Whiskey

Summer 1, 12:00PM

It was a hot and sweltering afternoon. The Spring season has ended the day before, as the villagers are busy setting up vendors along the beach and Town Square for the Night Summer Festival. It was like any typical day of Willow's Valley, a heartwarming scene with grumpy old men cussing & swearing for their childrens & grandkids to do their jobs properly; the able-bodied ones carrying crates of goods, the others hammering their signboards on their stalls, and the younger ones who are more educated are busy jotting down the good and supplies .

Whiskey sat on the pier holding a fishing rod. It is the day of the festival, so it is a day off, just like almost every single buildings in the village. Blowing on those blisters and calluses from the whole morning of helping out, she repositioned her straw hat against the bright glare of the sun. She straightened out her purple T-shirt that has been stiffened from the summer heat. Her pet bird was kept at home for now, because she wouldn't want a roasted parrot after the festival. She took out a riceball from the picnic box, wolfing it down with a few bits of rice falling upon her dark shorts. It is her lunch break now, but there isn't any bite from her fishing rod. Even those fishes hate this weather... She thought, despite the fact that she was actually unskilled at fishing & just trying out for fun.

"Oh my god it's so hot..", the Librarian complained as she lugged a box of merchandise over to one of the stalls. She was glad that she decided to wear shorts instead of jeans today. It may be a day off for everyone, but as always the oldies were eager to get the festival all set up for tonight. While she understood that someone needed to help get the stalls ready, she didn't really like the prospect of that someone being her. "No you nitwit! That box goes behind the table, not on top of it!" The shouting had come from a nearby stall, but similar shouts were being made all over the place as though nearly everyone was doing their job incorrectly.

Now.. Rauha may be good at household duties, like cooking and cleaning; but lifting heavy objects and being shouted at by old people wasn't something she dealt with very well. Manual labour was completely out of the question if she was given a choice. She sighed in relief as she found the opportunity to escape the stall grounds for a lunch break. Sitting in a soft patch of grass under the shade of an old tree, she quickly brought out a sandwich and a book. She opened it to the bookmarked page and instantly became engrossed in it's contents, periodically taking bites out of her sandwich.

Will the Prince betray his father's wishes and marry the peasant girl or will he be bound by duty and be married to the scheming princess from the West? Such an intriguing tale indeed. Nobody was going to stop Rauha from finding out. Hopefully anyway.

Summer 1, Early in the morning

God he hated this job, especially on holidays. Barely getting up he started his day. First he went for a run around the village then he started doing push ups, sit ups, used weights doing sets stimulating different muscles and after 2 hours he hit the showers. Then he made a mighty breakfast with his special brand of spicy sausages, 3 scrambled flavored up with his own special mix of spices , fresh bread, tomato, cucumber, cheese, pepper and started his prayers:"God, I hope I get out of this dump soon. Damn my father for putting me here. I only have You to count on. Amen."-he finished and started eating his food. Getting up he got dressed in his usual black robes and put on his clerical collar. He than sat on the table after cleaning it, got out his latest custom vaping kit and started cleaning the parts separately, looking for any leakage. Refilling it then putting the places back together, everything setting being just right he inhaled deeply and left out of the door.

Summer 1, 12:00PM

"Good morning George"- he greeted a man carrying and opening crates, starting to prepare his stand.
"Morning to you too, father. You're up early today ain't ya father?"- he asked the bishop.
"Here's a true story George. Every morning God sneaks up to me bed, gets close to my ear and yells *WAKE UP UR LAZY ARSE SON, YOU GOT PEOPLE TO PREACH*"
"Hahaha, isn't that your father?"
"With how self righteous and stuck up he is, I wouldn't put it past him to think himself as God. Coming today for sermon George?"
"Sure. I was about to take a break anyway. Confession after?"
"My ears are open, heart forgiving and glass full of wine."
"I'll finish these crates then join ya over."
And with that he continued to the church. He greeted all his neighbors along the way informing them of the sermon. It usually lasted 10-15 minutes with him. If only his father saw him now. That old bastard preached for at least 80 minutes in a simple Tuesday. You see, many people attended the church daily so there was never a lack of ears to preach at.
Taking his vaping kit out he inhaled deeply just when he was passing by a girl sitting on the shade of a tree, reading a book. He recognized the girl. Her name was...Rauha if he wasn't mistaken. He took notice of her attending the church and she worked at the library. He always had a fantasy about librarians and the fact that there weren't many bangable chicks in this village to begin with.
"A pleasant morning today isn't it?"-he addressed the girl loud enough so she could hear.@Rekaigan

Kathy Han

Summer 1, 10:00 am

Yesterday was Kathy's 29th birthday and all she did to celebrate was eat cake with her family as they nagged her about how she was getting older and needed to find a husband soon so they could have grandchildren. They don't need to remind her that but it wasn't like there were a lot of potential suitors in this town. She tried not to dwell on her future which would probably consist of many cats.

Instead, she was excited for the Night Summer festival. The clinic was technically closed since it was a holiday, but Kathy still had a first aid kit handy in case anyone got injured in all the merrymaking. She also took the morning to clean, though that didn't take too long as she spends everyday keeping the clinic as tidy and sanitized as possible.

Unsure of what to do until the evening, she wandered around town square and watched the vendors set up. She gave polite greetings and smiles to those she made eye contact with. She sure loved town holidays.

Sierra

Summer 1, 12:00PM

Sierra had taken the day off to volunteer with helping set up for the Summer Festival and she was already regretting it. She felt that as a citizen of Willow's Valley, she needed to be present and to participate, to show that she was pulling her weight and making a contribution since she spent most of her time by herself up on the mountain digging. It miffed her to see so many people working so hard at something so utterly frivolous.

"No you nitwit! That box goes behind the table, not on top of it!"

Sierra slowly moved the box down to where 'George' had indicated, closing her eyes, and fighting back the urge to punch the elderly man in the teeth.

"Oh, by the way, I don't see you in church at all. There's a special festival sermon happening soon. We're getting back to work right after, so you better stick around," the old man said, grinning as if he'd successfully corrected Sierra's deviant ways.

Sierra clenched her teeth and her fists, "...fine..." This man was someone's father, Sierra reminded herself.

"I'll see you at the church then, I should change into my Sunday best!"" George said and waved as he went home.

Of course, it was too far to go back up the mountain, change, and come back, not that Sierra had any intention to dress nice for 'God'. Not that she had anything to dress nice in anyways. She sighed and shambled over the the church.

10:00am

Emma had awoken an hour prior, and already fixed breakfast for her and her father, Paul. She had made 3 eggs over-easy (2 for him, 1 for her), sautéed garlic spinach, and some roasted red potatoes. All from their own garden, and lovely town. She smiled as her father came down the stairs, "Good morning!" She chirped, and sat down with her plate stating to eat as he grabbed his own out of routine. He nodded his head, clearly tired. "You have to help with the decorations today" Her father grunted, slowly eating the food she had made by the spoonful. She puckered her lips in distaste, "Yeah...I know..." She pushed around some of the food, before taking a forkful of her spinach. She cleared her plate rather quickly, realizing her father was in one of his moods already. She walked over - kissing him on the cheek, and disappeared through the front door.

12:00pm

She panted heavily, as she stood atop the ladder - placing the last bit of flowers in the planters atop the awning into the town. Her and her father supplied the town with flowers for all the festivals, the Mayor always shelled out extra money for the 'best' flowers. So they worked year round on a special garden of flowers for all of the events. Constantly tending, cutting, planting flowers for the next event. She wiped some sweat from her brow, and mused enthusiastically at her work. It was full of deep reds, blues, and purples. To Emma - what symbolized a rich sunset in the town. As she took a small break from rearranging the flowers, she looked around to see the Village moving about and getting more things ready for the festival.
"Kathy!" Emma called out, waving her down, "how are you?! How are things going? You aren't short on any herbs for your medicines right?" She yelled out, her and her father happened to supply the clinic with a few herbs that weren't found around in the forests locally.

"Mmm...Five more minuteeessss" Reina groaned into her pillow, refusing to open her eyes. She had awoken to a persistent tug at the bottom of her pajama pants. Standing on two legs, with two paws against the mattress for support, little razor blade teeth nipped at her ankle and tried to rip a hole into her pants.

"Knock. It. Off." Reina opened one eye reluctantly, meeting her icy blue orbs with playful little green eyes staring back at her. They were locked in a stare down for a few seconds before the little six month old black german shepherd wiggled it's butt and let out a loud, high pitched, "RrrrrrUUUFFF!!" and with that, the puppy bolted out of the room like a bullet shot from a barrel.

Reina couldn't help but laugh as she watched up the pup run down the hall way, sliding sideways into a wall when he took a turn too quickly on hardwood floor. "You goof." She giggled, finally sitting up in bed and stretching her arms out. "I guess I'm up..." She mummbled, looking at the alarm clock on her night stand. "NOON ALREADY?!" She jumped up from bed and hurried just as quickly down the hall as the german shephard had and into the bathroom. She needed to shower and get ready quickly if she wanted to be there for all the fun of the Summer Festival.

"Alright Bruno, let's go." She leaned down and attached a black leash to the dogs collar. Bruno could barely hold still, his tail wagged in every direction. Reina shook her head, "You'd think you would get bored of this after awhile... I take you everywhere!" She opened the door and Bruno was the first one out, pulling gently against the leash to get Reina to walk faster.

When they finally reached the town square Bruno had simmered down a bit, finally deciding it was better to walk beside Reina rather than to constantly pull against the leash and wear himself out in the heat. "Looks like most people are already finished setting up for the day..." She thought, looking around at all the shops that had been set up. Her eyes trailed a group of people heading into the church and her mind instantly went to her father. He loved this festival, and he loved church. She wasn't really one for religion, but her father had always forced her to attend services when she lived here. Perhaps she should go, just this once, if only in his honor. "Dad would probably be rolling in his grave if I didn't at least show my face there, since it's the festival and all..." She looked down at Bruno who was busy trying to catch a fly buzzing around his head. "What do you think, Bruno?" She asked, briefly wondering if she had gone crazy since moving back here only three months ago. She was constantly talking to this dog as if he could respond to her... perhaps it wasn't a good thing to be spending most of your time alone in your house, or alone remodeling the bar.

On the bright side, tonight was going to be a great night. It was to be the Raven & Bard's reopening! When she had returned, the place had been so out dated that she just HAD to remodel the place. It had taken up most of her savings and a good chunk out of her inheritance, but hopefully it would be worth it. People were especially likely to come to the bar during the Summer Festival, so she planned on it being a busy night. Hopefully, or all her work would have been for nothing...

"Okay, let's go... for dad." She sighed and made her way with Bruno towards the church. Or at least she tried, until Bruno saw something more interesting and pulled her off in that direction.

"Bruno!" She wasn't quick enough, the pup walked right up and onto a woman's lap, picking up some food that had dropped onto her shorts. "I'm so sorry!" She scooped up the small dog into her arms and lightly tapped him on the nose. "No, Bruno. We don't do that!" She frowned and looked at the young girl, who she didn't recognize. "Sorry, again. He's still a work in progress." @Noodles

Craig Vossen

Today was a day off for just about everyone, but for Craig Vossen, no day was truly a day off. Craig was among the people setting up their own little stalls to take advantage of the festival period. If it were any other day, he might have had his assistant helping him out with this all day long, but even though he could be demanding, Craig wasn't so cruel as to expect the world of his employees on a holiday. She was elsewhere by now, but Craig was still tending to his own tasks. It would not do for him to slack off at such an opportune time; festive seasons were always great for business, even for such a small place like this. Craig had made a commitment to make a profitable venture out of his tiny store, and today would just be another stepping stone on the road to that goal.

At this very moment, Craig was arranging the selection of goods he had brought down from the store specifically for this day. He had made arrangements to have plenty of festival memorabilia created just for today. If there was one thing he knew about celebrations, it was that people loved to buy something to mark the occasion. If he was lucky, there might even be a tourist or two passing through for the festival, and Goddess only knew how much they liked to spend on these. All in all, today represented a perfect opportunity for rampant, exploitative capitalism, and Craig was going to milk it for all it was worth.

Connor had started his day early as he always did. Instead of working in his shop he was setting up a booth for the festival, his mini wooden sculptures were often in high demand at the festivals. He'd hand engraved his business name onto the sign for his stall, showing off more of his artistic ability. A lot of his work was mending fences or other broken structures at the local farms but he was really talented at making children's toys and other things.

He had made some mini wooden sculptures in anticipation of the festival but now he was doing what he truly enjoyed. He was wearing a pale blue shirt and jeans with heavy work boots, sitting at his booth with his chisel set laid out neatly in front of him. He took a block of wood and looked around, finally picking an unwitting model he patiently shaved off bits of the wood as he made a life like representation of the villager he was observing. He finished it and started to work on another, he would do this throughout the festival, catching villagers in various acts and memorializing it forever in his wood carvings.

Sᴏᴘʜɪᴀ MᴄCʟᴀɪɴ // The Innkeeper

It was extremely too hot for her own pleasure.

Sophia had woken up particularly early on this day because she knew that the inn was going to be busy, due to the holiday festival coming up. She had managed to eat some breakfast and got ready just in time for her to walk towards the inn, her inn now. As she scurried towards the inn, she had her head held high and smiled brightly while offering people within her passing small waves. Sophia did not really have time to talk to anyone. She was a little bit too determined to make it on time so that she could help out her employees anyway possible.

Whenever she entered the inn, it was not quite as busy as she had thought. She waved towards her available employees with a smile and greeted them with a soft hello as she placed her belongings within the appropriate area. "Not as busy as expected, huh?" Sophia muttered towards Cecilia, her check in and check out cashier. Cecilia shook her head while proceeding to type away on the computer nearby.

Sophia grabbed her clipboard and did her daily rounds, checking on certain areas along with the staff, who seemed to be doing well. She proceeded her rounds by going to the kitchen, loving the aroma that filled the air around her. "Smells good, Pete." She complimented her cook as Pete smiled towards her now. She exited the kitchen then went back up front as she dropped the clipboard onto the counter and tapped it with her pen.

"Everything seems to be ready for today." She muttered towards no one in particular as she scooted by Cecilia so that she could check a few things out on the computer but as soon as she did so, a group of people started to bombard the inn. "Well, here we go." Sophia said loud enough for only Cecilia to hear her as they traded places. Sophia welcomed the crowd to the inn and asked who was all attending the festival, or here for it anyway. Many spoke up about it while others just looked at her.

With a firm nod of her head, she went back around the counter and started to help Cecilia out by checking in guests. When that was done, she went around and applauded her whole entire crew then went over towards the desk. "I'll be right back. I'm going to go and watch people set up for the festival." Sophia said as she grabbed her belongings, her purse especially then scurried out of the inn and started for a trek towards the area where people were setting up for the festival, loving the creativity that almost everyone was coming up with.

Fabron Smith

The sweat caressed the bronze-skinned blacksmith as a wife would to her husband. Situated closely along the beach helping the village with its festivities by constructing stands and stalls around the clock, weathering his steel hammer. The hand wiped clean the forehead off the caress of the wife to prevent his eyes from an unnecessary sting whilst admired the work that is in front of him.

"Thank you Fabron for your assistance."
Fabron's instincts allowed him to respectively bow towards the villager.
"For someone who works this night and day, it's only fair. You're most welcome!"

Fabron continued to assist the other people nearby whom required some help setting up their stalls one by one.

Whiskey

"Eh?" Whiskey is surprised to see a puppy appearing suddenly and eating the leftover food. She hasn't seen Bruno before, even when she is familiar with the stray dogs. Even this dog doesn't like the weather... For the moment, she was glad that it wasn't a cat. Cats have eaten her first pet bird years and years ago, and she would've thrown Bruno down the ocean had he been a cat. She turned around to see a face that she barely recognises.

"Oh its okay, Haven't seen you around here, you are...?"

Whiskey asked, she have only been in Willow's Valley for 3 years, and Reina hasn't returned long enough to make any impression on her. @The Muse

Summer 1, 12:00 p.m.

Kathy heard her name being called, and turned to see Emma, the town's florist. She waved back and made her way to the florist so she would not need to yell. "No, I have plenty for now," Kathy said while she shook her head. She still had not used up the last batch she ordered from them. The weather has been nice lately and not too many people were getting sick. "I'll be sure to let you know as soon as I need more though."

"I'm doing fine.. Another year, another lecture about settling down and having children," Kathy said with a defeated look but quickly regain her composure. "How are you and your father? The flowers are looking beautiful as always." She motioned over the flowers that were used to decorate the town square. Kathy was always grateful that flowers were much more appreciated in Willow's Valley than they were in the city. Emma and her father always did grow the best flowers in Kathy's opinion.

'And so the Prince had to decide. Was he to follow his heart? Or was he to follow the laws and expectations of his kingdom? "Father, I mu-"' Just as she got the the good part of the book, a voice pierced the wonderful silence that she had experienced for the past few minutes. Rauha looked up from her book, only to see the Bishop of the town's church. "It's.. afternoon though, Father." She remarked wittily, giving the Bishop a cheeky smirk. She had always thought of him as a strange fellow, but he seemed nice enough. But even then, she didn't really like it when people interrupted her reading time.

"What brings you out here? Shouldn't you be.. preparing a sermon or something?" She inquired. She wasn't much of a religious person, so she didn't attend services very often. It's not that she didn't respect the Goddess, it's just that she didn't think her prayers do anything since it was more of a farmer thing. Or she just assumed it was a farmer thing. Who knows.

@Noodles

Reina breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily the young girl didn't seem too annoyed by Bruno's playful antics. She had almost forgotten how forgiving and nice people were in Willow Valley, especially in comparison to the city she had been living in.

"I'm Reina." She gently set Bruno down and shortened his leash a bit so he couldn't climb on top of the girl again. "It's nice to meet you!" She smiled and outstretched her hand for a handshake. "I don't think I've seen you around here either.." She paused to think, then laughed a bit, "Then again, I've mostly been locked up remodelling my dad's old pub, so I've barely seen anyone lately."

Bruno let out a little whimper, pulling against the leash in another direction and staring at a curly haired man who was nearby helping out other shopkeepers. Clearly, Bruno was bored and wanted a new friend to play with now. Reina briefly glanced in the direction Bruno stared, noticing the man she recognized as Fabron Smith. She had grown up with him here in Willow Valley, but it had been a long time since they had spoken. She wondered if he remembered her.

Turning back to the girl in front of her, she smiled, "Hey, if you're of drinking age, you should come check out the Raven & Bard tonight! It's the grand reopening!" She grinned with pride, "Or," She finally took a moment to assess if the girl actually looked like she could legally drink. "you could stop by to enjoy the live music. We have a band playing tonight and most night's it'll be an open mic for anyone."

Fabron Smith

"Thank you Fabron!"
"We appreciate your assistance. Thank you so much!"
"You're very generous with your efforts, Fabron. You're welcome any time during the festival hours!"
Seeing those delighted faces helped Fabron work a grin on his face, followed by gentle laughter that bopped the brunette's head out of internal habit. The smile of the face from those whom he had helped. It is the most beautiful sight to behold upon a small remote village. A sign that his work and effort will always be appreciated--but most importantly-- a sign that he was at home. His side turned and strode over closer towards the coastline where he allowed the breeze to kiss his bronze cheeks and waves of water to envelop his booted feet, just below the shin. The eyes gazed into the horizon, slowly panning from the left to right as if expecting if there would be fishes leaping out of the water. That would be a great spot to fish.
Speaking of fishing...
A glint of light. So fine that he'd almost miss it if he hadn't any experience with fishing. A line was cast and the emeralds saw by the pier a couple of girls on the side and a brave Mudi puppy gazing directly at his aura, clearly interested in what he had to offer for play. Fabron didn't mind dogs or cats-- so long as they weren't in the workshop. The workshop poses too many risks for domestic pets.
There is a set of stairs nearby the side of the pier and he made a last-minute decision to see what was up with the girls and to see if she had caught any fish... Or play with the dog. His pace was sure and steady. The closer he got towards the girls and the puppy, the more excited it seems to become and the clearer were the identity of those girls with a pleasant surprise.
"That's..." His thought paused and out comes a shout; "Rei!"
What previously was a casual stride quickly become an overjoyed sprint across the wooden planks which sent strong vibrations and distinct thunk sounds as his feet planted firmly to anchor his momentum forward and promptly arrived his destination.
"My God! Its been years!" He pulls her in for an affectionate hug, smothering her over the slightly-damp shirt he was wearing. "When did you come back?" He noticed the leash that was attached to her hands that prevented the puppy from storming off into the distance. "That's your dog too?" He released Reina from his grips and leaned forward with his hands resting his knees looking at the puppy intently. "Hello there little guy! How you doin'? Being a good boy aren't ya?" He lowered himself further and carefully to decrease his overall size and offered a hand forward to introduce himself to the puppy.

"My watch must be back by a little."- he said as he checked his open wrist which certainly head no watch in it then he looked up and gave a laugh while rubbing the back of his head with a hand. But to be fair, this was the earliest he has ever gone to church in his time on this village.

"What brings you out here? Shouldn't you be.. preparing a sermon or something?"

"Yes, I was just on my way when I noticed a lost sheep in need of the guidance of God."- he said the last part in a mock fashion.
"Well that's just what my father would have said anyway. But still, will you join us for the service this day? There is wine testing in the end and I bought a couple of 30 year old barrels just for this occasion."

Later after finishing the conversation with her..

The Bishop enters the church where people are waiting him. Not many of them as they are busy with making preparations for the festivities, not that he cares as he doesn't expect nor make it mandatory to come here, not that he could. Some people acknowledge him, as he walks down to the altar, by saying "Father" and he responds with a courtly nod. He has put up a large poster of the harvest goddess in front of the Jesus statue, completely covering it out of view. He walks behind the the podium that is made of white stone decorated with golden linings and crosses, he turns his back on the people behind him and puts his hand on his inner pocket of the robe subtly taking out his vaping kit and taking a few whiffs. He blows the smoke downward so it isn't visible from behind and turns around only when he hears a dry cough permeating the quiet church. He turns back to the others and puts his hand over his mouth as he clears his throat once.
"We are all gathered here today in honor, in respect of the Harvest Goddess. Yes this is a festivity but the origins of such events are what make them special so it is of the utmost importance.."-he said the last word while raising his right hand slightly-"to know and constantly remember the origins of days such as this."
He had a rough idea of the history of the goddess and how it all originated..searched it up on google besides* reading about it in some books found at the library. Not much information to begin with except one story that everyone knew but has started to be forgotten.
"Hundreds of years ago, when the people that made this village moved here, the land was dry, rain time was rare and the animals few. Many people tried to make this land habitable and all of them failed. The well that was dug ran dry after a few days. The crops that were planted withered and died only after a few nights and the animals that the villagers brought with them when they moved to this land were on their way to starving to death. One day, a young girl came to the village's doorstep. Her hair was white as snow, her skin fair and her eyes were a jade green. An otherworldly creature indeed set aside from the others by her beauty alone, and as they were to find out, also by her kindness and generosity."-he ended while taking only a moment's pause before continuing.
"This visitor came to the village and saw a crying woman with a child in her hands. She asked the woman what was wrong and the woman replied that they had gone days without water and she feared for the well being of her child. As soon as she heard this the young girl put her hand on the woman's face and collected a tear that was falling from her eye. The girl then went to the well and dropped the tear in. No sooner she had done this the ground shook and trembled, getting everyone out of their houses only for them to witness the pillar of water that emerged from the well."- taking another deep breath he then continued.
"Seeing the people happy and full of hope pull a smile on the girl's face and with that smile she continued to the outskirts of the village where a man, far from the commotion in the village lay kneeled on the ground, a fistful of dirt on one hand and a bagged seed on the other. She asked the man what troubled his heart as he told her of his story. How he moved from his previous home because his daughter had passed away. She found joy in nature and always wanted to help it grow. The seed he was holding in his hand was the one his daughter found just before she passed on. The man had hoped to plant the seed in his new home so that her memory may never be forgotten. The young girl approached the man and took the seed which the man gave reluctantly. He watched in silence as the girl planted the seed on the ground and not a moment later a whole forest lay before them. The forest surrounded the whole village as lush greenery took over the desert wasteland. The first tree that anyone saw when they entered the forest was the biggest one, one that had the face of the man's daughter on the front. The man's eyes filled with tears as he took the girl's hand on his own while tears streamed down his face. Thank you, he said on and on before moving on to his daughter's tree."-2/3 way done, one more part.
"The young girl then went further away from the village into the forest that she had just created. There she spotted a young boy playing by himself in the wild. He seemed happy and eager to enjoy this newly created miracle all to himself but then he fell to the ground and adored a sad face. Why the sad face, she asked the boy. He responded by showing her his drawings in the ground. Figures of many animals and birds. He said that everything was quiet and he felt lonely. To that, the young girl put a hand over the boy's and pressed it on the drawing of a bird. Lifting both their hands a bird appeared to the boy's amazement. The bird flew upwards to the sky where hundreds of other birds came down from the clouds as they made the forest their new home. Along with the birds came the insects as the forest felt alive again and many other animals. The boy watched the girl and with an innocent smile thanked her before running off to play."- and with that he was done.
"This is the story of the Goddess of Harvest. One that our people should know and never forget. Stories like these give meaning to and make days special. Whether you believe it or not, it is a fact that on this day, many years ago, everything took a turn for the better for our ancestors. This may also be considered as a day of new beginnings."- all and all this whole service took about 10+ minutes.
"Now that we're done with that...how about some drinks!"- and on that note a couple of men and women cheered. Hell, the only reason they came might've been just to taste the wine.
The Bishop signaled one of the young priests to open the casks and fill everyone a glass. He let the barrel open if they wanted more.

Sierra couldn't believe she had sat through the entirety of the childish fairy tale that passed for a sermon. And to make matters weirder, the priest was breaking out the booze. Sierra couldn't help but smirk at that, at least the bishop had a sense of humor. Still, Sierra was a no-alcohol sort of person, believing that the spirit dulled the mind and squelched work ethic. Some would say that Sierra was too stiff and didn't know how to socialize or engage in revelry, and well, they would be right.

There was still work to be done, but there was no point starting until the majority of these church-goers got back out and began making requests for help, so Sierra decided to just loiter and people watch.

Whiskey

"I'm Whiskey," Whiskey shook Reina's hands in response, "I wasn't born here, have only settled in for 3 years, that's probably why we didn't know each other haha ~" Whiskey smiled, stretching out her hand and patting on the dog Bruno. There is a pub in Willow's Valley? She pondered, her eyes showing slight confusion, but if there is one, it will be good thing for her in a few years time.

Raven & Bard? That place has been abandoned for ages. It has never crossed upon Whiskey's mind that the shabby hut would reopen for business. And she had thought that the boss & the pub is gone for good, and now she is seeing the daughter who is succeeding her family business. "Sounds good, will be sitting down the bar for music later, maybe in a few years I would be there for some shots of whiskey,"

"Hey, Mr Fabron," Whiskey, like the usual, addressed Fabron with an honorific, due to the age gap and his seemingly older appearance. "Nothing much at the shop lately, no broken tools nor anything to fix ~ Just unsettled tabs here & there to collect after the festival---" She was rather surprised to see such expression on the blacksmith. It wasn't very often for Whiskey to see such a scene from a patient blacksmith like Fabron. However long Reina's away, it must be at least a decade or so...
