Jett looked around to the others trailing in, one elbow propped on his desk with his chin on his palm. Mostly only his eyes moved back and forth. He did notice the star girl sliding in tom cruise style, acting like a rockstar. He quite suddenly rose to his feet. Already feeling bored even though he only sat a few moments before. He wanted to walk around as much as he could before class started. He moseyed his way over towards the door, hearing the pink hair girl giving her rendition of Shitstorm C. Already he could tell she was trying to make it sound like she was a hero...Despite nearly killing Sen with that stunt. Though...madman behind the wheel was semi Accurate. Of course she left out that SHE sent the construction vehicles towards them. AND A FREAKING CRANE!

He moved around slowly behind her, about 10 feet behind. His eyes focused on Kauske untill she would glance at him@Silver Carrot. He would then point at Mamoru and then brought the same hand to his head, pointing to his temple and shook his hand quickly. Silently saying that girl was Unstable before moving on.

He noticed Ezra@Artymis had come in at this point. Talking to Fumika, he overheard her explaining the battle that happened. COME ON! Why couldn't she do that with him!? She could have easily have said it that way for him. He walked by and slowed down, staring hard at Ezra. It was as if he was studying his face for any clues. He then said, "I thought you went to the nurses? Cause I swear your face looks worse than before our fight." He said with an evil grin before chuckling as he moved passed him and slapped him in the arm. "I'm just messing. It was a Good fight If I didn't have shrap metal in my body at the time, it could have ended differently." He added as he walked awayspu causally, hands in his pants pockets, hearing but ignoring any comment from the tall student. Just to piss him off.

He came to a stop and leaned against Toni's @Mcfazzer desk with a smile on his face. "So, what's it like to be a shooting star. You certainly try take things to the literal sense it seems." He said with a crooked grin. "Though there is only one person who is the literal star in the class." He said glancing back at Kauske. He meant it mostly with her ability, but she did take and hold A by herself. Which did make her the start of Alpha team.

Dulga Tarata

Dulga had stayed in the bathroom for a few minutes and used this opportunity to put her cellphone's memory card into the new phone she received. It wasn't long before Dulga's new phone was finished downloading all the information from Dulga's phone, mostly her contact information. "That reminds me... I should ask for that girl's name. Even if she's in my class, it'll only be polite to know her name." Dulga had some problems trying to be "Sociable", but she still remembered a few things her mother taught her about manners. The fact that Dulga just walked out without even saying goodbye was one of those things that her mother told her not to do. Sighing the six-armed giantess left the bathroom with her eyes looking down and her hands in her pocket. She didn't expect anyone to be over here and thus was surprised when she ran into someone near the bathroom.

"Sorry." Looking up Dulga nearly flinched at the sight. It was a very... Pretty looking boy. But what caught Dulga's eyes the most was his wings. Six wings folded on his back like some sort of angel. Reflectively Dulga's own arms grabbed the edges of her cloak and tighten around her body. She felt a jealous just looking at him. "I bet everyone tells him how cool his wings look. I doubt anyone looks at you and think you're freaky or troublesome. You probably think you're hot shit too." Dulga thought to herself. It was a good thing she wore a mask and a hood, because the distaste on her face was easy to see. Hiding her face from the winged student Dulga walked around him and headed back to class. While those two trouble-making students were probably still in there, Dulga would just deny whatever they say about her.

"Ugh. Not the best way to start the first day of class."

'Why so shy?'

The winged boy noticed the masked girl trying to pace away from him, her cloak tightened to hide her silver silk hair, as she tried to walk back into class. She was heading in the direction of 1-A. His suspicions were pretty much confirmed. But why didn't she appear at the training session? Nevertheless, the mutant quirk that allowed her to equip six arms were very much useful. It might not have been easy to control, but the fact that she was able to get into Komei meant that she had to undergo some serious training to get through. Well, maybe not that accursed exam at the beginning of the day. That was a bad excuse for an elimination because they had too many students. But in order to control all six at once without problems, her brain must have had developed for that task. Just like how he had to control six wings, each pair with specific tasks at hand. It was a difficult task, so by making into this prestigious academy, she must have had a lot of hard-work and determination. No hero without determination would make far in their course, and Acion wouldn’t even consider them worthy. She might have been different.

”Just a moment.”

He called out to the girl as he stood up straight, his wings still folded, his pace following her slowly.

”I am a visitor to your world. It occurs to me that you are one of my classmates as well. It might be beneficial to exchange our names here, for the sake of future interaction.”

His choice of words were a bit flowery, but that wasn’t so strange of him to say that. By the looks of it, she did not appear to know that he was her classmate as well, and she did not appear to be as confident as he did. An exchange in basic personal detail would be as good way to start a friendship. And then he would see if she really had that resolution of a true hero…

Reina Mori

Reina held her jumpsuit in her hands, inspecting the damage to it. Torn in several places, covered in layers of dirt, and stained in blood... it gave her pause.

She balled it up and stuffed it into a plastic bag, then tossing that into her gym bag. Would she have to ask for a new jumpsuit? Probably. She felt a tinge of guilt, sorry to whoever was in charge of making them.

The girl looked around the empty locker room, before sitting down heavily on the wooden bench that ran between the two rows of lockers. It was quiet. And lonely. She didn’t particularly enjoy it... but she did feel more comfortable than she had been in a while. She could hear her own breathing, not feeling as though she had to stifle it to erase herself as much as possible. She didn’t have to worry about bothering anyone when there was no one around to bother.

It was relaxing, if not happy.

She’d stay a little longer. Her peers in class were likely just speaking to each other about the exercise. It wasn’t like she’d have much to say—and it wasn’t like she had said much to anyone thus far. No one would miss her. Her being there would just be worse for everyone, in fact. More than just her quirk, she was aware that her disposition soured the good moods of others, even if she wasn’t directly speaking. It was awkward to have someone like her hanging out alone in a room full of people. It was uncomfortable for people who tried to be nice and involve her. She knew that.

She knew that...

Reina felt tears sting her eyes, and she quickly wiped them away with the sleeve of her uniform. Almost crying twice in one day. The dark-haired girl sighed through the lump in her throat. Maybe she could forgive herself for that one, at least—it had been a stressful day so far, and it wasn’t quite over yet...

Nah. Still pathetic. She smiled spitefully to herself. How many successful heroes had cried themselves while alone in a high school changing room? How many pitied themselves so woefully, and so often? She really didn’t like that about herself, especially; how she could never just not put herself down. No matter how much you deserve to be.

Why couldn’t she just be happy? Why couldn’t she just not be so quiet? Why couldn’t she at least pretend to be more outgoing, and more fun to be around. If only to not make others uncomfortable.

Why couldn’t she just be... more heroic?

With an apprehensive sigh, Reina stood up and grabbed her bag, double checking its contents as she grabbed her phone from a side pouch to check the time.

...Well, she had made it to Komei, even if not directly out of middle school, and even if not on her own merits. If there was no future for her as a hero, this is where she’d find out. She wouldn’t quit, not until she was expelled from the academy for a complete lack of aptitude. Maybe she could even learn to not be such a... downer. Somehow, that seemed even less likely.

The girl bit the inside of her mouth hard, leaving the locker room angry at herself for the thoughts she couldn’t stop—but also with a small hope that she could fix herself, even if only in some small way, at this new school.

Reina slipped into the classroom quietly and found her seat, focusing again on her tired quirk to keep it from pulling those in the room to her. She glanced around curiously, noticing the girl who had been in the jeep that had picked her, Jett, and Ezra up from point C. It seemed she was a classmate.

After making that mental note, however, Reina let her eyes fall to her desk, keeping to herself as she munched on a small bag of trail mix. She couldn’t help but listen in on the conversations going on. It was a colourful class, certainly—her first impression of them as a whole hadn’t been wrong. She had little doubt she was surrounded by heroes of the next generation. They all seemed to give off that impression to her, in at least one way or another.

Roy Kusayanagi

Roy could hear how lively the class was from outside the door, his eyes widened as his curiosity peaked. He opened the door and looked upon the revenants of class 1-A. A smile forming a long his face, the atmosphere sure was different from general studies, the serious tension from the exercise was gone and all he could feel was an exciting and friendly aura. His head was still hurting a bit from Ezra but it would be gone in about an hour. He nodded to a few of the classmates he knew being Donny, Mamoru, Kenichi, and of course Mina, the boy gave her a smirk as he took the 2nd seat on the far right row by the window. Though it might be strange, previously before the exercise he wouldn't have taken a seat so exposed to the sun but the training exposed how much harder he would have to train, first beginning with the amount of solar energy he could handle. He folded his cloak and placed it on his desk before taking a seat and bathing in the sun, he was around 25% energy right now so he was feeling pretty good.

After such a nerve racking test everyone seemed to have been keeping their nerves by interacting, there were some new faces though. It was kind of strange that Roy wasn't taking this chance to interact with anyone he was in his own world. He looked over to the left and saw Reina who had plopped down a couple seats from him, she was the only one who wasn't energetic. The boy got up and walked over to her, her head was down. He poked her arm, "Hey..you alive?" He said as he gently poked her.

Something was strange about, the way she had her head down. Also when he poked her, he could feel she was a little tense. Was she upset with how she did? She did seem to be making faces in the nurses office and not because of Kiwis weird quirk. He sat backwards in the chair infront of Reina, facing towards her. If she was to raise her head they would meet eye to eye.

"You alright?"
Final Verdict

Soon enough Yoshida Sensei, Jais and the principal Hisakawa entered, Yoshida already disturbed by the ruckus.

"Keep it down Keep it down. Everyone take your seats we are going to go over the results of the Exercise"

Principal Hiwasaka had a smile as he held his hands behind his back, he was quite excited to go over the results of the training, once everyone was seated L guardian pulled down the projector screen and placed his device on his desk. On the screen it showed the 3 points, Point A had a red color to hit symbolizing that it was under team Alpha's Control while Point C had a Blue Color symbolizing it was under Team Deltas Control. Point B was greyed out symbolizing nobody was here.

Jais simply stood by the door near the front right desk, his hands behind his back, cradling his cane. He knew these kids were in for an earful. Many of the points they discussed before he full heartedly agreed on. But...he knew the kids still had potential. He felt odd having to stand back while Yoshida Sensei was in control the class… as he did for so many years before, but it was a nice change of pace now.
.
"The Exercise came out to a tie. Alpha having control of A and Delta having control of C. It is never a bad thing to review what you guys did good as well as the mistakes… The oh so bountiful amount of mistakes. There were cameras implemented throughout the training Echo allowing me to watch everything. He looked from left to right as he began.

"So lets begin, the battle between Motome Fumika and Yoshida Kenichi. For the record me and Young Yoshida are not related." He said as he pressed a button on his device displaying a video tape of the battle.

“Kenichi you fought well but surely you will not always be able to let loose like that anywhere, battles with villains take place anywhere with or without pedestrians around. You have power and speed, but you forget to use your brain in the heat of battle. The amount of risks you take are absurd and unnecessary, that is why the battle was so close between you and Motome.”

“As for you Motome, you rely heavily on your quirk. Pros don’t have just one trick up their sleeve, they are able to adapt to their surroundings. Remember that for future reference, as for your performance. You reacted and took advantage of the mistakes Kenichi did which was well done.”

"Next, Mamoru Akasha and Sen Kimoto, both students were pretty much did near nothing, taking each other out early on in the exercise. Mamoru attack was incredibly stupid and reckless, jumping head first not even knowing what opponent could do. Miraculously she manage to take an enemy down though at the cost of being out of the game. I believe she learned her lesson..hopefully" The clip changed to Mamoru crashing into the windshield of the car with her shield.

Jais cleared his throat“Not to mention hurling massive equipment at your fellow students when that dust cloud was blocking even their vision. While you miss. Akasha have the ability to stop them with your shield with no repercussions… your fellow students do not. You must be aware of what you do and how it can affect your opponent. Even in the real world, we are to apprehend the villains. Not kill them. “ He glanced back at Yoshida and nodded for him to continue.

"Sen Kimoto, however didn't last long, barely past the 10 minute mark. Poor kid suffered at the hands of Mamoru, just pitiful but at least he saved the rest of his team from Mamoru, or who knows what else could have been injured or even dead." The screen changed to Sen releasing his gas and knocking Mamoru out.

"Lysander Mordred, though he didn't put on display much for his team at all, he did show heroism when escaping the crumbling building of C saving opponents of the opposite team, but sadly he let his achievements get the better of him and forgot this was still an exercise." On the screen everyone could see Lysander saving Roy and Ezra from the crumbling building as the hamsterball they were in crashed into the ground followed by Ezra clocking Lysander on the back of the head. “Spicy”

"Jett Haven, and Ezra Jasekade. I would say next to Kenichi Yoshida, these two started out good but ended poorly. Completely forgetting this was training and getting into a pointless battle that was purely for entertainment, just plain Childish. Why fight like that when you already knew who was the physically stronger of the two, the two of you just as much at fault as anyone else for not winning.” The projector changed to the clip of Jett and Ezra fist fighting each other. “I guess Boys will be Boys”

”On the other hand, both students were valuable assets to their team. Once they both were out the outcome of this match was predictable. A good idea using a vehicle though one I will not let slide again, where did you even learn to hotwire a car?" He said as he turned to Jais.

At which Jais shook his head and raised his hands to stop that idea flat. “It wasn’t from me..” defending himself. pointing to his temple, which only the teachers knew that he was blind. He looked to Jett, who had shrunken down in his seat some. “He had a rebellious stage a few years ago because of a certain crush he had.”

"This fight was very interesting to me, reminding me of my old school days. A good ole mano-a-mano, entertaining though in the end fruitless. Easily Ezra could have finished this fight yet he decided to indulge in his own interests as well as giving his opponent a chance. The screen showed the brutal punches between the two, as well as the decisive headbutt. "Very reckless"

Jais nodded to all of this, “It did seem oddly...familiar.” He said with a tiny smirk. Glancing at his old friend. “ Although, Mr. Jasekade and Mr.Haven...” Trying to distance himself from his Grandson in the classroom setting. “... Did show the grit needed among Heros to finish what they started...no matter how foolish and childish their rules were for this fight. The ability to fight on no matter how tired, Hungry, or wounded. BUT This was training, nearly killing each other is not acceptable.”

"Acion Nakamiji, I'd say listened and stuck to his strengths the best, putting his mobility and ability to attack from long rage on display. Sadly, you take away these 2 things and his effectiveness on the battlefield is halved. He went against someone who was capable of doing this, exposing his weakness.”

”Reina Mori.” The principal said with a smile,

”Possessing an incredible powerful quirk, you must already know your lack of control will be detrimental in the future. Luckily you were able to let loose in a controlled setting but in a city. Surely you will do more bad than good at this point in time, expand your awareness of your surroundings...thought for that was the only flaw I would point out. Your decision making and reactions while you battled Nakamiji was effective.”

“She did show true bravery in slowing the crane long enough for her teammates to escape. A true hero in the making here. Instead of running away from danger, she ran towards it without second guessing. Everyone should take a page from her book. “ Jais added. Looking directly at her.

’Toni sparks, a young bright soul and a true delight to have around though you are heavily invested in yourself. Your technique with your quirk is creative and quite impressive for your age, what I like most is your bright attitude though by being so invested in yourself you let your guard down was literally taken outside of the fight.” He said with a smile, folding his arms. The screen displayed Toni’s control with metal as she fought against Jett, and also when she got teleported away by Jett.

Jais took over at this moment by looking at his Grandson. He already told him this after the nurse's office, but it would be good for the other students. “ Mr. Haven you did show the ability to push on on after one of your teammates got hurt after one of your...Stunts …” A video of Jett launching his ‘acquired’ mode of transportation into C and creating the dust cloud . “While the original idea was a good plan to give your teammates cover while they spread out while getting them there quickly. It did...“ More video of construction vehicles rolling around and a crane falling “...go horribly wrong.” With it ending with Mamoru smashing in the window. “That was an indirect result of you decisions. After acquiring the help needed continued to fight without prodding.”

Looking to Acion. “Something you should take note of young man. We must press on even in the most dire of situations.”

“However, Because you were stupid enough to waste your energy in one shot...No pun intended.” He glanced over to Ms. sparks. [color=ed1c24]“ All because you felt you owed something to Miss. sparks because of an ‘incident’ You were then unprepared to fight Mr. Jasekade. Which could have turned the tide in your favor. Considering the injuries you received afterwards, and if you were not in a ‘semi controlled situation with the help of the beautiful miss Kiwi. You surely would have died because of this horrible mistake. “

“Mina Kasuke, great quirk control as well as close combat skills to go with it. Proving to be quite a handful with her ability, she was able to defeat Roy at Point A because of her superior skills, though she nearly failed because she looked down on her opponent. That's how heroes get killed in the field, confidence is valuable thing to have but overconfidence can become a weakness” L guardian said as the screen changed to the Roy fighting Mina.

”Roy Kusayanagi, a rather interesting quirk being able to make objects out of Solar energy. A versatile ability indeed being able to adjust to almost any situation, though your decision making and lack of thinking outside the box bottlenecks your potential.

“The final attack you pulled at point A was an extremely desperate and poor choice leading to your defeat, it was just disgraceful if it was a real fight you would have been buried 6 feet under.”

”Donny Yang, your display was quite odd indeed, you went off somewhere in the beginning of the match nowhere the rest of your team mates.”

“Though you managed to do what you setout to do in the beginning of the match in demolishing point B like you said you would, a decent idea...for a villain. As a hero, keeping destruction to a low is a condition you should always strive for. Instead you caused the most destruction out of everyone here by toppling a whole building and possibly could have incapacitated your classmates in the process.”

“Each of you have a whole lot of work to do before you can even think of being able to become a pro” He said as the projector turned off.

“The bell will ring in about 15 minutes, for homework I want you to read the handbook for class 1-A. It contains the rules and guidelines of our class as well as the school and dorms. It also contains information on the facilities we have on grounds such as the Lunchroom, gym, and training facilities as well as their operating hours...also don't worry about your gym clothes, hero costumes will be distributed tomorrow” He said as he began putting the projector. Yoshida's guardian began passing the books out to each of the students, it looked like something straight out of harry potter.

“That is all for today” He said as he left the room.

"Have a wonderful day everyone, Welcome to Komei academy and keep up the hard work!"

“Don’t encourage them after that fiasco…” Jais said softly to Hisakawa. With a smile on his face.

Dulga Tarata

"Seriously? You're following me and talking like that?" Dulga mostly ignored the winged boy as she walked back to class. Now that she thought of it, did he follow her to the bathroom? Now Dulga was throughly creeped out. Last time someone tried to follow her around, she broke their kneecaps. Granted she did that in a panic, but she did so very easily. He wanted to know her name and apparently they were classmates. "Of course. Because all the weirdos are in my class." Sighing Dulga stopped and faced the boy, most of her face still hidden underneath her hood and mask. "Tarata. Now stop following me." Turning back around Dulga walked to class.

She managed to get inside just before the three teachers did. She took her seat and made no attempts to draw further attention to herself as they reviewed what happened. Apparently Dulga missed out on a team deathmatch with the students of A1. This sadden Dulga: despite her own reluctance at social interactions she was always willing to fight a good fight. Ever since what happened to her mother, Dulga promised herself to never run from a fight. In any case Dulga watched the clips of the fight which allowed her to learn everyone's name, powers, and how they fought. What caught Dulga's attention the most was what happened at Point C; not just the sheer destruction but what followed after. It seemed like everyone was just lost after Mamoru and Sen took each other out. Even the fights afterwards seemed more like a friendly spar than a real fight which bothered Dulga. She knew it was just training so trying to kill or seriously hurt each other wasn't what they were suppose to do... But they had to take it seriously. If some madman was causing destruction in his truck and a hero died from it, they couldn't stand around in shock. They needed to act.

"Well, I guess it's easier for me to think that since I wasn't there. I could say a lot of things, but I wasn't there to really know how it was like."

Another thing that caught Dulga's interest was the destruction of Point B. Not merely the fight but the entire place going down. That was some real destructive potential there, even though it was a very deadly act as the teachers said. Even Dulga wasn't sure how she could pull off something like that; she may have super strength but it's not like she was strong enough to destroy sky scrapers. Though what also caught her interest was someone who was there: Ezra. Right after Lysander had saved him and Roy, Ezra wasted no time knocking out Lysander, his opponent. It was a dirty trick but Dulga had to agree that she would have done the same. Perhaps it wasn't "heroic" but a hero had to get the job done. Sometimes it meant resorting to dirty tricks. At least someone remembered what they were there for.

"I wonder how that building collapsed anyways. Just what did Donny do?"

Finally Dulga learned the name of the girl who gave her the new cellphone. Mina didn't really seem like a strong hero to Dulga, physically looking like a dainty little girl, and even her quirk seemed to be little more than a light show. However Mina made up for her lack of strength with sheer skill which was something Dulga respected. Dulga was a little bit of the opposite; while she knows how to fight, she doesn't have any refined martial arts training, just six arms and a lot of strength. Though Dulga was much better at guns than hand-to-hand. Dulga was interested in fighting Mina now just to see how she'd fare. If Dulga wanted to get stronger, she needed to be able to fight all sorts of enemies, even "weaker" ones.

"There's a lot more to Mina than meet's the eye. Maybe I should try to talk to her later and see what other surprises she has."

ACION

"Gone so soon. Perhaps fate mean differently when I think you are an interesting one. But still, we are both in the same class."

He muttered under his breathe as she headed into his classroom, confirming his suspicion.

"She might appear hostile and hidden, but within that mask and cloak may be traces of a true heroic spirit...Time will tell that soon enough."

Noticing the teachers coming towards him, he knew that it was time for review. He quickly returned to his seat and listened intently as all three observers of the match both gave commendations and criticisms. Acion did receive commendation for sticking to his strength, which was speed and agility, but he did realize that aside from that fact, he was pretty much powerless in a close quarter fight. Knowing the flexibility and unpredictability of situations in real life, he would, sooner or later, meet an opponent where his speed and agility were more or less negated. If that happened, he would want to at least hold it on his own instead of getting beaten up without putting up a fight. That was something he needed to improve. Stamina was ok, in fact, it was much better than he had expected. Maneuverability was fabulous, although not perfect. Strength was what he still lacked. And in his mind, he had already set in mind what he should be doing for the rest of this course. You need proper grasp of the future in order to perfect yourself.

Time to review others as well. There were lots of interesting fights indeed. Possibly the one between Fumika and Kenichi was the one he found most interesting. Being able to fare against that 'main character', that blonde girl was a worthy fighter, no doubt. Jett's and Ezra's fight were a bit too personal and brutal. The Roy and Mina fight. It wasn't too significant, but what caught his attention was Mina's abilities. Her power was fairly unimpressive. Only capable of glowing and using weak lasers. And yet she took Roy down without much injuries, unlike his fight with Reina. She compensated her quirk's uneffectiveness by raw skills. It was a notable thing. Acion may need to consult her for some martial art training. He wasn't very used to it. If only Aurelia was here to teach him.

'Sister...'

Acion shook his head as images of his older sibling came into mind. She was beautiful, stubborn yet very powerful. However, he and she did not get along well back in the days, until he was nine. He could never forget that day, on that hill. It was a faithful day indeed, a day when broken hearts were mended completely. But she soon moved away to study a faraway middle school, and then boarded at Komei until her graduation. She did not have a lot of time to train Acion martial arts, something in which he deeply regretted.

Now's not the time for that though. Back to the review. Acion found good impression in Lysander's heroic action. A shame that his teammate, Ezra, knocked him out using some...not so impressive tricks. Sure, it was for the sake of the Delta team, but that left a bad taste in Acion. Dirty tricks should not be used so hastily, if not want to say that it should not be used at all, even to villains if they were courtageous enough.

Overshadowing Lysander, however, was Reina. Oh dear lord, he did not know what truly happened when he dashed towards her. He thought she was just caught randomly inside that avalanche. He did not know that she selflessly went in there to save her team, and his own team as well! Marvelous! He was convinced now, that he was proven wrong the whole time. She had great potential strength, she had tremendous will and resolution, and she even harbored a sense of selflessness. Who could be a better hero than that?

When the class finished, he wasted no time packing his stuff and headed to where Reina was. He felt that his commendations back then weren't enough. He wanted to get to know the girl, and learn from her selflessness. After all, a hero deserved to be friend with another hero.

"I've seen what you did. And I believe you are truly eligible to become a friend of mine."

He might have sounded a little bit boastful, but it was the truth.

"You have probably known my name, but I think I should properly introduce myself. My name is Acion Nakamiji. It would be a great pleasure to establish friendship with you."

Kasuke Mina

Mina listened to Mamoru's story with a stupefied glare and glazed eyes, and fer face frozen into a look of scorn. 'Unimpressed' would be the wrong word, though 'impressed' still somehow became the exact opposite of what Mina was feeling for the pink haired girl right now. At the end of the story Mina showed a slight, wry grin that was almost a grimace, and muttered "Well, at least you'll easily find work as a storyteller when you fail this Hero course."

Not even 'if' she failed. 'when'. Ouch.

It was at trhat moment when Donny came over, and Mina visibly relaxed, and no longer looked cold or on her guard. She stood up and whispered in his ear. "The gym clothes I borrowed under Point B. There's only one boy in this class who wears clothes that size. I'll wash them and give them to you tomorrow morning,

Darkmatter."

Sitting back down, she was about to tell Mamoru her accounts of events, then the teacher walked back in , and proceeded to explain the result of the exercise and everybody's actions. Well, that saved her the trouble, and gave her a more complete picture of what had happened AND everybody else's quirks. Of course, on part visibly irked her, and that was getting called overconfident. She didn't almost lose because she underestimated Roy. She was on her guard the whole time, trying to figure out his quirk. That's why she almost lost. Not because of 'overconfidence'. Knowing exactly how good you are is not 'overconfidence', and Mina knew that everybody else would have to step up in order to keep up with her if the only negative point Mina had received on the entire exercise was the same thing she'd heard from teachers and classmates her entire life; 'We can't fault your ability, but we don't like your stuck-up attitude.'

She'd almost been looking forward to becoming a small fish in a big pond, that could let her grow into a massive fish, but this was just...more of the same, and she wasn't going to slow down just to let everyone else catch up. She wouldn't become the number one Hero like that.

Mamoru Aksha

”Uh huh! Always good to have options, yeah?” Mamoru didn’t realize Mina’s insult and took it as as complement. She whispered something to Donny which made Mamoru curious, but before she could ask what it was about the teachers came in. It was time to review what happened at Training Ground Echo! Mamoru returned to her seat and watched the clips with great interest. She was eager to know what happened while she was out. Even as the teachers critizied her methods, Mamoru didn’t seem too annoyed or bothered. She was just glad that they noticed her efforts.

”Eh heh. Whoopsie me~” Mamoru watched the clip of what really happened at Point C. To be fair she wasn’t really trying too hard to think or remember about it; she had a vague idea of what she did and filled in the blanks herself. So while maybe she wasn’t exactly struck by the truck so much as she lunged at it, she had to admit, she felt pretty badass in hindsight. She got first win! Plus it made her feel randy as hell thinking that maybe some of the others would see what she did and rightfully be fearful of her power. Sure she couldn’t do a lot of impressive things with her quirk, but she certainly had the moxie to do what others consider the unthinkable.

”To be fair senseis, I really don’t know what the others from Team Alpha were capable of. All I saw was a big metal truck driving dangerously in a dust cloud and I wanted to stop it. Though I will make sure that next time I’ll fight smarter and not get myself eliminated so soon!” Mamoru sounded so cheery, yet it also felt like she was still missing the point. Mamoru watched the rest of the clips with awe, feeling very disappointed that she missed out on all this action. Especially learning that Reina, the super quiet girl that Mamoru had not noticed at all, was actually pretty badass. Mamoru felt that perhaps she needed to think less like herself and more like Reina. While Mamoru also jumped into danger head on without hesitation, the reason she did so was far less considerate than Reina.

The clips also showed a lot of what Jett did. Mamoru couldn’t help but feel a lot of what went wrong was inadvertantly his fault. Mamoru wouldn’t have crashed into a windshield if he didn’t bring a truck along and drove like a madman, after all. Plus it seemed like he was just toying around with everyone; his “fight” with Toni merely moved her out from Point C, and he ended up getting into a slugfest with Ezra instead of trying to recover his stamina or regroup with the others. But in the end, Jett was just doing everything he could, and so was Mamoru.

As the presentation went on Mamoru also glanced at Acion. He talked fancy and made a big show of himself, but she felt his involvement was oddly miniscule. While ultimately the winner in his fight against Reina, he didn’t really leave Point C or worked with the rest of his team. Mamoru had hoped that keeping everyone at Point C would allow them to fight with eachother; Acion for example could have brought Toni back to Point C in a flash after Jett had warped away with her. And even as powerful as Reina was, she obviously wasn’t going to start a fight without some prompting. Acion could have just ignored Reina since she wasn’t going to fight on her own and focus on Jett, who was a more active threat.

In fact a theme Mamoru noticed, and that she is also guilty of, is how little synergy everyone had. They all fought their opponents by themselves or were working alone. Kenichi lost Point A because he rushed in without backup, Roy was defeated by Mina because he also went in alone and pulled off a big all-or-nothing attack, Acion dueled Reina and learned that she was a solid counter to him, and Toni just had bad luck against an opponent who had super mobility. Mamoru herself considered the things she could have done if she had simply waited for her teammates to rally. She could have flown above the dust cloud with Acion and stalk the truck from above. With Toni she could have tossed some of the rubble in the way of the truck or those inside of it. If Kenichi stayed back they could have worked together to keep the rest of Team Alpha stuck on their truck and the rest of their team could pelt them from afar. The possibilities were endless, but Mamoru could only think of what she could have done herself, rather than what they could have done together.

”Well, no need to worry about stuff like that. We’ll all improve and that’s all that matters!” The teachers ended their presentation, assigned the homework, and now they had fifteen minutes before the next class. Mamoru then went over and sought out Reina, an eager look on her face. Mamoru wasn’t even next to Reina when she started gushing about her. ”That was so cool Reina-chan! You were flying around and tossing stuff like a super psychic!” Mamoru felt herself literally drawn to Reina, not that she realized that it had anything to do with Reina’s quirk. Mamoru then also noticed the black orbs rotating around Reina; honestly considering all the weird stuff at this school, Mamoru had completely missed out on this. Poking one of the black orbs Mamoru continued to gush on Reina.

”I thought Acion-kun would be the king of air combat, and yet you’d did your thing and fought him in his own turf! Just, swoosh, right into the sky with him ready to knock him out of his sky! Damn, just think, if you had found my shield in that truck you could have really given Acion-kun a bad day! I mean granted Acion-kun might’ve lost so in a way I’m glad you didn’t, but still with all that hustle you pulled you really showed what sort of a badass you are!”

Donny Yang

Donny’s face would have grown red if he had blood. Mina was so close to him, and even though they were practically all over each other during their fight, it was much more different now that Donny was in his meat bag. Not only that but she was able to figure out who he really was. Of course that didn’t really surprise Donny, it was inevitable really. Hearing that she was going to wash and return them to him made him feel more embarrassed than he really should have. What was he expecting her to do, keep them? ”O-Okay.” Donny was completely tongue tied and couldn’t even say a thing by the time the teachers came in. Donny just returned to his seat without another word, not even a goodbye.

”Oh god…” Donny hide his face in his hands. He couldn’t bare to watch as the teachers started talking about the fights. He had no idea they were being recorded this whole time. Even if his only clips of him included him crawling underneath a truck, they had a recording of all of Point B falling into the ground. He couldn’t even deny involvement because they called him out specifically for it’s destruction. He was almost speechless. ”I… I at least t-t-t-t-t-told everyone t-to l-l-l-leave first…” But he knew it was a weak excuse. It wasn’t as if he was just threatening them, and in fact he would have caused the whole thing to fall without letting anyone know had he not had a moment of weakness and felt guilty for what he was about to do. Donny wasn’t sure if he should feel bad for being called a villain or angry that they ignored his attempts to scare off the ones at Alpha.

While he was still sulking, Donny looked back towards Mina. By now she should surely be able to easily put together who he was and what he was doing. The look on his face was that of extreme guilt and desperation, as if wordlessly asking her for sympathy. Yet Donny turned away from her shortly after, knowing that he didn’t deserve such a thing. Sure, technically Point B only fell after the other students had started causing more damage to the foundation, but that wouldn’t have been a problem if Donny hadn’t also sabotaged the whole place beforehand. And sure, he saved Mina from her live burial and even saved her modesty by giving her his gym clothes, but neither of those things would’ve happened if he wasn’t such a mad man and made her chase him into the pipes. And seeing the sheer destruction at Point C, if Donny just wasn’t so damn insecure about letting people see his true form, maybe he could have helped his teammates win their battles more cleanly.

It made Donny feel especially guilty seeing Acion getting thrashed and fighting so hard against Reina. While Donny didn’t know Acion too well, and he frankly though the six-winged student was a weirdo, he seemed like a respectable guy. Donny could have helped him, but instead he was off plotting the death of anyone at Point B. Acion was definitely a weirdo, but he also was the type of guy who at least followed the rules of what it meant to be a hero. Unlike Donny, who at the time was more focused on winning.

Soon Mr. Yoshida turned off the projector, turned on the lights, and gave his final thoughts to everyone. He was certainly right: everyone had a long road ahead of them before they could even dream of being a pro hero. The student handbook was given to everyone, though it was more like a student textbook. The bell for the next class would be in fifteen minutes, giving everyone time to talk about their battle. Donny just sunk into his chair and hoped no one questioned him about what happened at Point B. He just wasn’t sure how he’d handle it. Instead he opened the handbook and started reading, hoping that maybe no one would bother him then.

”Ugh… Lunch can’t come fast enough, and I’m all out of snacks. This fucking sucks…”

As Ezra knelt and explained himself, Fumika nodded, giving a quiet "Oh." Indeed, his explanation made sense, and now that she thought about it, the structural blueprints she had of most people she'd recorded had similar space between their knuckles, so his explanation of the sound made sense, even if she was too exhausted to verify it by recording him herself. Of course, her questions were now answered, so it didn't really bother her when Jett approached and addressed the not-tree himself, striking up a conversation of their own. It sounded like they'd gotten into a fight during the exercise, but she stopped paying attention shortly after that point because the mean Yoshida walked into the room, accompanied by two people she didn't recognize.

As the map popped up, Fumika froze, then blinked, then stared very intently, as if this would reveal everything. Then she realized that she had no idea what any of the colors on it were supposed to indicate, so she had no idea what it meant - at least, until the teacher explained. As she'd feared, the attack force she'd advised hadn't been able to take Point C, but even more surprising was that, somehow, they'd lost Point B despite having half of their entire team aiming to take it. But if they'd lost it, why hadn't Delta Squad taken control of it? That didn't really make any sense.

She would have probably gotten distracted by that train of thought, but she heard her own name and immediately snapped back to focus, her antenna sticking straight up as if standing at attention. And, what she was met with was... A video of her own battle against Kenichi? She stared intently at the screen, watching play by play as her own struggle was televised. With each blow she saw delivered, she remembered all too keenly the feeling of the world seeming to spin and shake, the pain digging into her very bones, and the creeping fatigue that made it hard to even stand. And yet, despite that...

As the mean Yoshida summarized her performance, she couldn't bring herself to disagree with his assessment. Throughout that battle, she had been entirely dependent on her Quirk's abilities. The only reason she'd managed to settle the fight in the first place was because she'd stolen the strength of others. She'd held her own because of one simple trick, and she hadn't fully been able to live up to her vow to beat the nice Yoshida with her own strength alone. Her antenna drooped in disappointment as she reached up instinctively to tug at the ends of her hair, but her hands dropped slowly back down to her sides.

She hadn't quite managed to do what she'd wanted. She could have done better. She had so far to go before she herself could stand on her own two feet as a hero, without hiding behind anyone or relying on their strength to carry her through. But still... Seeing that battle again...

So then... I should be able to win here, right? Even if it means relying on my Quirk... I want... I want to win!

Your choice... WASN'T WRONG!

Even if she'd depended on others, he'd said her choice wasn't wrong. He'd told her that the strength she'd used was her own. And in the end, the one who'd settled the fight really had been her. The attack that had beaten him wasn't a fake, or some impersonal trick, but had been delivered entirely with her own power.

Then you have a goal. No matter what happens, don't give up on it, okay?

It's not about your Quirk, it's not about comparin' yourself to other people all the time. All that matters is the work you put in! Just like All Might says, we've got to go even further beyond--Plus Ultra!

He'd told her that even if she wasn't as strong as him or Haruka, she could get stronger. That what mattered wasn't the weakness she was born with, but rather the effort she put in. He'd said that if she just did her best, then she could really become the kind of person she wanted to be - that she could be more than just an imitation!

I did it, Haruka... See? You were right... I really can be... strong...

She'd told her that there wasn't anything to be afraid of... that she could stand on her own two feet alongside real heroes, and hold her head proud. She'd given her everything - her life, her hopes, her dreams, her everything. So, even if she still had a way to go, that was fine, right? Because...

By the time I next see you face-to-face, I want to know exactly how it is you became such a great Hero, Fumi.

Because at that moment, her eyes had been burning with determination. Because at that moment, even if she was in pain, even if she couldn't stand on her own, she still hadn't given up. Because at that moment, she'd looked just like the person she admired most.

Because at that moment, Motome Fumika had looked cool, just like a real hero!

So, nervous though she might have been, she didn't fret. She didn't fuss. But she did something she felt like she hadn't done in a very long time, perhaps not since the accident that had set her down this path and brought her to this point. For the first time since her arrival at Komei, Fumika didn't just blankly stare, or give a faint grin, or one of her usual understated displays of emotion. Rather, the girl beamed with joy, her face flushed with pride, and her eyes glimmering with hope. Yes... She'd have a lot of things to tell Haruka about today. And maybe... just maybe... This wouldn't be as hard as she'd thought.

As the debriefing continued, Fumika was still feeling a bit hazy. It was as if a heavy weight had been lifted from her chest, and she could finally breathe freely. Her heart just felt so warm at that moment that it might have burst. She wasn't used to feeling this way, didn't really understand why she was feeling so many things in that one moment in the first place. And yet, she didn't dislike it. She'd earned this.

Still, she was curious about how the rest of the exercise had gone, and so did her best to pay attention to the results at the other two points. What she saw certainly surprised her. She'd thought that she'd taken things too far in her fight against the nice Yoshida at first, but... She couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt as she watched what had unfolded in the initial charge at Point C. She'd told them to attack directly, but... She'd guided them headlong into a terrifying trap. The fact that Sen had gotten hurt so badly was her fault for sending him into danger, right? And it was no wonder that both sides had lost Point B - the entire building had been destroyed! She stared in disbelief. She wasn't sure if even Haruka could bring down such a large building in one attack. But who had done it in the first place? She'd seen almost all of the enemy team's members in the recordings, so that did narrow it down, but...

Jett's second fight was next. Although the teachers criticized him for fighting recklessly, Fumika couldn't help but be impressed. She hadn't had any real training in martial arts herself, but she'd seen martial artists before, and had done her best to copy as many of their tricks as she could. As such, she could clearly tell. Even though the not-tree boy, Ezra, was clearly the stronger of the two, Jett's control over his balance and center of mass was definitely better. Managing to throw somebody who probably weighed almost twice as much as he did, and who was definitely stronger... That was even better than the trick she'd used to throw Yoshida in her fight! She'd have to figure out how to apply the leverage right, in case she needed to break out of a hold like that...

But before she could get distracted, another fight popped up on the screen. The six-winged boy was up against the nice girl who'd shown her where the door was - Reina. From the moment the fight began, Fumika found herself grimacing in sympathy. That bird-boy... He would be a terrible opponent for most people, herself included. If there was no way to reach him or get him out of the air, then he could just attack with impunity. Although she somehow managed to throw a few projectiles his way with surprising speed, she couldn't seem to inflict enough damage to bring him down. The fight was less of a battle and more of a one-sided assault, as her airborne enemy strafed her over and over again, while she simply seemed to be running for cover. Fumika frowned. It was such an uneven fight... She was trying as hard as she could, and yet... There obviously wasn't anything she could do. It was hard to see the look on Reina's face through all the dust and chaos, but Fumika didn't need to in order to know that it must have looked exactly like her own crestfallen expression when she'd realized how outmatched she really was, be it against Yoshida or against Haruka. Even so... she wasn't giving up either. Even though she couldn't do anything to stop him, she was still... Wait, what even was she doing? Why was she standing on that door? Now she was climbing on top of a truck? She must have been trying to attack him somehow, but how? Her Quirk... what did it do again? She seemed to recall her hand sticking to her when she had reached out to get Reina's attention...

Fumika gasped out loud as she realized just a moment early what was about to happen. The door slammed into Reina and carried her upward into the air, and the blonde grimaced, remembering all too clearly the pain of the similar impact she'd taken from Yoshida's punches. She'd known that would happen, and yet she was willing to go through with it, just for a chance to win...? That was so... so cool!

She found herself literally on the edge of her seat, watching and hoping desperately that Reina would be able to do it. With each blow exchanged between the two, she could see the pain in their faces, could feel the intensity of the fight. But neither one of them gave up. Even though she was injured, even though she was at a huge disadvantage, even though she could hardly stand... Reina kept on fighting. She'd had it even worse than Fumika herself had, and she was still...

Fumika frowned. Reina fell to the ground, defeated. That wasn't right. That wasn't right at all. She'd been just like a Hero, had done everything in her power to succeed, had kept fighting no matter the cost. She'd even thrown herself in the way of falling debris to protect her team, had managed to take the fight to Acion in the air despite all his speed and power. She'd managed to drag him down, had been so creative and determined and strong... Why was it, then, that she'd lost? That wasn't how it was supposed to be! That wasn't right! She was so cool, so why... Why did she look so sad?

Jett and Toni's fight cheered her up a bit. As she watched, she couldn't help but stare in awe as his figure blurred and flickered across the camera feed, while his opponent flew high in the air, raining showers of debris. Her eyes had the same sort of awe and wonder as a small child watching pro heroes for the first time, and really, why wouldn't she look that way? That was so cool! To be able to move instantaneously, or to control objects like that... And the way they fought was so fast! Repelling herself off of objects she'd placed in advance? That was really clever, and so useful! And Jett... He just tackled her out of the air like it was nothing, knowing she'd have to break their fall! Throwing his life into danger, confident of what the outcome would be... That was the way a real pro had to act, right? That was so cool, so cool, so cool! And yet, she couldn't fully shake her mind off of what she'd seen, or the way Reina hung her head as she sat alone closer to the front of class. It wasn't right that she was so sad. It wasn't right at all. Fumika knew how she felt, but... Hadn't she realized? Didn't she see how cool she'd looked?

The rest of the debriefing was a blur. Apparently, the empty man was the one who had brought down Point B, which confirmed her suspicions that he was dangerous. Mina was praised for taking Point A, but for reasons Fumika herself couldn't understand, that actually made her a little upset. If Yoshida had still been there, Mina definitely would have lost. ...Huh? What was she thinking again?

...When the debriefing finally ended, Fumika wasted no time. A serious look on her face, she stood up, then marched straight down towards the front of the room. Other people were gathering closeby, but she paid them no mind, shoving or slipping her way right between them. Thus, seemingly out of nowhere, she suddenly barged right in and stood directly over Reina, staring at her with an unreadable, yet somehow sad look on her face. She needed to know... She needed to understand how cool she was. Even if she hadn't won, she'd done so much... It wasn't right to let it end this way. For once, she finally knew how somehow felt... She knew that she was sad, but how could she make her feel better? How would she have made herself feel better? She wracked her brains, but in the end, there was only one thing she could think of.

In her own self-assessment, Fumika wasn't a smart person. If anything, she was always the weird one, the one who watched and watched but could never understand anything, or anyone. To be honest, it made her kind of sad, too. No matter how many times she tried to talk to people, she never knew what to say, or what to do. No matter how much she thought and thought about what to do, whatever she chose would always be wrong. That was why she only ever did what other people told her to do - because then, at least, she was sure to make somebody happy by doing what she knew they wanted. This was different, though. Suddenly, she understood someone else's feelings completely, but she had no idea what it was she needed to do, what it was that Reina needed to hear... She didn't like deciding things for herself, but this wasn't right. It wasn't right to let Reina be sad.

So, completely out of the blue, she reached out, wrapped her arms around Reina, and gave her the biggest hug she could.

"Good fight, Reina. You were cool," She said. Her voice was as calm, quiet, gentle, and tired-sounding as always, but... The way she said those words was filled with nothing but pride and admiration for her teammate. To be honest, she felt terrible. She wanted to do more, wished she knew how to do more... But this was all she could think of. All she could do was hope that it would be enough.

Dulga Tarata

Soon class was coming to an end. The teachers gave out their assignments and all the other students went about mingling with each other. Dulga looked down at the "Handbook" they were meant to read and sighed. She wasn't a very fast reader and hated the idea that she needed to learn this entire book by tomorrow. But it wasn't as if she had anything important to do tonight, so she'd just have to get comfortable and read as much as she could. As Dulga put her things away she was about to leave when she looked up and noticed the blonde girl, Mina, sitting not too far form her. Mina seem annoyed about something and Dulga wondered why. She thought back to the presentation and tried to remember what Mina might have done which could bother her. It wasn't until Dulga watched the teachers leave that she realized that maybe it was more about what the teachers said. They were pretty critical about how everyone fought. Dulga understood the need for criticism; compliments and kind words can't fix mistakes after all. But in Dulga's eyes, she wasn't underestimating Roy: While some might've thought Mina was toying around with him, Dulga could easily recognize that Mina was playing it safe, even if it meant not doing as much damage as she could against him. It was the only smart thing to do when you can't win a straight up fight.

"Kasuke-san..." Dulga said quietly as she walked up behind Mina. Dulga wasn't really sure what to say or how to start this conversation. Normally all she'd do is give her name and maybe a few comments about whatever the subject was. Dulga has almost never started a conversation herself. Not to mention that annoying guy, Jett, was sitting next to Mina. Dulga didn't want to stay here any longer than she had to, less she do something she'll regret in a moment of frustration. Putting her fingers to her mask Dulga though of what to say and then said it. "You fought well. I'd like to hear how you did it." Simple and to the point. No need for needless words or to butter her up. Dulga told Mina what she thought, and then told her what she wanted. Smiling underneath her mask Dulga considered this a good job before she left to go get some more water.

Kasuke Mina

Mina was indeed looking back at Donny when the report covered him, and gave him a slight emotionless nod. There may have been a subtle twitch of a smile there, but it was hard to be certain. What was certain is that her manner wasn't mocking, which must mean it was meant to be supportive, though Mina wasn't very good at that.

Unfortunately, her mood was still soured once class had ended and she'd been given the book. She'd read this tonight, sure. That's when she felt somebody approach her. She turned to see that it was Dulga, who asked her how she fought, and then walked away. Um. Okay. Mina got up, and followed her, unsure whether to answer the question now, reprimand her for just walking away, or just to wait until she stopped. She picked the third option, and when Dulga did finally stop, Mina answered.

"That wasn't me fighting well. I didn't want to rush into a fight without knowing what Roy's quirk was. That was me testing and feeling for information. You haven't seen me fighting well," Mina stated simply, while smoothing a stray strand of hair back into place.

As for how I fight; I've been trained in MMA and self-defence since I was three years old. I could beat my teacher by the time I was twelve. What about you? You don't get in through recommendations for nothing. Can you fight?"

Dulga Tarata

Dulga glanced back at Mina followed her out of the class and towards the water fountain. Apparently Mina wanted to talk to Dulga right now. That was fine, at least Mina wasn't stalking her like Acion was. Leaning into the water fountain Dulga took off her mask and had a few sips of water. She listened to Mina explain what she did and it confirmed a few of Dulga's thoughts about Mina too. First to proved to Dulga that Mina was a smart fighter, wisely trying to gauge the strength of her enemy first instead of rushing in needlessly. It also showed that Mina was indeed a trained fighter, though hearing her start her training since she was three did seem odd to Dulga. Dulga didn't start handling guns until she was ten years old, and that was only because Dulga was interested in her mother's guns. She couldn't imagine that Mina chose to start practicing martial arts at such a young age. And lastly, the way Mina spoke about it made Dulga wonder if Mina is trying to prove something. She couldn't put her finger on it, but Dulga had a feeling that Mina wanted to be stronger than someone.

"A little." Dulga shifted her cloak off her back to reveal her extra arms. Unlike her normal two arms, these arms were not covered by sleeves and had exposed muscles. They were red and veiny as if their skin had simply been burned off. Even Dulga's hands looked damaged, with the webbing between her fingers going up to her first knuckles on some fingers or looking ragged, as well as completely lacking finger nails on all four of her extra hands. "These arm grant me great strength. I've learned how to use them in my daily life. I've also been trained as a hunter. I can pull apart deers, boars, and sometimes bears with just my hands. But I've never been trained in martial arts. I know how to throw and take a punch, and that's about it. I'm much better at guns." Dulga was secretly happy that she was having a "Conversation" with Mina. It felt so easy.

"I'd like to fight you Kasuke-san."

Jett Haven

Jett sadly didn't have any time to hear what Toni would have said. As L Guardian, Gravity Yarl?! and his Grandfather walked into the room. He quickly had made his way back to his seat. While Yoshida sensei told them they were about to go over the exercise. He honestly didn't know who won yet still. Even his Grandfather didn't tell him. Soon they were seated and the projector fired up.

Once he saw the map he shook his head. Huh? A tie? After all that?! Sonofabitch. Sighing, it was better than a loss though. As yoshida Sensei explained that the battles were recorded, he got excited. He would get to see everyones fights after all! He glanced around the room to his other teammates. His eyes stopping on Fumika when the teacher said they would start with her fight. Oh god... please don't say they filmed it...wait...if they filmed it...why the hell would they show it in class. As soon as Yoshida started to explain what Kenechi did wrong he had let out a loud sigh of relief that gained a glare from his grandfather. Quickly straightening up He was glad he had misunderstood her and felt a red shade of embarrassment for even thinking that was what happened. He then continued to listen.

He took note that Kenichi did not use his brain during the fight, and he goes all out taking big risks. Good to know for when he fights him. As for Fumika, he knew already she was a thinker. But didn't know how well she fought. As he watched the fight, he couldn't help but smile like a little kid as he watched her confuse the crap out of Kenichi, one after another, even landing a few blows! but wait.... Holy shit she was in the box?? her copy did that? The fact she managed to do this and suddenly was able to put some pressure on him so he couldn't use his quirk. She had some skills, but he did note that her forms were a bit off. Not that it mattered, they were still learning here.

He was slowly moving to the edge of his seat as she took hits from Kenichi, his face wincing with sympathetic pain at some of the blows. Even the face shot where she lost her glasses. But the fact she jumped back onto her feet quickly was impressive. She looked like a delicate girl...but He looked like he was hitting hard... She was definitely one tuff cook.... Oh HELL that's what she meant! He chuckled to himself.

He did notice that Kenichi handed her glasses. Props to him.

But that's when the fight got even better. Suddenly Kenichi had a frikken container dropped on him. Jett let out a silent "OHHH" as he pulled back. THAT WAS AWESOME! She fricking dropped a container on the guy that materialized over him! Shit! She even walked into it!

The rest of the fight escalated, Jett could be seen covering his mouth at certain points or wincing in pain. To him, This was straight from a damn movie! the dramatic fall, the triumphant rise. All that was missing was some damn popcorn. He froze though...quite suddenly. There was another figure there, that he realized was Fumika's doing... Her moves... her style... It seemed... familiar, he couldn't get a good look at that face though. But before he could figure it out Yoshida moved onto the next fight, well.. just really instant ko.

Reminding him of how he could have done things differently, if only he warped Sen out of that damn truck before mamoru hit it. He was glad Mamoru was told her actions were incredibly dangerous and stupid. Though despite what they said she even tried to still defend her actions saying he was driving Dangerously...well he was to a point. But still, she was the one who sent bloody heavy equipment rolling towards them.

When he saw what happened to B he instantly looked at Mina, wondering how she got out, He didn't ask, as she was alive of course. But he did notice Ezra knocking Lysander out with a sucker punch. His hands balled into fists, He did take an opportunity that presented towards him, but come on that and the flying kick to him at C. He had to challenge that punk again.

When it was them on the chopping block, he folded his arms. Obviously the teacher didn't understand, yes it was for entertainment...a little. But he was doing all he could to continue to fight. He couldn't teleport anymore because he wasted it. So he managed to convince Ezra to hold out and just fight him on somewhat even grounds. Sure Andre the giant was way stronger than him physically. But that wasn't what the fight was about really. He was trying to keep hold of C, any means necessary. He would have done the same thing against Acion, or anyone else. It didn't matter how strong they were. He would always rise to the challenge. Besides...putting down the biggest kid...well now second biggest kid, even if getting knocked out himself. It showed that size and strength wasn't the all of fighting.

The principal started talking again, complementing his use of a vehicle, but brought up hotwiring the car. "Shit..." he whispered to himself, as he slowly slid more into his chair, as if doing so would hide him from his grandfather's all seeing quirk. He did mention his past rebellious stage, but it was more like crushes...instead of crush. But thankfully the principal moved on. At least calling the fight interesting, but still said it was reckless. Yet his grandfather said something that interested him. He made it sound like he and the gravity Yarl had a similar experience, the way he looked at him. Did they fight each other like he and Ezra?

He did smile a little that his grandfather did somewhat praise their grit, and said what he was thinking earlier about not giving up. But he did have a point... they may have taken it too far...as much as his headache was telling him. Heat of the moment he guessed.

Next was Acion and Reina, watching their fight was just as amazing, if not more than Fumika's. The things Reina managed to do to get up to Acion...was ingenious, incredibly risky and badass to boot. Jett found himself on the edge of the seat again wishing for some popcorn. That girl, was insane! Jett had honestly thought he was the only one who could take Acion because of his teleportation, but the fact her quirk was able to bring him down to her level. Or even bring her up to his. It was fricking awesome. The shy girl he met before was NOT in this video. Pure determination, willpower and raw epicness. Her fight was waaaaaay more entertaining than his own two fights he thought. When his grandfather mentioned her saving them he had looked directly to her and nodded his head in approval. He was right a hundred percent.

His grandfather gave him somewhat praise, but then flat out called him out, in much kinder words than before after the nurse's office.
Yeah, he already knew he made that mistake in his fight with Ezra, and thinking about it he was right. he could have died. He will never make that mistake again.

With Kasuke's fight with roy, he didn't agree with Yoshida about the statement. Of course he didn't hear anything she said during that battle. But It was a trial and error. She didn't know what that kid Roy was capable of. Which was pretty sweet though he had to admit. Making shields and blasting energy. The fight was impressive, who knew the girl knew how to fight like that? She did mention before the training that she agreed with him in training herself to not rely on her quirk so much. It's funny he was trained that way as well by his grandfather. He did laugh when she kicked Roy in the head, dropping him like a rock after she blinded him. It was then he noticed...why were her gym clothes so big????? Glancing at her again and down at her bag where he had saw those same pair of gym clothes...

With the next explanation aimed at donny...He was at B as well... and he was the only student who seemed to fit them. That was when Jett sat up in his seat. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED AT B?!?! His eyes looked back to Kasuke, but he didn't say anything...he didn't want to jump to any conclusions but the fact....all he knew was somehow....she was naked or semi naked on the battlefield at some point. His head turned bright red at the thought. thankfully the lights were dark at the moment.

After the books were passed out and Yoshida left the room, he was still trying to figure out how she could have managed that...He did notice the amazon girl walk up and start speaking to Kasuke, But he also saw three people making their way to Reina complementing her. He was going to do that...but he figured it might be too much for her at the moment. He did notice Fumika giving her a big hug. That was the most emotion he saw out of her since she yelled 'Let's Pass!' before the training.

He turned back around to see the amazon girl walking away, and mina following her. Damnit... he wanted to tell her how he didn't agree with Yoshida...that the only he was able to criticise her was looking down on her opponent, He was just pulling it out of his ass...to be an ass. Oh well.

He did look at Roy though as he stood up. He then said, maybe a little too loudly. "Dude... You got WRECKED by Kasuke!" probably loud enough to hear it in the halls. To those that would look at him, He got a 'whoops' look on his face and pointed at himself. "My bad." he would mouth inaudibly "But seriously, I love your quirk man, it's pretty sweet!"

He did then decided to at least give a word to Reina. Walking over just when, Fumika had let the poor girl go from her grasp. "Awesome fight Riena, it was even more fun to watch than me piledriving Andre the giant over there, which was really satisfying... so that says alot!" He flashed her a genuine smile before looking at Ezra. "Yo Andre!"

He moved to Ezra who was still sitting for a moment and stood defiantly...even though they were eye level still. "You..," Pointing at him. Then jerking his thumb at himself. "Me. Round two, lets go!" On the balls of his feet now, quickly moving his feet back and forth a couple times in a exaggerated /comical attempt to show his speed, while throwing a few fake punches. All the while, a massive grin on his face.

Ezra

Ezra had sat down with Fumika, and to be honest, was not looking forward to his analysis. He was stupid that fight. He didn't treat the enemy with enough respect, he didn't use his quirk even though the enemy was likely exhausted and unable to use theirs, and most importantly, he didn't flat outright win. He was still conscious at the end of the fight sure, so he guessed it counted as a victory, but they both had to go the nurses office in critical condition, so he couldn't consider that a true win.

It was at this point the kid from before came over, and he knew he was trying to start shit. The banter was quite weak compared to back home, but he complimented him for it in his mind. He felt a touch on his arm as he called it a good fight. That was something that he agreed with. What he didn't agree with was that the fight would have ended differently if he didn't have shrap metal in his body. He did like the boys confidence, but he knew that if he had a full stomach, and they had a quirk fight instead of a quirkless one, Ezra would have beat the living shit out of the kid. At least, that's what he thought.

"We'll see when we have a rematch." Ezra spoke with a happy tone. He was glad that he had already established a rivalry of sorts, with somebody who was strong enough to at least push him to using his ability.

The analysis began with being told it was a tie. This was something he was already aware of at this point. Kenichi hadn't been able to win vs the ditsy girl, and Roy had failed him. And at that point, he was told they had cameras on site. He figured it as a given, but if they were going to replay the footage, then the moment with Lysander would come up. He wasn't particularly looking forward to seeing his classes reactions to it. It might destroy his reputation, but he figured he wouldn't care regardless, because it was one action that he figured was a right decision when he was participating in the exercise.

The footage between Kenichi and Fumika came on. He was surprised it wasn't a 2v1, until he figured that 'Haruka' might have been her quirk. He really should have kept note of student names, since it carried on leading him to wrong assumptions. He knew information was more valuable than gold, but he still kept on stunting it in the name of his own arrogance, and that was a quirk of his that annoyed him. He noted that the staffs advice was prudent and useful, even if particularly harsh, but he couldn't fault them. The best way to learn was to humiliate you to the point where you'd never wish to make the same mistake again.

He did however find himself enthralled by the fight. It was extremely action packed, even if lacking skill. Neither of them had seen much fighting in their lives, as far as he could tell. Their stances were terrible and their attacks were choreographed and predictable, but the uses of the quirks were extremely potent. He sighed at Kenichi's performance though. It was, in essence, what he had did. Deliberately handicapped himself to fight a weaker opponent and paying the price for it.

It was after, that he had saw Mamoru crash into the windshield. It was at this stage that he began pissing himself laughing as the footage came on, trying to stop it and cover his mouth but he couldn't. He couldn't comprehend why the fuck she'd jump headfirst into a car, even if the little quirk of hers prevented force. It was simply too funny for him, as he continued to laugh for another 3 minutes, trying to cover his face and mouth to suppress the noise as the presentation went on. He then saw that she tried to crash a fucking crane and truck into their little car during the exercise. This girl was fucking crazy but it made him continue to laugh well into the later parts of the presentation.

His laughter stopped almost immediately where they showed Lysander bailing them out of the crumbling building. He waited in anticipation as he expected to see the clip of him punching him in the back of the head, and seemingly showed no reaction to it. The inner brain of Ezra was screaming Shit, shit, shit! Why the fuck would you show that clip!? whilst the exterior continued to stare at the screen nonchalantly. He didn't want people to know that he was bothered by their impressions of him or his actions, and the best way to do that was to not show remorse at them, despite what other students looks showed.

The criticism of him was next, and although he appreciated improving himself, being told that you were shit was never a fun time for anybody. Their comparison to Kenichi made perfect sense to him, especially considering what he had done. A battle for plain entertainment. He shouldn't have used that chance, and should have thought better. Using his quirk, he could have had another good fight. Being called valuable to the team made him a bit happy though. As far as he knew, nobody on the team could win vs him in a fight if he were to go all out, so at least that was recognised. He then found out that Jett had hot-wired the fucking car they were using, which surprised him. How many fuckin' abilities does this rich brat have?! I saw people do it but, is this kid secretly a fuckin' drug dealer or somethin'

The headmaster was less harsh upon his delivery than L Guardian, and that showed through his analysis. He called the fight entertaining yet fruitless, which is exactly what it was. He'd love to do it again, but he'd like to fight when they both are at full power. He held a certain respect for the kid, even if he was fuckin' annoying. It showed the clip of his headbutt, and he couldn't help but smile. That fucked the poor kid up, he could tell. He'd done that quite a few times, and he knew how much damage that did, but that shit must have mashed his head up as far as he could tell.

The other guy, who had carried them in, addressed them in a foreign-esque way. He could tell that he wasn't native to Japan despite how well he spoke the language, and noted that he had complimented them both, almost trying to redeem our actions however stupid they were. He did feel he went a bit overboard though, he probably would have killed Jett had he given him another headbutt or something or other, or if he hadn't been slammed at that very moment. He had to try that move out sometime.

He noted the fight between Reina and Acion. He'd already saw it in person, but re watching it from a different perspective showed that it was still fucking cool, regardless of how it was looked at. She was pretty creative with her quirk for the most part, and she had definitely overcome an obstacle that was quite difficult. He personally would have used her quirk and drew him in to close quarters. since with 6 wings, he can't exactly thrive on a fist fighting end. Knock him off balance and he's done.

He saw Toni, who got some criticism and he didn't really take note of it. She was on her team, and he didn't really know what she did, given as she was irrelevant when he got there, proved to him that she wasn't noteworthy. He noted that Jett had used all his energy fighting her and getting away, which changed his mind immediately. Maybe she was stronger than she looked. She didn't exactly seem weak if she could have went toe to toe with him to the point where he'd run. Maybe it was a bad matchup, but he found himself with an newfound respect for the loudmouth. He noted that Jett would have died without the Nurse. He knew it was right. The injuries on either ends were extremely disproportionate. Ezra had gotten scraped up, but he was fairly certain he had shattered the kids skull, which was pretty insane.

He then saw Mina defeating Roy and wanted to laugh but couldn't. He'd already lectured the kid, but pushing it even further might provoke him. And even though he knew he could pummel him, he didn't want to. The kid had just made a stupid decision, and paid the price for it by getting knocked out and losing the match. His reprimanding was not going to make him not make those mistakes again, he'd already suffered enough in Ezra's eyes.

He noted Mina wasn't exactly a weak fighter though. She had good martial arts prowess, though it was mostly posh, uppity shit that he didn't think highly of. Kids who fought like that got beaten up because of stupid codes and honour and other stupid things. He also saw that Donny had collapsed the building, and it wasn't just him. Was this kid a psychopath? Did he not realise that they would have died? I mean, the idea was cool and all but this weren't a movie. He had to do some desperate things to survive in that scenario, and he was glad that Lysander was still with him to save them. Ezra felt he should apologise tomorrow, he made a mental note of it.

The staff had given them a handbook and explained that the bell was going to ring in 15 minutes. He had forcefully made himself to remember to read that book, regardless of whether he didn't want to. He could at least see what he could and could not do, and avoid mistakes in the future like he had at his old school. He heard about hero constumes, and remembered that he didn't exactly book one, so he'd likely be fighting in his own clothes or school uniform, either which he didn't have a problem with, though his air-max had kinda got scuffed from kicking the stone tablet.

He noted that once the presentation was off, everyone began talking. He was still in his seat at this point, and didn't care to move. He kinda wanted to go eat back in his dorm room, but at the same time, he didn't want to find out who they had assigned him to room with, so he figured that staying to the bell was the best decision, so he could at least mentally prepare him for whoever they gave him. He hadn't lived with someone before other than his family, so he felt pretty nervous and paranoid about it.

It was at this stage, when he was deep in thought that he had been provoked by the short boy he fought before. He was kinda annoyed and amused at the same time, neither one overruling the other to the point where he could just laugh or be angry about it. Was he trying to be annoying? Because it wasn't particularly working. He wanted to fight right now? He couldn't help but laugh at the thought, and he figured he'd get him back from the trash talk earlier. Putting both of his hands on his sides, Ezra picked him up with ease.

"I'm not Andre, ya know ma name. Fight me tomorrow, when ya head's better from that crackin' I gave it. I don't wanna fight somebody who looks like they got a week long hangover and the flu." he spoke, returning the smile. It was a small taste of home, though that wasn't particularly a place he wanted to remember. Still, he was enjoying himself.

Roy Kusayanagi

Roy turned his head forward once L guardian, the principal, and Jais entered. He was surprised the principal was here as.

Hmm

They began reviewing the exercise and how everyone did, and by the looks of it everyone did something amazing.

Except him.

Fumika and Kenichi had an amazing fight at point A and it explained a lot why the terrain was all damaged, both of them were powerful and the intensity they fought with could be seen on the screen. Sen and Mamoru had took each other out, Jett provided his team with a large assist as well as Ezra by obtaining point B. Reina looked badass, Acion put his mobility and long ranged attacks on display. Toni seemed to be able to cheer everyone up and display her quirk control. Donny was the only other person who seemed to have done just as bad as Roy, maybe worst with toppling a whole building. Last but not least the girl he lost to, Mina Kasuke. Seeing her use that blinding quirk on video reminded him of how annoying it was to go up against, even though the way she fought him was brilliant and it sealed her victory.

Once the review was done Roy slumped back in his seat, though nobody did perfect Roy felt as if his mistakes were magnified. Yoshida explained that everyone were a far away from becoming pros which was true, before leaving he assigned homework to the students.

Once the komei staff left,Reina seemed to have attracted multiple fans, he got up with a small smile and went to go retrieve his cloak right before Jett came, putting salt on his wounds.

He gave the boy an annoyed "Thanks, you too", what could he do again? Was it teleporting or something?

Thinking to himself as he walked over to the window Hero course ain't easy, he knew he was far behind in terms of his control over his quirk but as he watched the videos his inexperience was exposed. Everyone showed how they could think outside the box and even work it into their basic skills, while Roy was more along the lines of someone who was wielding a gun for the first time ever. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, once he arrived at the initial desk he was vexed. Roy swiped his cloak aggressively of the desk and slung it over his shoulder before exiting the classroom.

Once he was out he looked left and saw Mina talking to another student, a extremely tall one at that fact who was also wearing a cloak. He glanced temporarily he held his left hand out, ""Lack of thinking outside the box?" What the hell was he supposed to make in that situation, he was about to hit the wall but as he shifted his body to punch his feet flew off the ground. He began spinning in the air uncontrollably as the effects of Zero gravity took over that space. Roy could hear steps from down the hall.

"I hope you weren't planning on damaging school property were you? A familiar voice said, it was Mr.Hisakawa, "I would want to have to expel you on the first day now" He said as a purple orb floated around him, it was the Gravity Yarl. Roy eyes widened as he began recalling stories of the man, he who could bend gravity too his will. A black orb floated next to the purple one, it began pulling Roy in with its attraction. "And yes lack of thinking outside the box, I could tell that must have been your first fight using your quirk and you looked extremely awkward, thinking outside the box is something heroes do on the daily. A Riot shield was the best thing you could think of, and you couldn't even hold it for too long." The man said as he fixed Roy's posture before releasing the gravity before giving a small chuckle.

"I was gonna return back to the class to look for you but it seems like I was spared the effort." Roy looked up at the man, before responding.

"Why me?" He said confused with a facial expression saying 'are you serious?'

"Yes, though your results leave more to be desired. I've came to strike a deal which is totally up to you to take or leave."

Roy was confused at this point, what kind of deal was the man talking about. Why the hell would the principal at a top academy would even want to strike a deal with the boy was beyond his thinking. "I'm listening"

"Now you can either walk back towards your general studies classroom and continue the rest of the year at Komei or. I can let you do this first half of the year in the hero course but there is a catch.

Of course there was a catch to go with this, "What's the catch?" He said his face straight. Hopefully it wasn't anything to crazy, like paying a extreme amount of money or something.

"You receive a failing grade on your midterm exam or the term as a whole, you will be immediately Expelled from Komei Academy." He said with a smile, Roy kept his face stern. He could pursue his dreams but any major slip up and he is out, he applied at multiple top hero schools for both the hero course but with his history of heat related illnesses none of them but Komei wanted to take a chance and even then they offered him a support course role with possibility of transfer.

"I want to prove that I can be a hero" He said looking the man in the eyes, Mr.Hisakawa smiled.

"Arrangements will be made then, as for you. You have to work twice as hard as your classmates to catch up to them, your lagging behind but im sure you can make it up." He said before turning around and walking off to his office.

It was true, he was behind vastly having barely any battle experience. Using his quirk was a problem early on so it was advised that he kept his energy low to prevent from hitting a critical zone, having to take therapy just to be able to live a normal life.

One far from heroing. Thinking outside of the box was something that was frowned upon as something that would put his life in danager, "Outside the box?" He walked over to a nearby vending machine purchasing a cherry cola, drinking it as he walked back the way he came.

Kasuke Mina

Mina listened to Dulga explain her quirk. She assumed it was the six arms, but wouldn't have guessed they had super strength, or that Dulga wasn't exactly untrained. Mina herself did not know how to use a gun, or how to hunt. Not even fox-hunting on horseback, which was a practice that she violently opposed despite her bourgeoisie upbringing.

Bit what did get Mina's attention was Dulga's offer to fight. Straight and to the point, and Mina knew that there was no ill will in that request. In fact, Mina shared the sentiment. Now she knew what Dulga's quirk was, she didn't need to hold herself back, and because it was just friendly sparring instead of a battle to win, she didn't even need to use her quirk.

"I would too," she responded. "Want to head to the training room now, later tonight, or do it tomorrow?"

The support student, who she now knew as Roy passed them, and held out his hand, which Mina shook. He spoke a rhetorical question; ""Lack of thinking outside the box?" Which Mina responded with "Overconfident?" in the same manner, a small grin appearing on her face as she did so, and watched him pass.

Dulga Tarata

"Tomorrow. The bell is going to ring soon and I have some homework to do tonight." Dulga took out the thick student handbook and waved it around. She probably wasn't going to read all of it, just skim the important rules such as quirk usage and emergency information. Though she supposed she also ought to look up anything about fighting among students. Dulga was pretty sure with all these teenagers with attitudes and super powers, they're bound to have some rules and regulations about how to deal with it. And while the fight between Dulga and Mina wasn't hostile in the slightest, Dulga didn't want to get into trouble just because neither of them told a teacher they'd be sparring.

When Dulga noticed another student approaching she hid her arms back underneath her cloak, holding it firmly. While it was hard to hide Dulga's quirk, she just felt more comfortable covering up rather than showing her arms off. It didn't help that her uniform was also designed to be backless and gave her a bit of a breeze. She guessed that customizing the shirts with extra sleeves on her back would've been too much work. Her father could easily do it in minutes with some fabric and a needle. When the boy got closer Dulga recognized him as the one who fought Mina at Point A, Roy. He had some sort of light-based ability that allowed him to create objects out of light. Dulga didn't really remember what was said about him as she had focused more on Mina, but from the words they exchanged they both thought the criticism aimed at them was questionable. Dulga didn't say anything about it and just nodded her head in recognition towards Roy.

"So... I know what the teachers showed me. But I want to know what you did and what you were thinking. Please tell me everything you did at that battle, from start to finish." Dulga motioned Mina towards a ledge by a window for them to sit at. No sense in standing around and talking. Dulga would be listening to Mina as she walked towards the window.

Jett Haven

Jett had glance to the right, just before Ezra stood up and suddenly grabbed him on his sides "wwwwwhao...Hey!" was all he could let out, his feet kicking trying to reach the ground while his hands grabbed ezra's forearms and tried to pry them free. He stopped very suddenly as Ezra's face came into view. Glancing down at the ground, he suddenly very much felt like a kid... His grandfather used to pick him up this way.

Looking back at Ezra as he started to say 'that's not my name' and 'i'll fight you later, my head hurts.' Was basically the gist of what he heard. "Thanks for picking me up. It strains my neck having to constantly look up at you while you talk." He said with a smug smile, folding his arms, Jett got a thoughtful look on his face. "Hmmm... Nope Ezra Jasekade doesn't fit. I mean, look at you. " He used both of his hands to point at, moving up and down. "You definitely have to go with. Kronk...Anatoly...Goliath. Fits you much better." He chuckled and quite suddenly jabbed with his palms, crossing his own body to gain more momentum and hit Ezra's wrists Hard enough for them to get pushed away enough that his grip weakened to the point where he dropped to the ground and he hopped back. "Also, If you decide to go with smalls, then they expect ya know, someone like me to walk in. But they then see you. Game over!"

With a big Smile he then said, "Well if you don't like them soo much I might just have to go with Ezra for the time being...well work on it." He thought about how his head felt, and while he was not really meaning to fight again today, He was glad he didn't take it that way. "Thank you for your concern Ivan... I mean Ezra. Damn I hate when I do that. But I Look forward to our fight."

Reina Mori

Reina glanced up, seeing Roy sitting at the desk in front of her, apparently concerned for her. That wasn’t right. She was keeping to herself to not bother anyone, but she was so mopey that even that failed.

Forcing a smile, she answered him while looking away. ”Yeah... I’m fine. Just anxious about the review.” As she was finishing her sentence, she looked to the door to see Yoshida-sensei, her uncle, and the man who had picked her up from C enter the room. She nodded towards them for Roy’s benefit. ”Speaking of...”

The class fell silent as Yoshida began to speak, the projected image showing that Alpha and Delta had tied, with one point controlled each. So... at least her failure hadn’t lost the exercise for her team, but... if she had just done better, the efforts of her teammates would have resulted in a win.

The girl watched all the battles in quiet amazement, learning the names of her classmates as each was addressed about their performance. Mamoru and Ezra—the tall boy—had made some questionable decisions, and were reprimanded by Yoshida. While she personally disagreed with their actions, she couldn’t help but feel some envy at their willingness to do what it took to win. She herself was far too self-conscious and worried what others would think of her.

The fight between Kenichi and Fumika was something to watch, both proving their hero aptitude clearly. Kenichi’s one Kamen Rider-esque kick held her thoughts for a moment. Had it been coincidence, or had he actually taken inspiration from the show? She almost wanted to ask him, but of course very quickly decided she wouldn’t. Anyways, the two demonstrated far greater control of their quirks than she could ever hope to have. She felt glad for them, though her feeling of inadequacy grew a bit as well.

She shrank in her seat when it was her turn to receive feedback, anxiety beginning to grip her as her actions were on screen for everyone to see. Returning her uncle’s smile with a faint, forced one of her own, she nodded lightly a few times as he spoke. She glanced to the teacher who had taken her from point, and felt her cheeks lightly redden at the compliment as she looked down to her desk. His words made her... feel happy. But she disliked that as much as she liked it. Somehow. She was stupid. Of course she had gone to try and stop the crane. Her quirk was capable of the feat. She wasn’t a ‘hero in the making’ for simply doing what her quirk allowed her to do. That much was expected of anyone. Danger to herself or not mattered little—whatever consequences she herself might’ve suffered, they would be worth in exchange for keeping others safe. There was no reason to worry for her, on anyone’s account. The danger meant nothing in regards to herself.

The class moved on, thankfully, without her saying anything in response. It wasn’t like she’d ever be able to bring herself to refute what a teacher said, anyways. The blonde girl that Jett had fought, Toni, was also shown to have a strong handle over her own quirk. As was Mina—she had beaten Roy with a quirk that had helped her very little in the encounter. Reina frowned, feeling some shame at that replay. If someone like Mina had her gravitational quirk, they’d be well on their way to being a pro hero, if not one already.

Eventually, class was called and the class began to shuffle with the sounds of student’s packing up. Strangely like any other school, despite what their first lesson had been. Reina packed slowly, not particularly in any rush, so Acion came to her desk before she had even left her seat. His words took her by complete surprise, not least because of the strange way he worded it. She wasn’t one to have ever had many friends, mind, but she had enough common sense that friendships weren’t usually begun when one person asked another to ‘establish’ it with them.

The girl blinked, unsure how to respond. You don’t want to be my friend. That was a little too blunt and dismissive. Acion seemed very nice, though that was part of the reason she felt that she would not be the kind of person he’d have fun being around. Well, not that anyone would, but him more than most. She opened her mouth, looking for words. “I... um, you’d probably find better friends in others...” she finally said quietly, looking away.

Before she could dwell much on her worry that she sounded rude, both Mamoru and Fumika came up to her nearly at the same time. While Fumika simply stood quietly by the desk, Mamoru went off, as excitable and outgoing as anyone Reina had ever met. The dark-haired girl felt that forced, sad smile on her lips again as she looked to Mamoru with a soft expression that hid away something even weaker. ”It really... really wasn’t anything... at all. Like the principle said, I just have a lucky quirk—”

The girl stopped completely, tensing further as she felt someone grab her, switching her quirk instinctively to push—but she managed to hold it back as she realized that she was... being hugged.
”M-Motome...-san?...” she said quietly, taken by complete surprise.

"Good fight, Reina. You were cool."

The dark-haired girl stopped, finally relaxing a bit as she felt a lump form in her throat. She had made Fumika worry for her as well. Without realizing, her quirk stopped pushing lightly and instead pulled just as subtly, almost as though she was returning the hug, though her hands stayed clasped together tightly in her lap.

No. She wouldn’t cry again. Not in front of anyone. All of the attention... all of the compliments of her peers. As much as it made her uncomfortable—she should be the one praising them—it felt... nice. It made her happy. But like before, after the praise from her teacher, that happiness triggered more than its equivalent in negative emotions. She didn’t deserve the happiness at all. She couldn’t control her quirk. Its strength completely carried her. And she had still lost, in the end. She hadn’t actually accomplished anything outside of allowing her teammates to not worry about the falling crane and the avalanche of rubble it had triggered—she knew if she wasn’t there, they would have figured out a way to not get caught in it anyways.

The was no way she could escape this situation gracefully, though she’d try. She felt her face burning with a betraying blush. A hand moved up slowly to touch Fumika’s forearm that wrapped around her. Jett, giving her more praise as he passed by, was the small bit that finally pushed her to act.

”P-Please stop,” she started meekly to the three surrounding her, the fact that she was fighting back tears clear in her voice if her eyes weren’t enough evidence. ”Thank you... but I didn’t do anything impressive at all. Anyone with my quirk could have done better... I only did what it allows someone like me to do...” The girl felt her heart sink as she spoke, certain she was killing any chance of actually becoming friends with any of the three—despite telling herself that that was the best for them. Being all quiet as she was was bad enough, but being this openly depressing and self-defeating was social suicide. She knew that. It had happened before. No one wanted to be around someone like that. For the best.

Despite her weak protests, her quirk maintained its tiny pull, and her fingers had gently begun to hold Fumika’s sleeve. Why? Normally, she’d be out the door by now. Instead she was clinging. Why? Why was she so gross? What was she expecting? Why was she expecting anything at all?

Takes talent to be this pathetic.
