Lysander was ready to go the second he saw his team. The heavy hitters were impossible to identify as Lysander couldn’t say he confidently knew a single person on his team’s quirks. He figured a demo was in order to help get everyone acquainted and situated. And by that he meant he had to prove to everyone that without a doubt he was to cover point B. He put a hand in the air and spoke in a loud, deeper than normal tone.

”Now I don’t want to say I’m team leader, but I do want to say that we all should know who’s quirk does what. And to kick things off, I’ll go first. See these spikes on my arm? Well, they might be a bit more than that.” Lysander said, holding his right arm out, bending it 90 degrees so his forearm would be parallel with his head. Each spike elongated to about 6 feet long and began to unravel into several small wires that seemed to bend and straighten at his will. He made a large heart out of wires. ”My quirk is called Wire. I have these running all through my body, each one is 50 feet long and there are 100 of them coiled up on each of my limbs.” He gestured to the spikes on his other arm and his legs, the whole time holding the heart shape where it was, simply extending the wires to keep it from moving. “I feel like point B is going to be my best position, since I can control them all separately or as large cords which are, well, less pretty but a lot stronger. He retracted the wires and backed up, waiting for someone else to take the stage.

Mina rolled her eyes when ‘Mr. Maybe’ started the team meeting with ‘I don’t want to say I’m the team leader’ thus automatically making himself team leader. He was slipping from a ‘maybe’ to a ‘no’ when he brought up the point that the team couldn’t work on strategy until we knew each other’s quirks, which was a very good point. Back to a ‘maybe’. His quirk was impressive too, and definitely the most tactically useful at Point B. Mina stepped forward. She would be next. “I’m Kasuke,” she stated. ”This is my quirk.”

And then she made her whole body glow. At first it was noticeable but looked quite useless, then, with a look of concentration and exertion on her face, her whole body got brighter and brighter until you had to close or avert your eyes. Then it died down back to normal. ”I also feel point B would be my best position. In fact, anywhere else and I may as well be quirkless, but in the dark I could be useful.”

Sen took a step forward after Mina,, raising his hand briefly in greetings He got straight to the point, doubting they had much time before the exercise would begin. ”Hey guys, I’m Sen and my quirk is called Breathe. If you couldn't tell from the gas mask I have to wear, my breath can take on two qualities. I can either breathe a chemical that causes paralysis or I can breathe an agent that’s highly corrosive. The bad news is that I can't control who is affected by my quirk and I can’t shut it off, meaning I can't just take this mask off and go about my business. I think I should go to point A with Sam because he shouldn't be affected by me, even though I have a plan for how to keep my quirk from hurting any of you guys while still being able to use it against Delta Squad.”

Sen moved over to stand next to Jett ”Is this our whole game plan though? We just split into groups and try to hold each territory and hope for the best? Unless there’s someone here with a communication quirk, each group will be in the dark about how the other groups are doing. Like if we managed to neutralize all the enemies in a territory, how would we let everyone else know? Or vice versa, if a group needs help how will they let the others know? And not to mention we can't split evenly into 3 areas with only eight people so one territory is going to have an extra person. If Delta Squad does the same thing we do, that means they'll have one group of three as well and if they send the group of three to a territory that only has two of us, we already start outnumbered.” Sen was stumped on the best course of action, he looked to the others. ”Any ideas?

”A signal.” The quiet voice of the group’s seemingly least talkative member piped up suddenly from behind Sen as there was a faint crackle of static, and a single tuft of blonde hair poked straight up from the head of the girl who’d walked up to him in silence, almost as if this was supposed to be done in lieu of raising her hand. The red of her eyes faded to blue as she explained herself. “My name is Motome Fumika. My Quirk lets me record and make copies of things. Just now, that girl became shiny, so if we’re outnumbered where I am, I can make another her who’ll be almost as shiny, except up in the air. You should all be able to see.”

She seemed to think about this for a moment, and then nodded to herself, as if she’d just had an idea. ”Didn’t Mr. Yoshida say that we only needed to control two points?” Fumika asked abruptly, her train of thought suddenly jumping to a completely different subject. ”In that case, it seems more likely that the enemy will focus most of their efforts where they think they have the best advantage. They have someone who can fly… Oh, and the shouty boy who made the windows shake when he sneezed. And that’s at least a fourth of their team… So doesn’t that mean they’ll definitely try to attack C with everything they’ve got? It’s big and open and probably would be easiest for them to attack.” She paused for a moment, the single, upright strand of her hair bobbing up and down seemingly of its own accord as she mumbled something under her breath, then suddenly launched into something that was seemingly unrelated to what she’d just been talking about.

”How about I go to A alone, four people go to B to ensure we don’t lose it, and three go to C to stall for time? I’m really good at running and jumping and stuff, and if they try to attack with a lot of people where I am, I can just make more people to fight them. Well… Okay, it might be hard to actually fight them… but maybe I could just create the image of most of our team there? I recorded everybody already, and at a distance, they wouldn’t be able to tell that my copies were fake, so they probably wouldn’t run in, right? That way, they probably won’t try to attack A, and will focus on the other points, thinking they’re weaker. Then everyone can ambush them, and even if we lose at B or C, we’ll still have A to retreat to. Or, if they figure it out, I can always leave another me to distract them while I run away, and then go help elsewhere.” At this point, it wasn’t really clear if she was still talking to the rest of her team, or if she’d started talking to herself - at least until she suddenly let out a quiet ”Oh!” and raised her head, as if she’d just noticed she wasn’t alone for the first time. Evidently to demonstrate… something… she held up both her hands in front of her, with two fingers upraised on her right and one finger on her left.

”I’ll make one shiny girl if they attack me and I have to run, and two shiny girls if they don’t and it’s safe. Either way, even if they attack me, we can always have the others retreat from C in order to take back A.” She nodded again to nobody in particular, seemingly quite satisfied with herself, before lapsing unexpectedly into… English?. ”’One if by land, two if by sea.’”

Lysander pondered over all the suggested plans. He agreed with the fact that only controlling two was probably their best bet, and a third would just be absolute overkill. ”W-was that english? Oh my god it’s been so long since I’ve heard it... It’s beautiful as ever. I agree though, we do need to focus on A and B, C is for chumps. Maybe... Hey Sen can I try on your gasmask?”Lysander said, reaching a hand out to the boy who’s quirk could put a person to sleep or melt their face off. ”Maybe we could go together to point B, I’ll hold them down and you gas ‘em, eh?” He said, still doing his best to stay out of any specific spot that made him seem like a leader in any way. He felt bad from the start for already calling himself out as ‘not the leader.’

Lysander paused for a second, his eyes widening as if he just realized something. ”Wait what the hell quirks do they have besides flight boy and megasneeze? I think I remember that one girl having a shield, but who knows if there’s more than that. And that one pudgy dude, no way he got in with a body like that unless his quirk was amazing.”

Sen decided to chip in with all the info he had on Delta, not that he had much. ”From what I saw and heard, Kenichi has enhanced conditioning because he can take in more oxygen or something. He called it something close to blood pumping. The only other person I saw use their quirk was the guy with red hair, he could make some sort of metal armor. But I’m not sure, I only saw it for a few seconds before he made it disappear.”

Fumika chimed back in at this point. ”I don’t know what anyone’s Quirk is, but the round man is weird. I thought he was normal, but when I tried to record him, his insides were all sloshing around everywhere.” Lysander blinked and shook his head in disbelief as she mentioned what the pudgy man was ‘made of’, but let her continue without interrupting. “I don’t really get what he’s made of, but that probably has something to do with his Quirk. He might be dangerous.” She shook her head in a picture perfect imitation of Lysander, and then carried on. ”But I don’t think we should have the spirit go with the shiny girl. They don’t have anybody who makes light, do they? If they don’t, then she’s the only one who can hurt him. We need to make sure they don’t use that against us. Besides, keeping him together with Sen is really important, since he doesn’t need to breathe. And, it’s also really important that Sen goes to Point C, since that’s where they’ll be hitting the hardest. Even if we lose there, if he can keep most of their team’s best fighters from moving, we’ll be able to win in the long run. Although, if Lysander could use his gas mask, it would be easier, since then they couldn’t run away from Sen, either…” She trailed off back into her own thoughts at this point, evidently leaving the others to decide what to do.

Sen grinned beneath the mask, he hadn’t thought about having another person wear his mask, then he could breathe fully without having to worry about hurting anyone. ’That’s genius, Fumika! I’d have to clean it really quick though so the residue doesn’t paralyze Lysander, and everyone would have to steer clear of C. The only problem I see with it is if the wings guy blows away all the gas away.”

Fumika blinked. ”Then why don’t the others go on ahead while you hide behind them? They don’t know about Lysander’s Quirk, so there’s a chance he’ll be able to keep them occupied while you attack by surprise. Even if you don’t get the two of them, if you can disable the others, then retreat, we still get the advantage.” She trailed off again, then suddenly began staring very intently at Sen’s mask. ”Wait, if you clean your mask, doesn’t that mean you’ll take it off? Can I watch?” As she asked this question, her eyes suddenly shifted to a stark hue of red, a bar of matching color accompanied by a dot like the “REC” symbol on an old video camera appearing in her bangs.

Surprised by the odd request, Sen quirked an eyebrow. ”Well… I mean… Sure? Whatever floats your boat I guess.” He laughed slightly, Fumika had this very unique style and he didn’t know what to think of it yet but it was damn funny. ”Everyone’s gonna have to move away though,” he warned. Fumika merely nodded… and then kept staring at him with that same intense concentration, even as she shuffled very awkwardly backwards to what she assumed was a safe distance.

Lysander chimed in when Fumika finished speaking. He put a hand in the air and let his wires extend past his hand and had them coil around each other, all 10 cords coming together to make one much thicker and stronger cord. ”I feel like I can handle Wings McGod Complex. He can’t blow us away without getting close, and if he gets too close then...” Lysander let all the wires in the now 10 foot long giant cord separate rapidly, making a mess of cords that loosely covered a wide area of the air above his hand. ”I have a net.” He giggled as he finished speaking. The cords all stiffened and wrapped into a vaguely person shaped mass before retracting back into his forearm.

”Ooh,” Fumika uttered wordlessly, at some point having changed her focus to Lysander rather than Sen. Her eyes seemed to glimmer for a moment, and with a fizzle of static, her left braid “jumped” slightly, as if it had just been tugged on by an unseen force. The individual strands came a little more unraveled, hanging loosely in a vague spiral. ”Thank you for letting me see,” She said, bowing respectfully as if she’d just been given a souvenir. Lysander again blinked and shook his head. Fumika blinked and shook her head back. Lysander couldn’t do much other than awkwardly suck on his lips and look away.

”Y-yeah.” Was all he could muster. He took a few steps away from Sen, giving him space to breathe.

Sen made sure everyone was a good distance away before he went about taking off his mask. He gripped it in one hand and went to work on cleaning the inside, getting rid of the residue, all the while an occasional cloud of yellow gas would bubble from his lips. Each time the cloud grew larger, Fumika’s eyes would flash again, and her braid would come a little further undone. Focusing on taking small breaths was difficult too, if Sen breathed fully, his lungs would shoot the gas out like a smoke machine, side effect of enhanced lungs.

”Is that the most gas you can make?” Fumika piped up, blinking a few times. The cloud she’d managed to store already in her memory was of a somewhat decent size, but it wouldn’t be very effective unless her target was directly in front of her. Lysander just put his arm over his mouth and nose. Just in case.

Sen shook his head, smirking quickly. ”Not even close, I can make more in a sec, but first, here. You might feel a little lethargic for a couple seconds but it should wear off fast.” Holding his breath, he wiped off the mask one more time before tossing it to Lysander. As it flew, Fumika watched it keenly, before turning her attention back to Sen. Lysander caught it and put it to his face, taking a deep breath before putting it on and taking a few breaths. He took a few steps toward Sen and nodded, signaling him that he was good.

Not having the mask on was nice for a change, so Sen felt great when he turned away from the group and breathed in sharply, when he fully exhaled a large cloud of gas shot out like some pseudo-dragon breath that engulfed Lysander, hiding him completely. Sen turned back to Fumika, ”Better?” She nodded with surprising enthusiasm, her braids re-weaving themselves, only to unravel even further as she deleted the old data and replaced it with what she’d just recorded. ”Thank you for letting me see!” She repeated, bowing several times as her eyes shifted back to their original blue and the symbol in her hair faded to a pale blue set of parallel lines, like a “pause” symbol that swiftly disappeared back into her hair. The others might not have noticed, but as it faded out, the line around her head was a little bit shorter than it had been before… She hoped that 83% charge would be enough to handle the exercise, since that would vanish rather quickly if she was continuing to record and project as frequently as she had been.

Lysander waited for the ‘smoke’ to clear before coming forward. He didn’t even feel like his skin was melting or that he needed a nap it was perfect. It smelled a bit awkward but the important thing was that his plan might actually have some sort of proof of concept. He spoke through it, standing next to Sen. ”I feel perfectly fine, and I get to look like I’m out of some weird post apocalyptic video game!” He smirked as he let some wires run out of his left arm and wrapping around its exterior, coating it entirely in a thin metal layer. He playfully acted like a zombie for a second before retracting the wires again and waiting for anyone else to chime in.

Unsure how to add anything of value to the team’s conversation, Reina had been listening intently but keeping to herself, standing a few feet away from the rest. Upon seeing Sen’s demonstration of his quirk, however, she finally had an idea she felt might be worth sharing. Hesitating for a long moment, she stepped a bit closer.

”I might...” she began, trying to find a way to say her piece without sounding like she knew better. “My quirk might go better with Sen’s...” She glanced around, feeling her face getting uncomfortably warm. ”Sorry... um, it makes my own gravitational field strong...”

Very carefully, the girl let her control over her quirk weaken, so that the group around her could feel a slight tug. “A-And I can invert it.” Just as carefully, she changed the pull into the smallest push, and after a second of that zeroed out the effect again.

Glancing to the ground in front of her, she awkwardly got to her point. “With the mask, if Sen makes lots of his gas, I can compress it around me and turn myself into a... walking chemical bomb, I guess? By pushing it all away suddenly. If that doesn’t work out, I could still try to bring the gas to any one of them at C... just make it harder to deal with and all.”

She glanced up as another idea began to develop from her train of thought. “... And in the worst case, I could still keep a cloud around me, to try and control their movements...” The girl trailed off, clearly closing up as she felt she had been speaking too much.

Jett had kept quiet this entire time, listening to the plan as it slowly came together. He was impressed with all of it. He was amused at Fumika’s ideas and how she present them...even copying Lysander’s head movements...it was adorable. His own thoughts were that of trying to improve upon them.

Using everyone's strength in the ideal location. When he felt the gravitational pull of Reina’s quirk his eyes popped up with a flood of ideas. He finally spoke up with a smile while looking at Reina. “Thats amazing Reina. I do have a question for you though, How far can your quirk repel someone, and is it in all directions I’m guessing?”

The dark-haired girl’s gaze shifted up for a moment as she was addressed. The compliment on her quirk brought a small frown to her lips, but she hid it quickly. “Yes, all around me. As for how far, it... depends. On a lot of things.” While she hadn’t used her quirk as much as the others had likely used theirs, she had spent plenty of time theorizing. “Weight, friction, where they are relative to me—since earth’s gravity still affects them as well—“ Reina stopped herself suddenly, and after a moment looked away awkwardly from everyone again, hand reaching up to idly play with her ear and obscure her face at least a little. “I-it just depends...” She could hardly listen to herself talk. There was no need to put everyone else through a long explanation—she was sure they could already understand the basics.

Jett noted the small frown but he then added, “ The reason I ask, is because if you can repel everyone from the objective, you could essentially hold one of the objectives by yourself with that awesome quirk. “He tried to give her a confident smile if she looked back at him.

His mind suddenly popped to Fumika, his ADHD slightly kicking in,. ”And you Fumika, How many of us can you replicate at the same time? Do you need to see someone do something or can you make them do anything? Also Wear anything?” His eyes were bright with the possibilities of these two quirks, and their usefulness to the team.

Fumika nodded, then shook her head rapidly from side to side, her hair swishing wildly back and forth as she did so. ”There’s no real limit to the number of things I can make at once, so long as they’re all within 15 meters of me and I don’t burn myself out. Oh, but they’ll only really be there if I’m still looking at them - otherwise they’re just images… And I can only make copies do things I’ve recorded, unless they’re copies of me. In that case, I can make them do anything I’ve done before.”

Jett kept his eyes glued to Fumika’s as he folded his left arm under his right and his right hand came up to his chin as he was in deep thought. “That's good. We don’t necessarily need them to be corporeal, just real enough to make them think it's real.” He looked at Sen and another lightbulb went off. “Sen… we need everyone to put on your mask and have Fumika record it. Then we need to have her record you making a massive cloud of gas.” He then looked back to Fumika, “Once you have them all recorded you can make Sen’s copy constantly spewing gas, and have a couple of us inside the gas field with the gas masks on. This will cause anyone who comes close to hesitate before coming in. Also…”

Fumika shook her head violently once again, cutting him off there. ”I don’t think that’s a good idea. It would take more of my charge just to record all of you wearing masks in addition to the recordings I already have, and I wouldn’t be able to hold up images over that large an area for very long.” She paused, thought for a moment, and then continued. ”Even if I could, it would show the other team not only what Sen’s Quirk is, but also how we plan to use it, which means if they have some kind of communication Quirk, they’d know what were were planning before we could hit C. It’ll be easier if I just project images of the team as-is, and save Sen’s gas in case I run into someone I can’t beat normally. I can project a mask for myself just fine.”

He nodded, It would still be just as effective. “Alright then, that would have to do then.” He looked around, speaking of communication quirks… Jett suddenly left the group in a slight jog to the closest trailer that acted as the ‘office.’ He opened the door to find it completely bare...not even plans for the buildings. No walkie talkies like he was hoping for. “Damn… Should have gone to UA, they always have more realistic training grounds.” He said to himself.

He jerked back wards as he stood on one foot to look around the edge of the trailer to see a work truck. “Re-he-he-eally?” he said with a grin. Hoping over the railing as graceful as a deer he ran to the door and opened it. All the while saying “Please be real, please be real.”

He looked for keys and didn’t find any. Quickly falling to the floor of the driver's side he yanked out some wires and began fiddling with them. Within a few moments, the wires he worked with sparked and the engine roared to life. With a mischievous smile on his face he looked back to the group. “Our chariot awaits!” He said triumphantly. Looking back in the truck’s cab he noticed a CB radio. He flicked the switch on to hear the sound of white noise.

His head jerked to his left to look for another truck, sadly there wasn’t one, but there was a crane truck nearby. Now he never hotwired a crane truck...maybe he could… ignitions all worked the same but that was besides the point.

He sprinted up to it, smoothing climbing up to the side of it as he placed his hands up to the window and peered in. It had one as well. Smiling. “We have communications as well!” He looked to Fumika, Her plan was all well and good, but he could add more to it. “I like your signal idea, but if we could communicate on how many people are at each one, it will greatly increase our chances to overwhelm them at one point.” He looked over to where he could see the bravo location. “That is… if Bravo has some heavy equipment with CB Radio. The crane would, but that would put one of us out of commision... “

Hopping down he walked back to the group scratching the back of his head. He couldn’t rely on the off chance of there being a third radio for them to use. He stopped next to Kasuke and finally said, “Ill drive everyone to Bravo and Charlie, and see if I can hotwire another vehicle at Charlie so that group can escape if need be. Also I think Reina should go with Sen and Lysander should come with us at Bravo…” Looking at Reina, “Thinking about it, your quirk might bring building down if you are constantly changing your gravitational pulls.” He stopped and looked at everyone, he suddenly realized how just shoved his ideas onto the group. “How does that sound?”

Lysander clapped a few times and, stepping away from Sen, took the gas mask off and tossed it over to Reina. Jett was one magnificent bastard, and this plan was pure gold it seemed. He was mad he didn’t get to burst out of a cloud of smoke like he planned to do with Sen, but to be on the front lines at B put him in a pretty comfortable spot. From the looks of the building it was all stone and concrete, nothing he couldn’t handle with his regular cords. ”Jett... you... how the hell did you know how to hotwire a car?!” Lysander said in disbelief. He wasn’t mad in any way, just excited and now extra hype for the match to come.

Jett looked at Lysander and then at everyone else who was looking back at him. He simply shrugged and said while using his hands to show imaginary wires.“Hot black wire from the battery goes to the white one that goes to the starters... It’s a lot more simple than most people think.”

Jin, who had been idly observing from the outside of the meeting, carefully noting his allies strengths and weaknesses, piped up in his small but monotone voice. “I’m powerful at close ranges. I’ll go to point B, just funnel them to me and I can take care of the rest.”

”Does it... do anything cool? Like are you super strong or like, fast? Do you make things close to you die? Should I step back?” Lysander said in a confused voice. At this point, Jett and Lysander both stepped back.

Jin sighed, deciding that it would be at their disadvantage if he was overly secretive about the nature of his quirk. Still, there was no need to reveal everything at once. Jin raised his fist and rolled the sleeve of his jumpsuit up, exposing his forearm. Then, quite suddenly, a jet of blue flame erupted from his arm, engulfing it entirely. Rather than make a roaring sound as one would expect from fire, it crackled intensely, making a great deal of noise. Jett and Lysander were lucky that they had stepped, back, as the wave of heat from the flame was so intense that their eyebrows would have likely been singed away.

“Ever seen a plasma cutter?” Jin asked, mostly rhetorically. “I can keep this somewhere around thirty thousand degrees celsius.”

Lysander decided he might want to speak up. Having a quirk that gave him easily heatable wires that resided in his body made the thought of getting too close to Jin while they both used their quirks a bit scary. ”Maybe we could work on different parts of Bravo, eh? Don’t wanna burn my insides or get my wires cut. They take a bit to regrow. Kinda like hair but only takes about a week for them to be back at 50 feet.” He nervously chuckled, holding his hands behind his back.

Jin looked back up at Lysander calmly, “Like I said, funnel them to me and I can handle the rest. Use your wires for area denial, and I can hold the line at the control point.” Lysander nodded as Jin finished speaking.

”So it’s decided? Mina, myself, Jin and Jett are going to go to B, funnel them to Jin and knock ‘em out. Maybe a combo of me hanging from the ceiling, Mina flashing them to blind them and then I toss them his way? Jett can help collect as well, right?” Lysander looked to Jett for confirmation.

“Correct, leaving Fumika at Alpha, and Sen, Reina and Sam at Charlie.” Jett said nodding.

He then realized that he forgot to mention his quirk. ” Oh and by the way, I am a Teleporter. I can teleport anywhere I can see within a set distance… It takes up a lot of my energy so I try not to use it as much as I can. “

Mina had just been watching the people come up with their own plan. It was a good plan! Make people think a lot of us are at A when we’re really all in B or C. The only alteration Mina would make is to put Jett at point C where he has greater range and visibility, but then they didn’t know where the other team would send their students, and Jett could travel between points easy enough if we realise the numbers are off. With that logic, putting him at the center of the map was indeed the smartest choice. Mina clapped her hands. “So, do we all know the plan? Are we all okay with the plan?” she asked the group, impatient to get started.

Somewhere in the back of the group, Fumika gave a very serious nod, her silly-looking antenna of hair bobbing rather violently as she did so. ”Preparations complete. All ready now.” She said.

Jett made his way over to the truck and hopped in, quickly pushing the clutch in and putting into first to bring it over to the group, turning so the passenger side was facing them. Throwing it in park he hopped out and slid a crossed the hood of the roof and opened the passenger door. “Alright let's get movin!” He said with a smile and waved his hand towards the door. It would only fit two or three more inside while the rest would have to be in the bed of the truck. The three girls could fit inside if they didn't mind the cramp cab. “Ladies get dibs in the cab, the rest of you filthy animals in the back of the truck. “ He said jokingly.

Mina hopped in the front seat, staring ahead, but spared Jett a sideways glance, and the slightest hint of an amused smile. Fumika, too, followed suit, sliding into the back - although she crammed herself as far into the corner as she could, evidently not wanting to brush shoulders with anyone else. Every few seconds, the upright tuft of hair atop her head would flop downward, only to spring back up with another crackle of static, as if it was bouncing up and down for excitement in lieu of the stonefaced and impassive girl doing the same. And, after all, why shouldn’t she have been excited? With her team’s proximity to point A and their new vehicle, there was no way they’d fail to make it there first. She’d be able to set up in time to deceive the enemy, even if they sent their fastest fighters to try to stop her. And, so long as they didn’t think to attack her, it didn’t matter what Quirks they had or how many fighters arrive. She’d prove this here - she could become a hero just like Haruka had wanted!

Sen jumped into the bed of the truck, being careful to hold his breath. Hopefully Jett would hurry it up so he could let the wind take his breath away from the others who would have to sit in the bed of the truck with him. Someone didn’t think this through... and Lysander was the second to note this concern, hopping in after Sen and make sure to sit toward the cab and behind Sen.

Gripping the gas mask in her hands tightly, Reina hesitated as she watched the others take their seats. She didn’t particularly feel she should have a spot in the cab, but no one was making any objections so she kept silent and took the seat next to Fumika. The spheres that surrounded the dark-haired girl lazily adjusted their orbits to accommodate her new surroundings—they didn’t have much place to go, meaning they floated right by Fumika on occasion. Reina glanced from the other girl to one of the orbs, mumbling a quiet “Sorry...” as she did her best to follow the blonde’s lead and press her side up against the truck’s door away from Fumika. She kept herself focused on her quirk, making sure to keep its pull completely nullified.

Jett had been watching the girls as they got in. His heart leapt when he noticed the tiny hint of a smile on kasukes lips. FINALLY it was tiny for sure but it was still a win. He continued to smile at Reina and Fumika as they got in, he did notice their uncomfortable looks on their faces as they crammed in the back. He winced and said to Reina and Fumika “Sorry bout the tight space. They were all out of sedans.” he said trying to at least put a smile on their face.

Looking back to see that Sen and Lysanders got in and that Sen didn't have his mask on whispered He closed the door and yelled “ HURRY UP JIN!” He hopped onto the hood of the truck, sliding half way before having to jump off cause he didn't have enough umph in his first jump. He then quickly swung into his seat and slammed the door.

He was about to throw it into gear when he noticed a cord coming from the radio. Only a second later he was pulling his phone out and quickly plugged it in and with a few quick taps of his fingers, a self amused smile came upon his lips as he glanced at Kasuke. “I know just the song…” As the truck rumbled to life, overhead, a different sort of rumbling vibrated the air. None of the violent nature, however, but of a soft spoken variety.

”Llego tan tarde…!” A black and white teenager cursed to himself, concern creasing his thin eyebrows and adding expression to his solid black, white cute eyes. He held his legs at an angle, as though hoping his flight through the air could hurry on--which it absolutely helped. His hand held onto the curve of his stylish black umbrella, its open webbing spread carrying him on the breeze as he so chose. How had this happened, he’d set so many alarms and yet, somehow, it would be just his luck that his breakers flipped to his room and he’d lost all power. Not to mention how long it took to get ready in his school jumpsuit--how the hell did anyone fit into those? And his didn’t even have a hole for his tail! Whatever, He’d made it to where he was supposed to be, wasn’t he? Slowly, the black and white boy floated to the ground with his umbrella with a sigh.

Well, from here on, his day would get better. First things first, he needed to find his classmates. This area was huge, how was he supposed to find them? He sighed, a little annoyed he’d have to search for them all as he drifted down, swaying side to side in a bit of a pendulum motion as the umbrella neared him to the ground.

Jett turned back forward and hit the gas, the truck roaring as the tires spun and dirt was being thrown into the air. Quickly switching to second and spinning his wheel to go around a large pile of materials, not even a few moments later he suddenly He noticed a large black….bird? Said “Black Bird” began to look the direction of the truck with a soft ”Hm?” before he felt the truck slam into his body and suck him under its heavy frame before Jett could even recognize what he was, shaking the truck violently. Jett immediately slammed on his brakes and clutch, skidding to a stop.

“What the hell was that!?” He exclaimed, jumping out of the truck and looking back at what...or who he hit. It was a freaking person! Cursing at himself He hurried over and knelt down “Hey are you alright?”

The monochrome teenager was planted against the concrete. An initially disturbing sight, two treadmarks had completely flattened his body against the pavement, crushing the visible flesh like a pancake. It looked frightening--until he slowly raised his head with a groan. Halfway down his face, his face was completely flattened to a two-dimensional state.

”Nngh…” He groaned. ”Si, amigo… Ah, one second.” The boy visibly strained for a moment, puffing out his cheeks and scrunching his eyes shut with a soft ”Hmmmm!!!!” before a “POP!” was heard. His entire body retained its healthy state instantly and he relaxed. ”Ah, much better.” The monochrome boy picked himself off, dusting his pants off with his white gloves and picking up his umbrella, which had fallen nearby. When he spoke it was with a very smooth spanish accent. ”Pardon me, is this the training grounds for the Hero Academy? I’m very late.”

All Jett could do was blink a few times. This was so trippy to him...did he just...inflate himself? Straight out of a saturday morning cartoon and even with the ‘Pop’. He rubbed his eyes to only confirm what he saw was true. They lived in a world of superhumans, but still some of the quirks out there are well….out there. He stood up and said slightly confused but more at ease knowing he didn’t just kill someone.. “ Uh… yeah, it is. Are you in class 1-A?”

”Indeed I am,” The monochrome teen stood up and put one hand holding his umbrella behind his back, and his other, white gloved hand, held out for Jett to grab. His posture was quite refined and practiced for a teenager. ”Ignacio Matias Yamada, call me Iggy. Cartoon quirk. I come from Spain.”

Jett looked at Iggy’s outstretched hand and smiled “ Jett Haven, Call me Jett. Teleportation quirk. Born in France, raised here.” He said in a similar manner. He then jerked his other hand towards the truck. “One of our guys disappeared, so I am guessing you are with us for this training exercise?” He let go of Iggys hand and started walking back to the truck. “Hop in we will fill you in on the details on the way.”

Iggy nodded and promptly hopped into the bed of the truck after Jett, twirling his umbrella once stylishly before taking a seat among his kin-ly rabble. He raised a hand in greeting and grinned at them all. ”Iggy, Cartoon. Nice to meet you.”

Once they were back in the Vehicle Jett let out a large sigh and gave a nervous chuckle. “I don’t usually hit stuff…… “ He said sheepishly to the girls in the cab. Clearing his throat. “Lets try this again.” He pressed play again on the song that happened to stop when he hit Iggy. It was at this point they all heard L Guardian over the intercom telling them to commence.

He dropped the phone in his lap and threw it again into first gear, pealing away from the scene of the accident and onwards to A. Despite the mishap, Jett tore through the construction site, drifting around corners and jumping over small mounds of dirt. They had soon came to the Alpha site, He slid to a stop and hopped out, letting Fumika out from behind his seat.

”Ok,...” He looked over the area, and found a large stacked pile of storm drains, which was next to open ground...perfect for a quick getaway with the truck if needed. “If you need help getting out of here after sending the signal… I’ll meet up with you here, It gives you some good cover and gives me some room to get close. Good luck.” He gave her a confident smile before hopping back into the truck, and speeding away towards Bravo.

As he drove his head bobbed to the music even lip singing to it, he was calm as if he was just going on a Sunday drive, yet he was driving like a mad man through the construction zone. As they came up to Bravo he noticed a loading ramp and took it...inside the half built building. He slowed down enough but still launched the truck inside, landing and sliding to a stop. "Good luck guys!" He said cheerfully as Kauske, Lysander and Jin got out. "Now play nice with the other kids... make sure you beat them to a pulp!" He said with a sarcastic tone and big smile before peeling off towards Charlie.

Now as they drove it was basically a straight shot now, no weaving or dodging piles of materials or buildings.
Quickly making their way to Charlie, He could see a few hills around it and some construction vehicles, even at this distance. As he sped up closer, if anyone was on c... they would hear this slowly coming closer. Jett gripped the wheel tightly and yelled"Hold on you guys!" The truck hit the larger of the few mounds and sent them flying like the good old boys in dukes of hazard. The truck landed and Jett continued to drive around, kicking up dust and dirt till it became very hard to see and giving them cover from people already at C. He skidded to a stop and after a moment coughed before looking back at his remaining team of Reina, Sen and Iggy. "Last stop" He said with a big kid smile.

Training Ground Echo > Point A

@pkken"Come with me if ya want, Roy-kun...but no offense, keepin' up with me probably ain't happenin'."

As they finalized their positions, Yoshida-sensei's voice came over the intercom.

"Alright students, I will recite the conditions to win one more time. Control 2/3 points dominantly or incapacitate the opposing team. Just don't kill each other alright, you may--"

Kenichi's nostrils flared, twin streams of air making a sound like an air compressor in reverse.

"--begin!"

The blue-hair shot off so fast that when Acion launched himself and Mamoru into the skies, the winged boy felt a slipstream pulling at him for several seconds. Earlier that day, Kenichi had blasted through the corridor with Isshin in roughly three seconds. As he had taken note of then, that hallway was about a hundred meters long. That put him at a speed of nearly 75 miles an hour, or 120 kilometers. Moving so fast wasn't without its dangers--Kenichi's quirk made him strong and fast, but not necessarily tough. He might be a little tougher than average, because his body had adapted to his powers over the course of his life, and for the same reason his reflexes and kinetic vision were a little better. But tripping, or running into something, or overshooting a turn were still very real problems for him. So after the initial start he actually began reigning in his speed little by little, making use of the many obstacles and the wide-spread layout of the field to do so. A sweeping arc towards the edge of Echo, then up and over a bundle of concrete pipes, up the extended arm of an old backhoe like a ramp and out into open air. He wasn't exactly a traceur, but his sheer physical ability let him perform similar feats. He whooped as he flew, then landed with a thump and shot off again.

This meandering route had another purpose besides helping him control his speed. It let him take in what was actually present on the field besides the three control points--after all, the teams would have to move between them, and the best paths between each one might not be the most direct. It all depended on what was in the way, and whether or not one's purpose was to avoid or engage an enemy that might be coming from the other direction.

He closed in on Point A not long after the initial announcement. He had thought he would be the first one there, for sure...but he heard what sounded like a car door slamming, and then a motor running as said vehicle took off. What? Who had a car? Surely Alpha team didn't have someone who could transform into or create an entire vehicle? That wasn't cool, why didn't Delta team get a car!? All they had was a dude with wings, and he could only carry one person at a time!

He lowered his stance somewhat, this time picking up speed, and headed for a flat piece of wood that lay slanted against a storage container. Again he ramped up it and shot into the air, sailing up for a bird's eye view of Point A with a shout.

"YOSHIDA KENICHI, COMIN' THROUGH!"

As Alpha Squad's acquired transport swiftly vanished into the distance, Fumika herself set about finding a place to hide. She was at the center of Point A - a large enclosure of metal shipping crates directly underneath the large crane overhead, with several prominent bits of scaffolding and large archways between them all around. In this sort of environment... An opponent probably couldn't be bothered to check every crate, right? She glanced around until something caught her eye - one crate had a small hole rusted into the back. She quickly ran over to this one, opened the latch, then slipped inside, leaving the latch ever-so-slightly ajar. Peering out through the hole, she then set to work on her first main plan.

...Of course, it would have seemed utterly unbelievable if she'd projected copies of her entire team guarding the point. Anyone who saw it would immediately understand how unreasonable such a strategy would be, and realized that it must have been some kind of trick. But, if she simply created enough people to give her the appearance of a numerical advantage... Her eyes shifted to bright green, and a matching arrow formed in her hair as the bar around her head lit up, glowing faintly in the dark. Peering with a single eye out through the tiny hole, she set about her work.

Copies of Sen, Lysander, Mina, and Jin all appeared standing at intervals around the capture point, all just barely within 15 meters of her hideout. Then, right in front of the crate she herself was hiding in, another one of herself appeared, standing in front of the hole in order to block her eye from the view of anyone who might arrive to attack. Her preparations were complete. This way, she could hold a point without slowing her team down, and even her power of simple mimicry could be useful. Even though she couldn't stand on the same level as everyone else, she could at least help them. She could at least not get in their way. Now, all there was to do was wait, and if everything went as planned-

"YOSHIDA KENICHI, COMIN' THROUGH!"

The sudden shout split the air, and Fumika jumped, almost banging her head against the top of the crate. Everything was not going as planned. How had an enemy arrived so quickly? There was no way anyone was that fast, unless it was-

Her heart sank as the familiar figure of the short, blue-haired boy from before landed right in the middle of her circle of images, grinning from ear to ear. Out of everyone on the opposing team, he was the one she was most certain she didn't want to fight. She'd been sure that he'd be holding C, the point with the most open space, and had even sent Sen over there as his natural counter! So then why? Why had her prediction turned out to be so completely wrong? She frantically began tugging at her hair, trying to come up with some kind of a way out.

She couldn't run. Even if she did, he'd just catch her and eliminate her with his superior speed and strength. He didn't seem to care that he was outnumbered, either. Not that it mattered, it'd be no different from how it always was!

A blur of black circled all around her. Trees shook in the sudden wind as the figure, too fast for her eyes to follow, slammed into one of her copies, shattering it into dust before spinning to kick another one into the wall. Fumika took a step back, but by then, it was already too late. Another three strikes, faster than she could even see, destroyed all her remaining doppelgangers, and before she could process what was happening, she'd already been knocked to the ground. She groaned, rubbing her eyes as her vision cleared to see Haruka standing over her with a stern expression on her face.

"Come on, Fumi, are you even trying?" She asked, the disappointment in her voice hurting even more than the blow she'd just received, or the knowledge of her defeat.

She'd tried again. This time, she created obstacles, tried to bar the way. All she could do was slow Haruka down before she eventually broke through. "You did a bit better that time!" She said consolingly. "Good job!"

Who had done a good job? Nothing had changed but the time it took to beat her. She hadn't even landed a single hit. Haruka was simply too strong. There was no way... absolutely no way that a fake like her could keep up with the real thing, or stand on the same level. No matter how hard she tried, she just had to accept that fact.

Nothing would change. Nothing would change. Nothing would...

...Change. It had to change. This time... this time, she couldn't hold her allies back. Even if she couldn't win, this fight really was different. She didn't have to beat him, after all - she just had to stall for time! If she could just buy the others time to take the remaining two points, then her efforts wouldn't be in vain! In that case... A distraction! She needed a distraction! He hadn't seemed to notice that her "teammates" were actually fakes. Maybe, if she could just fool him into surrendering! Right, this was no time to panic! She still had the upper hand!

She tried her best to have her copy mime the movement of her own lips as she spoke, but couldn't see clearly enough to tell whether or not the result was accurate. She placed her mouth against the hole in the crate, wanting to mask the echo from within the hollow box as much as possible, so that it would sound like the voice was really coming from her image outside. Maybe... Maybe he wouldn't notice!

"You're surrounded. Don't move. Please, surrender, and we won't have to hurt you." She kept her message short and simple. Anything longer, and he'd probably have noticed the discrepancy between her copy's location and the source of the voice that was talking. She just hoped he didn't get any closer to any of the copies she'd made... if he did, he might realize that although they appeared to be breathing, they weren't actually making a sound!

Once the three Alpha Team members had been dropped off, and the truck sped away to point C, Mina lit up the dark building, using her hand like a torch. She looked around, but couldn't see or hear any sign of anybody on the ground floor. Four possibilities. The enemies were either above them, below them, weren't here yet (which she discounted), or had stealth quirks.

"Lysander, Jin, keep your eyes open. Wherever the other team are, they're using stealth, and planning to take us by surprise. We don't know their quirks. They could be on this floor, or the could be on a different floor. I say we stick together and make them come to us. Splitting up would just make us targets to be picked off. I'll make sure that they have no shadows to hide behind."

Making her body glow well enough that the immediate area was visible, then projecting a flashlight-like beam from her hand, she constantly watched their surroundings. After a minute or two, she grew restless, and hummed the tune to Bohemian Rhapsody to herself. Damn, that song was stuck in her head now!

ACION

Acion gave Mamoru a salute as he flew off. Upwards into the sky, until he was around one hundred and fifty meters above the battlefield. The battle had only just begun and Acion had already delivered one of his teammate to C already. It was a good start. In just nearly two minutes, his team had already claimed point C, and he had good battlefield visibility. Now, let's see what the Alphas are up to.

It didn't take long for him to realize the very obvious movements on the battleground: The moving truck.

"That is indeed smart."

Acion did notice vehicles lying everywhere in the battleground, but he did not see such utilization of it for battle use. Now they were able to move to their intended point quickly using it. From his view, they were coming from A, towards B, but he could not figure out who they dropped there, nor how many. He could only have a closer look when the vehicle moved out of B, towards C. But even that he could not figure out the details because of the dust they were causing upon driving. All he could figure out was that there were human silhouette on the back of that truck, but not sure how many. But there was definitely someone on it.

'Just assume that they are carrying one, maybe two. Combining with the driver and you'll have at least two heading to C. Maybe more than two, because I doubt they would charge in so recklessly into a point where we would definitely control.'

Acion flew a little closer to A, and, although the view was pretty groggy, he could see a couple of people standing there, defending the area. Are they holding A and attacking C? Make sense, since A was the nearest to them, but C? Perhaps they are attempting the similar strategy as Delta.

Still, he should be following his plan instead. A was for Kenichi alone to blitz through and stall for time until Donny takes B, while C must be held at all costs. And if they were foolish enough to charge straight at the lion's den, then so be it.

'Now then...'

Shall we begin the battle?

As he saw it, point A was already made occupied, point B was being handled, though he did not know how. Point C was his only concerning point to hold, and it was his vantage point. So there should be no reasons to go elsewhere now, unless things were urgent.

The truck, after slamming through the large mound, did not stop there, as it span around itself to create a dust cloud. The size was significant, blinding Acion's view of the enemy completely. But there was one thing that he knew, however, that they were in there for sure.

All of a sudden, the white-haired angel, from a flying position, suddenly made a sharp turn around his longitudinal axis, around 150 degrees clockwise, and began a 70 degrees head dive towards the battleground, or specifically, the dust cloud. For around less than a minute, he was merely gliding on his wings, making minor adjustments to his position. At first glance, people may think he was directly charging towards the dust cloud, but in fact...

At only less than twenty meters above the ground, a few meters from the dust cloud, he suddenly turned on his lateral axis, his feet facing downwards. His wings all pulled upwards, then flapped violently. That instant, around two dozens of his razor sharp feathers were released from his six wings due to the extreme inertia and sent flying into the cloud. Then his wings spreaded wide, stopping his falling momentum and flapped, flying upwards again.

Acion knew that flying into a place where he could not see was, you know, stupid. Why flying in there when you can unleash razor sharp feathers that can potentially even cut through steel? Just by attacking like this, he would still be able to maintain a relatively safe height from their attacks, while unleashing aerial terror upon them.

Mamoru Aksha

Much to Mamoru’s surprise, the enemy arrived not long after she buried herself. She heard them before she saw them; the roar of their truck and the music from their speakers alerting her of their approach. They sailed right over Mamoru’s hidden location, but that did not frighten her. No in fact it pleased her. She was glad she didn’t have to wait too long.

Mamoru emerged from her hidden location, Aegis already armed, and immediately tossed it at another vehicle on a nearby mound. She struck it with just enough force to nudge the thing forward, causing it to churn and creak as it rolled down the hill and down towards the Alpha Team’s truck. Recalling her shield back to hand Mamoru tossed her shield again, this time against another distant vehicle, a crane. It too rolled down the hill, but tripped over mid way through and crashed at the bottom, sending rubble and debris over Point C.

And at last there was the vehicles Mamoru was on. As she pushed the other vehicles en route Mamoru did notice Acion attack. So she waited for his flurry or feathers was finished before she engaged herself, less she get caught in the crossfire. Once he was finished then Mamoru acted.

Dismissing her shield for just a moment she placed her hand on the bulldozer in front of her and mushed with all her might. She pushed and pushed, almost worried that it wouldn't be enough. But when she felt the big diesel vehicle lurch forward Mamoru knew she succeeded. Quickly she climbed on top of the bulldozer as it rolled down the hill and towards the center of Point C. At some point Mamoru hoped that one of these vehicles had managed to cut off or even hit Alpha Team’s truck. But in case they didn't Mamoru would finish the job.

Hiding inside the dust cloud they were kicking up Mamoru brought out Aegis again and listened carefully. She could hear the truck easily, though she couldn't see it through all this dust. It if she couldn't see the truck, they couldn't see her. Probably. With her shield at the ready Mamoru planned to find the Alpha Team’s truck. If she found it Mamoru would faced it head on, charging with her shield forward right towards the front bumper of the truck and stopping it dead in its track. ”You better be wearing seat belts!” She said to herself as she ran through the dust clouds.

Donny Yang

Donny thought of nothing but eating and digging. He knew he could literally eat mountains of garbage and junk in the span of minutes, and it'd be no different here. As long as he focused on eating he'd have no problem making the space needed to collapse Point B. And sure enough a few minutes after he arrived to Point B, Donny had managed to dig a giant hole right underneath the building. Roughly seven feet high and covering the area of Point B, parts of this hole was already collapsing in on itself.

”Good. Good… Now just to split the foundation and left this whole thing come tumbling down.”

Donny didn't imagine it should be hard destroying the foundation of Point B. It was an incomplete building after all. Climbing to the ceiling of his own cavern Donny dig upwards into Point B and eventually hit the cement foundation underneath. From here he had to be stealthy. Instead of just bursting out of the ground Donny made a very small hole, barely the size of a 20 liter bottle cap. Donny knew he could squeeze himself into a hole that small. From there he began to “leak” just a little bit from the hole, and from this hole he could see inside the Point.

The first thing he noticed was the light. Must have been someone's quirk. Than the voices. Just one for now, but not alone. The voices and the humming grew closer, and so Donny stayed deadly still. As long as he didn't move, he'd just look like a dark, sticky puddle of oil on the floor. He only stayed to see who his enemies would be, though if they somehow detect him Donny was ready to run too.

As Jin patrolled point B with his teammates, he kept his head on a swivel, constantly alert for any indication of the enemy team. It was incredibly suspicious that there was no one else besides them there, even though it seemed that the other team had a presence at every other point. He hadn't gotten an accurate count, but it seemed like the majority of the team had been split up across A and C. That suggested that they planned to overwhelm them in some way, or perhaps trick them like they themselves had planned at point A. However, not knowing the enemy team's quirks made it impossible to guess. As Sun Tzu said, know your enemy and know yourself, and you needn't fear the outcome of a thousand battles. They were one variable short of that equation.

Jin spoke to his teammates in a hushed, tense tone. "They have to be here somewhere. We need to flush them out, somehow. Can either of you make a wide-area attack of some kind? It doesn't need to be effective, just disruptive. I can try if need be, but at longer ranges I tend to cause... collateral damage."

Donny Yang

It was time. Having confirmed that there were a few people from Team Alpha here Donny knew that he could take them out with his trap. It'd be so easy too. Just go in, dig, leave, and let the whole thing go down. Without even laying a finger on them. Yes, as far as plans go, it was perfect. And yet… There was hesitation. Doubt. Not only did Donny wonder if this tactic would work, but more importantly, what if it did? The whole place falls down and not just “eliminates” but kills someone? Admittedly the thought did cross Donny’s mind. He knew heroes weren't suppose to take the lives of villains. A vigilante may kill the bad guy for the greater good, but that's not what a hero was. A hero… Was much better than whatever Donny was.

He was cowardly and fearful. Even though he was the one who looks like a monster, Donny was more scared of others. Strong people, weak people, didn't matter. He knew that anyone could push him down, and even weaker people could get together and defeat him. It's why he hides away and does devious plans like this. He wasn't brave enough to face people head on. He didn't have that heroic courage to charge straight into danger, even if it's stronger than him.

But isn't that why he came to this school? To change? Donny wasn't sure what to do. He knew the destruction this attack could do. He wanted to be strong. But was he going to throw away his heroic title for power? It was certainly tempting. Donny didn't know what to do. So he just… Did something. First he started yelling.

”L-L-L-Listen up!” Donny’s voice echoed through the building. He had to speak fast or else Ream Alpha might track him down. ”I'm warn-n-ning you! Leave this place. I'm going… I'm going to d-destroy it! Bring the whole thing down! Don't think I c-c-c-can't!” Donny started slinking back into his hole, getting even more nervous and fearful by the second. ”You got t-t-ten minutes. If you're still here after that… You're gunna get hurt… And I... I can't…. I won't hold back!”

Donny slunk back into the ground and stayed there for a few minutes to cool down. He's never actually threaten anyone before, and he hoped that they all leave. Of course he knew his stuttering and the war on his voice might make them think he was bluffing, but at the same time perhaps they may also think the fear and hesitation in his voice could also demonstrate he was about to do something massive? Donny could only hope. Either way, after he took a minute to calm his nerves, he started eating at the foundation. It would take him roughly ten minutes or so for him to destroy enough for the building to fall into the train tunnels below. Hopefully Team Alpha would heed his warning and leave. If they stayed and get caught in the attack… Than Donny would keep his promise.

As Donny kept eating at the foundation the. Holding would begin to moan and creak as the weight started to shift. A loud bang could be heard shortly after Donny’s warning as part of the building dropped a few feet, thanks to Donny destabilizing that part of the ground. It wouldn't destroy the building on its own, but hopefully it would show Team Alpha that Donny wasn't kidding. So long as no one stopped him, more creaking and loud pops would be heard as Donny chewed up the foundation. If Donny could continue uninterrupted for about eight more minutes, he would do enough damage to the place and Donny would flee Point B from underground, heading towards Point C.

"I could make a bright flash, but that would only disrupt them if they were looking at me, and even then, we wouldn't know where they are. Plus, you two would also be affected."

As Mina continued to search the area, she felt something off, so she backtracked with her beam, before realised what it was; There was a puddle of oil that had disappeared, and oil doesn't dry that fast. Also, this was not a real building site. It was merely a training ground. There would have been nothing brought in here that could cause a puddle of oil. That was somebody's quirk! She was about to alert the others that the enemy was right below them when a voice from below gave a warning that he was going to collapse the whole building unless they left. Well...guess she didn't need to tell her teammates that there were people below, though the thought that it might only be one student never crossed her mind.

"...Alright, new plan!" Mina shouted. "Forget sticking together, we need to head below and find these guys fast! Make as much noise as you can when you find somebody, and the other two will come to you. Got it? Good!"

And with that brief order, Mina ran to where she saw the puddle of oil and sure enough, there was a tiny hole. Mina shone a light at it with just her index finger, and then, concentrating, focused the light into a single point, and pumped more and more light into that one tiny pinhead until the light turned red and was starting to burn through the floor. Mina had turned her light into a laser.

When she had finished cutting a circle, the floor fell through, leaving a hole which Mina jumped down, though not before checking that the drop wasn't too big. She landed with a roll to cushion the fall, leaving the boys above with considerably less light to see as she crawled down the subterranean pipes alone, searching for the plot to sink the building.

LYSANDER

Lysander was startled by the sudden voice and building shaking but held himself together fairly well. Need be he could just caccoon himself, Mina, and Jin to shield them from the rubble. All he had to do was be sure they stuck together. He opened his mouth to let them know the new plan but found himself cut off by Mina who quickly cut a hole and jumped into a pipe. He very quickly rushed past Jin and poked his head in to look for the light of her quirk and hoped she wasn't too far in. "Listen Mina, if we want to win we gotta hold this point and obviously sitting below a COLLAPSING BUILDING isn't the brightest idea, eh?" he called out after her. He didn't want to admit that he was only saying that because he knew that with her quirk, once he had saved everyone she would provide good lighting to the scene so everyone could see him well but deep down he knew that sticking together was for the best.

He extended his wires down the pipe that was just barely too thin for his body to follow through, snaking them along the walls until he saw their shadows grow. They all converged on what he assumed was her ankle but just brushed the back of her shoe as she got a mere inch too far away, he pushed his arm deeper in but seemed to once again be just out of reach. "Fuck, Jin, Mina's in some pipe and this building is coming down, we need to either save her, or find a way to the top floor stat. Aka, get on my back, I lift you cut. Don't worry about the collapse I have a way to keep us from dying." Lysander was still set on saving people from the collapse, regardless if the lighting was no longer perfect.

He walked over to jin and pointed his hands into the air, shooting his uncoiled cords up three stories and digging them into the floor of the fourth floor. He gestured for Jin to hop on his back and got ready to pull the two of them up and up until they held the roof. He was not fond of losing or looking bad, and it was hard to see him inside of the building. How was anyone gonna know there was trouble if nobody could see the two of them before the collapse!

Beneath Point B

Feat. @Lucius Cypher

Mina ignored Lysander's words as she crawled down the pipe, and, when she heard the wires follow her down, kicked them away, boosting herself further down and out of their reach in the process. What was their plan? To wait for the building to collapse and just...survive it? That was so...easy! Mina didn't want to play it easy. She wanted to find the perpetrator and stop them! She ha no idea where they were hiding but it must either be inside these pipes, or a place accessible from these pipes. She kept crawling forward, her quirk illuminating the darkness ahead.

Donny started chewing through the foundations like he said he would. His plan would to to cut them into pieces, roughly quarters. Of course since he couldn't exactly see in the dark, it was more like he was just breaking chunks of it off. Still it would accomplish his goals to destroy the place. Soon he finished cleaning through a small area of the foundation, causing a loud crack as the building shifted a few feet downwards.

”Okay, so far so good.”

Donny went to head to another part when, as he was digging downward, he hit a pipe. A lead pipe wasn't going to stop him, but he was surprised he ran into one. Perhaps he could use it as a quick escape out of here? Digging around the pipe Donny realized just how huge it was: it was at least four feet in diameter! He'd be squeezing if he went inside, at least if he didn't turn himself into a puddle. Taking a moment to peek Donny ate through the pipes and seeped in side.

Then he looked around and was blinded by a light. ”Aaaah!”

Mina stared in confusion as a oil-like substance seeped into the pipe. It was that quirk again! She glowed brighter, so that she could see and they could not, and realised that the ‘oil’ had formed a blob. Nobody in their class had a mutation quirk like this that she knew of. Was it a transformation quirk? First things first; how was she going to get out of this?

While the blob was still startled by the light, she frantically started to back up further into the pipe. She was at a disadvantageous position right now, and at the very least, needed some distance, if not to lose the blob entirely.

Donny didn't know who this person was, but he could guess it was the one who's quirk made all those lights. Though Donny still couldn't see, these narrow pipes would not give his target much room to maneuver as he lashed forward, four skeletal claws emerging from his body to grab Mina. He didn't really know why he was chasing her when he should've just went back into the ground.

Unable to looked directly at Mina due to her bright light Donny could only push forward and flail at her, hoping one of his claws struck her so he could pull her towards him. ”I told you to run! Why are you here?! I'll eat you!” Donny roared monstrously. They were mostly empty threats, but the way Donny shouted it was filled with pent up anger, and it certainly seemed like he was going to eat Mina. It certainly didn't help that he then produced a set of pointy teeth around the base of his body, suddenly turning the tunnel she was in into one huge mouth.

The claw got very close to grabbing Mina, but she ducked and weaved out of it’s reach as she continued to back up until she felt she had just enough distance. She pointed her finger at Donny and started to focus a beam into a laser again. Now it was a race of who was faster; Mina creating her laser, or Donny reaching Mina. ”If I ran, we’d lose the point! I am NOT going to be a loser on day 1! I’m going to flush you and anybody else at B out and stop the building from collapsing! Even if I don’t, getting beaten better than running away!”

”Then die!”

”Hmf! That’s not a very heroic thing to say!”

Donny’s claws shot past Mina, only to hook their fingers together and pull back towards Donny as he tried to catch Mina from behind. Now closing in on both front and behind Donny slammed into Mina. Mina made absolutely no move to escape. If she dropped her attempt to make a laser, she had already lost. The yellow pinprick of light focused on Donny was singeing ever so slightly, like putting a magnifying glass to your arm.

Mina would feel smothered, as if someone was pressing a soaking wet towel over her face and poured more water onto it. ”Aaaaagh! It burns!” Mina’s laser started smoking the point it hit Donny as he tried to smother her, slamming the both of their bodies to the ground. Donny didn't know what to do from here or how to take out Mina even if they were grappling. So he just started digging back into the ground, dragging Mina down with him.

The slam, combined with the smothering sensation, caused Mina to stop putting energy into the laser. She cursed. Now, she was sweating. At least she figured out that it didn’t need to be a full laser to hurt him, simply concentrated light. She let herself get dragged further down, starting to focus another damaging beam. ”You can’t bring the building down AND fight me off forever!” She gloated.

”Gaaargh! Annoying twat!” Mina just kept burning Donny with lasers. He wished she would just stab him instead because that actually hurts less. He only managed to dig about twelve feet deep when he decided it wasn't worth getting immolated, and spat her out from his body, leaving her buried in the ground. Donny tried to run away, dropping dirt behind him so Mina couldn’t follow, even if it was going to possibly bury her alive. Your funeral, then! You can stay in the dirt!”

Donny needed to finish off Point B fast. Those lasers hurt!

Mina followed as far as she could before it became hard to proceed through the wall of dirt. Instead she turned, and climbed back up slowly and carefully, then carried on crawling through the pipe, in the direction that Donny had been going. Surely, he had to come back up here to carry on digging to bring the building down. If he didn’t, she’d lose him, and doomed herself. Right now, it was a test of luck.

Donny frantically climbed back upwards and hit the pipe. He didn't waste any time and just chewed right through it, spotting Mina’s light just further down the tunnel. “Shit! How'd she climb so fast?!” Time was against him. Donny didn't bother to go pursue Mina and headed straight back towards the foundation, chewing through it quickly and hazardardly. It wasn't nearly as clean and looked like he literally was chewing through it, but Donny hoped that the damage he'd do will be enough now that he knew being underground wouldn't save him he had to hurry.

Mina glowed to allow herself to see, then carried on pursuing, failing to realise that her glow was brighter than usual. Due to failing to realise this, she also failed to realise that in the previous struggle, all of her clothes had been eaten away, leaving her completely nude. She was far too focused on stopping Donny so even see notice that her arms had no sleeves. Donny, however, would see the front half of a now naked Mina if he looked.

Focusing on eating away at the foundation, Donny did notice that Mina was gaining on him. He created bony legs with huge claws to start shoveling the dirt around him towards the back of Donny. He only needed to eat the foundation and didn't need to leave a tunnel behind. As he ate through one part it actually almost crushed him as it suddenly shifted and fell a few inches. Donny tunneled forward and a huge chuck of the floor collapsed downwards behind Donny’s path as he continued forward. He had no idea how close he was to collapsing the place, so he was just going to try for one more clean cut and then bail.

Mina realised that she could no longer follow Donny. The wall of dirt he’d created was too dense to penetrate. She also realised that she could not escape this tunnel the way she had come in, and as she was thinking this, she heard the creak of part of the foundation collapsing. Seeing no other options, she put her hands to the dirt wall and started digging frantically, while shouting ”Hey! The building’s gonna go! You win! Now get me out of here! I am actually going to die!”

Donny didn't go far when he heard Mina’s scream. Suddenly a lot of guilt hit him all at once. It was so bad that he was starting to hear voices. ”Someone needs your help! No! She brought this on herself. You warned her. You told her what would happen. But this isn't what a hero does! You warned them so they could escape. You can save her now. But what if she betrays you? As if you never had that happen before. A hero takes on that burden. They're the ones who takes the bullet. Own up to your mistake! Finish the mission!” Donny groaned and turned around. He poked a hole underneath Mina but didn't go through, only his voice.

”Nrgh… Fine. But I'm dropping you off someone far away from here, got it?! And if you try anything funny, I will leave you in the ground!”

”Fine! Fine! I promise I won’t try anything! We are talking about my life here!”

Donny just grunted as the small hole Mina was in started to fill with his black, sludgy mass. Just enough filled the hole for Mina to somewhat sit comfortably on as Donny dug straight downwards. He would go to the Train Tunnel below Point B and let Mina walk away from here. Hopefully she would be far away once this place comes tumbling down. As they dug down, Donny reached the large camouflet he had made. It was than that he glanced at Mina and noticed two things.

First she was hugging him.

Second she was naked.

”Ah what the hell!”

Taking a short stop, Donny entered the camouflet and moved away from Mina. He wasn't sure if this was another trick or what, but he immediately spat out his meat suit, hiding it behind him. He stripped his own body of their XXL sized gym clothes and tossed them towards Mina. ”You… Put those on!”

”Why, what’s wrong with what I’m w...Ack!”

Mina had only just now noticed that she was naked. She immediately made parts of her body glow, creating ‘censor bars’ made of light, as she grabbed the clothes and put them on, though they were too big for the small-framed girl.

”We were so busy fighting, neither of us noticed you ate my clothes!” Mina stated, and then actually started to chuckle. To tell the truth, she was very relieved to be alive and safe, so was in quite a good mood right now.

”I… Guh… W-w-whatever! Just hurry up and I'll drop you off!” As soon as Mina was done dressing Donny and her continued down towards the tunnels below. It wasn't too long a trip since Donny just used his previous tunnel, and once he arrived he climbed down the side of the wall and let Mina off. ”Don't stick around or else this whole place will fall on your head. I’m sure there's an exit somewhere. So um… See ya. I guess. Uh…”

This was awkward. Before he was so caught up in the moment of the fight that he was vicious and cruel. But after getting an eyeful of Mina, Donny reverted back to his awkward self. He wasn't really sure what to do now, and seeing Mina in his clothes made Donny flustered. She was actually still rather cute. ”Um… Y-Y-Y-You wanna snack or something?” Donny produced two chocolate protein bars. Not the tastiest of candies, but Donny was somewhat certain that the teacher would be more approving of him eating these than chips, at least during classes like this.

This was a surreal situation for Mina. She was being offered a snack by a large black blob with claws in an underground cavern, while naked. This was only the first day of the academy! What would the future hold of this was day one? Though, the high from having her life saved was wearing off, and her cold, calculating brain was kicking him. The longer she stalled Donny down here, the more chance of the other two holding the point until the game was over. The fight wasn’t over yet. She just had to use different weapons now.

Mina smiled, and took one of the bars, opening it and taking a small bite. She smiled at Donny. ”I’ve just realised we don’t even know each other’s names! I’m Kasuke,” she said, offering her free hand to the inhuman form of Donny.

”Oh. Um.” Donny looked at Mina, or Kasuke as she calls herself, uncertain what to do. At first he reached out with his claw but realized that he might hurt her, as his claws were sharp and about as big as her head. Then he considers shaking her hand with a hand made of slime but that was rather creepy. He stood there for a few seconds confused and just chose to bow instead, which was still rather awkward because it just looked like a giant black slime folding over.

”Oh. N-N-Nice to meet you. Um...I uh… I'm sorry. I kinda don't want to tell you my name… I don't really want t-t-too many people knowing that um... I'm this.”

When Donny bowed, Mina retracted her hand and curtsied in response, smiling genuinely now. She might not even have to pretend to like him if he keeps this up.

”That’s understandable, I suppose. What should I call you for now, then?”

”Uh… I dunno. I guess…” Donny wasn't sure what to say now. On one hand he wanted to tell Mina something, but he didn't have a fake name to tell her. But… He had been mulling on his hero name for a while. Good chance as any to give it a go. ”D-D-Darkmatter. I'm Darkmatter.” Donny liked the name. Darkmatter was a mysterious substance capable of providing limitless energy or destroying everything. Donny was made of mysterious substances and could eat anything. At some point he wonders if he could also make stuff, but so far all he's been able to make is bony appendages. Glancing between the floor and Mina, Donny tapped the tip of his fingers together nervously.

”You… Aren't you scared of me?”

”Not really. I’d be a terrible hero if I was scared of a shy boy who looked a little different. Besides, aren’t YOU scared of ME?” Mina quipped, pointing her finger at Donny as if she was about to focus another laser, but she lowered her hand. ”I’d say I’m the scarier of us two.”

”Aaah!”

Donny shrank away, hiding behind a bag of cement. He poked his head off the side. ”W-W-Well yeah! You lasers hurt! Like a lot. I can still feel the pain.” Donny rubbed part of his body that got hit by the lasers. While there wasn't any marks anymore he could still feel the burns. Standing up slowly Donny started backing towards the wall. ”Um… So… Right. I guess I'll just go then.”

”Wait!” Mina shouted after him. ”I’m sorry I lasered you. It was a bit of a dirty move to hurt another student like that and, well, I’m very sorry.” She bowed after making her apology.

Donny looked at Mina and rubbed the back of his head, or where his head would be if he had one. ”No… No it's alright. It's fine. You were just defending yourself. I mean…” Donny started to chuckle. It wasn't a happy chuckle though. ”I mean… I was about to leave you under ground. Bury you in rubble. I-I-I might've killed you. I… It’s… Heh…” Donny started to crack. It sounded like he was almost about to cry. ”That's kind of fucked up innit?”

It took a lot of Mina’s will power not to chew him out right there. It was fucked up, and she had not forgiven him, but she needed to keep up the charm. It was going very well right now. She couldn’t foresee any hiccup that would make him leave her to continue his plan, especially not now he’s feeling guilty. Time to make him feel worse.

”We both got pretty carried away back there, but I want you to know that I personally forgive you,” she lied.

”Is that so.”

Donny said darkly. He started to rise up, his now six claws hanging loosely at his sides. ”You'd forgive a monster like me? Because… I still have a job to do. I promised to destroy Point B. It had to be me… I'm the only one who could do it. Who has to do it.” Donny’s voice was monotonous and quiet.

Mina, to tell the truth, was taken by surprise by this change. She quickly tried to think up something that would make him stay, or doubt himself, only to realise that what she was thinking was...actually the truth! She stood up, face to face with him, a stern and stubborn expression on her face.

”Don’t call yourself that!” Mina shouted with real emotion. Despite this game she was playing, she’d found Donny...kind of endearing. ”The boy I’ve just been speaking to isn’t a monster, or a killer. He wouldn’t risk seriously hurting the other two students up there, or worse, just for some silly training exercise!”

”YOU DON’T KNOW ME!”

Donny lurched forward and roared into Mina’s face, getting a full view of the black abyss inside of him. There she'd also see Donny’s meat bag, flat and lifeless, hanging inside Donny’s body like a freakish tongue.

”I've been a monster since I was a child! This is who I am. This is what I do! You… You're just lying! I know you're scared of me, everyone is! You just want to trick me and hurt me, just like everyone else! They're out to get me and the only way I can save myself… Is if… Is if I can get stronger…” Donny remained looming over Mina, seemingly poised to strike. Yet she may hear drops of water land on and behind her. Black droplets from Donny’s own body.

Mina’s last scraps of charming facade vanished from her. Her eyes were glistening and furious, her nose was wrinkled and her mouth and set to a deep frown. There was no fear at all in her face as she looked up at him, but nor was there any longer any warmth.

”Darkmatter,” She spoke quietly and coldly. ”Don’t you dare talk to me like that ever again. I mean it. I don’t tolerate that kind of language from friends.”

”... Friend?”

Donny started to shrink back down, sitting his meat bag back into his body. He turned away from Mina momentarily before sorta facing her. It was hard to tell when you had no face. ”How can you do that? To forgive me and say I'm your friend… Even though I was planning and am about to kill you and everyone else.” Donny scratched the walls and looked at Mina. He wasn't sure what to make of her now. Was she trying to trick him, or was she being genuine? As usual, he does not know.

”Why would you ever want someone like me to be your friend?”

Mina’s anger dissipated a little. ”Why? Because you’re nice, and earnest, and don’t yell about being the ‘main character’ like that other boy did. Because you don’t annoy me, and honestly, that is not an easy feat. I just like you, okay? Friendship doesn’t need reasons. I’ve never worried about reasons before….though, I’ve admittedly not had that many friends before.”

Donny looked away as his body started to shake and shiver. And then he laughed. ”I don't have a-a-any friends either.” Donny doesn't understand this whole friendship thing. He's seen it on anime and it certainly looks nice, but he's never seen friendship like this. Was this normal? It felt… Unusual. ”Um… Could you keep a secret?”

”Depends what the secret is, but if there’s nothing wrong with it, sure,” Mina replied in a far more relaxed attitude closer to her usual self, only comfortable, and not as cold or aloof.

Donny gulped, his six hands tapping their claws together nervously again. ”P-P-Please don't tell anyone a-a-about me, please? I don't…. I don't know how they'd react. I… I really don't want to be a monster. I just want t-t-to be strong. For others.” Donny sunk to the ground in a sort of sitting position. ”I wanted to be a h-hero so… So people aren't afraid of me. And that they'll trust me and l-l-like me. I guess that's pretty selfish, i-i-isnt it?”

”I...don’t really see how that’s selfish, myself. I’ve wanted to be a hero for as long as I can remember. I wanted to be just like my mom and become a celebrity adored by so many people. Over time I learned more about being a hero was,the dangers and responsibilities, but that just made me want to become one even more. I wanted… Still want, to prove myself to the world. I want to prove that the little girl who’s quirk was nothing but the ability to make her body glow with light isn’t weak, or useless. I want to be one of the greatest and most awe-inspiring heroes the world has ever seen, using this ‘useless’ quirk.” She looked up. ”Of course I’ll keep your secret.”

”T-Thanks.” Donny mulled on what Mina was saying. He didn't know that her quirk was that weak. Her lasers hurt like hell and without her light Donny could've easily defeated her at the pipe. But he understood where she was coming from. ”Yeah… I get ya. My own quirk… Turned me into this. This thing. And all I can do is eat, eat, and eat… Just keep eating. Something like that while looking like this, you know… Not a
lot of people gave me a chance. B-B-But you Kasuke!”
Donny raised his body towards Mina. ”You… I'm glad you believe in me. And I t-t-think… Um…”

The small girl tilted her head curiously. ”Think what?”

”Well it's just that…” Donny took a deep breath and gulped. He remembered a poem he saw on the internet that he was to try recite. He felt it was appropriate right now. ”F-F-For someone like me, who tries to hide himself, I think you're more inconspicuous than me. I mean, y-y-y-you mom is a celebrity hero and no one knows who you are?” Donny chuckled and it and rubbed the back of his head. He was getting rather nervous but Donny had to press on.

”You melt into the background through a shimmer of heat on a hot summer’s night. Unnoticed by all like a candle flickering in the middle of broad daylight.” Donny felt a lump in his nonexistent throat. But he was too closed to finish just to choke up now. He somewhat stood up and slithered over next to Mina before plopping himself down.

”Yet… When you find yourself lost in darkness, when you cannot see where your path lies, how great it becomes to have even a modest glow of light burn warmly before your own eyes.” Donny looked towards Mina, a sort of shape of a head turned towards her. ”Kasuke. That is the kind of person you are.”

Mina simply smiled at this. Donny will have learned something important about Mina from that smile; she likes poetry.

Kenichi VS Fumika

Point A

Feat. @Feyblue

Kenichi landed true hero style, three-point stance. His eyes darted as he stood up, moving confidently despite the fact that he had very possibly landed himself in trouble. Lysander, Sen, the two blonde girls (twintails and ahoge, he decided), and a white-haired boy he hadn't paid much attention to where all here, and he'd landed smack dab in the middle of them. Sen, especially, was bad news--but Kenichi had already filled up his air tank on the way here, and figured he could blitz the other boy before the gas mask came off. Also, as long as his allies were in the area, maybe he'd hesitate to use his Quirk so as not to catch them in it.

Ahoge was standing in front of him, in the center of this circle. Was she their tactician, then? She seemed smart--although everybody with glasses looks smart, right?

"You're surrounded. Don't move. Please, surrender, and we won't have to hurt you."

"Where would the fun in that be?" Kenichi grinned, and swept one arm around to indicate all of them. "Come on, let's see what you guys can do!" He chambered one fist at his hip and thrust the other out across his body, before bringing the arm up and over to the other side and reversing each hand's position--a classic Hero pose.

"READY!? FAI-TO!" He shouted in campy Engrish. The battle had begun! A single instant passed, and...and...annnnnnnnd...?

...Not good, not good, not good! She couldn't give him time to move, or else he'd find her out! Unless she did something fast, he'd definitely see through her trick! She wracked her brains in a single instant, and settled on the first thing she could think of. Sen had mentioned earlier that he and this boy knew each other, right? So, he'd understand what Sen's Quirk was, and considering how his own worked... She had to hope he'd panic and retreat.

"I don't want to fight you, but if you insist...!" She said, still moving her copy's lips as best she could in sync with her own, aiming to stall for time just long enough...! A crackle of lightning flashed down the farthest strands of her left braid, and her ahoge stood sharply on end, a faint pulse of unseen energy surging out of her gleaming green eyes and into the copy of Sen, which began removing its mask as she'd recorded the real Sen do about ten minutes prior. But, of course, someone with his speed wouldn't stand and just let her attack... She'd have to intercept him! Her own copy rushed forward without missing a beat as she remembered her earlier frantic dash towards the tree, then changed the memory out for a desperately thrown punch she'd launched at Haruka during one of their training sessions. Her own copy followed through with both movements, dashing headlong towards the blue-haired boy, drawing back her fist, and aiming a sharp right hook straight for his jaw.

...Yet even before she swung, she knew.

A flurry of black, raven hair dancing in the wind, gold eyes flashing as the figure she'd been swinging at seemed to vanish into thin air.

A sudden burst of air that slammed outward in all directions, kicking up dust. Her copy's fist passed through empty space as the blue-haired blur darted to the side, heading, predictably, straight for Sen.

She'd been too slow. All she could do now was dismantle her illusion in the hopes of preserving the secret of her Quirk. The only option was to cut her losses and press on. So long as he didn't know the secret of her abilities, then maybe...! The glow of her eyes vanished as, just as her own attack had missed, the boy's own strike passed through nothing but empty air, and all four images of her team members disappeared into nothing. Her own copy hopped back into place in front of her, and she breathed a heavy sigh.

Kenichi landed somewhat awkwardly, as the image of Sen faded away. He looked down at his fist and pursed his lips. He hadn't felt any contact. He looked up at the girl, who was now alone and stressing out. Clearly she had some kind of illusion ability, but she had also tried to attack him--maybe it was like that teacher from before, only instead of duplicating herself she duplicated other people? Could she use the duplicates' Quirks? She had used four copies...but there were more than four people on Alpha team, so was that her limit? He shook his head; too much thinking, not enough doing!

"Why did you have to do that? Now you've gone and made things hard..." She whined. Her copy unconsciously mimed her own motions in the box as she began tugging at the ends of her hair, her antenna of hair drooping in dismay. He really was just as fast as Haruka? This was exactly what she'd been trying to avoid, so why did this person, of all people, having to be in this place, of all places?!

She had to think... There must have still been something, anything, she could do to follow through on her promise, right? She'd said she'd hold this point... She'd promised everyone and herself that she wouldn't be useless... So why?! Why couldn't she do something so simple as this?! This was what happened when she tried to act for herself... It would have been so much easier to take the path of least resistance, to just do what she was told knowing that nobody expected anything of her...

But then... If she didn't try her best... If she didn't give her all, could she really say she was living up to Haruka's dream? If this were Haruka in this situation, what would she do? Haruka always knew the right answer... So why couldn't she find it?! Why did everything have to be so hard...?!

"Hey, don't give up yet!" He called to her as he turned to face her, taking a brawler's stance. She seemed genuinely troubled, though if expulsion was on the line for this test he could understand that. But that was why he was here, wasn't it? "Makin' shadow clones is cool! Show me somethin' else!" A Quirk like that, creating something instead of enhancing an attribute, usually needed a charge up, right? So Kenichi struck another pose and extended one arm, giving her the Bruce Lee "come on!" gesture. "Aren't you the one that cheered with me? Let's Pass, right? Show me your spirit again!"

He couldn't make it too obvious that he was trying to give her a chance--she might take that as an insult, but L Guardian might also be watching from somewhere. So instead, with those lines that could just as easily be construed as a fight-happy challenge, he lunged forward. He covered the distance between them in the blink of an eye, then drew his arm back for a punch. But it was a haymaker, telegraphed from a mile away, and maybe by now between all his blustering she'd had time to come up with something.

He was coming again. Show him something new? How was she supposed to do that? Nothing she could create would have any effect! He was too fast... too strong... There was no way to win, was there? No matter what she tried to do, the difference between her power and his... it was too great! Her only advantage right now was that he didn't know how her Quirk worked... He didn't know... which meant it could have been anything, right? So long as she didn't show him the truth, so long as he thought that she was really out there fighting him in person, then she could at least hold him off!

But she couldn't get out of the box in order to create the signal, or else he'd discover her immediately... That meant she couldn't even call for help! Even if she did manage to send the signal for backup, then was there any guarantee she wouldn't be eliminated before help could arrive? Even if she'd said her goal was just to stall him... Did this mean she actually had to beat him or else risk total failure?

In the split second she was distracted, he suddenly sped across the distance between them, drawing back his fist and aiming a punch directly for the center of her copy. There was no time to dodge. If he hit, her copy would be utterly shattered by the force of the blow, and he'd realize that she wasn't really there to begin with. Reacting more on instinct than on conscious thought, she did the only thing she could: she closed her eyes. His wild swing shot forward and completely failed to connect with anything as his arm passed right through what he thought was Fumika, followed shortly by his body as her copy stepped through him. Fumika opened her eyes, projecting another self in front of him to block his view of the hole she was looking through, hoping he wouldn't catch a glimpse of the faint green glow in his peripheral vision before the image could take form.

...Or... wait... Did he realize? He still couldn't have known all the ins and outs of her Quirk. He'd asked her to show him something new, so then maybe...?

"I'm... I'm still going to pass!" She responded at last, trying her best to sound confident as she made her new clone parrot the act of speaking, as she had before. "After all, no matter how fast you are, it doesn't matter if you can't hit me! My Quirk also lets me change places instantly with any clone I create! Even if you figure out which one's the real one, I can just escape! In fact... What makes you think you're talking to the real me right now?" Hoping to lend credence to her spur-of-the-moment deception, she focused once more on the original copy which was now behind him, which pivoted, raising its front leg to deliver a high roundhouse kick towards the side of his head. Of course, since she'd clued him in with her boasting to the fact that she was about to attack, she had no expectations that the attack would hit, but that also meant that she knew before he even did anything that he'd try to dodge and counter! If she just blinked the moment he started moving, whatever counterattack he attempted would go through her image, making it look like her Quirk really worked the way she said it did! If she could just fool him, then maybe...!

Kenichi's head whipped around when the girl in front of him implied she wasn't the one to worry about. Sure enough, her second clone threw out a kick, and the blue-hair barely had time to throw himself backward like he was playing a game of Limbo. As her kick passed over him, scraping his face just above one eye, he reached back to brace both hands on the ground and back flipped a short distance away to get out from between the two.

"Nice shot!" he said as he stood up, wiping the dust from his hands on the gym pants. "Although if it weren't for these tracksuits, it'd be nice pantsu instead, huh?" He gave her a prankster's grin.

But, being able to create duplicates and switch between them...that was a tough one, even if she couldn't match him blow for blow. He could keep going for a while, but he wasn't quite a marathon-runner yet. He would have to keep this from turning into a battle of attrition. So either figure out the real one...or take them both out at once!

"I'm guessing the phasing earlier was cause I either attacked the wrong one, or that was the moment of the switch. But you did it right before my punch, and with that Copy Sen earlier both clones moved at once when you went for an interception!" He lowered himself to the ground, again in that three point runner's stance, no doubt preparing for a charge at max speed. "So even though I'm faster, you're reading me and predicting where I'll be beforehand--trying to get into position before I've even kicked off." He grinned wolfishly. "That's great! You're either great at thinking on your feet, or you've got experience dealing with self-enhancers like me. But...that just means instead of racing you, I have to race your thoughts."

He started to suck in a deep breath, the vacuum whirring to life. This might be an excellent chance to attack, during his "charge up" sequence, but what if he saw that the wind wouldn't move her copies' hair or clothing? For someone with such long hair that'd be noticeable unless they were completely blind, and then he'd figure her out! And...racing her thoughts? The electrical impulses in the human brain did move at measurable speeds...could he really be that fast?

It was fortunate for Fumika that, once created, her copies retained the physical properties of the original. Her images' hair was just as loose and free to move as her own was, even without her willing it to move in a specific way. When the shockwave was created, thus, there was no indicator of which one was real or not. However, this was as far as her luck went.

Kenichi finished his breathing, closing his mouth and drawing his head back--then instead of actually kicking off, he exhaled. It was loud, louder than his sneeze in the classroom, and aimed at the ground in front of him. It kicked up a dust cloud headed towards the two clones, loose dirt turning everything different shades of brown. But he hadn't blown hard enough to knock them over, or shoot any rocks or debris at them, so why--

He burst through the cloud from a completely different direction than the one she'd seen him in last, and while it wasn't literal thought-speed he was going fast. With the clones still relatively close together, he had shot at them in a straight line, but both hands were extended. It wasn't a punch, but a grab--he was going to try and snatch each one of them by the arm as he shot through!

Whichever one is still in my grip after I shoot out the other side of the cloud is the real one! thought Kenichi.

Since she could no longer see anything except the vague outlines of her copies in the rapidly approaching dust cloud, she had no idea which direction the boy would attack from, or when he'd make his move. He'd correctly guessed that she wasn't reacting to his attacks, but rather was predicting when he'd swing and "dodging" accordingly. With no way to do that, once again her only option was to dismantle her copies, wait for the smoke to clear, and then create more. But this time, she hadn't thought quite fast enough. With his increased speed, he slammed into both her copies just as she gave the order to disintegrate them... which meant that he managed to catch hold of both of them, and then they both disintegrated in his hands, breaking apart into faintly glowing "dust."

Speaking of dust, though, there was another factor she hadn't accounted for. The cloud was now washing directly over her hiding spot, forcing her to draw back from the hole and rub at her eyes to clear them. She found her breath momentarily choked by bits of dirt and debris, and then, she did the worst possible thing.

Without a single copy to mask her real location, she coughed, the sound echoing in the small storage crate.

In that moment, all her hopes fell.

She'd failed. He knew where she really was, and how her Quirk really worked.

There was no chance of winning anymore, or even of stalling him. She might as well have just given up. And yet, she couldn't bring herself to do so. Even knowing there was no chance of winning, still half-blinded by the dust, she did the only thing she could do.

She jumped to her feet, and charged straight into the unlatched back of the crate, swinging it open as she rushed out. She gave a wordless yell of desperation, leaping at her enemy from behind. She'd seen the stance he took when about to move - his Quirk could only boost his speed if he was allowed to properly balance himself out and work up to a sprint! If she could just knock him off his feet before he could accelerate, maybe she'd have a chance to keep him from dodging! Above all else... even if she was going to lose... Couldn't she at least hit him once?!

"Gotcha!" Kenichi shouted as he felt contact--with both hands? He exited the dust cloud with a trail of what seemed like glitter falling from his hands, and looked down at his palms in confusion. They were both clones? Had the real one predicted him again, made a new copy and hidden? Or had they both been fake from the start? How far could she actually get from her copies?

Someone coughed inside that metal crate. Kenichi's brain was still racing, and his reaction to the sound was slow. He was turning as Fumika burst out, and because of that exhalation and that burst of speed his breathing was slightly off, his speed lowered for just long enough. Her seemingly delicate fist slammed into his jaw with a distinctive half-slap half-thud, knocking him two steps backwards as his brain rattled in its pan.

Then he steadied himself and looked up, blood trickling down his chin from a split lip. Once again that canine smile flashed.

"Yeah, bring it!" He stepped forward and brought his own fist to bear, a mix between a low uppercut and a body hook. But despite now going for a all-in brawl, Kenichi wasn't letting himself loose just yet. He had to hold back a bit to make sure he didn't severely hurt her, but if he could knock the breath out of her she'd go down for a little while. Hitting her in the face would risk breaking her glasses and cutting or blinding her, and he didn't want to try grappling her and accidentally break or dislocate something.

Despite his advantages, however, Fumika still had a chance--Kenichi wasn't a martial artist, he relied solely on instinct and natural strength. He punched when it made sense to punch and ducked when it made sense to duck--and he had a good "sense"--but there wasn't any real technique there and despite moving so fast when he fought it looked like he planted his feet, instead of bouncing like a boxer or Bruce Lee. Could she outwit him? Was she the better technical fighter, good enough to overcome raw power?

As she'd thought. Although his top speed might have been as fast as Haruka, unlike her, he couldn't accelerate instantly to his full velocity. Even if it only took him about a second to accelerate, he needed to balance himself very carefully first, instead of just leaping straight at her. That meant... That meant she had a decisive "tell" of when exactly he used his powers!

The green glow surrounding her eyes - something which all of her copies had very distinctly lacked, as she'd seen no need to replicate the tells of her own Quirk when she was specifically trying to mislead him - had since faded to a dull static hue as her powers went unused. The bar around her head had already faded almost a fourth of the way, however... She needed to find some way to end this before she drained herself completely. Even so, she knew one of his limits. She'd hit him once. She could do it again.

"Bring it." With those self-assured words, the blue-haired boy lunged at her again, but, with little distance between them, he couldn't make much use of his speed. She didn't like the way he spoke... It was as if, like herself, he realized he'd already won. So he knew she was useless in a fight, too... She could feel something burning in her chest. Something that she hadn't felt before, in as long as she remembered. This sensation didn't tell her how, or even why. But all she knew was that, for the first time since her arrival at Komei, she wanted something.

She wanted to win.

There wasn't time to think about it. She had to act. His violent blow whipped towards her gut from the side, and she could feel the air whistling around it. She definitely didn't want to be there when that landed. Her eyes flashed, and right in front of her, another one of herself took form, arms crossed over her body in a "blocking" stance, and feet firmly planted. It wouldn't be enough, of course. One punch like that, and her projection would shatter like glass. But, if it could just take the hit and then break harmlessly apart, his momentum would be spent! At the same moment, she shifted her weight onto her left foot, turning out of the way of his punch as she did so, then drawing back her right foot and bringing it up in a spinning kick straight for his gut, aiming to pass clear through the disintegrating copy right as his punch landed, arc under his upraised arm, and hit him dead on. Of the two of them, she was taller, and her legs were a lot longer than his arms could reach. Even if she didn't have any formal training, seeing Haruka use this exact same strategy against her had shown her its effectiveness. If she could just keep him at a short distance away from her, she could turn his attacks aside and counterattack from out of his range!

Kenichi's fist turned the newly made clone into another shimmering cloud, and he blinked reflexively even though the glittering dust didn't have a physical form to blind him. Fumika's kick hit him hard in the abdomen, and one of his feet slid backward just a few inches. He couldn't let her hammer his body--one good shot to the diaphragm and he wouldn't be able to control his Quirk! But he'd grown up knowing that, had flexed his core to harden muscles, and managed to power through her kick with a grunt.

Gotta press in, stop these kicks! And if I'm close enough the copies can't get between us!

As her foot withdrew he stepped in, risking a fast left jab at her face--it might bloody her nose but hopefully wouldn't break the glasses. She might even dodge or block it, but the follow-up was what was important--another low right hook at her ribs. In between the blows he inhaled through his nose, whistling like a tea-kettle...

Overbalanced by her initial strike, Fumika stepped back, trying to regain her footing. Unfortunately, although she'd been able to copy Haruka's technique, she wasn't nearly as skilled with it, and nearly toppled herself just by landing her kick. Consequently, she hardly had so much as a second before her enemy, infinitely more used to taking hits than she herself was, lunged in with a one-two punch combo. Panicking, Fumika ducked, and the first blow went high, barely missing her head. However, stuck in a low crouch, there was no way for her to escape the second blow, and there wasn't enough space to project anything to stop it. With only one option left to her, she forced herself upward as fast as she could. If she could just tackle him before he could fully extend his arm, she could get in too close for him to hit her with any significant force! She leaped to her feet, and-

The air parted as his fist slammed headlong into her gut, far faster and harder than she'd expected. Still mid-leap, Fumika was picked bodily up off the ground and sent flying several feet backwards, her breath choking in her throat as the wind was forcibly pushed out of her lungs. She slammed down into the ground hard, rolling once, then twice, and then skidding to a stop. She uttered a quiet groan as she forced herself up on all fours, waves of pain radiating outward from her stomach and into her every extremity. In a daze, she looked around, but everything suddenly seemed blurred. Her glasses... They must have fallen off when she'd hit the ground. There was no time to look for them. Her dimming eyes flashed again, and a new pair appeared already on her face as she staggered to her feet, coughing several times as she tried to get the dust she'd unconsciously inhaled out of her throat.

No time... There was no time... He'd gotten a distance between them again! He could accelerate at will, and finish her off while her head was still spinning! She had to move, had to get away. He was going to hit her again, so she needed to run! Get some distance, escape, catch her breath, find something, anything! What could she even do against a power like that?! There had to be something she'd forgotten, something she was still missing! It hurt. She was scared. Why was she still fighting?! Why was she putting herself through this, even knowing it was hopeless?

Why was it that no matter how much it hurt, it still wasn't as painful as losing?

As she struggled to get her bearings back, her blurry vision could only make out the dark silhouette of her opponent even with the copy glasses. He started to crouch again, his breaths getting deeper...

Then he stood up and brushed something off against his gym jacket, before walking back towards her. As her senses finally came back into focus, Kenichi handed her the glasses she'd dropped.

"They're not broken, I don't think." He actually looked kind of worried. "You alright? I didn't wanna break bones or nothin', but when you run into it like that it's hard to pull back. Still though..." He shook his head with the kind of sigh someone makes when they can't believe what they've seen.

"Goddamn. I might be a bigger musclehead, but when it comes to a Hero's Courage you've got me beat!" He crossed his arms, standing Gunbuster style again, and smiled at her--not the big goofy grin, or the beastly one that made him frightening, but just a genuine smile. "Awesome job, Ahoge-chan! If you still wanna go, feel free to come at me!"

What even was this? She was wide open. He easily could have landed another hit then and there, and she'd have been down for the count. And yet, he was just stopping to chat? She'd known he wasn't taking her seriously, but this... It was obvious. He knew that he didn't need to rush to beat her, because he could do it at any time. It wasn't just that she wasn't a threat, but rather... she wasn't even on his radar!

"Come on, Fumi, are you even trying?"

She reached out, snatching up her glasses even as the fakes she'd hastily created disappeared and sliding them back into place. He was right in his analysis of her, of course. There wasn't any way she could win. She wasn't as fast, wasn't as strong... the fact that she'd even hit him at all... what could she call that but a fluke?

"Give it your all! If you don't come at me with everything you've got, then you're letting yourself down!"

He was right, so why... why did that make her feel so... so...!? She bit down hard on her lip, the breaths she'd struggled for a moment prior growing quicker as her eyes flashed, the green light within them shifting to crimson and sparking back to life with redoubled brilliance. "I told them..." The rope of the crane, swaying in the wind. A particularly large crate standing up-ended off to one side of the large courtyard. A large wooden pallet, propped against a half-constructed wall. A set of steel support beams, lying scattered at the foot of the large crane. The red bar around her head faded a little further as her eyes darted back and forth, then shifted back to burning green.

"I told them I'd stay here. I told them they could count on me..." She tugged on her hair much more violently this time, unable so much as to stop her legs from shaking as she spoke. "I was wrong... I was completely wrong... I even lied about my Quirk, because I knew that otherwise, I didn't have a chance..." Her hands clenched into fists, nearly ripping her hair from her scalp before she froze, slowly releasing her grip. "I hate lying, but I lied to everyone. I hate not knowing what to do, but I chose anyway, knowing I was wrong..." The way she spoke, she sounded as if she was on the verge of tears, and yet, more than anything, she seemed... angry? No, it was more like she was furious at this point...!

Kenichi took a step back unconsciously; oh geez, he'd made her cry! He didn't mean to hit her that hard...or was it something he'd said or done? His brow furrowed with concern as he let his arms drop to his sides and listened to her. Lying? Wrong choices? He didn't really know this girl or her story, but he was starting to feel like he had done something wrong without knowing what, something that had inadvertently hurt her...

"But I still... I'm still going to pass..." She repeated her earlier "boast," rubbing her eyes with her sleeve. Whatever tears she might have shed were gone now, replaced by a glare of burning determination. "I'll beat you here, and pass!" With these words, the pain in her stomach seemed to fade, replaced by a burning fire in her chest. Her Quirk wasn't useful in a fight. She herself wasn't super fast, or super strong, or anything of the sort. Her only advantage was the ability to use others' power to cover for her own weakness. And yet, if she did that here... What would be the point?! She wasn't here to watch other heroes in action, but rather... She raised a single fist and pointed to the sky, a pose no-doubt familiar to the boy who had just done the same in his speech earlier that day.

"A fake won't beat you. Nobody else's power is going to win this fight. The only one who's going to defeat you... is me!"

Kenichi looked at her seriously. He wasn't trying to give her a mean glare, or a dumb grin of encouragement. He decided that maybe all the things he'd said that he thought were encouraging, maybe she took them another way. Maybe by giving her time to show off her Quirk, by holding back, he'd done something to insult her. Maybe she thought he was looking down on her. He wanted to tell her that he thought her power was really cool, that just cause she wasn't some brute like him that didn't mean she didn't belong here. He wanted to tell her that there was no need to feel so badly about things even if she lost; they weren't supposed to be fighting for their lives, here. But he didn't say any of that, because this girl was serious, and she had something that she needed to prove to herself.

So he looked at her seriously, took a brawler's stance with fists raised. He sucked air through his nose with that high pitched whistling, like a small-scale jet engine revving up. His skin flushed, red veins standing out against pink muscle. When he spoke, his voice wasn't as loud and energetic as before.

"Okay. Let's give it our all!"

Logically speaking, she had no chance. Without copying the powers of others and hiding behind them, all she had to rely on was her own memories the objects at her disposal. But she still wanted to win. So it was that at some point, Fumika lost sight of her original objective, replaced by one singular goal.

She would win this fight, and she'd win it with her own power.

Point C - Battle Training

Coughing slightly, Sen hooked one leg over the bed of the truck and lifted himself off and onto the ground, leaving little yellow wisps in his wake. He couldn’t see much with all the dust in the air, but he called out to to his teammate. [b]Hell of an entrance, Jett.[b]

Jett chuckled. “Thank you Sen.” He said, calling back to him. He held his head up proudly for a moment before looking behind him to see how Reina was holding up. He gave a smile, “How you holding up Reina?”

The girl gave him a small—but noticeably wry—smirk. ”Fine,” she said, pushing down the passenger seat in front of her to exit the cab. Her heart pounded as she stepped out, and slipped on the gas mask, knowing the training had already begun. The moment both her feet hit the dirt, a feather cutting through the air landed with a quiet thud in the ground a meter away from her, causing the already nervous girl to jump and instinctively use her quirk to suddenly repel her surroundings. Dirt kicked away in a circle around her, and the truck she had just been in lurched and skidded a few feet away. More feathers began to rain down, their trajectory being adjusted away from her by her inverted gravitational well.

This sudden lurch and push of the gravity caused Jett to slam into his door, knocking his head against the glass. Grunting in pain he shook his head once the truck moving. What...what the hell was that… He looked around and realized Reina was standing opposite of where the truck moved, it had to have been her, but why… A steel feather suddenly shot into the windshield, cracking it, just in front of Jett's face. Oh… that’s why. Jett gulped as if it hadn’t been for that windshield, it would have struck him between the eyes.

Sen ended up staggering away from the truck as it was shoved by what seemed to be an invisible hand. He stumbled to land on one knee as what seemed to be feathers rained down from above. One struck the ground in front of him and he instinctively threw his arms above his head to shield himself. A feather sliced the side of his forearm, drawing a line of blood. Another lodged itself about an inch into his shoulder, having been slowed down from Reina’s quirk. Even so, he still let out an elegant ”Son of a fuck!” Sen dove towards the truck while dislodging the feather in his shoulder, he stayed with his back pressed against the vehicle until the feathers stopped falling. ”Looks like bird-boy is here too. How do we handle this?” He asked urgently, gripping his now bleeding shoulder.

Reina turned sharply, staring with wide eyes at the truck she had moved and the two boys she had thrown. Her voice caught in her throat, she couldn’t even apologize though her mind screamed at her to do so. Worthless! No, she was even worse than that right now...

Her gaze shifted suddenly at the vehicle that narrowly missed their truck, heart leaping again. Had she almost pushed them into it?...

The panic and guilt of the situation gripped her. Loud creaking and crashing to the right of their truck caught the girl’s attention, her neck snapping again to stare through the thinning cloud of dust they were in. A crane was sliding down one of the hills, displacing large chunks of rock and debris and tumbling them down towards them.

Reina was no longer aware of her own thought process—only what she wanted. Through her panic, the girl took off towards the debris. Stop it from hurting anyone. Somehow. Her quirk could do it. She just had to use it to a tenth of its potential. Somehow.

Jett looked over to Sen as he cursed, seeing him dive for the truck, with a feather in his shoulder. Damn… It was definitely that bird man, He was going to have to deal with him…as he was the only one who could get close to him. Looking around he noticed the cloud starting to clear up, Suddenly a massive truck rolled by, just barely scraping the drivers side hood of the truck. Thankfully, perhaps Reina’s quirk helped with that as well...but who knew, that was besides the point now. If he remembered there were a few more vehicles on those mounds, If they sent one...they probably sent others. “What the hell!?’” he yelled to himself. Were they trying to kill them? If that truck hit, it would have done serious damage.

His eyes narrowed as he started to see a silhouette of a girl with a shield. He remembered her from the start of school, when she took a direct hit from that massive guard. The fact she was moving into the dust cloud when there was a truck that could possibly run her over… probably meant she didn’t have to worry about it. In that case… He looked over to Reina only to catch her running towards….oh fuck was that a crane falling over?!
“REINA!!!!”
He yelled, but she apparently was ignoring him as she ran directly to the falling crane. He hesitated….but figured after a moment with her quirk she….should be able to handle it… he had to trust her. Grinding his teeth he looked forward again and glared at the girl. It had to be her...and that stupid bird.

He kicked open his door and looked directly at Sen,
“Get in!”
He growled. He knew it was dangerous for him, but hopefully he wouldn’t need to stay in the truck for that long.

Sen paused for a second to look up at their opponent, confirming it was Acion before he took a deep breath and held it, then jumped into the passenger seat of the truck.

Jett smiled confidently at Sen, “ Get ready to breathe when I tell you to, alright?” Throwing it into first gear. Sen nodded, wondering what the plan was but at the same time trusting his teammate.

He let the clutch go as the truck lurched into gear towards Mamoru. He then slammed on the gas, dirt flying as the engine redlined and slowly gained momentum. He turned his wheel to go around the girl…

Acion had finished his attack, and was beginning to steadily regain altitude. He soon reached the initial height of the first attack. There, he began to regrow the lost feathers. It surely was a lot easier and much less energy consuming than having to grow back the entire wing if he ever lost one. He could do this again and again a dozen times before he grew exhausted.

He examined the battlefield around C again. His visibility was yet to be cleared, the cloud was still thick. But he could see silhouettes beginning to appear in his fovea. A few students, along with a truck. Glancing back at his team, he did notice Mamoru trying to push a bunch of vehicles down into their position, barely missing the team’s vehicle.
‘That girl…’

That was a little bit excessive. That wasn’t necessary for a mock battle.

He would have to remark that on her later, otherwise some unnecessary casualties would occur sooner or later.

Acion looked at the truck, as their team began to take shelter inside the truck. This made things difficult. From this point onwards, he was not able to gauge the inertia level of his feathers accurately anymore. If he threw his feathers with maximum force, it might cut through that truck, leading to potential serious injuries or even deaths. He wouldn’t want that, ever. That would be a huge betrayal to his own spiritual ideology. Besides, Mamoru appeared to be engaging them as well, thus increasing the chance of friendly fire. Therefore, he decided to wait instead, his senses sharpened for any battlefield changes. If there were any slightest distress at any point on the battlefield, he would be able to rush there immediately.

Despite the dust and the dirt being flung around, Mamoru had a general idea of where Team Alpha was at thanks to all the shouting they were doing. Thus following their voices allowed Mamoru to see the shape of the truck they took, as well as a few others going in and out of it. She couldn’t tell who was who or how many there were but it didn’t matter. She heard the truck’s engine roar as it launched towards her. Just as Mamoru had hoped.

Mamoru’s plan would’ve been to tackle the truck with her shield and stop the vehicle dead on. This plan probably would’ve worked better if they didn’t already spot her, which she guessed they did if they were driving straight towards her. More importantly however, Mamoru noticed a glint off the windshield which as the truck grew nearer, revealed that it was one of Acion’s feathers. He must have somehow damaged the windshield which gave Mamoru an idea. Probably not a good idea. But an idea.

As the trucks was just seconds away from impacting Mamoru, she did not stand her ground. Mostly because the truck was actually trying to steer away from her so standing still would just make the truck avoid her, which she didn’t want. Instead she’d intercept the truck by diving right in front of the windshield. In that moment Mamoru had to act instantly: raising her arm just inches away from the damaged windshield, Mamoru summoned her Aegis to her arm. There wasn’t quite enough space for her shield, meaning that it was going to have to break something. Ideally, the windshield. And toss Mamoru’s body into the cab.

Jett let out a curse as he saw the girl DID NOT jump in front of the truck like he planned. He quickly yelled “FUCK IT, BREATH!” Just before Mamoru hit the windshield he ducked taking in a large breath…

When the window exploded, broken glass peppered and cut his face as Mamoru came barging through, shield first. The weapon Mamoru used to smash the window clipped his head, pushing him to the side and making him hit his head again on the window of the truck. The shock caused him to let out the breath he had been holding and a large cloud was expelled from his lips, filling the cab. Sen was unable to move, seeing as there was now a girl where empty space used to be. His forehead was bleeding heavily from the shield and his face had cuts from the glass she had broken.

Jett suddenly appeared outside the vehicle, black smoke wisping around him as he just managed to teleport before that crazy girl flew through the window, he landed wrong and rolled on the ground, grunting as he did. The truck had stopped dead in its tracks. Confused No way that truck should have stopped… that girl flew in through the window. Shaking his head he ran over to the truck to see if Sen was ok. He looked bad, with his face all cut up from the glass. He waited a moment as the gas filled the cab before touching Sen and teleporting him out, with a black cloud of smoke coming from him now laying on the ground. Leaving the girl in the truck.

He then closed his eyes and held his breath as he reached into the cab and grabbed the radio. Pulling it out as quickly as he could and stepped back as far as it would let him and clicked the speaker,
“HEY!! TEACHER! ANYBODY!? WE NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION ON CHARLIE RIGHT AWAY!”
It was a longshot, but he figured since it was a training ground, the frequencies of the radio would be monitored. He waited for a moment and tried again,
“Can anyone hear me?!”
He looked down at Sen.. Fuck… what the hell was that girls problem?!

Yoshida sensei watched the recklessness going on at C, “These kids have good power but are using it recklessly”. Their quirks could prove useful but the way they applicated them was rather dangerous. L guardian pressed a button to call for the nurse, “We need medical assistance at training ground echo”. He then came over the intercom “Sen Kimoto and Mamoru Akasha are no longer in condition for battle, Medical assistance will be on the way shortly”. Damn kids, Akihito left the building quickly entering a jeep positioned outside the building he observed from.

Acion watched the entire thing unravel in such a quick pace that even himself could not react on time. He didn’t even realize what the heck was going on until Jett’s cry for help rang out loudly.
‘Medical attention?’

Something very serious must have happened.

Almost without any hesitation, he dived towards the sound of the cry for help. As he got closer to the ground, he was met with no resistance, nor any retaliation, as things were too hectic for the battle to continue on. And there, he saw the man lying motionless on the ground, his head, his shoulder bloodied. Acion’s eyes widened with shock.

Meanwhile, Reina stood on shaking legs, now in the path of the small crane-caused avalanche, a dozen meters down the hill from it. Her brow furrowed as she exerted herself, using her quirk to repel again, stronger than before now that she was focused on it. It wouldn’t be enough, that much was immediately clear. Most objects too heavy, too much momentum behind them. At best she’d push them away and spread them, but not stop them from going down. Something else. Her quirk could do it. I’m the problem.

The avalanche—noticeably slower now, objects being pushed and spread to move around her—was nearly on her. It was slightly less terrifying than it had been, but if Reina had been able to ponder the situation she had thrown herself into, she would be worried for the state of her heart. She stepped quickly to the side to slip between two larger pieces of debris, and then again dove to the ground to avoid another. The smaller pieces were kept away by her quirk.

There, she had gotten through it. Rolling onto her back, she sat up to look down the hill, immediately changing her quirk from repelling to pulling as hard as she could. The girl yelled out from the massively sudden exertion, grinding her teeth together to muffle herself as she covered her head. She threw her body forward, letting herself tumble down the hill after the debris, keeping herself as close to it all as possible, so the force of her quirk had maximum effect on it. Smaller pieces of rubble began to batter her painfully, sticking to her, but she kept pulling and pulling, trying to see through the dirt that covered the gas mask.

The sound that had been deafening her died out. After a moment of hesitation, the girl let go of her quirk, the relief from doing so instantly flooding her. Breathing heavy, she dropped her arms and tore off her mask as she watched some of the rubble—now nearly at the bottom of the hill—slide a few more feet before stopping again silently, no longer under the effect of her quirk.

She could only stare in disbelief for a long moment. Her eyes narrowed as she drew the only logical conclusion she could make. It wasn’t her that had stopped the rubble. Anyone with this quirk could have done the same… It was nothing to be proud of.

Still, she at least felt relieved to have not completely messed up.

Reina stood up, coughing as she did her best to wipe some of the dirt that caked her off with her hands, wincing slightly as she brushed the dozens of quickly developing bruises. She glanced towards the center, open area of C, seeing the conflict that was occurring there. Heart kick-starting again, she forced herself to move on her unsteady legs, driven by the worry brought on from Jett’s call for help.

Jett had let out a small sigh of relief hearing L Guardian on the intercom, suddenly Bird man had appeared out of nowhere, his eyes wide with shock at seeing Sen on the ground. He clenched his fist, ready to punch someone for a moment before hearing suddenly the loud crash of the crane coming down causing him to jump in his own skin. “Reina!!!” He screamed. He looked over towards where she had ran to… he couldn’t see anything except for the cloud of dust that came from the avalanche. ‘ No… Not Reina as well!?’ Jett thought to himself no… she’s ok… she has to be.’ he forced himself to think. But he couldn’t run to see if she was. He had to wait by Sen till help arrived.

The guy’s scream once again enabled the six-winged man to sharpen his sense and logic.
‘Another one hurt?!’
Oh come on!
This is training, not a killing field!
Again, without any slightest hint of hesitation, Acion dashed for the sight of the debris, his wings opened widely. The only difference was that he was flying uphill at low altitude. He might not be able to see things clearly this way, but luckily, he caught the identity of the girl that he was supposed to find. Her leg was shaking, her posture was unsteady. She was caught in that avalanche for sure.

“Reina!”

He approached her flying, landed when he was right in front of her.

“Are you alright? I’ll get you back.”

The girl glanced to the winged boy who called her by name. After getting over the mild surprise of that, she simply gave him a thumbs-up, though her worry deepened—he was on Delta, so why was he offering to help her? Even from the little she knew of the boy, she felt confident that he wasn’t deceiving her to make her drop her guard... which meant something serious had happened. ”I’m fine. Thank you.” She glanced away, not wanting to burden him with having to carry her... but getting back to the others as fast as possible was important, so she nodded.

As he was granted her permission, Acion simply offered her hand for her to take it. After she held onto it, he flapped his wings for a takeoff, although this time, it required more efforts for him to do so. And for some reasons, he felt a strange gravitational pull towards Reina. But still, she wasn’t so heavy for him to have much difficulties lifting off the ground.

The flight was short, but long enough for him to have a small exchange with her.

“Sen’s heavily injured. We were a little reckless. So we might have to call this off.”

Reina held on tightly, the flight making her stomach turn a bit, though they weren’t very high in the air. She gave a small “Mhm,” in response. She could see the smashed truck well enough. A little reckless?...” She remembered the driver-less vehicle that had almost hit the truck just after the rain of feathers. It must have had been rolled down another hill, like the crane had. She understood playing to win as well as anyone else, but that seemed... extreme, for an ambush during training. She frowned to herself.

Energy level 50%
Roy had been absorbing energy the whole time, by the time he opened his eyes and was ready his team was completely gone. Kenichi had dashed completely across grounds to point A, Donny headed to point B, and the remaining went to point C. Point C to check it out and see who is there or straight to point A, Point A was rather far and would take him a much longer time. "Point C it is." He made a fast jog towards c, it was half a mile from his location so it wouldn't take too long, about 5 minutes.

Jett didn’t have to wait long as L Guardian pulled up in his jeep a few minutes after he had spoke on the intercom.

He exited the jeep, as well as grabbing a first aid kit from the back.
Yoshida sensei opened the first aid kit and grabbed some ointment as well as bandage wrap for the boys arm and head. That paralysis is pesky, L guardian activated his quirk and sent his sentinel over to patch up the boy. He applied ointment to the wounded areas before wrapping bandages around it, the guardian then picked up the young boy and carried him to the back of the jeep while Yoshida Grabbed Mamoru. To everyone else it looked pretty much like a joke, as Sen was basically floating in the air, Yoshida sensei hopped back into the car. “Carry on” he said before driving off towards the training grounds exit.

Jett looked at the teacher as he got in his jeep and drove off with an odd look. What? “CARRY ON?” What the hell? He wasn’t going to reprimand this dumb chick? Disqualify her? He let out a growl and looked back into the truck. Well she had to have been hurt jumping through a damn windshield. Shaking his head he turned to start making his way towards the Avalanche to see if Reina was ok.

Acion noted that L Guardian had just left the area not very long ago, leaving behind a very messy ground at C. Well? What do you expect? Now Sen’s literally out, and Mamoru’s also knocked out cold. And the remnants of the two teams could only stood there and look at each other doing nothing. There’s no way people would be able to continue after seeing someone critically injured in a training. Yes a training, not a real life battle.

Dear God...

How could this happen?

Acion could sense their demoralization, so he simply put Reina softly on the ground, knowing that she was bruised all over her from that damn avalanche. And then he landed on the ground next to her as well and stood there, his face serious over what just happened.

Reina’s frown only deepened as she took a step forward, still entirely unsure what had happened to Sen. She glanced to Jett, unsure how to word the question she wanted to ask properly.

"Is... Sen going to be all right?” The fact that he had been immediately taken away was a bad sign. But with the resources Komei must have for the care of their students, such a quick response also meant he would be getting good help fast.

When Jett saw Reina he let an audible sigh a relief escape his lips. But then he simply nodded.” Yeah, he should be fine...I mean, L Guardian didn’t seem too concerned.” He said looking back at the dust trail the jeep left behind. Looking back to her. “I’m just glad to see you are ok.” He added with a smile.

He looked to the bird guy. “Thanks for going to go look for her.”

Reina just shrugged and looked away, not very comfortable with having another worry for her. A thought crossed her mind, and with it a very light, shameful blush. “Oh, um... sorry about earlier... when I pushed you and Sen...” she half-mumbled.

He shrugged back at her. “Don't worry about it, I know you didn’t mean to do it on purpose...You more than made up for protecting us from that crane debri. I don't think we would have made it out of there if you didn't slow it down. That was pretty bad ass.” He said, trying to cheer her up.

The girl just shrugged again and looked away, but this time with the faintest hint of a smile on her lips and red on her cheeks.

Kenichi VS Fumika

FINALE

Point A

Feat. @Zeroth

Fumika braced herself, the brilliant green glow of her eyes rising to a fever pitch, and then...

Her opponent's only warning was a shadow suddenly being cast over his head as a new projection took form there. But, unlike her earlier usage of her Quirk, this wasn't just a clone, but rather-

A giant metal shipping crate appeared mere inches above him and immediately began to fall, and yet, as soon as it had appeared, Fumika shut her eyes tightly. The image continued in its motion in the absence of a guiding signal, but without any of its original mass or weight behind it. The intangible crate fell to cover the blue-haired boy completely quite literally in the blink of an eye, and the moment it stopped moving, Fumika opened her eyes again. The crate once more became solid, with her target now suddenly entrapped at its center.

...But even if this was an impressive trick, she couldn't keep it up for long - certainly not long enough to disqualify him. The sheer mass of the object was draining her energy at a tremendous rate, meaning she'd only have a few seconds before she'd have to dismiss it, or else risk burning herself out almost immediately. But, then again, a few seconds was all she needed! She sprinted to the left, then turned sharply, rushing in towards the box from the side. Right before she hit it, she blinked, and the projection flickered once more into intangibility, allowing her free passage through. Within the darkness of the crate, the boy wouldn't be able to see anything until she was already upon him, but Fumika had no such difficulty. Since he was already surrounded by her particles, the returning signal from her projection told her exactly where he was! Thus, blinking through the formerly-solid wall of the crate, she dive-tackled him, dismissing the projection as she did so and causing the box to shatter into dust around them. If she could just knock him to the ground and get in close on top of him, then she could keep him from bringing his speed and power to bear. Then, maybe, she could...!

They collided amidst the glittering cloud, but as Fumika's arms closed around his torso Kenichi instinctively leaned into the contact as he turned. He was shorter than her, so his center of gravity was lower, and he was heavier. He moved two quick steps without losing his balance completely, and once he brought his own muscle into the struggle the girl had no chance--he grabbed her forearms and pried her off of him with an iron grip, before pushing her away as he lunged backwards. As soon as he landed he leaned forward and dashed again, straight back at her.

"Jet Hound!"

It was just a lunging punch, but the air whipping around him gave it a howl befitting the name. Still though, the attack was one-dimensional, completely straight forward--!

Fumika gave a sharp cry as she was flung bodily backward once more, but this time, she still had her wits about her. Rolling with the impact as she hit the ground, she broke her fall and came up in a crouch... Just in time to see her blue-haired adversary launch his own attack. By the time she could comprehend the course taken by the blow, it was already too late to dodge. But, she'd still saved a recording just for this purpose! Her eyes flashed brilliantly as, right in the way of her adversary's blow, the heavy wooden pallet she'd recorded earlier appeared, standing upright in front of her for a split second. At the same time, she forced herself to her feet, as if preparing to take his blow head on.

The upper half of the wooden barrier was shattered to pieces in an instant, but this time, her creation was a bit more durable than before. The lower half didn't immediately disintegrate, but rather, remained intact for just long enough to get under his feet as he was carried forward by the force of his blow. At the same time, his fist passed through the disintegrating debris, once again headed right for her gut just like the last blow that had nearly crippled her. But... she'd seen this attack before! She twisted her body ever-so-slightly to the right, raising her left arm as she did so. She could feel his fist grazing across her side, his knuckles all but cutting into her like a blade as part of her tracksuit was ripped away by the sheer force of the air passing by her. She gritted her teeth and endured the pain as best she could. If she hesitated, then she'd only be dragged down with him, but... if her timing was perfect...!

Her arm wrapped down and around his, catching his outstretched wrist between her elbow and hip as she completed her turn. If the rubble she'd left beneath him had tripped him up, then he'd be barreling forward at full speed. Which meant that she didn't have to overpower him... She just had to redirect his momentum! She stepped past his center of mass, spinning violently as she did so and releasing his arm. Giving a wordless yell, she exerted all the force she could must to fling him bodily past her, straight towards a half-completed wall.

Kenichi hit the wall with the flat of his back, smashing right through a sheet of plaster and a timber frame in a cloud of dust. He rolled over one shoulder and came up on one knee, quickly gauging his condition. Bloody lip, scrape on the forehead, some cuts on his arm where he'd smashed through the pallet, general pain all over where that impact just now had spread out. Nothing too bad yet, and he only had to get her once! He jumped straight up, grabbing the lip of the wall and pulling himself up on top of the frame. As much as he hated to hit her too hard, he'd have to up the power to make sure he could go through whatever barrier she used next fast enough to make contact.

From up top he found her again with no problems, then with a quick breath he pushed off the wall. The half-finished construction broke off halfway down from the force his legs put on it, but by the time it collapsed into a pile of rubble he was off like a gunshot. He turned a flip in the air and leveled out with a flying, Kamen Rider style kick, coming straight at Fumika.

"Jet Eagle!"

The second attack was as unreasonable as the first. But this time, the way he moved was more familiar...

A dark shape rebounded violently off the large oak tree, the branch shattering beneath her feet as she kicked off, flipping midair to bring down a mighty kick that could split rock. "HARUKAZE HAMMER!" With this roar, the strike came down fast - far too fast to avoid. Fumika was slammed into the ground by the shockwave alone, and by the time she managed to regain her senses, her opponent was already standing over her, signaling the end of the match...

Not this time. That technique was strong, but it had weaknesses, too. He had to alter his trajectory in mid-air, which meant that he needed to leap in an arc rather than a straight line. To get the right distance, he couldn't use his full speed or else risk overshooting his target. And, even so, if she could get in under him, then all those calculations would be...! She hurled herself bodily forward just as the kick descended, passing beneath his descending leg before it could reach her. She rolled once, and then-

The kick slammed into the ground below, kicking up a storm of dust and dirt, the shockwave once more carrying her into the air as the ground began to shake. She was launched away from the point of impact, but she'd been prepared for that, too. She managed to flip herself face down just before she could hit the ground, then projected a copy of herself beneath her to catch her and break her fall. Using her own image as a cushion, she managed to land without more than a few more scrapes, and rose to her feet as the image faded.

She hadn't gotten a good look at him when he'd last attacked, but she was fairly certain... That last attack of hers had definitely done some damage! His Quirk gave him speed and power, but that was its limit. The amount of punishment he could take was still finite! In that case, if she could keep whittling him down without taking a direct blow herself, then...!

...But it was too early to celebrate. Her breath was already coming in ragged gasps, and her energy was almost halfway spent. She was starting to feel sluggish - dizzy. But she couldn't give in just yet...!

Even if she couldn't see him, he had to be somewhere in that dust cloud. He probably hadn't gotten a good look at which direction she'd flown off in, which meant she had the chance to close the distance! A copy of herself appeared to either side of her, and all three of them fanned out, running at angles into the smoke towards where she knew her enemy was waiting. If she could just get a little closer, it was possible... She might be able to...!

Kenichi stood up shakily, still bent at the waist as he rubbed his aching calf--the only thing about that move was that if he missed, the landing was hard. He straightened up and licked his swollen lip absently. Should he get out of the cloud, or wait for her to come to him? She had plenty of cover if she wanted it, but he'd beaten her at an in-fight once already. He shook his arms out as he held his ground. He'd wait, at least until the cloud died down.

A shadow appeared in the cloud on his left. He darted at it immediately, raising both fists.

"Jet Wolf!" If the earlier Jet Hound had been trouble, this move was a whole pack of trouble, hence its name. It was, in essence, the exact same as a "Gomu Gomu no Gatling," the "North Star Hundred Cracks Fist," or the good ol' "Ora Ora Ora." Kenichi launched a rapidfire barrage of punches one after the other as he pressed forward, his arms blurring until it looked like he had grown multiple limbs.

The dust cleared out of his way, and the girl's shocked face appeared in his sights. His fists barreled into her--then she burst into shards of light and Kenichi's rush passed through her.

"Tch!" He whirled on the spot, looking this way and that. How many copies had she made? Maybe she hadn't intended to come after him at all--was she setting up for something big from outside the smokescreen? He'd see soon enough, the air was starting to clear...

A sudden shockwave split the cloud of dust a short distance to her left. Using his Quirk to force dust and debris away to once more clear the battlefield... Haruka had used that trick a few times, too, so she'd been expecting it. It seemed like one of her copies had been taken out by his initial attack, too, but judging by his yell and the rapid dispersal of the cloud, she now had a good idea of where she was. She had her second copy close in immediately, charging in from his right, while she approached behind it, creating a third copy directly in front of her to cover for her while she once again moved a short distance to the side and approached at an angle. She was twenty meters from him now, now eighteen, and then finally...

Out of the disappearing smoke, another Fumika emerged, rushing silently towards her enemy and dropping into a slide across the ground, sweeping out her leg as she did so to try to catch the blue-haired boy's feet and sweep them out from under him, then turning as she rose upward to bring up a sudden punch towards his gut. She didn't expect the first attack would work, much less the second, given he must have already been aware that more of her copies were lurking in the mist. However, if she could just make contact with his leg, the particle wavelength would tell her exactly what she needed to know in that instant about his foot's position. He'd have to ground himself to launch a counterattack, and at that moment, all his weight would momentarily be on his back leg. At that exact instant, she'd project it, and bring him down...!

Sure enough, Kenichi jumped over the sliding scissor sweep, turning as he came down to follow her movement. He almost landed on her punch, but threw both palms in front of himself to catch her fist before she could hit him in the solar plexus--notably, this was the first attack he seemed intent on blocking from her. Her very first roundhouse kick he had tried to dodge, but he hadn't been too concerned with the bruise it had given him, and everything since that he had taken without letting it slow him down, although that one kick to the gut had gotten the most reaction...

Gripping her hand with both of his, he suddenly started to torque his body, dragging her across his waist. He put too much muscle into it as opposed to proper form and leverage, but it was the same kind of throw she had used on him after his Jet Hound! He sent her copy flying over his hip with a bit more oomph than she had used on him, but that moment of bodily contact had given the real Fumika what she needed.

Clink!

Kenichi looked down at the metallic sound, just as the cable and hook that had somehow spawned around his foot started to go taut. He could feel himself starting to slide, and followed the cable back to where Fumika and her copes had lined up for tug-of-war. He pulled back with his hooked leg, but even with his enhanced strength he knew her number advantage would make that futile. And just as he thought, the copies all adjusted their grips, leaned back, and gave one synchronized pull--!

He pushed off the ground, using their effort to add to his speed, and not-quite-literally flew at them completely parallel to the ground. He crossed both arms over his face in an X.

Even if I don't hit hard enough to knock her out, I'll try and get my arms around the real one!

"Jet Hawk!" he shouted, before flinging both arms straight out in a flying clothesline.

She'd got him! With a mighty pull on her projected crane cable, Fumika was about to drag her opponent off his feet when suddenly-

The ground shook. She and all of her clones stumbled as the resistance at the other end vanished entirely, and the boy instead launched himself straight at her. At the back of the line, she managed to put her other copies in front of her, but they hardly so much as slowed the boy down as he plowed through them, reducing each one to dust in turn before slamming into her at full speed. Once again, she felt the air rushing out of her lungs as her whole body shook from the impact. However, it wasn't a direct hit. Still reeling from her own overexertion, she'd been falling backward when he hit her. His arms had struck her directly below the collarbone, then grazed off her and gone over her head. As a result, instead of being carried with him as he flew past, she was sent slamming down into the ground as if struck by a hammer. A scream died in her throat as once again, a fiery-hot wave of pain shot up the length of her entire back. She slammed down hard into the dirt, various small stones scraping and scratching at her as she tumbled over and shakily rose to all fours. Wave after wave of pain pounded through her head, as though her very skull were about to burst. She gasped for air, every muscle of her chest screaming in protest at the exertion. Her entire body ached... but she couldn't stop now. She'd come so close... She could still win. She would still win! She forced her glasses back up from where they'd nearly fallen once again, looking frantically back and forth. That boy... where was he?

There, crashing into the ground several meters away! Kenichi grimaced as he had to basically throw himself into a roll to bleed off the momentum, but while it looked like a tumble of limbs ragdolling across the field the impact was reduced to a dull throbbing all over his body. He pushed himself to his feet and turned back towards Fumika. That scrape above his eye had opened up now thanks to the gravel, so he had it closed while blood--a lot of blood, actually--trickled over it and down along his cheek. Those minor cuts on his arm from punching through the pallet were bleeding more than they should be too, making his otherwise fine arm look like something out of a horror film. There were rips and scrapes and stains all over his jersey. He was breathing hard, and it wasn't intentional; the pressurized air he was exhaling even clouded up like steam in the winter. He was sweating profusely too, a sheen that made the pink tint to his skin look feverish.

When your heart was pumping this hard, and when your red blood cells were being produced so fast so numerously, even a minor scrape would bleed like hell. Body heat went up past what was normal for a human too--if he kept this up, his sweat might even start evaporating, making the comparison between his Quirk and One Piece's Gear Second even more apparent.

As far as stamina and muscle fatigue went, he wasn't actually that bad off--it was just that he had tried to ignore some hard hits, hadn't been careful enough in monitoring the damage he'd received because he was so sure it would only take one good hit to beat her. He hadn't weighed the risk of his own moves correctly--crashing into things at the speed he moved was worse than just letting her hit him.

But she looked worse off than he was. His first instinct was to call out to her, to ask if she was alright. But she had given it her all here, and he had to answer her in kind. It would be paradoxically gentler, here, to leave no questions unanswered, to make the outcome crystal clear. So he stacked his arms in front of him, forearms presented like the face of a battering ram, and he pushed off at top speed for one last run.

"Jet Stampede!"

Punches and kicks had what you'd call "penetrating power," concentrating large forces into small areas. He couldn't punch her full force because he'd break bones or rupture organs. But a move like this was just one body running into another--like when he hit the wall on the flat of his back, the force was more dispersed. So he ran--actually running, not a straight line lunging dash where his speed made him "glide" over the ground--straight at her, and although he was running fast, if he missed he could make a wide, arcing turn and come back at her again. He didn't even need a direct hit, one or two passes with a glancing blow might do it...

There was no time to think. The moment he was up on his feet, he was already running her down again. But this time, he didn't close the distance in a single bound, but rather took his time to accelerate to a dead sprint towards her. That, combined with the distance his flight had placed between them, barely gave her time to roll to the side rather than being trampled underfoot. Rising once more to all fours, she sprang upright, spinning to face him... only to find him arcing rapidly back around and rushing straight towards her again! He was faster this time - no time to dodge. So this was his plan... He'd keep accelerating and circling back in on her, pummeling her until she couldn't dodge anymore and took a direct blow. There wasn't any cover or way to distance herself from him, and he'd chase her down if she tried to run... In that case, her only option was to slow him down!

Fumika's rapidly dimming eyes flashed once again, a red haze popping out against their whites as her emerald green pupils began to glow once again, the bar around her head decreasing rapidly. Another shadow took form overhead, but this time, she didn't shut her eyes. Between her and the advancing boy, a large metal support pole came crashing down, sticking end-first in the dirt and forming a pillar in front of him, forcing him to swerve away from her at the last second or else crash headlong into it. He circled again, then came darting in from the left. Even though she'd stalled him, he was still accelerating?! Her eyes flashed once more, and another pillar slammed down between them. The ground shook, dust rapidly rising, only to split apart as a dark shape came rushing in from the right. A third pillar crashed down into the earth, but it wasn't quite quick enough. He slipped straight under it as it fell, twisting slightly to the side. Although she tried to dodge, his shoulder brushed against hers as he blurred past her, and this alone was more than enough to send her slamming once more into the ground. Her head knocked hard against the ground, and as she reached up to try to force her glasses back onto the bridge of her nose, she drew back her hand to find it stained red with blood. Something warm was trickling down from her right temple. The pounding in her head redoubled, and the whole world seemed to be spinning around her. But still, she had no time to rest. Given his earlier movements, he'd arc back around and then attack from the nearest opening, and that was...!

She rolled over, forcing herself partially up into a crouch from where she'd ended up lying on the ground. Sure enough, the smoke suddenly washed inward as something on the other side of it began to accelerate. One pillar wouldn't be enough - he'd slip through! So, driven to desperation, she released three more pillars from above, raining them down wildly upon the area in front of the boy, hoping he'd pull out of his attack rather than risk being hit directly by or running headlong into a steel beam. At this exertion, her power plummeted, and her eyelids began to feel almost irresistibly heavy. She was running on fumes at this point, and between the beating she'd taken and the amount of energy she'd been forced to use, it was difficult for her to even raise her head. And yet, she had to get up... He was coming... If she didn't stand, then she'd be...!

The three pillars crashed down, the dust cloud whirling around them as Kenichi changed his movements. As Fumika willed herself to her feet one more time, though, something was off this time. The sound of his footsteps pounding the earth had gone missing! So he had to be--

When she looked up, there he was, crouching like Spider-Man at the top of one of the pillars. His nostrils flared, the air around him whistled, ruffling his spiky hair like a battle aura. His eyes met hers, and he was still looking at her seriously, acknowledging her as his opponent.

"It's over!" he said, adjusting to a three-point stance as best he could on the narrow pipe, "But your choice...WASN'T WRONG!"

Even if she couldn't win, even if she was outmatched. She was smart, she was brave, she kept going as far as she could. She chose to fight him, she chose not to give up. She hated lying, but she lied. She hated not knowing what to do, but she chose anyway, knowing she was wrong.

No. Just because you might lose...it was
never wrong to try!

"JET HUNTING!"

"HARUKAZE HAILSTORM!"

He was a blue blur, bouncing off each pillar or swinging around them to slingshot himself in a new direction. The pipes made a sound like oversized wind chimes as he rattled their metal surfaces, echoing through the hollows down into the ground. He kept speeding up, until she lost sight of him just once--

It was an utterly unreasonable attack, impossible for her eyes to follow. First from the left, then from above, then suddenly from behind? When had she gotten to the right of her? She was moving so fast that Fumika's eyes couldn't even follow the direction in which the blur that was Haruka was moving. And then, suddenly-

He barely grazed her, his shoulder across her back, but it was like being buffeted by storm winds. Then he did the same across her side, then her front, then it was like he was all around! At some point she'd been knocked off her feet, but she couldn't even fall because he was hitting her in a new direction over and over. Her sense of balance and spatial awareness couldn't make heads or tails of anything, her vision was just a blur of brown and white as she faced earth, sky, earth, sky, then there was a streak of blue every so often, and it just kept--

Suddenly, gold eyes appeared right in front of her, and Fumika knew it was over. Haruka's leg was already drawn back, spiraling up towards her. The ultimate, super special finishing move she'd been so proud of was about to be delivered, and then-

For a split second, time seemed to stop. Fumika stared with wide eyes as the blue blur collided with one of her pillars, rebounded, and came straight at her. This was the final blow. Once this attack connected, she'd surely be...

I failed. Haruka, I'm sorry... it looks like I really can't... I can't be like you after all...!

The wind was howling. He was almost upon her now. She didn't even have time to shut her eyes or brace for the impact. Her body already felt numb from the repeated impacts, and even her thoughts were getting hazy. Her uniform was ripped and torn, and she herself was covered with dust, scrapes, and bruises. All around her, her projections were crumbling to pieces. Her power was at its limit. Even if she could have dodged this attack, she couldn't keep fighting. So this was it. It had all been for nothing. She couldn't do this after all. It hurt. Losing hurt. She didn't want this. She didn't want it to end like this...!

Please... someone... anyone... Haruka...!

It happened in a flash. The spring wind blew suddenly across the open field, a loud "bang" splitting the air as every single pillar around the plaza crumbled into dust and vanished. Kenichi was suddenly forcibly blown back by a mighty gale, and skidded to a stop on the ground. Then, just as quickly as this sudden storm had come, it stopped, revealing...?

A dark-haired figure was standing over Fumika, golden eyes staring down at her. At the last second, just before Kenichi's attack could connect, this person... this girl... She'd jumped in the way and pulled Fumika to safety? But who was she? She definitely wasn't someone from Alpha team, but she was clearly too young to be a teacher. With speed and power like that, he should have been able to hear her coming, but rather, she'd seemed to appear out of thin air... A projection?

Ah, this had to be her, then. The other person with a self-enhancing Quirk, the reason that so many of Kenichi's moves were being read and this girl could keep up with him. That force, that speed...even though he knew the projections could only take so much force before collapsing, and that his own moves had already put a lot of strain on them, this dark-haired girl had shattered them all at once. Had that "bang" been a real sonic boom? His top speed couldn't even approach that--could she really make a projection that powerful, with so little stamina left? He looked down at himself, down at his bleeding arm. He clenched his fist and turned his head to the sky. With a heave of his chest and shoulders, he started to draw in as much air as he could. More, so much more, enough to fill himself to capacity and go beyond that, because he was going to need every bit of it...

Fumika blinked, unable to tell anymore whether or not she was awake or dreaming. She was so tired all of a sudden, and felt like she was getting sleepier with every passing second. She could barely keep her eyes open, and yet, she couldn't take her gaze away from the familiar face looking down at her, a sad smile playing on the face of her idol and best friend. She wasn't angry at her, even like this? But she'd failed... She hadn't been able to live up to her promise. She hadn't been able to be a hero like Haruka had wanted her to be...!

And yet, in the silence following the resounding clash of battle, she could almost hear a voice - one she remembered from not too long ago.

Sorry I was late.

"Haruka... it hurts... I can't... I can't do it after all..." Fumika sobbed, gasping for air as she lay prone on the ground. Her breathing was ragged, although whether that was because of how much it hurt just to force the air into her lungs or because she was simply too tired to exert herself any further, she couldn't tell anymore.

Come on, Fumi, are you even trying? Haruka's image gazed sternly down at her. She wasn't angry, but the disappointment in her tone and expression hurt more than all the pain her enemy could have possibly inflicted upon her.

"What is there left to try?" She snapped back. Hadn't she done everything in her own power to win? And after all of that, it still wasn't enough! What more was there that she could do besides give up and save herself further agony and humiliation? "I'm not strong... I couldn't beat you... I can't even beat him... It doesn't matter how hard I try to fight for myself, does it? I'll only lose in the end. Nothing has changed, except I can't hide behind you anymore...!"

Was she talking to that girl, Kenichi wondered? She had to be. Haruka, huh? So this was what she was afraid of, living in this other girl's shadow? Something must have happened--had Haruka just gone to another school, or had there been some kind of accident? And now, this girl had to learn how to stand on her own two feet, and make her own decisions. And Kenichi knew that no matter what he could say or do for her in the present moment, it was up to her to make those choices and follow her own path.

You did a bit better that time. Good job. Haruka's tone changed to a more placating one, and Fumika couldn't help but feel ashamed of herself. Still, what did it change? Even if she had improved, she was still...

"But I still can't win! I let everyone down..." She protested weakly. Haruka shook her head sternly, reminding her of a lesson she already should have learned.

Give it your all! If you don't come at me with everything you've got, then you're letting yourself down!

"But what can I do?" She pulled her hair down over her eyes, tugging on it for consolation like it was the only protection she had left. "I'm scared... if I get up, then I'll just..."

What's there to be scared of?! Haruka's voice rang in her ears, cutting off any attempt she might make to excuse herself. You've got an amazing Quirk, and you passed the entrance exam to one of the best Hero schools in the country, for crying out loud! As somebody who's fought against you before, I can safely say that you've got nothing to be afraid of. She was right. Of course she was right. The only reason she was losing was because she herself was weak. But, with her Quirk... There might still be a chance. She hadn't wanted it to end like this. She hadn't wanted to hide behind others, to compensate for her own weakness with cowardice, to embrace her own powerlessness. But, if it meant upholding Haruka's dream... if it meant vindicating the confidence that the person most important to her had placed in her...!

"So then... I should be able to win here, right?" She asked, clinging now to one last desperate hope. Even if it wasn't what she'd wanted... "Even if it means relying on my Quirk..." She could still...?

Let me ask you this. What is it that you want, Fumi?

Despite herself, Fumika found her hand clenching into a fist. Her vision cleared, and her head stopped spinning. Even though all that was left of the bar around her head was nothing more than a single pinprick of light, even though her power was entirely spent, she'd never felt more clarity, more certainty, ever before. The pain was still there, but suddenly, that didn't seem to matter anymore.

"I want... I want to win."

Haruka's image smiled down at her, reaching out a hand. She'd given the right answer, it seemed. Fumika hesitated for only a moment, and then took hold of it. Although she could hardly stand by herself, if Haruka was there to help her... Even if it was impossible, she'd definitely be able to make it happen!

Then you have a goal. No matter what happens, don't give up on it, okay?

Fumika took her feet, the dying glow in her eyes somehow seeming brighter than ever before. Sparks flew from the ends of her hair as the green arrow surged back into view, lighting up like a star. Releasing her friend's hand, Fumika took a step forward, ignoring the stinging protest of her leg as it struggled to so much as support her weight.

"Then let's do it. Together... Let's win together!" Haruka's image nodded, and stepped forward in front of her, while Fumika settled into her usual spot, bringing up the rear. As the pain faded and her thoughts grew clearer, Fumika realized full well that what she was seeing couldn't be real. Whether it was a trick played upon her by her own Quirk, or simply a dream to comfort her when she'd already lost, it didn't matter. It wasn't possible that Haruka was really there, really telling her what she needed to hear at that moment. Of course there was nobody by her side. She was as alone as she'd always been. But, for just this one moment, she wanted so desperately to believe... to believe that Haruka believed in her, to believe that she still had a chance, to believe that, in this moment, she wasn't useless, but rather...

Motome Fumika wanted to believe that she'd really managed to become a hero.

Kenichi gritted his teeth. He would be facing her, and the projection of someone who matched, maybe even surpassed his own abilities. If she could use that to its full extent, then he needed something that could meet that level of force head on and overcome it, and still have enough left over to win. In other words, a force great enough to cancel out whatever "Haruka" did, break the projection, and then go past it to knock out Ahoge-chan. Between breaths Kenichi smirked to himself--he really needed to learn her name. But for that kind of force, he only had one move--and he doubted he could use it more than once.

The UA practical exam wasn't much after the initial shock factor. Sure, all these robots the size of bulldozers chasing you, but they weren't as tough as they looked. He had earned plenty of points by the time they started counting off the last minutes, and now he had to hope and pray that he'd do as well as this on the other parts of the exam.

Then that one showed up. It was the size of a goddamned sky-scraper, nobody in their right mind was going to take that thing on without a plan. Even Kenichi hadn't jumped out in front of it--he'd been considering trying to climb one of the buildings and jumping on it from there--but then...

Some wimpy-lookin' kid--well, he had that whole "total loser" kind of presence to him, but if you actually looked at him he was pretty built under the tacky tracksuit he'd worn--moved before any of them even saw the girl trapped under the rubble. Everyone had written this guy off after the ruckus he'd made earlier, even that hardass kid with the glasses and the engine-legs. But this wimp just straight up jumped at least fifty fucking stories, stared that titan of a machine right in the face, and yelled one word before blowing it to pieces with one punch...

Everybody knew who All Might was, knew his moves and his style and recognized his power. Everyone wanted to be him. But the thing about All Might was, he never broke. That wimp Kenichi had seen back then...he'd absolutely mangled both his legs and one arm. And he'd done it without a second thought to save that girl.

Kenichi had decided that he had to keep going further too, beyond his limits. He couldn't just train his Quirk, he had to push it. So he came up with this one move.

Anyone who has seen someone be cut deeply, or open an artery, knows that the more oxygen and nutrient rich the blood is, the redder its color. The corollary to that is that the more carbon dioxide is in the blood, and after the blood has deposited its oxygen stores and begins returning to the heart to pick up more, the darker the blood gets. All the oxygen in Kenichi's bloodstream was being pumped rapidly throughout his system, and because systems always get less efficient the higher their power output goes, the gas exchange process was losing its balance. Those red veins all over Kenichi's body, like lightning bolts, began to darken. Maroon, purple...black. Every muscle was tight, his eyes were bloodshot around the edges, he ground his teeth together as he felt that deep, painful pressure in his chest. But he clenched his fist, and drew it back.

Here they...Here SHE comes!

The ground cracked, and another wave of dust was sent flying into the air as the dark-haired blur streaked forward, Fumika herself rushing in as fast as she could from behind. Kenichi braced himself, keen eyes tracking the figure's approach. The distance between him and the projected Haruka closed in a heartbeat, but rather than ramming into him head-on, she suddenly stopped, planting her front foot and bringing up her back leg in a wide, sweeping arc almost too fast to be seen. Kenichi could feel the force that blow almost before it was even launched, like a tornado in the making. If he was going to take his shot, then the perfect opening would be...!

Behind her friend's image, Fumika grimaced. Her power was declining even faster than she'd expected just making Haruka move. As it was, if she launched this attack, not only would she be betraying her earlier vow to win with her own power, but she'd burn herself out entirely. That was why... She only needed to make her enemy think that this attack was coming!

"JET... SMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!" Roaring at the top of his lungs, Kenichi forced forward with all his might. His fist closed the gap in an instant, splitting the air itself and sending a hurricane of dust and debris cascading backward as he unleashed one punch filled with all the strength he could muster. And as for the copy, it-

"Haruka, forgive me, but I have to settle this myself!"

Two steps ahead of her, another Fumika took form, once more crouching with hands outstretched, ready to fling her upward. She leaped, feeling herself caught and hoisted into the air as she jumped once again, making it a good few feet off the ground. That was all she needed! With Kenichi's next attack aimed at Haruka's center of mass, most of the force of his blow would be applied beneath her, which meant...!

The copy was instantly vaporized by the force of the blow, and offered no resistance to Kenichi's attack. As it faded, however, it revealed two more projections, hidden in the shadow of the first: Mina and Lysander! In the instant before both were blown away, Mina's copy released a blinding flash of light from right in front of Kenichi, while Lysander's extended his wires, forming a net that wrapped around Fumika in mid-air. She wasn't using his capture technique offensively, but rather, had created an improvised shield against the initial shockwave! The instant it had passed, the wires shattered into dust, and Fumika herself emerged, hanging as if suspended in mid-air. But, at that moment, all the air that had been displaced by Kenichi's punch began to rush back inward to fill the void left in its wake, which in turn would mean...!

An enormous backblast of wind was unleashed, catching Fumika from behind and flinging her bodily straight forward - right towards Kenichi. She had only a split second to think before she'd crash into him, and so did the only thing she could think of. Throughout the fight, his breathing had been carefully measured. First, he'd intake air, then strike, and then release his breath. Just now, he'd released all the air he had stored, hadn't he? Which meant... if she could just keep him from taking in more, then based on Sen's description of his Quirk, she could prevent him from dodging! She only had 1% of her power left, but 1% was all she needed! This last hit... would settle everything! With her remaining momentum, she flipped herself head-over-heels in mid air, her eyes alighting for a split second on her opponent's face right before she made contact.

Her eyes flashed one more time, and as the bar around her head faded to empty, for a few seconds, Sen's gasmask took form over Kenichi's face. Only able to take in as much air as could pass through the filter, it wouldn't matter how hard he tried. There wasn't enough time for him to recover! Her awareness was fading. Everything seemed to be spinning. But she would not give in. She would not give up. At the very least, she had to fight to keep her eyes open long enough to deliver her coup de grace. And so, with one last cry of exertion before her mind and body gave out, she unleashed her final attack.

"Take this...! Harukaze... HAMMER!" With this roar, she brought down her extended front leg as fast as she could, far too fast to avoid. Her technique was a perfect replica, but this was no projection, no counterfeit construction of something she admired. Her movements, her resolve, her everything... All of it was created with nothing but the strength within her own body! Even without her Quirk... she had managed to achieve for a split second the strength she had so admired. This... was the attack of a hero!

The air around them wasn't the only thing that burst from the force of Kenichi's blow. He felt his muscles tearing, felt his bones trembling under the pressure. Blood vessels under his skin burst, unable to take the pressure from over two hundred heartbeats per minute combined with the stress of throwing a punch like that, turning the entire arm the color of a nasty bruise. The cuts from earlier provided a path of least resistance, and with a popping sound sprayed a red mist into the whirling dust cloud.

But he had done it, the dark haired girl's image was blasted apart instantly, and--

Damn it, she read me again!

The light blinded him, and he threw up his good arm reflexively. Where had the real one gone? He had to--

Something closed over his mouth, and he opened his eyes wide in panic. Were those flashes of color just from being stunned, or was he going to suffocate!?

The hammer came down on top of his raised arm with a crunch, and it was sheer dumb luck that he had blocked with the "meatier" underside of his forearm and not the flat side or the hard edge a martial artist might use to block. It didn't break his bones, but it came damn close, and the impact went through and rattled his skull too. Then there was the weight behind it, she wasn't just kicking him she was falling on him--

They hit the dirt, Fumika too spent to even stand up anymore and Kenichi too off-balance to stop himself. He grunted and turned his head to keep from bouncing the back of his skull on the ground, and threw his arms out to the side as he hit flat on his back. Luckily Fumika was lighter and less dense of frame than he was, so having her fall on top of him didn't even hurt.

She was also taller than him, though, which meant that even though they'd been facing each other, they were not actually face-to-face. Indeed, Kenichi was now uncomfortably aware that he was instead face-to-something-entirely-too-soft. His face turned beet-red, even more than when he used his ability, and somehow his heart went from two hundred beats a minute to a complete flatline. But goddammit he didn't have time for this he had to breathe--!

Ah, she smells nice--FOCUS, MAN!

He started to use his arms to pull himself out from under her, but the incredible pain lancing through both limbs nixed that idea.

Well...at least she's unconscious? ...No, no that doesn't make it better.

Fumika, for her part, hardly even twitched, or seemed to notice where she was or what had happened. Her body, battered by the strain of the fight, ached far too much to move, and she herself was far too exhausted to care. Even through the haze that clouded her mind, however, there was one thing she still knew.

"I did it, Haruka," She mumbled, snuggling closer to what in her semi-conscious state she thought was a pillow. Her voice came out faintly, half-muffled as her face buried itself against Kenichi's shoulder, and her words slurring like a drowsy child asking the one who woke her for five more minutes. "See? You were right... I really can be... strong..."

When her awareness finally slipped away, Fumika lapsed into a dreamless sleep, the smile she'd worn at her first victory still playing upon her lips.

Jett Haven

Feat. [@mcfrazzer]

Toni had let everyone go off and do their own thing. The team had a solid plan of attackq and didn’t feel the need to contribute to the planning. With everyone going off, Toni walked over to the construction supplies and picked up some off cuts of rebar. Finding 12 pieces of rebar that varied between one to three feet long, slipping the shorter pieces up her sleeves and holding the longer ones like shot spears, Toni ‘reached’ out with her quirk to a piece of scaffolding and pulled herself in the direction of Point C where a cacophony of sound blasted out. Shooting through the air, Toni soon looked as if she landed on an invisible platform, shrapnel and broken car pieces everywhere with a broken piece of crane beneath her pressing itself deeper into the dirt.

“What the hell happened here?”
shooting four rebar bars from her sleeves at the outskirts of the chaotic battleground, Toni buried the metal rods deep in the dirt and let herself go down, looking as if she were taking an elevator down as boots crunched in the dirt. Picking her way through the chaos, Toni kicked shards of metal out of her way. Glancing around, Toni noticed that there seemed to be more Alpha team there so presumably they were in control of the point but this? This seemed like too much of a cost for any of this.

“So. I guess a clean-up is in order?” feet barely touching the ground, Toni approached Jett and Reina twirling a short spear of rebar in her hand, stabbing the rest of the bundle behind her.

“Hi sunshines.” Looking around at the scene Toni ‘pushed’ and the lighter pieces of metal carnage nearby cleared the area making a rough arena like circle.

“You both look rather upset, we can’t have that. Heroes must smile, especially when things look their worst. I have no idea what happened just before. Since I wasn’t here, I have no way of knowing. But what if this was an earthquake and there were civilians hanging about? Would you look so sad like this? You would still have people to save! Villains to thwart! So, I’ll do you a favour. Let’s engage in some good old-fashioned cathartic smackdown? I’ll play the star villain, just this once.” points the sharper end of the rebar at Jett grinning despite the chaos around them.

Jett looked over as he heard a female voice asking what happened. Normally he would be polite and even flirtatious with the blonde in front of him. But he didn’t care anymore. Not right now, he had to make up for this blunder and getting Sen hurt. “Yeah Sure...Ill take on.” Completely forgetting that Bird guy was still there, He reached into his pockets and pulled out some black leather gloves. Biting the finger of one of them he used his free hands to put on the other. “Ill be the gentleman and let you go first.” he said after taking the glove out of his mouth and placing it on his other hand. He then got into his fighting stance.

“Aww, you really are a hero, your manners are second to none.” watching Jett put on his gloves and get into stance. Holding the bar horizontally in both hands she let go and sent the rod flying to Jett’s chest.

“Here, catch.” grabbing another rod from behind her Toni stepped back and pushed herself into the air from the embedded rebar rod, holding the new rod like a bat she shot towards Jett and swung the rod at him, hoping to knock the wind out of him.

Jett gave a sarcastic bow of his head with clear fake smile at her comment about his manners. He looked up just in time to see the rebar aimed at his chest come flying. He twisted his body without moving his feet having it just skim passed his shirt.

He didn’t have much time to do anything else as she was swinging for his chest so he ducked and rolled forward, towards her and to the side, popping back to his feet he smirked. “Let me guess.. Your hero name is going to be tinkerbell?” He asked. Noting how she was floating and her bubbly exterior. “You’re going to have to be faster than that.”

“Nice idea, but how could someone such as me rip off a literary work? That would be a crutch. A true star like me will shine on her own merit.” reaching with her quirk, Toni gripped the engine block, pulling on it and shooting towards it and out of Jett’s range “I must say, you truly have an interesting quirk.” Jett said as she did so.

“Thank you. You may now notice something else~” pulling once more, Toni gripped a bar of rebar from behind Jett and dragged it towards his back, bracing in case she also needed to dodge. “But speaking of hero names, what will yours be? The Edge? Gloomy?”

Jett narrowed his eyes as he heard dragging metal behind him. As she asked the question he knew it was to distract him. He had pretty good reflexes, but not that good. Shit...he didn’t want to reveal it just yet. Ah well… fuck it. “You’ve just caught me at a bad moment…My name is…” He disappeared in a puff of black smoke, just as the rebar was about to hit his back. Pure luck on his part.

He appeared next to the girl just to her left. Black smoke rising from him. “...Glitch” Disappearing again he reappeared above her in another puff of black smoke and lashed out with a roundhouse kick.

Eyes close on Jett, suddenly he vanished from her sight, as if watching a bad DVD and the frames skipping in an action scene and suddenly ‘Glitch’ as he called himself was above her. Launching an omni-directional push, the rebar that was now flying at her turned around and slammed into the pile she left, while she shot after it pushed away from the truck. Still hit by the roundhouse, just in the side instead of her head, Toni rolled and sprang to her feet. Pulling sharp shrapnel towards her, Toni splayed her fingers and sent a shotgun blast of metal scrap at Jett.

“Nice name, suits you well. Skipping frames and all. I’m simply a star, so why should I hide behind a name~?”

Jett landed on his feet and instantly felt bad for kicking her. Cause he didn't like hitting girls, he was brought up not too… but this was a training exercise...it didn't help that the girl was Cu…. shit.

He zoned out for a second and lost focus. He saw the scrap metal coming at him but it was too late his focus was off. He tried to dive to the side but many of the scraps sliced through the side of his shirt and into his side.

Grunting he cursed at himself but forced a half smile. “Thanks.” he said to her complement. He got back to his feet slowly. He winced as the cuts started to burn…. good thing he got his tetanus shot recently.

“You know every star has a name right?”
He raised his right hand with his index up in ‘as a matter of fact‘ pose. “Most of them are just numbers in according to their location in the sky…” His brows furrowed as he pulled his head back when he thought, Where was I going with this? Oh that's right. Looking back at her, his confused look gone.

“Every hero is a star. You either become just a ‘number’ or you make a name for yourself. It takes more than just saying you’re a star to become one… even with your magnetic personality and alluring features.” he finished.

Thankfully with this fight, it took his mind off of what happened just before. But it was still prominent in his mind that he needed to make up for what happened.

“ Despite how much fun we are having… I must sadly, end this.” His face turning serious as he suddenly vanished in a puff of smoke and appeared again, inches from her face looking directly into her eyes. His eyes narrowed for a moment, distracted when he suddenly asks “ Who stole the stars from the sky and put them in your eyes?” Pulling yet another cheesy line from his repertoire of pickup lines. He just had to say it, it was too perfect, and yet it was totally not what he had planned. He was supposed to uppercut her, but the girl had some amazing eyes.

“I don’t mind being just a number, as long as it’s number one~” with a wink Toni slid closer to Jett as he appeared before her, moving to whisper in his ear as his face reddened a little.

“It was me who stole them” before sucker punching Jett in the solar plexus and sliding backwards out of arms’ reach, light dustings of dirt as she skidded over the surface

“I’m a selfish girl, can’t even stand the stars in the sky looking down on me.”
stepping onto thin air, Toni rose before shrapnel and rebar rose with her, bobbing up and down depending on their weight, but all in a sphere of metal around her.

“So, you give up pitiful hero? Does this villain triumph and get to claim a prize?”

Jett coughed and fell to one knee as he was sucker punched in the chest. Damnit, he lost his focus AGAIN why was he born with this ADHD?!

He looked up at the girl before him as she floated adding to why she stole the stars. He glanced over to see another student talking with Acion and Reina… if he decided to fight and got Acion to as well… he didn't want Reina to fight both of them alone.

His on the ground balled into a fist, leaving marks in the dirt. His eyes bolted to ‘star girl’ just as she finished her villain's ‘monologue’ he started to run at her. Using the momentum he jumped off a piece of wreckage and spun horizontally a few times before teleporting just to the girls right and lashing out with a powerful kick with his right leg, aimed for her diaphragm to knock the air out of her lungs, his kick was even more power this time due to the momentum in his spin before the teleportation.

Suddenly kicked by a human spinning top teleporting in front of her, Toni flew through the air comedically spinning through it as if she were a cartoon character before breaking abruptly and sitting in mid-air upside down, legs crossed and hand on her chin.

“Y’know, I’d have a far easier time of this if it were Point A or B” straightening herself up, Toni pulled a piece of rebar to her before lobbing it down at Jett. Repeating the motion for any light pieces of metal she could get her Quirk on.

“See, I don’t know if you can teleport immediately after doing so previously. Not sure if there’s much of a limit at all really. Still, you just proved you maintain momentum. So even if you teleport mid-fall, you’ll still hit the ground hard. So c’mon hero. Come up here and take a swing. See if you don’t break a leg on the ride down~”
she didn’t like to admit it, but pretending to be the villain in this instance was kinda entertaining. Well, at least sparring with Jett was fun and someone had to play the bad guy. The plus side was that he didn’t seem like a misery guts anymore.

Jett had landed gracefully onto the ground after kicking the girl. He watched as she flew backwards. He was impressed as she regained her composure and for the fact she didn't get the breath knocked out of her. She was tougher than she looked, that was for sure.

As she started to fling stuff at him he bolted to his left, dodging the metal as he jumped over other materials, rolling, sliding under wreckage. He did notice everything she was throwing was metal.

She then started to speak of his quirk, she was observant as well no one really noticed that. And while she was correct for a part. He did maintain his speed through jumps... but it could change with where and how he chose to reappear. He decided to keep that to himself.

When she challenged him to come up he smiled. She didn't think he could or would. He turned towards the highest piece of wreckage, while still dodging the barrage. However, before he got to it one of the metal pieces thrown at him slammed into his side, sending him sprawling and rolling like a rag doll till he managed to get to his feet and slid a few feet coming to a stop on his knee as dust flew up all around him. His shirt was all shredded now from rolling over sharp pieces of shrapnel metal. Fresh cuts and bruises all over his upper body. Grunting in pain as he slowly got up.

“One thing you got to know about me… " He cracked his neck while stretching his arms behind his back.
"...is if you challenge me at something.., Looking back at her "...I'm going to accept it!” He yelled up at her with a mischievous smile. With that he ripped his shirt off, revealing his muscles and toned body riddled with cuts and bruises now appearing upon his skin, and sprinted up the metal wreckage towards the girl. “ Just so you know I never tried anything like this before, maybe I will break a leg… maybe I won't. The thing is I'm used to breaking bones in my body.”

He knew it was a risk being a metal and all, but so far it's been little things she has been throwing around. As he reached the end of the wreckage be jumped as high as he could, no where near the girl but he did it to close as much distance he could before disappearing in puff of smoke and reappearing above her. He spread his arms wide to bear hug/ tackle the girl and bring her down with him. “The real question is… are you?!”

Grinning wider, Toni simply stopped using her quirk, letting herself plummet, the gap between her and Jett equalize.

“Basic science, objects fall at the same rate… but~” seemingly stomping on the air, Toni reactivated her quirk and she launched herself skyward again and looking for all the world like she was doing a shoryuken from Street Fighter.

Jett didn't calculate for this. Just like the shield girl. He couldn't change his course and didn't want to use another jump just yet, so he steeled himself and just twisted his head as much as he could to deflect the blow.

When her fist connected it knocked his head back pretty hard at this angle even with it glancing. But with his reflexes he managed to reach out and grab her arm, his hand sliding her forearm and to her shoulder where he gripped tightly. While is other one reached out and wrapped around her thin waist. He pulled it all his might and bear hugged the girl.

It took him a second to come to his sense but he found himself, face pressed against her stomach still floating in the sky. With his right hand around her waist and grasped firmly onto her right butt cheek. His face reddened almost to the shade of dark cherry as he pulled back abruptly looking the girl who he was hanging onto, quickly moving his hand up and off her butt and cinching it in her waist while pulling himself up. After all that he then looked around noticing that they slowly bobbing up and down while lowering to the earth.

“Well” he cleared his throat, looking back at her.” This was not how I thought my last attack would turn out.” He chuckled nervously. While having a worried look on his face.

“Well, you’re just lucky. Don’t worry. In return for your prize I will gladly accept your surrender and if you would look around you would see a lovely sight” by using her quirk, Toni had a large circle of sharp metal slowly closing in on the pair.

“A red face makes such a bright target to hit.” Toni was probably being a bit mean taking advantage of Jett’s… distraction, but they would probably be there for days with him zipping about and her moving all over the place lobbing hunks of metal at him. So suppressing whatever little embarrassment she felt, Toni made do with what she was dealt, so to speak

Jett looked around as she said and saw the metal surrounding them. He looked back at her, well breast as it was eye level and centimeters from his face that now and went bright red again. He looked up at her face, doing his best to ignore her chest and narrowed his eyes. “You wouldn't….” He said…hoping she was bluffing. He looked down judging the distance to the ground and doing some calculations in his head, remembering how many jumps he had done. I can make that. He thought to himself. He realized his arm around her waist was slipping down her back and almost over her butt once again. If he did he he would have to do it now.

He concentrated, as he imagined all of his jumps with his eyes closed he let go of the girl’s shoulder and with that same arm as he began to fall reached under her legs and opened his eyes, looking to the ground and teleported to that spot with the girl in tow. Now standing on the ground, with her in his arms he teleported again, this time farther away from the metal wreckage that surrounded them and back over towards where team Delta started. He jumped again and again, finally coming to a stop in between C and their starting point...away from any heavy metal and a great distance from the objective. Setting her down and quickly backing up out of reach of her swings he smiled his hands on his knees and breathing a little heavier than normal. He was reaching his limit.

“Sorry, I Should have surrendered after ya know…" His face reddened again at the memory. He scratched the back of his head. “ What I did...but I just can’t let you win… I have to make sure Sen didn’t get hurt for nothing, but thanks for the fight!” He said as he disappeared again in a puff of smoke. As she would see him reappear in the distance, glitching farther and farther away till he was back on C.

Appearing next to Riena and Acion, he fell to his knees, sweating profusely as his muscles shook at just holding himself up in a kneeling position. After a few moments he managed a weary smile after a long controlled breath and looked up at Acion and said with a chuckle , “Ready to defend C against us Birdy?” Jett hoped he had teleported her far enough away that she couldn't get back in time... they had been at this for a while now. He realized he didn't know how many jumps he had left...hopefully a couple. But he could very well have one...

Akihito Yoshida

As Yoshida drove he had his guardian place a surgical mask over Sen's mouth, though it wasn't a gas mask it helped with covering the paralytic gas, as he drove his projection device made a loud beep. What is it now?As he made a left turn onto a long dirt road he picked it up and pressed a button located at the bottom of the remote. A small holographic display appeared above the remote showing the conclusion of Point A with both Kenich and Fumika injured, More students I got to pick up he said as he made a quick right making his way to point A.

As he arrived at A he saw how torn and much dirt and dust had been kicked up, a shame he only was able to see the beginning before it was over. A good thing they had it on replay, Yoshida Sensei and his guardian hopped out of the car walking over to the male and female students laying top another, they were battered, as if they had fought to the death. He saw that one of them was conscious, another not so much, ""Some battle you guys had huh, Good job contesting the point though it’s bad that you are incapacitated." The girl looked in much better shape than the boy, "A girl did this to you?" he said as he turned around to get some first aid supplies to stop the bleeding. The guardian picked Fumika up carefully up off the boy, when the teacher returned the first thing he did was clean the large wounds he had before applying ointment and bandaging them. He then picked up the boy and walked with the guardian back to the jeep with both kids in hands, "Try not to take none of those deep breaths you like doing, there is a kid here who exhales dangerous gas" He said as he placed Kenichi on the right passenger side of the car right by the window, Yoshida shut the door before beginning to tend to Fumika. Once he was finished he placed Fumika in the shotgun seat, moved Mamoru to the middle back seat, and place Sen on the left passenger seat by the window. "Lets pray for no more knockouts" He said as he got into the driver seat and the guardian crouched and got into the trunk, he was in a rush really to get the students to the nurse. He picked up his multipurpose projection device and called the nurse, "Going to need 4 stretchers total"

Once Akihito pulled up to the entrance of training ground echo, Nurse Kiwi was already there with robots carrying stretchers, L guardians sentinel hopped out of the trunk and began placing the kids on the stretchers. "Another one of your ridiculous tests Akihito? They are still just kids! she said to him. Yoshida Sensei didn't say anything, "What if one of them died?!". "I am preparing them for the future, I am pretty sure they learned a valuable lesson from this exercise." He said as he hopped back into the jeep, " Careful of the boy with the mask, he exhales dangerous gas"

Kiwi let out a deep sigh, "It’s not as fun when the patients are unconscious" as she turned her face to Kenichi she saw that he was the only one of the three conscious, she let out a grin as she rubbed the boys head. "Guess I am luckier than I thought" as she walked through the exit of the grounds towards the Nurses office, the robots carrying the stretchers followed right behind her as she traveled back to her office.

???

Yoshida sensei had drove back to his spectator position to find the door left open, The hell? He walked in seeing someone in a seat watching replays, it seemed he was watching the replay of the fight at A.

"ahh, Akihito, what a youthful class you have here, they are full of fire...I hope you don't plan on expelling any of them, they show potential!" the elderly Voice said as he was engrossed on the screen. Yoshida sensei relaxed, being familiar with the voice. "I might stick around to talk to the students after this training exercise if that’s fine with you" The man said turning his attention to point C. Yoshida sensei let out a nod the man saw out the corner of his eye, "Excellent!"

Right Wing

Kiwi

Kiwi once kiwi and the students arrived at the nurses office, the robots transported the students onto the beds. Kiwi began preparing medical supplies to patch up the students,"I'll save you for last" She sad tapping Kenichi on the nose before putting on a hazamat suit to deal with Sen. Yoshida warned her of his dangerous gas before driving off, that bastard.

The boy's face was all cut up from glass as well as a deep cut on the boys arm, Kiwi took off the boys jacket and removed the glove on her left hand and placed it over the boys head. The pores on her hands began enlarging and soon beetle like insects began pouring out onto the boy’s face. It looked like a scene from the mummy where the scarabs swarm the person, except these bugs had healing properties. After a couple of minutes, Kiwi moved her hand over to to the boys shoulder and removed the bandage around the boys arms, the bugs traveled from Sens face to his arm, at least 50 of them entered his arm to repair him from the inside patch him up. After 7 minutes the bugs came out, the deep cut looking like a scrape now, Kiwi reapplied ointment to the boy cut before placing a band aid on it. All done! All that was left for the boy was some rest, he then continued on to Mamoru who had some light scrapes and was mostly knocked out from the paralysis gas. The pores on Kiwis arm enlarged even further to allow larger beetles on top of the smaller ones to exit her body, these ones specialized in cleansing irregular substances, they latched on Mamorus skin to purge her body of the paralysis while the smaller beetles healed her cuts.

The girl, Fumika, looked as if she would took a lot more work than other since she was bruised and cut all over. Kiwi took off her hazmat suit before working on Fumika. She placed both hands over Fumika as the bugs, the bugs poured out of Kiwi as if she was a faucet, Kiwi's face was focused and precise as she controlled the bugs. One of her hands was placed at the girls head focusing on patching her head wound while the rest taking care of the bruises, deeper cuts needed more attention as they required more precision. From where Kenichi was he could hear and see the bugs swarming Fumika, soon the head wound turned into a light scrape at a much shorter time, Kiwi was suprised a bit. "Hmm" She said, the Scrapes and light cuts were near gone, and the bruises were just light sores. The amount of time she spent on Fumika was almost comparable to the amount she spent on Sen.

Kenichi was last as he was going to be conscious for this, "I am going to need you to relax sweetie" she said as she prepared to hover her hand over Kenichi. "I hope you’re not afraid of bugs" she said in a playfully sadistic voice.

Beneath Point B > Point A

Feat. @Lucius Cypher

It was nice talking to Mina. So nice in fact that Donny completely forgot that she was his opponent and that he was suppose to destroy Point B. He remembered when violent shaking caused some cement to fall from the ceiling. ”Watch out!” Donny stretched his body over Mina as his body took a few blocks of falling ceiling. The first one hit him dead on, but the next ones were consumed by his body the moment they made contact with him. The tunnel was falling apart!

”We need to get out of here, Kasuke!” More and more of the tunnel was falling apart, and Donny had to focus all his efforts intercepting falling chunks. He'd try to follow and cover for Mina as they made their way out of this death trap.

Mina was not one to give in to panic, and looked around for the exit before tapping Donny and pointing, shining a beam at the exit as she took off towards it at a crouched run. They got about halfway before Mina heard a particularly loud crack and looked up to see what must have been a section of the first floor, weighing at least a ton, starting to fall directly above them. “MOVE!” she shouted, before pointing her finger up and focusing her beam into a laser, though this time it went past the burning stage and became a solid, red ‘classic sci-fi’ laser. She moved the beam from the top to the bottom of the falling rubble, splitting it in two, and both halves landed either side of them with ear-shattering crashes. ”Okay, keep going!” She ordered back to Donny, as she carried on her crouching run towards the safety of the narrower train tunnel leading out to the surface.

Dashing alongside Mina, Donny hauled ass toward the exit, making sure not to get in Mina’s way. They were almost home free when another huge chunk of the tunnel collapsed ahead of them, cutting off their path. Or would’ve if Donny accepted that. ”Keep running!”

Donny shit forward and impacted the surface of the cave in. However the moment he hit the dirt, he started rapidly eating away at the cement and soil and rapidly tunneling an exit for him and Mina. He braced his body against the surface to ensure further collapsing wouldn't happen as he made a path out of the train tunnel and back to the surface of the training ground. The first thing that hit Donny was the sunlight, slightly brighter than Mina’s own laser light show.

”Ow! That's bright!”

Even Mina squinted at the natural light after most of the exercise was in relative darkness. Another thing she reacted to was the fresh air, gasping for lungfuls of it after the stale, dusty air of the cavern. She looked back at what used to be Point B, just in time to see whole whole thing finish collapsing into the ground. She turned back to Donny.

”So, do we go back to the school, now, or keep fighting? Because I don’t know about you but I’m done.”

”Eh… Well I did promise I was going to destroy Point B, and it's destroyed so… I guess we ought to head out of here. I need to find new clothes anyways.” Donny made a miniature wing to blow away the dust and dirt that started to kick up. He wasn't really eager to fight anymore and mostly just wanted to duck out before anyone else spotted him. Before he left Donny still had one snack bar left, so he offered it to Mina.

”So I guess this is where we split. It was… It was nice talking to you.”

Mina wordlessly took the snack bar, but didn’t open it right away, or indeed answer right away. She just nodded, then stared at the school building for a few seconds, before turning her head back to Donny. ”Alright. You be careful now. And...thanks. It was nice talking to you too.”

Mina then headed towards the school building, but once she was well out of the Sight and path of Donny, she backtraced her tracks, then headed to Point A. ”Sorry, Donny,” she muttered to herself, “I’m only tricking you like this for your own good. I’d rather win without hurting you…” Yet even with this self-reassurance, she still felt a little guilty.

Arriving at Point A, Mina found it utterly deserted, as well as severely battle-worn. Fumika must have taken everybody else out at the cost of taking herself out too. Still, with Mina here, Alpha Team had Point A, and providing nobody else had showed up at the collapsed building, they still held Point B as well, which meant they’d won. The small girl perched herself on a stack of metal construction beams, and started scanning the area for any sign of other students.

The Nurse's Office

@Experiment 249@pkken

Mako entered the Nurse's office without knocking, carrying the unconscious body of Lysander. She smiled, watching Kiwi at work. They were the among the only female staff in the school, and both had a pleasure for schadenfreude, so Mako felt a kinship with the school nurse, even if they similarities prevented them from being friends. They deliberately liked to mess with each other and try to get on each other's nerves, and they both succeeded.

"Got another one!" The secretary chimed in a sickly sweet voice. "He's mostly alright though. I mean, there may be a concussion and/or severe brain damage...Just kidding, he got knocked out by a blow to the back of the head. Can I stay and watch you work for a while? I hope I'm not intruding!"

Point A > Nurse's Office

As Kenichi lay there, with his opponent cuddling against him in a way that was equal parts awkward, cute, and embarrassing, he finally started to get some feeling back in the arm he had used to block her last kick. Before making any attempt to move, however, he looked over at his other arm. No broken bones from what he could feel, because he could still flex each joint and he didn't see any protrusions or hear any grinding. There might be a few fractures, but he doubted it because if that had been the case the pain would have been much deeper. As it was, he would describe most of the pain as coming from "beneath the skin," like someone had opened him up, set a fire on the inside of his arm, and then closed it. That was probably the muscle strain, the overloaded nerves, and the broken blood vessels. Of the three the last one didn't really hurt, it just turned his entire arm a nasty shade of purple. Kind of like that wimp from UA.

But, he could still move it somewhat, and his other arm was practically fine now, the pins-and-needles feeling of a sleeping limb fading out of it. Aside from the minor cuts on the purple arm and the split place on his forehead--which had slowed their bleeding considerably now that his heartrate was starting to calm down--he wasn't all that "wounded", just tired and beat up from all the crashing around. The blood stream over his eye had hardened, though, gluing it shut. As dusty and dirty as he was at the moment, wiping it off probably wouldn't help.

As the rumbling of a car got closer, Kenichi's blood suddenly ran cold. Was that Alpha team coming back!? Could he fight off anyone else, with one arm and a blind spot? He still had to make sure his team won--since he was the one who was conscious, he hoped that meant Delta controlled Point A. The vehicle pulled up nearby and stopped. Kenichi braced himself. The best chance he had here was to do it fast before they noticed his weaknesses--if he pushed off with his good arm as hard as possible, he could launch himself up and do a handstand-kick, and if he hit the chin there was a chance he could get a knock-out...

"Some battle you guys had, huh? Good job contesting the point though it’s bad that you are incapacitated." Yoshida-Sensei came into view, and Kenichi managed to push himself up a little bit, his wounded arm still good enough to hold Fumika up with him. "A girl did this to you?" the teacher said. The blue-haired boy bristled.

"Oi, fighting her is like fighting a whole team at once." Kenichi said, as much in defiance of Fumika being "just a girl" as in defense of his own ability. But as the teacher picked the unconscious girl up and began applying first aid, the blue-hair pushed himself to his feet--and nearly fell back down before his wobbly legs stabilized--and started to follow the Hero, but something suddenly swept him up like he weighed nothing at all. L Guardian, not a name he'd heard too often--although they actually shared the same surname, but it must have just been a coincidence since it was like the 12th most common Japanese family name. So was his Quirk some form of Telekinesis or something else? He felt like maybe there had been something about it in some of the brochures and such Komei had sent to each student after their acceptance, but he hadn't paid a whole lot of attention to those.

"I can still walk..." Kenichi grumbled indignantly, but at this point it looked like he was going to be taken out of the game entirely. Damn. He had wanted to fight as many of the other team as possible, but now it was going to look like he'd tried to be a lone wolf and gotten himself caught, just like Mamoru had tried to warn him--

Speak of the devil, the pinkette was here too! What had happened to her? Shouldn't that shield Quirk of hers meant that she'd be one of the last ones to go down?

"Try not to take any of those deep breaths you like doing, there is a kid here who exhales dangerous gas." L Guardian warned as Kenichi was placed into the Jeep.

"Kimoto-kun? Huh, that's four so far." Kenichi's look of concern changed to one of irritation as he looked back at the teacher. "Either we're way too gung-ho, or your stupid speech in the classroom put everybody way off their game, teach." he said bitterly. He covered his mouth with his good hand, but he could still feel the slight sting in his nose from the traces of Sen's gas just like back in the classroom. Hopefully between here and the nurse's office wouldn't be long enough for him to absorb too much of it.

When he and Fumika had both been treated for the basics, the Jeep trundled off towards the entrance to the training ground. Kenichi took a closer look around at the others. Mamoru just looked like she'd been tossed around a bit and knocked out, though certainly not as much as Fumika. However...the fact that the shield girl was also unconscious was a little worrying. Fumika hadn't so much been knocked out as she had completely exhausted--it was more like she just fell asleep standing up. If Mamoru had taken some kind of blow to the head...

It was the same thing for Sen, but he also had two cuts that looked bad, bleeding even through layers of bandaging. Who the hell had used a cutting weapon or Quirk like that on their classmate? Punches and kicks, maybe certain kinds of energy blasts, those could be controlled well enough to keep from maiming people, but who had thought it'd be a good idea to to use something so potentially lethal!? Kenichi fumed in silence for the rest of the trip, until they were handed over to the school nurse. Kenichi hadn't met her yet, so he looked her over while L Guardian's telekinesis or invisible man or whatever it was loaded them all up onto the transport stretchers. And needless to say she was an eyeful. Kenichi turned away before his face could get red again, having had enough of that already with Fumika earlier.

Kiwi let out a deep sigh, "It’s not as fun when the patients are unconscious." Kenichi felt a chill go down his spine as he turned to face her.

"Oh, uh, I-I'm still...awake...?" He didn't like her grin. Or how she rubbed his head, her slender fingers running through his hair. Actually that part might have been nice if not for the absolute feeling of foreboding he had. Kenichi gulped audibly and desperately tried to keep his eyes from wandering.

By the time they arrived at the nurse's office, Sen's gas had started to numb Kenichi's extremities, but otherwise he was already starting to feel better. He could probably go take on the whole other team by himself with no problems. Or just leave and go back to the classroom. He was totally fine.

It had nothing to do with his ever growing fear and simultaneous arousal of the nurse at all. Honest.

"I'll save you for last." She said, tapping Kenichi on the nose before putting on a hazmat suit to deal with Sen. At least the baggy orange material didn't show off how...bouncy...she was.

And then Kenichi saw her Quirk and the inside of his head turned into a scene from Starship Troopers, the old American movie his dad had shown him one time and then never again. BUGS! BIG ASS BUGS! BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGS! Okay, so they weren't that big, and they had some kind of ability to reconstruct tissues and close up wounds. Still, though, it was just ever so slightly disconcerting. As he watched the others recover, though, Kenichi eased up a little. The nurse seemed to be able to figure out just what to do for each student, and as time passed it looked like everyone was going to make a full recovery in less than an hour. The blue-hair visibly sighed in relief when he saw how much better off Fumika was after the treatment--she was taking a while to wake up, like Mamoru, which had been bothering him.

Then the nurse started towards him. Kenichi felt another chill run down...actually, wait, no. For some reason he felt kind of numb all over--Aw crap, this is your fault Kimoto-kun! He lay on the stretcher, his arms and legs refusing to respond to his brain. She leaned over him, her chest getting really uncomfortably close and her hand hovering on his head.

"I am going to need you to relax, sweetie." She grinned again. "I hope you’re not afraid of bugs" she said in a playfully sadistic voice.

"At the moment? Yeah the bugs are a bit low on the list." he managed, the corner of his mouth and one eyebrow beginning to spasm.

Just then the door opened suddenly, and the school secretary appeared with Lysander in tow. She spoke in a sing-song, slightly suspicious tone of voice, but it seemed like maybe she had possibly barged in for the sole purpose of not leaving the students alone with a nurse who clearly seemed to enjoy her work a little too much. Kenichi breathed a sigh of relief that he hoped wasn't too obvious.

Mamoru Aksha

After her little crash into the truck, Mamoru found herself left bleeding and paralyzed. ”Right. Sen does that paralysis thing.” Mamoru couldn't feel her body do anything aside from breathing, and even that was pretty strained. Still she managed to take out Sen so that was something. After the dust settled things seemed pretty quiet. She could hear voices in the distance but couldn't make out what they were saying. Seemed fairly calm, all things considered. Did they stop fighting?

Eventually Mr. Yoshida came along and took Mamoru, as well as a few other injured, to the nurses office. Mamoru received a bit of first aid to deal with her surface injuries, though really the worse of it was just the paralysis. Mamoru suppose she should be glad that she took it Sen as soon as she did, otherwise her team would have a really hard time. She made a mental note to find Sen and apologize for bashing his face in, she had no idea he was inside. She was mainly aiming for the driver of the truck, but forgot that the Japanese drive on the right side and not the left (her family’s car is driven on the left side).

Inside the nurse's office Mamoru could feel some sensation back in her body. For starters she was able to feel the full extent of her injuries, and move her fingers a bit. She was also able to blink. As Mamoru exercise what little of her body she could control the nurse came in. Mamoru figured she must have some sort of healing quirk and was curious to know what it was. Mamoru quickly regretted finding out.

Bugs. Just bugs everywhere. Mamoru didn't care if they were technically all beatles, she was utterly swarmed with insects and it was gross. Mamoru wasn't scared of bugs, but that didn't mean she wanted to be utterly blanketed in these things. That being said Mamoru’s injuries and paralysis was soon removed. Shortly after Nurse Kiwi left Mamoru, she jumped out of bed, shivered, and snuck out.

No doubt Sen was nearby, so Mamoru was going to pay a visit. Hearing Nurse Kiwi operate on another poor sod, Mamoru peeked around. Turns out Sen was just the next bed over, so Mamoru let herself in. ”Ring-a-ding! It's me. Still alive?”

@PsychoPanda28

Donny Yang

After Donny and Mina parted ways, he headed towards Point C. Ideally it was firmly in Team Delta control, and if not, he'll have to fix that. He didn't know how to get to Point C from underground so Donny slithered around topside, making sure to take cover and hide as often as possible. He didn't want anyone spotting him and thinking he was a villain who snuck into school.

Eventually Donny arrived to Point C and surprisingly enough, it was still being contended. Only two members of Team Alpha were present, yet for some reason Team Delta haven't defeated or driven them off. In fact it looked like they were doing some sort of fight club, going 1v1. Donny could get the honor of it all, but in a real battle against villains they aren't going to have honorable bouts. Assuming the villains even were going to play fair. Heroes don't need to fight stupidly after all.

Before diving in Donny continued to survey the battle and noticed something in the corner of his nonexistent eye: a shield. ”Right, Mamoru is on my team. She must have gotten eliminated if she didn't take her shield. I'll just help myself then…” As everyone continued to fight, Donny went to swipe Mamoru’s shield. If it was as good as she said it is, than Donny would get a lot of use out of it. Hiding it within his body Donny crept towards the others. He went underground and squeezed down to the size of a snake, occasionally poking just a little twig if a stall out of the dirt to see where he was going. Once he got to the main area where the fighting was happpening, Donny dug deeper underground to make some narrow fox holes. And the moment his opponents least expect, he'll drag them down into the holes.

Point B

Roy Smirks as he turns around and makes his way towards point B, he was about ¾ mile from point B. He was calm at first but now he pondered on it, the way Donny explained how he would take point B wasn't the most convincing. Maybe he got captured and they already defeated him? He wasn't even sure what the boy could do. “Dammit” Roy held out his arm and his markings began glowing, soon a golden chains wrapped around the boys arm, piling up to around his elbow. He starting going into a faster sprint towards point B.

It was around this moment when Ezra had noticed that his teammates was headed toward a destination, presumably point B based on where he was running. He had even gone as far as to use chains made from his quirk to get there faster. Ezra figured that the situation must be dire for him to run there so quickly, so he decided that he would follow and ask him once they got there. Using his quirk to increase the speed at which his legs and feet moved, he managed to catch up to his accomplice, giving a nod of acknowledgement as he continued to run at the same pace as Roy.

Roy noticed Ezra right beside him running, he nodded back at him and continued, “They are battling over point C, though some have stopped fighting after losing the will too continue, also I didn't hear any buildings collapse yet or anything so I am going to point B to check it out. Donny could have gotten captured or something” Roy explained, they were about halfway to point B by now and could see it in the distance, it didn't seem like anything had happened to it yet. “Something isn't right, let's hurry.”
Ezra didn’t really want to respond, because he was focused on getting to the destination and continuously refreshing his perks effect. Whilst it wasn’t draining that much energy, it still took a high amount of concentration to keep up. An answer to his statement wasn’t necessary either, so he figured he’d trot along and hope that Roy knew that he took what he said seriously. Before long, they had reached their destination of point B, and what they saw was quite interesting. The building was still in tact for the most part. He didn’t really spot anything of note, though he had the feeling that there was a large quantity of enemies nearby.

“Looks like we’re here buddy. We can’t count on fat boy helping us, so I guess it’s us two as a duo at this point. We got a choice, we can either hunt down the enemies and then look for Donny, or we can search for Donny and then engage the enemy. I’m personally for the first one, that kid looks like it would take more than a beating to put him out of commission. I didn’t hear any drama about it like I did with the one with the gas mask, so I’m assuming he’s gonna be alright.” he spoke nonchalantly throughout the entire statement,
being as objective from a strategic standpoint as he could bring himself to be. Whilst he didn’t like the idea of leaving someone, he figured that this was a representation of proper decision making and looking for somebody in the middle of a battlefield before the calm has come was asking to be taken out of commision.

Roy nodded in agreement with Ezra, “Yeah if we can find the locations of the enemy and defeat them, it's one less thing to worry about, it's up to us right now. I highly doubt anyone from C will come to the rescue so let's make due...before we enter one thing to note is I will most likely attract the enemy if they are here.” Roy said as he put his arm in the air, the chains illuminated it was certainly an attention grabber. “So if you weren't going for the ‘kick the doors down’ approach then keep a short distance from me” he said has he entered the first floor. It was pretty dark but Roy was pretty much like an extra bright night light. It would be best to find the enemy before they find the two.

“I really don’t think going inside is a good idea. They’ve already been here for much longer than us, there’s no telling what they could have possibly set up. But if you believe we can win based purely on skill then I don’t see a problem.” he spoke as he rolled up his sleeves and grasped one of the rocks that was in his pocket. He didn’t want to have a disadvantage at ranged combat, especially one that was to his favor such as a narrow hallway. The conditions for combat for him were good, as long as he didn’t fall into any traps.

The duo continued walking throughout the building, with Ezra making a notch in the wall of every location that he had visited that was safe. He wanted to have an escape route in case of events that could foil his plans. They were searching for adversaries quite possibly on their highest guard, the amount of tension in the air being so thick that it couldn’t even be cut by a physical object, or a plasma cutter for that matter.

Lysander was still stuck in the ceilings and floors of the next three floors waiting for Jin when he heard something. Footsteps, followed by a bright light beaming around a corner. His eyes widened with surprise, did Mina somehow take out the slime thing and come back with Jett finally? ”Mina hey, just in time, I can feel this whole building shaking after that kid said he was taking it down! We're going to the top floor, hop on my back!” Lysander called out, leaning toward the corner to try to see who was coming. The wires on his legs were starting to pierce the stone beneath him, ready to start lifting whoever he was going to be carrying.

Roy stopped in his tracks, and held up the arm that wasn’t glowing to signal Ezra. He pointed towards the corner, it seemed like the enemy thought they were his ally.. He beckoned Ezra to take the lead in this and he will follow suite. This was the perfect opportunity to strike, while their guard was down. They didn’t have to search long either to find them, Roy mouthed, I’ll back you up.

Ezra nodded to Roy. He was finding himself enjoying working with his newfound comrade, especially because he was willing to take a backseat for him to do the main damage. He was able to gauge what Roy was saying. He figured that he would ditch the use of rocks for now, as he didn’t want to kill the kid from such a close distance. He already saw the position he was in when he peeked through the door, and saw him standing there with both his arms and legs stuck to the ceiling and floor. He chuckled at the sight. He couldn’t help but feel bad for the kid that he had dragged to the classroom upon arriving, what a twist of fate that had occurred to him. He figured he’d waste no time in trying to end the fight by charging at the red haired boy and clocking him around the jaw with an accelerated punch. He sped it up by just the margin where he would injure himself if he were to do it further.

Lysander was still smiling by the time Ezra ran up to him. By the time he had realized that it wasn’t Mina, Ezra was winding up for a punch and as he lowered his arms to block the hit, he found himself tensing up, his wires pulling him up into the air as the fist slammed directly into ribs, rattling the wires that were strung up for several floors. He tensed up immediately and collapsed the fourth floor in a circle, dragging it down to the third, the second with loud thuds signaling something heavy was collapsing above the red haired teen. The ground below him cracked a bit but the wires held him down but the cracks extended much further than they should have, even reaching as far as Roy. The building was falling apart from the ground up.

Roy began to follow up, he watched as Ezra connected a punch on the boys ribs right as he tried to escape. Roy made his move to follow up but as soon as he planted his foot on the ground, he felt the foundation of the floor begin breaking apart. “I think donny might have finished what he was doing” Roy said to Ezra. He watched as the boy pull himself up with some type of wire, Roy pulled the chains off from his arm and launched the chains around Lysander. Once it wrapped around nicely he pulled hard to heave him from his fixed position, ripping a large chunk of floor and dragging the collapsing rock above Lysander toward himself.

As Lysander flew forward, he released his wires and finally retracted them all the way, the concrete block that was below his feet now sliding along the ground, collapsing the floor beneath it, the concrete slabs that were snowballing larger every floor had started to breach the ceiling directly above Lysander and Roy, raining dust down on top of them. ”WHO EVEN ARE YOU?” He yelled to Roy. He wasn’t paying much attention during his introduction and was more focused on his own team, all he knew was that this was not going to end well.

Ezra noticed something about the current situation and felt a multitude of ways about it. Firstly, he felt that Roy was a fucking idiot for pulling him toward them and helping the enemy. Secondly, he felt like he had to do something about the current situation if he planned to carry on surviving. Seeing the rather large slab of concrete fly into him, he figured that he’d solve the problem the way he had always done it. With his fists… no wait, his legs. Accelerating his legs and pushing the strength of his calves and thighs to the maximum, he flat-footed the slab with all the strength that his legs could muster. Much to his surprise, he didn’t deflect the slab but completely shattered it into pieces. His foot was in quite a bit of pain due to the impact, but his shoe had absorbed most of the impact and boy was he glad that he had strapped his airmax today.

The bigger problem that was at hand however was the survival after the fact, Roy had the boy wrapped in chains, and he had nothing to lose at this moment in time. He figured that he’d take the charge at this moment and said to the two, even though one was an enemy, to follow him. Even though he was trying to win, he didn’t exactly want to be part of the responsibility for one of his classmates deaths. Running up the stairs, he hoped that he could reach a higher floor and jump out of the window before the building went underground and collapsed.

When Roy realized the wires had been attached thoroughly in the building...and the he pulled the anchor of them all he let out two words under his breath. “Oh shit..” As large slabs of concrete began falling, all around the group. The boy shouted at Roy questioning who he was but he just completely ignored that, there were bigger things to worry about. His eyes widened as a large slab flew at the group from above. Roy let go of the chains with his left hand prepared a gauntlet construct to break it apart, Ezra came in at the right moment completely turning the slab into dust. Goddam, note to self don’t get hit by Ezra, he watched as the rock shattered. Roy released the chains as this wasn’t this training exercise turned into survival test, “Time to go”. He saw Ezra and followed right behind him, anyone who could break rocks was good to stick around.

Lysander took a second to understand what was going on, the slab of concrete that was going to kill him was shattered with a single kick and he felt some blood dripping down his side but more than anything he felt the building shaking. It was obviously going down and it seemed his assailants had the right idea and he followed suit, skipping to the second floor not by the stairs but by pulling himself up with his wires through one of the many holes that were forming like spiderman. He even made a ‘thwip’ noise under his breath as he extended his wires. He saw Ezra on the stairs and made his way to him. ”Wait Ezra was that little underground guy actually trying to collapse this thing?!” He shouted over the sound of crumbling concrete and bending steel beams, trying to climb up the stairs too. Fighting wasn’t even on his mind, just survival.

Ezra didn’t really know what to say. He hadn’t paid attention in the meeting between his teammates because frankly, he didn’t exactly give a shit what his comrades were planning. He trusted people who were able to get into the school to think of their own plans and follow them. He simply thought of himself as the muscle and figured that the tactical issues would be solved by those who specialized in that area. He had however remembered Donny stating something about creating a grave or tunnelling. He realized that this might be the issue that they were currently in.

“It might be. I don’t really know the fat kid, but I don’t see how he could bring an entire fuckin’ office buildin down though. This is crazy man.” he spoke whilst continuing to run, looking for the nearest window once he had reached the floor that he had desired.

“We’re gonna jump out of this shit and we’re gonna live. I ain’t tryna die here, and neither are you if I have anything to say about it.”

Roy caught up to two right when Ezra asked about the guy underground, “Yeah, he said he could take point B, I guess this was partially his doing and also from those wires attached to you..” On the outside he didn’t look like someone who could topple a building but who knows, he saw Ezra stop at the window and stopped behind him. This guy said we were gonna jump out the building, “Forreal?!” Roy looked towards Lysander, “What can you do?!” He shouted over the crumbling.

Lysander took a moment. He realized that if he let them stay in the building they would probably die but the thought of everyone seeing him saving members of the other team brought a smile to his face. He turned to roy with the most smug expression he could muster. ”I’m a hero, I save people.” He said in the most rehearsed voice you could imagine. He lett all of his wires extend all the way out and saw it didn’t quite reach the floor now that they were so high up so he opted for the next best plan. He wrapped the wires around Ezra and Roy before using what remained to make a tight knit ball, wires acting as seat belts connecting them too the walls. ”Gentlemen, please keep your arms and legs inside of the vehicle at all times while it is moving. I recommend you get ready for any unexpected bumps as we are about to... Lysander paused, almost as if on queue the building gave out below them, sending the ball to the ground with a loud thud, the three boys bouncing a bit on impact with the ground and Lysander especially taking the brunt of the shock as all the wires went back to him.

It rolled a small way before stopping and Lysander unwound the ball and released Ezra and Roy and decided to approach the latter. ”I hope I didn’t disappoint.” He said, still smug. He was basking in the limelight unaware that nobody could see them. He had completely forgotten about the fact he had to fight to control the point due to the sheer rush of saving people from a collapsing building on his first day of being in the hero course. He struck a pose, wishing Mina were there to give him a nice silhouette with her quirk.

Right at that moment, a figure could be seen on the top floor of the building as it continued to collapse. They were watching the three students carefully, and when they landed in a ball of wires, the figure, started climbing down the structure, dropping down whole floors, using expertly pulled off bodyflips to cushion their falls and slow their momentum. When she reached ground level, the figure simply strolled out calmly as the building disappeared below ground behind her.

Now that they could see the figure, it was clearly an adult woman, in purple suit pants and a cream sweater. Her eyes looked perpetually closed and her smile perpetually sweet. She approached the group of three. ”Are you all alright?” She asked them, mild concern in her voice.

Ezra sighed. It was a pretty bad time for a teacher to show up. He was fairly sure that the woman wasn’t part of either side due to her mature appearance and pure ability. That made him certain he was fine to do what he was about to do, no matter how awkward he felt about it. Plenty of people had sneak attacked him in his time on this planet, and whilst he didn’t really like doing it due to the fact that he knew how it felt and the fact that the kid had just saved him a pair of new trainers, he felt it was necessary for his team to win. He was in Lysander’s blind spot for the most part, his back. He figured no matter how hard his bones were, rattling his brain would likely knock him out and probably wouldn’t cause him much pain.

Pulling back his fist, Ezra prepared a hard punch for Lysander’s head. He figured he could go about as hard as he did on his ribs due to his extremely hard bones, but it didn’t make him feel better about what he was about to do. He let his fist fly, putting the same amount of acceleration into it. It drained quite a bit of his energy at this stage due to the amount that he had used his quirk, and he figured he would only be able to use it for his next fight before he’d be completely out.

Lysander dropped in seconds, immediately falling to the floor after the punch to his skull. It hadn’t particularly hurt but because of the location, it immediately made him unconscious. Ezra didn’t feel good in participating in such a dick move but sometimes victory was more important than morals and this was one of those situations that he felt that it was appropriate. Nodding toward the teacher that had done a backflip and giving a thumbs up to show that they were ok, he looked at the unconscious Lysander with pity.

“Sorry bro, thanks for saving us and all but I feel better doing this than fighting you.” he spoke solemnly.

“Can you get some teachas to pick him up. I just want them to make sure that he doesn’t have a concussion or somethin’.”

The yellow haired boy was relieved that everyone had made it out of the building in one peace, a teacher came and asked if everyone was alright. Roy turned to the teacher and spoke up, “Yeah we're all fine....unscathed” he said as he head a blunt hit, from behind him. He turned a saw Ezra had clocked their savior in the back of his head. “Dude...the fuck man?” he said as the boy laid lifelessly on the floor. Roy scratched the back of his head.

The lady cocked her head, her facial expression not changing. Her eyes stayed shut, and her mouth stayed smiling. ”Smart move. I like your style. I’ll take the student to the nurse’s office myself. I am staff, after all. Say, you don’t happen to know where miss Kasuke and master Yang are, do you? They seem to have went missing,” the lady asked, as she scooped Lysander up and turned to the school building.

“Ain’t got a clue. If ya talking about the fat one, then he said somethin’ about tunnelling, but I dunno who the other one is.” he spoke, scratching his head. His memory tended to be pretty good, but he didn’t really regard the names of the other students as useful, so he didn’t think to himself to remember them.

”That must have been why the building collapsed. I’m going to assume they weren’t under there, because if they were, there’s nothing I can do. Besides, this is real Hero training, and if they made it to the class in the first place, there must be some promise in them. They must have escaped.”

With a parting shrug, the smiling woman carried Lysander to towards the nurse’s office.
