The moment the other boy pulled at his tentacles was the moment Llyr backpedaled, a fairly amused grin had spread across his face as the boy interrogated him.
”Not so much help me, but help yourself, my good man!”, the Faunus replied, bringing his face uncomfortably close to the red headed boy’s.
Llyr wouldn’t be able to get too close before he’d feel Robert’s hand push against his chest, keeping him out of his personal space. “I don’t need help. Just leave me alone and save yourself the trouble,” the redhead replied before he began to turn back toward the front of the class.
The squid straightened himself as the other boy pushed him away, his eyebrow raised. How intriguing indeed.
”Relax! Relax! Humour this child of the ocean for just a moment~! Take a look around! What do you see?”, he asked excitedly, throwing his hands forward and gesturing to all the little groups of people in the class.
”I see plenty of fish in the sea~”, he continued, giving the redhead a wink.
“She- she didn’t… What do you care? You don’t know me. You don’t know what I’ve had to put up with for the last week. Just leave me alone… whoever you are,” Robert said, his defenses barely scratched, though progress had been made. For just a moment there, a small tiny moment, his overwhelming anger and frustration from all of the recent curve balls life had given him had subsided.
At this point, Llyr decided to take a seat next to the redhead, his head resting on his hand as he looked intently at the other boy.
”Strangers make the best of company, my fiery friend. For only strangers can become your friends~”, he responded in a dramatic voice before continuing,.
”Now enounce unto me, who may this maiden be?”Robert let out a sigh as he reclined in his chair, looking up toward the ceiling of the classroom. “Her name’s Priscilla. We’d been dating for… I don’t know. I should have been keeping track, but days have all just been blurring together recently, with each new morning bringing some new trouble for me to deal with. It was just a little bit after the school year started. The point is though, after she had disappeared for awhile, she finally came back from wherever she had gone… Only to tell me that same day that she was moving away with her family. We’re still going to keep in touch, try the whole long distance thing, but it’s just… I just got her back and now she’s gone again. All just feels so unfair,” he rambled on, giving a quick summary of his relationship troubles to the stranger. And he never even mentioned everything else that had been weighing on his poor mind.
Llyr merely sat there and listened as the other boy rambled on about his misadventures with a maiden named ‘Priscilla’. The squid wouldn’t mind seeing who this Priscilla person is, but the chances of meeting them were slim as the boy mentioned their long distance complication.
”The past is the past~ There’s no need to dwell on what has gone by.” He responded in a solemn tone, which was quite a contrast to the way he was previously acting. The grin on his face reappeared,
”So live! Live in the moment. The Grimm don’t wait for you, and your team certainly won’t either! Make life your bitch!” Llyr suddenly exclaimed dramatically as he stood up, planting his foot on the edge of the desk and pointing into the sky.. Or rather the ceiling.
At this point, Robert realized that this was a very strange classmate, since he had been much too oblivious to have noticed it before. Despite his weirdness though, he understood what the message Llyr had been trying to give him, even if it really didn’t need the obscenity. The young boy wasn’t sure how well he could actually let go of his past, learn to deal with what had happened and move on, but he did know that talking about his problem had helped him feel a lot better, at least better than just violently taking his aggression out on some poor Grimm. “Yeah, maybe I will. Maybe I won’t. We’ll see,” he finally replied, a small smirk forming at the corner of his mouth. “Say, what’s your name? I don’t think we’ve talked before.”
It would appear that Llyr’s version of a pep talk had somehow worked on this gloomy boy, there was no need for him to pry any further. The young squid spied a slight smirk on their face as well.
”Llyr Owen is the name! Today will be my first day in this academy. Pray you introduce yourself as well, my friend!”, He replied with a warm smile.
“Robert Fallson. It’s good to meet you,” the boy said, extending a hand toward Llyr’s direction to shake on it. “I’d also like to say sorry for how I acted when you first came over. That was uncalled for by me.”
Llyr looked at the Robert’s hand for a moment before leaning forward, his face weirdly close to the other boy’s hand. A single tentacle shuffling out of the Faunus’ hair, wrapping itself around the redhead’s hand before making a handshake-like movement.
”A pleasure, Robbie.” Llyr gave Robert a playful smirk as he assumed his original posture, the small tentacle retracting back into his blond hair.
”Don’t sweat the small things, my friend! We all feel Grimm at times~” He laughed.
