Shrimp Brigade, Division A The Vice's Strongest attack force Specialize in teamwork, coordinated strikes, and ballet dancing. First encountered in South Blue when they boarded the Rum Runner via torpedo designed for human transportation. Displayed supernatural levels of teamwork and awareness, when sufficiently injured would vanish and reappear from another member. Discovered to be one man that ate a devil fruit. Quirks: See themselves as superheroes, protectors of the innocent, rather than bounty hunters. Have a flair for dramatic poses. Never go anywhere without theme music.
"Shrimp Brigade" Shotaro Saban The Vice's first mate Fifteen foot tall goliath of a man, ate the waru waru no mi, turning him into a split man. The true form of the Shrimp Brigade, a single man that ate a devil fruit allowing him to split himself or any object he touches into multiple copies, at the cost of each copy having a fraction of the original's power/ability/intelligence/all other traits. While relatively friendly and balanced when split into the Shrimp Brigade, Shotaro Saban goes crazy with power and egomania when all together, a trait not entirely unearned. Displays insane strength and durability, once he took his "prime" form, he alone requires the entire Red Rum crew to defeat. Turned on Krabbe's crew, declaring his assault as the judgment of Justice, and that only the innocent would survive. Is ultimately defeated by the Red Rums and John Krabbe teaming up, but escapes and reveals he has other body copies out in the world. Quirks: Sincerely believes he has the muscles of a god and that his wrath is divine judgment. Anybody he kills is justified because only the wicked can be harmed by his "godly might." Has an incredibly tiny head for his massive body. Is very self-conscious about it.
Shrimp Brigade Pink Mizu Shikihara Cipher Pol 8 Agent Agent of the World Government that had signed up to be part of Shotaro Saban's Shrimp Brigade, now shadowing the Rum Runner Little is yet known of this government agent, but he is a master of disguise and expert spy, as well as proving to be extremely fast. Quirks: Overly flirty with women. His immense pride causes him to think he's god's gift to the world, so everything he does warrants a "your welcome."

John Krabbe "The Vice" Professional Bounty Hunter Last captured pirate worth 25,000,000 Belli First encountered in South Blue aboard his ship, the King Crab. Battled Red Rums to get their bounties using his customized warship the King Crab, incredibly strong and resilient, battles with both a sword and special armor with a crab claw vice. Engaged primarily with Fitness Feya until his first mate went mad with power. Battles alongside the Red Rums to defeat Shotaro Saban, losing his trademark armor and weapon in the process. After the battle, let's the pirates go without further conflict, even giving them a log pose. Quirks: Though devious and with legitimately sound plans, always ends up accidentally telling the enemy what the plan is, either by monologuing or forgetting the microphone is still on. Frequently forgets about his claw and tries to use it for things only a normal hand can do.
Name: Caesar Inu Epithet: The Wolf of the Blue Race: Human / Mink hybrid Age: 16 Gender: Male Appearance: Caesar is unlike any other male Mink one might find in or outside their Homeland, and a large part of that is from his human father.
Caesar is fairly humanoid, even by Mink standards. At his head you'll find golden blond, neck length hair, while his fur is more of a dirty blond, and very fine across his body. His eyes shine out from all this light color as a deep, emerald green that twinkle with intelligence rarely shown. Furthermore, his face is very similar to a dog's, complete with a nose that's more like a snout, oversized canines, and perky ears that point up most of the time out of his golden hair.
Further down his body one will notice he's muscular, much more so than the average human would be. His hands have dark nails that are a little sharp and more pointed than a human's, as do his feet.
The other thing of note that one might notice first is that Caesar is always in shorts. No shirt, no shoes, unless he absolutely has to. These shorts have a hole in the back for his tail, which is normally curved up closer to his back than sticking out.
For measurements, Caesar stands at full height at 5'5", weighing only 130 pounds. This adds to his lean but muscular look, as there's not too much limb length compared to torso height.
Please view the image below for how his tail and ears would look.

Quirks:
Considering he is half Mink, Caesar is incredibly, incredibly lazy.
Caesar snorts when he laughs
He also bares his teeth when he laughs
Very prone to farting himself awake during a nap
Not very concerned with his fur like most Minks, but still treasures it.
Does not follow Mink deities, or any deities for that matter
Will eat any meat, unlike how normal Minks refrain from eating furred creatures
Prone to taking bones to bury or chew on
Very weird about his height. He thinks he's much taller than he actually is, and is in denial over his actual height
Personality: Caesar is a very determined creature... Very determined to do as little as he actively has to. That includes training, working, and exerting effort. Why should he, when he never has needed to before?
He is, however, incredibly loyal to his friends and family. He'll risk his life, if needed, for them. Insult someone he cares about? No amount of laziness will truly stop him from removing a piece of you. He feels honor bound to those he forms relationships with, to a fault.
Furthermore, Caesar is incredibly kind at heart, even if he hides it under arrogance and disdain to others. He'll bring you the moon if he considers you a friend, given time to be motivated enough to bother with it.
Buried beneath all of this, however, is a deep seated fear of heights that is nearly paralyzing in most situations.
History: Very little is known about Caesar's mother, as she died while he was only two and his father refuses to speak of her. "Never looked back, never want to," he says when asked.
Not long after this death, however, Caesar's father took them far across the South Blue to Karate Island. They'd be safe, and Caesar could train like his mother was always doing.
Without much Mink upbringing all the way out in the South Blue, Caesar adopted strange mannerisms instead in the years that followed. He spent his younger years training with the Masters in Karate Island's rocky terrain and lush tropical climate, suffering from the heat like the rest of the Minks.
Easily outpacing all others he came across, Caesar simply became lazy in time. Why train and improve when he was already the strongest being around? By the age of ten, he'd almost quit training entirely, preferring to train himself against the heat by basking in the sun for hours everyday.
While this did help build up a sort of tolerance to the heat, Caesar decided he couldn't truly overcome the slowness in combat he suffers in the heat.
And so he spent his days relaxing, longing for a challenge and desperately hoping one wouldn't come at the same time.
Some time after the forming of the Red Rum Pirates, Caesar was out swimming. He enjoys to swim, one of the few things he isn't completely lazy on, and had found himself far from Karate Island's shore. Drifting along the calm Sea, he was attacked by a shark. Effortlessly handling the situation, and really just playing with it, the Red Rum Pirates stumbled across the situation and promptly 'saved' Caesar, who found it was too much effort to explain they were incorrect and just rolling with it. After all, they had tried to save him, and that alone gained his respect and admiration, labeling everyone on the ship as a friend.
From there it was again too much effort in his mind to return to his boring life, and he saw no reason why he couldn't relax with his new friends anyways, so he stuck around.
Combat Specialties
Skills and Abilities:
Stronger than the average man
Skilled in swordsmanship and basic martial arts
Great swimmer, not so great at climbing
Better regenerative abilities, like most Minks
Increased metabolism
Can tie a basic knot
Faster than average, particularly if he goes on all fours
Electro - can produce electric shocks from his body, but it's only strong enough to maybe put you on your ass on a good day. If he's motivated enough, he can channel this though his machete.
Devil Fruit: N/A Haki: VOID Gear: A blade given to him by his father, a simple machete. He feels no need to actively carry anything else on him at all times. Fighting Style: Punches, kicks, and cuts. He'll just try and break you with his super strength and stamina. Offensive, but plays smart by looking for openings. Techniques: Omni Slash: Caesar can charge his machete with his Electro for a power up, and then release the charge in a shockwave for a decent range attack.
One Finger Death Punch: Caesar centralizes his Electro into one finger, greatly increasing the impact generated upon collision to nearly double his normal punch.
Shock Shield: Caesar covers himself in a layer of Electro to protect himself from attacks by shocking anything that gets too close, particularly people. This is incredibly draining to do, however, so he can't keep it up for now than a few seconds.
Seizure: He shocks people with Electro through their head, sending electricity coursing through their brain and knocking them unconscious for a while.
Nakama
DISCLAIMER The Nakama section for Caesar is based more on future developments, seeing as he's only been with the crew for about three days at the start of the IC. That is all. On the whole, Caesar is highly protective of the crew because of his tight bonds of friendship and kinship, fully feeling like they are family to him.
Bonesword: Caesar is highly protective of the Skelekid, despite the general lack of closeness. Part of this is because of their friendship, but largely because Bonesword is made of bones. Great quality bones. Beyond that they get along well enough given their shared mental ages.
Dirk: Caesar sees Dirk as an incredibly weird man, and as such takes a more cautious approach to their interactions, never quite sure how the former slave will react.
Cedric: Caesar and Cedric have a love-hate relationship. On the one hand, Cedric is the Captain and a drinking buddy for Caesar. They have great synergy and Caesar respects Cedric. However, they butt heads because Caesar is, well, lazy and Cedric feels like he can do so much better, leading to a little bit of resentment and exasperation from Caesar.
Drake: Caesar see Slick as a bit weird, but loves the man to death for being a great cook and for recognizing the need to sit back and relax. There's yet to be an issue between the two.
Izuna: Caesar generally gets along alright with Izuna, but they come at odds often enough because Caesar is a 'lazy deadbeat' who has zero idea of the value of hard work.
Feya: Caesar and Feya are often at odds. He's lazy and she hates it, and she dislikes some of the food Slick makes up. Furthermore Caesar can't figure out why she is so pale looking, let alone why she's do hell bent on fitness.
Lilliana: Caesar is incredibly interested in the mechanic woman. He enjoys helping her break things, and he finds her constant bouncing around as both irritating and amusing. Beyond that he doesn't have many issues with her. Their shared enjoyment of open skies makes up for the fact that Caesar honestly can't stand her motherly instincts half the time. He never had one, and he feels he doesn't need one now.
Name: Dirk Messir Epithet: “Black Hood” Dirk Race: Human Age: 22 Gender: Male Appearance: Dirk is an incredibly pale individual, having spent most of his life never really experiencing the Sun. In fact, considering his apparently-uncut white hair and purple eyes, as well as his tendency to burn rather than tan, one would be excused if they mistook him for an albino… or a girl, since despite a height of around 190 cm, he possesses a very androgynous, even slightly feminine build, not helped by the fact that he only weighs 63 kg as a result of his “upbringing”. For similar reasons, his preferred clothing is unnecessarily bulky, most obviously a very oversized black button-up coat large enough to hide all manner of items inside, complete with a hood of similar colour save the two thin white stripes running along either side. Other than this, he usually wears dark trousers and shoes, accompanied by white socks, a white undershirt, and a metal chain round his neck. Position: Scout, thief, helmsman. Claims to be a mastar martial artist. Bounty: 28,000,000 Belli, wanted dead or alive for the murder of a noble, participating in slave revolt on Yuushuu Island, stealing a devil fruit, and escaping his owners. Jolly Roger: Very similar to a standard Jolly Roger. However, the background is white instead of black, and the skull is superimposed over a black hood that covers its eye sockets, complete with the same white lines as on Dirk’s own hood merging into the background.

Ambition: Dirk has a burning need to fulfil his Divine Purpose. Quirks: Dirk is not at all right in the head. A lifetime of abuse has left him incredibly unstable to the point of schizophrenia, with very few social limiters around those he does not consider his superior - amongst other things, he lacks the concepts of such complex things as “personal space” and “body language” and "how to laugh", and he is liable to launch barrages of verbal slander and insulting language at somebody for the slightest of provocations. Of course, he might also not, depending on the person and even his mood at the time. Personality: When not acting out at somebody, Dirk’s demeanour tends to include a lot of intense staring and quiet, erratic whispering, complete with head tilt. Around the general public and even those he knows more intimately, this remains the same; when in the presence of somebody he considers a superior, however, his attitude shifts instinctively to polite, reserved, and perhaps meek, complete with excessive apologising and slight panic if he thinks they are angry with him. Underneath external appearances, Dirk’s thought patterns are heavily warped, reflecting beliefs and behaviour patterns that are delusional, or at least inconsistent with what everyone else thinks, and generally absurd to experience, as well as auditory, visual, and tactile hallucinations; a proper psychological evaluation would indicate schizophrenia, though it is unclear if his cognitive abilities are deficient in a manner consistent with such a diagnosis. That said, he does hold two truths of a more rational nature close to his heart: he misses his family, and he despises slavers, in particular the World Government officials who held him captive for the past several years. However, he avoids and almost fears direct conflict, having had the notion that resistance is useless beaten into him repeatedly, and so will not pursue either of these unless he can do so in a relatively safe manner, under which circumstances he will likely attempt to do so heedless of any pre-existing plans unless a very good reason why he shouldn't presents itself. Extrapolating from these, he also holds the bonds between family members to be sacred, and finds himself sickened at even the thought of their twisting for indecent purposes, such as parents abusing their children, or indeed of being broken entirely through separation of otherwise healthy relationships; it therefore stands that, in his mind, selling a child into slavery away from their parents is the most disgusting thing a person can do above all else, and he has decided in advance that if he ever finds somebody who does this, he will not rest until they lie dead at his feet, no matter how many people he has to sneak around to get to them.
Dirk was born into slavery. It has been his whole life, and indeed his parent's lives too, and so in a way, it shaped his being before he was even born. Whilst his parents were kind enough, and their master not needlessly cruel, there was rarely time for Dirk to interact with his family growing up between the demands brought upon them and the dressing of wounds granted to them as the punishment for failure, and so he found himself cherishing every moment he had with them even as the lack thereof affected his development, especially once a baby sister was born to them five years after his own birth. By the age of seven, he was considered old enough to start working alongside the few other child slaves in his master's employ... and yet, for some reason, he was never put to work in this manner. Indeed, whenever he tried to join his fellows, the guards in his owner's employ deliberately stopped him from doing so, citing that he had another purpose than whatever the other slaves did; this, combined with later events, shaped a personal belief that he was in some way divinely blessed, and that he was intended to fulfill some great task that only he was capable of.
In fact, the "purpose" the guards spoke of was something else entirely. At the age of eight, he was abruptly wrenched from his family's arms, screaming and crying the whole time, and sold off to a new master, who he would later learn was the head of a noble family, and a moderately high-level official in the World Government - nothing like one of the fabled Celestial Dragons, but as horrifically callous as them nonetheless, and certainly far more awful than his previous master, particularly in combination with the spiteful actions of many of the man's other family members whenever they laid eyes upon him, though Dirk knew not the reason for their particular disgust of him. He was isolated from others for days at a time, subjected to brutal treatments intended to shape him in ways that would make him absolutely subservient to his "divine father", and for the slightest deviation from protocol- generally in the form of yet another attempt to hide from his captors and escape the horrors he was subjected to- he would be placed into an arena with an expert in the Six Styles, whom Dirk only ever knew as "The Battler". The Battler would promptly injure Dirk in a myriad of ways, generally leaving him unconscious or even near the point of death, before some other slave was dragged in and, through means Dirk remains unsure of to this day, forced to somehow grow out and use her own flesh to seamlessly knit together his, leaving it as unmarked as the day he was born. Naturally, this was a far more traumatic period in his life than his early childhood had been, and the brainwashing he was put through was instrumental in warping his mind to its current state.
The intended result, however, was not achieved. When he was twenty two, Dirk was called into his owner's bedchambers, and told that his true purpose was to act as a pleasure slave for the government official, having supposedly been moulded to possess a boyish, yet feminine charm about his person, both in physique and in mannerisms, or so the man claimed. Being uneducated in the ways of any sort of sexuality, Dirk wasn't actually sure what any of that meant; it became far more clear when the patriarch ordered Dirk to strip and get on the bed, and clearer still when he attempted to strip the boy himself after a confused refusal to comply. Dirk fought back with poor bastardisations of the very techniques he had been subjected by the Battler to over the years, and though they were ineffective by comparison, they did enough to knock his owner down upon one of his own fallen gold ornaments, cracking the official's skull open, and promptly causing him to expire.
At first, Dirk was ecstatic about this turn of events. Finally, he was free to do as he would! Or so he thought, until it occurred to him that maybe ownership would just pass on to the patriarch's next of kin, and that given how spiteful they were to him usually, they might well just have him murdered for this turn of events. And that wouldn't do. He had a Divine Purpose to fulfill, after all. With this in mind, Dirk fled the room, finding his way through the halls of the building, and for the first time managed to do so almost seamlessly, his escape aided by the capacity for stealth he had unwittingly honed over countless escape attempts, as well as a coincidental ruckus on the other side of the building caused by the Battler over a sudden loss of employment now that Dirk was "fully trained".
The ex-slave's pathfinding skills were not so well-honed, though, and after a series of bad turns, he found himself trapped, hiding in a room near his ex-master's son and a travelling merchant, selling a strange spiral-covered fruit, bright yellow-grey and shaped like a strangely-conical strawberry, that supposedly granted its consumer incredible power, but spoke to Dirk specifically of extreme wealth: previously the son's, now the merchant's, and, if Dirk could snatch the fruit and sell it on himself, soon to be his. The purchase was concluded, and the buyer foolishly declined to eat the fruit immediately, instead taking it to a nearby kitchen and leaving it covered up for later consumption. Dirk tailed him from the shadows, squirreled away the fruit and a sharp kitchen knife at his first opportunity to do so without being caught, and tried once again to find his way out.
This time, he succeeded. He soon found himself outside his owner's mansion for the first time in fourteen years, and made his way to the island’s nearby capital with nothing more than rags on his back, a comparatively pitiful weapon in his hands, and a seemingly-priceless Devil Fruit hidden within his clothing; luck led him to a nearby clothing store, and the owner, after figuring out roughly what Dirk's story was, commiserated with him about his past and the heedless ruin that the World Government brought to those like Dirk, before giving him free pick of a few items in his store, plus the advice that perhaps the Devil Fruit in his possession shouldn't be shown off freely, and that maybe he should leave the island as soon as possible if he wanted to continue enjoying his stint as a free man.
And so he stowed away on a ship leaving the island, and was promptly discovered and dropped off at the very next island they landed at. Seeing a need to escape further, Dirk stowed away on a second ship that happened to be leaving at the same time. As it happened, this was the Rum Runner, of the Red Rum Pirates; as it further happened, this same ship was promptly attacked by a force of Marines, who had supposedly received a tipoff about an "escaped criminal" aboard. Shortly after that fight was ended in the pirates' favour, Dirk was discovered by the crew, and asked to explain why he was on the ship by the captain.
Naturally, having told his story, the others promptly decided to head to Yuushuu Island to end the cruelty going on there, despite Dirk's pleas for them to do otherwise. After figuring out exactly how the local nobility were using its inhabitants as what amounted to a giant, generations-long money-laundering operation, the Red Rum Pirates managed to convince its inhabitants to revolt, to stop giving their hard-earned wealth to the rich bastards at the top of the pile and instead to overthrow them, and stayed on the island just long enough to ensure that practically every single civilian was involved in this full-blown rebellion.
After that, Dirk took up roles on the ship as they were needed. The ship needed somebody to steer whilst the navigator managed the compasses and log poses, so Dirk took on the role of helmsman; the crew needed somebody to scout out threats to them a few times, and it happened that Dirk's innate stealth was perfect for this job, despite his suggestions to the contrary; and when it came to the occasional need to steal, Dirk had already had the idea of selling his unknown Devil Fruit to somebody, then taking it back discreetly before it could be eaten. The Red Rum Pirates performed this last procedure repeatedly with the nobles on various islands they traversed, suggesting that the Devil Fruit would fail to work unless they kept it refridgerated for at least twenty four hours before consumption in order to give Dirk time to snatch it away. As they enter the Grand Line, however, Dirk's insistence that he is a master martial artist could spell his doom if he does not truly master his martial art... or maybe it won't, who knows.
Combat Specialties
Skills and Abilities: Tough Nut - Many years of torture and physical shaping over time have left Dirk a lot more difficult to harm than might be expected, and insensitive to pain regardless, meaning he is unlikely to care very much about blunt force blows unless they deal significant damage. That said, he does not possess the muscle to go along with his toughness, and is unlikely to cause a serious fighter much harm short of the few combat techniques he actually possesses, though he’s been working on fixing this issue as part of the crew. Stealth - In stark contrast to his lacking martial skill, Dirk is shockingly capable of disappearing when he wishes to, being more than capable of maneuvering around trained guards, dissolving into crowds, and sneaking up on people without their noticing. Most impressively, he seems to perform these feats almost by instinct, and yet he tends to disavow any claims that he is actually good at stealth, instead suggesting that his Divine Purpose is what has kept him alive and well in that sort of situation. Devil Fruit: N/A, though he does have a Devil Fruit in his possession at the moment. Haki: Currently unavailable; potential for Conqueror's Haki present. Gear: Devil Fruit of an unknown type. Kitchen knife, used for backstabbing people. Fighting Style: Having been subjected to the Six Styles martial art across the span of his enslavement, Dirk claims to now be a master at it. In truth, he knows of the techniques, and has a rough idea of how they're performed, but does not really have the physical power to perform most of them with much effectiveness; thus, most of his "techniques" for the time being are just normal things humans can do, like punching, kicking, dodging, climbing things, and cheap shots where he can get them in. Indeed, he desperately avoids having to resort to direct combat unless he can't help it, and even then prefers to try and use others as meatshields until he can slip behind a target and backstab them if at all possible. Techniques: Paper Art - Surprisingly, Dirk is capable of actually utilising this aspect of Rokushiki very effectively: Paper Art is intended to make the user's body go limp, and thus avoid attacks instinctively, like a piece of paper in the wind, and Dirk has unexpectedly succeeded in honing this technique to help him avoid the Battler's attacks, amongst other forms of torture over the years. Combined with his physical resilience, he becomes surprisingly difficult to put down in the rare situations where he is actually forced to engage in a fair fight. Finger Pistol - Where Dirk’s Paper Art is well-trained to let him dodge by instinct, his Finger Pistol is ironically more likely to be triggered on instinct: when attempting to attack a target with his bare hands, he is as likely as not to extend a single finger out to try and punch a hole in their body akin to a truncated bullet wound. Naturally, this is very likely to fail against more resistant foes, and past attempts to do this have led to many a sprained finger.
Nakama
As regards a lot of the other crew members, Dirk's lack of worldly experience and bizarre mindset has led him to misleading conclusions about some of their stranger aspects. Most notably, he has largely assumed that sometimes humans sprout animal features, or grow metallic body parts, or occasionally even turn into skeletons. By contrast, his lack of understanding about alcohol and why imbibers seem to become different people entirely makes him incredibly uncomfortable at best, and he often pushes the alcoholic crew members to stop drinking entirely because it's awful and bad and why would you do this. Caesar Inu: He hasn't been around long enough for Dirk to get a good impression of him. However, Dirk gets the impression that he doesn't do enough at the moment, in particular from his attempts to get Bonesword to come over to him using Dirk as a medium; the fact that he's part dog kind of alleviates this, though, since he is very easily petted. Bonesword: Despite nominally being Dirk's superior, he and Bonesword both see eye-to-eye on a lot of matters. This is perhaps because, whilst Bonesword is far more emotionally mature than his age would suggest, Dirk is far less so. Thus, Dirk often relaxes around Bonesword in a way that he wouldn't around people closer to his own age, and chats as best he can about themselves and their interests - mostly Bonesword's, since Dirk himself has understandably lacked the time to develop many hobbies of his own. The exception is how heavily Bonesword drinks, which Dirk still finds awful despite knowing that Bonesword can't actually get drunk. Slick Drake: Much like Caesar, Dirk thinks Slick is a bit too lazy for the ship's well-being, a consequence of Slick's job not usually involving a lot of work in his downtime. Unlike Caesar, Dirk also finds Slick's obsession with weapons and fire to be weird and off-putting, and generally finds he has little in common with him, though Dirk will admit he doesn't seem antagonistic. He is, however, redeemed by the food he cooks, which is the best food Dirk has ever eaten, and is therefore the best food in the world in his mind. Mizashima Isuza: Isuza seems alright to Dirk, though she does not seem to stand out personality-wise from anyone else on the ship, and he does not interact with her too frequently. Part of the problem is that both are socially inept, and so fail to meaningfully communicate anything when conversing; as a result, Dirk finds it difficult to gauge what Isuza is really like. Her nervous habit of pulling her own teeth out is rather offputting to him as well, if not mildly worrying for him given that he lacks the ability to regrow his own teeth the way hers do. Cedric D. Boone: As the ship's captain, Dirk's immediate response to Cedric is usually intense politeness and near-absolute obedience. Even so, he feels a certain amount of affection for Cedric, despite retaining his view that the man shouldn't drink so heavily and getting just a tad avoidant when he is; if there's anybody he immediately rushes to in the rare event of needing help cooling off, or who he feels safe opening up to when coaxed, it's Captain Boone. Lilliana Merrycure: Dirk finds Lilliana more distressing than he perhaps should, not specifically recognising the metallic symbiote on her back as anything abnormal, but at the same time finding her insistence on helping him wherever she can rather intrusive, and her mercurial attitude and weird attention span uncomfortably irregular. That said, he does recognise her positive attitude as a good thing, and when pushed will admit he appreciates the attention when it comes. Feya Nelson: In stark contrast to his acceptance of more blatant physical oddities within the crew, Dirk finds Feya's overly pale figure to be extremely odd, since few other humans he's seen have had this feature. A distinct lack of self-awareness about his own skin and hair tones may have been what led him to point this out to her, though his own hair-trigger temper exacerbated the resulting argument. They've since come to an understanding not to bring up skin tone either way, and Dirk has decided he likes her on account of her not messing around with weird turns of phrase that he may or may not understand, regardless of her other features, though he wonders whether this attitude is shared by her toward him. In order to try and get on her good side, and because whilst he is obviously a Six Styles master it seems like the other crew members are inhumanly stronger than him, he has asked to train with her as frequently as possible in order to get up to their level, since she's clearly the most physically fit member of the crew.

Quirks: Bonesword will never be without his sword. There is solid reasoning for this, but he also enjoys being near the one thing that he knows will keep him safe in case he's ever in danger. It acts as both his safety blanket and his teddy bear, as he sleeps with it at night. He also occasionally uses the blade as if it was an extension of different body parts, so he'd peek corners using his sword pretty often.
He also has tea parties with it from time to time, and it's incredibly awkward when you walk in uninvited.
Personality: Bonesword is an energetic young skeleton who eagerly tries to show that he was prepared to take life by the horns. Even though he's a raging alcoholic with no way to get drunk, he will give everything he's got when he does anything he has to, be it collecting fish to put in a barrel or a duel of fates. He's a bit emotionally unstable from his dad's death, but that wouldn't mess with him unless someone brought up how Bonesword was raised or asked if he had any family. Either way, that's unimportant when compared to Bonesword's code of honor, the one he picked up as the cabin boy for the Second Chance Pirates. "Everyone deserves a second chance."
History: Born to an unknown mother and father, Bonesword's life quickly accelerated when he was abandoned shortly after his birth by his parents who deposited him on the ship belonging to the crew of pirates known as the Second Chance Pirates. The only thing that he was left with was a longsword, far too large for him to use at his age, and his dirty old clothes. The first mate, Darts Jingoston (Jingo for short), found the child, barely anything but skin and bones, along with an attached note.
"I am dreadfully sorry to have to drop this responsibility on you, but you must be able to give this child a second chance. I found him thrown out into the rain, and along with this odd sword. I'm far too poor of a maiden to be able to raise this child on my own, so when I saw that this ship was docked, I had to leave him here. Please take care of this child, and make sure that he stays alive no matter what."
He showed the child to the captain. The captain of the Second Chance Pirates gave the young boy something for him to actually eat, and he allowed for the boy to remain on the ship until they found him a suitable home. They were the Second Chance Pirates, after all, and they went by a strict code of giving other's a chance. This kid was no exception.
Taken under the wing of Jingo and taught in the ways of the sword, BS showed surprising prowess with using a sword that was too large for him. That being said, he was never able to best Jingo in a fight, especially with BS slowly becoming more and more like a skeleton as time progressed. That being said, if the child was slowly weakening from the fight, he wasn't showing it at all. Despite the alternative strength relation, Jingo still showed worry when it came to BS's health, and he expressed to his captain to let the child take the devil fruit that the Second Chance Pirates were already hunting for. The captain mulled over the idea for a bit, but left the idea floating in the air for Jingo.
About 8 years after picking up BS, as the Second Chance Pirates stumbled across an unknown island far away from the ports, they found a single instance of a fabled devil fruit, and when they returned it to the ship for the remaining crew members to see, the crew was struck with shock when the captain revealed that it would be placed in the hands of Jingo. He was the decider of who received the fruit, and naturally, he had to go and give the child below deck his life. It was a stretch, but it was a better idea than nothing.
Instead, a flurry of flowers popped out around a disgusted child when BS took a bite out of the fruit, and while he was rather disgusted at it, he felt another kind of power surge through his almost-nonexistent veins. While he continued losing his muscle mass and skin until he was nothing left but a skeleton of what he once was, as Bonesword returned to the ports with Jingo and the rest of the crew, he challenged Jingo to another fight, where he won with the help of his newfound abilities given to him by the Kojo Kojo no Mi (Plant-Plant Fruit). Jingo smiled at the sight of his pupil being able to best him, despite his kid being only a walking pile of bones.
Once the crew made it back to the port, BS was separated from Jingo when he was busy looking at a pile of fish in a barrel, and when BS finally found Jingo, he also saw two nicely dressed gentlemen, one armed with a pretty large gun, and it was aimed at Jingo's head.
That was the day BS's life changed forever, as within a single minute Jingo was on the ground, lying in a pool of his own blood. The skeleton kid couldn't weep, but if he could, there would be a metric pile of tears that day. The well-dressed killers looked upon the child, and while they originally were going to kill him too, they realized that he was just some kid, and they should just leave him alive. It was traumatic enough for him to see Jingo die right in front of him anyway.
As the killers ran away, BS curled up in the puddle of blood that surrounded Jingo's lifeless body, and he laid there until someone came to take Jingo's body away. Upon the sight of BS, the janitor (we'll call him that) apologized to the kid out of sympathy, and had the kindness to take the kid to his home, where he was given a fresh pair of clothes and something to eat. That night, Bonesword left after wiping up some stew that he got on the floor and he paid the janitor a small amount of money.
Bonesword went back to the ship, only to find it missing. The Second Chance Pirates were disbanded because they lost their swordsman and first mate, and the captain had finished his adventuring days off finally. The crew separated and went on their ways, either joining new crews or simply starting their lives anew. BS wasn't ready to start living alone, so he looked around for another crew willing to take him in.
This brings us here.
Combat Specialties
Skills and Abilities: For the majority of his entire life, Bonesword has trained under the swordsman of the Second Chance Pirates. As such, Bonesword is very capable with a sword, able to swing a sword almost as tall as he is without much effort while being able to swing the same sword with efficiency and expertise.
From his experience with the Kojo-Kojo-no-Mi, Bonesword has become an experienced botanist, and is able to tell how well a plant can grow in certain environments, and he's written down every single plant he's come across in his journal of truth should he ever forget. The odds of him forgetting, however are next to none considering he retains all botanical knowledge he's acquired.
Bonesword is also an excellent artist, although he hates any praise he gets for being an artist, as he thinks all his work is shit.
Aside from that, the only other notable things are that Bonesword does not have any need to eat, drink, or breathe, because he cannot do any of these things with the lack of any organs due to him being a skeleton.
Devil Fruit: The Kojo-Kojo-no-Mi, or the Plant Plant fruit, allows for Bonesword to manipulate and grow plants out of seemingly anywhere as long as he has a free hand, and he is just as able to utilize the variety of what he grows tenfold. While he cannot grow plants he has not seen yet, he can force a plant to grow at an increased rate, with a single plant being able to take only mere seconds to grow should he concentrate on it. If the conditions are unfavorable for a plant, the ability Bonesword has over it's growth will be impacted negatively, to the point where it may be downright denied (surface of growth does not affect this).
Haki: LOCKED
Gear: The Shroomblade - A 40" longsword emblazened with the same musroom crown as Bonesword, this sword was cursed far back in the past with the Hiro-Hiro-no-Mi, or Leech Leech fruit. The sword itself draws upon the life force of it's wielder, turning them into a zombie while increasing it's own power, and the blade's power is further increased when it tastes the blood of an opponent.
The Botanical Chronicle - A large notebook, containing within it a large amount of botanical knowledge. Written by Bonesword himself, the journal has a lot of blank pages for the future entries that BS is concerned with learning about and applying.
Devil Fruit Encyclopedia - A large book filled with many pages on Devil Fruits of all kinds. Bonesword has taken up the task of filling it out as best as he can, hoping his adventures lead him to completing it.
Fighting Style: Bonesword likes to play on the defensive, raising up a respectable defense to counter an opponents offense, but he will shift to being a stunning one-handed offense if he needs to. While he's a short kid, he's very mobile in a fight and he uses this to his advantage whether he's dodging or attacking. In any case, unless an enemy has proven that they're a bag of dicks, Bonesword will treat them with respect and honor if he has to dispose of them.
Techniques: Honor Strike - Emblazon an enemy with a slash that does increased damage, fueled by the respect that Bonesword had for the late Jingo. The blade interestingly shines with a green reflection when this attack is being used, and while Bonesword can use it once a day, he'll find an expert time to apply the slash when he needs to fight.
Sword-Jump - By using his blade as a semi-third leg, Bonesword can leap great distances in the air, with the highest jump he's ever accomplished being around 20-25 feet high when it was just vertical.
Vinepunch - Bonesword, interestingly, is able to control straight vines by shooting them out of the ground, and while this can be applied to grabbing things at long distances or having a third arm, Bonesword mainly propels a vine as a punch for some easy damage.
Nakama
Crewmate Name: Captain Boone - Bonesword looks up to Boone as a rolemodel, someone that BS wants to eventually become or fill in for in the case of his absence. He was honored when he was deemed the First Mate, and he promised himself that he wouldn't let Cedric down for as long as BS lived. Caesar Inu - BS is a little antsy when he's around Caesar, but he doesn't see him as a bad person. He actually sees him as a good person, but after that one run in where BS lost his leg for a bit, he was just a bit afraid of being too close to him. As such, he likes to keep at least a good arms length away for the majority of the time. Slick - BS is slightly afraid that one day Slick will burn the ship down and everything on it, but for the most part he's alright with Slick being aboard, seeing him as a pretty good addition to the crew. These feelings are negated, however, when Slick gives BS any sort of food. Lily Merrycure - Originally a bit against her presence, Bonesword has since grown to see Lily as the mother he never had, and as such, is incredibly close to her. She's currently the only one Bonesword trusts to know about the secret of the Shroomblade. Isuza - BS admires Isuza, namely because she's always a hard worker and gives every task her all. If he was captain and Cedric was out of the picture, she'd be in the front runnings for BS's first mate. Feya - While he'd rather be as far away from Feya as possible, BS thinks she's a great person. Her obsession with being fit is a bit concerning for BS, especially considering he really needs to work on his muscles, however he likes what she's trying to do with the rest of the crew and getting them in shape... too bad Caesar will never let that happen. Also, she never walked in on him having a tea party with his sword! And even if she did, she wouldn't have just barged in right as Bonesword was about to vent to the Shroomblade about how much he hated drinking milk over a cup of alcoholic tea! The idea is simply preposterous! Dirk - BS thinks that Dirk is a pretty chill guy, for a majority of the time. He doesn't mind the guy's presence and he is quite fond on just being around him, be the two of them talking or not. BS does slightly wish that Dirk was more emotionally mature, though, but that can't be helped too fast. Things take time to happen, so BS is waiting for the day that Dirk matures.
Oh, and it's a pirate's life for me. No that's not enthusiastic enough. YO HO YO HO A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME MOTHERFUCKERS
Appearance: Slick is 5'5 with green hair and green eyes, typically wears simple single color shirts along with a green jacket over it, black pants, fingerless gloves, and black boots when on deck. When fighting in enclosed quarters he wears a gas mask on top of all this so he doesn't inhale smog from his fires, otherwise he just keeps it clipped to the waist of his pants. Somewhat pale, has lots of burn scars on his hands.
Position: Cook and Weapon Repairsman.
Bounty: 5,000,000 Beris, wanted for Serial Arson
Jolly Roger: A charred skull dripping oil with green flames surrounding it in a circle.
Background
Ambition: To find the gun and sword of Gol D. Roger.
Likes:
Fire
Weapons
Cooking
Gol D Roger
Money
Dislikes:
Marines
Wasting Food
Bees
Quirks: Slick regularly obsesses over any new weapon he may come across, studying the weapon and taking notes immediately upon seeing it even if the user is in the middle talking. His unique laugh is "Kekekekekek!" Slick is also a bit of a kleptomaniac and will regularly steal stuff just to see if he can get away with it.he has actually built up a small hoard for himself. If he thinks something would be interesting to light on fire he will try to light that thing on fire with the matches he always carries with him. He also believes his fires are works of art.
Personality: Slick is a pretty jovial guy, rarely in a bad mood unless something actually bad is happening. Tends to laze about when there's nothing important to be done or he'll go through his stash of stolen items to make sure everything is in good condition. He is afraid of drowning as most Devil Fruit users are, but his more prominent fear is of bees. If he sees a beehive or a swarm of bees he will likely go for his flamethrower immediately. Slick is also a very curious person, whether it be how flammable something is or how a device works. He likes helping people out but he won't go out of his way to help others if it's gonna be a long arduous task, not unless everyone else decides to. And the most important thing of all, Slick loves fire. He loves fire so much, fire is one of his favorite things ever really, which is why he always carries matches with him.
History: Slick grew up on a small island in the South Blue, born to a pair of blacksmiths and repairmen. He was raised on learning how gun barrels were made and how to clean a cannon, basically everything a child should never know. One day when he was 6 a group of drunk pirates had come to his parents to have their guns and swords repaired after a hard battle with the Marines, when they left they forgot some of their treasure on the island, the most important one being a mysterious Devil Fruit they had planned on selling. Now Slick was a hungry 6 year old, not knowing how valuable it was he took a bite of it. It was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like gasoline (not that he knew what that was) but he had already taken a bite of it and he had been taught to never waste food so he swallowed it down like a champ.
This was a horrible idea, for this was the Oiru Oiru Fruit, a Logia type Devil Fruit that turned you into an Oil man. Slick began to melt into a puddle of oil immediately, which was quite terrifying for a 6 year old. As he panicked and flailed his arms about he splashed highly flammable oil everywhere and knocked over a lantern, setting his home on fire. He struggled to maintain his human form and ran outside, his parents did not make it out with him. Orphaned at the age of 6 he was horribly traumatised by the whole incident, mentally locking away the ability to physically become oil so he could never kill someone close to him like he killed his parents. Instead he sought to control what killed them, fire.
He spent the next 13 years of his life tinkering with various ideas and mastering the use of his powers in conjunction with fire, he also rebuilt his parents business and began repairing weapons for pirates. Over the years he became enamored by tales of Gol D Roger and his prowess in battle, some stories had him destroying entire armies with one placed bullet while others would make him out to be a master swordsman. Either way, Slick wanted these legendary weapons, he wanted to be just as strong as Gol D Roger was. but to do that he needed to get a hold of his weapons. So he set off on his journey at the age of 19.
Combat Specialties
Skills and Abilities: Talented repairsman in regards to all different types of weapons, is somewhat skilled in the art of inventing new weapons. Great cook, spent a lot of his life learning to cook for himself. Very fast and somewhat strong, he built up muscles from hammering metal. Devil Fruit: Oiru Oiru Fruit (Oil Oil Fruit): A Logia with the ability to let the user turn into oil and endlessly produce oil, Slick has currently mentally handicapped himself so he can only use it like a Paramecia.
Haki: N/A
Gear: Custom Flamethrower, built to be fueled directly by Slick even in the middle of combat.
Fighting Style: Slick likes to stay away from his opponent and control the battlefield, either by covering it in oil or covering it in oil and the lighting said oil on fire.
Techniques: Oil Oil Skate: Slick covers the bottom of his shoes in oil and skates around the battlefield at high speeds, leaving a trail of oil behind him as he does so. Oil Oil Getaway: Slick covers the ground in oil and then lights it on fire, leaving no way for the opponent to reach Slick as he runs away. Also applicable to deadly effect in sea battles, pouring oil into the ocean, waiting for the enemy ship to sail through the oil and then lighting it all on fire.
Nakama
Crewmate Name: Captain Boone - Slick only kinda respects Boone, sure he's the captain but he hasn't done anything quite memorable enough for him to be truly worth respect. They get along pretty well, but Slick doesn't quite respect Boone despite his status as captain. If it really came down to it, Slick would actually take his position in a heartbeat. He does enjoy his stories though and likes to ask several questions to get details.
Caesar Inu - Caesar and Slick get along, mainly because Slick likes to talk about fire during his therapy sessions and Caesar appreciates that Slick knows how to relax unlike most members of the crew.
Bonesword - Slick likes Bonesword for 3 reasons. One he can make a lot of flammable stuff which is super great, he can make ingredients for cooking which is nice, and he really wants to see how milk affects a living skeleton. Whenever someone is arguing about stuff with Bonesword he'll generally take Bonesword's side, something about the little dude is endearing to him.
Lily Merrycure - Slick gets annoyed with her occasionally when she offers to take over cooking, but does his best to remember that she's just trying to help. He was talking about fire once and she mentioned lighting the fires in people's hearts, Slick took this a little too literally and now thinks she wants him to light people's hearts on fire. Not that he has a problem with that, he quite likes the idea. He finds it a little weird that she tries to mother him considering they're only two years apart, but he takes it in stride. He's very interested in her strange symbiote and wonders how flammable it is. Final note, Slick bugs her from time to time about creating more flammable oils and compounds for him to use. When she doesn't he will either back off for the day or just try and swipe some stuff from her to try and figure it out himself. He has caused more than one explosion on the ship.
Feya - Slick hates hearing about the food pyramid so much, he occasionally sees the food pyramid chasing him in his nightmares. Slick tries to avoid her as much as humanly possible, not out of hate but out of pure unadulterated fear. No human should eat so much every single day. Occasionally he steals from her but after the 3rd time he found his door broken down and the protein powder gone he stopped. Now he just lays down oil in front of her door every now and then. Whenever she starts nagging Bonesword about working out he'll side with Bonesword, but is strangely silent when milk gets brought up. He really wants to see Bonesword drink milk.
Dirk - Slick is kinda indifferent to Dirk, he recognizes the guy doesn't like him too much but doesn't mind. Dirk likes his cooking so he's alright in Slick's book.
Name: Mizushima Isuza Epithet: Undecided. Race: Half-Fishman Age: Eighteen Gender: Female Appearance: Isuza is not hugely impressive in stature, standing at a mere five foot one inch tall. She is thin, but lean and is best described as “athletic” in terms of build because of the dense musculature she possesses. Her skin is a soft tan in color, forged by days of working beneath the hot sun outdoors, with a plush texture that violates expectations of her shark heritage. With large, silver eyes and a round, youthful face, Isuza holds no great deal of intimidation potential despite the rows of jagged teeth that line her thin lipped smile. A long, silky mane of lavender colored haired spills down her shoulders and to the middle of her upper back, often kept tied into a ponytail in the back, and secured by a bandana in the front to allow her unblemished vision while working. She has a long grey fin that extends from between her shoulder blades as a testament of her heritage, as well as a pair of gills on her neck.
Her wardrobe is quite humble for the most part. Her upper body is guarded by a length of bandages across her upper chest to provide modesty, and often augmented with a large haori etched with the title of her father's shipyard on its back. She rarely secures it closed, preferring the freeing sensation of air on skin. Her lower body plays post to a large, baggy pair of fisher pants that allow freedom of movement without getting under her feet by virtue of their length, secured by a simple yellow scarf around her waist. She wears no shoes, even while at port, finding them uncomfortable and unnatural.
Position: Shipwright Bounty: - Jolly Roger: A pair of shark fins circling a snaggletoothed human skull. The design was allegedly used by her mother, whose shark fins were black in color. Isuza’s fins are lavender.
Background
Ambition: Isuza wishes to find her mother for a variety of reasons, as well as see Fishman Island with her own eyes and learn about her people. Likes:
Barbequed Seafood
Woodworking
Swimming Competitions
Dislikes:
Mint
Dishonesty
Abandonment
Quirks: Her teeth, in part because of their shape despite a largely human mouth, often cause her to lisp. Nervousness causes them to grow in at an uncomfortable speed. While most humans might chew on their nails times of stress, this causes Isuza to literally pull her teeth out when anxiety takes her, often leaving trails of dozens in her wake. Personality: Isuza is an overall kind person. She values honesty, compassion, hardwork and “doing what's right” in most cases, and will go out of her way to ensure she lives up to the expectations she has of others, even if it disadvantages herself or her comrades. She is socially inept, unfortunately, in part because of the ostracization her heritage has caused her, leading her to be quite shy in the face of personal interaction by virtue of inexperience. Humble to a fault, she is often over critical of herself and her work and becomes incredible bashful in the face of praise. She is a stubborn individual whose value for dedication often drives her to uncompromising lengths when completing goals she sets for herself, or making good on her word, something she considers sacrosanct.
History: Isuza was born in the aftermath of a battle, somewhere in the Grand Line some eighteen years ago. Her mother, a fishman corsair of some renown, was wounded during a clash with the Marines and left for dead among the tides. Her father, a shipwright working on a nearby island, happened to be the man who found her washed up along the beaches the following morning. A compassionate soul, he took the mercurial fish woman back to his dwelling to nurse her back to health and, as she would learn upon awaking, to hide her from the Marines who would soon be searching the island after spotting her jolly roger tattoo.
What information Isuza has managed to squeeze from her father over the years is scarce, but as far as she knows, this act of kindness stoked the flames of romance between the two. Rather than return to the sea once she was healed, Isuza's mother took to her father's bed and some nine months later, the the hybrid shark girl was born. The romance that created her was short lived, however, as for reasons left unknown to her, the girl's parents split before her second birthday. Isuza's mother returned to the turbulent Grand Line childless and her father, now responsible for an infant, moved to the much safer South Blue to raise his daughter.
Years of working within the Grand Line had drummed up a sizeable nest egg for Isuza’s sire, who used his money to fund a small shipbuilding business on the island of Derringer Cove. She grew with the business, toddling around the drydock to the sound of hammers and files, watching whole vessels spring up from fallen trees and iron nails. When she came of age, the young mutt even began assisting her father and his apprentices build and repair ships at the docks, spending her childhood darting around under the hulls of vessels where humans could not stay for long to patch leaks or scrape barnacles.
Helpful as it was, her origins had made life hard for the girl who, because of her appearance, always lacked for friends. Left alone to her devices, she often daydreamed about her mother, a figure she only learned of through the occasional bedtime story. Sailing the seas as a puckish rogue, digging up treasure and fighting evil pirates and monsters, and perhaps one day, coming home to be with her child and the man who fathered her. She idolized the idea of her mother, but as years ticked by, the childish fantasies evolved to disappointment and feelings of abandonment. It became more and more clear to her that no dashing heroine would come looking for her, that she had been tossed away just like her dad.
It was that realization that pushed Isuza to the sea. She liked her life on the island well enough; being the only shipwrights for several islands around, business was good at she wanted not for food or luxury. She had few friends, true, but she loved her dad dearly and many of the men who had worked for the business over the years saw her as a surrogate daughter of sorts. With the skills she gained both from instruction and hands on work, a promising career was ahead of her… but she couldn't abandon those fantasies. She had to know who brought her into the world. She had to find her mother and demand to know how she could leave them like that.
So she planned. Packed away money and food, prepared a letter for her father with her intentions and awaited her chance; for a crew of ragtag adventurers to land at their docks, looking for repairs. The type of folk she had seen hundreds of times. The type of folk who would fulfill her ambitions.
Combat Specialties
Skills and Abilities: Physiology: As a half-fishman, Isuza is endowed with five times the strength of a normal human on land and even more in the water, as well as the ability to breathe beneath the waves. As a mako shark hybrid, she is uncommonly swift at sea and land even for her smaller size, and possesses a mouthful of sharp, serrated teeth that regenerate often. Shipwright: Isuza is a skilled carpenter and is capable of repairing, designing and creating seaworthy vessels when given the proper supplies and time. She is able to repair moving vessels from below thanks to her fishman genealogy. Devil Fruit: - Haki: - Gear: Isuza carries around a large toolbelt full of saws, hammers, chisels and all the other necessities of her trade. Fighting Style: Isuza is a largely untrained fighter, only knowing the kinds of brawling that she's learned by listening to tales of, and sometimes witnessing, brawls between the workers at her father's company. She uses her size and speed, in combination with her unnatural strength, to grapple or pummel her opponents into submission. Although she has no training in it, she has long dreamt of the incredible feats her mother was said to perform, and by virtue of replication has managed to copy a few “traditional” fishman karate moves. Techniques: Rupture: Isuza launches a hard punch that unknowingly embodies the principles of Fishman Karate, causing the water in her opponent's body to rapidly shift, rupturing organs and muscle tissue. Uchimizu: Gained through repetition of practice and inhuman strength, Isuza launches a single droplet of water at incredible speeds.
Nakama
"Broadsides" Captain Cedric D. Boone: The infamous captain of the Red Rum Pirates often conflicts Isuza. On one hand, he is all that the girl imagined corsairs to be in her youth; fearless, swaggering rogues with a knack for adventure and great care for their crew. On the other, his habits of excessive drinking and boisterous personality make him a difficulty for the nervous lass to deal with on a consistent basis. She believes, however, that inspite of the stark differences in their persons, that Cedric is a good man with strong, if questionable morals that seeks only the best for his crew. She is happy to have the opportunity to serve as his shipwright. Bonesword "The Mushroom Kid": Bonesword is an oddity, something Isuza was as well at his age. His different appearance may ostracize him or even attract negativity among most crowds, but the girl refuses to partake in such, and actively hopes to shield him from the mockery she knows too well. She does question the logic in allowing a boy so young and so fragile (being only bones) onto a pirate vessel, but seeing as he has little other choice, has decided his presence is for the best, though her neurotic tendencies do cause her to worry for him. "The Wolf of the Blue" Caesar Inu: Caesar is not somebody Isuza gets along with often. His lack of drive and conviction contrast heavily with her own strong work ethic. She thinks of him as a lazy bum, although she would never admit such a thing outloud, and often has to shoo him off the decks during routine inspections lest his nap induced flatulence complicate her job. "Black Hood" Dirk Messir: Dirk's instability and tendency to lash out at others often sends Isuza shuffling away from the boy before any meaningful interaction can occur. Her inability to communicate comfortably with most people is only complicated by Dirk's behavior, as such abnormality is completely out of her already narrow comfort zone. "Oilburn" Slick Drake: Isuza holds a fairly high opinion of Slick. His insistence upon cooking what she likes over all else has led to many a tuna-filled tummy and ax pleased shipwright, though she often feels this is a result of her saving his life upon their first meeting. While she is happy to have done it, she thinks she is undeserving of such treatment, as anybody could have assisted him. She is cross with him for the theft of many a chisel and hammer from her workshop, but lacks the backbone to confront him over it and usually just replaces the equipment. Lilliana Merrycure: As with most people, Isuza's feelings on Lilliana are mixed. The quirky, upbeat nature of the group's resident mad scientist tends to make her uncomfortable, but her more maternal side is something Isuza, who largely lacked a figure of that nature in her youth, admires and occasionally yearns for despite their proximity in age. Though rarely does she try nabbing the attention of the zany girl, Isuza has spent many a night explaining why modifications conceived in the metallic girl's lab are not feasible, no matter how cool a giant chainsaw on the bow would be. "Fitness" Feya Nelson: Isuza enjoys Feya's company and work ethic. Indeed, the doctor is the person she is most alike onboard the ship and usually the one she seeks out on rare occasions of social bravery. Her tendency to put Isuza on the spot is frightening, but she appreciates the sentiment of being given a voice, even if she'd prefer to go without one. While her determination is something Isuza admires, it also is the result of great guilt. While Feya actively puts herself through hellish training to build her strength, Isuza's natural fishman power keeps the two of them neck and neck in the contests they undertake. The shark girl feels her ability to keep up with somebody so much more dedicated than she is completely unfair, and if not for her insistence on honesty and straight shooting, she likely would throw some of these friendly matches to the deserved winner.
Name: Cedric Daniel Boone Epithet: "Broadsides" Boone Race: Human Age: 38 Gender: Male Appearance: Cedric is 6'11 and weighs 240 pounds. He is white but sports a good tan. He has short dark brown hair with a 7 o'clock shadow on his face and a bald spot on the back of his head. He is pretty muscular for his weight from many hours of sweat and toil. He has a small beer gut with a royal purple shirt over it. Over top that he wears a long sleeved bright red pirate coat with golden buttons and golden embroidery decorated on it. Atop his head is a unicorn styled hat facing front to back in the same red color and a golden feather sticking out of it. His lower half wears royal purple colored pants with a golden stripe running down them. Golden shoes. Position: Captain/Navigator/Marksman Bounty: 31,000,000 belli
Background
Ambition: Cedric desires for his nakama to get to their dreams, even at his own expense. For himself, however, he wants to find freedom from alcoholism and the pain he harbors inside. Finding his father's lifelong dream treasure is a great want of his. With the help of his family, he may one day get that treasure and the closure he desires.

Quirks: Cedric fancies himself as quite a good shot. Unfortunately, while drunk (which happens often), he misses everything he shoots at. This can be from as little as one foot to a mile away. Also, while drunk, he has severe mood swings that can range from jovial and cheerful to downright depressed in a short period of time. His laugh is a bawdy "Brawhahahaha!" Admiring the "D's" of the world, Cedric decided to announce himself to others as "Cedric D. Boone" instead of "Daniel." This has resulted in both positive and very negative consequences. Weaker enemies may flee from the "D" alone while stronger ones will take it as a challenge. Either way Boone has taken a liking to the sound of it. The names he gives his attacks are also notoriously bland or predictable. He is very bad with creative naming and his enemies as well as his allies point this fact out constantly.
Personality: Cedric D. Boone is a man of extremes and an all or nothing kind of guy. He believes in "leading from the front" and dislikes those who push the dirty work to their subordinates while doing nothing themselves. He cares for his family very deeply; laying down his own life, desires and dreams for them without hesitation. He realizes that only through unity with one another can they accomplish their greatest ambitions, together. He has a heart for people that are hurting; whether that is from abuse, depression or slavery and is a sucker for a good sob story. Prideful nobles make him very angry. Cedric also gives off an overconfident vibe. Sometimes, he bites off more than he and others can chew; making grandiose promises and boasts he has very little chance of accomplishing. With this, he tells some pretty far-fetched tales that may or may not be true for some levity's sake. He harbors very deep pain from a great loss he suffered many years ago. He takes to the bottle to help relieve this pain and he doesn't open up about it except for when he is inebriated.
History: Cedric Daniel Boone grew up on a small island in South Blue. It was there that his father, Griswold Boone, taught him the skills of a sailor. He learned how to tie knots, catch fish, swim, raise/lower sails and many other necessary boating abilities. He was a dark haired, bearded man with broad shoulders and strong girth. Unfortunately for Cedric and his gentle mother, Griswold was a raging alcoholic.
His whole life Griswold had searched for a great treasure that alluded him. Griswold had spent his youth and entire fortune searching for it across the Four Blues. During a particularly dreadful storm, he embarked off his ship, onto his rowboat, trying to save a comrade from drowning. As he rowed out a Sea King attacked his ship and destroyed it along with the rest of his crew. When he turned back the man he went to save was nowhere to be seen. After the storm passed, he found himself on an island in the middle of South Blue. It was there Griswold tried to rebuild his shattered life and claim some sense of normality.
10 years later... While sober, Griswold, gave off a teachable and kind spirit towards his family and others. He was exactly like the man known for his bravery and cheerful attitude during his adventures across the seas. It is what Cedric's mother, Adeline, fell in love with. However, Griswold never let the past go and the deaths of his crew along with the wasted years, haunted him at night. He turned to the bottle in desperation, rather than seeking help from his wife and other kind souls on the island. It turned him into something he was not.
While Griswold was under the influence, he berated his family with an occasional beating thrown in now and again for good measure. Cedric's mother, Adeline, would never speak badly of her husband and taught Cedric the value of love and forgiveness. She would always remember the times "Gris" as she affectionately called him, gave her flowers and took her out on his boat to watch the sunset. Though Cedric constantly forgave Griswold for his abuse, he did not get healing for the deep wounds his two-faced father inflicted upon him. He even took to sneaking drinks from him when he wasn't around and consolidated in his childhood friend Elizabeth. She had ambitions to become the head mid-wife of the island to help deliver children safely into their parent's arms. She was a brunette with piercing brown eyes and a very strong will. They spent many afternoons together away from the chaos that was Cedric's father.
Some time after his father began spiraling into full blown alcoholism , Cedric went out fishing with him on their boat. The weather wasn't particularly good for fishing. There were many dark clouds about which threatened rain. His dad did not heed his warning and took them out regardless. While out, Cedric smelled alcohol under his dad's breath. He knew it would not bode well for them..As the clouds started to pour rain and the sky became darker and darker; Cedric urged his dad to turn back before they were lost at sea. Pulling a bottle from the bait case, Griswold took a long swig and hit Cedric with it. Blood streamed down his head from the blow. Griswold told him they weren't going anywhere and they would be with his crew soon enough. Terrified, Cedric watched helplessly as the storm approached and took their boat on a wild ride. The winds howled, while the waves tossed them too and fro. His Dad was surprisingly calm during the whole ordeal. Cedric knew that if they did not row back towards shore they would perish from the storm. Griswold would kill them both for his own sick satisfaction.
The man turned towards the sea with outstretched arms and yelled for it to take them both. Tears mixed with rain and blood ran down Cedric's face. Great sadness, anger and fear moved the forsaken son to grab hold of one of the oars and with both hands raised it up. Just as Griswold turned back, Cedric brought the oar across his head with all the strength he muster. There was a dull thud and a grunt. Cedric watched in fear and amazement as Griswold disappeared into the raging waters. He looked on, dumbfounded, for some time. Brought to his senses by the noise, he took the oars and rowed with all his might. He had to escape, he had to get out of there. He fought against the raging seas for hours. Afterward, he collapsed from exhaustion, but lo and behold, the storm had subsided! He was free from his father, but would he be considered a murderer for what he did? He shook at the thought.
In the aftermath of the storm, Cedric managed to row home and meet his mother. She was distraught by the news. Cedric had told her Griswold was lost at sea. He felt guilty but did not want anyone to know what he did. Especially his mom. Unremarkably, things improved after Griswold's demise. Cedric swore he would never become an alcoholic like his father. He spent more time with Elizabeth and became very close with her. She would oftentimes, talk about the future they could have together. She would list names she liked, and asked Cedric what he thought very frequently. Cedric thought one day at a time and considered her far-off sight to be silly and distracting from the here and now. Though her company helped him keep his mind off of his lost father and he was fond of her. Though, not in the same way. His mother seemed take pleasure in watching the two enjoy one an others company. There seemed to be a fire that was rekindled his mother's eyes. They were some of the best times of Cedric's life.
At the age of 16 a passing merchant vessel came by. Cedric decided it was time for him to go off on his own adventures and maybe find the treasure his father had spent his whole life seeking. Adeline was saddened by the news, but realized she could not keep her son in that place. He was made for greatness and she gave him her blessing. Elizabeth was very upset and tried to convince him to stay. She begged and pleaded, worried that she would lose her only friend that truly understood her. Cedric reassured her that he would be back. He needed to head out into the seas. There he would learn how to be a man. Bidding farewell, he took off into the great blue.
Cedric became a sailor to various ships and vessels over the next 9 years. He learned the finer art of navigation from excellent teachers. They said he had a natural compass inside him, a 'gift'. He didn't understand the reasoning behind it, but utilized it very well. He liked his work, but he did not get the extreme adventures he had imagined in his head as a child and as his father had once told him. Every few years he would return home. On one occasion his mother greeted him warmly and told him of the goings on of the island. Including Elizabeth taking over the position of head midwife at a very young age. Her predecessor had become very sick and was on the verge of death. Elizabeth embraced Cedric and was ecstatic that he had returned. She had become quite a stunning woman. Her eyes seems to pierce Cedric into his soul and she had a tall stately look about her. Cedric had grown as well. No longer a boy, but a strong tough, but still kind-hearted man. Despite telling her he was only visiting for a short while, she acted as if she hadn't heard him. She went on about how their life would like now that he had had his adventures and she was head mid-wife. Everything would be perfectly in order from now on. Cedric once again, informed her that he was not staying. She became visibly upset and cried on his arm for some time until Cedric was at the point of embarrassment. She wanted to know why he continued to avoid her feelings. He responded that he did not feel the same way about her. She was like an old family friend. Cedric was not ready to settle down. She was greatly distraught over this news, but she quickly regained her composure. If that was the way he felt, she would respect his decision. It was quite something how quickly she could change her demeanor from sad to composed. He left home with a wave and promised to bring great riches the next time he returned and make the whole island rich. The townsfolk laughed in unison. Cedric had become something like a folk town hero. Bringing new trading vessels and more wealth to the people of their island. Elizabeth looked on quietly and as Cedric waved one last time before departure, cried to herself.
During one of his stays at a mercantile port, he met the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. Her eyes were the brightest green and her long, auburn hair flowed behind her gracefully as she walked. She was a petite but fiery woman. She was a spinster in a weaving shop. Boone knew he couldn't live another hour without her and tried courting her..to humorous results. Despite his awkwardness and tough guy act, she eventually warmed up to him and revealed her name, Amber. Over time, he sent many gifts to her with his extra funds acquired on his travels. He eventually proposed to her at the port after months of courtship and she gleefully accepted.
Afterward, they traveled to Cedric's home island. As promised, but not as expected, Cedric had brought "great riches", the beauty Amber. He introduced her to his mother, Adeline. She was happy for them and took a liking to her immediately. Elizabeth was very surprised, but maintained a polite demeanor around them both. When Cedric was along she would visit with him and explain to him he was making a mistake. Amber was shallow and didn't have the body type to rear children. However, Elizabeth said she was very capable. Cedric rebuffed her attempts at seducing him and demanded an apology. She quickly did and lowered her head submissively. Cedric, being the forgiving man he was, accepted her apology. They moved on like it never happened...
Within a few days, Cedric and Amber were married in the sight of the whole island at the respective ages of 27 and 25. They enjoyed blissful years of marriage on the island. During this period his mother passed away in a strange illness that had recently taken hold of certain individuals of the island. It happened slowly, but eventually ended in her death. Cedric was extremely sorrowful that he'd never gotten to tell her the truth of what happened to his father. He confided in Amber and she comforted him in the wake of his mother's death. Elizabeth mostly kept to herself and took care of the pregnant women of the island. She was applauded for her skillful work. She could easily make much more money in bigger towns and cities of South Blue, but remained with them regardless. She would greet the couple whenever she saw them and remained very polite. Cedric was distant to her, but Amber reminded him of the good things she was doing for the town and how he had confided in her when he needed someone most.
One day, Amber informed Cedric she was pregnant. Though hesitant at first, but due to Amber's insistence, they asked Elizabeth if she would take care of Amber for the duration of the pregnancy. She was the head mid-wife after all. She happily accepted and the couple became good friends with Elizabeth for the first few months of the pregnancy. Cedric was so excited he decided to set off on a voyage in order to make more belli to provide for his growing family. But not before he took Elizabeth aside and asked her to look out for Amber with her life. Elizabeth promised she wouldn't let anything happen to her. With Amber's blessing he left the island at the age of 29. He was gone for a period of 4 months due to storm complications. By the time he returned, Elizabeth sorrowfully informed him that Amber had died along with the child due to complications in birth a few days prior. He demanded to see their graves. She took them to their graves on a hill by his mother's old house. They were buried right next to her and a placeholder for his father. There he spent the next week in grief, weeping bitterly. The townsfolk tried to comfort him, but he was inconsolable. He began to drink excessively to numb the pain. Finally, Elizabeth came and wrapped her arms around his neck in tears. She said she was so sorry for his losses and that she would be there for him if ever he needed her. He thanked her for her kind words and accepted her condolences. However, it was too soon to start afresh. The loss was too close to his heart. He had to leave and find a purpose, wherever or whatever that might be.
Cedric went back to his job as a navigator to merchant ships. His drinking problem was increasingly exacerbated by the long days at sea. He couldn't get past the pain of his losses and drowned his sorrows in the bottle. When he had drunk enough, he would forget, for a time. He sailed almost purposeless for some time. Until that fateful day Gol D. Roger was executed, but not before issuing the infamous line about the One Piece. After Cedric heard the news in the paper, he realized what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. He wanted to be an honorable pirate who looked out for the downtrodden and helped them fulfill their dreams. He would lift them up rather then beat them down. He would be everything his father was not. This would be true, except for his excessive drinking.
More years went by. He became stronger and more adventurous every day. Joining a pirate crew, Cedric had acquired a powerful blunderbuss and was and excellent shot with it to boot. It cost him and arm and a leg but he was able to have it custom build with specialized ammunition. He changed his wardrobe as well, going for flashy eye-popping colors to bring some energy onto the scene. He still struggled with his addiction, but among other pirates, it was easier to hide it.
Combat Specialties
Skills and Abilities:
Boating - Cedric is skilled in the art of boating from many years of experience. This includes tying knots, sailing, steering the ship expertly, judging location by the stars and many other boat related skills. This includes great balance on unstable platforms. He is able to climb and leap from them very easily.
Marksman - He is an excellent shot with his weapon of choice, his blunderbuss.
Swordsmanship - He is a decent swordsman and utilizes a large bayonet on his blunderbuss for close quarters fighting.
Durability - Cedric can take a whole lot of punishment and this is multiplied greatly while he is drunk due to him having less feeling. When he sobers up however..
Master Navigator - Perhaps Cedric's greatest ability is being able to chart a course from a position and get to another without any chance of getting lost. However, if Cedric has forgotten or doesn't know where they or the place they want to go to is, this ability will not work.
Willpower - Cedric has a "never give up" attitude and will fight to the end for his family and the things he believes in.
Devil Fruit: N/A Haki: Conqueror's Haki - Locked
Gear: Custom-built blunderbuss that fires different types of ammo; strapping it to his back. Fancy clothing. Two pistols on his hips. Ammunition stored in his jacket. Navigation tools.
Fighting Style: Cedric specializes in mid-long range combat utilizing his blunderbuss to fire different types of ammunition as the situation calls for it. If an opponent gets in close he is by no means defenseless and can wield his bayonet decently and carries shotgun ammo to blow them away. His pistols are mostly for show and some last defense fighting.

Nakama
Captain Cedric D. Boone is fiercely protective of his crew whom he truly considers like a family. He loves them despite their many quirks and problems. Though he may sometimes become exasperated by their choices and antics. However, at the end of the day, he desires for them to be able to accomplish their dreams.
Bonesword - Cedric thinks of Bonesword like the son he never was able to enjoy. He sees greatness in him and wants to nurture that to the fullest extent. Making him firstmate was his way to put greater responsibility on BS and in turn, groom him into a strong leader. Cedric sees BS as very strong with only potential for improvement. He even asks BS to teach any crew members who want to learn the art of the sword; Cedric included. They like to enjoy a good drink together, but only when Cedric is already inebriated. Otherwise he says something like,"Children and skeleton children should not drink this young." He tries to ignore the whole "tea party thing."
Dirk - Dirk is definitely a strange one. Cedric sees him as not fully there in the head and treats him with a kind demeanor. Whenever Dirk needs someone to talk to about his issues Cedric is always willing to lend and ear and give him advice. Sometimes ill-advised. Realizing Dirk is sometimes in a sad place, Boone tries to lift his spirits with a funny story or joke. Unfortunately, Dirk doesn't understand his jokes very well. Whenever Cedric needs something done stealthily, Dirk is his man. Though Cedric realizes Dirk does not have the usual emotional development for his age; Boone sees great power and ambition in him. This both excites and concerns him. What Dirk does with it will make all the difference.
Slick - Slick and Cedric met each other on the wrong foot. You could call it a misunderstanding, except for the fact that Slick was actively trying to set his ship ablaze. After knocking him overboard, another crew member asked if they could save him. Though hesitating at first, he agreed and Slick was helped aboard. Cedric has been wary of Slick because of his pyromaniac tendencies, but after Slick explained his reasoning, Cedric has become more trusting. That being said, he puts him to work constantly in order to make sure he doesn't get bored and burn the ship accidentally.
Caesar - Boone and Caesar are a mismatch of similar and different character traits. Boone hard-working, Caesar utterly lazy. But both enjoy alcohol too much. Boone can become exasperated with Caesar but does genuinely care about him. He encourages him to get to work when he is lazying about. Seeing how he has many less issues then the other crew, Boone decided to make him the crews' shrink; very shortly after he was "saved." Both to give him something to do and to make everybody's lives more stress free like Caesar's. While having a session with Caesar, Cedric will explain his alcohol problem. After a few minutes, they usually end up drinking anyway.
Isuza -
Feya - Feya is a firebrand and has just the right kind of enthusiasm Cedric loves. Her tenacity and go get em attitude is just what their crew of misfits needs to whip them into shape. She can be a little overbearing at times, especially when Cedric is trying to engage in his favorite pastime, drinking. She will berate and punch him to the point he will drink in secret in order to avoid her watchful eyes. When not drinking, Cedric gives Feya some goals he would like to get the rest of the crew on. Training, working out and other physical activities. She is the best workout trainer he has ever seen and even takes part from time to time.
Lilliana - Lilliana was one of the two first members to join Cedric's crew. She had taken Bonesword under her wing and Cedric realized she would be an invaluable asset not only for her motherly skills, but for her medical/tech knowledge. A solid doctor is just what the uh..doctor ordered. Cedric and Lili are very cordial around the rest of the crew. When engaging in one on one conversations they are much more personal. Cedric feels able to ask for advice regarding members of the crew or problems he is facing. Lilliana is always willing to lend her kind ear and advice to Captain Cedric D. Boone.
Name: Lilliana Merrycure Epithet: The Iron Rose. Race: Human. Age: 21. Gender: Female. Appearance: Standing at 5'3 and weighing about 210 lbs due to B-mo, Lilliana is a girl with a bounce in her step and an air of humble confidence about her. She can typically seen wearing a dress or outfit of some kind, preferring a mixture of stylish, pretty, and practical. She likes to move and dance around, hence her usually wearing dresses with plenty of fabric for her to move, or with slits on the side for increased mobility. Perhaps her most prominent physical trait, her eyes sparkle with light and curiosity, and refract light, almost as if made from crystal or glass. Her wings on the other hand are not always visible, instead tending to be retracted into the strange crystal/metallic feathers that drape around her neck and atop her shoulders somewhat. Beyond that Lilliana has a medium bust and athletic legs and derriere. Oh, and orange hair, her hair is orange. Did you see it? Good.
Note: Lilliana is a little sensitive about her weight...even though the extra weight has to do with her, um, symbiotic companion B-mo.
Ambition: What with her being an aspiring woman of science, Lilliana really really wants to meet Vegapunk, or at least see as many of his technological marvels as she can, and to do that she must travel the world. Plus, since many of them were commissioned for the government and its marines, she figures that there's no better way to draw them out and crack them open than to join a crew and become enough of a threat to warrant their deployment. She's wild like that. As a side note, she'd also love to build something almost indestructible...and then find someone who can break it.

Quirks: Lilliana, Lily, Merry, well, she's mercurial as all hell and when she isn't super honed in on something her emotions and attention are a little all over the place. She can be cutesy, flirty, and curious about everyone in one moment, and then on to the next thing a minute later. She's also has the tendency to act forgetful even though she has nigh perfect memory. Also, don't tell her she has a machine fetish, and don't call her weird for it. SHE'S NOT WEIRD FOR LIKING MACHINES OKAY!
Personality: Lily has an intense fear of getting sand in her toes...also damaging her hands, arms, or wings in any way, but she likes handshakes, and milkshakes mmmn~. She goes absolutely nuts over the wounded, be they a person or an animal or a piece of technology, or a ship treating them like a mother hen treats her chicks. She takes great joy in helping others, even if those 'others' aren't people. She's generally pretty selfless, looking out for her friends, comrades, and feeling responsible when they get hurt—even when they're not strictly her responsibility. She beats herself up emotionally when she can't help, or sees people hurting, feeling as if she should have been there to do something. Of course, perhaps the three most notable traits to keep in mind are as follow:
1.) While Lillian is the sort of person who is very difficult to anger or annoy, tending to laugh instead, she is also the sort that will get angry if her things are broken, stolen, or if those she cares for are hurt. She will go from 0 to 100 real fuckin' quick if someone beats up people who don't deserve it, and/or her friends, which can result from her turning into what many think a somewhat mercurial saint to a vengeful demon. You know what they say, no wrath like a woman.... Shut up, that's the whole quote
2.) She's outright obsessive over advanced technology and her creations. When she is tinkering, mending, or healing someone she is not to be interrupted because she will go ballistic, and then go back to tending to whatever it is. She also can't stand shoddy work, so remember that.
3.) She can get incredibly absorbed in the world around her or her activities, but not both at once, giving her a weird sort of tunnel vision where she can either see the big picture and loses out on the small components, or vice versa. As a result, she can become embroiled in the mechanics of a toaster in one moment, with the rest of the world being dead to her, and then later she can understand the workings of an entire city, but not get the toaster...or the people around her. There's just, some kind of disconnect in her brain it seems.
Growing up on a small, little known island in South Blue to Iman and Callie Merrycure, Lilliana came into the world of a happy couple and community both. Her childhood was spent playing with the children of the village, and shadowing her parents when she wasn't, her curiosity driving her ever forwards. Both parents, wanting a bit of a stake in what she did later in life, taught her some of their craft, but it was her mother's that intrigued her most. She loved tinkering, she loved science and technology, finding the toys and inventions her mom made for her and the village absolutely fascinating even at a young age.
She was building her own little devices by the age of 7, and so her mother took her into her shop and taught her traditionally. However, when she wasn't in the shop she was out in the morning playing with kids on the beach. On one unfortunate day her friends and her were swimming and she went a bit too far out. While she did eventually manage to get back to shore, her friends had pulled back to the edge of the forest where the sand ended...and had brought her shoes with them. As a result, the sands of their island—ever littered with metal particulate—seared her feet as she ran to them, getting in her toes. They didn't heal for several weeks, and they only did because of the expertise of her father, who was the village doctor.
She never forgot that terrible burning feeling of sand in her toes and on her feet...and she likely never would.
The next year, at 8, she and her friends ventured into the island's rainforest and explored some of its caves. Being a curious little adventurer, Lilliana made her way deeper than all of her friends, and despite them telling her to come back, she kept on, eventually falling down a hole and landing in a huge chamber oddly filled with blue unnatural light. She wandered through, a little scared, but more curious than anything—her eyes filled with wonder as she looked upon the strange silver tree-lookin' thingies before her. She placed a hand on the trunk of one and found it only faintly warm to the touch. Looking up at it she had wondered what it was.
Then, having heard something fall nearby, she ran in that direction to investigate. What she found was a large seed-shaped metallic object about the size of her two balled fists put together. Kneeling down cautiously, her curiosity overtaking her, she reached out and touched it. Nothing happened. Frowning a bit, hse picked it up and decided to take it back with her. Having brought a backpack, she put it in there and then looked for a way out. She never found it and many hours passed, resulting in her crying herself to sleep, so scared was she that she'd never be found.
When she woke up however, she was out of the cave. She felt different, weird, but wasn't sure why so grateful was she to be out. Running home she was only notified of what had changed when her mother brought her hands over her mouth in shock. Something had attached itself to her neck, shoulders and back...something metallic, and the seed-like object was gone. The next few days were spent trying to remove it, but to no avail, it was integrated too deeply with her body for that.
After some time she found that the thing was helpful, every so often picking things up for her, or forming an arm to catch her when she tripped and fell. She started testing it, trying to make it do things willfully and eventually she succeeded and it became more active and more useful. After two or so years she could use it in her tinkering and sometimes it would help her without her consciously wishing it. She took to calling the creature B-MO as a nickname for what her parents had titled it.
While they had asked her where to find it, and she'd tried to show them, they could never find that cave again...strangely enough.
As Lilliana grew up, becoming an adolescent, she found that her wish to explore and to create only grew and with B-MO on her, most of the people in the village didn't have any interest in...well, her. That or they only had interest in B-MO, which just wasn't acceptable to the teenage girl that she was. She grew frustrated with her small town life, craving adventure.
Worrying after her, her mother decided to show Lily something special, and so took her out to a part of the village she'd never been to. The power plant. A marvel of science, the power plant was like nothing she'd ever seen before. So many moving parts, and it generated power for the entire island. It amazed her. Wondering who had made it, she asked, and lo and behold her mom said “A man named Vegapunk.” Wowed, Lily, in the ensuing days, became obsessed with reading anything she could about the man.
There wasn't much about him, but there was plenty about his inventions and scientific prowess. Her obsession grew into a nerdy little crush, and that crush fed into her want for adventure. So it was that on her 15th birthday she told her mother she wanted to sail the seas. Not terribly surprised, her mom told her that she was to learn medicine from her father first. It took a few days but Lily finally gave in and accepted. Thus the next five years were spent training with her father to learn the medical and biological sciences. After that...it was merely a question of how she would go to sea.
She'd soon find out.
Combat Specialties
Skills and Abilities: Lilliana's most prominent natural ability is her memory, which is almost perfect—though she likes to act like it's not. As a result of this, and her mercurial nature, she has picked up a great many skills, though she is not overly proficient in many of them. They are listed below:
Sewing.
Science: Biological/Medical/Electrical/Engineering etc.
Tinkering/building/disassembling, and understanding machinery.
Can tell where she is using her memory, but only on land. At sea she's hopelessly lost.
Singing.
Beyond the above she's studied a little bit of a few martial arts, though she never had a teacher. As a result she just has a technical understanding of combat, rather than a mechanical one meaning that if anything she's a novice or amateur at best. While she has rough housed—much to the chagrin of her parents—with some of the children of the village earning her some bruises here and there over the years, she is in no way an amazing combatant. Still, with the augmentations of B-MO, and the crazy levels of dexterity she possesses from tinkering and her medical work she can be difficult to deal with. The aforementioned augmentations have the result of enhancing her bones considerably and amplifying her lift strength considerably. This makes it difficult to tear her apart, or for her to tear muscles, or for her to break bones though she is otherwise just as vulnerable as they next gal.
As a result of the symbiote B-MO, she can be seen moving objects 2-8 times her own weight, though her striking strength is around twice that of an athletic woman of her size at best. Beyond this, she is denser than most people, making it either easier or harder to make her fall over depending on if she is braced against it or not. It also means she has more weight to throw around than her frame would imply. Lastly, one should note a unique trait she was born with which is as follows:
Oh yeah, and she's like, really good at figuring out how things are put together even without taking them apart. Her understanding gets exponentially more accurate as she breaks something more, or looks inside it.
Devil Fruit: N/A. Haki: Locked.
B.M.O: Short for Biological Metallic Organism, this creature typically takes the form of a metal/crystalline feather-like scarf around Lilliana's neck and shoulders. The reality is it is an organism that grows deep deep inland of the island she grew up on, and that attached itself to her early in life. As a result the organism has grown into and onto her body, integrating itself into her biological make-up in a symbiotic relationship. As a result, Lilliana's body has been hybridized, making her more physically strong by reinforcing muscle and bone with the strange organism's own material. The creature has few real needs, though it does require to occasionally ingest iron or other materials that would usually be toxic in large quantities. As a result, she is essentially immune to food poisoning, and especially mercury.
The B.M.O, due to connecting directly to her spinal column and brain, basically affords her both a defense and offensive tool, not to mention a pair of limbs she can willfully control. The B.M.O will generally remain complacent to her whims unless it senses that she is in great danger, in which case it will consume a great amount of stored metallic resources in her body, and then form or spherical metal cocoon to defend her. It can also defend her from strikes on its own while she works.
The B.M.O has two states and three forms at current time. It can be a liquid metal—though not hot—or it can be solid, making it resistant even to things such as bullets, swords, or blunt weapons. As to its forms, it can generally become a protective sphere, wings, or it can morph into several pairs of thin spindly arms, with fingers just as spindly. Combinations of these forms are possible, but she's not as good at controlling them. The arms are far stronger than she is.
Lastly it should be noted that while she can't make it take on much else at the moment in terms of forms, that she can have it “melt” into a viscous liquid-like state where she can guide it, and then will it to solidify.
Medical Supplies: This is a bag containing supplies for treating the wounded. Bandages, sewing tools for knitting flesh. Scalpels, ointments, pain killers, that sort of thing. This bag is very orderly.
Tinkering Supplies: Full of various unique materials, and random metal scraps, used for tinkering. She doesn't always carry this. This bag is not orderly, but she tends to know where things are.
Advanced Compass: Works on islands, but does not tell you where other islands are. The Compass adjusts to the local area via a series of advanced dials and the like, allowing the user to tell certain directions, but little else. This mostly prevents going in circles
Multi-tool: Welding, cutting, etc. She uses it for tinkering and measuring. It was a gift from her grandmother.
Locket: A gift from her mother. It holds immense sentimental value. A strange symbol on the outside, a picture of her mom and dad on the inside, and a strange mechanism she hasn't noticed nor figured out yet.
Fighting Style: She prefers to fight either wildly or defensively as her combat style mirrors her personality in some ways. However, usually she fights with a plan, breaking her opponent's behavior and abilities down in her head, and then putting them back together to create as accurate a model as she can, after which she finds a way to break the model and then her adversary. She usually fights in defense of others, but she will defend herself and her creations if and when necessary. She tends to be a close range combatant, relying heavily on B-MO as her primary weapon and tool.
Techniques:
Melty Arms: A defensive technique, Lillian wills B-mo to become a liquid, then lets it coat her arms, after which point she solidifies it in sections or when necessary essentially armoring her arms without limiting her movements.
FIST!: A simple technique used only after she's used Melty Arms, Lily winds back her arm, and then slams her biometal coated fist right into something, or someone. Has enough force behind it to send light-medium sized/weight objects a few meters, to make someone stagger, and/or to knock the air out of someone or stun them briefly. The attack is very fast, but is easy to predict if you've seen it before or know combat better than her. The technique has variations such as UPPERCUT!
Syringer!: She throws a loaded syringe at someone in need of the heals. The syringe depressed upon sinking into skin, giving that good healing medicines! Useful for on the field medical help, but is usually just a temporary fix, as it's mostly an adrenaline and painkiller shot. Conversely she can use this on enemies, as it will give them a power boost, and then once it wears off they'll be exhausted. Plus any injuries they gain while affected by the drug will seem less severe than they really are.
B-mo's Defense: A last ditch defense that can only be initiated by B-mo. This will occur only if she is in such danger that she feels she can't defend herself. When activated her wings will liquify, metal will seep from her pores rapidly, and then solidify into a sphere of metal encasing her body. Until her fear or weakness subside, or someone comes to her rescue, this sphere will remain in place. Still, the ability has limited defensive properties, as while she can get air whilst in it, she is very vulnerable to—say—being dropped into the water where she will not float. Additionally the biometal is not an ultimate defense as it can be drilled through, broken, or melted with sufficient force or heat. Also, sending her flying into something hard/with great force, will still affect her while she's within as the force will still transfer through, likely doing damage while she is inside the sphere.

Caesar Inu: Though he's of fur and she's of flesh, Lilliana considers Caesar another part of her quirky little family. He's lazy, and she scolds him for it at times, doting on him the rest of the time. When she's doing neither the two get along quite well, enjoying eachother's company, though he laughs at her sometimes...which is a little frustrating, but oh well! No one's perfect.
Dirk Messir: Feeling like he's a quirky child who needs to have an eye kept on him, Lily likes Dirk. He's a fun, neat guy with some interesting mannerisms.
Bonesword: She treats him as if he were her own child. She is incredibly protective of him whenever he gets hurt. The two are relatively close and very friendly.
Slick Drake: Considering Slick to be something of a troublemaker, Lily keeps an eye on him to make sure he doesn't set fire to himself or anything else important. Beyond this, she finds him relatively likable and while his food is usually delicious, it is also fattening so sometimes she offers to cook as well. Due to Slick's slight insecurity about his cooking this can sometimes lead to friction, but more often than not she tries to learn from him and praise his dishes where she can in an effort to build his confidence. Similarly, she does her utmost to guide his pyromaniacal tendencies to positive goals, such as lighting the fires in others hearts and also dealing with any enemies or obstacles in their path. Due to his age, and her awareness of her "mothering," she tries to give him his space. Though, as a mother would, she doesn't always do so when he needs it and actually finds his slight resistance to her kind of adorable.
Mizushima Isuza: TBA. Cedric D. Boone: : Lily respects Cedric for bringing so many people together and keeping them together as well. She finds his confidence inspiring, and his ambition something to look up to. Knowing that he is older than her often prevents her from mothering him too much, but the two are quite close, and while when around others they are somewhat cordial, they are different away from prying eyes. When not pressured by the expectations put upon a leader she becomes more than willing to offer advice or do anything else so that he will be ready when he must face the world, and more importantly, his crew again. Feya Nelson: TBA.
Name: Feya Nelson Epithet: “Fitness Feya” Race: Human Age: 24 Gender: Female Appearance: Feya has a rather pale complexion. Her skin has no color and might resemble that of a corpse. Not only has she lost color in her skin, but also in her eyes and hair. Her entire appearance looks lifeless. Despite the pigmentation, Feya does proud herself on one aspect: her body. From excessive grooming and cardiovascular exercise, she keeps her body fit as an Egyptian temple. Her abs demonstrate the resolve and determination she places into her work outs. Even her dental work is impressive; as they say, when she smiles the whole world stops for a while. All in all, the bitch is well-toned. She is rather freakishly tall for a woman. Feya stands at 6 feet in all her glory; her weight is around 190lbs. Her attire is limited to loosely fitted clothing. She prefers to wear clothes that are ideal for a workout. It helps with her flexibility immensely. Sometimes she will break into a sports bra followed by shorts. Other times she will sport a tank top with sweatpants. There are a few interesting characteristics about Feya. She does have thick eyebrows. When exercising, she does release a lot of sweat from her wrists. She tries to prevent this by wearing two black wrist bands. Finally, she does refuse to wear anything white so most of her clothes are in color.
Position:Doctor Bounty: 0 Jolly Roger:
Background
Ambition: Whenever Feya sees her reflection, she recognizes a confident and established woman. Her physique gives her the motivation to continue the day. She puts a lot of sweat and pain her work out sessions. As one of her mantras goes, “No pain, no gain.” Ultimately, she admires her strength. However, she acknowledges there is room for improvement. The woman knows there is more power to the human body that many people are not aware of. Feya wishes to push her body through unbreakable limits. She wants to build herself against dangerous trials and overcome any obstacle. She does this to fill two objectives. One of her ambitions is to enable herself to control every single muscle in her body. The body only uses 10% percent muscle. By applying and using all of her muscles, she would have admirable strength. Her second objective is to travel the world and find the best workout routine. Feya is not a selfish person and does want to motivate people to be in tip top shape. A sedentary lifestyle increases the risk for a lot of fatal conditions. She has sworn that she will write a self-help book. Her novel will have the most effective workout drills and routines that will inspire millions of inactivity.

Quirks: Feya is confident about her appearance but is self-conscious about her complexion. Any comment regarding her being white as snow makes her go into a psychotic rage. She is fixated on being the best; most likely, this does diagnose her as a perfectionist. Feya can be unbelievably competitive. She might turn something serious into a competition regardless of the situation. She does not like losing. If she does lose, she takes it out on herself by completing more work out sessions. Another strange quirk of hers is that she does do several exercises in her free time. She could be caged up in someone’s basement and start doing sit-ups just because. The last abnormal habit of hers is that she loves raw eggs. Personality: Feya can be a bit cruel at times. She doesn’t know the word subtlety. Nor can she easily inform someone the truth in a careful manner. “You’re going to die a painful death,” would be something she would say outright to a patient. Feya is also determined to take on any challenges. She does not partake in trials to prove anything to anyone; Feya is focused on impressing herself only. The physical woman stands to be conceited and athletic. A combination that does give her a big head. She does have another personality. As a doctor, she does try to keep everything in a professional manner despite her honest outbursts. Her will to help others overcome disease, sickness and injury is something she is passionate about. History:
Feya’s physical health was not exceptional back then. Her past life is a reminder to keep her body up to recommended standards. Her biggest fear is reforming back to the person she used to be. Feya had a horrible habit that was slowly killing her. The woman could barely breathe or walk a couple of blocks without becoming winded.
Everyday Feya would take pleasure in finishing a pack of cancer sticks. She couldn’t help herself and always relied on a cigarette. Her addiction to nicotine had her sometimes wake up in the middle of the night for a smoke. She did spend an abundance of money and time smoking. It had affected her health tremendously, though not her appearance.
Feya didn’t have a hobby to distract her from the cruelty of the world. Being albino was a rarity, but most people gawked at her or treated her differently. Bricks were thrown at her and insults were another disgusting matter. Smoking was the one stress reliever that blocked everything out.
She began smoking at the age of 15. Life at the orphanage was difficult. Her parents didn’t want her and albino kids weren’t exactly wanted by many. Feya chose to leave and find a place she could call home. She also needed to find a nearby store for her new nicotine addiction. Feya never stole them, she would just pocket the packs and leave change from a couple of odd errands on the counter. She technically did pay for them.
Feya found shelter at an abandoned house. She lived carefreely and had no worries. A few years did pass and Feya did find herself in a predicament. It did happen that some men did break into her home. Who would it be but the owners of the store she was robbing for the past year? They expressed their anger through various methods of bludgeoning and assault.
Feya couldn’t fight back. How could she? A few years of smoking had left her tired and weak. She expected this was the way she was going to die. Her face bruised and her ribs broken from consistent kicks. It was then that she was saved by a good samaritan.
An elderly, buffed man had rescued her from the hostiles. His strength was admirable considering he beat the men with one strike. He took the battered Feya and brought her to his squad. It wasn’t a pirate crew or band of raiders; to put it simply, it was just a group of friends. There were five of them including the elder man. They were all athletic and had glowing skin. Their mannerisms and responses to Feya were kind and cordial.
It was something Feya never experienced before. The elder man noticed in Feya’s pockets were filled with cigarette packs. He then introduced himself as “Physique Pascal.” He and his merry go of friends were extremists in physical fitness. Pascal and his group took great pride and joy in being daredevils. They always tried something new and potentially dangerous. Pascal and his friends badgered Feya’s cigarette secret. Pascal happened to be a doctor of kinesiology. He told Feya the risks and vowed to help her through her addiction. Nothing more, the elderly man wished to show her a new hobby: working out. It was then at that time Pascal chose to be Feya’s life coach.
For a year, Feya built great bonds with the fitness crew. They never asked out her skin pigmentation nor did ever point it out. She was treated equally. Her lungs have gotten better thanks to the daily workouts pushed onto her. The endurance trials were no picnic either. Feya sometimes had trouble keeping up. But her friends never gave up on her nor did Pascal, who was a lot meaner during workout regimens. The group of athletics and surprised Feya with a celebration. It was officially the one-year anniversary since they adopted her into their group. The team granted Feya a nickname with alliteration, “Fitness Feya.” Every member of the group had one: Physique Pascal, Joanne Jumper, Climber Caroline, Hank Health, and Yoga Yogi. It was greatly stupid and lame, but Feya couldn’t help herself. She was hit by so many emotions that she cherished the nickname.
Pascal and the group had another surprise. They informed Feya that they felt she was ready. Most of the trials they completed were for beginners. The next one on their list was more challenging and was not for the faint of heart. The next endurance trial was located in a tourist town, specifically at the docks near the water.
The endurance trial consisted of paying a guy for a boat ride for transport to a nearby island. Vicious animals and unpredictable weather were present on the island. The concerning factor was given the harsh waters around the island, no boats could travel to the island. There was a week in which the ocean was calm, but that would only occur every two years. Feya stressed about this endurance trial. She hesitated about going and staying on an island for two whole years. Her friends had to do motivate her further to get her moving. Pascal ensured her that there was a village located on the island for distress calls. And the endurance trial only welcomes adventures on the first day when the ocean settles. This gives people to six days to rethink their decision and inform the village to send a ship. If the wait over the six days, they can just spend their time waiting in the village for the next two years.
Six days have gone by for Feya and the gang. The island was unbelievably dangerous. Monsters of enormous size and admirable strength lurked in the island’s woods. Food took skill and flexibility to acquire. Edible plants were hard to come by as most were poisonous. The place was a nightmare yet Feya knew she could survive thanks to the comfort of her friends.
Feya was climbing on one of the mountains offered by the island with Climber Caroline. The walls of the mountain were steep and took them two hours to climb. They needed to see if any food was noticeable from the peak. The rest of the group was near the village setting up camp. At the peak, Feya and Caroline noticed a peculiar event.
They noticed a pirate crew parked on one side of the island. Feya and Caroline were confused seeing how the only ships allowed to be near the island were owned by the guy at the docks. The two girls looked at the landscape for anything more suspicious. It was then they noticed trees were being cut down in an area. Below the mountain was a group of men charging through the forest with murderous intent.
Caroline followed the path of destruction and saw the men would eventually reach the village. “Feya, we have a problem. It’s a good thing we came up here on time. If we climb down this mountain fast enough, we might be able to warn the village. The others are down there.” Feya’s heart rate was going up; she couldn’t believe what was happening. This entire situation was forcing her to sweat. “Feya, we need to go!” Caroline shouted.
“I’m not sure if you will be going anywhere.” A mysterious man appeared behind the two girls. He had scraggly hair with some stubble all over his face. Overall, the man’s image was mostly feral-like. His shirt was unbuttoned revealing scarred skin. A branding of a circle around the number 42 was burned on the man’s chest. Fleas flew around his body as he musked a horrible odor. Caroline took a defensive stance. She somehow knew deep down that he was associated with pirates. The person did not look like anyone from the village nor did he aboard the ship on the island. She demanded to know how the man found her. The mysterious individual cackled.
“I ate the dog dog fruit. I’m kind of gifted with the smell. Y’know, dogs have a good nose?” He clapped his hands together. “Alright, I know there is none on this island. Which one of you has the menthol?” There was silence between the two girls, only confusion was on their faces. “Oh, C'mon. You know what I am talking about!” Sighing, “Tobacco! Cancer sticks!! Cigarillos!!! I can smell it on you!” Caroline moved her eyes to her friend. Feya’s statue was frozen and her eyes were focused on the ground. She sucked her teeth in and admitted to Caroline that she had been sneaking cigarettes.
“You’ve been lying…” Caroline commented.
The mysterious man was most likely a zoan type because, in the next instant, he transformed into a dog-human hybrid. “Okay, so awkward moment. I understand that. Don’t worry. I’ll put an end to it.”
Feya panted heavily. Her body was full of scratches and bruises. She could feel her lungs about to burst. On her knees, she began to shake her head in denial. Laying her hands on Caroline’s wrist, she could sense no heat beat. It was obvious the bite marks had caused a significant amount of blood loss. Feya knew it was a false hope but she prayed that Caroline would get back up.
“Hmm, what a shitty way to go. I honestly wish it was me.” The mysterious man cackled. He shook the blood off of his fur. “Can I bum a cigarette off of you?” Feya clenched her teeth and chucked the pack of tobacco at him.
“Keep them. I’m done with them.” She sternly retorted. The cold breeze from the peak was beginning to affect her skin. The blood on her face was still warm. “Why haven’t you killed me yet?”
“Damn, what made you so cold, snowflake?” The man caught the package and placed it into his pocket. “Maybe I’m being charitable. And you know, I had a great idea.” The dog man peered down below the mountain peak. “It looks like you have about three hours to reach the village before my fellow crewmates destroy it.” He snickered, “If you make it on time. I’ll put a good word and tell the guys not to wreck it. Though if my friends and I get there, first…well, they’ll share the same blank expression like your friend.”
The man then jumped off the cliff and skidded down on the mountain side. Feya heard the man’s words. She blinked multiple times as her attention never faded from Caroline. “I am so sorry. I have to go warn the others. I have to try,” Feya cried. The woman stood up and began traveling down the mountain as fast as she could. Her skin and lungs already burning from the cold and exercise.
Feya had successfully climbed down the mountain and through the treacherous forest. Her body was riddled with bruises and cuts. She pushed all of her strength into her last sprint. The woman acknowledged the village was close by. All she needed to do was take a couple steps and rush past some trees. There was a slight moment of clarity as she touched one of the trees. Feya knew she completed her goal and managed to reach her goal. In that brief second, Feya was relieved. In...that...brief...second.
The next second passed and Feya saw the carnage. The village had been demolished and bodies decorated the forest floor. She limped while absorbing the terror and anguish the townspeople’s possibly felt. Feya neared the center of the village and one body caught her attention. The person was still moving and she cried when she found out the identity.
“Pascal, damn it.” Feya mourned the loss of her mentor. Pascal could barely speak. He informed the girl not to fret. The man was in horrible condition, possibly more than Caroline’s body. The elderly man coughed and looked prepared to accept his fate.
“Feya, don’t frown. Laugh. It’s a great workout for the core.” The man drew his last breath which left Feya alone and scared. Tears streamed down her face. She mourned in silence for her friends and the village residents. Her mourning was interrupted when she sniffed out a familiar scent. In the distance, she could see a man was merely observing the depressing moment. Feya squinted her eyes and saw a man with a scar across his nose. On his cheek, the number 42 was branded.
Feya growled when she could see the man smoking a cigarette. She knew it was hers and could only feel defeat at the moment. “I will kill you all.” She said with confidence. The man scoffed and puffed a few clouds of smoke from the cig.
“Good luck with that,” he breathed out a black cloud of smoke. “I’ll see you in two years.” He snarled as he threw the stick to the ground and stomped out the flame. He headed in the opposite direction, most likely to the crew’s boat.
Feya bowed her head. She scratched her forehead and couldn’t think of how to get out the situation. Today was the last day until the water surrounding the island would become too uncontrollable. The village area was destroyed and was the only guaranteed safe spot for people. The only boat coming to pick people up is in two years. Feya stopped the tears coming from her eyes and picked through Pascal’s pockets.
Inside, she found his notebook describing all of his workout regimens and his research on kinesiology. There was a lot of information written in the book. She skimmed through the pages and found the information to be essential for her survival. “Okay, I’ll survive. I can do this.” Feya tried to keep her confidence up. Looking through the pages, she found the first workout to begin. “Okay, 300 pushups. I can do this.”
And thus, Feya began her next two years trapped on the endurance trial. With no friends or easy sources of food, she suffered through much pain. She endured the loneliness and the soreness from Pascal’s workout recommendations. Studying while surviving had greatly changed her in the span of two years.
The man on the boat was petrified. He was not expecting a burned down village nor did he think the only surviving individual was the woman two years ago. He asked in a panic on whom would do such a thing. Feya scared the man as the years had changed her image. “42, that’s all I know. They...I am going to get every single of them.” Feya then laughed to break the tension which freaked the man even more.
Surviving the island at the age of 19 was an impressive feat. Feya proudly puts it on her belt. For the next two years, Feya visited more endurance trials. She hoped to increase her strength and become a beacon of rescue. The woman wanted to be reliable in strength and toward others.
One of her next trials did give her trouble. A crew of misfits was ganging up on her. It was another unruly pirate crew that only wanted destruction. She never relied on teammates and came to the endurance trial alone. Most of the trials she had completed were committed solo. Trying her best, she could not find the strength to overcome them. She was only one person going against an entire group.
Feya did meet a pirate crew who offered her some assistance. She declined instantly for good reasons. Her backstory doesn't include a stable relationship with pirates. The woman acknowledged fighting fire with fire would be extremely dangerous though she considered maybe manipulating them. The fitness woman decided not to accept their help and continued to do her own work.
Throughout the trial, she did witness a lot of weird behavior from the crew. The individuals that called themselves the Red Rum Pirates were less cruel and destructive. They appeared to be more clumsy-destructive than purposely destructive. Feya could see they could handle themselves during the trial as well. The woman scoffed and wasn't sure if it was the best option. Feya confronted them and accepted their help.
With their help, Feya and the Red Rum Pirates were able to defeat the naughty meddlers. They apparently were making trouble not only for Feya but other adventurers looking to complete the trial. In the end, she was given an invitation to join the crew. Feya laughed and worked out her core. The woman did not want to join a pirate crew nor did she want to join a group that advertised excessive drinking; however, the individuals seemed different. They did not look murderous toward civilians. Feya took some time and accepted the offer. Fitness Feya became a new member of the Red Rum Pirates.
After being with the team a bit, Feya learned a lot about her other crew mates. It was tough, but she wasn't sure she couldn't handle another abnormal person. The people on her team were some real weirdos. Feya and the rest of the crew were then alerted to the side of the ship.
An individual was having difficulty fighting a sea demon. It looked obvious that he needed assisstance. Feya sighed once the man was rescued and another weirdo was initated.
Combat Specialties
Skills and Abilities: Given Feya's impressive physique and her excessive exercises, she has been gifted with superhuman characteristics. Her strength is no laughing matter; a simple punch can send a 300lbs man through a brick wall. She does specialize in building muscle which explains her monstrous strength. Her muscular physique does give her durability; Feya is able to sustain a lot of damage before losing numbness in her body. Feya is a woman and does not have much weight on her. She never skips leg day which does benefit in her speed capability. Without her leg muscles, she probably wouldn't be much of a threat nor would she be able to land a strike on an opponent.
Underwater Breathing: After years of smoking, Feya did want to improve her lungs. Through various cardiovascular exercises, she pushed herself to amazing heights. Breathing has been a lot easier for her. Her lungs are able to help her stay underwater for 6 minutes with a single breath. That feat is three times the regular person.
Vortex Punch: Her deltoids and biceps are not just for looks. They do grant Feya incredible strikes and sometimes critical hits. One of favorite moves might have to be the Vortex Punch. The fitness woman winds up her arm in a circular motion and begins to pick up wind. The punch delivers an effective impact; the wind coming off from the punch may even blow the enemy away.
Tight Titan: The woman doesn’t have any weapons at the moment. Her punches don’t do much against someone with a sword or a knife. Cuts were going to happen as experiences have informed her. Fitness Feya does have a countermeasure against them. If a sword or knife does become lodged into her body, she tightens her muscles around the sharp object. This ensures she doesn’t lose anymore blood and the offender can’t pull back his sword. Tightening her muscles also lets her take heavy attacks without any serious injuries.
Devil Fruit: N/A Haki: Conqueror's Haki—Locked Gear: Feya keeps a bottle of vitamin supplements to ensure her body is kept up to standards. She does have a water bottle that she mixes with a few servings of protein powder. The powder is her concoction and gives her results lightning fast. Feya receives a slight boost in attributes. Fighting Style: Feya learned how to fend for self. She is still hoping to learn more fighting styles, but she only has one on her belt. Maybe traveling the seas and new trials will open new techniques for her. So far, Feya is specialized in kickboxing. Techniques: N/A
Nakama
Crewmate Name:
Caesar Inu:
Feya never quite had a connection with animals. She never had a pet or close relations to an animal. If she did have an interaction, it was mainly with wild-life creatures during some nature hikes or dangerous trials. Most of the animals she has seen were not tamed.
Feya doesn't technically know what a mink is, but she could only guess the characteristics of the animal are applied. She was hoping for an energetic pup but was disappointed to find Caesar to be lazy. Nothing more than Feya dislikes is people leading toward a sedimentary lifestyle. Also, the dude farts frequently.
Dirk Messir:
Dirk honestly creeps Feya out. She wasn't sure what to expect from him. The first interaction they had did not entirely go well. The pale male made an offensive remark about Feya's skin. This only sparked a number of back-lash remarks and nearly ended in a fight. Feya still found the individual to be odd.
She did spend some time diagnosing him discreetly. The woman was more specialized in physical health, but even her expertise could tell he was suffering from something. All the symptoms pointed to schizophrenia. Feya understood Dirk's abnormal behaviors and actions. After finding out, she decided to roll along with whatever weird thing he does. Though she is not too afraid to scowl him when things go over the line. She does recognize that he must have terrible history given his mentality. Feya does find common ground with them both having pale skin conditions.
Bonesword:
Feya can’t find the right words to describe her friendship with the skeleton kid. Her interactions or expressions are mostly confusion. Bonesword is a complexing concept to understand. His entire existence conflicts with Feya’s study. The guy has no muscles!
Her obsession with fitness is lost for a person who doesn’t have any muscle mass. She can’t help but stare a few times. Feya can’t help but think the kid is crying internally from muscle envy. This had pretty much struck a resolve on her.
Given the kid has no muscles, she bickers and nags at him the most. This usually consists if he completed his workout regimes. She also prescribed him to drink a gallon of milk a day. Flint was mostly bones and he was the most likely of the crew to receive osteoporosis from loss of tissue or even a deficiency of vitamin D.
Though they are still on the same level, Feya can’t help but feel weird when Bonesword drinks alcohol. It doesn’t sit right with her. Out of everyone, she feels he should be the last person to have alcohol.
One strange encounter that Feya had with Bonesword was that she accidentally walked in on him having a tea party with his sword. Silence had filled the room and Feya erupted into nervous laughter. She wasn’t sure how to respond and thought a comedic response was appropriate. It was really awkward after it took her a whole two minutes to stop and close the door. (A good exercise for her diaphragm though.)
Slick Drake:
Feya tends to keep a close relationship with Slick given his position the crew ship. She is determined to keep up with her diet. The woman usually always mentions the food pyramid even though Slick has heard it many times. He practically has learned about the necessary servings despite never wanting to have that knowledge in the first place.
Thanks to Feya, he now knows that people should have 4 servings of fruit each day, 3 servings of vegetables, 6 servings of grains, and other mumbo jumbos. The woman does tend to eat an excessive amount in the chef’s perspective, but she is just trying to reach her daily goal of 1,600 calories.
Feya acknowledges the mental disorder that Slick does suffer from. She does find some of her protein powder occasionally missing. The woman doesn’t confront Slick directly about it. As a doctor, she knows the chef can’t help his urges. Feya simply goes to his room, knocks down the door off of his hinges, looks around, and grabs her supplements without a word. There might be a slight sense of spite during her actions, but she does try to keep that hidden.
Overall, she does her best to communicate with Slick. She doesn’t push the man with workouts or fitness. Her rambling about food servings and caloric advantages are enough. His demeanor is relaxing.
Mizushima Isuza:
Feya cannot help but appreciate Isuza’s company now and then. Her demeanor and mannerisms differentiate from the rest of the crew. She is less noisy than the other crewmates; however, Feya does realize this is due to her lack of social skills. It doesn’t bother Feya in the slightest. The fitness physician does try to demonstrate that she is someone Isuza can comfortably talk to.
Feya does want Isuza to have more confidence; with little effort, she may put Isuza on the spot during some situations. This is usually so the other crew mate’s can hear her ideas and/or opinions. It can be difficult talking over people and Feya knows this exactly well.
Feya respects Isuza’s compassion for others. Her general honesty is a characteristic that Feya appreciates in an equal. More importantly, the resolve and dedication in Isuza command a great deal of respect from Feya. The woman can only see herself in the fisher girl. The willingness to complete a goal deserves a salute.
There is a hint of jealousy from Fitness Feya. She is fixated on training her body through ridiculous methods and has gone through enormous punishment to reach her current state. Isuza is gifted in strength as Feya due to her fisherman heritage. It does put pressure on Feya as she compares herself to Isuza. It’s odd too comparing the height sizes on Feya and Isuza.
She noticed Isuza loves swimming competitions. Feya usually instigates these matches from time to time. It would be a huge milestone if she could outswim a fisherman. No matter her strength, Isuza is a talented swimmer. Feya is always a few seconds behind. Feya hides her true motives and relies on the charade that it’s simply a game. But she does truly want to win. The score is currently 0-24. Despite the score, Feya does want to beat her once, just once.
The woman has been planning to curse herself with a Devil Fruit in the future as a testament to becoming stronger. Feya recognizes that she will be strong enough to partake in a Devil Fruit when she is able to swim faster than Isuza.
Cedric Daniel Boone:
Feya’s first few weeks as a crew member on the Red Rum Pirates was uncomfortable. Everything conflicted with her choices of fitness and resolve. Alcohol in excessive amounts was hazardous to the body system. She wondered how she could be part of the crew.
Though after many interactions, she learned how to cope with it. Many of the crew members did have their quirks but they all meant well. Feya appreciated the help back then and knew she was on a ship filled with morally sound individuals. They did have a few unhealthy habits, but as a fitness physician, she could help break those limits.
Feya is concerned about the captain’s drinking. She imagined that she would never be in a condition to follow a man who excessively drinks, but it was the man’s kindness for others that made her stay. Cedric’s concern for his subordinates’ dreams is an exceptional quality that Feya holds in high regards.
The drinking is an issue that Feya does address a lot. Usually, she will knock the captain, on the noggin if he is drunk or nearing intoxication. His age mixed with drinking is not recommended. And she does try to encourage fitness on the ship to fix his beer belly issue.
Cedric’s age and compassion for others do remind Feya of someone from her past. She believes this is also another reason she decided to stay with the Red Rum Pirates. It could be a sign of things and why she constantly tries to watch over Cedric’s health.
Feya reminds herself that Cedric is the captain. Her conceitedness has given her a superiority complex. She has a difficult time to follow commands at times, but after a bit of meditating, she does come back to her senses. It is challenging to hold someone above her after much time of fending for herself and acting independently. Pirate crew wasn’t what she predicted in her life.
Though she does try to ensure Cedric that she cares of the crew’s physical health and his included, in an uninformed manner.
Lilliana Merrycure:
Feya finds Lilliana’s entire persona cute. There is a lot of spunk in most of her actions. Her motherly nature towards other crew members is comforting to witness. Feya can see her heartening nature as she does take elation in supporting others. The concern for others was a characteristic similar to Feya.
More importantly, Lilliana is established to medically help those in need. Though different in branches of study, Lilliana and Feya are both doctors. This motivated the fitness physician to converse with the scientist during more occasions. Lilliana might be the only person who understood Feya’s vocabulary about myology and kinesiology. The machine fetish was weird, but it was basically Feya’s passion for fitness.
Though Lilliana is motherly to the crew, Feya’s feelings are different. From her shortness and smaller physique, Feya began to think of Lilliana more of a sister, a little sister to be exact. The woman does badger everyone about physical fitness, workout, and dieting, but she does it less to Lilliana. This is practically her method of “pampering” Lilliana. Feya sometimes refers to Lilliana as “Lily” only because it would slip out in conversation. On occasion, she may tell Lily to skip a workout or start her cheat day.
There is a particular characteristic about Lilliana that perplexes Feya. Her “B-Mo” brings some concerns regarding her internal organs and skeletal structure. It is a medical phenomenon that stumps Feya with many questions. By appearance, the biological metallic organism has not done any harm to her body. Feya sometimes forgets that Lily has metal inside her.
One awkward moment occurred when Feya was performing monthly physical check-ups. She had Lilliana step onto a scale and saw the dial spin toward a number out of her body weight area. “You’re overweight,” Feya bluntly said. It was very awkward afterward.
Name: Wafer D. Kite Epithet: TBA Race: Human Age: 19 Gender: Male Appearance: Kite stand at roughly 5’10” with a relatively muscular build. He is a handsome young man sporting a head of short, dirty blonde hair (although whether that is natural or a result of his work) and simple brown eyes with flecks of yellow scattered throughout the irises. He can often be seen wearing the same clothes, as he doesn’t typically shower if he has thrown himself into his work (a common occurrence). He doesn’t wear very flashy clothes, but the same can’t be said for his designs or his personality. Finally, there is his blue and gray bandana he typically keeps tucked into his back pocket, though he wears it whenever he gets to work or gets serious. Overall, Kite is a picture of health (though he is by no means healthy). Position: Shipwright Bounty: 3,000,000 Beli (Various acts of Piracy) Jolly Roger: Kite’s jolly roger is a skull with two screws between the teeth on the right corner of the mouth almost like cigars. There is also a gray and blue bandana wrapped around the head of the skull. Rather than bones forming the cross typically positioned behind the skull, the place is taken by two oversized wrenches.
Background
Ambition: Kite wants nothing more than to see the world. He wants to meet new people, see new animals, eat new foods, and drink new drinks that he could never hope to discover on the shores of his home. He's a born adventurer. One such goal in particular is to eat and possibly help create the spiciest of all foods possible (though it is possible he may already be quite there with his chili). However, there is more to the young man than just that. As a shipwright, talents and hope fostered throughout the years of his life meeting pirates and other individuals, he wishes to design, build and maintain a ship to take him and anybody he might join across the vast seas of the world. Quirks:
In a world full of oddities Kite is most certainly no exception to the rule. The following are his primary "afflictions:"
Material Infatuation - For whatever reason, Kite tends to freak out when he sees new or interesting items. Ships, weapons, toys even. If it catches his eye it is unlikely you’ll regain his attention without doing something drastic. Informational Insta-Sleep - Although something of a talented genius in his own right, Kite has to study and work hard for all of his skills. However, one might find that in trying to explain things (whether historical, scientific or anything else) to him he may instantly fall asleep with no regard to time or place. Mythological Infatuation - Kite has a somewhat unnerving love of all creatures he has never seen or heard of, particularly creatures of myth. It is enough to distract him, make him do stupid things or just act like a curious fool. At the top of the list are dragons.
Additionally, he has a habit of sleep poking, which is a habit in which he will leave his bed or wherever he is sleeping in order to find and poke somebody or something. He is afraid of dehydrated fruits and vegetables. He believes they are unnatural and they are the only food he is okay with wasting. Though if he doesn't know they are there he won't care. His signature laugh is "Greeahahahahahaha."
Personality: Kite is a driven individual. Adventure, freedom, and the feeling of the winds above the sea as he sails aboard a vessel of his own design. More than anything, this is what Kite wants to achieve one day and he is anything, but quiet about that dream. Additionally, he is anything but lazy. He boasts confidence in his designs whether they be ships, weaponry or any other manner of vehicle or technology.
Kite is also quite proud of his skills as a shipwright, mechanic, and carpenter. The young man will never waiver in faith when it comes to the things he creates or those he has decided to put his trust into. He is strong willed, if not a little too headstrong. Kite doesn’t let up when he puts his mind to something unless given a very good reason. History:
Wafer D. Kite was born to a single mother who owned a bar on a small island barely even noticeable on any map. The island, known for the crops it cultivated as well as alcohol said to be the finest in all of South Blue, was a cornucopia of pirates who needed rest. Its people could have been considered criminals, but most officials wouldn't bother stopping by and if not for pirates among other criminals and sea goers the people would likely be at a loss. It was their largest means of trade and currency acquisition after all. The people of this small island were rather content.
Kite's mother, Marisol Kline, owned the most popular bar on the island. In an island said to brew the best liquor in all of the South Blue, she claimed to make and serve the best brew on the island. This was a claim widely backed up by a multitude of patrons. One such patron, a pirate by the name of Wafer D. Solas, would often visit her establishment in the hopes of procuring a number of barrels of her particular brand of booze and in order to see her. At least that was what he said. He always made time to speak with her, to get her anything she might need before he was off again. Many people who knew the boy's father mention that it was only a matter of time before their infatuation grew into love and that love grew into Kite.
He was born under a full moon, the sky filled with stars, clouds seemingly nonexistent. He doesn't know much about the circumstances of his birth beyond that, and the fact that his father had indeed been there. Not long after though, Solas departed, setting sail as he always did. Mari awaited his return, but this time he didn't. No news of his death or capture had been reported. And yet, weeks, months, years passed. Kite's mother was dejected, worried, fearful for what had become of her love. These feelings were directed at Kite. She was protective of him, sheltered him, and pushed him to learn things that she felt would lead to various opportunities in life. She feared he would go down the same path as her lost love and did her best to keep that from happening.
When Kite was 7, his mother married a man who'd begun to frequent the bar. Kite came to learn that he was a bounty hunter, albeit retired. The man respected her feelings for Kite's father. He was kind. He cared for both of them and helped anyway he could. This was especially helpful for the young man as he’d been helping his mother cook and clean around the bar. With some time freed up, he was able to begin focusing on some of the things he wanted to. Kite had watched ship after ship arrive on the island. He watched countless weapons and many manner of item be used by pirates and bounty hunters alike.
The young boy couldn’t help but take an interest. That was when he began teaching himself all about the things he found so wondrous. He watched various shipwrights work on ships at the port, he asked them questions, he learned from them. Kite was a sponge and he was soaking up everything he could. The truth was that he couldn’t get enough. And so, one day when he was 10 he found himself working alongside a regular at his mother’s bar. The man was trusted and skilled, and always told Kite how much he reminded him of his own son.
The man remarked on Kite’s skill given his young age. That was the beginning of Kite’s journey as a shipwright. Over the next few years, Kite worked all the time with shipwrights, engineers and inventors alike. Some things just came so easily to the young man, and yet he couldn’t help but work day and night. Any chance he got to practice his skills he took. Any chance he got to talk with one of the visiting shipwrights, he took.
It wasn’t until he was 14 that he took up art. He used was told it would help him train his fingers, and keep up his skills when he couldn’t work with actual tools and machinery as he liked. At 15 he took up learning to cook from his mother. He couldn’t help but enjoy any activity he got in which he could work with his hands. He found his knack to be working with spicy foods. Various sailors even took to using his food, particularly his chili, as a way to challenge each other. His mother even used it as a special monthly event.
Kite wouldn’t leave home until he was 17. His mother wasn’t happy, but somehow Lennox managed to convince her to let go of the young man so that he could follow his own dreams. With a bit of help, Kite built a small ship to sail and gathered up a number of supplies to last him hopefully until he was able to reach another island and restock. He remembers the day before he left better than anything. His mother, in tears, gave him a blue bandana that had belonged to his late father. It was worn and beat up, but she'd taken care of it, and even patched it up using a piece of gray cloth Lennox had provided from an old torn up uniform from his bounty hunter days. It was simple in design, but it quickly became Kite's most treasured item.
Over the next year and a half Kite gathered a small crew of individuals of like minds. There were 6 of them in total, which led to a small upgrade in their vessel, much to Kite's dismay as he was no long sailing on a creation of his own. However, he quickly grew to love his crew's ship and them as a whole. They gained a notoriety, although they weren't the evil pirates the World government painted them as. They faced a number of small time enemies themselves until they came face to face with John Krabbe. Perhaps they had gotten a bit cocky with a string of small victories, but Kite's friends were decimated. They were all young, himself included. One friend, a devil fruit user was left to sink into the sea. Another was suffocated by Krabbe after being caught in the grasp of his claw. The other three succumbed to their wounds after a battle with the Shrimp Brigade. With "Dead or Alive" statuses all around the state of the crew didn't matter much, especially when they didn't let up when given the chance to submit.
Kite was sufficiently broken at the loss of his friends. He wished to continue to fight until the end, but was quickly subdued by the Brigade and Krabbe. Roughly three weeks have passed since the fight. Krabbe has yet to collect his payment leaving Kite kept just nourished enough not to be dead in the brig of his ship.
Combat Specialties
Skills and Abilities: Kite boasts the following:
Shipbuilding/Engineering/Tinkering - Kite is a skilled shipwright among other things. However, while he boasts incredible skill, asking him to explain the minute details of his work would be unwise as it’s very unlikely he’d be able to do so in a manner that is understandable.
Wrenchmanship - Kite is a skilled combatant when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, but his preferred method of combat is to use the two huge wrenches he carries around. Wrenches to Kite are like Swords to a swordman.
Spice Cooking - Kite is fairly brilliant in the kitchen, at least in regards to spicy foods. According to many who’ve eaten some of his spiciest dishes, just one bite could bring them to tears. A fishmen once took a bite from a bowl of chili made by Kite and claimed to have been almost completely dehydrated.
Artistry - Despite his rough behavior and aggressive demeanor, Kite is quite skilled when it comes to art. He practices thinking it’s important and helpful to maintaining his skills, especially in regards to the more minute details.
Strength - Kite is quite strong due to hours, days, months of working on ships. Heavy lifting, hard work and a number of other factors have led to strength almost unnatural for a normal human being.
Strength of Will - Whether in the thick of combat or in the mundanity of life, Kite sports a never say die attitude. Even if he would be tortured he wouldn't give up his comrades. And backing down from a challenge is a rarity.
Devil Fruit: N/A Haki: N/A Gear: Kite carries around two greatly oversized wrenches, often carried on his back. He also has a multitude of screws, bolts and nuts around his waist.along with a few other tools he keeps just in case he needs them and in order to fight if necessary. Fighting Style: Kite is a close range fighter through and through. He focuses almost exclusively on aggressive offense. He rarely holds back, but that can leave him open to attack if he lets up. He still manages to power on through. Techniques:
Hook Slam - Kite hooks the jaws of the wrench around his opponent (neck, waist, arm or legs depending on the person) and then uses it to jerk them around him and slam them into the nearest wall or the ground. Also works in the air.
Hammer Throw - Kite spins and uses his momentum to throw the wrench at his opponent. Typically, he aims the ring end of his wrench to deliver a powerful blunt force blow to his enemy, but on occasion he may also utilize the jaws to further pin the enemy down if aimed correctly.
Bullet Haze - Kite tosses up a number of screws, nuts or bolts into the air. He then proceeds to use one of his wrenches like a bat to strike and launch them at his opponent. Due to his strength, they typically fly at the enemy with the speed of bullets.
