Kana sat through the blonde's speech completely still, watching her skill with her daggers with a bored look.
Until she pulled out a gigantic sword she named 'Jormungandr'.
Kana barely restrained her laugh, eventually bursting into flat out laughter as the girl finished explaining. Falling onto her side and slapping the floor, the girl laughed until she couldn't breathe.
"I-I'm dying! I'm seriously dying! You named your weapons after the children of Loki?! What- I don't- You're the best, ugh, you're the greatest!" The girl eventually stopped her giggling fit, sitting up and wiping her eyes with a short giggle.
"Oh man, it's just, like, you're gonna take on Jormungandr with Jormungandr? That's brilliant. I love it. Please do. Don't lose that sword like ever, ughhh, that's just.. It's brilliant."
Wiping her eyes again with her forearm, the girl grinned. "I don't carry around weapons with me personally, but shouldn't you be a bit more relaxed in your home? Surely it's not gonna be attacked or anything. I mean, it's got a bunch of crazy religious zealots in it and a bunch of people with super crazy powers to boot."
Leaning back with a huge smile on her face, she popped another piece of beef jerky into her mouth and waved her hand dismissvely.
"I mean, I have two weapons I really love, but they're not here. Leviathan and Orochi. I like snakes, always have. Still I won't be hunting down the things I've named my weapons after. You're adorable and I love you."
Tossing yet another piece of beef jerky into her mouth, Kana looked over to the man who'd just sat down. He'd made his entrance while she'd been in the middle of a laughing fit, so she hadn't been able to get a good look at him.
"Well hello there, edgelord. Did you sleep well in your coffin last night or do you just listen to metal instead of getting shut eye?" She motioned with her hand again.
"Sorry, sorry, I don't mean to be mean. I just have zero concept of social norms and am probably a lunatic but I promise we'll be good friends."

As the next person- a girl- entered the room, Kana's face lit up. "Muffins! You've got muffins?! Muffins, yeah, whoo!" She was visibly ecstatic at the mention of muffins, and gave Jeddah a wide, beaming smile.

Outside the mansion stood a girl with crimson hair and scarlet eyes that glinted in the sun. Sighing to herself, she began to move. The outright massive weapon that sat on her shoulder would've sent anyone else sprawling, a massive hunk of metal roughly fashioned into a large cleaver- one side clean-cut and the over serrated. Amity Veil was smart enough to get a metal pauldron that was thick enough for her to lean the thing of instead of having to drag it everywhere.
She'd been up all night, training her ass off with the thing, so it wasn't much of a surprise that she looked like total trash. She felt even worse than she looked, and she currently wished she was dead.

Grumbling to herself as she moved through the grounds, she was all too aware of the stares of practically everyone she moved past. For one, her entire sword was cracked, rusted and bloodstained. Secondly, she looked horrible.
Lastly, it wasn't every day people say someone walking around the a piece of murder metal twice the size of the wielder. Amity decided that being late was fine, haphazardly tossing her weapon to the ground just outside the mansion itself. It wasn't like anyone could steal it, or would. It wasn't a secret who the thing belonged to.
Half an hour later, Amity Veil was showered and still feeling like trash. Pulling on some more formal clothes- a nice suit to be precise- she looked at herself in the mirror.
"Still not as pretty as that day, sadly."
Her eyes flattening for a moment, Amity cast a glance down at her left hand where a ring should've been. Of course, she had the ring, but she didn't feel comfortable wearing it just yet. Not until she'd killed every single Jotun on the planet and more.
Taking a deep, deep breath, Amity quickly left the room. The necklace around her neck was enough for now.

It didn't take her too long to reach the room, albeit quite a bit late. Mentally preparing herself before entering, Amity pushed the doors open.
And they flew out of their frames, flying across the room and thankfully not hitting anybody inside.
Amity swallowed, shock written all over her face as she reached up and facepalmed.
"I.. need to be more careful.."
Coughing awkwardly and raising a hand in greeting, Amity's cheeks were more than a bit red as she introduced herself.
"Yo, Amity Veil. My rune's Uruz. Don't make me shake your hand or I might break it by accident."

Oren took a place near the side of the door, arms folded, making note of everyone that ventured inside and comparing it to her mental notes. She eyed the room. The place was filling up.

"Tiwaz. Berkano..."

Just then the door was thrown clear off its hinges, narrowly missing her in its journey.

"...Uruz."

TO most people it would probably be the person tearing the doors off who was the subject of scrutiny, but Oren's attention was elsewhere.

There was someone in this room who was not on her list.

The Isa room swept over to Kana with a few quick, decisive steps, and withdrew a notebook and pen from the pocket of her coat.
"If you're not willing to reveal your rune, you won't mind drawing it to check it off on the record, will you?"

There was something rather avian about Oren's gaze. She always had a look about her a little reminiscent of a hunting owl, no moreso than when she was pretty certain she had caught someone in a lie.

And she was pretty certain.
Because the alternative was that she had managed to forget one of the runes.
And she never forgot anything.

More people flooded in, and Maeve remembered why she so hated being early. She was where she was, and there was no way to disentangle herself from the now considerable crowd without seeming rude.

She raised an eyebrow at Makorai, and then quirked a crooked grin in his direction. She could smell the booze on him, and was moderately proud. A hometown hero.

Isa didn't seem so bad- a bit cold. Heh. But not so bad.

Someone tell through a window and didn't identify herself. Vaguely concerning, but if something in the mansion was planning on killing them all, she figured it would have no problem managing. Lock down the Windows and doors and gas then and then hunt them down one at a time to cut them up like it was-

Maeve blinked. She had missed a good bit of the conversation. A few introductions. No matter- someone would say their names later.

And someone had ripped the door off of its hinges. Maeve gave a low whistle, and nodded in Amity's direction. "I'm sure you could learn to channel that," she started, but her attention was pulled as Isa continued her questioning of the unidentified. Maeve's attention sharpened toward the exchange, but her body did not tense. Nothing coiled to spring. Just watching.

Jeddah was barely in the room and something had already gone flying across the room. How glorious. She did, however, maintain her composure despite wanting to instinctively fall forwards in an attempt to be closer to the ground. Nothing bad every happened when anyone was on the ground, right? She had laughed off her nervousness and reassessed the situation at hand. She had bought two dozen muffins. There were nine at least eight other people in the room. Unfortunately for her, she did not know proper math. So instead, she placed her confidence in herself and spoke to everyone again.

"Yeah! If you want you can have some. Got them for you guys of course. I'll just set them somewhere and you guys can help yourselves." She had said, walking over to a nearby table. "I got banana nut, poppy seed, blueberry, plain, and something special for those of you with sweet teeth."

Volkir directed his attention to the girl who brought in muffins. He silently rises from his chair and walks across the table to her, crouching, then looking at the muffins. "My these do look great, It's not cake but, these will suffice. You mind?" At this point he heard@VitoftheVoid another lady talking about the revealing of runes. Though his attention did not divert, ho spoke. "Seeing as your asking for runes, you must have a notebook on you, considering you offered for us to sketch it." He then grabs a muffin and bites it. " I'll save you the trouble." He says with his mouth almost full as he reveals the Tiwaz Rune on the back of his neck to Isa.

The rune had probably appeared on his chest way before he had noticed it. Being a dazed child, he only noticed it after finally taking a shower one night. He examined it for a long, long time in the mirror. It was the one thing on him that he actually liked, even though he wondered how it got there. It was two nights before his nineteenth birthday that the Blessed took him away from his mother. They showed up at their apartment after he had finished giving his mother dinner. As he opened the door, there were three standing there. It seemed to him like they were from the government or something. Terrified that they were there to take his mother away, he attacked before they even explained themselves. He didn't win.

He woke up in a bed that wasn't is and in a room he didn't recognize. They had dragged him off somewhere, and he didn't know where. A card with the explanation of what was happening had been left for him. He refused to believe it and refused to leave his room, even though he knew he wasn't a prisoner. Not wanting him to die, meals were given to him. He didn't eat most of them. He was curious about the whole "powers" thing though. Wanting to try it out, he gave himself a cut and then tried to heal it. It worked, to his surprised. He decided from then on that he would use it to heal others, and not himself. Other things he did in his free time included exploring the lavish room they had given him and looking through the things they had left.
It took him a while, but he eventually found that they had left him "male" and "female" clothes. He had fun (for once) trying them on. He did this on his nineteenth birthday, celebrating it by himself.

Morgan stayed there for five weeks before told that he had to go to some meeting the night before it was actually supposed to happen. On that day, he decided to wear whatever. Had to make a good first impression, right? He put together an outfit; a black crop-top with daisies all over it, some ombre bleached shorts, and some black converse.
He knew that he was late, but he didn't care. He was the last one to enter the room, by the looks of it. But there were nine people in the room and only nine runes. What was happening?
Morgan didn't bother to make an introduction, or to even say hello as he entered. He simply walked over to the other empty couch in the room, sitting down. He looked around at the others.
Because he hadn't left his room for a month, he hadn't even seen any of these people. And none of these people had ever seen him. Upon first glance though, it seemed that everyone in the room was older than him. No more than ten years, but not less than two or three.

Oren was midway through her attempts to give Kana the third degree when she realized she was being addressed. And perhaps not in the most constructive way. She gave a sharp sigh and momentarily turned hr avian gaze away from her target.

"Firstly Tiwaz I have no interest in seeing your rune. I know what your rune is. I've already listed it off. Please try to pay attention or this initial meeting is going to take a very long time. Secondly I've already provided the person in question with pen and paper. Thirdly your input is holding me up from dealing with the problem of an unregistered person being present in an extremely important meeting, so without wishing to start things off on the wrong foot I'd appreciate it if you-"

"Oh, hey, is this the right..room? ...what happened to the doors?" Oren glanced round for a moment to see a somewhat familiar face peering around what was left of the door, a young woman with a mop of untidy ginger hair, wearing a far oversized sweater with a triceratops on it, juggling coffee, milk, sugar and a donut box, and looking rather uncertain of her position between everyone apparently already eating muffins, and the fact that the last time she passed the room the meeting was supposed to be happening in, she was pretty certain that it had doors.

"Yes Helena. The meeting is here." Oren muttered wearily, gesturing for the office intern to scramble in with the drinks thing and attempt to navigate to the table across the room with it without bumping into anyone. Mostly because at least half of them looked lowkey terrifying.

Volkir sighs as he grabs another muffin.@Cloudburst "Thank you muffin lady.." He says in a monotone voice, he then walks across the table and back to his chair, where he re-assumes his crouching position. He continues to eat the muffin, but is surprised at this one. He turns his head and looks inside the muffin. "How delightful..." He seemed like he really didn't care at all,in truth he did. "How did you know to bring cake?"

Out of all the things that Dawn could have expected, a woman tumbling in from a third story window certainly wasn’t one of them. Pale hair. Purple eyes. Claiming to be one of the newer runes picked up, although Isa, she noticed, seemed to have no idea who this person was, despite knowing the others gathered. Perhaps it was just a fluke, but Dawn would keep an eye on the woman regardless.

More and more people filed in as time passed. A gloomy looking man calling himself “Volkir”. Jeddah, a young woman about her height bearing a box of muffins. Dawn studied the little lineup silently, in a sort of absent reverie- something that from time to time. She was snapped out of it, however, by the door to the room soaring from its hinges and into the wall opposite. Dawn turned, alarmed, to see a rather embarrassed looking redhead standing in the gap left behind.

Super strength. Alarming, but given the fact that all of them had developed powers almost overnight, it wasn’t surprising in itself once the initial shock were off. Recomposing herself, Dawn glanced once more at the ruined splinters that once made up the door, then back to Amity. “I agree- I’m sure you’ll be able to get it under control with enough practice.” She smiled warmly, then stood, stepping over to where the muffins had been laid out and looking over them idly.

“Thank you, Jeddah. These look delicious.” Dawn plucked one from the box- blueberry- and sank her teeth into it, relishing in the taste. She paused, swallowed, then spoke. “My name is Dawn, by the way. It’s good to meet you.”

Behind her, she could overhear Ira asking the stranger to draw out her rune, and Volkir immediately offering up his own in response. She listened in as she took bite after bite, but before Ira could get any far in her questioning, two more entered to interrupt her. Both were strangers, although one, the girl of the two, seemed to be struggling quite badly with her cargo.

Finishing off the rest of her muffin, Dawn pocketed the wrapper and stepped over to the girl. “Would you like some help with all that?” She asked. Ira seemed to know this girl, Helena, and seeing as she hadn't been referred to a rune, she could assume that the newcomer was the last remaining marked.

Nine runes, two others. One of which still hadn’t been identified.

Even as she spoke to Helena, Dawn made a point to keep the wildcard of a woman in the corner of her eye.

The next arrival breezed into the room wearing a slim fitting Italian suit and a smile like the sun, in that it was bright and that if one looked straight at it for too long, one might get a bit uncomfortable. He carried with him a rather sharp but not unpleasant scent, like he had perhaps just peeled a tangerine, after taking a bath in rubbing alcohol.

"Miss Helena, I suspect that the Uruz rune had something to do with it," said Clifton, deftly relieving her of the topmost precarious object and setting it on the table next to the muffins by way of example (since she looked a bit lost), and so that nobody would have to clean coffee and donuts off the floors. "Don't worry, Miss Amity. Such mishaps are only to be expected at this juncture. A technician will take care of that."

He dusted off his hands to make sure no stray bits of donut powder had found their way onto them. None had. But he dusted just in case.

"Hello, my friends. Good to see you up and about, Mr. Sydnous," he added specifically, feeling a mild sense of obligation to make sure the lad felt welcome...seeing as their other meeting had ended less than cordially. "I hope you're getting settled and aquain--"

He paused abruptly upon spotting the unfamiliar girl.
Clifton's smile remained perfectly cheerful, and to any outside watcher his posture seemed perfectly at ease.

"I don't believe we've met. Care to introduce yourself?"

He took an unthreatening step toward her, one hand in his suitcoat pocket, the other extended for a handshake, ready to learn something about the stranger. One could learn a lot about a person from a handshake. Of course, if Kana took his hand, she'd learn something about Clifton too: He had a perfect handshake. Just the right amount of strength in the clasp to be bracing but not uncomfortable, just the right amount of time held to be personal but not awkwardly intimate, just the right intensity of eye contact to be engaged but not creepy. It was a perfect damn handshake.

...Whatever that said about him.

Clifton's other hand, the hand in the pocket, lay on a concealed pistol.

...Whatever else that said about him.

Silvarae watches the one whom had identified himself as Volkir as he spoke, He had correctly determined that she was on edge and that she had assigned him the highest possible threat level. His tone had done little to alleviate this, however his actions within the same token breath seemed to do more than his words possibly could have. He seemed to her at least to be somewhat airheaded if dead inside, a combination she could not fathom yet there he was switching from a serious topic to the decidedly less deadly desire for cake. The blank transition would once again almost make her smile, ‘that’s twice in one day.’ She thought to herself berating herself mentally, ‘the perfect soldier needs not laugh, smile, or do anything but do as she is told.’ She would recite her fathers words mentally. She had done this thousands of times throughout her life, now it was something she did in response to reactions to anything that was deemed undesirable to her father.

When another woman arrived she seemed the homebody type, arriving with a tray of muffins, ‘Muffins?’ Silvarae thought somewhat confused, where they here to fight someone, or was this a giant waste of her expensive time or was there more going on here. This was almost a nonsensical vibe to all the people gathering in her opinion, the disparity that occurred between the different people that had the runes was at bet laughably pathetic, ‘from a soldier to a common housewife?’ she thought to herself.

When the girl who had floundered through the window began to mock her weapons she would almost unsheathe them this time with the ideal of vengeance however something told her to stay her hand, or more correctly her nature prevented her from doing so. She would love to have said that she’s the perfect soldier, that she loved to kill but for her the opposite was true. Hearing the woman mocking the only presents she had ever received made her angry, made her want to yell or scream at the woman, the only thing she would do however is stare at her briefly her eyes narrowing. She would not even bother to respond though she would let her eyes linger that little bit longer.

When the door erupted off its hinges and journeyed forth across the room on it’s destination to splinterville Silvarae would be completely startled dropping into a combat stance and both fangs of Fenrir being drawn immediately. The next words that followed did little to alleviate the tension she now felt, The woman was impossibly strong, Silvarae had thought herself strong, that is until this woman shattered the door without so much as a single bead of sweat appearing on her brow. ‘no, no, no.’ she thought to herself her eyes actually going wide in fear as she stumbled away from the woman whom had now identified herself as a rune.

She would fight to regain her composure, the others in the room now all but forgotten as her eyes remained on the woman whom she now assigned the largest threat level of them all, When Isa showed a little disregard for the womans obscene strength she would regain her composure. If at the very least she tried anything there would now be enough people here to subdue her, or so she deemed.

A couple of other people had joined since all of which passed well below the Rune Uruz for their threat assessment meaning that she was the target of scrutiny for Silvarae. She mostly ignored what they were talking about and the muffins held little interest to her having eaten before working out this morning already she wasn’t exactly hungry.

Volkir remains silent, staring at the table. He takes out a brown sack and opens it, popping what seemed like a marshmallow in his mouth. He eyes Kana who seems to be entertained with picking at the others.@Kuroakuma "Friends huh?" he said, responding to her comment. " I don't have many....friends, after all, I'm not very sociable either..." He returns to gazing at the table as he crouches in his seat, hugging his knees.

As another rune enters, Volkir turns to see a crimson haired girl come in. His facial expression only changed slightly at her presence. It was like he was lost, there was something about her, something that made him grow curious about her. He also grew curious about Kana as well. He probably would never speak to them unless they addressed him first. He lacked social skills, which makes him the way he is now, a silent, emotionless being who eats sweets to stay awake.

Maeve noticed the muffins, but did not reach for one. "Thanks for the offer, 'Muffin Mistress,'" Maeve started, but promptly shut up as one Mr. Clifton entered the room with what seemed to be intentions of starting something.

The meeting, probably. Or a fight.

He looked like the kind of uppity prick she had reveled in throwing out of the club by the bands their boxers when they got too drunk.

All suit-pressed and self-important.

Maeve drifted back in the general direction of Isa, who seemed to at least know half of what the hell was going on here. "Helluva opening ceremony, eh?"

The sudden outward explosion of doors forced Makorai's attention away from the cross-legged woman he was connecting with, and toward the sudden appearance of Uruz. He hadn't paid attention to most of what the kind folks who gave him a place to crash in had said, but something about the sudden show of force had pulled this word association right from his subconscious. Her apology indicated a temperament that hopefully tempered her strength. Hopefully.

Getting slapped was one thing, getting thrown through a wall wasn't an experience he wanted.

Another girl was offering muffins.

Perfect. He hadn't eaten yet today, and the sake he had stashed in the training room bathroom probably needed something to sit on anyway.

"Pretty girl with Muffins? How could I say no. Thanks, I'm Makorai, Mako to friends." He cheerfully took one, and, ignoring Clifton and Oren's hesitation entirely, tossed a second to his cross legged rune claiming friend across the room. The muffin arced into the air, passed harmlessly over Clifton during the descent, and landed squarely in the crook of her lap, right side up, despite his line of sight being cut off from the bespoke blonde.

He turned back to Maave who has spoken again, and the slow look of realization crossed his face.

"Hey, I know you. Iron Hand Bryne. Toughest bouncer on the strip. I know a few guys who avoid your shift religiously"

Where to begin?
Kana looked up at the woman addressing her, locking eyes with her own.
"You look like a bird."
Idly taking the pen and paper from the woman, Kana scrutinized it before putting it aside. The woman was distracted for a moment regardless, and Kana was fine with that. Of course, it was doubtful she wasn't under scrutin-
Aaaand a door slammed across the room.
"Well fuck me sideways that's a bit much."
Looking up at Volkir, she grinned and nodded. "Yep, friends! Let's all be good friends!"

Giving the redhead who entered the room the briefest of glances, she cocked her head to the side as something clicked in the back of her head. Shrugging to herself as Amity introduced herself, a tiny smirk slid across Kana's lips.
Amity herself took a moment to straighten her collar, chuckling nervously as she walked properly into the room. Noticing the blonde woman practically about to collapse, Amity gave her a happy wave and smile before moving over to the muffins.
"Hey, I'll take one of these."
Stuffing the muffin into her mouth, she gave Jeddah a thumbs up as she ate. She hadn't eaten in about 12 hours, too buys swinging around her giant weapon to really do much else. Her entire body was aching, honestly, and getting something in her stomach sounded great.
The comments by two of the other Runes fully registering in her mind, she went to respond with a mouth full of muffin but held up her hand and swallowed quickly.
"Ah, yeah. I'm getting better, but right now all I can really do well is-"
The muffin smushed in her grip.
"Not hold things. I can swing a pretty big sword around, though, which is fun."
Amity didn't think telling everyone just how big her weapon was would make this any less awkward, so she didn't. They'd find out later, maybe. Turning back around as two new people entered the room, Amity gave them a quick look over.
One was a girl wearing possibly the greatest sweater she'd ever seen.
The other was a man that immediately put her on edge and she had absolutely no good idea why.

Kana on the other hand knew exactly why. The smell of cleaning products hung around the man addressing her like a cloud.
It smelled like a disinfected crime scene or something dramatic like that. Kana blinked as a muffin landed perfectly in her lap, having curved over Clifton's head and landed face-up. That was interesting. She didn't see who threw it since her eyes were currently blocked by the well-dressed problem, so she waved her hand out to the side and gave a peace sign. "Thanks for the muffin whoever gave it you're awesome and I love your face!"
However..
As Clifton addressed her, Kana frowned and took a bite of her muffin. It was harder than she'd expected to get left alone here, but at least she'd climbed through the window before all the sketchy people arrived. Wasn't anyone as silly as they used to be anymore? Sighing and standing up with empty paper still on the floor, Kana gave Clifton a small smile and took his hand.
"Care to introduce yourself?"
"Nope. I've never met anyone here before, so isn't it a bit weird for me to just toss my name around willy-nilly?"
She shook his hand as she'd shake anyone's hand, making sure her nails didn't slice into him or anything. He might attack her, but she wouldn't attack him. She's a pacifist, obviously. A pacifist that eats people BUT a pacifist nonetheless.
Kana idly looked over to the person the potentially dangerous man had spoken to just before- she hadn't even noticed him walk in since she'd been preoccupied. She gave him a wave with her free hand, turning back to survey the rest of the room.
Well, it's not like this could end badly.
For her.
Pulling back from the man's grip, Kana put her hands on her heart and swayed. "Ah, but my dear sir, is it not uncouth of thineself to ask a maiden's name before giving thou own? Oh, woe is me, thou art but a well-dressed beggar!" A soft laugh escaped the girl's lips as she held up her hands and grinned. "C'mon. We're all friends here. I have no reason to attack anyone, being a fellow Rune and all~"

Having scoffed down the rest of the crushed muffin as quickly as possible, Amity brushed a few stray scraps from her mouth and ate them too. Waste not want not and all that jazz. She hadn't responded to the well-dressed man since her mouth was full, but she was glad that someone would fix the door. Looking over to him again, Amity's eyes narrowed at the girl whose hand he was shaking. It wasn't that she was angry at that girl or anything, but Amity knew she didn't belong here one bit. It seemed like several others agreed with that notion, and Amity silently moved to the back of the room.
Of all the people.
She should've brought her sword.
Crossing her arms, Amity retracted that thought. As much as she hated it, she knew she might get dragged into something annoying.
She owed that little brat, really.
She hated that.

Maeve turned at hearing her name, and broke into an immediate lopsided smirk. "I take it you're not a fan of my work, then?" she replied with a chuckle, looking the apparent alcoholic over with renewed interest. He was good looking, if you were into the 'I ride a motorcycle and think I'm hot shit' aesthetic. The 'I don't deserve love, but I'll buy you drinks and turn on my tactless charm until you're intrigued enough to ask why' type that she had seen blow through more than once in a while.

Possibly a case of "dad didn't love me enough, so I'll hide my head in a bottle and my cock in a woman.'

She didn't know him, but his type was easy enough to guess. "I can't say I've had the pleasure of throwing you out personally, though. Makorai, was it? Kind of pleased to know there's someone from my scrap of town mussing around, though." Her tone was joking as she added to Muffin Maiden and Isa, "It's a bit like bringing your own trash on vacation, you know?"

-----

Leila Michelle Ingram had not planned on coming to the meeting. She had monitors to listen to, commands to type, and a mansion to watch. Her plan had been to wiggle a mounted camera from side to side when Clifton mentioned her, and then go back to her work. It was not so much that she wanted to avoid being around the Runes as it was that she, well... She was avoiding being around most anyone.

Catching eight twenty-somethings scattered throughout the world and making sure that they lived up to and until the point was not easy work. She was looking forward to having a slow day while her coworkers managed all of the cats in one place.

And then a window breach pinged into her earpiece. "Dammit." A cool chill ran down her spine, and she froze, only for a split second. She typed a command onto her computer, flicked open her tablet, and pulled the screen down onto it. Her glasses, thick as the bottoms of an old glass pop bottle, reflected the glare of her display as she tapped away at the touch screen. "Dammit, dammit dammit, dammit."

One more tap, and she was holding the side of her earpiece and heading for the door. "Mr. Clifton, this is Officer Ingram. Disengage the threat and redirect the topic immediately. If possible, direct her to the hall. I'm on my way."

She took off out the door of her dimly lit office, grabbing a folded cane along her way and tucking it neatly under one arm in case she should need it. The mansion had been her home long enough that she could find her way without tapping about.

And, just in case...

"I repeat, do not shoot the intruder."

Morgan had walked in after the door had fallen off its hinges from the woman who had walked in a little bit before him. Morgan had to guess that that was the rune of Uruz. He had read about the runes during his stay in his room. People were eating muffins, and he had to admit that he kind of wanted to eat some. Kind of. And then the Blessed, Clifton, greeted him. Morgan offered no response, as none was needed. The last time he had seen Clifton, it had been when he was pinned on the floor and as he was being injected with the serum that put him to sleep when they had taken him away.

No one else had seemed to notice him, which Morgan was quite used to in his life. He had to admit though, that he had hoped it wouldn't have happened this time. When he had first started doing track, no one knew he was on the team for weeks. When he started doing gymnastics and martial arts, they had forgotten to bill him for a while because they thought he wasn't coming to lessons. That was fun.
It seemed that there were more people in the room than necessary, as most seemed suspicious of a girl who had not identified herself. Then again, Morgan hadn't identified himself. But he hadn't needed to, with no one sensing his presence. Maybe, this time, it was because everyone was older than him. That was probably the reason. That, or just because of all the reasons before; he was small, scrawny, and strange. And so he made no attempts to be noticed until he needed to be.

Helena was doing her best to navigate the room without losing her cargo, when she noticed she'd been approached. It was somewhat unusual to be working around anyone shorter than her fairly unimpressive height, so it took a moment to catch Dawn.

"Oh! Thanks I'm honestly fine. It's really not a-"
she was cut off as CLifton breezed past and removed one of the contained from her grip.
"Really I don't need any help."

She gave a slightly strained smile before setting the coffee and milk down on the table and pulling a set of insulated cups from a large pocket in her voluminous sweater.

She might have maybe had more to say, but Clifton seemed very much occupied with one of the current attendees, who Oren was now back to owlishly glaring at.
"You seem to have forgotten my request." the Isa rune spoke, the whole situation setting alarm bells off.
"Draw your rune."

Helena, for her own part, took the point to step a little way back from the confrontation, with some intent to grab the coffee pot if things turned ugly less it end up emptied on someone's face. She was in no way qualified in security procedure. She wasn't even super qualified in office procedure.

"Wouldn't even have a chance..." Volkir mumbles to himself after examining both@Kuroakuma Kana and Amity. " I guess its bests not to try...". He sighs, finishing his marshmallow before popping another one in his mouth. He then noticed another rune come in. "And here comes another..." He says eyeing @GoodLuckTuckMorgan as he walked in. Volkir could tell that he was male, but he also notices the femininity he carries. On that note, Volkir could tell he didn't care about gender. In truth Volkir really didn't care for gender either, yet he's mainly been attracted to girls. That doesn't mean he hasn't had thoughts of it.

So many thoughts ran through Volkir's head. Why were they here? What is their purpose? Why are Runes only here? Where is the cake? He looks around the room once more to study everyone in the room. Yet again he finds himself getting lost in looking at Kana and Amity again. Maybe, I will. When the time is right, but who. Who am I kidding, I'm way too different.
