Point C

Ezra            Acion

VS.

Reina           Jett

Acion slightly bowed at the blond man’s gratitude for picking up Reina, as Jett then engaged in a mock fight with Toni, who were pretty much trying her best to entertain those who were demoralized by the events. Acion appreciated that, but he simply lost the thrust that he need in order to fight. Those around him now lost the competitiveness and motivation to fight just like he did. They were all worried about the sake of Sen, the guy who got carried away.

‘For God’s sake!’

Acion had been expecting for such thrills of excitement and yet fate rewarded him with such bullcrap. But now, what can he do? The shield girl was still unconscious, and the others just lost their passion for battle. He lost it as well. He could only look at the two fighting to kill his own boredom.

But it was then that he did finally notice the gravitational pull from the girl next to him. For some reasons, he felt his feathers, and himself, being unnaturally attracted and pulled towards her. It might be her quirk. He had also felt that during the short flight earlier while he was carrying her, but he did not have the opportunity to ask.

After quite the warm up run, Roy arrived at point C only to find the fight basically over. A teammate unconscious, one relaxing on the sidelines with the enemy, and another fighting the enemy. Roy maneuvering the rugged terrain towards Acion and the girl beside him. As he got closer he felt a slight tug on his body, “Acion..?” He said as he walked up behind the top motioning his hands as to what happened here.

And Acion was stripped of his opportunity to ask Reina about that strange gravity pull, as Roy then appeared behind him.

“Well...fortune may or may not be on your side. One of the Alpha teams got heavily injured during the whole encounter. One got taken out, one also injured, and looks like she doesn’t want to continue.” Acion glanced at Reina for confirmation. “Those two are just having a mock fight.”

He sighed slightly.

“For me, it’s not on my side, for there are unnecessary casualties happened.”

Energy level:50%

Roy folded his arms , “Why the long face, mock battle or real deal. Heros shouldn't be discouraged, despite what happens we must get the job done.” Roy unfolded his arms and made a fist, “Our remaining comrades are fighting hard for victory.” He said motioning towards Toni and Jett, “Others Sacrificed themselves, this is something we will have to cope with, giving up will just make their efforts meaningless, besides we still have teammates going hard at A and B.” Roy said putting his arm on the boys back, the golden boy Radiated with heat as his markings glowed. “Just don't give up.”

Acion turned to Reina.

“Then do you want to continue? It’s not that I give up, I just don’t want to combat those who doesn’t have the will and passion to put up a fight, since I don’t want to enjoy victory if my enemies do not thirst for one.”

The girl’s brow furrowed upon being addressed, having had her attention split between the fight near them and the two boys from Delta. The look she gave Acion was mildly puzzled.

”Of course...?” was all she could say, not entirely understanding the boy’s point of view on the situation. Sure, Sen had been hurt, but he was likely to be okay after some rest—and he had sustained his injuries fighting for her team, Alpha. Shouldn’t they assume that she, like Jett, would only be more motivated to win for Sen?

...did she really look so weak that others assumed such a thing would deflate her instead?

Of course you do. Her frown deepened.

“I’m only bruised. I’ll continue.” she said, bringing her guard back up as she took a step back away from the two Delta members.

She began to focus again on her quirk, setting it so it lightly repelled everything away from her. While Reina didn’t believe the two boys would immediately try to take her out, she felt exercising caution was a good idea, being as talentless as she was. If they did decide to take her by surprise, Jett would be left suddenly alone against three members of the other team. She couldn’t put him in that sort of position.

Acion watched the girl next to him taking a guarded stance, an impressed smile formed on his face. Seemed like he was wrong.

“Though you are injured, you are pretty determined.”

He remarked with all means honesty. Acion hadn’t heard this for a while among training heroes. As a matter of fact, they were a distant second to his expectation. They always said they were determined to become a professional, and yet many had failed. Many gave up, bent by the lack of true determination, fear of difficulties or selfish desire for their own well-beings.

“Those are the words spoken by one with honest desire. Let’s see how far our determination goes.”

His two arms straightened diagonally with his torso, his six wings again spreaded in all directions. Just like at the beginning of the fight, a challenge accepted

“Time to battle!”

Appearing next to Riena and Acion, he fell to his knees, sweating profusely as his muscles shook at just holding himself up in a kneeling position. After a few moments he managed a weary smile after a long controlled breath and looked up at Acion and said with a chuckle , “Ready to defend C against us Birdy?” Jett hoped he had teleported her far enough away that she couldn't get back in time... they had been at this for a while now. He realized he didn't know how many jumps he had left...hopefully a couple. But he could very well have one…

Acion’s comment about her ‘honest desire’ gave Reina pause. She didn’t dwell on it too long, though, taken by mild surprise when Roy simply left the two, not interested in point C apparently.

A fight, hm?... She had experienced one single battle in her life, if it could even be called that. She also hadn’t been able to duplicate what she had done that day that allowed her to escape relatively unharmed. This would end embarrassingly for her... at least Acion didn’t seem like the type to put her in the hospital as he won.

She glanced up to the boy and gave a slight nod, just about to turn up her quirk to force him away when Jett suddenly appeared, looking terribly exhausted. Reina looked from him then to the way he came quickly, wondering where the girl he’d been fighting had gone—she wasn’t near them for the moment. Before she could ask him, Jett was already challenging Acion.

Acion noticed Jett’s reappearance at C, and, not surprisingly, without Toni. Either she had been defeated by him or being left by the guy, he didn’t know. In either cases, this was getting more exciting and exciting. A one against two, huh?

”Birdy huh?”

He thought Acion was some kind of animal?

”Fortune has brought all of us together. None of the unpassionate can interfere with us now.”

He extended his wings to the both of them, staring at them intensely.

”I challenge you!”

It was at this stage that Ezra had began running from point B. He had motioned to Roy to secure the point, and held trust that he would be able to secure it for the remainder of the exam. He was using the rest of his energy at this stage to head over to Point C and secure it for the victory. He didn’t exactly like the idea of going back to a place he had already come from, but he figured that he had already got his hands dirty in the name of victory, so he had no qualms in finishing the job and making sure his team won, regardless of the consequences to himself and opinions of others toward him.

He was using every fibre of his quirk to be able to speed there. He was stretching his body to the maximum it could take, accelerating every single muscle in his legs as he strode down to point C at near record breaking speeds. It wouldn’t be long before he arrived there and uncovered the scenario that was going to unfold, which would likely determine the outcome of the entire match, as he had no idea what had gone on at point A.

Jett chuckled as he listened to Birdy. “I’m pretty sure we challenged you first.” He said with a wink. He was hoping with his strength almost gone, he can give some help to Riena as her gravity would probably be best suited to keep the bird on the ground.

He stood up slowly, his feet shifting in the dirt as he took his normal savette stance. Thinking maybe he can get one good jump in before he was completely out.

Jett shifted his stance to move towards Acion when suddenly he saw a blur and felt his chest explode in pain as he was launched backwards.  He rolled like a ragdoll in the dirt till he landed face first, sliding still back, till he came to a stop. Groaning, he let out a breath of air. Dust puffing out from his face as he whined to himself. “ Oh THAT HURT .” wheezing as he slowly got to his hands and knees, looking up to see what train hit him.

Ezra stood above Jett, looking down upon his freshly hit target. He was sweating evidently from his forehead, and breaking his pace into a jumping kick wasn’t exactly an easy task to complete, but he figured that a sudden attack would prevent 2v1 occurring against his classmate, and allow him to secure the point earlier. He had learnt a lot about sneak attacks where he was from, so he didn’t exactly see the shame in it. Honor held nothing to him, but he couldn’t stand to watch an unfair fight take place when he could do something to stop it, especially if it was to ensure their victory.

“I don’t like people who try gang up on somebody. How about ya trust ya friend, and come take me instead. I’m sure we can have a lot more fun.” he spoke, raising his fists against the man that he had just struck. He didn’t look weak, and something in his eye told him he was going to be a fun target for Ezra. He hadn’t had many fun fights, but if this could be one of them, then he might start seeing more motivation than simply claiming victory for the sake of it.

Reina had jumped to the side from the sudden gust, glancing between Jett and the tall boy that had spoken to her before the training had started. Some kind of strength enhancing quirk he had, evident by his fast and sudden entrance and the power with which he had run over her Alpha team member.

She looked over at Jett again, feeling terrible for him—he had already been clearly tired before getting sucker punched. He’d done far more than she had, and she wasn’t sure how long he’d be able to keep it up. Maybe... if he got time to rest, he could continue.

As if you can even buy enough time. The small, bitter smile that so often accompanied her self-deprecating thoughts showed itself on her lips, but even as it did the girl was moving to quickly put herself between the struggling Jett and the two Delta team students.

“Take you time,” she said to her teammate.

The instant she was in position, she repelled strongly with her quirk to force Acion and the tall boy away, as well as Jett, sliding him along the dirt directly in the opposite direction that the other two were being pushed.

Through all her uncertain thoughts, the girl looked towards the two, unaware herself that her gaze was closer to a glare. Give Jett time to catch his breath. That was her simple goal. Despite how much she felt it wasn’t something she could achieve against these two boys, just having the goal pushed her to action without any of the hesitation one would expect of her.

She let her quirk’s effect weaken, the strain of it having begun to show on her face... as well as in the strange loss of colour that was affecting both her body and clothing. It wasn’t incredibly apparent yet, but the girl was slowly beginning to appear greyscale.

Acion was about to halt to Jett’s advances when he was suddenly knocked back in place. Taking a few seconds to realize what was happening, Ezra, one of his teammates, has arrived.

”A more fairer fight now, don’t you think yes?”

But just as he said that, he was then pushed violently away by an unknown but strong force. The force was powerful enough to push Acion away several meters on the ground, stopping only by the air resistance of his own six wings and the friction of his feet in touch with the ground.

”I’m telling you, if you are so determined to win this, then in the name of God, I will not hesitate on you. Let us begin!”

It was at this moment that his six wings begin to flap, propelling himself upwards, stopping at the usual fifty meters above the ground.

What the hell was that?! The guy who stood in front of him wasn’t a man… it was a freaking Giant! He started to talk he realize the guy was right He usually didn’t like gang ups himself...but with his weakened power it was going to be more like 1v 1.3. But he was also right about trusting his friend. He looked to Reina as he mentioned her, to see her moving over towards them.

He had also mentioned it might be fun. Indeed, Jett did like a challenge, and taking on colossus here at his current strength would be definitely a challenge. The guy held himself, brimming with confidence.  He shakingly got up to one knee trying to get a breather in while he had the chance when Reina had arrived, before he had a chance to give a witty comeback and told him to take his time. What? He couldn’t let her take on both, He quickly stood back up, dizzy as hell to say he was fine. Next thing he knew, he was on his back again sliding farther away after being hit by her gravity once again. Sliding once again he let out a whimper as the dust was once again in the air. He laid there for a moment, as if knocked out and took a few breaths...coughing once at the dust before rolling over onto his side and groaning like an old man getting out of bed. Bed…. that sounded nice actually… He shook his head and looked over to Reina once again. The distance she created with her push would give him some time to breath. Obviously worried at his outward signs of fatigue. That girl faced off two big guys to give him some time to breath. “Girl has guts…”

He then called out to her. “Reina!”  He paused for a moment, watching birdy fly into the air. Before looking back at her, “Thanks for the help, I'll take smalls over there.” If she looked back she would see him pointing at her with a confident smile. “ You show birdy your badassness! You got this!”
He didn’t know if she was still tired from deflecting that crane, but it seemed she still had some juice left in her. He got up, hiding his fatigue with a genuine smile so she didn’t worry and punched his right hand into his left palm psyching himself up as he tried to focus on the task at hand. His quirk was pretty much done, if he used it once more he was sure it would only be bad if he didn’t one punch knockout this guy...which he looked like he could take a few beatings and still dish out. But he looked tired as well, perhaps he was at his limit as well? Hopefully so, be that the case, he might stand a chance. He took a few calming breaths before he motioned the big guy over to him, as he slowly made his way back towards the group and yelled out. “Alright, you wanna fight? Let’s go, let me pay you back for that sucker punch.”

“What the fuck!?” was all Ezra was able to exclaim before he was thrown back from the force that Reina had emitted. He didn’t exactly expect that much force to come out of the girl, and frankly, he had no idea that a quirk like that could exist. He had to get up quickly, in case the boy wished to try something. He had no idea what he was capable of, but he definitely wasn’t unfit or weak for that matter.

He noticed as he stood up the amount of fatigue that the boy he was facing was experienced. Not that he wasn’t tired himself, he could probably manage 2 or 3 more uses out of his quirk before he completely ran out of juice. He had no idea what the quirk was of the man in front of him, who seemed to refer to him as Smalls. He assumed sarcasm, or irony of some sort because there was no way this short little shit was calling him small.

The fight that he had been anticipating was about to begin, and he was ready for it. Preparing himself in a rather atypical stance, he slowly began to approach Jett. He had a smaller frame, so he was sure that he’d make up for the difference that they’d have in strength for speed.
“C’mon then. Let’s see you try somethin". He spoke with confidence in his voice.

Reina looked over her shoulder when Jett called. She hesitated a moment, but nodded. Either he recovered fast or he was doing what he could to hide his state. He would have never let her take on both of them to begin with as long as he could still move, anyway—that much was clear in the short time she’d known him. So be it.

The girl gazed up to Acion who’d brought himself to the sky. Her eyes narrowed as she thought over the situation quickly. He was far enough away that he’d likely hardly feel the pull of her quirk even if she strained—a weakness of her quirk she’d of course theorized during the countless hours of thought experiments she’d carried out in her life. The closer she was to another, the more control she had over them and the easier it was to keep them there, but if they could keep their distance, it was easy for them to resist the effects.

One of the spheres that orbited her pass directly in front of her eyes, pulling the girl out of her thoughts. She tracked it as it rotated down and around her, out of sight again, biting her lip in frustration. Useless. She was unable to even use her own quirk properly. Why was she even trying to fight?...

Right. For her team. For those that deserved to be in Class 1-A.

Her gaze dropped from Acion to the ground a dozen feet ahead of her, settling on a baseball sized rock.

The distance between the winged boy and herself meant they’d be able to react to most any of each other's strikes—like his feathers. She could keep those from hitting her. And while her quirk couldn’t directly affect the winged boy in his current position... well, time to find out how controlled backyard experiments translated to the real world.

Reina sprinted forward, scooping up the rock in her right hand, gaze shooting back up to the boy in the sky. She killed her quirk completely as she reared her arm back and took a large step forward in one motion. Planting her foot on the ground hard, she threw the rock and immediately repelled her surroundings as strongly as she could for the briefest moment, launching it skyward and letting out a short, sharp cry from the exertion.

She stumbled forward from her follow-through, watching the rock as it went. Not quite on target—it looked like it would hit one of Acion’s wings rather than his chest. Though, the throw was far better than she ever expected her first real attempt at using her quirk in such a way to be.

The six-winged angelic-looking boy caught the sight of a rock zooming in on him, along with a light sense of gravitational force pushed against him. He was caught slightly off-guard, as he had little time to react to such speed. The rock’s trajectory appeared to be heading straight for his chest, or at the best case, his steel wings. In any cases, it was preordained that it would hit him somewhere.

By completely instinct, trained years ago, he dodged to his right, the rock grazed nearly missed his torso, and slammed onto his middle left wing, sending the winged man slightly off balance, as his middle wings were for balancing after all. It was surely a powerful blow, as showed by the pain he felt on his wing muscle.

”That force earlier.”

The thing that he just faced, the thing that pushed him away earlier, and the sense of pull towards that girl. It appeared somewhat clear what she was capable of. She was either able to use telekinesis, or anything of that lineage. Either cases, it would be rough trying to attack her head on. If the force was this powerful, she would be able to repel his attack completely, or maybe even knock him out on spot. He should not be so nonchalant to launch basic attacks on her and hopefully it will manage to take her out.

Also, he shouldn’t be focusing too much on her that he forgot about Ezra, who were now paired up against that blonde haired guy. This isn’t a one versus one stage area anyway. It’s a team battle. You can’t win by simply being stronger, faster or smarter than your adversary. You win by being stronger, faster and smarter together with your team against your opponents. That’s how it goes. And judging by the looks of it, they were already set for individual duels, so if one of us, maybe even two cooperated for coordinated attacks, they would have an even higher chances of winning.

But now, how was he going to approach Reina anyway?

If he got too close and too carelessly, he would be flung away or grounded before he even realize it. But if he just kept his distance, she would be able to use that same sort of attack against him. That could either lead to both of them launching rocks and feathers at each other, throwing and praying that it would hit their targets. That would often lead to inconclusive fights. But Acion wanted a conclusive one.

However, he had yet to find a loophole that he could exploit within that powerful looking quirk, but he might have a vague idea of how. If he could somehow get a brief moment, a few seconds would already be enough, when Reina was forced to disable that quirk of hers, then he might be able to disable her.

Retaining his balance, he dived again, preparing to launch feathers again. But this time, instead of getting as close as possible like the last time he did so for the dust cloud, Acion instead intend to launch his hail of feathers twice, at a greater height. He stopped descending at around twenty five meters, and launched his first wave. Then intend to climb to thirty meters, and fired another one.

The girl’s adrenaline spiked even higher when she saw Acion diving at her, immediately focusing on pushing strongly with her quirk and holding it there as she watched him launch feathers at her. Like before, they were curved away from her by the gravitational sphere around her, piercing the ground.

Her mind raced. Was he close enough that she could pull him down? No, not yet. His wings were powerful, that much was clear. Large too. The air friction just from him spreading his wings would slow any descent she tried to force on him—if he flapped against the pull he’d tear away easily.

She looked down to the ground again for another object to throw at him, only to realize that she had just pushed everything that had been near her dozens of feet away in her panic. Stupid! It was just the kind of thing she’d do, completely unused to the frenetic pace of fights and with little handle on her ability.

The girl sucked in air, realizing she was still repelling with her quirk and had been holding her breath the entire time. Not helping. She breathed heavily, her person greying more and more with every moment that passed.

Acion’s wings threw forward another blitz of feathers, prompting Reina to once again instinctively push them around her. She killed her quirk’s push, gasping for a breath as she ran a few feet to her left to pluck out two of the feathers that had landed close to each other. Though she knew they wouldn’t fly nearly as true as a small rock, she wanted to retaliate before Acion could keep attacking her. She threw them both at the same time the way she had thrown the rock, pushing as much as she could again for a split second, her voice cracking.

As she thought, one spiralled out of control harmlessly, while the second flew straight but no where near it’s mark. Taking the moment he’d at least be distracted by the threat, Reina glanced around quickly, spotting the vehicle that Sen had been injured in, several dozen metres away and closer to Jett than to herself. The girl took off towards it, keeping her eye over her shoulder at her opponent, the brief moment of not using her quirk a relieving blessing.

Jett, despite his earlier thoughts on not to use his quirk… something about that guys voice just made his blood vein in his forehead pop. He focused his thoughts and suddenly vanished in a puff of smoke. Reappearing just in front of the guy and jabbed him in the face. However since he was tired and the steep angle at which he launched it up it didn't connect well.

He paused as he looked up at the guy and smiled nervously. Chuckled twice before his smile disappeared entirely now with worry overcoming it and asked “No quirks?”  As he knew that was his last jump. But didn't know how much or what this guy even did with his. He jumped back out of range of the giant and got on the balls of his feet bouncing slightly despite his fatigue.

Ezra rubbed his chin. That punch hadn’t really hurt that much, but it surprised him. He was thankful that the punch wasn’t stronger, but it made him think. If the kid could teleport, it would be really annoying for him to have to fight him, so he thought after the kid had punched him. If that was the strongest hit he could throw, he wasn’t really threatened by him doing another whilst he took a time to think of a plan.

It was around this time that he had heard Jett ask him whether they wanted to fight without quirks. Ezra pondered on this as he spat some blood out of his mouth, presumably stemming from the punch to the chin. He figured that he could beat the utter shit out of this kid if he wasn’t teleporting around everywhere, and even if he didn’t agree to it, now that he knew what he could do to a certain extent, he would be able to react with the few uses of his quirk that he had left. It was a win-win situation for him. He hadn’t lost at hand to hand combat since he was 8, and he doubted that the record would be broken.

“Deal. Ya gonna need to hit me harder than what ya just did though if you tryna last longer than a minute here.” he spoke as he cracked his knuckles and neck.

Approaching Jett, he moved quickly, yet he didn’t break his stance as he began to get closer and closer to him, preparing to return the punch on his jaw that he had just connected. He was absolutely ready for a counter attack, with his right foot being prepared to connect a roundhouse kick on the boy if he attempted to try another quick attack.

Jett smirked at smalls and said quickly, “oh ya know the sun was in my eyes and dust… besides…. You looked like you had a glass jaw...didn’t want to shatter it.” He raised his left arm to block the punch that was coming at his own face, while he did block it, he was unprepared for the force of the giants punch and his own arm hit his face in result. “Shi..”

He used the momentum of the punch to spin him away from Smalls to prepare his next attack, spinning faster he jumped up and lashed out with his right leg with a reverse tornado kick , with his heel aimed towards his opponent's head,

Ezra smiled. It was clear that his kid was underestimating him, especially when he had threw that last punch. It wasn’t excessively strong, so he was impressed to see that the punch had enough force to send the kids arm into his face. His quick counterattack hadn’t caught him by surprise but he was definitely impressed with how quick that he had steadied himself and launched a new assault.

Ezra found himself able to respond in due time. He could have connected a kick to the boy in midair, his leg easily had that amount of reach, but he figured that the appropriate response was a block. He didn’t think that trading a blow to the head for one to the chest was worth it, and definitely respected a kick with that much momentum as he blocked the kick with both of his arms, fortifying them behind each other to be able to hold the great amount of force coming from the attack.

Jett touched the ground with his left foot and used it to roll away incase the bigger man would attack, as he left his back open to the taller man. He rolled right back up to his feet and turned towards his opponent. Lifting his hands up in a defensive position, he began to look around his surroundings...he needed to gain an upper hand somehow. The guy was stronger physically and could take his hits, it didn’t help that he was tired. He should’ve just knocked the girl out. He then bolted forward and pushed off a piece of equipment to get up above the tall guy, using gravity and his own strength to deliver a powerful punch towards the face.  Preparing for a block and retaliation from the bigger man.

Ezra was still prepared to defend against Jett, even if the last blow had kinda hurt his wrists. He noticed him using the piece of equipment as a springboard and immediately began to prepare for an overhead attack. He however, was not going to sit there and take shots without fighting back. He had a plan, and that was to block the attack and immediately go for a blow on the legs. He figured that this would be the best time, as he doubted that he would be able to dodge an attack immediately after landing on his calves.

As he felt the force of the punch utilizing both the momentum and his own power, he staggered back somewhat, but was able to keep his block in tact, even though it hurt a lot from blocking it with the same part of the body. He immediately performed a low kick after the attack had landed, leaving things up to his reflexes rather than thought as he hoped to get the lighter kid on the ground and leave things to a battle of grappling and strength rather than speed.

Jett grunted as the landed on the ground, he saw the sweeping kick coming and didn’t have time to really strengthen his stance to take it, so he loosened his right leg, which was closer and allowed the kick to knock it up, throwing him off balance but he used his left foot to guide his fall farther away from ‘Smalls’ and rolled to a kneeling position. He knew the guy was trying to keep him down. There was no way he could fight strength for strength, he had to be quick and on his feet.

He had to be unpredictable…. Getting in close was one of those ways of doing so, it was a high risk but he figured the guy wouldn’t expect it. He feinted being stuck in this position by grabbing his right thigh, as if it was cramping on him, his face in pain which wasn’t a feint as it was in reaction to his previous wounds stinging from sweat and dust. Hopefully the giant would not catch his bluff and move in on him. While he hid his real intention by bracing his left foot against a rock like a loaded spring. Ready to shove the guy as he got close.

Ezra felt the connection of the kick but it wasn’t as clean as he wanted it to be. He didn’t feel like he was able to do significant enough damage to force him to fight at a closer range. He did however notice the boy grimacing in pain as he held his thigh. He didn’t hit his thigh, but he must have taken the injury from a previous fight, as he did look pretty exhausted. He saw no problem in fighting an injured opponent, especially considering how insulting it would be to have somebody not fight you because of that, so he continued, buying into Jett’s plan.

Getting a running start, he hoped to get a clean kick to the body into knock the kneeling boy over. He hoped from that point, he could choke him out and knock him out to claim victory. He would hopefully at that stage be able to go and claim the point seeing as Acion was dealing with the girl.

Jett waited as long as he could, drawing the man in. As he lifted his leg to kick him, he smirked. Twisting and leaning slightly, he lifted his hands and used the palms of them to knocked the foot to the side away from him and leaving the tall man wide open and in the same motion pushed with all his might off his left leg, dropping his right shoulder to hit the mans diaphragm and stopped him in his tracks. While this didn’t knock him over, Jett used this opportunity to do a quick three combo hit, starting with his left fist into his stomach, then right. Then before his third attack he swept his left leg forward while pivoting with his right, around the tall mans left side, and hooked it behind his calf which was planted on the ground. And Struck finally with his left elbow in the middle of the man's chest. Hoping the blow would cause him to fall back, trip over his leg and fall on his back.

Ezra grimaced as the attack failed. He knew something was up, but he didn’t know that he was fainting his injury in his leg. It looked too real with his facial expression for him to be able to decipher that it was a fake. Thoughts ran through his head as the blows connected, and he coughed violently as his diaphragm and stomach were pounded into.

Damn. That hurt. It’s been quite some time since I’ve felt pain of this caliber. He thought as he fell backwards. He hadn’t exactly landed on his back, but he was on his arse at this point due to him being able to maintain some of his stability. He would have thrown up had he eaten that morning. But there wasn’t exactly much in his stomach to come out, so the only thing that came over him was pain in his stomach and chest.

Get up. You can’t lose, especially to this kid. He’s out of it completely, if you lose to this man after knocking the redhead out, then who the fuck are you? Can you really say that you’re the strongest at that point? It’s your own fucking fault for underestimating him that much.

Ezra rose back to his feet, though rather unsteadily, his emotions being extremely different to how they were at the beginning of the fight. His chilled, cool atmosphere, almost as if he wasn’t taking the fight seriously had gone completely. It had manifested into an atmosphere of anger, with a scowl growing more and more prominent on his face at this stage in time. He clearly wasn’t happy about that last attack, but the anger was more directed toward himself rather than Jett.

“That weren’t half bad from ya. Ya definitely twisted up my insides a bit there, so I’m gonna have ta end it now.” he spoke as he swept his hair to the side, out of the way of his forehead and eyes, and wiped the sweat from his forehead. He had genuine ambition to beat this kid now, as this was one of the few times where he had actually felt a decent level of competition. He was glad that he had been shown his own shortcomings when he wasn’t using his quirk. It had finally shown him some of the things that he had needed to work on.

Let’s not underestimate this one again. Hmm. He seems to be faster than me, but I know that if I get one good hit on him, this fight’s gotta be over. Should I try a faint, or.. No, that can’t possibly work… Wait, I got it!

His scowl didn’t go away, but if Ezra wasn’t pissed, he would have smiled. He began to slowly walk toward Jett, his intensity so thick that it seemed to be visible in the air. He began to rear his arm back and threw quite possibly the hardest punch that he had ever done in his life, at least without his quirk.

Jett used this time to move away a few feet. He didn't want to get snagged by the man as he was on the ground and pulled into a grappling fight. As he did he let out a deep sigh and tried to catch his breath as quickly as he could. He listened to the man as he complimented him, noticing his very apparent ‘street’ accent. He could tell the guy was pissed… which to be honest, scared him a little bit. If he wasn’t pissed before and throwing himself around, now he would be dealing with a more dangerous opponent.

However, in his training sessions with his grandfather Jais, he was taught to make the opponent angry, and if they fight angry they tend to make many more mistakes. And on that same note to stay calm and use his anger against him.

He just had to keep the guy at bay long enough to find that opportune moment to give him a solid kick to the head. Taking a few breaths as he got back up and started walking to him. Yeah, definitely a different guy now as he could feel the anger as he walked towards Jett.

On the balls of his feet he lifted his fists again and readied himself when he reared his arm back, reading it was as easy as a billboard. It was fast as well Jett, didn’t think he could knock it to the side with how much force he was putting into it. He managed to move his head to the right and while it grazed (rather roughly) His face, It felt like his frikken ear was ripped off, however he managed to avoid it enough to counter attack and with his left hand, and closer arm. Shot out quick jab and a follow through punch with his right.

Ezra felt like laughing, but he didn’t, The worst thing that you could possibly do in a fight is laugh before it was over and embarrass yourself getting knocked out. But his plan had came to fruition, and even went better than he expected. It wasn’t just an outright dodge, he had managed to get his hand behind him without him expecting anything. He was willing to take the two blows to his face.

Whilst they had hurt a lot more than he had wanted them to, they were a small price to pay for what was about to happen to Jett. He had managed to grab his entire frame, around the top of his arms, to the point where he couldn’t exactly move them much anymore and he had fully grappled him.

“Gotcha you sly little fucker.” was all Ezra felt was necessary before cocking his head back and headbutting Jett with all the force that he could. It definitely hurt him too, but he was fairly sure that this was going to do enough damage for him to end the fight in the next attack.

Jett cursed as he realized he just walked into this. He was going for a headbutt, that was clear as he wrapped his arms around him. He couldn’t go out with this! A Freaking headbutt!!??! No He won’t let it end like this. Reina was depending on him, so was Lysander, Fumika, Kauske… Didn’t this giant come from that direction? He tried to brace himself as much as he could, with what little time, if at all for it.

CRACK!!!!!

That sound of the giants head smashing into his own seemed to echo in Jetts mind. His head snapped back from the blow. He went limp in the man’s hold as stars exploded in Jett’s vision. The world was spinning and all he could do was close his eyes. He wasn’t knocked out yet… but oh… oh did that hurt. His body screamed at him in pain, as all of it began to flood over him.  It would be so nice to just black out. But… if this guy came from B...or A.. that means he could have defeated his team. They might not win this…. But. He is going to make sure he puts this asshole down...even if he goes down with him!He mumbled...something, his head rolling to the side.

“I’m not done yet!” Jett would growl, forcing his mind to focus as his eyes popped open with a vicious glare suddenly jabbing both of his hands into each side of the man's hips, using the sudden force and shock to move his own hips back enough to break free, But he didn’t run away, He stepped back in, wrapping his right arm around the man's back throwing his hip to into him to pop the giant up,using the momentum and leverage his lower center of gravity gave him. He roared as he used all of his strength to lift the guy and slammed him face first into the ground with a hip throw. He was so weak he followed suit and slammed into the ground with him, his head hitting hard once again against the ground, another loud audible crack could be heard. His vision began to blur horribly while he could feel every heartbeat in his head. “Take…. That…” He grunted in pain, trying to get up, but didn’t even have the strength to move a centimeter off the ground. He began to feel sick...but he still managed to finish what he wanted to say. “... you filthy animal…” He chuckled  extremely weakly before passing out his vision went dark, blood pouring out of his latest wound.

Ezra was dizzy. Extremely dizzy, to the point where he couldn’t even think. The headbutt, followed with the throw into the ground had done it in with him, and his head felt as if he was going to throw up, but yet again, his empty stomach prevailed. He never thought he’d be glad that he hadn’t eaten anything, but he figured that his job was done. The fight had effectively come to a draw, as even if he was still ‘conscious’ he couldn’t bring himself to move. He was too tired, completely out of energy, and his head felt like it was exploding.

“I’ll beat ya ass when I got food in me.. Next time it won’t end like this kid.” he spoke faintly as he laid on his back and tried not to fade to black. Blood dripped down his face from his forehead and nose as he passed out.

There was a feather that zipped pass his wings. It would have hit if Acion did not move to the right to dodge it. But it seemed that he had gotten some sort of grasp in her ability. The unusual movements of all the feathers when it got near her was the key to his speculation. It pretty much screamed to the winged boy that she can control gravity, as shown by the fact that she did not control his feathers, but also the dirt and rocks around her. Direct telekinesis may not be the case, since if she was capable of that, she would have deflected those feathers back at him, or maybe returning him with a hailstorm of rocks and so. Much better than throwing one at a time. That, or simply she was too weak for that now. She did get injured after all.

But if his speculation was correct, then

’It makes it very difficult to approach her…’
Indeed, since she can pull him down or blast him away whenever she wanted. Through his observation, it appeared that she was able to adjust that quirk manually, but by what method was unknown.

In conclusion, basic attacks won’t work.

It had to be something more complex, and require more concentration and coordination.

’Think…’

His ascend from twenty five meters to thirty only lasted no more than two seconds, combining with his feather storm, that makes it around three at best. She could react properly within that time range, then Acion had to be even faster.

But he had his limits too.

Acion was fast, but not as fast as lightning that can cut through the sound barrier or so. He just wasn’t fast enough.

Then...was it impossible?

Was it?

’No…Acion’

He shook the thoughts immediately. His father’s wise words returned to him.

’If you believe something is impossible, then it really is impossible. That is when you have given up on it. There is nothing impossible for he who will try.’

The words that rescued him from being engulfed in pessimism. Those golden words uttered by not only by his father, but also by those divine that were guiding him to his fate.

”Thank you father…” Acion mumbled.

He had renewed his confidence.

But the question still remained: Would he be able to go faster than her reaction?

Then, when he decided to think outside of the box, he had quite the answer. It was then that he decided to strike.

He began his usual dive, but this time launching feathers at a considerably lower altitude: ten meters above the ground.

’Come on, pull me down…’ He thought.

Reina sprinted hard, reaching the truck just as she saw Acion begin to dive at her. More feathers? Or this time, would he try and get in closer? As he kept approaching, her mind raced through various possibilities. If he stayed his course, she could pull him down, get him into the area where her quirk is most effective. But did she even want him close? There was little doubt in her mind that he was more proficient in a close-quarters fight than she was.

The girl’s eyes glanced forward to the damaged truck she had just reached, locking on the passenger door that had been left open.

The boy must’ve figured out the gist of her quirk by now—it wasn’t a very subtle one. He had to have known that coming closer to her would allow her quirk to affect him more. Her gaze shifted back over her shoulder, Acion as close to the ground as he had been since the beginning of their fight; his pose gave away that he was a split second away from launching more of his feathers. It felt like he was daring her to bring him down—but she’d have to repel the feathers first, before switching to pulling. That would give him too much time to react properly.

Reina made her decision, not having much time to think about how stupid it may be. It was time for some more on-the-fly quirk experimentation. She might be able to get close to him on her own terms.

The girl slipped behind the truck’s door, almost as if she was going to use it for cover, but instead immediately pushed her surroundings, as hard as she had ever tried. She grit her teeth, fighting back a whimper from the effort as noise suddenly surrounded her. Glass from the truck’s shattered windshield was sent flying away, and the truck itself slid a half dozen feet. The door she was behind slammed open, breaking off of its hinges and coming free, clattering to the dirt. She killed the push as quickly as she had started it.

The feather hailstorm was once again pushed away, but she didn’t take his bait. Either she realized his intentions, or she wasn’t trying to do so was unclear to him. But Acion noticed that she was breaking the door of the truck.

‘Now this is interesting.’

She was going to use it for cover. Reasonable, since the feather hailstorm was pretty hardcore if there were nothing to cover herself with. That could also be a problem for him. He couldn’t really adjust the throwing force of his wing muscle. If he threw it too forcefully, it might cut clean through that door and into her, causing severe injury. If that happens, who knows what might happen to her fate, and his at this school. Nobody would want to die or be expelled on the first day.

So despite having a chance to launch another feather wave, Acion decided to halt, and tried to climb up to the usual altitude.

Not a moment after Reina had stopped pushing, she began to instead pull, sliding the door directly to her feet. Her heart pounded as she stepped on top of it, knowing she was doing something crazy, and grateful, in a sense, that her adrenaline kept her from dwelling on the potential consequences too much.

Meeting Acion in the air would be the last thing he expected. This wasn’t something she had ever tried but... if she pulled with an object directly beneath her, would she not be pushed up into the air as long as she kept pulling? She’d be surfing on a door in the air. Balancing would be an issue, but it was too late to not at least try now.

The girl pulled... and nothing happened except for a few smaller rocks peppering her side and abdomen.

Her mind raced as she glanced over her shoulder at Acion, who had just begun to move upwards. No, no, if he got to high she’d lose her chance! So this idea didn’t work. But why didn’t it?

Why? She didn’t even know the rules that governed her own quirk. She spared another frustrated glance at one of her orbs while her thoughts ran.

Her gaze shifted to the roof of the truck in front of her, and she immediately climbed up to it from the hood of the car, another idea clicking into place. She remembered the many times she’d lost focus on her quirk and had pulled something that hit her, causing her to flinch in pain. Those objects moved her, however slightly. It was momentum that was needed.

And if the object was the size and weight of the truck door...

Reina climbed to her feet on the roof, looking between Acion—who was still gaining height—and the door on the ground. No time to hesitate. If this failed, she’d look like an idiot—which would be deserved—and if it didn’t... well, it’d hurt, but that’s what she had to hope for.

She wouldn’t allow herself to be a burden on her team. She would not be worse than worthless.

The girl leaped off the truck, gaining as much air as she could as she shifted her quirk to pull massively again, for what felt like the hundredth time that day, and angled herself so that she wouldn’t be hit directly in the back.

The door ran through her left side, earning a sharp yell of pain from the girl’s already tearing voice as fresh bruises flared up in renewed pain and her left arm went numb.

But it worked.

Grinding her teeth against the pain, Reina let her quirk’s pull weaken considerably, causing the truck door to peel off her side and allowing her to spin herself around and grab it with her right hand. She shifted her focus to Acion, approaching him quickly as she soared. With another cry, she turned her pull all the way back up to help bring him closer, and used her momentum to swing the door in a large arc at the winged boy’s side.

Shortly after gaining height, Acion suddenly sensed something coming for him, heard something. Something…

“ARGH!!”

What?!

He couldn’t even reacted in time.

Looking right over his shoulder, his face was filled with agony of surprise as a very familiar face was right in front of him. The face that only a second ago was on the ground. And the door that slammed painfully into his ribs.

’How did she…’

She dared to engage him in an air combat? Even if she didn’t have the advantage?

The momentum of the attack flung the winged boy a few meters away, sending him halfway falling. But fortunately, his senses still remained, and he registered his current position. Gritting his teeth in immediate pain caused by the sudden attack on his ribs, he turned himself slightly, leveling his wings, so that his body was facing upwards. This momentum was to prevent himself from descending too quickly, as the wings at horizontal level increased the air friction, thus giving him more time to focus. Giving him more time to reflect on Reina’s daring move to injure the winged boy right at his most advantageous position

’Her innovation is creative...Very well!’

Let’s see if her quirk’s innovation could keep up with a natural-born one.

That sudden, he did a sharp C turn, facing downwards while performing a single barrel roll, like a fighter plane’s maneuver, heading straight back for Reina’s position. His head span for a second, experiencing a pretty nasty G force when doing so, but after he leveled himself and prepared for a close quarter attack on his opponent, his visions cleared again, as he ripped off one of his feathers off one of his wings and held it tightly in his right hand.

Reina’s stomach dropped as she felt like she was floating, reaching the apex of her flight. Despite the very imminent danger of falling, she didn’t want to leave Acion be yet—she wouldn’t get another opportunity like this, both because the boy knew this was something she could do now, and because she was reaching her mental and physical limits. She couldn’t fail her team.

Seeing that Acion was preparing to retaliate, she shifted her quirk to pull as strongly as she could manage—weaker now due to exhaustion, but it was still enough. She let go of the door in front of her, planting her right foot on one of its edges and shoving it forward with a straight kick to run it into Acion’s gut as he was brought closer.

Acion was charging straight at her at a speed of a golden eagle at two third of his maximum speed, his feather acted as a knife raised preparing to strike. But as he got closer, Reina suddenly shoved the door she was previously holding in front of the winged boy.

”HNNGG!!”

Yet another surprise, but this time he was not as baffled as the last time, as he had less than a second to dodge it. But if he failed to take advantage of it, who knows what would happen to him afterwards. He would have to rely entirely on his instinct and reflex to get out of this one

Acion swiftly rotated around his longitudinal axis, sixty degrees sharp, counter-clockwise. The door barely missed the winged boy, but one corner, one sharp corner, of it slashed into his right leg, tearing open his jumpsuit and cutting his thigh here and there. Struggling to hold all the pain he suffered within him, the grip on the feather tightened even further. And then, he managed to slash Reina on her right arm, slightly below her shoulder.

But even if he managed to land a hit on her, he couldn’t maintain his attack vector any longer, realizing how expendable his strength and mental stability were after all that maneuvers, so he disengaged and flew upwards. Maybe after a few moments of lull in the fighting, he would be able to continue the engagement. Or maybe, continue his plan…

The girl winced at the sharp sting of the cut. Her left arm was still numb at her side, useless for the time being, so she’d just have to deal with it. Besides, the sting was almost welcome amongst the dozens of welts she had. A different kind of pain.

Acion backed off, and Reina knew that that was all she was getting out of her move. Now she was falling. She finally began to feel the fear that had been hidden away. Another idea to try for the first time, only the consequence for failure this time...

She pulled with her quirk quickly, bringing the door back to her outstretched right hand before it drifted too far away. Moving the door to be directly below her as she fell, she switched her quirk to push, sending it to the ground far ahead of her and keeping it there, body shaking from the effort of maintaining the push.

The same way she had launched herself in the air, she’d try to break the speed of her fall. With her heart pounding in her ears she turned her back to the door and protected her head with her working arm as she approached the ground, finally pulling as hard as she could in her state. A half-second later, she felt the wind being knocked out of her as her body suddenly slowed from the impact with the door. Another breathless moment passed, and she came to a hard, complete stop as she hit the ground, head swimming.

The girl found herself face first in the dirt, having rolled off the door, fighting the panic she was experiencing from being unable to breathe. She tasted blood, evidently having bitten her tongue.

That was it. She was done. Her entire body was on fire. There was no way she’d be able to continue. She had failed.

Yet she realized she was fighting to bring herself up to her knees.

Why...

Her mind told her to stay down, but she couldn’t. It was simply something she was incapable of.

Undeserving. Worthless. Burden. The girl noticed both Jett and Ezra on the ground, their fight having concluded.

Of course she couldn’t stay down. She had to give everything she had for the other students. Not only for her team that she did not want to bring down, but also Acion, who deserved a fight far better than she could provide. Even if she came up short, that was all the more reason to keep going until she could no longer move. Do everything she could to lessen the burden she was. That was all she could do.

Reina was shakily on her feet now, vision blurry. She glanced up to Acion. It was hard to think. What could she do? Try to knock him out? Maybe. The door. It had worked well so far.

She pulled lightly with her quirk, even that effort painful, bringing the door to her right foot and then back up into her right hand.

She glared at Acion, waiting for him to move—mostly because she needed a second to catch her breath after being so violently winded.

Acion reached the usual altitude again. This time, without any surprise attack at his blind spot or anything. As his adrenaline subsided, he eventually felt the earth-splitting pain on his ribs and his thigh. All that feeling, was rushing towards his brain in just a matter of a nanosecond.

His vision blurred, as the shock from the sudden rush of pain numbed his senses for a brief second. But as it cleared, he saw the purple haired girl still standing, and, although he could not figure it out for sure, she was glaring at him, as if welcoming a challenge from him. Even if she was battered, exhausted, visibly seen breathing heavily in fatigue.

’Most entertaining...most entertaining!’ He thought.

This is probably one of the most stubborn adversaries he had ever faced, if not the most. To the point that even if he did not want to admit it, she might be able to defeat him in a fair fight if she hadn’t been injured from the previous chaos involving the crane and Mamoru’s reckless actions.

Whatever the result would be, he was pretty satisfied. That determination, that daring, that will to fight until the last. The trait of a true hero. He was satisfied, not only for such a fight, but for how he had met such a person after all the weaklings he had encountered before. And having faced such hearts directly, he would not hesitate to return her his.

”You have shown your resolution, then I will show you mine.”

It was time to end this fight.

He dived again, to the previous altitude of slightly above ten meters and launched his feathers, a feigned action in order to lure her into using her quirk to pull him down. Acion even made it more tempting for her to pull him by not pulling off the usual maneuver, but instead stopped in his track, turned around his lateral axis and tried to fly back up the same way he used to dive to her.

Get him close, take him out. That was as deeply as Reina could plan now. There wasn’t anything else she could do.

Seeing Acion approaching her, she began pulling once again with her quirk to keep him from leaving, face grimacing from the pain. Like an exhausted muscle, using her quirk took a tremendous amount of effort, as if it did not want to listen to her commands, only rest. Not yet.

Everything... you have!...

Only small debris hit and stuck to her, her current surroundings relatively clear, though at this point she hardly cared about any sort of extra pain.

As he had expected, a powerful gravitational force began to pull him from below, stopping him from gaining any altitude. She had taken the bait.

But this was not enough to catch her off-guard.

’Come on! More!’

Acion flapped his wings harder and harder, trying to resist her pull, trying to break free from the pull. Until his back muscles beginning to strain, more and more. And yet he continued.

’Just a little bit more!’ He pleaded inside his head as he felt the force getting even stronger.

It hurt. Using this quirk that was far too good for her hurt. Get down here already. Get down. Get down!

The girl began to sink, as if she were about to fall to her knees, but she stayed up, only pushing her quirk further beyond its limit—her limit, that she imposed upon it due to her own weakness.

”Come down!” she finally yelled out with a cracked voice, hardly aware of herself anymore. Her body turned so that her left side was towards Acion, the door gripped tightly in her right hand being raised an inch off the ground.

Acion could barely register her words when being pulled so forcefully, but judging by the tone, she was pulling with all her might now. And Acion knew he was unable to resist anymore, as his wings getting more and more uncooperative. His muscles began to tire, stretched to the point of pain and swelling. He knew that this was his signal

It is time.

This would be the most complex maneuver he would be executing.

One mistake and he’s done for.

He took a few seconds in the air, getting his mind straight and clear, because the G force might screw his senses pretty badly. He wouldn’t want that to happen during the attack. He might receive pretty nasty injuries afterwards. But if this was to end the fight at once, it was worth the shot.

”I win…” He mumbled under his breathe, to the point that even he himself couldn’t hear it.

Then, he suddenly and instantly turned around his lateral axis, his legs shooting upwards while his back leaned backwards, his wings spread. His body position was now perpendicular to Reina’s pulling vector, his back facing her. The position helped him negate all the upward momentum he had created, and thus, enabling him to be pulled towards her.

But his technique did not stop there.

After the first move, he continued his rotation. His shoulders and head was facing towards her now, just like when he was launching his feathers at her. This, thus, revealed his true intention of the previous move.

His wings then flapped with all his remaining might, propelling him forward, or in his case, towards Reina. The acceleration, combining with the powerful pull that she projected, resulting in a massive throttle and velocity. He would then use this advantage, and the element of surprise, to take her down here and now, ending this fight once and for all.

Acion’s feather, which was clinched tightly in his hand, suddenly got loose, as he let go of the feather. He had no intention to stab this into her, as it would result in lethal injuries. After letting go of the feathers, his palm clenched tightly again into a fist, intending to hit straight onto her stomach. This momentum hopefully, no will, knock her out instantly if it hits.

Reina watched, only reacting instinctively now that her thoughts were too muddled to tell her anything. He came towards her. Finally. Quickly. Using her own quirk for more speed. Fine. The door would him that much harder for it.

She had already begun a large swing, bringing it over her head, pain flaring throughout her body in protest. Acion was on her now. Self-preservation kicked in, and she switched her pull to a huge push, one last time as she brought the door down onto the boy.

Before she could follow-through much, the feather Acion had let go stabbed itself just below her right collarbone, followed instantly by the boy’s fist running through her gut. Her vision blurred and darkened as a fresh wave of pain shocked her body, the wind knocked out of her for the second time in as many minutes.

The girl fought to keep herself conscious as her body was thrown back a dozen feet, skidding to a stop on her right side, doubled over on the ground. She coughed and wheezed, trying desperately to find her breath, spitting out blood that pooled in her mouth from her bit tongue.

Not yet... not yet...

She writhed on the ground, trying to force her body to stand. It simply wouldn’t listen. Was she even feeling pain anymore? She wasn’t sure. She was terribly uncomfortable, at the very least.

Her cheek hit the dirt as she lost the last strength in her neck. Blank eyes watched Acion as he struggled to stand, shaken but still awake. And she still couldn’t move.

Stand up! Stand!...

She couldn’t. So that was it, then. If she could have knock Acion out with her last hit, her team would be in control of C. But she had truly failed.

Fucking worthless. She couldn’t even manage her self-loathing smirk. The girl could only lay there as her body forced her to do, gazing at Acion with distant eyes while slowly finding her breath.

Of course this was always going to end in her failure. She knew that from the beginning. When had she started to hope and expect otherwise?

Stupid.

She’d have to remember to apologize to her team.

It worked.

‘It actually worked.’

Right after that thought crossed his mind, another blow could be felt on his back and his wings. And then, on his face.

After dealing his payload onto Reina, he was met with a blow to his back by the door that she was holding. That caused his vector to shift, and the angle of impact with the ground was slightly reduced, to around 20 degrees. Although this slightly hampered the force of impact, Newton’s Third Law of physics still ensured that his face would still be marked with dirt and sand as they came in contact with each other.

”Aaaaarrrrrggghhh!!!!”

It hurts. Really really hurts.

Since the angle of impact was too low, the friction wasn’t enough to swing his leg upwards to do a flip. It would probably be more painful at the beginning, but it would end sooner than this, as his shoulder and a part of his cheeks were being dragged in the sand. But luckily, his body suddenly jerked slightly to the left, his face thankfully lifted from the dirty ground, as now his left side of the torso was taking the friction for him. Several part of his left side were covered by his left wings, thus further decreasing the damage. It was far better to be damaged in the wings instead of other places.

He was dragged in the sand for around five meters, finally stopping when friction overwhelmed momentum. And yet, it costed him a few minutes to get up.

Acion tried to stood up straight, but the thoughts were immediately thwarted by the rib injury he sustained during her surprise attack. He couldn’t even stand up right, as the blood streaming from his thigh disabled any initial intention to do so. Apparently, it did not hit his main blood vein, so it shouldn’t be anything too serious, but it still hurts. A lot.

He clinched his rib tightly, trying to stand and walk his own battered body towards his opponent, towards Reina, the feeling of pain surging to his brain . In the few minutes Acion was lying motionlessly and trying to stand up, she was still on the ground. She could not possibly be dead after this. Unconsciousness was probably the worst case scenarios, since he was intending to hit her in a soft spot. And he was ninety nine percent sure that she would be out cold after that. With all that momentum, there’s no way she could…

’She’s still maintaining consciousness?’

That’s impossible.

Acion did remember that she had emitted a gravitational push just before he struck her, but even after the addings and subtracting, how was it possible? For her eyes to open like that.

”For Achilles’s sake, you truly are stubborn. And courageous.”

Still lying in a half fetal position, cheek to the ground, Reina’s eyes had stopped tracking the boy at some point. They glanced back up to him when he addressed her.

Huh. Well, she’d take the compliment—at least the first, if it could be considered as such—however little good those traits Acion saw in her did her during the training.

”...Thanks,” she managed through ragged breaths. The desire to return the compliment was killed by how uncomfortable it was to speak right now. She settled on a vague “You too.” The thought was there.

Acion looked around. The battle was over. Both for him, Reina, Ezra and Jett. Glancing at the two motionless bodies lying not far from there, he figured much that the two of them had gone out cold. The normal Acion would usually head there to carry them to the ground’s exit, but he basically did not have the strength anymore. He’d noticed that the building at B was also down, but he wouldn’t be able to go and help those who might be stuck there. He couldn’t help it.

The winged boy sat down next to his fallen opponent, his breathings also heavy from all that he just pulled off. His teammate had taken an Alpha along with him, while Reina was pretty much immobilized. Acion was the only participating member to be able to remain on his feet, no one else appeared to be there.

Did this mean he had won? He had taken control of C?

If that was the case, this victory was hard earned. Never once before did he have to strain himself that much. Not because his opponents were weak. Some were rather opposite, but mentally weak. But this girl, however, was different. She was brutally determined, her resolution was iron. Although he did not want to admit this, but he couldn’t help saying it out loud, with all the honesty he could muster.

”You really are a worthy opponent. It is a pity that you were injured before the fight. If not, the result might have been different.”

Reina gave something of a snort in response, though it was so weak it was hard to tell.

”Thanks...” she said again quietly, eyes moving to look at the her right hand. She had used her quirk so much she had nearly entirely become a grey monotone, both in skin and clothing. Colour was already slowly returning to her, but it still gave her pause. The side-effect of her quirk had never been so noticeable.

Her thoughts drifted a bit to how nice it felt to not be exerting any sort of control over her quirk in the slightest, allowing to be in it’s default state of slightly pulling. It was almost like she was finally able to breathe for the first time since the training had started.

By this time they would see a Jeep speeding it’s way over to Jett and Ezra not too far from them. A tall man with long grey hair jumped out of the vehicle along with two other men and ran over to the two downed students.

Well, that was probably it.

It wasn’t L Guardian, but it was for certain that they were here to pick up the incapacitated, for sure. Acion was also offered a chance to leave the battlefield on the jeep to the infirmary, but he refused, raising one of his hands in protest. The teacher has yet to call off the fight. And if it hadn’t been called off, he wouldn’t be leaving. He’s the only Delta holding this point. What if somebody overtook it if he left?

As they left along with the three in tow, Acion kept eyeing at them until it finally disappeared from his sight

”At first glance I thought you were like so many others, a fragile shell. I guess I was wrong.”

Acion mumbled to nobody in particular, nor he intended to utter those words anyway. If he had asked himself, he wouldn’t understand why he said it either, for it was a natural thought, words spoken not by his mind, but his nature.

”And now that I’ve met you…” He clenched his fist tightly. ”I will not let you surpass me.”

Elvira, Jais, Ezra

A few minutes after Jett and Ezra's fight....

A jeep pulled up onto c soon after the battle between Jett and Ezra a large older man with long white hair jumped out of the passenger seat and ran over towards the two fallen fighters, his steps were nimble, quick and graceful as he lept over the wreckage of the war zone of C. He he slid the last few feet and came to a stop over Jett. His hands reaching out gingerly as he touched the top of Jett's head, inspecting the wound.

He let out a sigh when he felt Jett's breath barely on his other hand. Looking over to Ezra he couldn't help but smile. That damn boy managed to take that larger one down despite all his wounds and being nearly knocked out moments before that. He sure had some grit.

His thoughts turned to Ezra, impressed that the boy was still awake after The head butt with Jett and being driven into the ground head first. His unorthodox fighting style made it clear he wasn't formally trained, but just a natural fighter.

“Impressive fight boy… though you two may have gone a bit overboard.” He said to Ezra, while not looking directly at him, but close enough.

He looked up and nodded to the two assistants that came with him. They brought over a stretcher, but quirky realized that Ezra was too big for it and decided to pick him up under his arms and legs. While the man picked up Jett gently and surprisingly easy and held him as a father would a sleeping child, carrying him back to the Jeep as quickly as he could without jarring Jett around.

Ezra’s consciousness was hanging on by a thread, and he was quite surprised to find that somebody had come to pick him up so quickly. He didn’t think he was exceptionally injured, he’d imagine that he’d heal quite quickly with the little thinking capacity he had left after that fight, but he was genuinely impressed with the response rate.

His eyes were barely open due to the blood dripping from his forehead, as he was taking precautions to preventing it from getting into his eyes, but he had noted that he had said something to him, which he had just about made out when he had spoken through the pounding headache that was present.

“Ye.. that little fella was stronger than I thought. I’m shocked that it got that far when we ain’t even use our quirks.” he was barely able to speak, and it was questionable that Jais would have even heard the faint voice, but Ezra visibly had a smile on his face despite all odds. He had found the competition that he had been searching for

Elvira was under strict orders. Stay in the car and don’t even think about hopping out to wander til her heart’s content. She had a habit of straying - whether orders were stapled to her shoulders or not. There was just so much to see, so much to experience. You didn’t need emotions to appreciate true, natural, beauty. Her hand closest to the car door handle itched at her side. All five fingers flexed and curled repeatedly in quick succession ‘til nail marks were left upon her palms and her joints began to ache.

How could she meekly sit still in this car all by herself when she knew he was out there? It had been so long. Weeks? Months? In reality, whatever the girl decided on, it was bound to be much shorter than that but rational thinking was out the window. A feeling similar to boredom drove it out without an inkling of slowing down. What was taking so long? Jais had said there was a fight, battle? Elvira couldn’t quite remember what he had said. All she’d heard was the name of the boy competing. That’s all that was needed.

The impatient brunette turned her head towards the window, eyes narrowed in an attempt to fight of the sun. Was that…? Jais! She knew the outline of that man better than she knew any other. One had to remember those who offered such generosity. Elvira noticed that he wasn’t alone either. Someone was cradled within his arms and didn’t seem to be showing any attempts of carrying their own weight. Mind you, the situation didn’t appear to be normal.

Without thinking, both of Elvira’s hands reached out to the door handle. Her eyes never left the rapidly approaching figure of the two men coming her way. Colour, she could live without. Sight? Not so much. It took her longer to fling open the door with the lack of focus than it ever would. If she had been paying attention, her need for efficiency might have alerted her to that fact.

“Jais? Who’s that? Is it Jetty? What’s the matter? What happened? Is that normal?”

The flurry of questions, despite being slowed by her natural way of speaking, came out in such an order that answering any she posed would require dissection of the highest surgical precision.

Jais looked up as he heard Elvira get out of the vehicle and call out to him. “That child…” he sighed. As she ignored his orders. He didn't want her to see Jett like this, not that she wouldn't see him like that in the jeep. But she insisted she come with him instead of waiting in the observation room. He didn't want her to fret,

“Yes it's Jetty…” he answered in a deep calm voice. He was sucked into what he called Jett at home. Continuing “He just knocked out from his fight with this lad here.” He motioned with his head. “ This happens from time to time… he should be fine.” He lied. That laceration on his head looked pretty deep. It was clear he had a concussion. He always pushed himself to his limit.

As he passed her he laid Jett in the back of the jeep, next to Ezra. He then turned to Elvira. “I need you to hold his head child as we drive back. Can you do that?” He should have been fine. Better safe than sorry though, and it would give her something to do. One of the assistant's placed a gauze over Jett's head and wrapped it, while the other stabilized the kids neck. They had to leave the back gate open for his legs to fit.

Elvira watched Jais with such intensity with those purple eyes of hers (albeit one was hidden by the choppy bang over her right eye), others would have most likely turned away within a second. Every move of a muscle, each blink of the eye, she noted. Though a link was needed to manipulate the emotional state of a host, one was certainly not needed to observe the current emotions running through someone. You had to be careful around her. Just like a child, Elvira observed the most minute of details. Ones that could end up betraying the façade. Still new to this however, the forced calmness of Jais’s voice prevented her from discovering his true state. That and the fact that the majority of her mental capacity was now absorbing her new role as nurse.

“Yes… I can do that.” Elvira responded in a voice quieter than usual.

She didn’t know why, but the severity of the situation was one that she swore she could feel. It hung in the air and plucked all conversation from it. If she reached out her hand, she was adamant she’d feel it brush against her fingertips. Elvira, however, was not brave enough to experience such a thing. One palm came to gently rest upon Jett’s right cheek while the other came a little lower upon his left - the point where his jaw curved and met his cheek - to stabilise his head.

This wasn’t Jett. He wasn’t moving enough. Wasn’t spouting nonsense or cracking a silly joke that only Elvira would find amusing. She never knew just how much of a hole there was when Jett wasn’t around until she was this close and forced to acknowledge his absence. At least back home she could console herself with the fact that she simply couldn’t be near him.

Briefly, her eyes glanced over Jett to land on the boy beside him. What was his name again? Elvira… didn’t seem to care. All she knew was that it was his fault on why Jetty was like this. Happens from time to time? Academies condoned knocking each other unconscious? No, they didn’t. Couldn’t. Often, Elvira would ask others if the questions running through her head and the assumptions she made were correct but this one just didn’t seem to fit.

“What happens now?” Elvira turned her head to look within the rear mirror - conversations were easier when looking at the person’s face. “To Jetty? To… him?” She gave the boy beside Jett one more glance, eyebrows furrowed just that tad more, then turned her head back to it’s previous position. “Do they get pinched by the ear?” Though she spoke with the utmost seriousness, what she said had quite the comical background. The two younger Havens, when in trouble, would comment with trembling lips about how their mother would ‘pinch them by the ear’ if they ever misbehaved severely. Elvira had then judged that to be the highest disciplinary action possible.

The two men who were with them glanced at each other at her form of punishment. With queer looks on their faces, asking the silent question of who was this girl?! But they said nothing, as the radio crackled to life informing them that two more students were injured at C.

Jais motioned for them to carry on quickly. They quickly scanned the area to see the other two students on the ground. “These students are going to be a handful… That much is clear.” Jais said as the jeep turned over and made its way over to the other students. Jais turned his head back towards Elvira though he could see her just fine with his minds eye. “ The punishment if any will come from the Headmaster. You must remember young lady, this is a hero academy… this is what they train themselves to face for the rest of their pro careers.” Looking forward he tried to see outside the car as far as he could, not that it helped. Cars were insulated for noise. So everything was dark within five feet.

He continued “... I while this is an extreme case, I doubt it would lead to expulsions.”

He then added softly to himself. “Not when there is so much talent and potential in one class. More than I have ever had before…”

Throughout the entire explanation and reasoning, her hands stabilizing Jett’s face didn’t move an inch. Her eyes swivelled back to Jett’s face and began to scan for any signs of his awakening. Jais did have a point. Out of the two of them, he was the one most familiar with situations such as this one. In fact, of all the people in this car; Jett, Jais, the assistants, even the giant, Elvira knew the absolute least.

Quirks ranged from simple enhancements of strength to full-blown transformations beyond the human form. Oh boy, did this academy house many on each end of the spectrum. Casualties like this, Elvira supposed, were the ‘average’ around here. Besides, these two were the result of an almost quirkless fight - if she’d heard the static of the radio right. Both assistants were too preoccupied with treating the wounded to shield Elvira from what was truly going on like Jais had attempted to do. She only hoped that other potential heroes were just as robust and adaptable as these two boys had been.

The jeep came to a stop in front of the two students Acion and Reina. Where he stepped out and made his way over to the students. He knelt down next to Riena to see if she was ok first. Noticing she was still awake He then asked Acion, “Can you walk...or fly lad? Or do you need a ride back?”

After receiving an answer from Acion, Jais turned back to the girl and said, "Come on... let's get you to the infirmary."

Donny Yang

Carefully looking around, Donny was ready for an ambush. Even though he was the one hiding, he still suspected treachery at every corner. Mamoru's shield was ready to pop out of his body at any second. It didn't help that Donny's mind wandered about Mina. In the rush of battle there was a lot of details he missed out on, but now that things were calmer he could feel her soft, smooth skin against his body. He remembered the warmth and feeling of her silky legs rubbing against him as he tunneled down into the ground. Even those lasers she shot at him made Donny feel warm and tingly inside instead of hurt. And of course, he couldn't forget her face. All her faces, from her fighting face, her angry face, her happy face. They all looked beautiful to her. Because there was one thing about them that wasn't like any other girl who saw his true form: Mina showed no fear. She faced him head on and thought of him not as a monster, but as a person.

Donny wanted to meet her again, but he wasn't sure if he could. Knowing that she was the daughter of some hot-shot super hero, he felt like there was just some sort of class barrier between them now. He was just some chum with a weird Quirk. Mina could shoot lasers and literally outshine anyone. He felt something of a Beauty and the Beast feeling, but the more he thought about it, that was a bad comparison. The Beast was scary but rich and powerful, while the Beauty was a humble and kind. "In hindsight, those comparisons don't make as much sense." He wondered if there was a better comparison. Shrek perhaps.

Donny walked around Point C until he found where Acion was. It certainly looked like there was a fight here, though most of the combatants were already gone. From the tire tracks he guessed that they were taken away to the infirmary. "W-W-Wow, these guys are violent..." Donny approached Acion, however once he was close enough Donny hide himself. He was still in the form of a black blob, and he didn't want to scare Acion. Nor did he want Acion to judge him. So he burrowed into the ground nearby and shouted for Acion. "A-Acion! Are you alright? What happened to everyone else? Is there anyone else from Alpha Team here?" Donny couldn't see anyone else and he is pretty sure they wouldn't leave Acion's body out as bait... Maybe. Donny's idea of a cunning plan was to drop a whole building onto others, leaving a survivor out as bait seemed tame in comparison. "T-T-Things look like they go-o-o-ot exciting here..."

ACION

Not long after the jeep left with the three members of class 1-A, Acion heard a voice coming from behind him. But when he turned to identify it, there was no one there. He could blame his poor vision due to the sands and dusts coming from the site, but he could say for sure that there was no one standing anywhere in sight

'Who's that?'

The voice was very familiar.

"Donny?"

That tone of voice, that stutters. No mistakes. So he did manage to complete his task. But really? Bringing down an entire building? He was even more excessive than Mamoru. Looking at the damage the class had caused to this place, to be honest...he had to be careful around them. Otherwise he would wind up getting killed.

"And no, I'm not alright. But currently, I am holding C at the moment." Acion looked around, trying to figure out where the guy was.

"Come on, show yourself. I don't think I prefer to be talked to without knowing where it is coming from."

Kenichi and Fumika

Nurse's Office > 1-A Classroom

Feat. @Feyblue

Her first sensation upon awakening was pain: a dull, aching throb that surged through her body with each breath she took, then just as quickly receded. Fumika’s blue eyes fluttered open as she finally found within her the strength to lift her seemingly immovable eyelids. She instinctively tried to raise an arm to brush the fog from her vision, but another dull jolt of pain as several bruises cried out in protest quickly put a stop to that plan. So it was that she found herself simply lying flat on her back, gazing up at an unfamiliar white ceiling.

Her energy levels had plummeted… what exactly had happened again? Her memories were still a jumble, structural blueprints and molecular properties flashing through her head when she tried to recall the information she’d encoded that afternoon. Faces appeared before her mind’s eye, but she couldn’t put names to all of them. There was a blonde girl who was glowing, a red-haired young man with wires extending from his arms to form a cage, a gloomy looking boy with gold eyes peering out from over the frame of a gas mask… And then there was the face of Haruka, gazing down at her as she reached out her hand, and the face of a blue-haired boy, a broad grin on his face as he raised his fists. This was… her enemy. Right. A jolt of static ran through her hair, causing her bangs to fluff themselves violently outward to either side of her as she slowly sat up, ignoring the lingering soreness in her body as best she could. A single strand of hair stuck straight up from her head, and she glanced back and forth, only to see featureless white curtains hanging to either side of the bed she had found herself lying upon. Was this… the nurse’s office? It reminded her of the hospital...

Then, she’d really gotten hurt that badly? It seemed hard to believe, especially considering that she no longer seemed to have a scratch on her, but the bruises and soreness in her muscles that yet lingered made it somewhat difficult to deny... Even so, it was a bit baffling to contemplate. When she’d been training with Haruka, she’d fought just as hard, but their fights had only ever lasted until she invariably was knocked down and Haruka managed to pin her. This time, she hadn’t had that luxury. She’d been beaten down time and time again, but there was no rule that said she when she was defeated, and she herself had been too desperate to give up… So, she’d just kept getting back up time and time again, taking blow after blow until finally neither of them could move anymore. Because the match would only end when someone either conceded or couldn’t fight, the only limitation she’d had was on how much energy she could use and how long she was willing to hold out. But, her opponent had to hold back his own strength to avoid killing her… She’d seen his real power in his final attack, and now that the adrenaline had worn off, she began to realize she’d mistaken his intentions. He hadn’t been holding back because she wasn’t worth his time. Rather, he’d held back because he had no other choice. In other words, she’d been fighting as if her life was on the line, when her enemy had only been treating it as a spar.

Now that she thought about it, every step of the way, the fight had only escalated because of her. She hadn’t simply attempted to withdraw when she had the chance, and had instead attacked him directly. Then, when he’d held back against her, she’d taken it as an insult, and had resorted to burning herself out using more dangerous projections. She’d even hurled him through a wall, and used steel beams of all things are a makeshift projectile! Because she hadn’t been thinking clearly… Because she’d assumed he could take it… Because nothing she could have done would have worked on Haruka anyway, so she’d acted without thinking of the potential consequences. He’d done his best to dodge and defend against her, and had kept trying to take her down without hurting her too much… And for his trouble, he’d ended up even worse off than her.

She needed to apologize. She’d done something very wrong without thinking about it. Even she, who could hardly understand other people, realized exactly how mistaken her actions had been. Because of her, someone who’d just been trying his best was hurt. Even if he was scary, even if he’d hurt her a bit too… That was wrong. For a Hero who should have been doing her best to make everyone happy, that was definitely wrong!

She stood up without thinking. Her legs popped in protest, the burning soreness in them trying to deter her from any further movement, but she paid them no mind, shuffling clumsily over to the curtain and pulling it violently open. There was still a haze in front of her eyes… she couldn’t see well… She glanced back to the bed, locating the thing she was missing. Her glasses must have either fallen off or been removed while she was asleep. Retrieving them, she placed them gingerly upon the bridge of her nose, but found her hands weak and shaky. She felt so tired… Even though she’d gotten a bit of rest, she was still probably only at the bare minimum energy level to remain conscious. But even so, she couldn’t sleep now. She had something she needed to do, and to delay any further would be unacceptable.

It looked like there were a few other people in the office… The pink haired girl from earlier appeared to be up and about, while a few others were coming and going.

Kiwi grinned as she moved her hand towards Kenichi, right when the door opened and Mako appeared with another student. On top of that it seemed that Fumika had woken up first. Mako dropped off a boy from earlier, one who seemed to linger around rather then getting to class. She smiled, “Sure you can stay a little...Now where were we” Right as she was placing her hand over she was interrupted by another student getting up as well, Kiwi was beginning to get annoyed. One more interruption and someone was gonna suffer, “Be a good boy now and sit tight while I experime- err I mean heal your wounds” She said bringing her hand slightly above the boys face. The bugs began crawling out of her pores, the big beetles and the smaller ones began crawling onto Kenichi’s body, the big ones latching onto his skin to suck out the paralysis while the smaller ones repaired broken tissue. “Try not to move honey” She said.

"No see you were clearly about to say experiment--" Kenichi winced as the bugs swarmed him. At the moment he couldn't feel their hundreds of little legs prodding and poking their way along his body, and oddly enough that was enough of a removal from the situation that he could watch it from a sort of third person viewpoint. A smaller, buzzing variety with four wings and what looked like a medical syringe instead of the proboscis it would normally have flew anywhere where blood had been spilled, especially to the cut on his scalp. Just around the edges of the cut they inserted their needles--he didn't feel more than a light pinch, given their size--and sucked up all the blood still dribbling around the wound and under the skin. Kenichi couldn't see it, but he had heard that when a mosquito bit you it released something that kept your blood from clotting and irritated the skin, which was why the bites usually swelled up; these medicine bugs seemed to do the opposite, as once they withdrew their needles the blood had stopped flowing and, instead of a dark colored blood clot that would eventually harden into a scab, the cut seemed to have been covered in a clear, shiny paste.

The flying ones did the same for the cuts all over his arm, but first they held back the edges of the skin so that something that looked suspiciously like ants and termites--colored in white with red crosses on their backs and a small growth on the head that looked like a nurse's cap--could crawl into his arm. This was where Kenichi started mentally screaming but physically locked his jaw shut, grinding his teeth so hard together it made an audible and disturbing noise. The creatures went below the surface of the skin, and were even small enough to slip between muscle fibers in some cases. Once again unseen but merely felt by Kenichi, the termites found any places where micro fractures or other stresses had been caused on his bones and began to eat any fragments of broken material they could find. With a mixture of calcium inside them they worked the bone dust into a paste, which they then spat out and worked back onto the patient's skeleton. The ants were doing something similar with all the torn muscles, depositing sticky gobs of something like silk (which was made of materials that would be re-absorbed into the patient's body over time) onto the tissue fibers and weaving them back together. They then marched right out of the openings they had come through the first time, and by now Kenichi's eyes had rolled back into his head and he was starting to foam at the mouth.

The mosquitoes now darted all along his arm, sucking out the blood that had clotted underneath the skin after blood vessels had burst. The limb's purplish coloration began quickly fading in circular spots that grew until they intersected, and soon his limb looked human again. While they did this, a new insect with a long thorax and antennae crawled over and began spinning some kind of web--again a synthetic compound that would dissolve safely over time--that they used to suture up the worst of the cuts.

Then the other insects headed back to Kiwi, while the beetles latched on and hoovered up the paralytic agent in Kenichi's system like crack addicts in a Tarantino film. The rush of sensation back to his limbs brought the blue-hair back to consciousness, and he sat there for a moment looking himself over while the bugs returned to their mistress.

"Well uh...at least it's all over now?" He looked at Kiwi, then at Mako. "Are you the school therapist by any chance? Because I'm gonna need that. Forever."

Then he noticed that the bed next to his had the curtains pulled back, and the girl he had fought stood there with her ahoge drooping slightly, although the rest of her hair was frizzed out for some reason like she'd been rubbing a balloon on her scalp.

"Yo, good to see you up and about!" he said, the horrifying memories of bugs instantly repressed and replaced with a bright smile. He sat up and swung his legs over the edge of the cot as he turned to face her. "I was worried I'd hit ya too hard--sometimes my Quirk's hard to reign in. Nice fai-to, Ahoge-cha--Oh, sorry." He turned his head to one side, scratching his nose to help hide his bashful expression. "I never got your name. You probably already heard mine, since I've screamed it like three times today, but I'm Yoshida Kenichi. Nice to meet you!"

Fumika stared. What was she looking at, exactly? There were insects everywhere, and they seemed to be crawling out of one person’s body and into someone else’s. There were so many of them, though, she couldn’t really make out any details of what was going on or who the unfortunate person being crawled all over was. Her eyes pulsed red as curiosity got the better of her, although they immediately shut when a pounding in her head reminded her that she barely had any energy left to spare, and the only data she got was that the insects seemed like they were being constructed before emerging. So… an emission Quirk? It seemed like they were permanent, but for once, Fumika couldn’t bring herself to be envious of this particular ability. It seemed… kind of disgusting.

Well, whatever was going on, everyone seemed to be treating it like it was normal. That meant it probably was normal, so she was the strange one for thinking it was unusual, right? So, she just needed to act like it was totally normal and everything would be fine. Then she’d be normal too. So, she watched patiently until the insects crawled back revealing…

It was the boy from earlier? Her attempts to search for him had ended just two steps away from where she’d awoken. Compared to how difficult and stressful everything else that morning had been, it almost seemed too easy.

As he suddenly shot upright, Fumika drew back instinctively, memories of his fist drawn back and ready to strike flashing into her brain. She’d been analyzing his movements as closely as she could during the fight, and now, all of a sudden, it was hard to associate him with anything but an incoming attack. She flinched, but no such flurry of motion came. Right. The match was over. He was smiling at her, complimenting her, even worrying about her… He wouldn’t have had to worry if she hadn’t taken things so far.

The boy - Yoshida, apparently. Right, she remembered that he’d said his name once or twice before. He had said so much at once, and she was still so sleepy that she had trouble processing all of it. What was she supposed to say here? ”I’m… sorry,” She stumbled over her words, beginning with her original message before realizing that wasn’t what he’d asked for. No, he’d asked for her name! ”Or… Um... That’s not my name, but rather what I wanted to say… I’ve never actually met anyone named ‘Sorry,’ and I think if someone actually had that name it would just be confusing for everyone.” She blinked. Wait, what had she been saying again? Right, her name. ”Motome Fumika.” She announced her name without any explanation or clarification, bowing slightly as she did so. The strands of fluff sticking up from her head wobbled unsteadily as she lowered her head, only for another brisk jolt of static to run down the ends of her hair and force them straight back upright again.

She stared in silence, thinking back on his words. She understood most of it, since she’d been trying really hard to pay attention this time. But, one thing he’d said still hadn’t made sense. She didn’t recognize it. She tilted her head slightly to one side, looking like a curious bird as she spoke.

”What’s an ahoge-cha?”

The girl still seemed a little out of it, fumbling with her words, but Kenichi gave her a patient smile and waited for her to finish. Glasses, soft spoken, but he knew for a fact she had to be intelligent, so she was probably just one of those shy bookish types. He noted what looked like a spark of electricity running through her hair for a moment, and for the first time also noticed what seemed like...some kind of digital display? He had thought it was a hairclip, but it seemed like it was actually part of the hair instead? Was that something to do with her Quirk?

She asked him what he had meant by the nickname earlier, and he chuckled.

"Ah, before I knew your name I had just kinda taken to calling you "Ahoge-chan" in my head, since there were a couple of other blonde girls in the class. Sorry, Motome-chan." He put one hand on his head and pointed a finger straight up. "An ahoge is like...you see it anime a lot, a character has this one strand of hair that always sticks up. Sometimes it even moves around like an antenna or makes shapes to match a character's expression." Fumika nodded slightly, placing a hand on her own head and pointing straight upward as well - a motion which her antenna mimicked, curling itself into a shape oddly reminiscent of a question mark. He then gestured to her. "You've got a noticeable one...and now that I think about it, it moves sometimes too."

He put his chin on his fist and looked at her with intense concentration for a few long, awkwardly quiet moments. Then he snapped his fingers.

"Okay, I think I got it. You can project copies of stuff, that little symbol on your head has changed at least once when I think back on it, and your hair acts like it conducts electricity. Does your Quirk have something to do with video cameras?" Honestly he felt dumb for not picking up on this earlier--his dad was a reporter and photographer. Kenichi hadn't really ever studied it, but he'd picked up enough over the years to start recognizing the signs. "And I bet your hair is like...some kinda optic fiber? With your ahoge acting like a kind of antenna to broadcast your projections." He smiled again. "Sorry, I hope I'm not pryin' too much! Your Quirk was just really cool and useful back there; if you could maintain more copies or hold them for longer, you'd be a one-girl Hero army!"

Fumika nodded. She was a little reluctant to confirm his suspicions at first, but that was probably just her lingering unease after their fight. After all, he was supposed to be her classmate, not her enemy, right? And, besides… even if he was still a little bit intense, he wasn’t so scary now that she saw him up close. He was smiling, and laughing, and joking with her… He even complimented her on her Quirk… And yet, despite how nice he was, she’d gone and hurt him like that… Her bangs drooped and she tugged on them again for reassurance. She needed to apologize, but she also needed to answer his questions. What was she supposed to say?

”It’s basically like that,” She began slowly, nodding. She demonstrated as best she could without any power left to actually project with, changing modes three times in quick succession. Her eyes blinked red with a matching dot appearing above them, which then shifted to a green arrow, and then finally back to two pale blue bars which then faded out as her eyes went from green back to their normal color. ”When I look at something, I can record it and store it in my hair. Then I can make a copy that does the same thing as the original so long as I’m looking at it, so long as my body can create enough particles to form it. If I can’t see it, though, the signal gets messed up and it stops being tangible.” She looked away, seeming… embarrassed? It wasn’t that she was uncomfortable talking about her Quirk - she knew its ins and outs fairly well, and although she wasn’t terribly fond of how it worked, it wasn’t as if it was some deep, dark secret to her. But rather…

”I’m sorry. Everything I said about what I could do when we were fighting was a complete lie. Actually, the only things I can make copies of are things I’ve already seen and recorded, and moving myself between them was just something I made up because you were scary.” Her eyes slowly dropped down to the floor, and her antenna followed suit, drooping to one side. ”My powers aren’t really good for much more than copying other people, so I was scared to fight head-on when I knew we were being tested. I thought that if I won using somebody else’s Quirk, it would be like I hadn’t even tried at all. And because I acted like that, you got all hurt…” She trailed off, seeming uncharacteristically gloomy. And really, why wouldn’t she be? There were few things she disliked more than people who used their powers irresponsibly, but she herself had done just that. If he was mad at her, or even if he just thought she was pathetic… She’d understand that much. That was how it usually was, after all. She’d enjoyed people talking to her, but she knew full well that after today, it would probably go back to the way it had always been. She’d sit on the sidelines, observe the people around her, and record what she could make use of. She wouldn’t bother anyone, wouldn’t get in anyone’s way. She’d just continue living by herself, disconnected from everything but her goal.

She kept tugging her hair every so often...was that a tell of when she was distressed about something? Had asking about her Quirk been too much, right after learning her name? Some people were sensitive about it after all. But she confirmed his discovery, making her eyes flash along with the recording symbols. Kenichi leaned in closer unconsciously as he watched, but then jerked back for fear that their faces were getting too close. Talk about getting lost in someone's eyes...still, hers were pretty...

She broke contact at about the same time as he did, turning away. Kenichi hoped she didn't think he was some kinda creeper--did she even remember the whole falling down thing from earlier? But then she started apologizing for lying about her Quirk earlier--she couldn't actually switch between copies, she had just said it to get a leg up in the fight. Her ahoge drooped now--yeah, she was definitely distressed. But her perception of her Quirk was all wrong, from Kenichi's point of view.

"Hey, don't look so glum!" Kenichi said, a little louder than he meant to, while putting a reassuring hand on her shoulder without even questioning whether or not she was cool with personal-space infringement. He gave her a thumbs up and another grin. "It was a spar, a really good one at that! I was worried about hurting you too, but that's just one of those things--I mean, you wouldn't go to a Judo club and expect to not get thrown on your head every once in awhile, right?" He stood up off the cot and struck a series of body-building poses to prove that he was alright. Then, with the same kind of intensity, he struck a pose where he pointed at her dramatically.

"And don't think that way about your Quirk! When did you use someone else's? Even if your projections can use powers of their own, they're still your creations and you're the one controlling them! Not using your Quirk in Hero-school is like...is like jogging for a bike race just cause you had to buy your bike from a store!" Actually he wasn't sure if that was a good analogy, and he stopped posing to think about it. As he did so, he also absentmindedly thought out loud about some of his own insecurities.

"Besides, your Quirk has tons of potential. Me, I'm just a poor man's All Might--I can run fast, hit stuff, and jump around. I'm only good for fighting or lifting things." He looked at her, again appraising his memories of what she had done. "You can do anything, so long as you have a recording that fits the situation. And you're smart--I bet since you can record things, you have a good memory. As for me, things tend to go in one ear and out the other." He lightly bonked himself on the head with his knuckles, winking at her in the process. "Just like anything else, Heroes with brains like you will win out over dumb brawny types like me."

Fumika winced slightly as all-too-suddenly, Kenichi reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder. Her tracksuit was still rather ragged from the earlier fight, and he’d happened to place his palm right over a small gash in the fabric. She felt an all-too-clear impression of his skin, down to the finest of lines and creases in it, pressing its way onto her particle shell, leaving an imperceptibly faint imprint that nevertheless lingered even when he drew back his hand and jumped up, striking a few odd poses. She’d have tried to mimic him, but he kept moving around so quickly and all the words he was saying were coming out so fast and she could still feel his hand on her shoulder and it was all just so hard to keep up with!

Finally, he seemed to be finished. What he’d said… it was so much to take in, but… He wasn’t mad at her for lying? He was smiling even though she’d hurt him? And what he’d said about her Quirk… Nobody had ever told her something like that before. Whenever she copied someone else, they’d always get upset, as if she’d stolen something from them. At the very most, they’d grudgingly admit that it was useful for the situation, but they’d still never been happy with it. It has always been their power that did the work, not her own. But this boy, Yoshida Kenichi, thought that this power wasn’t a fake? He thought that it was her own? Rather, he talked about his own abilities as if they were nothing special?

”But that’s wrong, though,” Fumika stated matter-of-factly. Yet, as she continued, she seemed more to be talking to herself than to the boy in front of her. ”Yoshida’s Quirk has all sorts of uses… He used it to kick up dust so I couldn’t control my projections, and he could easily have used it to pull me in just by breathing. He might even be able to use it to clear away rubble and debris, so it’d be good in a disaster, too. Oh, or he could use it to blow out fires like a big birthday candle! ...Wait, does that mean that he needs to have a really big candle on his birthday? But what about the cake? Wouldn’t it get blown away too…? Oh!” Her gaze suddenly refocused on Kenichi, as if she’d just remembered she was having a conversation, and she seamlessly shifted from thinking aloud to talking to the boy in front of her. ”You’re amazing. You’re almost as fast as Haruka, and at least as strong. No matter how tough your enemy is, and no matter how hard a me could try to beat you, you could still definitely win.” She spoke with the same sort of childlike admiration as if she was talking to a real superhero already, rather than just a hero-in-training.

...And then promptly ruined it. ”Oh, but I don’t know if Yoshida is smart or not. He fought like he was smart, and figured out my Quirk right away… But he also didn’t realize about my energy limit and burned himself out attacking a copy when just hitting me would have worked… He also jumped right in even though I made five people to guard against him, and didn’t even try a surprise attack to even the odds... And he kept yelling the names of his attacks even when I didn’t know where he was, so he couldn’t take me by surprise, either… But his attacks had cool names, like Haruka’s… Hmm…” Once more she lapsed back into her own thoughts, evidently not realizing that the person whose potential idiocy she was contemplating was standing right in front of her.

Now it seemed to be her turn to reassure him, and though Kenichi was a bit confused by her use of third-person at first, he laughed when she talked about the birthday cake. When she refocused the conversation he kept listening, but at the mention of Haruka his expression sobered up a little--he wasn't irritated or anything, but that name gave him something to think about, in particular that one-sided conversation Motome-chan had during their battle, and the dark haired girl who wasn't in their class that she had projected. Nonetheless, the blue hair blushed a bit at all of the blonde girl's complements...then he drooped somewhat when she talked about all the mistakes he'd made during the battle.

"Uhh...Motome-chan? Maybe we should start heading back towards the classroom while we talk?" he interrupted tentatively. Assuming that she would follow him out, he held the door open for her and then followed her down the halls.

"Anyway, Yoshida's glad--I mean, I'm glad you're okay after all that." he added. "Kimoto-kun--the gas guy--took some nasty cuts, and I'm pretty sure Don-kun--the fat kid on my team--was planning to just completely collapse Point B, which sounds even more dangerous." His eyebrows wrinkled and he folded his arms. "I think Yoshida-sensei--no relation, by the way--took the whole "prove you deserve to be here" thing too far. Don't you?" He looked over at her expectantly. Maybe if L Guardian hadn't pushed them so hard, she wouldn't have felt so bad about using her own Quirk. But he had a feeling it was more deeply rooted than that--probably just the nature of her Quirk. She copied things, and people, and played their actions back like a movie. And she compared herself to this Haruka girl a lot; like he thought before, something must have happened in the past. It was probably too early to pry into that just yet...

Fumika shook her head slightly, tugging at the ends of her hair as if forcibly trying to pull her thoughts back to the present. Back to the classroom, he said? Oh, right. She’d been unconscious, so even though she had been thinking as if it had only been a few minutes since her battle - since her last attack was where her awareness of the passage of time had ended - it had probably been longer than that. Given that her energy levels had risen to the point where she’d been able to regain consciousness, it might have been more than an hour since the fight, which meant the exercise had likely long since ended. In that case, classes would have resumed…

“Oh. Right. We have other classes than just fighting,” The blonde murmured, placing a fist in her open palm as if she’d just had an earthshaking revelation. She stared quizzically at Kenichi for a moment as if re-evaluating him, and then gave a faint smile. “Yoshida is smart,” She said conclusively, and that was the end of that.

Following him out the door, she listened to his little summary of the battle with an unreadable expression on her face. If Sen had gotten hurt, then the plan to attack Point C had probably failed. And if the empty man had been able to bring down Point B, coupled with her own failure to protect point A… So, they’d lost on every single front. She’d given her everything to win the battle, but she hadn’t even been thinking about what to do after that. Her entire plan had fallen apart, and she’d let the entire team down after all by sending them all into traps and then failing to uphold her own goals. She hung her head in dismay. This was why she didn’t like thinking - it always came out all wrong, and now everyone would probably be mad at her. And what would the teachers think? Wouldn’t they blame her for her team’s failure? She’d not only dragged everyone down, but she hadn’t even passed the exercise herself. She’d let Haruka down too.

“If I’d done a little better…” She mumbled under her breath, her antenna drooping in gloom once again. But what more could she have done? Already, she was so tired she felt like she might just topple over. Her eyelids were still fluttering, demanding sleep, and she yawned loudly, her fatigue plainly obvious. She just wanted to find somewhere nice to lie down, with a warm, soft pillow… She’d had a nice pillow when she fell asleep last time, hadn’t she? Where had that come from, anyway? And what had happened to it? A pillow in the middle of a training ground? No matter how she looked at it, it didn’t really make sense.

...Yoshida was staring at her. Did he want something from her? He’d said something about the other Yoshida - the teacher - taking things too far, but she wasn’t really sure about that. Still, this Yoshida was nice, while that Yoshida was mean, so this one probably deserved a response of some kind. “The mean Yoshida seemed like he made everyone upset,” She affirmed sleepily, nodding slightly. Her head wobbled slightly at the motion, and she yawned again.

"Heh, you seem like you need to recharge, Motome-chan!" Kenichi grinned as the girl blinked and yawned. Then a thought seemed to occur to him and he held up a hand in an apologetic manner. "Sorry, you don't actually have to do that, do you? Plug your hair into a socket or something to actually recharge like a digital camera?" Truth be told, now that the adrenaline was wearing off he felt pretty drained too. He wondered if anyone else had made it back to class yet...Mamoru hadn't been in the nurses' room when he came to from the bug treatment, so maybe she had beaten them back. She better not have stolen his main character seat! But let's see...Kimoto, Lysander, Mamoru, himself, and Fumika. Five in all, not all that bad actually when you had around twenty kids in the class. And Alpha team had more losses, so chances were good that Delta would take the win. But if L Guardian tried to expel any of them...Kenichi reflexively clenched the fist hanging by his side.

"Maybe since this is the first real day and we already had that dumb orientation test, they'll call it after lunch and we can head back to our dorms." he said as they reached the classroom--once again he opened the door and held it for Fumika. "A test to get to the classrooms, and then an all-out team brawl right afterwards...Komei must be trying to outdo U.A. or something." He rubbed the back of his head as he walked towards his seat. "I just hope the other teachers aren't as sadistic as homeroom and the nurse."

In response to his questions, Fumika nodded, then shook her head, the tuft of hair on top of it first bobbing up and down, then wobbling side to side. Come to think of it, it seemed a lot less rigid than it had before, during their fight. Even when she'd been knocked around or sent flying, it had kept sticking straight up without a problem, but now it was flailing all over the place at the slightest movement. Given her lack of energy, it was likely that the electrical current running through her hair probably wasn't even outputting enough power to keep it sticking up - which was a problem, because that in turn meant that her bangs kept falling over her eyes any time she brought her head down, forcing her to fumble to try to push it back up into its usual place.

"I do recharge, but not like that. Although, it would be convenient if I could do that... But that would probably light my hair on fire. Or fry my brain. It would definitely delete my recordings, too. Plus I'm not sure if my hair could fit into an electrical socket. Overall, I just don't think it's possible." She stopped there, looking at him as if satisfied with her explanation, but he was still staring back at her expectantly... Had she forgotten to mention something? Oh, right. She hadn't actually said how she did recharge, just how she didn't. "I take lots of naps," She added with a yawn, leaving the matter at that as if this explained everything.

As Kenichi kept talking about the school, Fumika didn't comment, but simply seated herself at the desk next to his. It wasn't the same as the one she'd used that morning, but she didn't really think about the possibility that it might have belonged to someone else. To be honest, she hadn't even realized that the day's events were unusual. Since this was her first time in a Hero school, she didn't really have any precedent to determine whether or not what she was being asked to do was unreasonable. She'd thought that her fatigue and inability to keep up was a problem on her end, but...

"Is Yoshida tired too?" She wondered aloud. There wasn't any way, right? He was so fast and strong, and his stamina seemed limitless. Even after everything she'd done against him in their fight, he was up and about like this just an hour or so later, while she could barely keep on her feet. Of course he couldn't be exhausted too... right? But if he was... Then maybe this really was strange?

"I'm a little worn out, but--" Kenichi had to stop as his own jaw stretched. Yawns were contagious--and his own inhaled and exhaled so forcefully that all the window panes on the side of the classroom rattled in their frames. He blushed as he clamped his mouth shut and looked away.

"Sorry bout that. But mostly I'm hungry instead of sleepy." He looked at his fully repaired arm, flexing his fist open and closed. "My Quirk's a mutant type--the actual structure of my...respiratory..." he had to take a moment to make sure he was pronouncing the word correctly, "system is different. So even if I'm not doing my super-breath, my stamina's generally better. It's just that, this time, I had to use a trump card." He held up his fist in a manner reminiscent of everyone's favorite number one Hero. "The Jet Smash is the strongest move I got, but it's got some side effects."

He was already thinking about how to fix that, though...if his muscles were tearing, then he needed to build them up for more stability. If his bones were cracking, he needed to put small amounts of stress on them over time and supplement his diet. And to make his lungs more efficient, he needed to find some way to force them to work harder temporarily...maybe he should start wearing a facemask to school? But then he'd look even more like a delinquent...

Fumika gazed at Kenichi with an unreadable expression on her face, her sleepy eyes slowly widening and growing more focused as the glass began to rattle. He was really incredible, to have so much stamina left after such a hard battle. Of course, the fight had only really been hard from her own perspective, but she didn't really think of that. And even his yawns were powerful enough to shake the room! To think that there were other people as incredible as Haruka... She'd probably always known it, but to meet one so soon after entering Hero school... It was incredible, but also a little bit disheartening. After all, this was the sort of standard she'd be held to from now on, right...?

As he continued speaking, she attended to his every word like a child listening to an interesting story told. Indeed, this comparison was much more plainly obvious now that she was sitting down and looking at him on eye level, instead of peering down at him with that quizzical look of hers. And, as he went on to talk about his special move, striking a particularly heroic pose that was all too familiar to her, Fumika suddenly got the strangest sort of smile on her face. It was the smile of someone who's just been given a chance to shake hands with their favorite celebrity, the smile of someone given an autographed ball by a sports star, or the smile of a bystander witnessing the charisma and power of a hero firsthand. And yet, in that smile, there was something oddly telling, since even though she was the one who had pushed him to such an extent, she was still the one looking up to him in the end.

"You're so cool!" She said, her admiration obvious in her voice. Instead of her usual calm, stoic tone, she practically shouted these words, hopping halfway up from her chair before she evidently thought better of this decision and wobbled back down into a seated position. "You can do stuff like that and even if it hurts you it doesn't slow you down. And even your yawns are strong!" She sighed, glancing away somewhat awkwardly. She didn't normally do this, since it was already selfish of her to have started this conversation anyway. And even though she'd already apologized, she was still talking to him. Because, now that she'd thought about it, even when she'd been on the verge of losing, and even though she'd hurt him in the end... Even when he was her enemy, and even though her decisions had been the downfall of her team, he'd still said something like that.

"Your choice wasn't wrong."

She didn't know why he thought that way, or why he wasn't mad at her, or why he was still talking to her, or anything like that. But, being close to such an amazing person... She didn't dislike it. Even though she was slow and didn't really get what he was saying sometimes, he was always smiling at her, just like Haruka.

Maybe she was just tired, and wasn't thinking clearly, and so didn't consider the consequences. Or maybe she missed having an example to follow, having someone to look up to? Or maybe, she was just sick of being alone. But, all of sudden, she blurted out the last thing she had expected to say.

"Even though you're so cool, you still talk to me like I'm your friend." Her sudden words sounded almost... sad, which just seemed bizarre coming from someone as spacey and seemingly carefree as her. It really was the same way as it was back then. All of a sudden, swift as the spring wind, a new person had entered her life and shown her kindness. When that opportunity had presented itself on that day, she'd hesitated, but ultimately accepted. She hadn't been mistaken to do so. So... was it alright if she made another choice of her own today? But, expressing herself was so hard... She couldn't find any big words that would really do the trick, so she decided she'd keep things simple. Simple was best, right? Then there was no room for anything but the truth, no room for anything she couldn't understand or didn't know how to deal with.

"You're a nice person. I like you." Both of these things were true, but there had to be something more... Haruka had told her often about the way you were supposed to make friends, so, if she did something like that, would it really work? She drew back her head, trying in that moment to be as friendly as the person she'd admired most. "Umm..." She hesitated only a moment, stumbling over her words before the magic phrase Haruka had taught her burst forth.

"If it's alright with you, please be my friend!"

She bowed deeply, only for her forehead to collide violently with something hard. Oh. Right. She'd been sitting at a desk. She'd been too tired and too worked up to think about it, and so hadn't remembered that there was something beneath her, in spite of her perfect mental image of the location. Her hair drooped lifelessly as if in shame, and she gave a quiet whimper, rubbing her head but refusing to so much as raise it to look up. She'd messed it up... It was so simple and she'd still messed it up...!

Seeing her smile like that, for what he thought was the first real time since they'd met each other (and how was that for a first meeting, beating the hell out of one another?), Kenichi couldn't help but blush. It was like having your parents praise you for something that wasn't really that big a deal, but they wanted you to know how proud they were of you. But somehow, in his gut, he could feel something else coming. Motome-chan didn't seem the type to completely throw a switch or swing between moods. And sure enough, there she went being sad and gloomy again...but at least she wasn't beating up on herself this time, at least not out loud.

And then she said she liked him and he almost had a heart attack because he hadn't been prepared for that much Moe--then surprise turned into outright fear as she slammed her head into the desk hard enough to make Kenichi startle.

"M-m-Motome-chan?" Kenichi asked tentatively. The only answer was a whimper as her ahoge drooped, and they stood there for several awkward moments. Then Kenichi sighed, and reached out to playfully flick her hair-antennae with a finger.

"Hey, there's no need to ask. Of course we're friends!" he said, putting his hands on his hips. "And I'm glad you think I'm cool, cause I think the same about you. But...maybe I'm wrong, but I think you're still bein' down on yourself."

Kenichi had stopped smiling a couple of times since she'd met him, but it certainly seemed like his default state. This would be the first time she'd see him looking sad.

"We talked about Quirks already. Some are always gonna be stronger or better than others, but if ya ask me that's like...maybe twenty-five percent of bein' a Hero." He turned to look at the window. "You think I'm so strong, or that I just keep goin' through the pain like it's nothin', but..." He bit his lip. He didn't wanna berate her, but he wanted every word to have the right weight.

"We're born with our Quirks, even if they don't activate til later. Have you ever heard of someone who was strong because of the hair or eye color they were born with?" He looked back at her, and maybe, with the way her own eyes recorded so much, she could see the memory in his that burned so vividly every time he thought about the story he was about to tell her.

"When I was six years old, my dad traveled the world as a journalist. During a civil war, far away from Japan, he was...they attacked the convoy he was with, blew it up. Suicide bombers." Sadness was turning to anger, but his gritting teeth kept it in check. "My dad got hurt, bad. Barely made it home alive. That's when I decided I was gonna be a Hero--every kid wants to be a Hero, it's the ultimate kind of celebrity. But I wanted it."

He looked at his fists, forced them to unclench, and calmed himself.

"I'm fourteen now. Eight years ago, the day after that attack, I ran a mile in about four minutes." His hands fell back to his sides. "This morning, I did pushups, situps, squats, and jumping jacks, fifty each. Ran two miles, taking it easy, so probably six or seven minutes. That's what I call my daily--every day, even weekends, I get up and I do that. It's taken me eight years--you can't start off doing something literally every day, that's how you hurt yourself or overtrain--but I do that before anything else. This week, since school's started, I was gonna take it easy until I got used to the new routine. But after my daily, I typically do other stuff too. Right now I do three days of upper body, two for lower, but I change it up whenever I stop getting results." He started counting off things on his fingers.

"Curls, bench press, rows, overhead press, deadlifts. Burpees, windsprints, calf raises, jumprope, almost every damn thing I can find on the internet or in a guidebook. Sometimes to failure, sometimes counting reps and sets, sometimes max weight, sometimes just enough to feel like I'm doing work."

He looked at her again, and all the intense emotions seemed to have faded and he was back to a generally cheerful countenance, though not quite the wide-grin fool again yet.

"I probably am strong, to a lot of people. But it was eight years of work, and hurting, and crying. Just cause I had a convenient Quirk for physical stuff wasn't any help--in fact, because of my Quirk, I worked that much harder to make up for it, to go further beyond. And when I tried to get into UA, I learned that I could still push even further."

He pointed at Fumika, and this time he did smile. He took a cue from how she mimicked everything around her, and mimicked the same bright smile she had shown him.

"And you can too! It's not about your Quirk, it's not about comparin' yourself to other people all the time. All that matters is the work you put in, and I'm sure you've been putting in lots of effort of your own to this day! But just like All Might says, we've got to go even further beyond--Plus Ultra!"

As Yoshida began talking to her, Fumika slowly raised her head from where she'd slumped over the desk. Dismay turned to confusion, then to slight hope, and then to surprise and relief. They were already friends? When had that happened? Hadn't she hurt him? Just like Haruka, he was moving along so fast, it was all she could do to keep up. And the more he kept talking, the more her head spun. He wasn't strong because of his Quirk? All that power, all that she admired... If she put in the effort she could be like that, too? But then he started talking about attacks and things that sounded sad, and she didn't understand why. This was his reason for becoming a Hero, but didn't talking about things like that hurt him? But then he smiled again, as if it was all alright... She tried her hardest to understand, but so many of the things he talked about were unfamiliar to her, it was like hearing somebody speaking an unknown language. Even when he was finished, she had no idea what to say, or where to begin.

Start from the beginning. Address one problem at once. The last subject he'd spoken of that she'd understood... It was his reason for being there, why he was a Hero. In that case, she needed to start at square one, too. But... just thinking about that hurt... Her chest felt tight, and even when she didn't want to look, the image of Haruka on that day was still burned into her eyes...! Even though she was bleeding, even though her breath was coming in ragged gasps, even though she'd given up everything and still come back...! Why was she looking at her with that face?! Why was she smiling even when she was crying from the pain?

"I'm sorry. I should have been faster. But I made it... I made it on time."

Fumika found her hands clutching her throat. She tried to say something - anything - but suddenly, the air wouldn't come in or out. She thought for a split second that she was choking, that there was smoke all around her, but that couldn't be true. She was just tired, just dreaming, right? She lowered her hands and hung her head. She couldn't talk about it, couldn't think about it, couldn't help but see, didn't want to see anymore. This was the sort of thing that hurt too much, that was too sad. How had he talked about something like this so easily? Did he just not feel pain? She didn't understand it at all, couldn't understand no matter how hard she tried. He said he'd worked hard to get where he was, so she felt like it was insulting to him to think that it was just because of who he was. But, at the same time... In more ways than one, he was so much stronger than her that it hurt.

She threw up her hands and tugged on the ends of her hair, shaking her head wildly back and forth. She wouldn't think about it anymore. It couldn't be understood, and trying to understand it would only hurt. She couldn't start there, so she'd have to start somewhere else. Go back further. Then, what else had made sense? There had to be a starting point somewhere, so if she couldn't find it, she'd start by looking instead. Rather than becoming a Hero, what had she done to prepare to become a Hero? He'd worked so hard... what about her? What had she been doing? Running from place to place, sprinting until she dropped just to keep pace? Fighting hopeless fights in the hopes of getting a little closer to that person's strength? Recording anything, everything, that might be useful to her? It wasn't enough. If someone as strong as Yoshida had to work that hard, then didn't someone as weak as her have to work even harder? Then what was she supposed to do? That question would lead to her starting point.

Oh geez, he'd done it again, she was pulling her hair and shaking. Crap in a basket...maybe she thought he was implying that she hadn't put forth any real effort of her own or something, like telling somebody who had given it their absolute all that they weren't good enough. In a way...was that what he was telling her? He'd tried to think things through before he said them, but dammit he wasn't the greatest thinker...and talking about his dad always got him worked up. This was weird for him, being such an outgoing and high-energy type--talking to someone like Motome who seemed to hang onto every word and internalize it, analyze it. And he just sort of said things, assumed things about how she was feeling on the inside but the truth was he didn't know all that much about her. Maybe he'd gotten too heavy too fast, considering how they hadn't even known each other until...what, an hour ago? Less than that?

"Right now, it's not enough, then. ...So, if I work hard will I be strong too?"

No hesitation, no doubt. He put one hand over one of hers, gently, but stopping her from pulling at her hair so much. He looked at her seriously, just like he had before the second round of their battle.

"Absolutely." he answered her.

There it was. A simple answer, one which wasn't hard to understand. Fumika took a deep breath and smiled faintly. "Okay," She said, giving a slight nod as she seemed to relax. There wasn't anything ambiguous to worry about anymore, so she didn't have to think about possibilities that hurt her. "Then I'll work harder." If it wasn't enough the way things already were, then she'd have to do as he told her, to push her limits and go even further. Whether or not the day's training was normal or not, the fact of the matter was, she had been hard-pressed just to meet expectations. She'd managed to fight harder and do better than ever before, but it still wasn't good enough. Hearing Yoshida explain how he'd become so strong, it was obvious in hindsight that she herself had been the one to blame, that she'd been slacking off. Even if a person was born with incredible power, like Haruka, nothing was guaranteed. So, just like she'd copied Haruka's dream, she'd take what she could learn from Yoshida and apply it to herself. If he said that was how she could become strong, how she could be a better Hero for Haruka, then she'd do as he told her. This way, she didn't need to think about it, didn't need to make risky choices. The path of least resistance was open to her. This was, without a doubt, the right choice.

"Hmm," She mused aloud, murmuring to herself once again as she made a mental note not to forget what she'd learned, committing it to her perfect memory once and for all. "Yoshida is hard to understand, but he gives good advice."

"D'aw." Kenichi took his hand off hers and rubbed the back of his head with an embarrassed grin. "Thanks, Motome-chan!"

Donny Yang

"Oh. Right. Um... Give me a sec I uh..." Donny needed to think fast. Was he willing to risk revealing his true form to Acion, or his meat bag wearing nothing but his undergarments? Donny struggled to made a decision but decided that it was better to be seen as the kid who got stripped to his undergarments than the monster who inhabits a bag of flesh. Moving away from Acion, Donny crawled back out from the ground and spat his Meat Bag onto the ground. He slithered in from the main orifices, the mouth and the eyes, and filled the body up until he looked fairly normal. Donny created a crude skeletal body inside his Meat Bag and then spat out Mamoru's shield. Just in case Donny still needed it and also to cover his boxers. At least Donny still had his shoes.

Returning to Acion, Donny looked rather embarrassed. He'd be red-faced if he had the blood to show something like that. "So uh yeah... Point B's down... Please d-d-d-don't stare." Donny tried his best to hide himself behind Mamoru's shield. While it was certainly large, Donny was bigger. Even if he held the shield at the center of his body much of his chub could be seen on the side. His skin was also covered in dirt and grime since Donny had tossed his skin onto the ground. There were a few shallow scratches on his skin too, but nothing deep enough to reveal the writhing mass of black underneath. It helped make Donny look like he really did go tunneling underground. Even his glasses were scuffed and damaged. Fortunately they weren't prescription so Donny didn't worry about replacing them. "So... What should we do now? Are w-w-w-we the only ones left? Should we head to P-Point A?"

Reina Mori

with @Aerandir

Reina’s breathing had slowed considerably, her body occasionally shaking lightly from the pain and exhaustion. The noise of the approaching jeep caused her to look from the ground to the man who had stepped out. He looked almost... familiar, in some way. If he was at Komei, he was likely a pro hero, or at least a retired one. There was something more than that, though...

The girl spat out another mouth full of blood, no longer really caring about her previous train of thought. Somehow, despite all her injuries, it was her bit tongue that hurt the most. It stung more than the dozen of welts on her body, her numb left arm, the feather still lodged under her collarbone—all of it.

The man asked her to get in the vehicle, earning a sideways glance from her position on the floor. The was a second long pause, as though she was taken aback by the question somehow.

"I... I’ll make it there myself." As she spoke, she finally attempted to move again, finding herself able to struggle greatly to her knees, her body telling her to stay lying down. She took a second to catch her breath again, before climbing to her feet unsteadily.

The girl glanced towards the jeep, wiping blood and dirt off her cheek. She knew she looked like hell. That was fine. She could stand, with effort. The dizziness wasn’t enough to stop her. She couldn't hide how hard she was fighting, but it was still proof she was fine, in her mind.

Jett and the tall boy were in there, injured as she had seen them not too long before. She nodded towards them. "I want... them to get help... first," she said between heavy breaths to the man next to her, slouching forward from the tremendous effort of standing. There was no reason for her to delay their treatment. They were more important.

Jais had noticing something in the eye of the girl, else he would have just picked her up and carried her the Jeep. Of all his years of teaching he knew that look, This next moment would be important for her to grow. So he stood up as she did, watched her and listened as she admirably put Jett and Ezra first.

"Very noble of you miss Mori, you truly have a start at becoming a hero. However, we must make sure you make it to that point." He placed a hand on her shoulder, noticing her pull but did not pull away. "They will be fine, unless we continue to argue if you should get in the Jeep or not. So how bout we just get in the Jeep. They will be taken care of first, while you can rest. Deal?"

Reina looked as though she wanted to protest, but kept silent as the man continued to speak, eventually letting her shoulders slump a little as she sighed. He was right of course. She nodded as he assured her the other two would be nursed before her.

The girl followed the man to the vehicle, taking a deep breath as she focused on her quirk once again, this time to kill the natural pull. It was terribly uncomfortable, and far more difficult to hold steady than usual due to overuse, but she'd force herself to manage--she'd be right near Jett and the other boy. The last thing they needed while injured was to have to deal with her.

Jais stopped the girl before she got in, ”You take the front seat." With her injuries it would be the best not to squeeze her in. He opened the door for her. He moved to the back to sit on the back of the Jeep, just next to his grandson. Once in, the attendant turned the engine over and as fast as he could while not jarring the jeep as much as he could, sped off towards the infirmary.

ACION

Acion turned back to the voice after he was finished.

"Well your form is certainly less intimidating."

He sarcastically joked. I mean come on. There's only two guys here, or at least they knew it. What's wrong with appearing half-naked? The winged guy certainly didn't really get why they shouldn't. The six wings that he carried with for sixteen long years of his life was so bulky that sometimes he could just stay bare because of the enormous time it took to wear it in.

That aside, Acion took a few seconds to examine the battlefield condition. Of course now that he was more or less unable to fly properly, he would have to hear it from his teammates instead. So taking Donny's words as genuine, point B was Delta's? Maybe? Acion glanced at what's left of B himself. He was not very sure of it, but it was either Delta's control or neutral, though Acion highly favored the latter thoughts. Point C, as both of them saw it all too clearly, was Delta's. So now point A? Not clear at the moment whether it is Delta's or Alpha's control or neutral. The best bet in the current situation would be to send someone there to make it clear and maybe secure a domination victory for Delta.

But going there wasn't so simple. First of all, someone had to stay at C. Because if they just nonchalantly abandon it, there are chances that they will be playing tricks to sneak into the site and capture them. Well, from the looks of it, his classmates didn't appear to prefer using that cheap trick to win, but still, Acion could not believe in everyone. Secondly, who would be willing to head there now? Donny's tunnel might be a good detour, but it might be long, since its distances were pretty long. Acion could fly there much faster, but provided that he had full health, not with a damaged rib, strained wing muscles, a bleeding thigh and a face full of friction cuts and sand. But if he really did try, he could still make it. If his six wings all devoted to the task of lifting his body into the air, he might manage.

"I approve your plan" The winged boy voiced his thoughts exactly. "But only one of us should be heading there. One should stay here to secure a point, in case anyone attempts to retake it. You appear to be still strong enough, so can I trust that to you? I will try to fly there to see what is going on."

If he really could.

★ Toni Sparks ★

It was a strange feeling. Almost like being stretched out like a rubber band and being snapped to a new location. Toni like Jett before her kept her momentum, but the lack of support beneath her sent Toni plummeting to the ground. Scrambling around with her senses, Toni latched onto a distant structure and reeled herself him at a rapid pace to prevent her untimely pancaking to the ground. Her chest almost crushed itself against the metal scaffolding. Looking around she saw that she was now well and truly out of Point C and in the no-man’s-land between points. Panting while holding onto the scaffolding, Toni grinned wider and monologued to herself.

“I’ll get you next time Glitch…next time~!” laughing to herself and cartoonishly shaking her fist in the direction of Point C Toni climbed to her feet and took a deep breath. It was a trying feeling and she was admittedly uneasy on her feet with the sudden change of spatial awareness. Taking a deep breath, Toni gripped the structure and lowered herself as if rappelling by using an invisible rope. Feet firmly on the ground she walked towards Point C once more, no longer the villain to be thwarted but the hero to save the day Making a rough “V” shape of heavy metal objects when looked down on from above, Toni nestled herself in the crook of the letter and gripped what looked like a generator like an Olympic swimmer about to do the backstroke. With an explosive burst of strength and Quirk, Toni pushed off the generator and pulled on the objects ahead of her, launching herself like an arrow from a bow. As the “arch” of her shot lost out to gravity, Toni would drop a shard of metal and push on it, soon looking as if she were skimming above the ground like a stone on skipping on a lake. With one last push, Toni flew into the air, before coming down on the other side of a dirt hill and rolling to her feet. Brushing herself off, Toni looked around and saw the angel boy.

“Yo! Angel! Where’s the teleporter? He needs a good punching for what he did! I was once the villain, but now I, the great hero of justice, will have to put him in his place! Plus I'll embarrass the heck out of him.” picking up pieces of wreckage, Toni dragged the heavier ones to strategic locations in case Jett jumped her, acting under the assumption he was nearby.

Mina Vs Roy/ Training Conclusion

Ezra had Roy to watch Point B but he was extremely curious to head to point A to see what happened. Hoping Kenichi had pulled through for the team, at point C on the other hand everything seemed fine with Toni and Acion fighting against the opposing team, with Ezra on his way it would be an automatic win at point C. “Sorry Ezra” Roy said turning around and running towards point A. It wasn’t all that far from point B, also Roy was fairly good on energy since he only used one ability for a short time, the cloaked boy darted towards point A with haste, his cloak flying up with every stride he took.

Arriving at Point A, it looked as if a huge battle had took place. Roy came to a walk as he arrived, his shoes hitting the soil. “Well at least Kenichi fought to his fullest” The way the ground was, broken construction supplies, footprints on pillars. He spotted a blond girl perched on top of a stack of construction supplies, she was wearing extremely loose clothing. He walked towards her though he stopped a good distance away, “Looks like those clothes are a bit too big on you, how are you supposed to fight?” He said with a smirk.

Mina stood up. While her plan to sit there until victory was declared hadn’t exactly worked, she was admittedly starting to get bored. She leered at the cloaked boy. Him being taller was the main reason she wasn’t looking down her nose at him right now. ”Turn around and leave the point, or stay and I’ll happily give you a demonstration.”

Roy took off his cloak, his markings were glowing bright yellow, “Can't do that, my team would be mad at me” he said as his feet stayed planted to the soul. “Ladies get first move” he said with both his fists clenched and an excited grin. This girl had Moxie, a good opponent. “I'll give it all I got as long as you do!” He said watching her next move.

Mina took a karate stance, then rushed at Roy, thrusting her right palm out as if she was planning to hit his face, but before it made contact, she emitted a blinding flash of light right into his eyes, and followed it up with a savage leg sweep, flooring him. She wasted absolutely no time in grabbing his arm while he was still stunned and locking in a painful armbar. ”As you can see,” she mocked, ”I don’t have as much trouble fighting as you do seeing.”

The girl took a karate stance, Roy raised an eyebrow as she rushed at him, thrusting her palm at his face. Roy braced for impact but it was a feint all along, she emitted a blinding light, Roy winced. While he was distracted she made a sweep at his legs, the boy fell to the ground with a grin. She put him in an Arm bar quickly, and mocked him. His grin turned serious. She had him pinned. Or so she thought, with his versatility it wasn’t much to get out. Roy opened the hand the girl had on restraint and focused solar energy to the palm of it. A ball of yellow energy about the size of his palm formed and he shot it at her body to force her off, the attack was more so had a lot more impact rather than damage. As he shot the girl a couple feet away, stood up. “I may be in the general studies course but don’t mock me” He said clenching his newly freed hand, wary of the girls close combat experience.

The blast had taken Mina by surprise, and she’d been knocked back several feet, but she quickly regained her composure, put her hands out behind her to land on them, and then backflipped back to her feet. Say what you will about her attitude, her technique was amazing.

”Well, now I know you’re an emitter quirk just like me. You’ve shown me yours. Now I’ll show you mine.”

Mina hid both her hands behind her back, then pointed the index finger of her right hand at the ground and started to focus a beam of light into a laser as she talked. Roy was start to notice the ground smoking behind her.

”And for the record, I’m not mocking you because you’re in the support class. I’d be mocking anybody right now.”

As soon as she finished, she brought her finger from behind her, and a thin red laser that could have been taken straight from the film ‘Goldfinger’ started to snake its way across the ground towards him, scorching the earth as it did so.

The girl gathered herself rather quickly, she was quite athletic even moving in such baggy clothes, Roy smiled. She had some skill, she was in the main course though so it is to be expected, after figuring out Roy’s quirk she prepared for another move. Ray planted his feet firm. She began to fire it seemed like it was being emitted from her fingers, “Oh?” he said he held up his arm, it seemed like it was a beam of light. She can make her body glow as well as shoot beams of light, Roy put two and two together, braced holding both his hands out. His eyes changed from seagreen to bright yellow and his markings began glowing as well, Roy constructed a Riot shield. As long as it was light, Roy could reflect it, the light came close to burning his clothes but the bottom of his shield caught the beam of light and reflected it off towards a pillar.

Glowing, good at close combat, and ability to shoot laser beams were the 3 things Roy knew the girl was capable of. “You're pretty good but” he said as the beam hit she shield and reflected off, he took one long stride forward closing the gap, He leaned forward to gather some strength and swung his shield at the girl.

“You fight as if you have a chip on your shoulder”
Mina rolled back, getting to her feet once more. Okay, so he can also make things as well as shoot beams, and that shield deflected a laser. It clearly wasn’t an ordinary riot sheild Just what was his quirk? Could he make energy constructs? If that was the case, Mina was very outclassed quirkwise. He had both offensive and defensive bases covered very well, whereas Mina’s quirk was more of a supplementary factor in her offense and defense, which were primarily her body and brain. ”Well, growing up with a Hero mom, you learn a few tricks.” she shot back, before her eyes started to glow, shining light into his face, and she pointed her left hand at a crane, shining a beam off it’s metal frame and deflecting it to Roy’s left side, and doing the same with her right, using the metal claw of a digger. The only way for Roy to escape being dazzled would be to turn his back on her. That’s when she charged.

Roy dissipated the shield once, it shattered into light particles that disappeared in the wind, the girl flew back a couple feet before getting up quick once more. She took a moment to gather herself before coming back at him, her eyes flashing a Blinding light at Roy once again. “Argh” he grunted rubbing his eyes with his forearm. Because of this he was unable to see the other attacks the girl had been doing, instinctively he made another right shield to protect his front side completely unaware that the girl had bounced light off the construction equipment.

He felt a burning sensation on his left bicep and another on the right side of his hip, gradually the burning got worse as it touched his skin. He was unsure how she was hitting him from two different directions. Roy projected a small shield the size of his palm on his left bicep and once on the right size of his hip. Roy realized now she was taking him a bit more serious, “I don't remember any hero quite bending light like this” The way she used her quirk it moved was like second nature, despite being in extremely baggy clothes. Roy grinned, “You’re talented..No a hard worker” he said and it was true, the only reason he was standing a chance right now was because of his quirk. If it wasn't for his versatile ability he would have been downed by the Arm bar she had performed. Roy picked the right shield up and slammed it into the ground, Spikes began protruding from the riot shield, in an attempt to make her redirect her frontal assault. Having 4 constructs up was beginning to strain his body and drain his energy faster.

Emitting light of this intensity for this long, and all the lasers she had made under Point B, as well as glowing non-stop down there, were also starting to take their toll on Mina. She was sweating, and her breath had become gasps. Her effort to make him turn round had failed. She had to think, now. How did his quirk work? When that shield dissipated, it looked more like light than energy. So he could make light constructs? That would take up a lot of power. Mina knew that just trying to make lasers is exhausting enough. Solid objects would need more energy than the body can store chemically….His markings! He charged up from the sun like a solar panel! That must be what they were for! So, if that’s the case, why did he wear a cloak? Unless...

Mina hoped she was right about this train of logic. It was not deductive reasoning, more inductive. Though, that type of logic never failed Sherlock Holmes. If it failed, she had lost, but she would lose if she didn’t try it. And even if it worked, it was then a matter of ‘would he get too full before she gets too empty?’

She stopped reflecting the concentrated light from her eyes and hands, then spread her body out like an angel and just focused on glowing as blindingly bright as she possibly could.

Roy kept on holding his shield, his energy storage dropping rapidly at the use of constructs, he held at least 30 seconds waiting for the girls to attack. Soon his shields begin dissipating one by one, the spikes fading, following the small shields, ending with the man one. Roy kneeled as his Solar supply reached 15% Capacity, the markings on his body beginning to flicker. He opened his eyes slowly to see if Mina was anywhere but was blinding once again, this was being the worst of them all as he could still see faint glimpses even after he closed his eyes. It didn't seem like an exercise anymore, it felt like she was just trying to make the boy go blind. Roy pushed off the ground with his hands to get back on his feet. He was covering his eyes with his arms still facing her, “Let's end this alright."

Roy closed his eyes tightly and pushed both his hands out, soon a small ball of yellow energy formed gradually getting bigger reaching the size of his hand. It contained his remaining energy, this attack was much more different from his first energy blast as solar energy is much more compact, capable of giving 1st degree burns with its current amount of energy. He shot the blast, his hands flying up from the recoil.

Mina’s eyes widened at this. As far as she knew, he was using her power against her! No. No, if that was the case, he wouldn’t be talking like this was his last ditch effort. No, this was the last of his power. Maybe he couldn’t charge from her light, only from sunlight. She could win! As soon as she fired that ball, she gave one last flash, outlining the shape of her body into his eyes through his eyelids so that he thought he could see where she was. Meanwhile, she died her light down completely and took a large step to the right, crouching as she landed so that she made as little noise as possible. When the ball flew past her, straight into the area the lingering light made it look like she was, she silently crouch-ran right up to him, stood up, and as soon as he risked opening his eyes, delivered a roundhouse kick to the side of his face.

Roy heard the blast hit something in the distance, did he get her? His eyelids were closed but he saw a bright flash of light, he expended his solar energy. Though he never is really completely out when exposed to the sun. He peeked to see but saw nothing but a leg fly across his head, knocking him off his feet and tumbling across the ground a couple feet. He attempted to gather himself but he was way to dizzy from the assault to his head, he clawed the ground struggling to recover but he was unable too. “Damm...It” he said as he laid down on the ground, out cold. Defeat was like a knife running through him,it was a reminder of the hospital he used to be in. His markings were glowing still passively pulling in solar energy.

Mina, out of breath and at her own limit, wasn’t going to risk a round 2. She grabbed Roy’s cloak, and draped it over him, covering his markings from the sun, then sat back down on the metal beam and watched Roy carefully, waiting for time to be called. As long as there was no round 2 with Roy, she’d win the point for her team.

Yoshida Sensei watched as the final battle ended, he saw the time off to the side of the display winding down. 3..2..1..0, it let out a small ring, L Guardian walked towards the control console past the Man sitting in the chair. He pressed a button, “The battle exercise is now over, any injuries will be treated at the nurse, as for everyone else. Staff will be on their way to retrieve you all, we will review the results in class” Yoshida turned towards the man, “Care to take a ride?”

The man smiled and returned, “Why not”

Both Yoshida and the man headed towards A first, getting there in only a couple minutes,Akihito got out the car while the man stayed inside and walked over to Roy, he had a foot mark on the side of his head. “Pitiful” he picked him up and placed him in the back seat, he was just out cold nothing fatal. “As for you” He said turning to Mina, “you have won point A for your team. Good job, I’ll give you a ride back” He said as he walked back to the car. This was probably one of the nicest things he has said all day.

Mina nodded in response to the thanks, wearing clothes that were too big for her and sporting cuts, bruises and lots of dirt. Once she was in the car, she spoke up. “He wasn’t really pitiful. That was the closest fight I’ve had today. He almost won.” Yes, she was defending him, because she knew he was on the support class, and she also knew that he belonged in the Hero class with skills like that.

Yoshida sensei ignored what the girl was saying and kept on driving.

The man in the front seat turned around and spoke to the girl, he had gray hair, amber eyes, and a moustache and beard to go with it. “Yes indeed, he has potential I approve this transfer towards the hero class, I apologize for Akihito’s rudeness he has always been like this. Since he was a student of mine” The man said chuckling.

They reached the entrance point Echo really soon, dropping of the man and the students. “If you are fine and don’t need any medical assistance you go ahead and change back into your uniform and head to class, Shower if you want.” He said as he reached into the car.

“I’ll carry the lad, give me a little bit of an exercise” The two orbs appeared and floated around the man, one being purple and another one being black. The Principle picked the boy up by his body and threw him out the car, but before he would hit the ground he began to float, gravity having no effect. “Also, if you don’t know Miss Kasuke, I am your principal. The Gravity Yarl” He said as the black orb came into play pulling the boy along, while the purple orb negated Gravity.
The way he used it was effortlessly, as if it was breathing to him. The principal made his way to the nurses office, Pulling Roy with him.

Yoshida turned the car around and headed for C to get the remaining students, he used his device to see that only 3 remained that he had to pick up, he made haste using the outer ring of the arena quickly rolling up on the group at C. The first thing he noticed was Donny….err half naked, he pretending like he wasn’t there looking straight at Acion. “Hop in” He said beckoning his head to the 3.

Jais Hisakawa Kiwi

Nurses office...

Once they reached the entrance to the infirmary, Jais immediately jumped off the back of the jeep and Carefully lifted Jett out. Nodding to Elvira she did a good job and hurried him into the building.

“Nurse Kiwi!” He called out, a bit on the worried side. “Nurse Kiwi! I need your help right away, Jett suffered some multiple heavy blows to the head.” Remembering he had also bashed his head against the window of the truck he was driving. Making that at lease three big blows including his last fight.

Laying him down on a bed he took a step back, finally really looking at all of the lacerations on his upper body, where shrap metal was probably still stuck in. His skull had started to bleed through the gauze bandage they had put on before they left the battleground. His face looked swollen now.

He knew he was going to be ok, but the grandfather part of him was worried still. Kiwi was an amazing nurse. But still he couldn't help himself.

Kiwi turned as Jais entered the room, “Must you be so loud!” she barked at him. Kiwi took a look at him and began preparing to heal the boy. Jesus christ Akihito, these kids are so young She placed her arms over the boy’s body , her pores opening wide as bugs began to pour out and onto the boys body. First thing she wanted to do was take out any metal. She had a small empty bin off to the side to place things in. Small termite like ants burrowed into his skin to pull out the metal. These bugs were especially useful for getting deep into the skin without the need of incisions, any metal they found they placed it on Jetts skin for the nurse to pick up. The bugs acquired quite a bit of metal. While the smaller bugs worked on the metal, she unwrapped the bandage on the boys head and used mosquitoes to stop the bleeding as well as prevent clotting. His face was quite swollen so she released her ‘blood beatles’ to reduce the swelling. At this point Jetts upper body was swarmed with bugs.

Once all the metal was out the bugs small bugs re-entered the wound and began spitting a paste onto the boy's wound. The paste sped up the healing process much much faster, it was a steroid for the cells almost. Jett was already beginning to look better, his lacerations beginning to fade as the bugs migrated locations. It also seemed like he had a small fracture on his skull as well. “Oh dear” Kiwi focused the bugs towards his head, the termite like bugs once again entered the wound though this time they began eating any small fragments, mixing it with their paste and spitting it back out onto the boy's skull, patching up the fracture and making it good as new. The mosquitoes cleaned any blood on the boys face and body while the blood beatles completely reduced the swelling. “Alright he should be fine now” She said as the bugs went back into her skin. (done)

“Oh dear?!?” Jais repeated. It was never a good sign when a nurse said that. “What's oh dear?” Even though she said he was fine he wanted to know.

By this time Ezra was laid down on a bed next to Jett, while Reina was guided to the opposite side. He

“Oh nothing, it seemed that he had a fractured skull but it's all patched up...Just make sure you keep an eye on the boy ”

Jais nodded and sighed… that wasn't a good sign either… but if Kiwi says he is ok then… he shouldn't worry… until his mother finds out what happened. Kiwi might have to make a house call and patch him up. He shivered at the thought as he stood by Jett's bed.

Soon Jett stirred. Jais was surprised on how quickly the boy recovered after being treated. Kiwi certainly was a Miracle worker.

Jett eyes slowly opened. The bright Fluorescent lights blinded him as he opened his eyes. His vision was blurry for a few seconds as it took a bit to re-adjust. To see his grandfather standing above him. (Done)

The principal opened the door, “Good morning all” He said with a bright smile, quite ironically since students there were unconscious and injured while the grownups were worried, Roy came in floating behind him. He placed the boy in a bed using his quirk, “Hello Kiwi, Jais”

Jais looked over to the principal and nodded. “ Good morning, Hisakawa.” Now more relaxed that Jett is awake.

“I feel we might have a class of a bit too enthusiastic students on our hands this year…” he said sighing as he looked at everyone in the infirmary.”
(Done)

“Just what the doctor ordered! remember our generation?” He said chuckling, “The era right now are so stiff, this group of kids have grit” shaking his fist excitedly, “Though having to show them on the first day of school may have been a bit much” as he took a look around the room. “Don’t worry Jais, at least we can do these kinds of things now since we have Kiwi” he said with a worryless smile.

Jais nodded slightly. Hisakawa did have a point about the their generation. They took even bigger risks and did not always had the care that Kiwi provided. He still had many scars from “trainings”.

Jais looked to the boy named Roy. If he remembered correctly his last location was running to Alpha point. Where Mina was. Impressed, but not surprised at the outcome. “We may have Kiwi… but what happens when my daughter inlaw finds out what happened to Jett? I don't think even she could save me from that wrath.”

Jett at this point sat up on his bed, holding his head. Something felt… off but it could be th fact that a bloody brute head butted him.

“You should be fine, the lad looks alright, all his bruises are healed up just fine” signaling his hands toward Jett.

“You don't know his mother. He may be fine now. But the fact it happened…” he looked back to his grandson as hisakawa motioned towards him.

“Don’t be such a baby Jais, my great Niece hasn’t even been healed yet and you don’t see me getting worked up” He said pointing at Reina.

The girl, sitting quietly in a chair, simply glanced away with a light blush.

Jais looked over to Reina then back to Hisakawa. A surprised look on his face. He should have known. Two people having Such a similar quirk like that, they were bound to be related.

“Then call me overprotective.” He said with a small smile. He was, his family meant everything to him. But still, getting a fractured skull was a bit on the extreme and he was right to be worried for Jais.

“He’ll be alright, I have full faith in Kiwi’s ability” placing his hand on the man's shoulder as he talked. “A little roughing up will be good, we didn’t get to the top through the golden spoon.”and it was true, both of the old man’s had quite a story to tell. They both clawed their way out of hell. “The Great Frenchman...afraid” The man said as he shook his head.

Jais nodded. He actually agreed with Hisakawa, hero's back in their day had a certain edge to them that they gained through experience. None of them ever attended a school for heroes like these kids did. Their training was on the Job. “ I totally agree that roughing them up is good for them. And I also have faith in Kiwis ability, If you Adriane… you would be too.

“Don’t worry, the Komei Academy principal is right behind you”. The principal took a seat in a chair and gave Jais a thumbs up. He realized something was off, “Kiwi where is your office chair?”

Dulga Tarata

Shuffling to class was a tall, cloaked girl. School security was tough, and not entirely perfect. When some students saw a tall figure wearing a mask and cloak they came to investigate and apprehended the target. And that's why Dulga was late for class: Despite having an ID card and proving her identity, she was detained by school security as they debated what to do with her. She technically wasn't breaking any school rules, however they did think that her cloak and mask weren't proper uniform. While many students had their uniforms altered to accommodate their Quirks (Dulga's own was almost completely backless to fit her arms), they weren't sure if she should be allowed to wear her cloak and mask. However in the end they allowed it so long as she keeps her student ID visible at all times, which meant that she had it hanging out on front of her chest.

Unfortunately the delay was long enough for Dulga to get to class and find no one inside. Seemed like everyone went ahead of her. "Oh no... The teacher isn't going to be happy with me..." Dulga said quietly. She wasn't really sure what else to do or who to report her tardiness to. At least she had a slip saying that she was at the security office and not playing hooky. So Dulga looked for a seat and sat down, just waiting for class to return. She took out her phone and browsed the web for a bit, reading news and looking up local rumors, before returning to sitting in silence. "I'm kinda sleepy." Dulga didn't sleep well last night. She was too excited about starting school today, so excited that she moved from her room to the living room. She meant to just drink some water and come back but she fell asleep on the couch. And because she fell asleep on the couch, she missed her alarm and woke up late. She rushed so much that by the time she got to school there wasn't even anyone to greet her. She thought she'd make it until the school security detained her and... Now she's here.

Sitting up Dulga looked around the room and herself. She wore the school's uniform which came with a skirt. She wasn't used to skirts; dresses sure, but not skirts. They felt too light and always about to fall off. She wore black tights underneath so she wasn't too embarrassed about wearing them, but she still didn't like it. It made her look too girly. When she was living with her parents they taught her to dressed practically, if unflattering. A lot of kids in middle school thought that Dulga dressed like a guy. Now Dulga was feeling stressed out, and she hasn't even met anyone yet! "I could really go for a pickle right now." There was only one thing left for Dulga to do. Standing up and stretching her body, she played some music on her phone and started pacing around. She needed to get a rhythm first before she did her thing. Dulga swayed her hips back and forth as her hands started cutting through the air, letting the beats of her song carry her movements. Even as her movements became more wild, she slide between the desks and chairs like a breeze. Dancing allowed Dulga to focus her mind on the music and not on her woes. Though she did make sure to keep and listening ear if she heard students starting to come down the hall. She didn't want them to see this.

ACION

Shortly afterwards, Acion noticed a pretty girl with blonde hair speeding towards him on a piece of metal, making a final jump to finally land next to him.

“Yo! Angel! Where’s the teleporter? He needs a good punching for what he did! I was once the villain, but now I, the great hero of justice, will have to put him in his place! Plus I'll embarrass the heck out of him.”

She said with an impression of confidence, and a mild trace of cunningness in her last sentence. But perhaps the thing that Acion preferred in her was him being addressed as an angel. Not sure whether she was joking or not, but that certainly was more pleasing than being called birdy by that stupid blonde. Seriously, what kind of bird has six wings? Fool...

"You're too late. He's already been given a proper beating for his arrogance. The guy has already been carried away from this training ground. Maybe next time, hero of justice."

He replied, in his usual manner: confidence and idealistic. Shortly after, the voice of Akihito, or L Guardian, echoed from his earpiece, announcing that the battle simulation was over. Or rather, the chaos was over...Not long after the announcement, another jeep came in from sight, in order to pick up the remaining three combatants at this point.

Acion took a careful step into the jeep, being careful not to lose balance or cause anymore pain due to his unsteady right leg and damaged ribs. Taking the most spacious seat, he slowly wrapped his six wings around him, exposing only his upper torso and head. Well, no going back to class now...not with this pain rampaging inside his chest. A visit to the nurse office was fine by him, since the teacher did provide them a bit of time to tend the injuries, but the most concerning problem was the nurse. He did make a slip through her skins back before class began, so it was a little daunting to face her one on one with that huge syringe. Hopefully, that wouldn't be the case.

As soon as the jeep reached the entrance of the training ground, the winged boy, again, took careful step in order not to fracture anymore bones or open any blood veins inside his body. Getting hurt in a non-combatant situation would be unnecessary. He walked slowly to a school block, where the nurse office was located. Opening the door leading to the infirmary, his earlier hope was utterly crushed when...

"Fate has harmed me..."

The nurse was in there.

'Well, no use in trying to run around.'

If she was the only nurse and doctor around here, he would have a long history with her from now on. So it's better to face his dauntingness right here, right now.

Kiwi

While the principal and Jais bickered between one another, Kiwi worked on the next student. Ezra, who seemed to have suffered a serious head injury as well as various bodily blow though he seemed to be better off than Jett. Kiwi raised her arms and her pores opened up once again, the bugs poured out. The smaller ant like bugs and mosquitoes working together to clean up blood, reduce swelling, and repair tissue on the boys body before working on his head. The head was one of the two more important parts of the body to focus on when there is injury, the heart is another one. Once his body was clean of any injuries the bugs crawled the side of his head towards his head, the mosquitoes stopping any bleeding and preventing clotting while the the ant like bugs began patching up the tissue with their special paste, Kiwi's face was serious as she worked despite the background noise. Soon any head injury to the boys head was no longer visible, he was in a better condition than Jett because of his stronger constitution, the boy should come too anytime now. The bugs flowed back onto Kiwis arms as she prepared to assist the next patient.

"Mr.Yasunari, Please I am trying to work can you keep it down? and you owe me a new one, because of your little idea one of the students stole my chair." She said folding her arms. "Alright miss little Neice you are next" Reina seemed to be the only one who came in here that was in walking condition surprisingly, "How can I help you?" Kiwi said, the bugs crawling all throughout her arms. She turned as another student came in, "Take a seat, I will be right with you" She said with a sadistic smile.

Roy Kusayanagi

Roy had been wrapped up nicely in his cloak sleeping like a kid, he had a smudge of dirt on his left cheek from when he passed out on the floor, the kick was hard but he was starting to come through as he warmed up by the window. He wiggled a bit in the bed before squinting his eyes hard and opening them, springing up from the bed quickly. It wasn't a really good idea, his head started pounding immediately. He cleanched his head"aaghh". That girl really had some kick, he looked around his surroundings seeing familiar faces, the orb girl from point C, Acion seemed to have just arrived, Ezra...boy is he going to be pissed when he finds out what happened when he left. Even the boy who was fighting Toni was there in the room, Roy smiled and chuckled a bit. "Looks like everyone got hurt huh", he began rubbing his head. He looked over at Kiwi breifly seeing a bunch of bugs crawling over her arm, the boy quickly snapped his head in another direction, not trying make any eye contact with the woman. He turned towards Reina who was peacfully waiting her turn despite being in pretty bad shape, was..that a feather lodged into her collarbone. "Your pretty tough to just be sitting there peacefully despite being in bad shape."Meanwhile, Roy was sleeping like a baby from two burns and a hit to the head.

"Im Roy Kusayanagi, I don't believe we have properly met" he said sincerely, he noticed this time that he didn't feel any gravitational attraction to the girl. Interesting.

Tanaka Kagura, Jais Haven

Jais sighed as he heard the bell for the end of the school day on Friday rang. He grateful that the long day had come to an end, with no grading left for him later that day. He turned to his class as they were all getting up and cleaning up their places to leave. “Just remember class, Monday I expect you all to come up with codenames and be ready to share them with everyone. As well, don’t forget to grab your envelopes with your test scores for you parents as you leave. You don’t want me showing up on your doorstep on a weekend do you?”

As they all nodded and some came and grabbed them before they forgot, Jais sat back down at his desk and began filling his satchel, ready to go home to his wife and son. A few students came up and started asking some questions on their test scores and what they did wrong, only to have him say “You have time to think it over the weekend, after you figure it out, let me know.” He said with a smile...which only received groans in response.

Several girls in the class, who always left in the same group of five, gossiping all the way, got up to leave, but one of them said she’d catch up, and left the other four to leave without her. Her name was Tanaka Kagura, a first year who’s quirk was to make herself slightly more attractive. This naturally didn’t lend itself to U.A, and her grades had been slipping. She approached Jais when the rest of the crowd had gone. She wasn’t her usual, chatty, smiling self.

“Hey, teach. I’ve, uh, been thinking about quitting.”

Jais stopped what he was doing, letting a disappointed sigh come from his lips. Standing up he walked to the door of the classroom, and closed it just enough to give them more privacy, while not enough to be inappropriate. Making his way back to his desk, he leaned on the front of his desk and motioned to the desk directly in front of him. “Kagura…. Please sit down.” He said in a warm deep voice.

He sat there… for what seemed like a minute, staring at the wall behind her with his usual thousand mile gaze. “Why is that, Kagura?” He knew fully well. He saw her scores...both the written and physical. She was one of the lowest scoring students in the academy...She was also a handful in class. But he wanted to hear it in her own words, as they revealed her thoughts and where he needed to focus on.

Kagura sat down, crossing her legs and leaning back in the chair out of habit, before giving it up and sitting forward with two feet on the floor. “Well, I can’t say I don’t like it here. In fact, I love it! This is living my dream; to become a Hero. But...I’m just not good at it. I’m last in everything, and I’m finding the written work too hard. My quirk doesn’t help me in any of the exercises. It’s almost useless. I just want to quit now on my own terms before I get kicked out. I don’t think I could take that...”

He listened, arms folded as she expressed her reasoning. While it was true what she said, he didn't find her quirk worthless, he had seen the potential in it if she worked hard on it, hence why she was still here despite her scores. If she had no potential he would have let her go a long time ago, she might not even made it passed the entrance exam if he didn't vouch for her… not that she knew that.

“You won't make a very good hero if you give up during tough times. That's what a hero is really known for. Pushing through an obstacle or trail when no one else will. “ he said softly. Looking directly at her despite his eyes not seeing her.

“Why did you want to be a hero? Why did you think you can make it as a hero? With your ‘useless quirk’ ” He asked using air quotes, not to sound mean

Kagura shugged. “It wasn’t a matter of whether I thought I could do it or not. It was my dream, and I just wanted to fight for it with everything I had. But I don’t think that’s enough anymore. How can I keep my grades from slipping further? Everyone else is just getting better and better at using their quirks to raise the bar in exercises, and I’m getting left further and further behind. Even if I can now run an hour without stopping, and I can finish an assault course, albeit last...for every positive step I make, the bare minimum to not fail also takes a step forward…”

He was silent for a moment, trying to figure out the best thing to say to Kagura. He leaned back trying to figure out the best way to word it. “You will not be a hero… in the sense of fighting. Unless you really put your mind to it. But that's not what will complement your quirk the most I think. He looked to the door, thinking of the other students and how she interacted with them. Despite your scores and rowdiness in the classroom.” Smiling a little bit thinking of all the trouble she started in class.

He continued “I have seen you proud, strong willed, persuasive. With the ability to light up a room when you walk in. That's some traits that most of your fellow students don't possess. You need to stop comparing yourself to them. As you are your own person, you have strengths they don't…work with those strengths you do have, and become a different kind of hero.”

“But...how would I get my grades up by being a different kind of hero? Winning fights by making my enemy fancy me?” Kagura whined, scratching her head.

Jais bobbed his head right to left as he bounced her suggestion around in it. Making a thoughtful frown as his head began to nod. “With you it's possible. There was many times in history where women started and stopped wars because the man they convinced fancied them greatly.” He look down at her and added.” With your quirk it may be possible that you make your opponent believe you are so beautiful they lose the will to fight you. But until then we can do extra Sessions if you like to spar and extra lessons.”

“This won't work if you give up on yourself… you are here because someone believed you can make a great hero one day. You just have to believe in yourself.” He added finally.

Kagura nodded. “Alright, I won’t give up. I’ll work hard to get my grades up, and learning how to fight would definitely have to, but what you have in mind; me winning fights and exercises with my quirk, I might not even have to. Still, I think it would be a good idea.”

Jais nodded, “It’s just to help you get through till we iron out out your quirk.” he added quickly to her comment before she continued.

She shook her head, chuckling. “Still hard to imagine using my quirk to make opponents give up by seducing them. Although...I have an idea for a codename now.”

He chuckled “I agree, it is hard to see. “ He said in jest before asking. “Oh? And before the weekend? Please do tell.” He said with a smile.

Kagura left the chair, picked up the envelope with her test score, and headed to the door. Before she went through it, she turned, smirked and replied with the single word; “Seductress.” She seemed like such a charming and spirited girl at that moment, that Jais wouldn’t have been able to tell if she was using her quirk on him or not, though it was clear that with that attitude, she’d be able to make the plan work.

Jais smiled even more when he saw the normal Kagura come back. He didn’t have to even go into all he had planned to say, She took to the idea like fire to dry grass. That same fire that he saw when she first arrived. He knew she would become a great hero now. Because he too had that fire when he received his sight. “A bit on the nose. But fitting.” He said, his smile still wide.

Once Kagura had left the classroom, she wasted no time in opening the envelope, and reading her score. 65%! Not great but nowhere near failing, as her recent test scores had been. If she kept this up, she might even get good scores! No, she had made up her mind to stay now. She could do it.

Jais took in the sounds of the city as he and his new sidekick walked through the city. He looked over at Kagura with his mind's eye, his head staying forward, a sense of pride overcame him. She had kept her promise and become one of the top students of her class. She had come so far from that day she almost quit in his class. His pride was not of his work to help prepare her, but her own strength to overcome her own doubts and fears and finding out her true self.

A bead of sweat came off his temple as he thought. She should have thought up a less revealing costume. It's very… distracting. But it was the point to her persona of her hero name Seductress. People had begun to talk as the The Frenchman, one of the most polite and respectful heros took her as a sidekick.

He tried to push the thought from his head as he straightened his shoulders and turned to her, “How are you feeling? Nervous?Excited?” He knew she had some battles under her belt now, but still being out and looking for the real thing was a different monster in itself.

Kagura glanced back at him. Her body language right now was carefree. She didn’t care to act like a ‘seductress’ every second she was on patrol. “I’m excited. I thought I’d be nervous but I guess after my internship, the real world doesn’t seem so scary.”

He nodded. “Good. I do have to say how proud I am of you. You've grown up into a fine woman. I knew right when I saw you that first day of school you would be an amazing hero. Though not like I expected.” He chuckled

“Oh? And what did you expect? A girl who’s only quirk is to increase her own sexual attractiveness to become ‘Special K, the gadget-laden parkour hero’? I’m doing what all heroes do; use their quirk to help make the world safer. Heroes only differ in gimmick because their quirks differ,” Kagura answered back, sharp tongued as ever, as she stretched her arms while they patrolled, and yawned.

“Ok, I did see it I guess, but I am still surprised at the final product… in a good way.” He grabbed Kagura by her waist and pulled her towards the building when he suddenly saw a man diving towards them in his mind's eye, the man was silent himself, but with the noise of the city bouncing over everything he saw him clearly. Just moments after he pulled Kagura from where they were walking, the sidewalk exploded as the man landed, Jais had used his body to cover Kagura from the rubble that had flew up. Pelting his back, but thankfully the force of the explosion had pulverized most of the concrete.

Before the smoke cleared “Your time as a hero has ended, Frenchman! It's time for Forced retirement!” As the smoke cleared, it would reveal a midget. Laughing evilly.

Kagura raised her eyebrow when she saw the midget. He didn’t look like he could be taken seriously, but he had just demolished concrete, so he was clearly more dangerous than he appeared. She leaned in and whispered to Jais. “Shall I let you handle this, or do you want me to?”

Jais was a little surprised himself, the midget wasn't wearing any costume. Just a coverall, like a mechanic would wear. He heard Kagura, and shrugged. “Sure…. If you want to try it.”

The midget went on a monologue explaining he was the Cannonball. Or something like that. He started to walk towards them and as he did small explosions erupted from his feet as he did. He noticed Kagura and said “HEY HEY HEY BABY. Are you the new sidekick The Frenchman has taken a liking to? You definitely live up to your name” he said as he winked at her. “Shame on you Frenchman… I'm sure she's more than a sidekick to you if youknowwhatimean” “

Kagura inwardly rolled her eyes, but Seductress outwardly smiled, and turned up her quirk as she crouched to the Cannonball’s level. “You flatter me, but I am nothing more than a sidekick, I assure you.” She felt she had to make sure people heard that. She didn’t mind people getting the wrong ideas about her moral fiber. It added to her persona. But attacking Jais’ moral fiber? That, she could not allow.

“Yeah! Whatever! No way he would have a babe like you and not wanna….” he stopped as he started to feel a strange sensation come over him. seductress though already a drop dread babe, cannonball could swear she was getting hotter by the second. Those long legs, that hourglass body, her face. Which he swore was sparkling… and that chest!

Cannonballs head seemed to go bright red as he stared at her. He shook his head he had to ignore this…. he had to beat the Frenchman! Closing his eyes he tried to focus. But the sound of her voice echoed in his head once again. He couldn't help himself from saying “well…” he poked his fingers together as his face blushed and he looked down.”if you say so miss seductress.“

Kagura, to this day, still found using her quirk embarrassing, but this moment, when a supervillain is putty in your hands, that power...feels good. Even if the moment is fleeting and she knew from experience that the embarrassment bleeds back in even stronger once the arrest is made, and a crowd of people had just seen you do that.

Seductress placed a gloved finger under the Cannonball’s chin with her right hand while her left reached behind her to unhook the metal handcuffs from her belt. She lifted the villain’s face back up so they were once again staring eye to eye. “I do say so,” she purred, and parted her lips slightly, making them look extremely kissable to anyone in range of her quirk, even civilians. Her quirk had a lesser effect on Jais because of his blindness, but even so, he was keeping his distance right now.

Cannonball, his eyes wide and filled with stars as she said she did say so, everything seemed to fade away as just the Seductress was the only thing on his mind, was he actually going to get a kiss from this goddess? She seemed to be moving in closer for the kiss while it was really was him leaning in.

While this happened Jais had moved away, while he was blind, he could still someone see with his quirk, but her voice would affect him the most. While she never convinced him of anything, he always felt uncomfortable.

He watched as this little man became putty in her hands… as he seen countless times before. But it still floored him. He knew she would be a great hero, but to this degree was insane.

It was one of the most awkward ones he saw as well. Especially when the poor chap overloaded from the quirk and fainted. Falling backwards onto his back and creating another small explosion from the fall.

Seductress toned her quirk back down to normal, and turned the midget over before cuffing his hands. Another villain defeated. She picked him up, and then turned to Jais. “So...what do we do with him now?” she whispered sheepishly. It seems there were still some things for her to learn.

Jais raised an eyebrow as she asked. “Aside from a cold shower? We will have to take him to the closest lockup as his quirk is to dangerous for a normal peace officer to handle in case he wakes up. give our statements and continue.”

He reached down and picked up the midget by the back of his coveralls. Before Saying “excellent work.” His free hand raised and rested on her head, messing her hair up a little. A form of loving praise only his real kids normally received.

Kagura followed, smoothing her hair back into place. “Oh yeah, because that’ll really help the rumors. You know, it really bothers me what Cannonball said just now, about how ‘everybody knows.’ I really hope he was just trying to get at you.”

Shrugging. “It's exactly why I did it. If i fancied you like that, I wouldn't rustle up your hair like I would one of my kids.” He smiled. “People like to start rumors for the sake of conversation. As for this little bundle of joy, they mostly say it to just to mess your mind. As long as you stay true to your morals, your honor speaks volumes against said rumors.”
“Yeah, I don’t think I’m ever going to become what they think I am. Ever. And when they see that I stay a good role model, they’ll eventually stop believing rumors that I’m a bad one,” Kagura spoke, yawning and stretching in an unherolike way once again now that nobody was watching them too closely.

Jais smiled as she took the lesson he tried to share instantly. “Good. If you became a bad one, I would have to smack you in the back of the head.”

“Welcome to the Afternoon Show, with me, Stacey! Today is a very special episode because joining me today is a Hero who needs no introduction from me! She’s one of the most popular and quickly rising Heroes in history. Please join me in welcoming Seductress!”

The crowd cheered wildly, as well as wolf-whistled, as Kagura emerged, not in her costume, but in a very smart and stylish shirt-and-waistcoat combo, with a black pencil skirt. If anybody had ever claimed pencil skirts weren’t sexy, they just had to see how it hugged Kagura’s form, and they’d have to rethink their life choices.

She shook Stacey’s hand, and sat down. As soon as the cheering died down, Stacey wasted no time in starting the show. “So, Seductress. Three weeks ago, you took down the number two most wanted Supervillain, Cataclysm. He truly had a heart of stone as was rumored, to be able to resist you, but you beat him without even using your quirk in the end, out-fighting him and burying him in his own rubble to be fished out and detained later. How did you learn to fight like that?”

“Well,” Seductress answered, “I always knew that there would eventually be some things that couldn’t be solved with my feminine charm, so I’ve trained extensively in mixed martial arts, and battle tactics. I had a very good teacher. Of course, I’m distracting enough to always have an advantage in any fight.”

“When you say teacher, are you referring to the Pro Hero you were sidekick to at the beginning of your career, The Frenchman?”

“That’s right,” answered Kagura. “Who better to teach you how to fight villians when your quirk is ineffective than the Quirkless Hero himself?”

“How right you are, but speaking of The Frenchman, we have a surprise for you today! Please welcome our special guest!”

Kagura sat up, the surprise on her face not hidden at all, and entirely genuine. She hadn’t seen Jais since shortly after she broke out on her own as a Hero. She wasn’t prepared for meeting him face to face again after all this time. Would he think her as much of a sellout as most other heroes did?

As the crowd began its applause, Jais stepped out from back stage waving his left hand. Cane in hand though not using it. He wasn't in his costume, but still in a more modern black vest and tie. With a genuine smile on his face as he saw his former student/sidekick Kagura. He made a Beeline for her and took her in a massive hug. Holding it for a bit. The rumors of them together far gone many years before. He whispered in her ear. “I'm so proud of you Kagura.” Before pulling back and giving the traditional two kisses on the cheek that French people were known to do, which Kagura returned.

Despite the chatter of her being a sellout, Jais did not wholly approve on how she went about things. But in reality every hero was a sell out who were pros. Being paid to save people and the more they saved them was a bit of a sellout. He was no better as he made his living off of it as well. Which was why he was thinking of retirement himself and going back to it was before by Doing it on his own, on his time.

He looked to Kagura and said “You look as beautiful as ever. It is good to see you again, little one.” He said with his warm smile.

Then to the interviewer he reached over and took her hand and kissed it. “A pleasure as always to meet you once again Stacy.”
“The pleasure’s all mine, Frenchman! So, I understand that Seductress start out as your sidekick, and I have to ask; Her quirk did not seem to affect you at all in the six months your worked together. What was your secret?” Stacey smiled after asking. She was bringing out the juicy big guns now, and this world of press and gossip was now the world that the very diplomatic Kagura lived in, but Stacey didn’t really care that it might be too much for Jais.

Jais placed a fake smile on his face as he sat down Just next to Kagura. He has been asked this question countless times, it mostly had to do with his quirk and not seeing it directly as a normal person would. But her voice still did.

“Well Stacy…” he crossed his legs and folded his hands together. His cane propped up against his right leg. While Jais was not used to all the media attention that seductress received, he still was versed on giving an answer while not. Besides he wasn't going to reveal any hint on how Kagura’s quirk worked. Nor his. So he told half of the truth.

“I've known Seductress since she joined UA as her teacher. Through all the training and helping my students learn and develop their abilities. You tend to remember the special ones and how they work..”He said glancing at Kagura with a more genuine smile.

Stacey’s smile was strained. It was such an obvious half-answer, and she really wanted to chase it, but that would make things tense and this was a chat show, not a political grilling. Instead, she decided to chase Kagura. Not that she expected any real answers from her either, but at least the Heroine had a natural talent of making her answers juicy whilst telling the audience absolutely nothing new.

“So, Seductress. How exactly does your quirk work? Do you alter yourself or your target? Most importantly, are you using it on us right now?”

“Well, Stacey, I can’t tell you too much about my quirk because I like to keep it mysterious, and my fans curious,” she answered saucily, garnishing it with a cheeky wink to camera 1. “However, I can tell you that I’m not using it right now. I’m just naturally this charming.”

Seductress and Stacey shared a (fake) laugh, before Stacey moved on to more topics, making a point to not ask Jais the next question. “I must ask this, girl to girl; Have you ever used your quirk on a date?”

“I’m afraid to say I’ve actually not been on a date since I was a teenager, though I did use my quirk juuust a little then, yes.” Seductress waited just a second or two before speaking. Long enough for Stacey to raise her mic and prepare to ask another question, and then cut her off, turning to the audience, giggling “That’s right. I’m single. Fellas…”

Stacey’s smile was once again strained, as she tried to move on and regain control. She did not want to ask Seductress another question right now, so she turned her attention back to Jais. “So, Frenchman! You’ve been busy while your protegee has grown up and made a name for herself. Tell us a little about what you’ve been doing.”

Jais knew Kagura was charming and and engaging. Far superior to himself. He knew it, he saw it many times before but still it was impressive. He glanced back to Stacey when she pointed a question towards him. “Well I headed back to France for a while, among other places. But mostly have been working with the other pro heros and the French government in dismantling a syndicate that had taken roots in Paris. With the work done now, thanks to all the hard work of both the police force and the more full time heroes we were able to successfully dismantle said syndicate.” This much was true, but there was much more to the story at that time.

“Hardly comparable to Seductress accomplishment with cataclysm. Even I failed to capture him the few times I've fought him.” He added, trying to turn the attention back to Kagura, it was her moment after all and he wanted to make clear that over all the heros, she took the man down. Despite the rumors of her being a sellout, she did what other heroes couldn't. That was his main reason of being here.

This got a genuine smile from Kagura. Of course, she’d been praised before, but her teacher admitting that she’d done something he couldn’t was praise and flatter beyond what she’d experienced before.

After the show, Kagura caught up with Jais backstage and surprise hugged him from behind. “Hey, you! Why didn’t you tell me your were back?”

Jais was far to absorbed in a pastry to notice her running up behind him and was genuinely surprised. He swallowed his pastry and answered “I didn't know till a few days ago. I got a call from this studio wanting me to do a surprise visit and I accepted of course, I was planning to come back in a month or so anyways to come visit my son and congratulate you on your victory! I knew ever since I saw you at that entrance exam to UA, that you had so much potential. The headmaster didn't believe me… looks like I can cash in on that bet.” A mischievous smirk came on his lips. He had told her while she was his sidekick someone vouched for her. But never told her it was he.

He pointed to the pastries on the table behind him,"Have you tried one of these? These are exquisite! I mean I know pastries, every frenchman knows pastries, and these can put some French pastries to shame!”

Kagura took one of the pastries, and bit into it. He wasn’t exaggerating! These were amazing! Once she had finished, she grinned. “You never told me that you were the one who vouched for me! Looks like I’ve really turned out your ultimate success story, haven’t I? Well, you are a great teacher, after all.”

Jais nodded. “Yes you did. You’ve grown from that little mischievous girl who was always a troublemaker in my class, on the verge of failing, to one of the most successful hero’s I’ve ever known in record time. You are the reason I wanted to teach in the first place, It wasn’t even me...you made that promise to stick with it. You made the extra effort. You reaped the benefits from it. While I… gained a daughter I never had.” He said with a smile.

Kasuke Kagura, Kasuke Mina, Jais Haven, Jett Haven

Jais walked up to Kaguras door with little Jetty in perched in his right arm. His hair spiked and all over, as if he stuck his finger inside a light socket. Try as they might they could not tame his hair. He happened to have Jett for the day the same day he was going to visit Kagura, he figured it would fun for Jetty to play with Mina as he and Kagura caught up.

Knocking on the door he looked at his grandson and smile as the kid was looking directly up at the house in awe, Jetty was for sure thinking this house was bigger than his.

The door was answered by a butler. Yes, this was truly a different world now. The two were shown in and asked to take off their shoes, and wait in the reception room. This house had a reception room! The only feature anywhere in the room which made it look like Kagura or her children might live here were fashionable yet not remotely ‘ladylike’ leather boots, and little kids shoes and trainers in vivid, bright colors, in the shoe rack.

After a few minutes, Kagua came out, smiling wide, to greet them personally, in a karate gi of all things! She wasted no time in hugging Jais and kissing his cheeks in French greeting. “Jais Haven! It’s been...how long as it been? Seven years? You haven’t aged a day!” She let her former teacher and mentor go, and crouched down to have a look at Jetty. “And who’s this little man?”

Jais had thought the girl had done well for herself, but with who she also married as well. It was a little much for his taste. But he grew up in the poorest part of France and he thought he was living it up in the modest middle class home he had now. Even Jettys father, a wealthy businessman himself, and could have raised his children in a home like this, felt more comfortable in a four bedroom home in a nice neighborhood.

Because of his living choices, he was often mocked by other wealthy men. But that wasn't the point now. He had set Jetty down, only moments before Kagura showed up. After the traditional hello Jais smiled. “Just about… life has been non stop these past few years. I'm sorry I haven't visited sooner. Thank you for the kind words. But I think you have actually grown more beautiful over the years!”

He looked down at his grandson, who suddenly grew super shy as the beautiful lady crouched in front of him. He hid behind his grandfather, who then said “ come on… you know what to say.”

Whimpering he pulled himself out behind him and with bright red cheeks and looking down bashfully he said ”Hello…. I'm Jett… Haven. It's nice to meet you..” he mumbled.

“Oh, stop,” Kagura playfully laughed off the compliment, before smiling at Jett. “It’ nice to meet you too, Jett!” She stood up, and beckoned them both to follow them inside. As they did so, a three year old girl ran out to meet them. Besides wearing her hair in ponytails, she was the spitting image of what Kagura would have look like as a toddler, and was even wearing a matching gi! She put her hands on her hips and pouted at her mother. She hadn’t even seemed to have noticed Jais and Jett yet! “Mommy! You said we’d practice karate all afternoon!”

Kagura reached down and ruffled her daughter’s hair, and then gestured to her guests. ”Mina, stop pouting, and greet our guests. This is Jais Haven, my friend and teacher. You may know him as The Frenchmen. He’s a pro Hero. The little boy’s his grandson, Jett.” Mina’s eyes sparkled as she finally noticed Jais, with a newfound respect. She bowed her head and clearly replied with ”It’s a pleasure to meet you, Jais Haven.” She had not looked at or made any sign of noticing Jett yet.

Jais watched with an amused look as he watched Kagura interact with her daughter. Even doing the head pat that he used to do to her. Jais then chuckled as Mina said hello. “The pleasure is all mine, Mina.” Giving her a proper bow with his hand over his heart. He looked to her mother,” I have a feeling she might be a little heartbreaker like her mother.” Clearly he never met Kagura till she was 15, but flashbacks of the little spitfire Kagura was clear and present in Mina. He got down on one knee so he could look Mina eye to eye. With a warm smile he asked.” And why are we so eager to practice karate at such a young age?”

Jett said nothing, but with Mina who ran in, he was still a little shy. But it was clear his head perked up at seeing the girl in pigtails. He wringed his hands together. As he worked up the courage to say hello. He finally pushed himself with a firm nod of the head and walked forward so he was standing just to the right of his grandpa. But he lost his courage just as quickly.

Jais knew Jett was a shy boy at first and it was hard to make friends at first. He was already surprised at the boys reaction. Normally he would stand back behind him but now he was standing just next to him. Would you look at that he thought to himself.

”Because I want to be a pro Hero too!” The little three year old answered. [color=ffff99]“I get my quirk next year and I don’t know what it will be, but mommy says that I should learn to fight without my quirk anyway if I want to be a real Hero.” At this point, she noticed Jett, though she found it odd that he was so shy. The only other children she knew were her brothers, who were both currently very confident at 5 and 7 years old.

Jais smiled at Mina, “That's good! Your mommy is right, we shouldn't rely too much on our quirks if we want to be a real hero. “ he stood up and looked at his grandson. “Jetty here wants to be one as well. He's already learned that lesson the hard way.”

He looked to Kagura with a sad matter of fact look on his face. And said softly” He can teleport, but he has no control over it. His ADHD makes it impossible for him to focus enough. Maybe with time, but it could be something he can have difficulties with his entire life.”

Jett looked to his grandfather and then to the others. With shy determination in his voice he said softly. ” I… I will….be a a hero just like you Papa! “ he looked down and mumbled…. “I don't need my quirk…I'll do it…” he suddenly vanished in a puff of smoke and reappeared a foot to his left, where he was looking. Without missing a beat he finished his sentence “...without it.” as if he didn't even notice obviously it was a touchy subject with the boy.

Kagura shook her head. ”Everything can be improved with practice and training. You yourself taught me that. He’ll make a fine hero in the future.” She answered, with an encouraging smile at Jett. Mina, on the other hand, looked impressed. ”That quirk’s really cool!” She blurted out.

Jais sighed and chuckled. “I did didn't I?” He felt foolish for even having doubts that his grandson could control it. He looked to her and said “Look who is teaching who now” funny after all his years of teaching he could be retaught a basic lesson. The fact he even glossed over it was shameful enough. “Your right. He can do it.” He said mostly to himself.

Jett blushed even more at the pretty lady as she gave him an encouraging smile. His head whipped to Mina as she said his quirk was cool. “Y-you think so? “ he asked some confidence returning but he didn't look at the girl as she looked at him. Rubbing his left bicep with his hand. Unsure what to do now l. He then looked to Jais who gave him a look. He quickly added .”Thank you.” A small smile slowly appeared on his lips

Mina nodded, then marched straight to Jett and grabbed his wrist, leading him to the living room. ”C’mon. I’ll show you my toys!”

Kagura smiled watching them go, then turned her attention back to Jais. ”Let’s head to the study and catch up. I’m sure you’ve been busy this past seven years, and it won’t do to hear about it standing in the hall. Would you like a drink?”

Jett was wide eyed at the sudden jerk of his wrist, he was not used to anyone doing that. But quick did that thought go away as a big smile came on his face. It was apparently that easy to make a friend? who knew?

Jais smiled as well as they ran off together. Looking to Kagura as she spoke to him. “That sounds delightful. This has been far too long since we did this last.” As he followed her into the study, he couldn't help but smile seeing such a big smile on Jetty’s face. Hopefully this was a start of a wonderful friendship.

Kasuke Mina, Jais Haven, Jett Haven

Today

After being dropped off from the exercise, Mina had gone straight to her dorms (for the first time today), showered off the dirt and blood, and gotten changed back into her school uniform. With clean skin, a well-groomed set of twintails, and smart clothes that fit, she felt human again. Plus underwear. Having quite recently developed breasts, she still wasn’t used to how uncomfortable they were if you try to fight without wearing a bra. Ready to face the outside world again, she headed back to class.

She was glad that Roy seemed to have the Headmaster’s favour now, but she found herself wondering about Darkmatter. If he knew that she didn’t go straight back to school like she told him, but went and captured a point for her team, possibly turning a victory for his team into a draw, or a draw into a victory for her team, would that hurt him? Well, tough. Life isn’t about playing fair, and the deception was for his sake anyway. He doesn’t have a right to get angry about somebody doing him a favour. She should probably return his clothes when they got back to class, though. First, she had to work out which student he was.

Jais stood in front of the boys locker room, having just spent the time talking to Jett privately after dropping off Elvira at the classroom. Jett was still shirtless and covered in dirt. He had just gotten off the the phone as well, informing Jett's mother what's happened. He may be overprotective but his mother… she was in a whole new league.

He looked over to his right to see Mina walking towards him. Memories flooded his thoughts, as he swore he saw little Kagura before him. He almost even called her By her mother's name because of how identical they were.

“Miss Kauske Mina. “ Jais smiled at the girl and bowed his head. “Excellent work defending A. Your mother trained you well.”

Mina raised her eyebrow as she was addressed by a...stranger? Except she recognised him. Despite grey hair and wrinkles, this man before her was the spitting image of Jett. It must be a relative of his. “Just Kasuke, if you please,” she responded politely yet not in a familiar tone. “And you are?”

Jais smiled. Not a lot of younger kids knew him sadly, they always focus on the hero's of their time. He knew this but it still felt like a shot to the heart. “Forgive me,. I'm known as The Frenchman. I trained your mother when she went to UA. You can call me Jais. Or Mr. Haven when we are in class of course."

Mina’s tone changed completely after hearing that. Her eyes went wide and she bowed. ”You’re the Frenchman! Forgive me! Please, call me Mina! My mom’s told me a lot about you, Jais!”

Was he that old that people couldn't recognize him…. ugh. Time was sometimes cruel. “It's quite alright”, he said with a smile. “ I do hope she said good things.” He chuckled. “ I must say though you are the spitting image of your mother. I could have sworn it was her walking up to me just now.”

“With an impressive, unique quirk to boot. Just like Kagura. I feel like I'm having a bit of deja vu at the moment.” He added

There was a twitch to Mina’s smile. ”I do get that a lot. That’s partly why I’m training to be a Hero now. I want to be a Hero so great that people will stop saying I’m Seductress’s daughter and start saying that she’s Mina’s mother. I want to emerge from my mom’s shadow and show the world what I can do with a small, dainty body and a useless quirk, both of which, I’ve trained of my own efforts.” The particular wording of that would have caught Jais’ attention; ‘Useless quirk’. Kagura said the exact same thing once.

Jais laughed, lifted his cane and tapped the ground with it as he did. An odd reaction for what she said. After a moment he cleared his throat. “Forgive me, but I do understand what you mean. My son never escaped my shadow and never was recognized for what he accomplished. I believe Jett has the same fears as well. So I get where you are coming from.” There was a twinkle in his eye. “ The reason I laughed was yet again, you sounded Just like your mother. “

This comment got Mina’s attention. Mina’s aspirations and feelings of insecurity and inferiority were not something she could imagine her mom, Lady Kasuke, the number seven Heroine Seductress, ever having. ”What do you mean, by ‘i sounded like my mother’?”

He looked around before bending over towards Mina as if telling a major secret. “Your mother thought as well that her quirk was ‘useless’ and she even came to me wanting to quit because she was failing her classes.”

Figuring he would nip this in the bud here and now he sat down in a chair just in front of her to be at her eye level. “ You are already leagues ahead of where your mother was at this point in your previous grades, and entrance exam score. She probably wouldn't have even made it into UA if a teacher didn't vouch for her. “ revealing he was already keeping tabs on her when she applied for school.

“That said, while you may think you are under the shadow of your mother… you got accepted by YOUR scores and you won the fight With YOUR quirk and abilities. You are already pulling out from under your mother's legacy.” Each time he had said ‘your’ he had pointed at her to drive the point in.

He did raise a finger and continue. “However, you still have much to learn, so don't get your head too inflated.” He said with a smile.

Mina nodded respectfully. Those were wise words, though Mina didn’t believe she had an inflated opinion of herself. There were many students in this school who she didn’t embarrassingly outclass with her brilliance...probably. She’ll know when she meets one, whenever that will be. It certainly hasn’t been yet. Still, it had surprised her to hear that she was better than her mother was at 15. That was praise that she’d never heard before; a comparison to her mother that didn’t disfavour her. It actually made her feel grateful for receiving such a compliment.

Jett at this moment stepped out of locker room, slowly putting on his jacket. Then tugging the sleeves so they were the proper length covering his white shirt cuffs. He definitely knew how to rock a school uniform. was wondering how the others did on A and B. Especially Mina. He was hoping to see her fight. If it wasn't for that blasted pink haired……

He looked up to see Kauske standing in front of him, his grandfather sat down in a position as if he was speaking to her. His voice was stuck in his throat as he saw her for the first time in her uniform. She was even more gorgeous than in her gym clothes of course, but still he didn't think you can one up perfection.

“Hey!” He said as he looked between them. “How did you do, Kauske?” He asked with a big smile as he winced slightly at the headache he still had.

Mina turned to Jais, and with a flat tone that made it seem like she wasn’t the slightest bit proud of what she’d done, like of course she did these things without breaking a sweat; ”First, I chased Darkmatter through some tunnels under Point B, then we both had to escape because the building was going to come down on us. Once I was out, I headed to Point A to see if Fumika needed help, but nobody was there, so I took it. Then Roy, the support student, came to contest. We fought, and I won.”

Jett sighed when he got the flat tone from Kauske, he knew she would probably be the same as before, but after his giant escapade with the truck and bohemian raspberry, he might have gotten something more than a monotone. She didn't even ask about how his fights went.. Alright then if she wanted to play that way.

But Sharp pain exploded in his mind. He didn't show that he was in pain except for a slight wince. Distracted “Awesome.” He said, irritated. He forgot what he was going to say in response to Kauske… was it about his battles? Nah nothing to brag about there. Over spent his energy like a rookie because he got Distracted by grabbing that girl's butt and decided to just put her outside of the checkpoint. Then made another rookie mistake by turning into the giant kid instead of staying away, fricking fight only lasted a few minutes. Over all he did absolutely nothing for the team besides being the soccer mom who dropped off the kids. Biting the inside of his lip he turned towards the hall where they should go to class.

Jais raised an eyebrow at his grandson who was not his usual chipper self, could this be what the nurse warned to look for? Or was it a sour taste in the boy’s mouth from the battle. “Well you two should be off to class. Jett I'll see you later, miss Kauske it was a pleasure to meet you once again.” He said with a smile before standing up and heading in the opposite direction.

Jett rubbed his neck before taking two exaggerated backward steps towards class before giving a single wave to his grandfather.

He then simply asked “Wanna walk together to class?”

”Sure,” she answered abruptly, before starting to walk, expecting Jett to catch up. Once Jais was gone, she looked back at Jett for a second or two, before turning back to face forward, and allowing herself a small smile as she whistled Bohemian Rhapsody loud enough for him to hear.

Jett watched her as she walked by. Cracking his neck hoping that would relieve the pain in his head before quickly following. As he did he notice her looking back at him for a moment before looking forward and started whistling. As much as it was inflaming his splitting headache. He narrowed his eyes and smiled. Not expecting this from blonde, it was a definite good sign of fortune. He broke through. Just a little, but he managed to do it. “Catchy tune… isn't it? ” He said when he followed step with her to her left . A satisfied smile on his face.

Mina stopped whistling, but she still had a half-smile on her face. ”I swear, if this stays stuck in my head all day, i’m holding you responsible.” Secretly, Mina was kind of surprised. She’d made two friends in one day. Maybe it was because everybody here had similar interests of wanting to be a Hero, and a family history of wealthy pro-Heroes wasn’t uncommon. She did not have much in common with her peers in her old school, and wasn’t the most friendly of girls anyway.

Jett out a hearty laugh. Very much similar to his grandfather's. It sent pain shooting through his head. But he didn't care at the moment. He had a mischievous grin on his face. “ I'd gladly take responsibility, it was my plan all along.”

A smug look came in his face as his shoulders straightened and his head turned just slightly up and to the right as I'd striking a pose. “My first step of taking over the school is now complete.” He said in a mockingly evil voice.

"I don't know what kind of master plan starts with getting a song stuck in a girl's head," Mina retorted, "And frankly I'm not sure I want to know."

The two arrived at the classroom, and Mina didn't know how to end this conversation. For all her training on etiquette, she didn't know how to have a casual conversation with somebody, being criminally unpractised. So, she just abruptly made her way to her seat as soon as she got through the doorway. She'd never really done anything to dissuade people from thinking she's a stuck-up ice queen, because that was simply easiest for her to live up to than to try to change people's thinking.

Mamoru Aksha

And just as quick as it started, it seemed like everyone who was better needed to return to class. ”Bye Sen! Catch ya later!” They didn't have much of a conversation but Mamoru was glad to at least be able to see him before she left. Heading back to their lockers Mamoru changed from her frazzled gym clothes to her school uniform, changing out from her sweaty clothes as well. Last thing she did was clean up her glasses as they were covered in dust. Fortunately, despite her violent tumble, she didn't damage them.

Mamoru walked back towards class looking like a total doofus. She rather enjoyed their first lesson, very exciting and action packed. Perhaps she ought to consider her actions more closely before she implemented them, but hesitation was a quick killer. All it takes is a moment’s pause for hundreds of lives to be lost. ”Let not the perfect plan be the enemy of a good plan.” Mamoru said in a false posh accent. All in all she felt pretty good at the turn of events.

Soon Mamoru arrived to class and she made her presence known. ”Hi hi! MVP of Delta Team is here!” Mamoru said with smiles. Now she kinda wished she had some bandages to show off her battle scars, but unfortunately Nurse Kiwi was an effective healer: Mamoru didn't have a scar on her body. Returning to her seat Mamoru allowed herself to sink in and relax. She noted that of the students who were here, only Kenichi was from Delta. Last Mamoru heard he was suppose to run off to fight for Point A, so Mamoru was curious. ”Hey Kenichi! How'd it go at Point A? Win one for the team?”

Donny Yang

Before anyone from Team Delta could begin to mount an assault on Point A, the battle was over. Mr. Yoshida announced that the battle was done and everyone was to be picked up and head to either class or the infirmary. Not long after the announcement Mr. Yoshida arrived and made Donny try to cover up. The first place Donny went to was back to his lockers and put his regular school uniform back on. It felt nice putting on his clothes over his disguise, like multiple protective layers to hide who he is inside.

”Wow that sounds incredibly emo. Crisp crisp crisp.”

Digging through his bag Donny got that spicy nacho chips out and started eating them on his way back to class. He still had a few snacks including his Twinkie and he could grab some more chips. Donny would've brought chocolate but they tend to melt. Perhaps some lollipops instead? Either way he stopped by the water fountains to get some water. ”I should get a water bottle too. Or maybe a mug. A flagon? A wooden flagon sounds cool.” Donny pondered these thoughts as he headed to class. Along the way he thought he heard someone play some music but didn't investigate it.

By the time Fonny arrived back to Class A-1 a couple of people were already here. Fumika, Kenichi, Mamoru, Jett, and lastly Mina. Donny looked at her for only a moment before turning away. ”Right, don't be creepy Donny Boy. She doesn't know who you are.” Donny just shuffled to his seat and sat down, finishing his chips and munching on the bag. Unlike before he didn't really waste one chewing it and finished it as easily as taking a bite out of a chip. Then he took out some cinnamon gum and chewed on it. ”I wonder what's for lunch. I hope it's hamburgers. Or maybe Ramen.” Donny pondered as he reached for his Twinkie.

Elvira Pustoy

<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>:<:>

Jais had shown Elvira the classroom she was meant to be in and had even gone as far as to draw miniature versions of the halls and doors leading off them upon the back of her hand in black marker. Just so she wouldn't 'forget' like she often said was to blame for her wanderings. Wanderings such as this one. The brunette didn't purposely go out of her way to oppose all authority. It just happened. Rules were boring. So were instructions. Who invented either of those concepts? A boring person, that's who. A boring person was the only boring one who could make up boring rules and boring, boring, boring. Elvira didn't have the patience to be bear such a weight, not today.

The only reason she'd agreed to attend this academy was to uncover the secret Jett seemed adamant on withholding. Quirk removal. It was almost ironic; the girl would have said so herself if she understood the base of irony. Coming to an academy that encouraged and facilitated quirk development to rid herself of that very same thing? To an outsider, it sounded crazy. To Elvira, it was saner than the students willing to bash one another to bits for the sake of displaying heroism. Why anyone would want to be a hero, despite having been saved by one herself, was beyond her. Come to think of it, shouldn't she be concerned about-

'I don't trust myself once I hear your call~'

Elvira's head twitched to the side somewhat, her hearing reacting quicker than any other sense. Was that... music? It wasn't coming from the speaker system - if this academy had one. No, it was much too faint for that to be a possibility. The lyrics were muffled but the girl's sharp hearing could still make out the majority of the words. Not Japanese. Not Russian either. Elvira deemed it as foreign. The steady melody seemed to be coming from a door coincidentally located past the one she should have went through. Nobody was expecting her... Elvira didn't think so anyway. There was no harm in investigating.

The girl's steps, high in volume due to the boots she insisted on wearing along with her school uniform, quickened down the hall. Before she had even got into arm's length of the door, her hand, already outstretched and ready to come into contact with the door, flexed the fingers that belonged to it. Whatever was beyond on the other side would surely cure the entertainment predicament she found herself. She was bound to be faced with repercussions later on. Elvira would think of something when need be.

Classroom 1-A

As Kenichi finally seated himself in his main character seat, leaning back and putting his feet up on the desk, and...waited. But...was no one else coming? Maybe he was just being impatient...

He looked over at @FeyblueFumika.

"Okay seriously, we got the right room, right?" he said to her, then looked around at the empty room in confusion.

Then @Silver Carrot@Aerandirthe twintail girl and that guy who had called Kenichi comic relief came in, and the blue-haired boy breathed a sigh of silent thanks. They hadn't walked into the wrong classroom, they just...had two really late people? More transfers from the General Studies department like Roy, maybe?

"Yo, you guys!" Kenichi called out. "Is the exercise over, or are the others still out there?"

@Lucius Cypher”Hi hi! MVP of Delta Team is here!" The pinkette bounded into the room, a far cry from how she'd been in the jeep earlier. ”Hey Kenichi! How'd it go at Point A? Win one for the team?”

"Ah, about that..." Kenichi scratched his cheek and nodded in Fumika's direction. "Motome-chan's a tough cookie. I was still conscious after the fight so I guess technically I captured the point, but we both had to go to the Nurse's office so somebody else might have grabbed it afterwards. Sorry, Mamoru-chan..." he sighed again. "And after all my talk too, right? Ah well, it's only the first day, yeah?"

Donny walked in not long after, shuffling silently to his seat and still snacking away. Kenichi didn't say anything just yet, but he wondered how that plan at Point B had gone...hopefully no one had been seriously injured if the chubby kid really had collapsed the whole thing.

Fumika blinked at her new friend's sudden gesture of thanks, and then nodded a bit sheepishly. "You're welcome," She parroted back, as she'd always been taught. Formulaic interactions like these were easy enough to follow, although she wasn't terribly good at initiating them. Still... Yoshida seemed happy, so she'd managed to do it right, hadn't she?

She lapsed into silence after that, though, and he didn't seem inclined to break it for the moments that followed. Wait, was she supposed to say something? But she didn't really have much else to say... It would have been fine with her to just listen to him talk. He was good at talking. She could tell because whenever he smiled, it made her want to smile too. He was always very friendly and energetic and nice, and so listening to him talk as also nice, because she felt like he wanted her to hear him. It wasn't always that way with other people. Sometimes, it felt more like she just happened to be in their presence. Here, it felt like she was being talked to, and that made her happy.

Oh. She'd stopped paying attention again, because he hadn't been saying anything... He seemed to be watching the people who were slowly trickling back into the classroom. She, of course, hadn't noticed them either, but wasn't surprised to see them. After all, she'd expected the exercise to likely be over, so it was only natural that they'd be on their way back to class, just like Yoshida had said. Yoshida knew a lot of things, now that she thought about it. She was glad he had talked to her.

Then, all of a sudden, he spoke to her again, and she snapped to attention. "Okay seriously, we got the right room, right?" She nodded immediately, without any hesitation. After all, she'd seen the sign over the doorway quite clearly when she'd returned, and remembered it perfectly, even in her tired state. Besides, the view from the windows was the same, too, so there could be no mistaking it.

"This is the right room. There's no mistake," She confirmed absolutely, before leaning over towards Yoshida and tapping on his chair. "See? The main character seat is here."

As she straightened back up again, feeling a slight pain in her back as she did so - her bruises were still aching, try though she might to ignore them - a few more people returned to class. This time, Fumika recognized them immediately - the boy who'd introduced himself as Jett and held the door for her on her way into the classroom, and the shiny girl from the exercise, Mina. Yoshida called out to them, though, which made her curious - was he already friends with them? She hadn't realized.

Somebody else approached, too, but Fumika didn't have much data on her, since she'd only seen a glimpse of her before the exercise, and had no idea what her name was or what she could do. Yoshida seemed to be on good terms with her, though, since she was very enthusiastic when she greeted him, and addressed him by his first name. According to Haruka, that was a big deal, since she'd been surprised when Fumika had called her that on first meeting her. Personally, she didn't really get it, since more people shared family names than given names, so it had confused her a lot as a child. But people acted weird when she did it, so she'd stopped. In any case, Yoshida had only called her by her surname, so she'd done the same, but this girl didn't seem to have that problem... Did that mean they were best friends instead of just friends? Also, Fumika couldn't help wonder what an MVP was, though. Oh! But Yoshida was talking about her, so she couldn't afford to get too distracted wondering about things like that. Still, what he said was strange, and she wasn't really sure what he meant.

"Why am I a cookie?" She pondered, tilting her head to one side in that oddly bird-like sort of way as her antenna curled once again to the left. It might have just been a total coincidence caused by her lack of energy to keep it upright, but it still looked oddly like a question mark...

Jett Haven,

Feat. @Feyblue

Jett smiled at Kasuke’s final comment, before she abruptly left he said quickly, “The kind no one expects.”

He watched her walk away with his head cocked to the right. He followed her over and picked a seat to the right of her. But he didn't sit down. Kenichi spoke up at them and he looked toward him and shook his head. “It ended a bit ago, there were a bunch of us in the nurse's office.”

He looked around and notice Elvira wasn't here. “Oh Jeeze…” he said softly. Taking off his jacket to save his seat and tipped the chair next to him to save it as well. He looked to Mina. “Excuse me…” he didn't even know why he excused himself, it wasn't like they were in the middle of a conversation. It was his Proper etiquette showing…probably.

He started over towards the door but decided to ask Fumika how she did. He figured she was out because Mina said she took over A. But wanted to know if it was that giant kid who took her out or what happened.

He stopped beside her and smiled at her, “Hey Fumika, how did you do? “ He rubbed his right temple as he asked, his headache, while not as bad as it was a few minutes ago was still pretty annoying.

The blonde-haired girl didn’t turn to look up at him, but rather simply leaned back her head, craning her neck backwards to stare upside-down over one shoulder at the one who’d addressed her. ”Jett? Why am I a cookie?” She asked without any prior prompting, speaking this utter non sequitur with a completely straight face.

There was silence. Her antenna of hair wobbled a little bit to the other side as she blinked once, very slowly, in an oddly thorough sort of way as if she was trying to put herself to sleep, wake back up again, and thus reset her mind to deal with a new situation. Evidently finished “rebooting,” she slowly stood up, shaking her head back and forth.

“Sorry. I got distracted,” She said, evidently in regards to her earlier question, but as she continued, it seemed more like that was her answer to his question. “I was supposed to just distract them and call when it was safe, but I was pinned down by Yoshida instead, so I couldn’t escape or make a signal.” As she continued her “explanation,” she spoke with the utmost seriousness, stating fact as casually as if she was describing the weather. But, the way she phrased things was… significantly less than ideal. “He took it gently at first, but then it got more difficult to keep up. He’s really strong and fast, and I couldn’t really handle it very well, so after we were done I passed out.”

Jett was so confused by Fumika’s first question, that he didn't have a chance to respond before she continued to answer him. As she described it, Jett's face began to redden. How could he not!? A bead of sweat came down his cheek. She was so serious, he shook his head, she couldn't mean she was doing… THAT. He raised a finger to stop her when she seemed to finished her explanation. But she then added to it.

“But he said just now that he couldn’t move afterward, so does that mean I beat him? I just felt really sleepy and took a nap, and I think there was a comfy pillow for some reason - why was that even there, anyway? -But he was still awake and couldn’t move. That means I won, right?”

Wait what a pillow? Did they plan for this!? Jett cleared his throat, his head tilting to the side, as if it would help him figure out what was happening. Fumika stood there expectantly, cocking her head to the same side and raising her own pointer finger like a mirror of Jett himself, but her expression still didn’t change from that same placid stare. Her eyes fluttered momentarily, and she blinked again - slowly, and very, very thoroughly. “Um… are we… still.”

Pausing as she copied him. A slight smirk on his face as she did so, why was she doing that? He had noticed it before as they were making a plan for the training grounds with Lysander. Remembering his previous thought, he continued his question. “We are still talking about a fight, right?” He looked to Yoshida with a surprised look, hoping he was paying attention to Fumika. He looked back to Fumika and added. “Right?!” he asked again, a bit of confused worry in his tone.

Fumika looked at Yoshida. She blinked a third time, even more thorough than the last, as if processing the question she’d just been asked. She looked back to Jett, her lip curling into a quizzical mimicry of his own former smirk as her head tilted a little further to the side. “We are. Wasn’t it obvious? I didn’t think… Hmm... What else would I be talking about?” That choice of words… There was no way she wasn’t mocking him, right? That had to be sarcasm - it had to be! So then why was it that she still seemed absolutely, straight-facedly, bluntly serious? She cleared her throat all of a sudden, looked away, blinked once more, and then looked back, as if mentally preparing herself for… something. And then, to set the record straight, she…

“We went at each other with everything we had, spared nothing, and both were so totally floored afterward that they had to pick us up and bring us back here!” This concise “summary” burst out of her mouth with entirely too much enthusiasm and volume to be called modest. But also, oddly enough, it was spoken with a level of energy and inflection completely unlike the way Fumika normally talked, not even to mention the sudden shift to very informal, tomboyish, perhaps even crude phrasing. Was she trying to mimic somebody? Who? Regardless, she smiled to herself as if congratulating herself on a job well done, and then lapsed back into her normal speaking tone as she cleared her throat once again, and then sat back down. “Even if I didn’t win, it was a good fight. I did a little better this time than normal, and Yoshida says I’ll get even better if I try harder next time.” She stopped for a moment, then placed a single finger on her chin as if in contemplation, evidently oblivious to the looks of shock she was receiving. ”Oh. Right. I went all-out, but I’m not sure if Yoshida did. He said that was his strongest technique, though… So I guess he did, too.”

Jett was semi relieved when she answered that she was indeed talking about the fight...yet the tone was… still confusing. He couldn’t get a read on the girl. Was she still serious or messing with him. She seemed too innocent to be even talking about this casually. And Still she continued, which someone could take seriously. But now with that image in his head...he couldn’t get rid of it. His eyes kept looking to Yoshida and back to Fumika. No.. it couldn’t happened… She was… and he was… it just didn’t work out, but you never knew.

Raising a hand, just going to go with it… he had to be taking it wrong. Yeah thats right. “That’s… awesome to hear! I’m glad you...went all out.” Fumika simply nodded, seeming… glad? As if she was just relieved that he understood what she meant. That face was far, far too innocent to be associated with any of the words he’d just heard or the unwelcome image in his brain. The fluffy blonde raised a hand once more in mimicry of him, then simply looked expectantly up at him, as if waiting for something. Between that calm stare of hers and the way her bangs fluffed outward like ears… She seemed oddly like a loyal dog, holding out her paw to shake. Right. There was no way. There was absolutely no way that this could be talking about that.

Jett stood there for a moment, unsure what Fumika was waiting for. His face visibly confused as he bit his lip and his brow was furrowed. What ever she was waiting for he couldn’t think straight enough anymore. He just… couldn’t look at her the same anymore. Even if she looked so innocent and happy with herself. He had to do something. ANYTHING, to get away from this situation. He had to clear his head and come back to this later.

Forcing a very strained smile his raised hand, which was still up, leaving his only his index finger while his other hand came up and mimicked his left. “I….I’m gonna go now... “ Both of his hands twisted and pointed towards the door. “I got to find a friend. Whoooo is not here. But should be.”

Fumika’s brow furrowed much like his own, and her lips pursed as if she was suddenly very deep in contemplation. Still, when he said he was going to leave, she didn’t make any move to stop him, but rather simply broke off from staring at him, her gaze falling down to the floor as if crestfallen. She blinked again, and her frown slowly untwisted itself before she finally looked up again. The hand she still had raised wobbled just a little bit from side to side, giving what was less of a wave and more of a surprisingly, unintentionally accurate imitation of the Queen of England at a parade.

“Okay,” She said at last, sounding only a little disappointed in comparison to her earlier burst of enthusiasm. ”Bye-bye.”

He suddenly felt guilty, the disappointment in her voice cut him to the core. Intentional or not, He quickly added. “B-but I’m coming back.” Of course he was coming back, but he felt maybe he had to make that clear. His fingers pointing to the door moved towards himself, back to the door and then pointed down. A brief pause, looking at her in the eyes to try and get a final read on her before mimicking her farewell. “Bye-bye.” Before taking slow steps sideways, his eyes still watching her for a moment. Why the hell did he just copy her? He shook his head, 'idiot...' he thought to himself before looking at Yoshida. He managed to look him in the eyes and gave him a disgusted look. His right hand shot up to his face, his index and middle finger pointing at his eyes as he stared the fellow student down. He then pointed towards Yoshida, then back to himself, then finally on Yoshida once more. He kept it there as he walked away towards the door, his middle finger curled into his fist leaving only his index finger pointing while his eyes never left the student as he rounded the corner and into the hallway.

Fumika sighed and sunk deeper into her chair. She’d been hoping to hear how things had gone for the rest of the team, but hadn’t found an opportunity to bring it up, since Jett had seemed very confused, even worried about something. She’d cleared things up, though, although where she’d been mistaken before, she wasn’t certain. Everything was fine now… right? He hadn’t seemed as worried when he’d left the room… But why had he done that thing with his hand? Was that supposed to be some kind of signal? She didn’t get it. Jett was strange. Come to think of it, she called him Jett and he called her Fumika, just like Yoshida and the pink girl called each other by name. Did that mean they were best friends, too? When had that happened? She was making a lot of friends today. She already had twice as many as she’d had back home, and it was only the first day. Oh, but Jett couldn’t be her best friend, because she already had Haruka. She needed to tell Haruka that everything was alright, though, come to think of it. Fumika was sure that she’d be proud of her. She just hoped that she wouldn’t misunderstand anything. It had been hard enough explaining things to Jett. No matter how she looked at it, he’d been acting strange… But he’d been trying to act like her at the end there. Then, did that mean…?

“Maybe I really am strange,” She mused aloud.

Jett let a huge sigh of relief escape his mouth when he rounded the corner. That was awkward… he thought to himself as he took a second to look around. Right, he had to find Elvira. The girl was sure to be exploring the school by herself. She was just like a toddler sometimes. It was his responsibility to keep an eye on her at school, to be there when his grandfather couldn’t.

He started to walk the halls, glancing into classrooms. Some full, some not. He just hoped he would find her soon. As he continued to walk, he also continued to rub his forehead. Something wasn’t write, he felt off still...it wasn’t just a headache anymore. He felt he was forgetting something…

He looked around the corner and saw Elvira standing at a door of a classroom. “Elvira!” He called to her. He moved towards her and continued,“Elvira… come on, we need to be going to class…”He gently took a hold of her wrist and part of her hand in his own to guide her back to the classroom when he turned to look into the room she was looking in. There was a female student dancing (Extremely well by the way) in the empty room...she was even taller than ‘Smalls’! Holy shit.
