed the internet on his cellphone, watched a few videos, and bookmarked a few links of recipes he would try to make later today. When he finished eating his chips Donny started to eat the bag.

~One Week Ago~

The blonde girl sat by the side of the train tracks, a faint breeze passing through the station and sending her faintly-glowing hair fluttering in front of her eyes. She frowned, staring intensely at the errant strands as if doing so would make them remove themselves from her field of view obediently, which, surprisingly, it did. A few quick sparks flashed through her bangs, sending them poofing sharply out to either side of her face, as though shocked upright by static electricity, while a single strand that had formerly draped itself lazily across the bridge of her nose now stood bolt upright, pointing directly skyward from the crest of her scalp.

Fumika herself didn't so much as twitch, however - she was too lost in thought. She just stared forward, continuing to gaze idly down over a nearby guardrail, and onto the town below the hill. Unfolding before her eyes was a familiar landscape - a forest of houses across the roofs of which she and Haruka had silently bounded, separated by streets through which they'd raced. The long, winding road down the slope of the hill from school seemed to glow in the morning sun, reminding her of days gone by. This was home, or at least, it had been.

It had been, but it wouldn't be anymore. Fumika wasn't sure what it was she wanted, but she wondered if it was something other than this. Sitting here on this early morning, about to set off on her own, the bleary-eyed girl found the conviction she'd felt up until now, the certainty she'd had of her objective, starting to slip. To fulfill Haruka's dream for her... it would make her happy, but wouldn't she be lonely? Wouldn't Fumika be lonely, too? Without Haruka to talk to, and without her mom and dad to look out for her as she moved out on her own, she'd be left all by herself. Was that really the right choice to make? She remembered what it was like, being an observer noticed by no one. The days she'd spent without so much as saying a word, that had wasted idly without exerting herself in the least, were still fresh in her perfect memory. Compared to how things had been since she'd met Haruka, those memories were dull... lifeless. She didn't want to return to those days. But at the same time, if she stayed, what would she do then? This dream, even if it was inherited from someone else, was the only real goal she had. Without it, what would she strive for? What would she live for? What was the objective she was supposed to complete to make people happy with her, to make them say she'd done a good job?

She didn't know, so she did the only thing she could. She shook these anxious thoughts from her mind, and resolved to carry on. Even if she'd be sad, if it made Haruka happy, it would all be worth it in the end. That alone should have been enough to re-assure her that she was making the right choice. It should have been, but it wasn't.

Fumika sighed ever-so-slightly, biting the inside of her lip. In all of her recorded memories, she had never once uncertain of what she was doing, since she almost never chose what she did herself when her actions might matter enough to worry about. But, now that she looked back on her words that day in the hospital... Haruka had never once asked her for this, even if she had accepted Fumika's offer with a smile. So, then... did that mean she'd volunteered for something this important without thinking about the consequences? Why had she done something so reckless? She couldn't turn back now without betraying her friend's expectations, but she couldn't proceed without betraying what she herself wanted. No matter which choice she made, she'd still end up failing. This was hard - much too hard for someone like her. Why couldn't it be easy? Why couldn't she just know what was required of her and take the route of least resistance by doing that?

The cool breeze, like the spring wind now long lost to autumn, blew once more across the platform. But, this time, something was different. Carried on the breeze was a sound that Fumika recognized immediately: a faint scuffling of wood on the pavement as a familiar figure crested the staircase and hobbled into sight. The raven-haired figure limped over to the bench where Fumika sat, raising a hand from one of her crutches to give the girl a slight wave.

"Mornin'," said Haruka, her tired voice still filled with its usual friendliness and cheer. Fumika's expression changed in a heartbeat, a joyous smile spreading across her melancholy face as she leaped to her feet, her suitcase clattering to the pavement as she rushed to her friend's side, wrapping her arms around her and clinging to her like she was afraid she'd fly away the moment she let her go. She felt Haruka's hand gently patting her on the head, and drew back to find the person she admired and respected most smiling down at her. "Easy there, Fumi. If you're not careful, you'll knock me over." Haruka warned. Fumika just hugged her more tightly, and Haruka laughed, shifting a little to accommodate her clingy friend as best she could.

Haruka gingerly seated herself on the bench, and Fumika followed suit, returning to her own place beside her. The dark-haired girl gave a wry smile, her golden eyes looking almost sad. "Sorry I was late," She apologized. "I promised I'd be here, but the walk here was a bit harder than I expected."

Fumika shook her head. "It's fine. I'm glad. Glad you came to see me off," She replied, giving a rare smile. The dark-haired girl gave a slight laugh and patted her on the head again, ruffling her hair affectionately.

"So, then, how are you feeling?" Haruka asked, grinning. "Ready to go out there, kick some ass, and save people in need?" Fumika lowered her gaze slightly, shaking her head in response. The truth was that she really didn't feel prepared at all, didn't feel at all like her usual self as an ambivalent observer. She gave a quiet whine, tugging her hair down over her ears uneasily, feeling its warm, soft fluffiness rubbing against her cheeks. While this did help her calm her anxiety to a certain degree, it was far from the consolation she needed. The feeling of her best friend pulling her into another hug, though, was a different story.

"I thought not," Haruka said with a wry smile, looking kindly down at her. "You're nervous, aren't you?" Fumika nodded, rubbing her face into the shoulder of Haruka's jacket. "Well, let me ask you this. What's there to be scared of? You've got an amazing Quirk, and you passed the entrance exam to one of the best Hero schools in the country, for crying out loud! As somebody who's fought against you before, I can safely say that you've got nothing to be afraid of. You can do anything if you put your mind to it, Fumi."

"That's not it," Fumika whispered, her words muffled by the cloth. "That's not it at all, Haruka."

"Eh? Then what's got you so worried?" Haruka asked, taken by surprise. Fumika looked up sadly, her blue eyes struggling hard against the urge to shed their tears.

"I want to be a Hero for you... but I don't want to leave you behind!" She hung her head again, her hands fidgeting as she tried to put her complex feelings into words. "Being a Hero is what you always wanted... it would make you happy... it would be the right thing to do. But if I go to Komei, things will go back to how they were before. I'll be all alone again... I'm not sure if I want that..." Haruka's eyes widened in surprise as she realized what exactly it was Fumika had said. Through all the years Haruka had known her, she'd said a great many things, and had always paid close attention to what Haruka had asked of her. But, during all that time, she'd almost never spoken of "wanting" or "not wanting" to do something. If she was told to do something, she did it, even if she didn't like it. Yet now, after all that had happened between the two of them, she was hesitating? No, perhaps it could be better said that she was hesitating precisely because of all that had happened between them.

"Let me ask you this. What is it that you want, Fumi?" Haruka already knew the answer when she asked the question, but she asked it anyway. Fumika didn't want to be alone, and probably never had wanted to be alone. She'd put up with it as long as she could, but when it had been too much to take, she'd always had Haruka there at her side. But, now... If she wanted to make something of herself instead of just following what orders she was given, she'd have to leave all of that behind. Haruka would have been lying if she said that she didn't want her to stay... but at the same time, wouldn't it be better for her in the long run if she didn't have to slow her pace for an invalid? She couldn't hide in Haruka's shadow forever. The dark-haired girl sighed sadly as she gazed down at her friend, trying desperately to read that look on her face, to make sure she wasn't lying in whatever choice she made. Put on the spot, Fumika hesitated. But, hearing the distant sound of a train - her train - approaching quickly, she realized that she would have to choose.

"I think... I think I want to be a Hero," She said at last.

"Then you have a goal. No matter what happens, don't give up on it, okay?" Fumika hesitated a moment at this, but at last nodded. Haruka moved to stand up, causing Fumika to hastily rise and offer her hand to help her. The train pulled into the station behind them, and, picking her luggage back up, Fumika turned to go. Haruka raised a hand, calling after her.

"Hey... don't worry so much about me, alright?" Fumika froze, turning to look at her in confusion. "I mean," She continued, shrugging as best she could without letting go of her crutches. "Just because we're not in the same town as each other anymore doesn't mean I'll forget all about you, right? I'll call you every night, so be sure to tell me how things go at Komei." She grinned, and Fumika gave a faint smile in return, nodding with a sudden enthusiasm she hadn't had a moment before. Because she knew now that she'd never truly be alone, right? She was so obvious... As always, no matter how much she tried to hide her feelings behind her poker face, Haruka could see right through her.

By the time I next see you face-to-face, I want to know exactly how it is you became such a great Hero, Fumi."

Fumika nodded once again, trying just as hard to keep smiling as she tried not to cry. Haruka smiled back, raising one hand from her crutch to give her friend one final wave.

"I'd rather not say 'goodbye,' so... until I see you again!"

"Until then, Haruka."

As the train doors closed, and with a loud whine, it began to shift, moving away from the town Fumika had always known as home, she found herself rushing to the window, feeling as though leaving now without taking some part of this moment with her would be tantamount to abandoning the home and the friend she'd so cherished. Sure enough, Haruka was still there, standing as tall as always, even though she had to lean on her crutches to do it. She was smiling as she kept waving, but Fumika could see something on her face that caught the light of the rising sun behind her. The entire station was bathed in the same warm orange glow, almost too bright to look at, but at the same time, so dazzling that she couldn't look away.

Fumika's eyes shifted to a bright wine red, taking in that wonderful instant that she made her first real choice, as well as that sad moment in which she left what was most important to her far, far behind. She could feel the energy coursing into her mind, solidifying that image before her mind's eye and preserving it forever. The bright sunrise, and the view of the town that day... The light filling the station, and the sight of Haruka, smiling through her tears as she waved goodbye...

Those cherished memories were the impetus for her to carry onward, and the tether that kept her from losing sight of what drove her. That single moment of that single day was what made Fumika decide firmly to become a Hero. And so, this memory, without a doubt, was her most precious of treasures.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Present Day

The past week hadn't been pleasant for Fumika.

She'd moved into the dorms very early, since she'd needed to buy a lot of things like small furniture once she'd actually arrived in Hosu. Although she'd been given an extensive allowance for these expenses by her parents, she'd ended up spending only the bare minimum of cash out of a sense of guilty. After all, it wasn't her money.

After spending the first two or so days furnishing her new room, however, she'd found herself with, quite simply, nothing to do. Haruka had told her to call and say how things were going at Komei, but nothing had really happened yet for her to talk about, so no matter how much she'd wanted - no, needed - to hear a friendly voice, she'd ended up lacking the courage to so much as pick up the phone. She'd gone over her textbooks for a little while, but it seemed a little excessive to memorize all of their contents before the semester even began. And, besides, that would just waste storage space she could be using to record interesting people and their Quirks! She was going to be fighting here, right? And against people as strong as Haruka, no less... she'd need every advantage she could get!

So, thinking these sorts of things, she'd ended up wandering around the town a bit, trying to map out new routes for free running so as not to get out of practice. Unfortunately, it seemed like Hosu had significantly more heroes than her hometown, and they didn't particularly like people jumping across rooftops in their patrol districts. She'd been stopped almost immediately by a burly man in a costume, and although he'd let her off easy when she'd explained that she was a Komei student, he'd still told her in no uncertain terms that she wasn't to do it again... How was she supposed to burn off all of her stress if she couldn't practice like Haruka had taught her to? She tugged on her hair, rubbing it against her cheeks for re-assurance as she took a deep breath.

...Speaking of stress, now that it was finally the first day of classes, everybody seemed really worked up about something. They were yelling and pounding on some kind of big gate, which wasn't budging an inch in response. Some of them kept checking phones or watches, too... Was there some kind of important thing she didn't know about? Fumika checked her own phone - not because she was particularly curious about the time, but because everyone else was doing it, so it seemed like she should, too.

8:14. No, 8:15. Class was in fifteen minutes, right? Well, whatever. That was enough time to get to where she needed to be. She'd seen a floor plan of the school once in the brochure they'd sent along with her acceptance letter, and a cursory glance at her syllabus was enough to tell her that her class was meeting in the assembly hall on the third floor, room 304. The map was still as fresh in her memory as ever, so it would be easy to make it up there before the first bell.

Oh. It opened. At some point while she'd been lost in her own thoughts, the giant gate must have been unsealed, since the crowd around her was suddenly gone, and all of them were running in a wild dash towards the main building. Fumika ambled casually up behind them, hopping up and down to try to catch a glimpse over the sea of heads in front of her. Her glasses nearly fell off for her efforts, but she managed to catch a glimpse of what looked like some big men blocking the door... She could wait, but it would probably be easier to just get there some other way. Everybody was all rushing into the other entrances, though...

Oh. That tree over in the courtyard over there was pretty. It was turning all red... She'd read in a book once that maple trees turned red like that. So did that mean it was a maple tree? Maple trees were sturdy, right? She'd never climbed one before, but she remembered someone saying they were tough, so it was probably alright if she did.

Fumika took a deep breath, pushed her glasses back up the bridge of her nose... and then took off, sprinting with astonishing speed towards the tree. The lowest branches were about ten feet off the ground... she'd need a leg up top reach them. As she ran, a green flash lit up her hair, and a circle wound its way around the crown of her head, accompanied by a rather prominent arrow marking in the left side of her bangs. About ten meters ahead of her, another Fumika appeared, kneeling and stretching out her hands. She was eight meters away now, then six, then four, then two, and then-

Fumika jumped into the air, not looking where she was going but rather keeping her eyes focused intently on her image on the ground below. Her doppelganger rose, catching her foot in mid-air. At that moment, she braced against her other self's hand, and leaped again, launching herself higher upward into the air. The green markings around the crown of her head disappeared immediately thereafter, and the copy she'd left behind followed suit.

Reaching out both hands, she caught hold of the lowest branch, using her forward momentum to swing upward and around it, then letting go like a gymnast, hurling herself upward and flipping head over heels. If she recalled correctly from her initial glance at the tree, there should have been a branch right about underneath her.

...Her feet touched down on wood, exactly as she'd remembered. Standing up slowly, she walked gingerly down the branch, spreading her arms like a child playing at being an airplane in order to ensure she wouldn't fall. The second floor window was just an arm's length away, but she couldn't quite reach it without stepping off the branch... Plus it was probably locked, anyway. Oh, but that latch on the inside looked just like the one at her old school! Well, in that case, it would be easy.

The green arrow appeared once more, accompanied by the circle, which receded slightly. Fumika shut her eyes as a green glow overtook their ordinary blue shade, changing their hue completely. Although she couldn't see the image in front of her acting out the memory, she remembered strolling home one day. Left foot first, then the right. The insubstantial copy of the young girl mimicked these remembered motions, walking straight off the branch, across thin air, and then right through the window. Fumika blinked, opening her eyes, and her image dropped immediately to the floor, where she remembered - and it re-enacted - her earlier landing upon the tree branch.

She'd turned around when the gate had opened. The image turned around in exactly the same way, looking back to face her with bright blue eyes. No... Your eyes are green now, remember? The image's green eyes met her gaze, and a matching symbol appeared in the other Fumika's hair to the one currently within her own. Much better.

Now, then, how had the shutters on those windows worked again? If she remembered correctly, first you tugged down on the little latch, then you slid a small bar back, and... Click.

She'd remembered correctly, of course. She always did. She gave a thumbs-up to her image, which nodded and pushed open the window, like she'd always done to let Haruka in when she was running late for class. How Haruka, the fastest person she'd ever met, had ever been late was a mystery to her... The teacher had always scolded her about it, too, so she'd sometimes created a fake Haruka to sit at Haruka's desk until the real one arrived, in order to fool the old gentleman. But then he'd called on her once before the real one arrived, so she'd had to make the fake stand up while she impersonated Haruka's voice from right behind the fake in order to answer the question... When Haruka had heard about it, she'd thought it was really funny. It had been hard, though... She wasn't very good at vocal impersonations. If only her replicas could make sounds, too...

She hopped gingerly from the branch and onto the windowsill, dropping from there down into the second floor corridor as her image, and the markings in her hair, disappeared once more. Two eyes opened, blue once more, and searched up and down the corridor.

...Where were the stairs again? She remembered the map, but she'd never seen this place physically before...

Let's see... if I jumped in from the courtyard window, then shouldn't I be... But where were the stairs, anyway?

Komei - Left Wing

Like some of the others, Kenichi considered this one of the most--possibly the most--important days of his life. A model student he was not, but a slacker even less so; he hadn't just gotten up early to get to the school, he had been up since 5 AM that morning just like he had ever since he had decided to seriously pursue Heroics. Every day he did fifty pushups, situps, squats, and jumping jacks. After that, a two mile run with one of those breathing masks. Shower, breakfast, dressed, out the door, on the train. He'd been here since 7:30 this morning, tapping one foot and trying to keep his breathing shallow so he wouldn't ruffle anyone around him.

The crowd got more desperate as the clock ticked on, and when the doors finally opened it was like a flood breaking through a dam. Kenichi pushed his way through like everyone else, but given that he was probably one of the shortest ones there--at least among the boys--he had to struggle to keep from getting pushed around himself. He could have used his Quirk, he supposed, but that would be a bit much; he didn't want to start anything or hurt someone on the first day, no matter how peeved he was at the moment...right?

The front doors were blocked. The crowd surged this way and that, and a vein pulsed in Kenichi's forehead as he struggled to get himself out of the throng without bowling anyone over. This was Hero school, he couldn't keep the same delinquent attitude he'd had at his last school, right--?

He wasn't even sure where he was now, because there were so many goddamned people and they wouldn't stop friggin' pushing--

"ALRIGHT ALREADY!"

He sucked a sharp breath in through his nose, and several students around the smaller boy felt as if their clothes and hair were being pulled towards him. Belying his size, he roughed his way through the crowd like they were ragdolls, forcing his way to the front.

They were at the left-wing entrance of Komei Academy.

The rookie Assistant Teacher Isshin stood in the middle of the hallway, adjusting his glasses and smiling like some kind of villain. He faced the student's direction as they were making their way towards him and briefly glanced at his watch.

"Oh my, Look at the time. It is 8:20, you kids better rush to class before you are marked absent. Chop Chop!" He clapped his hands twice. " Komei Academy has implemented a new zero tolerance policy on absences. Let's see, if I recall correctly... anyone who is marked absent will be expelled from the Academy! Better hurry!"

He moved aside, revealing that almost a dozen more of himself had gathered to block their way. Kenichi's eyes narrowed. They'd already done the entrance exam; a practical, a written test, student interviews...What was this bullcrap!?

"Alright teach--just don't blame me if you get hurt." The short, younger boy growled. He crouched closer to the floor, a runner's three point stance...except, somehow, it seemed more accurate to call it a wild beast poised for the hunt.

Kenichi opened his mouth and breathed in deeply.

With a sound like a jet engine, a vacuum began to draw air in from all around him. Loose clothing, hair, even the cards on the table way down at the end of the hallway began to flutter. Some students covered their ears with a wince as the sudden drop in pressure caused their eardrums to pop. Kenichi drew it all down into his lungs, more than even a scuba diver's tank could hold. He closed his mouth...then grinned, wide enough to show off his canines.

A duplication Quirk...but it doesn't matter how many of him there are if his physical abilities aren't enhanced at all!

His skin flushed all over his body, especially along his forearms and neck where the veins could be seen pulsing bright red. A single bead of sweat broke out on his forehead.

"JET...HUNTING!"

It started as a dash, a straight run, but all the clones were right there in front of him. Even if he were stronger than they were, he was lighter than even one of them, and all they'd have to do would be to make themselves a wall--Then he suddenly shot up, hitting the ceiling just before the lights. Like a pinball he bounced off that, hit the tile again to duck under the extended paint roller, then up along the section of wall that wasn't being painted to get around the ladder under the lights. Back to the ceiling over the napper, then down like a lightning bolt on the top of the card table--then, straight as a gunshot, the cards still flipping through the air around him, he was through the door and into the hallways beyond. It was roughly a hundred meters, and it had taken Kenichi all of about three seconds.

"Ha!" he yelled as he stood upright, bouncing on the balls of his feet to bleed off the extra momentum. He waved at Isshin-sensei with a smirk. "Got that idea from an old Gran Torino vid!" He took off at a run--this time only slightly faster than an average human--and soon reached his classroom. As he entered--slamming the door open perhaps a bit too loudly, his eyes had that "hell yeah" look, and he proudly exhaled through his nose...although it had enough force behind it to cause his clothes and hair to ruffle like some kind of dramatic movie.

A white El Camino with blue racing stripes going up the middle pulled up to the Academy gates. Seth looked at the gates as they opened and sighed. His father placed a hand on his shoulder and asked, “You alright?”

“Yeah, just a bit nervous is all” Seth said with a weak smile.

“You’ll be fine as long as you listen to the instructors,” Seth’s dad reassured him. Seth took another deep breath before he opened the door and moved to the back of the bed of the car and took out a few bags he had brought with him. The others had most likely gotten to where ever he was staying. These bags had what he felt the most important items inside them. He looked towards the school before heading towards the gates. He turned to his dad who waved at him. Seth waved back before he set off into the gates.

The place was in disarray. Many students scrabbled to get inside the school so they wouldn’t be late. Seth checked his watch and cursed; “Shit!” he ran towards the right wing and was greeted by a woman who looked like a nurse.

"Students! Do you have time for a small check up? I do like to keep my medical records up to date after all...I believe most of you require a blood test." She said as she tapped her needle. There was a horrible sense of dread coming from her, but Seth didn’t pay any attention to it. He was stuck in place as he stared at the needle. He hated needles, had a phobia of them. However, if the school needed to take blood, he thought it might be to help the students in the long run.

He walked up towards the right wing entrance to see a girl already offering the nurse her arm. Suddenly there was a bright light and Seth winced as she shielded his eyes. It was then he realized what this was. This must be a test Seth thought. When the light blinding him dissipated he bolted for the entrance where the nurse was

“I’m sorry ma’am, but I can’t stop for blood work. Maybe later,” Seth said. He knew she would have other needles and utensils to try and get his blood. While he ran, silver liquid began to seep from his skin and coat his body under his clothing. The silver liquid hardened like armor as he ran towards the nurse and the entrance.

ACION

I guess these wings do have its merits after all…’

He did remember that line. The line that he uttered all by himself years ago. It was a line chosen by the Gods to guide him out of his darkest juncture. Indeed it was masterful, having to see the quirky wings of a man who was once considered a disappointment to everybody, shine with its glory and usefulness.

"Oh dear, I'm gonna be late!"

Or nearly so...

He was still working on it.

"I guess there should be no reason not to use it"

Acion slowly opened his 6 wings, which was all wrapped around his body to save spaces, until they were completely wide apart, stretching nearly two meters in length on both sides. As he continue to run, the wings began to flap, fiercely yet beautifully. Eventually, Acion could no longer feel the weight of the concrete below him, as he was carried away into the sky.

Yes, you did not hear it wrong. Six wings. Acion was no means angelic like, nor did he looked like any sort of typical hero that people would imagine. They proved to do more harms than goods, as moving in tight spot was difficult. In addition, Acion could not fly until he was nine, a very late age for a winged quirk, although he could blame on the quirky wing displacement. A once reowned disappointment to everybody, yet his parents refused to believe that. They believed that their son, despite how awkward he might be, could still reach to their level, even beyond. In fear that Acion might be influenced by the narrow-minded vision of their peers and his peers, his father had injected the young boy with an ideology of his own, totally independent from the others, an iron will, and a mighty determination. That, combining with his mother's practical knowledge at many fields that were not covered in normal school and a mighty warrior was born.

Of course, that could be said philosophically. In reality, a balance in willpower and strength was necessary, and that was what he had been working towards. He had yet to reach that level, but never again people would call him disappointing, after everything he had done.

Acion looked back to his position. He was now a few hundred meters in the sky. The view above was so beautiful, yet Acion was more focused in looking out for the silhouette of his academy. It was a large one, so he definitely could not miss it.

A few seconds later, his eyes were locked into a vast pile of land. And then he began his dive. His altitude quickly plummet, his wings clipped, as he was literally free-falling. It was only when he was only a few dozens meters away from the ground did he stretched out the wing widely to prevent him from a painful, squishy death. It was all calculated of course, as the air resistance stopped him only a few meters above the ground. His vector sharply turned to a horizontal one, as Acion flew down the street, pass the block at a speed of a train at full speed. Soon, the academy's gate was in sight.

He caught sight of hundreds of students being 'traffic-jammed' at the gate, for the gate was too small to accommodate everybody.

"Well, I guess you don't need this now."

He put away his ID card as he continue to fly at low altitude. He originally intended to stop right at the gate to use his ID on the terminal, like how it was done. But here the situation was pretty much a total anarchy, and the area around the gate was packed, so it could not automatically close. So there was no point in using it

For a moment it might seem impossible to enter the area with that congestion going on. But for Acion, he already found his answer to that: flying straight in. The gate had considerable height, and Acion utilized it effectively.

Now that he had passed through, he began decelerating, stopping right at the entrance to the main block. But before making his entrance into it, he was then blocked by a huge, menacing man in black sunglasses.

"Sorry, but we were ordered not to allow any students in this way! The ground floor area of this building is blocked off to students until further notice! You must take either the left or the right one."

Oh come on!

He had no time for this!

Acion tried to fly up, but as he found out that the windows and roofs were all blocked, he knew that he could not pass through that. So his only choice right now was to pass through the right or the left wing. After a brief second of consideration, he chose the right one.

Right wing

What the hell is this?

In front of him, along with a few dozen students, was a young pretty woman with...a syringe. And not some normal one, a GIANT one. She was projecting some kind of auras that for some reasons stopped the students behind him from making an advance.

'Hmmph. Weaklings...'

As opposed to the student's reaction, Acion merely moved forward casually, as he gazed into the eyes of the young nurse.

"I'm sorry, but I do not have the time or purpose for a check-up."

With that, he passed on. Now only one obstacle remained, and that was distance. He was still a mile away from his class room. After quick observation, he realized that if he had taken the left wing, it would have been faster. He had no time to curse himself for this, as he was only five minutes away from being late, and risk being expelled right on first day.

'Oh well...'

Here goes nothing.

Acion extended his six wings once again, but this time, due to the enclosed space, he did not open it as widely as he wanted. He was literally flying in the hall. It did not give him much speed, but now, the more the better.

He took a left turn to enter the adjacent hall, flew down that hall before making another turn to the hall that his classroom was placed in. Despite the narrow hall, he was able to maintain flight quite impressively, as he was not using his upper wings and instead used the middle and bottom wings for it. Such versatility is crucial in this kind of situation.

His legs then touched the floor, as soon as he caught sight of his classroom door. He turned around his horizontal axis, so that he was standing straight, his legs applying friction to the floor. His wings then extended widely again, taking advantage of aerodynamic resistance to slow him down. His calculation was pretty precise, however, he did have to use the door to completely stop himself. It slided open as it contributed to his deceleration, and as soon as Acion regained his composure, he casually walked in, his wings slowly wrapped around him.

It was 0826.

Just in time.

Reina Mori

Waiting with the gathered crowd which grew more and more impatient with each passing minute, Reina kept her head down glancing at all the interesting people for only a moment at a time. The knot in the girl's stomach, that had been there since last night, exploded as the crowd began to grow even rowdier. It took all she had to try and keep her quick as nullified as possible, though she knew her anxieties were causing her to involuntarily push everything around her away lightly every now and again, before she got it back under control.

Satisfied her quirk was zeroed out, she finally took the time to look up to see what had gotten the crowd even more worked up. Ah, the gates had finally opened. Reina found herself being swept along with the group, which didn't help her mood very much, but there was nothing she could do about it without coming off as a huge jerk. Accepting her fate, she waited until she finally got to the gate, and scanned her ID. The she was still closely surrounded by many people, it was nowhere near as bad as the bottleneck created by the gate, allowing her to finally relax her tense body if only slightly.

She eyed the guards with a frown as she decided to head with the flow of students going to the school's left wing entrance. As she half-jogged to keep up, her gaze moved to a female student who had made it up into a tree. Reina stared in curiosity as she watched the girl use her quirk to open a second-floor window and slip inside from one of the tree's branches. It was as impressive as it was interesting.

Reina's eyes shifted to one of the orbs that floated around her, frowning at it. If only she could replicate what she had done a month ago, she'd be able to enter the same window that the girl had unlocked. The short-haired girl bit her lip in a measure of frustration, cursing her complete lack of mastery over her quirk. She had to learn how to use it as soon as she could. It was the only reason she had gotten into this school to begin with.

"Oh my, Look at the time. It is 8:20, you kids better rush to class before you are marked absent. Chop Chop!"

The voice brought her attention back to her surroundings, now inside the school. The young man who had spoken--likely a teacher--continued, reminding them that being late meant being expelled. It was a little extreme and silly, the whole test they were being put through on the first day, Reina thought, but she was in no position to argue. She just had to get through it and make it to tomorrow.

Strange that this test involved... a minefield of the young teachers clones? The original seemed quite proud of himself, too. This wouldn't stop a quirkless person if they even had any determination to get through, let alone the future pro heroes that the obstacle was apparently meant for.

Reina glanced at a rather short boy who was the first to reply to the teacher. He sounded confident enough. And ready to try something, judging by the stance he had taken.

As expected, he showed off his quirk a moment later, earning a grimace from the girl at both the sudden loud noise caused by his breathing and the pop of both her ears.

"JET...HUNTING!"

Loud.

Reina frowned, not hiding her annoyance very well as she watched the boy take off. She swallowed a few times, trying to unpop her ears, growing more and more aggravated as this morning went on. The boy's quirk was certainly impressive, and coupled with his strong personality showed the girl that he belonged at an academy like this.

But that respect for him didn't stop her from finding him at least a little grating. It wasn't his fault, really. It was everything that had happened: the worry of being late all morning, being stuck in a crowd and pushed around, all her insecurities and anxieties... the ear popping was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

Enough. She didn't think she deserved to be here--but this 'test' was almost insulting.

The girl stuffed her hands into her pockets and activated her quirk to repel--any students gathered near her would immediately feel it pushing them away from her. As she began walking briskly forward, she turned up the effect, to make sure none of the teacher's clones could approach her without a struggle. The table skidded across the floor, eventually toppling over as she approached it, and paint cans spilled over. She glanced to the original teacher with a frown, still feeling guilt for making an even bigger mess of the hall despite her annoyance.

"S-sorry..." she managed, quickly looking away and increasing her pace to get away from any lingering gazes.

Climbing the first set of stairs she found, Reina finally began to think about finding her way around. While it wouldn't be a big deal in any other situation, the fact that her school life was on the line made the normal stress of learning the layout of a new school much worse. She knew her class was somewhere on the third floor, at least.

As she turned to climb the next set of stairs, she looked around down the halls idly. She paused, noticing a figure in the distance, obscured through two sets of doors. Recognizing the pale-blonde hair, she realized it was the girl from before, who had entered the building through a window.

Without thinking too much about how close she'd be cutting it with how little time was left, Reina made her way through the first set of doors, and stood inside the second, holding it open.

"Hey... um, you trying to get to class?" she called to the girl, immediately cringing internally at the dumb question. Of course she was trying to get to class, literally every student in the school was trying to get to class right now. Stupid.

Avoiding eye contact in an attempt to stifle the mild embarrassment she felt, Reina motioned with her head towards the way she had come, indicating that's where they needed to go if they wanted to avoid expulsion on their first day.

With a zap like a static shock, a single tuft of blonde hair shot bolt upright, blinking like a dying lightbulb as the person to whose head this rather silly-looking tuft of fluff was attached froze in place, then slowly turned around to face the source of the voice which had addressed her. A dark-haired girl was standing in the doorway, and there were some kind of floating ball things hovering lazily around her, but more importantly-

Oh. That's where the stairs are. Behind that door... which is behind another door. Why are there two doors there, anyway? Normally they only put two sets of doors next to exits. Why do they do that, anyway? Maybe because it helps keep the cold out in the winter, because it has to go through two doors instead of one... But then why don't they do the same thing with windows? ...No, wait, don't most windows have layers? But I thought that was for durability... Wait, what was window glass called again? I think the right word was 'pane...'

She blinked. The girl was still standing there, looking kind of awkwardly off to one side. Was there something there? Fumika turned her head to follow the girl's gaze. It just looked like there was a wall there, to her... Unless this girl could see through walls? Come to think of it, that would make a lot of sense! She'd seen Fumika through two doors, right? ...But wait, then what were those floating black things supposed to be? Her eyes flashed red for a moment as a large dot of a matching hue appeared in her hair, accompanied by a crimson bar around the crown of her head. One of her braids twisted slightly, floating into the air and coming ever-so-slightly unwound at its tip, seemingly of its own accord. The tuft of hair at the end fluffed up quite abruptly, and a static crackle once more ran down the length of each strand before Fumika blinked, and suddenly, her eyes switched back to blue, the dot and bar in her hair disappeared, and her hair once more swished back down behind her like the tail of an excited puppy. What curious little things those were... Apparently they were really there, but she'd never encountered such a weird material before in any of her other recordings. She had half a mind to try making some for herself, but decided against it, since it would probably use up too much of her charge, and she needed to save what power she had left for class.

...Oh right, speaking of class, hadn't the girl said something about that? Fumika was pretty sure she'd asked a question... about thirty seconds ago. What had she said again? Something about whether or not she was trying to get to class... She was, of course, but she needed to find the stairs. Which were right there. Oh, right, class was in only a couple more minutes now, right? If the stairs were here, she should have been right below the classroom, but she couldn't really afford to delay any longer...

So, after a lengthy period of deliberation in stonefaced, utterly stoic silence, Fumika nodded with a wordless "Mhm," and then briskly walked through the door the girl had been rather awkwardly holding open for her. But, as if thinking of something quite suddenly, Fumika stopped two steps up the stairs, turned around, and then... bowed?

"Thank you for the stairs," She said, and then went on her way.

Sen Kimoto

8:15

A quiet young man sauntered behind the main rush of students barging their way through the main entrance of the famed Komei Academy. Pale yellow eyes flicked about the scene before him. Kids attempting to rush past the security guards, others choosing the side entrances, one girl went as far as to scale a tree, it was utter anarchy. Sen kept his casual pace, knowing fourteen minutes was more than enough time to get to class. Instead of trying to push his way past the guards, he decided the left wing might be more tasteful. The yellow eyed boy entered the hallway with his hands firmly set in his pockets, the mechanisms that filtered out his poisonous breath whirring inside his modified gas mask. He arrived just in time for his hair and jacket to be blown by a strong gust of wind. A boy seemed to have some sort of speed enhancing quirk and he managed to pull off quite the flashy display to get past the teacher guarding the way.

Sen couldn't help but chuckle at the boy as he yelled some sort of mantra before pulling off the display. He couldn't deny it, the boy had moxie for sure. Energy radiated off his classmate as he shot past the teacher and celebrated with a small dance. Sen of course continued down the hall, seemingly unphased. The only time he drew his hands from his pockets was to lower his gas mask to hang around his neck as he approached Isshin's clones. Slowly a yellow gas began to slip from Sen's nose and mouth as the boy took great gulps of air, he always felt refreshed when he got to take his mask off. Any clones that got close enough to the gas would probably start to feel lethargic to down right stuck in place, using this advantage, Sen slipped past those who stood in his way, though he hoped the other students had enough sense to steer clear of his paralyzing breath.

Once he was safely past Isshin, he pulled out the map he printed of the school. He had memorized the map but even he sometimes made mistakes and it would be awkward if he sat in another class while he was getting marked tardy in his actual class. Having found classroom 1-A, Sen entered normally and without the suave the earlier students had, though he had this relaxed confidence about him. It seemed as if he was right at home, after all, he would do anything to make it to the top. As he eyed all the students that had arrived before him, a determined from showed under his mask, not that anyone could see it. What they could see was him nod his head slightly and throw up two fingers in a peace symbol quickly, the regal looking gold ring on his index finger glinting in the sunlight crawling through the windows. Sen sat down in the back corner of the room, by the window, he always appreciated a nice view.

Ezra

Ezra had made all the preparations that he needed for school. Living on his own had proved to be a challenge of its own, and this showed as Ezra had spent an entire morning searching for appropriate footwear. He was annoyed that he couldn't wear his favourite sneakers but he remember that his parents had told him that if he got expelled for something as stupid as uniform, then they'd beat him so bad that he'd turn blue. Not wishing to incur his mothers wrath, he had searched extra hard and found them, at the expense of being 30 minutes later than he had intended to get there.

Once he had arrived, everything had become clear to him. This place was an absolute clusterfuck of people and he needed to find a way to get inside, whatever that may be. He would normally have no qualms with using his quirk, but given that he had not eaten breakfast, he did not wish to expend the little amount of energy he had just getting through the front gate. There was a lot of people, but given there was very few people of his build there, it made muscling through the crowd extremely easy as he used his arm as a barrier to barge through. He didn't feel the need to apologise to any who had been barged past, as they were late as he scanned his card and walked through the front entrance.

Looking down at his wristwatch after making it through the gate, he noted the time. He did not anticipate that he'd have 10 minutes to navigate an entire school block and get to his classroom, and not ready to face the consequences, Ezra decided that expending the energy that he had was of little consequence if he didn't even get to go to the school. Seeing the security guarding the main entrance pissed him off a bit, but he figured that it was just part of the process and that he couldn't really do much to change it. He figured that getting mad and trying to fight them was nonsensical, a waste of time and disturbing people who were just doing a job that they were paid to do.

Seeing the nurse with the needle didn't really activate much fear in Ezra, but seeing the students shaking in fear did. He couldn't understand why the people who were literally going to be taking a professional hero course were afraid of a needle. It made slightly angry, but something caught his eye as he busted straight through the crowd taking large strides to cover the maximum amount of distance. He noted a rust haired boy at least a foot shorter than him who didn't seem to be scared in the slightest asking the nurse a question. This struck a cord with him, and whilst he wasn't normally one to make friends easy, he saw no issue in helping a classmate out. He figured that helping this kid out might come back to assist him in the future.

"Come on, bro. You just gotta trust your intuition here, we got 5 minutes before we're late." Ezra spoke as he jogged on the spot waiting for his potential accomplice to come with him. His voice was hurried and raspy due to the lack of hydration.

Jett Haven

Jett let out a sigh as he rounded the corner to find a bunch of students all crowded at the front gate of the academy. Glancing down at his watch, which showed 8:14. He looked up from his watch and shoved his hands into his pant's pockets. His left eyebrow popped up as a look of confusion came onto his face. Did they all get the time wrong? Was this a test? Did he remember to let the dog out?

He glanced back to where he came from, his eyes darted back and forth as he went through his actions of that morning. Before he could finish the thought he heard the clamoring of his fellow students grow more intense. Turning back around he saw the gate was now open and everyone was stuck in the bottleneck.

"Great..." He whispered as he realized that by the time he got through he could be late. He clicked his tongue a couple times as he looked around, noticing that the wall that surrounded the grounds wasn't too tall. He also noted how close the pillars were together before narrowing his eyes.

"Hmmmm..." He looked at the crowd, then at the wall, then back to the crowd. "I can make that..." he said to himself as he took two steps backward and turned to begin running in a small semi circle and coming at a more acute angle at the closest pillar. He jumped up, extended his left foot and planted it squarely on it, then promptly pushing up and backward and spinning just slightly enough to extend his his right foot and plant it on the next pillar. He then again pushed up and backwards while extending his hand up to grab the top of the wall and guide himself to kick both feet up just high enough to clear the wall and gracefully land on his feet on the other side.

Pausing for a moment to glance around and straighten his uniform's jacket with a quick tug. He then moved towards the main entrance, only to see and hear the security guards, yell that they can't enter through there. Though a few tried and failed...except one girl, who took a full blow from the head honcho, but it seemed like she didn't even notice. "Dammmmn..." He said softly as he watched as students scrambled to the left or right wing to use the auxiliary entrance's to the second floor.

He looked back at the main entrance and cocked his head to the side, looking passed the three guards and after a brief thought. He shook his head. "Nahh...Too easy..." If this was supposed to be a challenge to use your quirk... he wasn't going to do it. His father always taught him not to rely so much on his quirk.

As he was thinking about that he glanced up as he saw movement in a maple tree nearby, just catching a glimpse of a blonde girl jumping from the branch onto the windowsill and into the second floor. He waited a moment, only to smile when the girl left it open. It was just as easy... but what the hell. "Well thank you!" He said as he sprinted to the tree and ran up the trunk with three steps before leaping onto the the branch and pulling himself up with ease. He got to his feet and as nimble as a cat, made his way to the window and dove through it. He used his hands to push off the ledge to give his body that added moment to fully rotate back upright and land on his feet.

He looked around while giving his jacket a swift tug once again to notice the blonde girl from before....bowing? To another girl with some orbs floating around her. Odd. He shrugged it off and made his way towards them and raised his hand, just as the blonde girl turned to leave. "HEY! Hold the door for a moment please!" He said with a big smile as his walk turned to a jog.

Toni Sparks

8:15am

Tapping of her heel, glancing at her watch. The crowd thronging and even then security was being a roadblock. The clock running in her head as the crowd scattered like roaches when the light turned on, swarming over the school looking for a way in. Putting her earbuds in, music blasted in her ears with the rest of the world only hearing a buzz, and flicking her star-shades down off her head Toni joined the swarm heading to the right laughing all the while.

The brief flash of light shot from the corridor before Toni entered lit up her silhouette to those behind her, as if a rock star about to go on stage. Running through the horror set that made up the corridor, Toni saw the the swivel chair just sitting in the middle of the hall. Suddenly as if being pulled towards the far wall Toni landed on the swivel chair and began riding it, wheels shaking with the speed that far exceeded her running speed from before. The swivel chair living up to its name had Toni spinning like a small tornado, whipping past the nurse with a vague apologetic sound being ripped from her throat left in her wake.

"Sorry! I promise I'll return this if I remember to return it~!" Laughing like a kid on a roller coaster Toni was having a hard time going in a straight line. Finally resting her feet on the swivel chair's legs, Toni stopped spinning and faced the wall, the flight path of the chair straightening as well, even picking up speed. As Toni looked as if she was going to slam into the wall, the swivel chair turned the corner seemingly of its own volition.

"Whooo~!" nearing the bottom of the stairs, Toni leaped out of the chair and up the stairs as it crashes into the base. Legs a little shaky from the spin cycle she put herself through Toni's 'leap' turned into a 'stagger'. Looking kinda woozy when she reached the top of the stairs. Taking a moment to let the world settle down around her, Toni all but strutted to the classroom and when she she saw a few classmates milling about she slipped on in.

"Excuse me please, a Star has arrived! Class is almost in session guys, can't be late." putting the star-shades on her head once more and her personal sound track cut out as she pulled the ear buds from her ear, giving the group a wink and a grin that just couldn't contain itself.

ACION

The run was significant, showing how much he had improved after the last time he took flight in such a enclosed space packed with peopl. It was already a few years ago, and he still regret knocking over several students in the process, but it went a lot smoother than he expected. That was great improvement.

Holding that proud aura within him, he casually walked into the classroom, as he releases all the tension that had been packing up because of the test that he was totally unexpecting. Just calm down. He had passed it now.

He placed the bag that he was holding on with his hand for the rest of the flight, on one of the tables near the front, next to the window, and sat down. For the first time ever, he was able to have a look at his classmates, those who had arrived before him. There were interesting faces indeed. He glanced across the room, noticing...a transparent-looking boy at the back of the classroom. Hmm...He looked peculiar, his mere existence may be something currently beyond his power to understand. And then there's the boy with dark blue hair, he looked strong. Maybe he would provide Acion a great challenge to test his willpower.

And...the big guy next to him. A fairly round guy, if not saying fat, with a pair of glasses, his hands moving up and down, picking up crisps and placing it into his mouth. Acion found himself looking at him the most. It's not that he was hungry and wanted a bit of it, but it was his body that he found himself curious. His form was probably the least intimidating around here. He was rather large, and as he knew it, largeness would be more than an Achilles heel in some situation, like how Acion's wings used to be, until he found a way to utilize it to minimize its bulkiness. And yet he found himself in this precious academy. Perhaps he was able to negate that disadvantage, or there was something more to that. Whatever the case, Acion hoped that beneath that body of his, was a heart of a warrior.

He watched as the guy finished his snacks, to every last pieces, and then...

'What the...'

He began eating the bag.

'Ok...'

Acion looked with awkwardness, as he noticed that the guy wasn't even paying attention to what he was doing. Was he sub-consciously doing it? In any cases, he would have to see to that, otherwise he might be stuck in a not so pleasant situation

"Hey. Is everything alright?"

If the nurse used a needle or other sharp object to get at his blood, he didn’t pay attention to it. He had a phobia of needles and as he got closer to the nurse. He closed his eyes, put his head down, and sprinted faster until he heard the floor of the hallway under his feet. He opened his eyes and saw he was inside the long hallway behind the nurse. He started to slow down to a trot as he let out a sigh.

“One obstacle down, about a million to go,” Seth said to himself as he proceeded to his class. He then realized what time it was thanks to a clock on the wall and cursed, “Shit! I’m going to be late!” he started to sprint again. He pushed himself to the point his legs felt like they were going to fall off. The burning sensation in his legs made him wince as he felt the cramps start. When he got to the stairs he took them three at a time before he made it to the right floor.

Seth saw the door to his class and quickly used one more spurt of adrenaline to get him through the thresh hold. He ran into the class and put on the brakes. His new sneakers made him slide on the floor for a few feet before he came to a stop. He stood like a statue; a metal statue since he had forgotten he still had metal on his body. He quickly looked up at the clock on the wall.

8:29

“Oh thank god,” Seth said with a metallic twang in his voice. That made him realize he had left the metal on his body. He looked at his arm and said, “Whoops, forgot I had you on” the metal liquefied and seeped back into his body. The duffle bag he had been holding slipped from his shoulder and hit the floor as metal tools clanged inside. The sound made him jump and when he found the source he laughed at himself, “probably should have left some of you at home.” He then picked up his bag and found a vacant seat.

Komei - Classroom

@Silver Carrot@Ryteb Pymeroce@Lucius Cypher@Feyblue - Kenichi observes.
@Conscripts@TerraGCopper - Kenichi meets Acion's eyes and has similar thoughts. Kenichi returns Flora's wave and smiles.
@PsychoPanda28 - Kenichi interacts directly.

Kenichi hadn't been the first in the classroom, but he was part of the first wave from the looks of it. As he stepped out of the doorway for people coming from behind him, he found an unoccupied space and stood there for a moment, just taking in everything. A tiny blonde girl with twin tails, who didn't seem to have any outward indicators of her Quirk, was the first he saw. But she had gotten here before him, which probably meant that she had a strong Quirk, or else had a good mastery of her powers. Or maybe the other teachers were easier to get past than Isshin had been. A girl in glasses, this one with pink hair, looked to be catching her breath near the teacher's desk--she also had a shield on one arm. Kenichi was pretty sure the costumes and equipment either hadn't come in yet or was being stored somewhere inside the school, so unless she had brought it with her from home for some reason...could that be her Quirk? A creation type of some sort?

There was a third girl, also with glasses and also blonde but with much longer hair, so long as to seem impractical. She was near one of the windows, which had somehow been opened...but they weren't supposed to do that from the outside, or else all the leapers and flyers would have of course headed for them first. Telekinesis, to undo the latch? Teleportation? Hm, that one was a mystery...Also, Kenichi couldn't help but get a little irked that three girls had gotten here ahead of him. Call him sexist if you wanted, but he had his pride dammit. At least there was one other guy here--no, wait, there were two.

Kenichi had almost missed one of them, because he was nearly transparent. That was the weirdest Mutation Quirk Kenichi thought he'd ever seen--if it were a Transform type, letting the user become invisible or phase through stuff, the kid wouldn't be able to keep it on constantly unless he had monstrous stamina. But if he'd been born like that...did he just float out of the womb? Kenichi shook his head to push weird thoughts like that away, and instead focused on the fact that the ghost boy was reading a book that had a title written in English. After that Kenichi noticed that his facial features weren't Japanese...a foreigner? Huh.

The second guy had a portly build, and snacked nonchalantly on a bag of chips. A big guy like that, if he had a quirk that could toughen or speed him up, would have been able to get past the clones, maybe even the security guys, pretty easy. But being big didn't always mean being strong, especially when it came to fat and height versus muscle. Kenichi really hoped this guy wasn't just a lardo who got lucky--someone who didn't train themselves outdoing him would have made him angrier than being outdone by the girls.

While Kenichi had been taking in everyone else, there were a few new arrivals. Another girl--or at least he thought it was a girl by the voice, because their actual body seemed to be made of plant matter. She sat down and waved at everyone else she saw--Kenichi returned the gesture with a small smile--and seemed to be eager to go. Another guy came through next, barely making it through the door with those six giant freakin' wings growing out of him. The guy had a posture and an expression that said he thought he was confident and strong. Like Kenichi he took a moment to look around the classroom--when their gazes met, Kenichi felt that same kind of inkling. Is this guy strong? Will he be able to compete with me? Kenichi returned the acknowledgement with a wild grin.

A sort of gloomy-looking girl entered and talked to the girl with long blonde hair. Kenichi thought she had come from behind him, so had she gotten past Isshin too? He wondered if she had seen him use his awesome move--

MY FRIGGIN' NOOOOOOOSE!

Kenichi suddenly clapped his hand over his mouth and nose as another young man came up from the left wing. The guy was wearing a gas mask, so whatever his quirk was it seemed to be contained. But he had used it, recently, and there were just ever so few traces of it in the air around him and on his clothes. But the fact that Kenichi's quirk meant his breathing was deeper than likely anyone else's in the room meant that he absorbed more air, and thus even those traces--little as they were--would have an effect if they were all sucked into the same pair of lungs. His nose and the back of his throat were already tingling, not quite numb but definitely in that phase between a limb being "asleep" and full function. Some kind of paralyzing agent?

The guy in the mask was heading towards the back of the room, near the windows...and it was here that Kenichi realized the true danger he was in from this boy.

"Oi, oi oi oi!"

The blue-hair actually vaulted over some of the other desks as he ran across the room. The gas-mask kid was already sitting down...but he could still make it!

As Sen Kimoto sat down in the back row, in the corner next to the window, Kenichi practically crashed into the seat right in front of him. Second row from the back, the column closest to the window--a seat that would have one person behind it, several people in front of it, and people to one side. A seat that would have a view of the school grounds and the sky, perfect for daydreaming. A seat marked by legend.

"THE MAIN CHARACTER SEAT IS MINE!" Kenichi crowed triumphantly, though his voice was slightly nasal thanks to the numbness in his nose. He turned in the chair to grin at Sen. "Yo, I'm Yoshida Kenichi!" Then, with a wrinkling of his nose, he got a little more serious. "Sorry dude, but do you mind if I ask about uh...whatever it is your Quirk puts out? See, my Quirk makes my respa...my restive...my respiratory, yeah that's the word, my respiratory system is sensitive. I got a whiff of that stuff off you, and I just wanna be sure it ain't gonna kill me or--hold up--"

It was a good thing the windows did open up from the inside, as Kenichi now flung one open just in time to put his head out into the open air and sneeze.

"AUUGH-CHOOO!"

It was like one of those air-cannon toys for kids, except multiplied enough to knock someone off their feet. If he hadn't released it outside--where it had blasted some leaves off a tree branch--it might have made a real mess. But now whatever it was in his system had been expelled, and Kenichi rubbed the bridge of his nose for a minute until he had feeling in it again.

"Uh, sorry bout that." he said, not just to Sen but just kind of in-general.

The large man, probably about six, seven feet tall approached from the crowd in a rather casual fashion. Lysander was initially thrown off by his gargantuan figure but swiftly fell back into his laid-back attitude. Being around others always seem to make things easier for him and someone this big meant that all eyed should be on the two of them, and with all eyes on them it meant that they were in the spotlight. Lysander took the time to woo the crowd a little, putting his hand on the large man's back and thanking him in a well rehearsed tone. ”Intuition is a fickle mistress, mine often leads me to strange places but with brave men like you out there... Being lost doesn't seem so bad.” He even let out a fake laugh at the end and hurriedly left the scene, nodding to the nurse as they went for the stairs.

Once the duo reached them and left the view of everyone else, the fake face fell off, his whole demeanor going back to it’s casual relaxed state. ”Sorry about that fake-ness back there... I’m trying to make a name for myself. I’m Lysander, I think I might have gotten stuck to your uniform back there but I can stitch it up for you later! If I did tear it, there are a few of you giants out there, especially none brave enough to face the scariest of challenges yet. A needle.” He rambled. His mind was all over the place from the rush of everyone seeing him still making his heart beat fast. Not from nervousness, but from the level of utter joy he got from causing even the smallest of scenes and he knew it wouldn’t have happened without the help of this newfound gigantic man.

He wanted to immediately go to the room, but he had eight or so minutes to get to the room and he really wanted to see what the nurse had planned beyond standing in a hallway with a needle. He got a brochure that told him all about the staff after he applied and he saw she had a quirk, but he didn’t read it. He was too busy trying to figure out what the music scene was like in the area to focus on his school. He was excited to go to the academy but he was more excited to meet the people around him. Can’t be famous without people knowing your name and liking you!

”So, should we head up now or do you wanna check out what this crazy nurse has planned for those still frozen in fear? I feel like with your size and my quirk we might be able to make another big scene, a good one. We’re here to be heroes right? Why not start now, save some people, whaddya say?” Lysander spoke, he knew he might be late so he was willing to do either choice. If the big guy wanted to go, he would go but he knew that glory was just ready to be taken right then and there at the risk of being late.
