Finch

It was rapidly turning out that coming to this show was not worth it. More Epics seemed to be showing up with every second, only exacerbating the sort of chaos that Dragon Heart had wanted to avoid, if Finch did not miss his guess. Sure, he was more restrained about it. But others were spreading panic far beyond the location of the actual fight. The Epic letting his arm get bitten didn't exactly help calm anyone down, even if his limb was surprisingly intact.

"This is what I get for playing nice," Finch muttered to himself, resisting the urge to rub his forehead in exasperation. At least everyone was gone, and he could return his glass constructs to their original state.

Not soon enough though, as he found himself with an unpleasant welcome from someone who was very familiar. Finch didn't forget a nuisance. "Not right now," he replied as the Snapper became even more agitated because of the manhandling it was receiving and further provocation. "I think we're all a bit busy at the moment." His glass powers kicked back in as he formed two batons, staying out of the way of the harebrained scheme that the other Epics had thought up, and bracing himself for when it didn't work. There was crazy, and then there was monumentally stupid, and this plan fit the latter more than the former.

"I'm gonna be real honest, I don't know what Mario 64 is." He said, flames washing over the Vice Claw. He couldn't really tell whether it was his fire or not, but it didn't matter at this distance.

Swinging around it around didn't seem like the best idea. Alto would get dizzy long before it did. It didn't seem like slamming it against the ground would do too much because the underside of turtles was usually armored as well. Even though he hadn't really gotten a good look he wasn't going to bet on it. There was one thing that did work on almost any living creature, actually.

The lines had been blurred somewhat with all the new monsters running around but most living organisms still needed to breathe oxygen. The turtle probably had nostrils for a reason besides smell, after all.

"You better get back, it's about to get hotter." He said to the girl.

More flames surged up from within the turtle's mouth, and they started to engulf its head. He only needed to block its throat and nostrils so there wouldn't be too much fire. He seemed to remember somebody saying something about turtles being able to breathe through their anus but it might've been a different animal. Either way he was going to find out.

Anomaly

"You don't have to tell me twice!" Anomaly shouted as she ran behind a nearby car, crouching behind it while still watching the fight go down, ready to provide support if she had to. Honestly, the idea of Mario 64'ing this guy into a nearby building sounded kind of dumb anyway, but god dammit that would've been fun as Hell. There probably was another idea that she could suggest though, and it actually made more sense than the previous idea. "Hey, what if we used water on it?"

Anomaly was thinking pretty rationally about it. That thing was about to breathe goddamn fire, and while cramming a fire hose down the throat of a giant turtle was a bit risky, Anomaly could probably do it if she was the one with the hose. "Hose, pond, whatever source of water, maybe it could keep the thing from spewing fire?" Anomaly's hands were far away from the tail of the beast by this point, rather moved over to her side. She could've dispelled them, but she kept them close in case she needed to swat some fire out of the sky... which she refused to think about any more.

Ace was already preparing for a showdown when Dragon Heart suddenly threw him into the crowd, almost knocking off his hat in the process. What the fuck, he was supposed to be the good guy! As Ace got up and regained his bearings he noticed the other guy had beaten down Dragon Heart and was running away, not only that but Dragon Heart was just gonna let it happen! Ace stomped towards Dragon Heart angrily and had to hold himself back from slugging the older Epic to the floor like the coot he was. "The next time ya do some addle-headed shit like that I will beef ya, hero or not. Ya understand me partner?" Ace didn't bother listening to whatever response Dragon Heart may have had, running towards his motorcycle to chase down the coot who caused this mess.

"Oh blazes no, I'm not lettin' ya get away that easily!" Ace yelled in anger as he jumped on his motorcycle and started it up, already turning towards where he saw Blacklight running towards. He wasn't gonna be contributing much in regards to the turtle, so he might as well catch a criminal while he's around. "Out of the way folks, I got a bandit to beef!" Ace exclaimed as he went speeding off in the direction Blacklight ran, firing in the air to let people know to get the fuck out of the way. "There's no how some low life bandit is gonna get away me and my hoss!" He shouted in the direction of Blacklight as he began to speed up to catch up with the criminal scum.

Magus looked around him as the bandit who had barely escaped from him the last time they met said that they were all busy at the moment. The crowd had dispersed, Blacklight had left after throwing Dragon Heart to the ground, and the snapper was being handled by other Epics. Still, it would be better to deal with the bigger threat of the snapper or take his quarrel with this robber somewhere else where they wouldn't get in the way of those fighting the giant turtle. He stared at this robber for a moment before saying, "I'm not done with you," and turning to help deal with the turtle.

"Might I suggest putting him back in the water?" Magus said to the Epics surrounding the turtle. "No offense, but none of you seem to be accomplishing anything more than making it angrier, which I think is exactly what we don't want to do."

Steve

Location: alley across Heroes' Café
interacting with: Buildings

Aaaand I'm naked. Only his baggy blue trousers remained as his boxershort, while his other clothers were completely destroyed. As he continued to keep growing he suddenly felt his back and butt touch the building behind him. Within seconds he was stuck between the buildings. As he kept growing he pushed the buildings apart with his body. Sorry people... Luckily the buildings didn't collapse under the pressure. On the other hand, he was now stuck, giant and naked for everybody to see. He couldn't bend his legs like this.

Somebody opened a window: "Hey big guy! Would you mind not pushing against the building?! There are people in here!"
Steve's answer came out like a deep rumble: "Ehrm, Sorry Sir. I'm a little stuck...
You might want to evacuate the building."
"We've got people in here hiding for the harpies! We are not going outside at the moment. You got us in this situation, you figure it out!"

Internally, Steve shrunk of shame. But his body stayed the same giant size. There we go again.. What are my options?
1) Wait until someone with lots of butter comes along and slide out.
2) Push the building over and kill all these people.
3) Force myself to squat position and probably also kill people.
4) Give a slight push against the building and hope it doesn't collapse and then move down and sideways slowly and controlled.
5) Ask for help from other epics.

Steve didn't want to kill anybody, but was too ashamed to ask for help. So he decided to try the limits of the building. It only had to be a little. His skin was as thick as a brick wall at the moment, so he could handle a little skinburn if necessary.
He pushed a little..
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" The man at the window was furious and scared at the same time.
"sorry sir, just a little."
The building moved 20 more cm without collapsing. That would be enough.
Oh shit. Suddenly Steve realised that the base of the building wouldn't give in as easily, so he would probably get stuck again if he went down. He had to go either sideways or up. Sideways then. Slowly and with his full attention, Steve balanced between not destroying the building, and moving sideways. It took him 10 minutes. But then he finally reached the side. Only ten meters below him was the ground. His mind wasn't used to these heights, but logic dictated that is should be possible. 10 meters for a 20 meters tall giant, was proportionally only 1 meter for a normal human. He looked out for any people below, but when he saw the area was clear, he let go. The impact of his feet on the street could be felt and heard by everybody in the area. His body could handle the impact without trouble. The street, not so much. Two big feet were now imprinted in the street. The buildings around him shook, but survived. Barely though. Steve took a deep breath. That was that
Releasing his sigh, he accidentally shattered two glass windows with the aircurrent created by his breath.
Stay focused Steve. Stay focused.

Heroes Cafe - Harpies

Alex opened a portal directly into Roxana's bedroom. "Please. Go change and come back through in armor. For me.

"Is it safe to come out?" Roxana looked down. "There's ceiling?"

"Of course. You're in the Cafe, and I have a portal right next to you to get you home to save your pretty clothes," Alex laughed slightly.

She held on to Alex' arms, crouching slightly as she came out into her room. Five minutes of undressing and a little cuddling with her plush dog later, Spectrum walked out, glowing slightly white. "OK, what do I have to do?"

"Something is wrong with those Harpies. But I can't get to their nest."

"Up high...?" Spectrum shifted uneasily from one foot to the other

"In the building, yes. I think that's what that meant."

The mask's eyes narrowed. "I get what up means. It's just... Close to the sky..." Spectrum wrapped her arms around herself. It wasn't easly to get that image of a wide, gasping space out of her head.

"Just into the building. Please, Rox. I can't. I can't. I can't," Alex said, shaking her head furiously.

Spectrum found her courage, and hugged her friend. "I gotta go up and find out what the problem is, right?"

"Yes. They're not right. And we're just pissing them off more."

"OK," Spectrum said, taking three steps and lifting into the sky on a shade of bright blue. The building was mostly apartments, with a single floor left separate between the people and the harpies. A lot of middle-class or lower buildings had the same arrangement, though the rich paid absurd amounts of money to have the harpies chased from their penthouse homes. The empty floor, called 13 even if it was only 9 storeys up, was where she landed. It was dusty, and empty, but she heard a strange sound...

Going white both to illuminate and to be ready with a shield, she walked through the empty building to find... A crackle of blue lightning from a floor above. She only caught a glimpse, but that was enough for her to know. It was one of the scarier monsters in the City. A man-eater, and she threw herself backwards out of the building in fright. She stopped, hovering about four feet away from a giant Epic's face. She could probably sit on his shoulder like a little fairy, she thought, giggling a little at the thought.

"Um, hello," she said to him, watching the footprints he left in the tarmac heal. "Could you lend me one of your hands?"

Dragon Heart - Central Park

"Fuck," Dragon swore, rolling the word out into a long, long groan. Blacklight was a jackass. Hopefully he wouldn't have trouble tonight after that, though the little shit probably would laugh himself sick if that ruined Dragon's date. He rolled to his feet, staggering over to Magus, one of the few Epics he related to. The guy, despite his powers, always kept his head on straight, unlike the pair wrestling the snapper. Was that Vice? Kid should know better.

Dragon clapped a hand to Magus' shoulder. "Morning, Magus. We missed you at the rat thing the other night. Lady or criminal keep you busy?" At least one of the Epics, a woman close to his age with Ray-man hands, had been smart and backed off. Vice, on the other hand...

"Hey, Vice, no point showboating it!" He yelled over. "Magus is right! Just leave it alone and keep everyone back!"

Devilstrider noticed the giant. He looked at him, mouth agape. He had seen a lot of things, but never a nude giant. Well, mostly nude. It did wear boxers. He shook his head and then cocked it sideways. He heard a commotion coming from inside the building. He sped down the side of the building and blasted a window out with a blast of aura, the glass shatter in all direction, against a shield he had put up you go brain, inward and to the side. Sped through the window and paused. There was what could only be described as a giant gecko eating Harpies. It was blue, dark blue with skin as smooth as an eel. The only thing that seemed to be sharp about it was its teeth, which he got a really good look at as it ate harpies, needle sharp. At the back of its skull were rounded ram horns and its claws looked a bit blunt to Damon. Black eyes. It had ten short legs and it moved like a centipede, or maybe a snake. Its black eyes locked onto a Harpy and it moved quickly to pin it down with its two front legs, eating it whole.

Well, I've found the trouble. There were a couple ways he could handle this, one of which was letting someone else deal with it, but the goal was to get it to stop making the harpies crazy. In order to do that he had to convince it that there was something better on the menu. Or, well, kill it. That would work too. I wonder if I taste like chicken he thought. Luckily the bloodlust within had died down. He was himself and not fighting the urge to rip into something. After he had assessed the situation he gathered Aura in his palms and blasted the gecko monster.

"Here kitty," he said. It didn't like that, the thing turned its black eyed gaze on him and hissed. Or roared. It was somewhere in between, but it was intimidating all the same. This is such a good plan.

And that was that. The adrenaline was still pumping, but now it was going to be alright. The people were safe, well from him at least. He inspected his shoulder where small wounds were visible where the harpy had grabbed him. That would heal within days. He took another deep breath, this time careful not to break any windows, and looked around. He felt calmer now. Also fairly indestructable. Everybody had seen him already by now. Maybe he could grab a few of those harpies and stop them from causing mayhem. That should be fairly easy for a giant like him, shouldn't it? ..right?

At that moment a little fairy appeared in front of his face. It was so close he had to take a step backwards to be able to see it normally. Him? Her. The voice gave her away. Ofcourse she was here to fight the harpies. Not sure how he could be of use to her, he replied: "Sure." His voice bellowed through the street. The Giant slowly lifted his hand right under the fairy to form a platform for her to stand on. "How can I help?"

The criminal was nervous for a few moments, up until Magus decided that he had better things to do than harass him. Like, for example, actually being useful in this particular problem that they had going on right now. Good for him, at the very least. It would make getting away easier.

He found himself with not much to do at the moment. Most of the people had run off after the whole incident with someone getting bitten by the Snapper, so it was mostly a matter of making sure the Snapper didn't move further to a spot where there were actually people now. But as everyone else had pointed out the current plan wasn't working, so getting him out of here would be for the best. Hopefully someone listened.

As if his day couldn't get any better, he soon found Dragon Heart walking over to talk to Magus of all people. What were the odds of that? Slowly he began moving away, if only in case Magus decided that he didn't want to leave it be for now and Finch suddenly had two Epics on him. Not that a few feet would make a difference, but it was better than nothing.

Guilt & the High Island //

collab between me and @regitnui

Laughter resounded in the box, echoes redoubling on themselves until they were a cacophonous racket indiscernable from thunder or falling rocks.

{Tell me, Maya Day, when was the last time you worried about ants killing termites? You have the courage to stand there and demand a god to prove anything to you? My goodwill should be evident enough in your continued existence.}

Guilt gritted her teeth beneath her mask. He'd said it again. "My name is Guilt. And people are not ants." It appeared she had been correct after all. Just another mere human, intoxicated by power, convinced they were a god. No wonder they rarely acted, they believed the concerns of the world were not theirs. "There is no mercy in sparing a weapon. Release me and I will continue my task. Kill me and I will die." She was uncertain of where to direct her glare, so she simply glared at one of the walls at random. Not that her facial expression was at all visible behind her mask. This situation was certainly not one she had planned on.

{So you would like to die?}

The edges of the box cracked, and the magma began to creep in.

Guilt reached out, and purple lightning flared up. Even as the magma entered it was removed, held within Void. In an instant she calculated her chances of escape, her options. Given time she would probably be able to make her way to the surface, and she would be able to defend herself from attacks with her abilities. However, she could only remove the Magma, not the heat that came with it. And already the room was beginning to feel toasty. Cold air could only do so much. No, her powers would offer no way out of this. There was no way to avoid being cooked alive in the time it took to reach the surface. And that was under the assumption that the High Island possessed no other means of attack. An assumption that Guilt was unwilling to bet much of anything on, let alone her life.

With a sigh of resignation she once more faced the wall she had now decided to label as the Island's face. "Unlike yourself, I do not fear death. I live only for the sake of those I serve. But my life has not yet fulfilled it's purpose. If you seek to kill me, then I will resist for as long as I can." It was not a threat, it was a factual statement. Guilt knew she could not defeat the Island, not even escape him. But if she had to die she would die fighting. Anything else would be an insult to those she had lost.

The walls shut, and the room returned to surface temperatures, even slightly cooler. The laughter echoed again, and the walls darkened until the light was completely blocked off.

{There. That's a fire. There's human in you still. Take that fire and cure the world. Cauterize the bleeding wound. And when your powers overtake you, I will offer you a quick and painless end.}

Unexpectedly, the situation changed. Blinking, Guilt glanced around to make sure she wasn't being attacked in some unexpected fashion. That this wasn't some strange setup. But no, this was simply how the High acted. Playing around with people, threatening them with death for no reason other than to see their reaction... they really did think they were Gods. Guilt had been a fool to demand anything of the Island, for in truth she had been attempting to reason with him. But how can one reason with a being so thoroughly insane?

Lowering her arms, Guilt remained wary. "If I may cure this world before then, I will welcome the death you provide. But not a moment sooner. I have a mission to complete, after all." Looking around, Guilt waited to see what would happen. Would she truly be returned to the surface? Or was she about to be crushed?

{You don't have any choice. Your power will grow out of your control soon. And you do not have the self to hold your mind as the power takes you.}

Once again, Guilt gritted her teeth. How dare this creature judge her. But... this was certainly useful information. She had heard of Epics becoming more powerful, but never by much. And usually it wasn't actually more power as much as an increase in skill. If the Island was predicting something like this then something was going to happen to increase her power significantly. "You speak as though you know of something to happen." Guilt said, suspiciously.

{Maya Day. That's who could survive. You. As you are. No. Your power will take you, and I will destroy what you become before your work is undone.}

Instinctively Maya let loose a sound not unlike a growl. "My name is not Maya Day!" she snapped. "Maya Day was a useless girl who lived life selfishly. And she died alongside her parents. I will live or die as a hero. Unlike you, I value my cause above my life." Guilt raised a hand, and purple lightning flared around it. There wasn't much she could do to threaten the High, she didn't even know where his real body was. Or if he even had one, for that matter. But nonetheless, she felt like showing some form of defiance. "If you wish to kill me then you will have to get in line. Now, release me or kill me." Guilt hoped for the former, of course, but she was done with this mindless prattle. This fool could espouse his pointless claims until the end of days, it had nothing to do with her.

{Goodbye, Miss Maya Day. Would you like to know how many days you have left?}

The box opened into a dry, endless plain of flat sand. A wind whipped through the air, but for that, nothing moved.

Guilt glanced around what appeared to be a flattened desert. Before she was within Epic City... but if the Island had been able to move her 10 miles down in a matter of seconds, then there was no limit to where she could have move during their conversation. She could be anywhere in the world right now. But there were more important matters at hand.

"How many days? Tell me." Even if she was confident in her abilities, this was valuable information. Whatever event was coming, she would need to be prepared for it. For the High to have gone so far as to warn her, it could only be something major.

{21.}

And just like that, the Island was gone. Guilt looked around this desert wasteland. It seemed she had 21 days to figure out exactly what the Island had meant with his cryptic warning. Something was coming, and Guilt needed to be prepared. Briefly looking at a compass she summoned forth from Void Guilt popped off, vanishing into nothing. It might take a while before she was able to get her bearings, but with her abilities it should be no trouble to get back to Epic City.

Magus began summoning the moisture in the air into a cloud around the head of his staff when Dragon suddenly clapped him on the shoulder. He jumped slightly at the sudden contact, but quickly regained his composure as Dragon pointed out that Magus hadn't been present during the Swarm Rat attack the other day. "You know I'm not much use with those sorts of things most of the time," he answered, keeping his gaze towards the Snapper as he spoke. "And about 10 seconds before the attack, there was a robbery at the bank, but with the rats attacking, everyone seemed to forget about the robbery. I knew the other Epics and Emergency Responders could handle the thing with the rats, so I went after the thieves. The ringleader and one of his henchmen got away with about half the loot, but the rest was returned to the bank, and one of the robbers was taken into custody. The driver died in a crash with a wall of earth. It couldn't be helped. I'll admit, it was one of my hardest fights yet. The guy spearheading the job definitely made things very difficult for me, which is why I had to resort to lethal measures." While he spoke, he subtly gestured toward Finch to indicate to Dragon that that man was the one who had led the heist that Magus had only partially averted. At the same time, he sent the cloud over the snapper, hoping the light mist washing over its body would help to calm it.

"Hey now, I was making sure there was no possibility it would do anything, and this happens to be a good way of doing it." Alto said, putting one hand on his hips.

The fire he'd tried to smother the turtle with didn't seem like it was doing too much so he stopped adding more. It seemed like all the civilians were gone now but he didn't know whether putting it down would be a good idea or not. It was angry, maybe he could toss it into the park somewhere and it'd forget about him. If he was honest, lifting it up was probably not the best way to deal with it period, but Alto didn't have any better ways he could think of that he could've done instead. It was already enraged when Black Light threw the person at it, or at least that's how he saw the situation.

"I can keep this up all day if I have to, but if you want it down then I'll put it down." He said, turning towards the ensemble of Epics still left behind. "At least tell me one of you has a hole I can throw this in."

Anomaly

"Wish I did," Anomaly answered Alto's question. Although the people around didn't have a hole, there was the idea of making one. That would unfortunately take a while unless the people around had construction equipment, though, so maybe they probably shouldn't do something like that... not yet, anyway.

Another idea hit Anomaly though. Why not try and calm down this guy with her ghost hands? It was a long shot, but it was better than what she suggested before. Either that or nobody really thought that using water on something like that would be a good idea, which she'd probably agree with if she knew more about the beast. Standing behind the car, the ghostly hands of Anomaly flew over and began to gently rub the turtle's neck, not hard enough to annoy it, but rather hard enough to soothe it from it's troubles. "I've got another stupid idea!" Eh, the worst thing that would happen would be that the turtle bites even harder down and crushes that guy's arm, which Anomaly was trying to keep from happening. If it didn't work in the right way... well shit.

Jeanne -- Don't Be Afraid

@Override@Regitnui

With a maddening laugh he sought to clasp onto her sword-arm, and with just a flicker of will, she denied him. His hand would crash into a wall of swords conjured from their surroundings before one could blink an eye. With ach of them intricately layered with another in invested fashion, she would not allow him, a foul, disgusting creature, to touch her in the very least. With outright fury, Jeanne brought the maelstrom of light to bear on him once more, only to have a portal open suddenly between the two.

In an instant, the blades stopped. Each of them just a hair from impaling the Devil as they burned with briiant radiance.

It did not take long for her to find the source of the power, and a situation of even greater detriment. From above came crashing both debris and harried alike, and Jeanne moved into action. The hundreds of blades that had been within millimeters of rending the Devil asunder switched their focus entirely: they tore with terrible vengeance into the Harpies that descended from the heavens. While they made quick work of making a clearing for Jeanne, dozens of the Harpies were cleaved in two, swatted out of the sky as she bent at the knees. Her wings unfurled and spread wide, and she launched herself upward into the heavens.

While many heroes might have struggled with flight, she was just as much at home in the sky as she was on the Earth, and she went to work. A golden streak that cleaved many Harpies with ruthless succession as soon before long, she was at the apex of the tower. There, with a pair of wondrous swords in her hands, the radiant angel waited while her wings cast themselves against the wind in a steady cadence.

Certainly her haze caught the Devil catching up at last, but she paid no heed to him. His judgment, burtal and swift as it were destined to be, would come later.

Spectrum smiled, even though her face was covered by her mask. "You could reach in..." She looked down at his hand, trying to make a platform for her. She put her fists on her hips and flew up to his nose. "I'm not Tinkerbell here, big guy. I don't get tired flying, If you want to help with that hand, put it over me, so I don't feet like I'm going to fall away." A noise like a unsecured fire hose gushing through a megaphone resounded from the second-highest floor, and the dark windows flashed. "Oh, right." Spectrum turned back to the giant and his purple undies. "I need you to grab the big eel thing making all that lightning and get it away from the harpy nest."

Something crashed inside, and she turned around again. "Just reach in when you hear me yell. I'll get it close to the wall for you!" She darted back into the building to see the behir chasing... a devil? Wait, that was the same guy who was fighting with the angel. "Hey! Devilman!" she shouted to him. "Bring it this way! I've got a way to get rid of it!"

@RoflsMazoy@Banana@Sedjwick@Flamelord

"Thanks for the support," Dragon said, patting Magus' back again. One of the younger epics reached forward to the snapper's neck and... Dragon opened his mouth, but it took him a while to put together the words. "Are you massaging the monster?" He called, walking forward to give Vice a more normal hand. He'd overheard some people at the agency talk about recruiting the poor kid, since he was becoming quite a noticeable face around town. Dragon had no idea what they'd put the kid to work advertising; sunburn lotion? barbecues? It's difficult when your most marketable asset is a giant flaming arm.

He put his hand on Vice's arm just below the shoulder, flinching a little but sucking the heat enough that he didn't get burned. "Vice," he began, "unless you're trying to give it heartburn, you should just put it down back by the lake." He wiped his forehead clear of the mist Magus had created, putting his other hand on Vice's normal shoulder. "Remind me to tell you one day what happened the first time I took one of these things on, when I was just starting out." Sooner he got this fixed, sooner he could go shopping for the marsala ingredients. Maybe he'd phone that homegrown food guy and see where the best stuff was.

Devilstrider heard a feminine shout, and he almost turned to look but realised what a mistake that would be as the gecko monster spit lightning at him. Deciding that getting hit by that thing was definitely not a good idea, he threw up a shield and focused on the monster. The lightning slammed into his shield and he backed up slowly as the monster approached.

"Working on it!" He called out, hoping she would hear him as he sped away from the monsters lunge.

Ace Vs. Blacklight

Blacklight continued to laugh as he escaped Central Park, leaving his damned brother to deal with the Snapper while he made plans to discover the depths of Dragon's secret. Meanwhile Ace drove towards Blacklight at high speeds, skidding to a stop about 20 yards away from him. There was no order to stop and face the music, now was the time for action as Ace raised his hand and began firing at Blacklight from afar. It was high noon, the perfect time to dish out some good ol fashioned Justice. Blacklight whirled around at the sound of a skid, using his whips to deftly avoid the weird bullets being shot his way.

"May the High piss on you, Freak. I've got bigger things to take care of!" He shouted, a whip slashing through the air at Ace. He dove off his motorcycle to the side and rolled behind a car, narrowly avoiding the whip and giving himself cover.

"I may be a Freak, but you're a dead man walking!" He shouted as he peered over his cover and began firing at Blacklight once again, using one hand to fire directly at him while his other actually shot two bullets at a car nearby Blacklight, using the ricochet to try and hit him in the back. Blacklight laughed again. "If you think you can stop me, you've got another thing coming child," He called out as he casually used whips to take the blow from the bullets. "Now if you don't mind boy, I have places to be."

He backed away casually, pulling a door off the car and flinging it towards Ace. He ducked back behind cover, letting the car door fly over him as he began to think about what he could do to beat this varmint. Quite frankly, he was up a tree right now, the damn psycho could just drain his bullets. Accepting that he was shit outta luck in this situation Ace let Blacklight go, making sure to remember his face just in case they met again. Once it was clear Blacklight was being left alone to leave, he used his whips to swing from street lamps, buildings, and trees to return to his hideout.

Ace got out from behind cover and cursed profusely, that man had been the perfect counter to his powers. Ace stood up his motorcycle and rode back towards the turtle, he was thinking about giving Dragon Heart a piece of his mind.

Finch

Just as he had expected Magus had tried to indicate to Dragon Heart that he was a criminal, but luckily for Finch he either didn't get it or just didn't care with the problem that was at hand. There was a silent sigh of relief at that as attention returned to the bit with the Snapper. It certainly seemed like things were going slower than they needed to at that point.

"This is why I don't do hero stuff," Finch muttered to himself with a sigh as he kept his distance and watched the spectacle. Individually they were great, but get a bunch of Epics in a group and things invariably became more complicated and fell apart. Hopefully somebody managed to actually deal with the thing before they succeeded in making it even more complicated than necessary.
