The feeling of tentacle-like appendages wrapping around his head and the sound of a very happy and chipper voice behind him shout out something about improving his mood would snap Robert out of his violent day dream. This interaction was definitely not something that he was in the mood for at the moment. Grabbing the feelers that had suction-cupped themselves to his cheeks, the boy forcefully pulled them off his face, perhaps a bit too harshly, as he turned to face the strange squid kid that had dared to interrupt his brooding.

"Can I help you?" the bespectacled redhead interrogated, his expression returning to the glare it had been just moments ago before his face had been pulled into an unwanted smile. Everything about his behavior screamed that he didn't want to talk to Llyr, from how aggressive the tone of his voice was when asking his earlier question, to how his folded arms revealed a truculent mood. All Robert wanted right now was to be left alone to his own devices.

Oswald Connoly- Armory

Shit, I totally forgot about the goggles Emm mentioned last week! And I had such lofty plans for them... Oswald gave Emerald a guilty look and dropped a hand roughly onto her head, messing her hair up before pulling it away and smirking at her. "I'm sorry, Emm, I totally forgot about those goggles. I promise we'll get to them. Just...probably not today. And we'll make them the coolest goggles ever, and we'll totally kick ass with them!" Asshole, thy name is Oswald. At least Gren's here to help. He's kinda weird, but he seems like a good guy.

And then Anna returned fire. Direct hit, right to the heart. Even a man so thoroughly put-off by her obviously fake flirtatiousness couldn't resist the siren call of a young woman practically throwing themselves at him.

So he did the next best thing, and played along. "I do remember being contacted about some sort of survey like that. They wanted a lot of pictures..." Smirking, he decided that now was as good a time as any to get his gear. "I'll be right back." Standing up and slowly hobbling over to his equipment locker, Oswald cursed when he realized that he effectively had one arm for this.

Laying his cane against the locker, Oswald carefully put his arm through the handles of his shield and awkwardly grabbed the guard of his sword, which dug slightly into his hand. Sighing, he closed the locker, grabbed his cane, and walked back, this time even more awkwardly.

Somebody had to be looking, right? Fuck it, let them look.

Unceremoniously dropping his gear onto the desk, Oswald grunted and sat back down carefully. "Sword has a compartment in the handle for carrying Dust crystals, which you were so kind as to deliver a metric fuckload of to me. Uses them to fire a beam of energy out of the blade. Quite a useful thing for dealing with long-range foes, so long as I don't run out of Dust, at least."

Nodding to himself, Oswald retrieved the schematics for his upgrade from his Scroll. "We're basically gonna turn this into a goddamned pile driver. I want this thing to punch through a manticore's fucking kneecaps and turn it into an overgrown slug."

Having taken a seat and allowed herself to get comfortable, Yue was slowly letting herself relax instead of trying to stay serious. She had to remember this wasn't Atlus; students at Beacon were free to be jovial and chat with each other. Everything at Atlus was so strict and rigid, Yue actually felt a bit tired how just how carefree Beacon was. But then again, without teachers and staff constantly maintaining discipline, perhaps now Yue needed to grow her own backbone now. She had debated taking out one of her books and reading quietly when she overheard a few girls talking nearby. They seemed to be new students, just like Yue. While Yue has been at Beacon a few days prior, she was still very much unfamiliar with Beacon and it's approach to everything. Doesn't help she just dropped in the middle of the school year.

Yue was content on just listening to the girls and reading her book, flipping between the two whenever Yue heard something interesting. She wanted to go and talk to them but part of her thought it would be incredibly rude to just barge in on their conversation. Her maidly duties taught her to remain in the background until needed, and she didn't think these girls needed her. Though Yue herself wanted to talk to them. This conflict in her mind made Yue remember back to what her parents had told her: she was to attend Beacon in order to learn and understand how to interact outside her usual sphere of duty. Or in other words, be a normal girl. Admittedly she thought this was a bit unfair considering the lifestyle she was raised with, but she wasn't going to let this chance slip away.

So of course before Yue got up to talk to the two new girls they moved onto another ground of three, forming and even larger group.

And unlike Yue, she knew that the three that the two new girls joined were regular students. This made Yue visibly gulp, a bit of hesitation touching her. She thought she could connected with the two girls thanks to their shared inexperience, but now trying to act chummy with regular students too? But Yue swallowed her fears. She wasn't going to make friends or improve if she kept letting fear and uncertainty get in her way. A Maid does not fear a mess, no matter how big it is. Putting her things in a neat pile, Yue walked down to the group of five. "Confidence Yue. Confidence is key."

Yue arrived holding her books close to her chest. It was the moment of truth. All she had to do was open her mouth and ask. What's the worse that could happen? "Um..." Yue could choke, for starters. "Hello, my name is..." Yue could also be ignored. "Gaun Yue. But you can call me Yue." And she could simply fail. "Do you terribly mind if I... Sit here?" Yue reached out and held onto a chair nearby the group. Somehow this all felt so forced to Yue. Taking a deep breath, she tried to compose herself for just a moment, to set a better impression of herself. "I'm a fairly new student and... I'd like to talk to you all. You all seem... No. You're all very interesting. And I'd like it if we could be friends." Plain and simple. Not very elegant, but Yue will work on that.

”Yeah, I met Estelle.”

It was a pretty odd meeting, both times. Jesus.

”Not in her class, though, but probably see her around.” The younger Nuit seemed a little unsure. Friendly, but kind of unsure. He decided to let the quiet hold a second, mostly because what the fuck was with that purse? Seriously? It was a tiny little thing, proper term’d probably be a clutch. It couldn’t possibly weigh that much… He nudged it casually with his foot but it did not move. Brick walls had more give.

Oh fuck buddy. Either the little Faunus girl had some serious muscle, or Dust fuckery.

Probably Dust fuckery. He’d really have to ask about that.

”Thanks for the heads-up. Would kinda like it if my toes stayed intact.” He laced his hands behind his head, grinning again. ”You’re one of Luke’s teammates, right? He mentioned a new teammate or two. Mind if I ask-”

“Oh, hey. Nah, pull up a seat.”
The new arrivals definitely weren’t anyone he’d seen, not one of the tw- three, they were multiplying. He gave the general trio a wave at the wrist before lacing his hands again, and surveying the group. ”I’m Ben. Good to meet you, Ashe. You guys are…?”

“Yeah she’ll probably be trying to be more active around campus.” I noted taking a pencil from in front of me and flipping it around my fingers to allow myself to fidget. Sangue also introduced herself in a slow somewhat drawn out manner. I couldn’t help but think that she was either incredibly nervous, kind of like me. Perhaps she too felt some anxiety in social situations, I thought. But before I could reach the end of that train of thought l found myself, Ben and Sangue approached by another two girls. One immediately introducing herself as Ashe. The other, I recognized well enough.

“Ah, of course please, sit. Skye it is a pleasure to finally properly meet you. JLBS will be better off with you, I’m sure of it!” I said happily to my teammate She was quite a bit taller than myself, but my height was always strange to most people. Due to my wings and the fact that I often hovered above the ground I constantly looked slightly taller than I was. But I was only a meager five feet and five inches.

As everyone was finally seated I glanced behind me at the massive shield that lay lengthwise on the ground. It was absolutely massive, but couldn’t possibly be as heavy as C’est La Vie. I turned and slightly nudged the shield. It didn’t move. Huh, I mean, okay yeah obviously it’s pretty heavy.

I reached forward with my hand gently pulling with my semblance. It didn’t move. Huh.

I smiled in Ben and Sangue’s direction, trying not to make it obvious what I was doing. I faced both of my hands in the direction of the shield. Once more I pulled greatly. HUH.

I looked in Ben’s direction with some amount of discomfort.

Just what the hell was this guy made of? And what the hell was his shield made of?

But before I could try plan c, we had another newcomer join the fray. Her name was Yue, as she introduced. She had a slightly darker complexion and didn’t seem to be too comfortable in social situations either. But for some reason that actually made me more comfortable.

“Yue, it’s great to meet you too. Please take a seat and try to relax a little okay?” I said with a small smile on my face. I glanced to my right and saw Ben and Sangue, to my left was Ashe, Skye, and Yue. It really was starting to feel like a large group of friends. Even if we were all just trying to get through class. It was nice though.

I felt the smile I gave Yue persisting on my lips, I couldn’t scrub it off my face if I tried. I found myself hoping that Jack and Luke were having equally good days. At lunch I was having a pretty rough day, and I didn’t’ feel up to touching base with them. But now I was determined to find out how they were doing.

So I pulled out my scroll and opened up the Jumpercables group chat.

Armory Class
Chatting up the Crew

Reaching his locker Gren punched in the code. He was a big man, but his locker was the same size as everyone else. Fortunately everyone's lockers are quite large, otherwise he'd never be able to fit both his guns inside with his armor. Even though his armor was nearly packed away in a metal suitcase, it was still fairly bulky. Popping it open Gren removed the helmet section. This was still the first helmet he's used since he got to Beacon, and the damage was notable. Dents and scratches in his helmet, a bit of a cracked lens, chipped paint. But it still did the job. Hopefully Emerald would be able to make some use out of this. Tucking the helmet under his arm Gren went to go get his guns. Though hefty weapons meant to be put on vehicles, Gren was able to haul them back. It helped that he didn't put ammo in them.

Returning to class Gren could see that the teacher was still out, and a few students were already working on their own projects. Considering that all they do here perhaps it wouldn't be bad if Gren, Oswald, Emerald, and Anna went ahead and worked on their stuff. It's not as if the teacher usually had any projects for them to work on; as long as they attended class they were free to do whatever, for the most part. By the time he got back to the others Gren caught the tail end of something Oswald was saying. Something bout turning a Manitcore into a slug. "Sounds nasty. Now let's get started. First, Emerald!" Gren took his helmet out and handed it towards the cat Faunas. "My helmet. The good bits are inside. Feel free to do whatever with it." Gren then looked over to Oswald and his sword. It was some weird spiral sword thing, a design that Gren was actually familiar with. While absurd it was still deadly, and more importantly, could be turned into a pile bunker.

"Right then. I don't think we need to explain what a pile bunker is, so I'm just going to go ahead and get some stuff for the it. I'm assuming you still want to be able to use your sword as a sword even when you're going to do some pile driving action, so I'm going with a hilt design. And we may as well make use of all those spiral blades and make it into a drill too. Fortunately for you, I brought something that might interest you." Gren took the God Eater off his back and placed it on the table. The gun was bigger than Emerald. Taking a few tools out form his bag Gren began to dismantle his giant gun. "Parts of my old God Eater ought to be able to help facilitate your transformation. Or be spare parts. Either way I needed to break this thing down anyways." Gren neatly put the parts down on the desks, taking out small bags and boxes from his bag to hold things like screws and bolts.

"I wasn't pouting!" Emerald's voice came out in a whine as her ears twitched erratically. Her face flushed when she realized her words had come out a lot more defensively that she had meant to be.

"I mean uh...sure, let me get the goggles..." She walked over to her desk and opened a drawer, revealing a pair of goggles with a neon green visor. She walked over to her soul sister and offered the goggles for Anna to inspect.

"So princess, what do you think? It's basically just a frame at this point, except for a few connectors and wires. It still needs internal components..." It was about then that Gren arrived in a timely manner with his helmet. She took the offered helmet. "Ooooooo thankies!"

As she looked the helmet over she gave Oswald a rather casual response. "Don't worry about it Ozzy...I'm sure me and Princess Anna can handle it without you juuuuuust fine." She nonchalantly smacked the helmet on the table and then started to pry the visor out of it before she began to yank the circuitry and other important parts out of the helmet.

"I was going to make them glasses originally but then I was like, 'Doh! You can't wear glasses Emmy you don't have human ears!' Hahahahaah..."

The cat faunus was smiling, but it wasn't the kind of smile you wanted.

This is gonna be a good day I can tell.

Bianca's efforts weren't completely missed.

The first time, sure, but by the time she was trying her Semblance two-handed? Probably trying to gauge it as much as Ben'd been trying to gauge her bag. He could leave it alone. Pretend he didn't see. Just ignore it.

But that wouldn't be any fun.

He caught the Faunus' eye, grin widening a little, and reached behind his chair to adjust its position. Just one hand, not really looking at it, and just to push it back a little bit so that all their new acquaintances had room to move their chairs. Pull on the top edge, reduce how far it slanted out into the aisle.

Then he laced his hands behind his head again, looking innocent as could be.

Ben caught my glance and I looked at him for a moment confused. I saw his eyes seemingly point behind him and my own followed down his shoulder and arm to Joyous Guard. Yeah, how did he move that thing anyway? He placed a hand on it.

Oh no you don’t there is no wa-

!!!

Ben placed his hands behind his head. All that was missing was an innocuous whistle and a shit eating grin-

Oh wait there it is.

Okay Ben, that’s how we’re doing this huh?

I raised my eyebrows and feigned shock. Which was pretty easy to do because he was moving a car door that weighed the same as a full car. Well I’d show him. I reached down to grab C’est La Vie and pulled on it, gently and without channeling any aura, so it wouldn’t move. Glancing up at him with a pout. But then I snatched the clutch and placed it in my right hand gently opening it. Pulling out a tube of lip chap and lightly coating my lips. With a smile and a tilt of my head to the side I popped the lip chap back in my back and placed C’est la Vie, delicately on top of the boy’s shield.

Whoops.

Before Skye sat she made sure to introduce herself first, and returned the quiet redhead's bow. She found it nice to meet another person who seemed to favor bowing as a form of greeting. It had been the norm in her village but not so much in Vale as it turned out. There were a lot of things to get used to here. But she was proud of herself for dealing with the crowds infinitely better than the day before. Though, that's less my own accomplishment and more Luke willing to guide me through most of my day.

"Thanks Bianca. I hope I can live up to everyone's expectations. And my own... The, ah, mask is just until I get... better. I'm a little unsightly right now. She decided it would be a good idea to get that said and out of the way first. She was pretty sure the one in red had been staring at her because of it.

Bianca already looked much better than she had a few moments before. It seemed company really was what she needed right now, and she was very glad Ashe had suggested they come over here. There was still something nagging in the back of her mind when she looked at Bianca but that had become much quieter. Not the time to wonder at such things, the fact she seems to feel better is enough. Skye smiled to herself.

She turned to Yue who had quietly approached and asked to join them. Skye quite liked the idea, especially since she was also new, and was pleased when the others welcomed her to join them. It was not that surprising, everyone here was really nice after all. Skye got no bad feelings from any of them. But she did have to introduce herself again for Yue's sake. And explain the mask again. Skye found herself looking forward to the day she could just show her face again without freaking anyone out. Like wearing a mask in the first place doesn't disturb people? Fine line there.

"One more for the SS Leaky Luck." She said to Ashe, making a weak attempt at a joke. Humor was not a skill she had sharpened over the past few years. "I hope we can be friends, too, Yue. We are human beings. We will always be stronger and happier together. She took another good look at the people all around her, finally feeling truly comfortable for the first time in a long while. I don't ever want to lose this feeling. Whatever it takes, I wont let anyone down again.

A Collab between @Guess Who and I

The moment the other boy pulled at his tentacles was the moment Llyr backpedaled, a fairly amused grin had spread across his face as the boy interrogated him. ”Not so much help me, but help yourself, my good man!”, the Faunus replied, bringing his face uncomfortably close to the red headed boy’s.

Llyr wouldn’t be able to get too close before he’d feel Robert’s hand push against his chest, keeping him out of his personal space. “I don’t need help. Just leave me alone and save yourself the trouble,” the redhead replied before he began to turn back toward the front of the class.

The squid straightened himself as the other boy pushed him away, his eyebrow raised. How intriguing indeed. ”Relax! Relax! Humour this child of the ocean for just a moment~! Take a look around! What do you see?”, he asked excitedly, throwing his hands forward and gesturing to all the little groups of people in the class. ”I see plenty of fish in the sea~”, he continued, giving the redhead a wink.

“She- she didn’t… What do you care? You don’t know me. You don’t know what I’ve had to put up with for the last week. Just leave me alone… whoever you are,” Robert said, his defenses barely scratched, though progress had been made. For just a moment there, a small tiny moment, his overwhelming anger and frustration from all of the recent curve balls life had given him had subsided.

At this point, Llyr decided to take a seat next to the redhead, his head resting on his hand as he looked intently at the other boy. ”Strangers make the best of company, my fiery friend. For only strangers can become your friends~”, he responded in a dramatic voice before continuing,. ”Now enounce unto me, who may this maiden be?”

Robert let out a sigh as he reclined in his chair, looking up toward the ceiling of the classroom. “Her name’s Priscilla. We’d been dating for… I don’t know. I should have been keeping track, but days have all just been blurring together recently, with each new morning bringing some new trouble for me to deal with. It was just a little bit after the school year started. The point is though, after she had disappeared for awhile, she finally came back from wherever she had gone… Only to tell me that same day that she was moving away with her family. We’re still going to keep in touch, try the whole long distance thing, but it’s just… I just got her back and now she’s gone again. All just feels so unfair,” he rambled on, giving a quick summary of his relationship troubles to the stranger. And he never even mentioned everything else that had been weighing on his poor mind.

Llyr merely sat there and listened as the other boy rambled on about his misadventures with a maiden named ‘Priscilla’. The squid wouldn’t mind seeing who this Priscilla person is, but the chances of meeting them were slim as the boy mentioned their long distance complication. ”The past is the past~ There’s no need to dwell on what has gone by.” He responded in a solemn tone, which was quite a contrast to the way he was previously acting. The grin on his face reappeared, ”So live! Live in the moment. The Grimm don’t wait for you, and your team certainly won’t either! Make life your bitch!” Llyr suddenly exclaimed dramatically as he stood up, planting his foot on the edge of the desk and pointing into the sky.. Or rather the ceiling.

At this point, Robert realized that this was a very strange classmate, since he had been much too oblivious to have noticed it before. Despite his weirdness though, he understood what the message Llyr had been trying to give him, even if it really didn’t need the obscenity. The young boy wasn’t sure how well he could actually let go of his past, learn to deal with what had happened and move on, but he did know that talking about his problem had helped him feel a lot better, at least better than just violently taking his aggression out on some poor Grimm. “Yeah, maybe I will. Maybe I won’t. We’ll see,” he finally replied, a small smirk forming at the corner of his mouth. “Say, what’s your name? I don’t think we’ve talked before.”

It would appear that Llyr’s version of a pep talk had somehow worked on this gloomy boy, there was no need for him to pry any further. The young squid spied a slight smirk on their face as well. ”Llyr Owen is the name! Today will be my first day in this academy. Pray you introduce yourself as well, my friend!”, He replied with a warm smile.

“Robert Fallson. It’s good to meet you,” the boy said, extending a hand toward Llyr’s direction to shake on it. “I’d also like to say sorry for how I acted when you first came over. That was uncalled for by me.”

Llyr looked at the Robert’s hand for a moment before leaning forward, his face weirdly close to the other boy’s hand. A single tentacle shuffling out of the Faunus’ hair, wrapping itself around the redhead’s hand before making a handshake-like movement. ”A pleasure, Robbie.” Llyr gave Robert a playful smirk as he assumed his original posture, the small tentacle retracting back into his blond hair. ”Don’t sweat the small things, my friend! We all feel Grimm at times~” He laughed.

Ashe peered curiously at whatever Bianca was trying to do to the shield leaning against the desks. She was apparently trying to be stealthy about it. While using both hands. She... would not make a very good thief. At all, she thought to herself. The shield wasn't budging, and Ashe felt the tiniest twinge of an urge to try moving it herself. Self control! I can mess with that some other time.

A new girl in a maid getup wandered onto the scene out of nowhere. Ashe wasn't entirely sure she'd seen her in the class before, but then, she hadn't exactly been paying attention. And holy shit was this girl nervous -- Ashe couldn't really handle nervous too well. Thankfully, Skye saved her the effort of talking first. She seemed to have nerves of steel when it came to this sort of thing.

Ashe snorted at Skye's jest. It wasn't a good one. At all. But it worked. "Pfft. Yeah. Welcome to our sinking ship, Yue. I'm Ashe. You can sit here if you'd like," she said, and she lightly patted the seat next to her. All of a sudden the group had gotten much larger than she'd expected - hell, it'd doubled in size. Wasn't necessarily a bad thing, though. Truth be told, Ashe was pretty happy with the company that'd built up. And nobody had commented on her slightly, er, uncoordinated entrance to the classroom before, so she was feeling unexpectedly comfortable.

"So, you new here too or something?," Ashe asked Yue. "I just arrived myself. Skye here's really cool. Don't mind the mask: it's just a thing she's been doing lately."

Ashe shot a smile and a wink toward Skye. The emaciated Faunus had seemed rather uncomfortable talking about her situation earlier, so Ashe figured she should handle the talking on that topic for now. Or Bianca could do it - the winged girl seemed to know Skye from somewhere. Teammates or something, perhaps, but Ashe was closer this time around, and Bianca seemed to be preoccupied with putting her purse on top of Ben's shield. Such strange people.

Some time passed, and Ashe suddenly found herself asking the group, "Er, does anyone know when the class is actually starting...?" It seemed very strange to her that the students could wander around and chat eachother up so freely for so long before the instructor stepped in to do... well, anything, really. Maybe that was just Beacon life.

Cian sighed as she walked into class things was hectic that was for sure and it was only going to go on from here she supposed. First she was transferred teams without notice but apparently her supposed loveable idiot of a guardian was behind that. He always was a bit of a hypocrite at times but he meant well she thought. Actually in hindsight Cian wasnt sure on that fact anymore like she used. He was odd but she chalked that up to him being overly worried on her. One thing she was for sure though in the end change could be either good or bad and one needs time to truly judge it in the long run.

It wasnt long before she reached the door to the classroom of Grimm studies quickly she grabbed a seat and sat down next to a loud squid or was it octopus faunus and if she remembered correctly the red hair was Roberto? "H-h-h-h-hello" she sputtered out as she looked at the faunus her deep seated fear coming to play but she was making progress somewhat at least. "MYNAMEISCIANPLEASEDTOMEETYOU." She sputtered out of fear and wanting to be polite. Towards the faunus as she quickly turned to the red haired person. "Ah your name is Roberto right? The name is Cian I seen but never introduced myself." She said while mentally praising herself for taking a forward step Luke Would be proud if she was still on the same team and class that is.

Oswald didn't miss a beat, at least any beat not related to goggles, and he made Annabelle wonder if he was telling the truth. She had read an actual study about this, she wasn't just spouting hot air this time. But there had not been pictures, dissappointingly, so he was probably just playing along. But that was just fine. She liked to play. And she was pretty sure Ozzie had made the mistake last night of telling her he was not with anyone, so unlike with Gren, she didn't have to hold back if she didn't want to. And she did not feel like letting him off easy. However, there was suddenly a lot going on so for now she kept it simple. "You should show me those pictures later tonight. I always did wonder how accurate that research was." She smiled devilishly as he shuffled off, noting he did not ask for help to get things from his locker. Anna shook her head.

She smirked at Emerald when she insisted she was innocent of any pouting. Her eyebrow also raised when Emerald brought her a fully constructed frame to check out. "But Emmie, don't you understand? If I am a princess that means by default you are also royalty. Not a bad design here, pretty damn stylish to be honest. But I am going to throw you some alternate design options, because fluffy cat ears or no you can have glasses if you want. It's just, well... you know compact tech really well since you use it in your weapons. You know the complications the smaller something gets. What is it you want these things to do?" She asked Emerald as Oswald and Gren returned with- Oh my word... She took a moment to grab her personal device and sent a silent command for Tiger to hold his position for now.

Those are some big ass guns, just my style. God Eater? Heh, fitting name.. And did Ozzie really just say his sword was a frikkin laser?! Damn these guys are ambitious. I think the boys will be fine without us for a few.

She felt like Emerald needed her attention more, anyway. She was sounding a little edgy right now and her smile was almost maniacal as she ripped out components from Grens sacrificial helmet. Pressure of everything must be getting to her. Really ought to up the distraction tactic until she's ready to talk the deep stuff out. With one hand Annabelle started sketching a few smaller, stylish designs for the goggles along the glasses idea Emerald thought was impossible for her. As the drawings came together it was plain to see there was only the frames and lenses, with no obvious part to keep them attached to one's face. While she did this her other hand was under the table, sending a private message to Oswald.

With the message sent she slipped the scroll into her sleeve, grabbed a second pencil, and flipped it into the air. She caught it and began working on two different sketches at the same time, showing off her ambidexterity and full multitasking prowess. She glanced at Emerald and winked.

"Still doubt my superpowers?"

Robbie. Not exactly a name that he liked to hear at the moment if he were to be honest, since before Llyr, Priscilla was the only person he knew who would ever call him by his nickname. Still the boy was trying to make an effort to cheer up, so instead of getting upset about it all over again, he put on a smile, shook hands with the strangle tentacle that was coming out of squid kid's hair, and chuckled at his somewhat amusing pun.

At that moment though, a much more familiar classmate would decide to approach the pair and greet them both. Robert knew he had seen her somewhere before, but had never interacted with her often enough to remember her name. "Something to do with blue or a shade of blue," he mumbled out loud to himself as he tried to recall from his poor memory.

Well at least she was suffering from the same lack recollection. "Close. It's Robert actually. It's nice to meet you, Cian. And since you're here, I'd like to thank you. Priscilla told me how your and another team saved her bacon from that Grimm-infested brewery. I'm glad you guys were there so I could get to see her again." He was tempted to add, 'even if it wasn't for that long,' but the redhead was trying to rebrand himself as the happy-go-lucky goofball again and a comment like that would definitely not help.

Llyr was glad to see Robert putting on a smile. Whether he was faking it or not, the squid couldn't really tell. Not that it bothered him all that much. It wasn't long before a girl, who was much smaller than Robert and himself, came over and sat with them. Llyr merely raised an eyebrow in intrigue as the girl, who he now knew as 'Cian', stuttered to an extreme when speaking to him, but then spoke more coherently to the redhead. Perhaps a little bit of Faunus prejudice? Sounded common enough. However the squid Faunus could tell that she didn't want to seem rude or anything of the sort. Thus, he decided to forgive her for such transgressions.

Just uncomfortable around Faunus? Perhaps. Let's make her feel welcome. He moved closer to Cian, staring at her intently, scatching his chin as though he was thinking of what to do. "MYNAMEISLLYRPLEASEDTOMEETYOUTOO!!", he exclaimed with some intensity, giving the smaller girl a cheeky grin. Imitation is a form of bonding, right? "You should relax, sweetie. I am just a mere Cephalopod, not a Grimm in Faunus form~!" He said in a smooth tone, giving her a gentle head pat. His voice could've been likened to honey or butter. So smooth.

'Both are delicious..' The squid thought to himself.

Oswald Connoly- Armory

Rolling his eyes at Anna's continued banter, Oswald gave a little chuckle and a wink. "Oh, definitely. We can compare notes and everything, too." He wondered for a moment if such a study actually did exist, but decided that that was a question for later. Definitely later.

Gren returning with a pair of fuckhuge weapons and offering to share one for scrap was starting to make his offers sound too sweet a deal. "Gren, it's...not that I don't appreciate the assistance, especially since I basically roped you into this, but...are you sure this isn't too much? Even spare gear is useful, and you're basically throwing it all away like old candy..." He really did appreciate the help, but it was at best too self-sacrificing for Gren to give up this much material.

At worst, it was horribly suspicious, especially considering what had just happened to their team on Friday. No, no, we are not going down that road just yet. He's a student. A student at Beacon Academy. How would he even know who those guys were? No, he's just...he's just trying to help...or something less sinister than genocide, at least.

Yeah, that had to be it. Maybe he just thought that giving them stuff would indebt them to him. It kinda did, frankly, but Oswald wasn't going to dwell on that. If Gren needed a favor down the road, he'd gladly do it anyway.

Shaking himself out of his self-destructive line of thought, Oswald started looking over the spare weapon Gren had put on the table and nodded. "I'd actually rather not mess too much with the blades anymore. I already completely destroyed whatever stability this thing had by making it into a swivel-blade. Letting it spin on top of that, as epically savage as it would be, just strikes me as a bridge too far. And a hilt design was exactly what I was thinking...that is, if we mean the same thing." Checking back over his schematics, Oswald nodded. "Big-ass attachment designed to house the blade, and launch it out real quick-like. Sounds simple enough, especially with a weapons nut like you on our side."

As he finished, Oswald felt his Scroll vibrate with a message, which he quickly read.

Ah. Yes, it might be better to avoid discussing Friday's mission out loud any more. He was somewhat surprised that Emerald was as frazzled as Anna seemed to think she was, but considering yesterday's events on top of Friday's...it made more sense to him.

---------------------

Sender: Oswald Connoly
Recipient: Anna the Lewd

That...is probably a good idea. I have a few things to talk to Emerald about myself, anyway. I can tell you about what happened Friday before that, I guess. It's...some pretty heavy shit I'm gonna be dropping on the two of you, but if this thing is gonna work, you are gonna have to know this about me.

----------------------

"I hope we can get this done by mission time this coming Friday. I wanna bust some carcasses with this shit."

Armory Class
Chatting up the Crew

"Ha. If you think this is too much, you don't know me very well. Excessive is my default." Gren joked. True he does tend to take things overboard, but in this instance he needed to strip the God Eater for parts anyways. Anything he didn't need he'd let Oswald and the others use. It was simply recycling, a win-win for everyone. Aside from that comment Gren nodded at Oswald's instance not to mess with the blades. Gren disagreed, but it was Oswald's weapon. Gren would help him make it to his specifications and they'll test it out once it's complete. If it works for Oswald than all is good, and if not, still plenty of time to work on it. Just as Emerald was able to rend through Gren's helmet, Gren himself was able to turn his giant gun into organized piles of scraps. He just kept pulling out cardboard boxes out of his bag to store all the spare parts until they were in separate boxes. He even had a box of for bullets, the engine to his weapon, and dust.

"With us on your side, Ozzy, we'll get this done before supper."

As Gren started picking through the piles of parts to put together Oswald's pilebunker, Gren couldn't help but notice the tension around Emerald. Unlike what Gren is used to, this tension wasn't so much between fellow students but something more personal. Gren was almost afraid to ask. Everyone had problems and Gren wasn't always equipped to handle them. He knew his own baggage and wouldn't want anyone else to have to stomach it either, and he was almost certain that Emerald didn't want to burden others with her issues. But that only evoked another though in Gren's head; friends stick together. Through the thick and thin. And while he couldn't say he was particularly close to anyone here, surely the first step to friendship was sacrifice?

Gren understood that whatever happened to Emerald, and possibly the rest of her team, was a sensitive matter that Gren couldn't just come barging into. Well he could but he'd make a mess of it. For now the best he could think of doing was supporting Emerald and being a friend for her. However form that takes. Which mostly came in the form of cheap compliments. "Tactical glasses would be sweet as hell. I made my HUD in a helmet because that's just my aesthetic, but I think Emerald would look cool in glasses." Holding up some device that was suppose to be the prototype pilebunker, it made violent thrusting motions and nearly slipped out of Gren's hands. It was rough and jerky, but it had the essence of what Gren intended to make. Now he just needed more power. Unlike a Pile Driver that hammers in with repeated blows, a Pile Bunker needed to go all the way with just one. And just as Anna had mentioned, the difficulty would be making something so efficient that was so small.

Gren had ideas but this would be slightly more difficult than he had first envisioned. Now focusing more on Oswald's weapon, Gren went to work.

"Well of course I'm a princess, was there ever any doubt?" Emerald crossed her arms after placing all the parts she'd salvaged from the helmet on the table.

"Eh, goggles or glasses, doesn't matter really. Goggles probably make more sense for me though, less likely to get knocked off my face." Emerald said with a nod before continuing.

"Basically I would like the goggles to have a HUD display that connects wirelessly to my scroll. That way it could display important information for me without having to take my scroll out. That could really come in handy while we're on missions ya know? There's a lot of features that could be programmed into it afterwards, but the hard part is putting the hardware together first. Oh yeah, definitely want a camera and as many sensors as possible crammed into it..."

Emerald could go on and on with ideas for the goggles, but for the moment she stopped and listened to what Oswald and Gren were saying. She soon forgot about that as she watched Anna draw two different sketches at the same time.

"Okay, how the flapjack do you do that? I can't draw that good with one hand!"

Annabelle Valentine
Armory

"You know what, Oz? Let's skip the pictures altogether. Why don't you just show me the 3D rendered model later tonight."

She did not look up from what she was doing to see Oswald's face, instead moving on to answer Emerald. "I wasn't kidding, my dear princess of Emeralds. I don't call myself the Real Mary Sue for nothing. Anyway, pretty hot idea, linking right to your scroll. Voice control, virtual keyboard, forearm or wrist mounted interface? Proooobably not gonna be able to fit all that cool stuff in the tiny version here," She said indicating a sketch that was little more than lenses with a base around the outer parts of the eye. "Super stylish but that's gonna push the limits of the tech and be as delicate as they are cool. You'd probably know best if its feasible, I don't usually make things this small. Don't worry about these things getting knocked off your face, I've got some really good adhesive specially made to be safe for use on skin. The design that's more like shades here ought to be a good in between, but honestly for durability in combat and fitting a ton of stuff in, the frame you have already made is best."

Her scroll vibrated against her wrist and she abandoned one of the sketches to slide it out. "Hold on, stay just like that for a sec. Don't move..." Anna held up her scroll to Emerald so she couldn't see the screen and checked Oswald's response. Ha! Anna the Lewd. He's got me figured out. Damn... more heavy news, too? If things are even worse than I imagined... well, I'm glad I came along when I did. Annabelle quickly switched over to her camera and snapped a picture of Emerald. There. Covered up the secret messaging and got a cute pic of Emmie. Or another cute pic of Emmie. Huh, it's only been like one day and I have quite a few cute pics of Emmie, don't I?

She put her scroll down, slid the paper with the eye piece sketches toward Emerald, and took a fresh paper to rapidly draw the two essential designs in her head for the revolver. One was as simple as possible and as close to a classic revolver as one could get, with only three shots. It would be easy to put together mostly with spare parts around the armory. The second was vagely recognizable as a revolver but the frame was vastly altered to secure an oversized six cartridge cylinder. This version was obviously going to be very heavy and bulky as well as require the most custom-made parts. But she felt Oswald could handle the weapon, which might be unweildy for most others. It would also allow him to reload less often which she personally felt was pretty important for guns like this.

"Holy crap Grenster, you're right, Emmie would look unbelievably cute in glasses!" Her next thought was jarringly interrupted by the harsh sound of the boar faunus testing some equipment, causing her to make a pained noise. "Oh man, I forgot. Are there earplugs or something around here I can use?"
