✠ G R A D O N G I L T W I T H ✠
Current Location: Village Ruins

Much like Ires, by the time Gradon came around to joining the rest of the cadets, the Rocs had already been dealt with. With the exception of Regina’s injuries, their group had come out of the conflict without worse for wear. Speaking of those same injuries, he took the time to put his gaze on Regina curiously for a few moments before turning back to the gory scene in front of him. And what a scene it was, red coating almost everyone in sight. Though he had a feeling Leblanc may have enjoyed her new “war paint” and maybe even Clean too if that yell was to be accounted for.

At least they wouldn’t be going starving on this night. As the fires were put up and camp was set, the cadets would enjoy a good meal together under the darkness of the ruins. When morning finally came, Gradon set about to preparing himself for whatever the rest of the journey had in store. Whatever had spooked those Rocs couldn’t have been too far off so they were getting close to their target.

“What’s going on here?” he asked when he regrouped with the others. Apparently, Viola had spotted something in the distance, of which she described as a glint. Gradon frowned, not liking the implications of what it could be. “We’re in the middle of old ruins and nature so I don’t think we should be seeing too many glinting objects out here…. it’s most likely a trap,” he said.

The others seemed to agree and soon enough a scouting party was put together. Gradon called out for Natus and Regina to follow Leblanc in leading the scouting party, before considering Szeren’s words. “Yes, that’s a good idea. You go with them too, Szeren,” he said, giving the group of four two individuals of stealth and now two back up fire.

“I agree that a counter ambush should be the best solution. Therefore, the scout group can lead them out while everyone else follows close behind. Whatever the best solution is, be it smoking the enemy out or by other means can be decided by the scout group among themselves. After all, we don’t know if it’s friend or foe over there,” he said, looking at the four assigned to the task. “Whatever you do, we’ll act according and we’ll be ready.”

Leblanc Farris

[[ Location : Abandoned Settlement]]

"This is more then I would have invested, but you are the commanders." Leblanc opined with a shrug, not overtly concerned considering Szeren and Regina would be far enough back not to increase the odds of detection significantly. "No point waiting around if just turns out are running toward a left over wind chime, so let's head out now. Hmm Viola, if we are to not return here, could you grab my sleeping roll and kit? I'd rather remain light right now."

It was a bit bizarre that they had now split themselves from squad strength to a near full fireteam without either Gradon or Ires involved, though skillsets involved excluded them from anything requiring subterfuge.
Looking over Natsu, Regina, and Szeren, Leblanc opted to skip the formalities of democratic election-
A laughable novelty for the Imperials present- and hitched her thumb towards their objective.

"Alright, let's move fast and quiet. Those ruins look pretty compact here so let's approach and surround in a reverse wedge formation. Natsu and I will take the tips while our marksmen take the back center. We surround them, ascertain the situation, and engage as appropriate. This could be a goose chase, or we could come across some audacious bandits hiding beyond the long arm of the law, or simply despert citizens looking to make their money where they can, so look for any signs of identification and leave the bodies intact. Natsu and Regina, exercise restraint in utilizing firearms and explosives, as we are deep in the thick of monster country and I'd not want to stir up every nest between here and the objective of this overall mission. Any questions?"

She punctuated the briefing with the click of her heel, completing the imitation of the cadet's once feared drill sergeant to a T. They were by no means obligated to salute the NCO but she would have broken character to grin if they had.

"Now then, let's be off."

The ensueing trek through the woods and hills to approach the faint glimmer was the endeavor of a few hours, coinciding with the rough timing of the captured Cadet's awakening and ensuing escape attempt. Where they not cautious of traps and needing to keep apace of one another, Natsu and Leblanc could have been there and back, but as it were their concerns were well founded.

"Another one." Leblanc remarked lowly, signalling towards the back pair of marksmen that she'd encountered a snare prepared along the brush, one curiously placed without the expected bait with which to catch wild game and left far from the nearest animal trail. Either it was intended for an unimpressive monster, or someone was looking to take humans alive. They would be no great concern if they kept abreast of their presence, though beating a retreat may be complicated if they didn't have a cleared path.

Her hands waved forward, motioning them onward and expecting Regina and Szeren to relay the same to Natsu on the other end of the wedge. Circumventing the traps which grew more populace as she approached, Leblanc dropped to her stomach and crept beneath the last few inches of bush to come across the dilapidated remains of a settlement, hardly worth calling a hamlet for all that was left of it.

And it was readily apparent their paranoia was paying dividends, as from the nearest building was the barrel of a scoped rifle, aimed in what could be surmised to be the direction of the Cadet's own camp. The flash of a sniper's scope- Blessedly out of range- had given their pursuers away.

TZI TI'AMTUM

Tzi had enjoyed eating the Rocs more than usual.

It wasn't that he wasn't used to eating animals he had hunted before, but taking down all those birds with his pals had really made cooking the big birds up and consuming their tender, juicy flesh more satisfying than usual. Was that spice and pizazz a result of having the power of friends around to help out? Tzi Ti'amtum wasn't too sure, but he was definitely giving props to how quickly Leblanc had stripped the Rocs of their feathers. Made cooking so much quicker.

A really nice dinner aside, it was really looking like certain someones were trying to trap them in the ruins ahead. He might not have been too experienced with traps, but a shiny glint in the middle of an old abandoned building long reclaimed by nature was pretty suspicious. Or it could be a bird hoarding items, but either way, they would probably be buggers they needed to beat up.

"Could be an ambush," he mused, stretching himself out against the ground to reduce his profile. Just in case whoever it was over there could get a good bead on him. Getting hit by an arrow wasn't on his agenda for the day. "Maybe not, but better safe than sorry, yeah?"

He comfortably settled into position, but if trouble did strike, it wouldn't be too hard for him to worm his body out of the way.

"What would other humans want with us, though?" he continued, deciding to take advantage of the lull as the scouting team left. "Probably not gonna try and be mates. Going after the Princess would be a big deal? What do you guys think."

Natus sneaked close to the group, but on the fringes of their formation. As they got closer, the enemies come into line of sight. He spoke up to the group, but obviously quietly "We have spotted enemies, if we are to proceeded, we need a plan. Otherwise, it is best to regroup with the others. There are probably more instead. I suggest sending one of us back to alert the group as we proceed forward to set up a surprise attack that we spring whenever the larger group is close enough to provide support."

Zarin Malthain

Location: Ruin Prison

Pacing in his cell, Zarin eyed the door looking for a weak point. Breaking it would have been like ripping paper if it weren’t for the damn anti vessel tech blocking their powers, so for now he would have to find the most rusted and corroded point of the door and break it down. After a few seconds he noticed the hinges were in such disrepair that they were barely even connected to the door at this point. The second the guards left, he would break this thing down.

The moment came sooner than later, as the soldiers refused to dedicate any guards and only checked on them every now and then. For trained soldiers, this was a pretty stupid mistake, and soon it would be a fatal one as well. Immediately Zarin rushed towards his cell and started kicked the bottom hinge. He could hear the metal crack with each hit until it snapped leaving the door hanging by the top. Unfortunately, he didn’t have time to get the top before he heard a large crash in the cell next to him.

Seconds after a group of soldiers showed up and ran into the cell. There was a brief pause before a huge commotion could be heard, no doubt someone was fighting the guards. Zarin wasn’t about to let one of his fellow cadets take them on alone and quickly went back to work. Pressing against the bars with his shoulder, Zarin pushed with all his strength, but the door still held.

He continued pushing until he heard the voice of a man mocking Luin as if he had triumphed in the scuffle. Oh he was going to pay for that! Backing up to the back of his cell, Zarin charged full speed and slammed into the cell door. The final hinge snapped and the door came crashing down, the only warning anyone would get before Zarin ran in ready to kick some ass.

To his his disappointment, Foley had beaten him to the punch and knifed the last guard. Zarin tried to say something in response to Foley’s “wait and hold out” plan, but as he was still gagged and unable to remove it due to his cuffs, all that came out was an angry “Mrphh rphhrrr!”

Egwene

"Argh... Can't you see that a girl is trying to take a nap...?" Egwene snorted, having woken up from snapping sounds of the iron bars. Trying to rub away her eye crusts, she felt her hand being restrained in cuffs. Now, how did I end up here? The last time I remembered was when I was sleeping, I mean scouting in the woods... She straightened up her white robes, trying to make sense of the surroundings and the loud noises that sounds out constantly. The dungeon was the worst dungeon she has ever seen in her life, brown rusty walls instead of those clean grey walls.

"Now I just have to just cut them open," Egwene reached for her waist until she realised that her sword was also confiscated. "Great."

Egwene stood up, now too unnerved to even bother yawning. Reaching for the cell doors, she kicked on the iron bars ferociously. "DAMNNIT OPEN UP, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" Egwene bellowed, her voice echoing across the corridor as she lost her temper.

Slowly Foley moved from his spot, using the keys to unlock Zarin's cuffs and pulled off his gag as well. "Sorry, you missed the action." He paused hearing the sharp kick to the iron bars picking up a rifle tossing it to Zarin. "Watch the hallway, we don't know how many are still around... Or heard all noise we're making." He moved to Egwene's cell unlocking the door carefully.

"Keep it down, we really don't have any weapons for a fight against a bunch of these guys." He added moving towards the door picking up another dropped rifle. "So... We have a few options. Try and slip through the place and find our weapons. We can try and signal for help, but they could draw the enemy to us quickly as well. Lastly, we can try and use these weapons to fight our way out."

Carefully Foley began to strip each soldier of his weapons, ammo, and anything else they could use against those who had captured them. "So, any thoughts... I'm wounded as well by the way... Beat my leg pretty hard so I can't really run." He answered aiming the rifle to test the sights. "I vote we try to signal the others, and use this position to defend ourselves against enemies while we wait for help."

Shadows dappled her skin, matching the patterns of light and dark that covered the trees. Not just the patterns of light and shade but also that of the bark. The effect was a near perfect camouflage.

A single hand became visible, signaling the others to proceed with caution. Her other hand held her crossbow in a ready position. The smaller than standard weapon would make an almost imperceptible noise compared to something full sized.

"It might be difficult for the large group to approach with the sentries in place. Ideally we could eliminate several to create a blind spot to approach through."

As Foley removed Zarin’s cuff and gag, he mentioned that he had missed the action. “Don't worry, taking this guy down almost makes up for you surrendering before.” Zarin replied harshly as he caught the rifled tossed at him. Even if it had been the smartest action at the time, Zarin still hated Foley’s choice to surrender rather than fight.

Checking the rifle to make sure it was loaded, Zarin aimed at the entrance ready on the trigger. Though he heard no steps approaching, part of him wished there were still more on the way. After being caged in his sleep and stripped of his vessel, he was itching to put a bullet or two between the eyes of these soldiers.

Once Egwene was freed, Foley gave them their choices and opted for them to try and signal for help. “Fine by me.” Zarin said reaching for more ammo from Foley. “I'll gladly take on any asshat who walks through this door with or without our vessels. Though if Morgan does his job we won't need to worry about that will we?”

The back door of the ruined church was guarded by a pair of soldiers, one to each side of the doorway. There was no door as well, but that was more of a negative, as it would be easier for the people in the church to hear anything going on outside.

So... How to do this...

Sighing to himself, Morgan crept closer, taking position behind a lay lying wall a few meters from the doorway. The remaining ground between them was covered in grass, but it was far too short to provide adequate cover.

So let's see, likelihood of success? I'll put it at around 20% for everything to go as planned, 30% for everything to fall apart, and 50% for outside interference despite success.

Decent odds.

Readying himself, Morgan charged out from behind his cover at the sentinel closest to him, crossing the distance in a little under a second and slamming the into the man, using the momentum to smash his head into the wall behind him, the force of the impact stunning him. Shifting his stance, Morgan grabbed the rifle leaning against the wall beside him and swung it toward the second man's head, only to have it blocked by his target's weapon in a similar manner.

Jumping backwards, Morgan raised his stolen rifle and pulled off a quick shot at the gun's former owner, piercing his helm and killing him, but giving the second time to line up his own shot. He quickly shifted back to his Ethereal form as he turned and ran, the stolen rifle falling from his hands, the guard's bullet passing passed through him and embedded itself in a small hill a distance away.

Damn, how did I forget to account for the lack of dampening on their guns! Everyone in the building must have head those shots!

Even after escaping view of the building in the smaller ruins surrounding it, he remained in ethereal form as he collapsed to the ground, panting.

Damn. There's no way I can pull that off again.

Sighing, he reverted to human form as he sat against the wall, still breathing heavily.

Even if I didn't manage to get my guns back, there's no way those guys there will be able to leave this be. Maybe the others can use this as a chance to escape.

As soon as she heard Gradon assign her to the scout team, Regina did not waste any time. Realizing that her uniform was not suited for such work, she put her bag down and began to take out a certain uniform that Regina treasured. It was a militia uniform, more specifically a militia called the Irregulars, that her father gave to Regina before she went to the academy. The clothing was not meant to be used in the Empire's service by any means, but when it came to blending in with the forests the uniform performed well and in fact excelled. The uniform was also a symbol of Regina, and a good look at how she was raised. By a scruffy, former scout of the Empire's army that rose to the ranks of the nobility.

As she was listening to Leblanc, of whose actions she approved of due to her hatred of democracy in a military hierarchy, Regina could be observed changing behind a bush close-by, though the bush did not completely censor the sight. As she was undressing and redressing, Regina's Irregular uniform could be observed to be in a pea dot camouflage pattern. The only exception to this was the camouflage cloak that she pulled out of her bag, which was meant specifically for environments such as this. While the cloak was not her's alone she did ask for it before being sent out into the wilderness, though she will have to turn it in to their quartermaster afterward. Slipping on some gloves, Regina said to Leblanc unaffected by the imitation of the drill sergeant, "No questions. Let's move." Whatever it was, Regina now had a lot more confidence and pride upon donning the irregular uniform, much more than in her cadet uniform. She made sure to leave most of her supplies, including her sword, with the rest, ensuring that she kept her hatchet.

The trek to the ruins was slightly long, but not difficult. In fact, the trek was not difficult even when they ran into their first few traps. Having become extremely adept when it came to traps, Regina understood that these traps were for the capture of live targets and while made by professionals they were not a real threat to the pathfinder team. In fact, Regina was able to disarm quite a few of the traps before they could even be detected. However she doubted anyone that wasn't a trained pathfinder at the very least would be able to spot so many traps, especially under pressure. Receiving notice of the sniper ahead while Regina was crawling through the grass, Regina knew there'd be at least a spotter or another sniper around. Unless they were eliminated the rest of the cadets could possibly make a mistake and charge into a field of traps. No, Regina had the sneaking suspicion that they had to go in themselves and eliminate the enemy.

Upon hearing Natus's suggestion, Regina had to agree and disagree at the same time. She ensured her voice was hushed before replying "Going back is a viable option, but the rest are not trained in path-finding and are extremely likely to fall for traps while under pressure. Even if they were, going back and forth only increases the chance of detection. No, I think we need to eliminate the snipers at least and investigate the situation more thoroughly with our full strength, but that is Leblanc's call." Regina already had her rifle on target of the sniper, though she moved slowly to ensure stealth and to cover Leblanc and Natus. She kept an eye on the other guards. A few were going inside the structure, though just like smart guards they were never alone whenever she saw them.

Egwene

"Fine." Egwene retorted, clenching her teeth. She didn't expect to see another Imperial cadet here, and she knew better not to act rashly in front of them. She walked out of the cell, unlocking her own cuffs as she did. So I'm not the only one captured, very competent indeed, the Imperial Army...

"I can't aim," Egwene made a quick glance at the rifle Foley has, "But, it seemed that I can draw out my sword here."

Egwene summoned her vessel, a longsword, and activated by unsheathing it, "YIPEEEE HOORAYYY-----" Egwene's sword glowed white, her vessel emitting noises of screams and laughters. A sword as disturbing as it is would attract more than enough attention.

"Plans? Who needs them? Lets just tear down this damned place, bit by bit~" She ended up charging recklessly towards the guards, both her hands clenched on the sword enthusiastically.

Foley sighed as he summoned his bow. "First off what we're going to do before, they had us out numbered and at short range. They wanted us alive and escaping here is a lot easier than trying to face down a bunch of soldiers after days of travel on foot." Foley answered as his books returned to his side, then he summoned his bow and quiver, throwing the rifle strap over his shoulder as he started to follow Egwene.

"Well, I suppose she's decided what we are doing, attack it is. Let's find the rest of our things and get out of here." He sighed, knowing with these two there was little point in trying to come up with a plan or even set out a standard pattern of attack. "If we can get outside of this place I should be able to tell where we are, I grew up here in Orello, I was sent up here to act as a scout and guide for the terrain." He explained as he moved through the halls three arrows in his left hands one placed against the string two others ready to be fired in rapid succession.

"Clear the base, find Morgan, and then find the other Imperial troops." He swiftly told his two friends, ignoring the burning in his leg as they moved along looking for a battle.

Leblanc Farris

[[ Location : Enemy Encampment]]

Inured to creep back through the brush, she leveled a glare with as much severity as she could muster from a distance towards to Szeren and Regina as their conversing reached admittedly sensitive ears. Natsu, being on the opposite end of the wedge formation, was rather out of sight and earshot, thus the marksmen had been the receivers and transmitters of messages, and now received the brunt of ire. With a fan of throwing knives in hand and a talon in the other, she drew the steel before her neck in a cutting motion to silence them now that they were nearly atop the enemy and crept back to join them.

"We are continuing with the plan." Her voice was a clipped hiss, barely audible even inches away from one another. "You two hold position. Natsu and I will engage and you support when concealment is lost."

Leblanc didn't take herself to be fratricidal by any stretch, her inclination to violence being too refined for such self-harming barbarism, but the lack of confidence in the abilities of her fellow Vessel users was baffling. Did their parents beat them and keep them locked up in cupboards all there lives before they joined the Imperial Army? She was starting to imagine why officers were so stereo-typically seen as alcoholics if this was the norm for green as grass troops.

Restraining herself from sighing in an audible fashion, her eyes racked across the foliage ahead and found Natsu waiting for some response from the marksman, one she answered with a crisp slash towards the encampment and a bit of murderous intent behind her gaze to marshal him onward. She scampered back to her bush without further distraction and darted out of the verdant cover to stalk behind the backs of a passing pair of guards on their patrol. They'd looped the cluster of civilization, mostly a handful of dilapidated hovels in varying states of disrepair, and marched towards a larger building in the center that looked more like a town hall or inn for the width of the building alone. A squat one story affair, perhaps with a cellar if Leblanc were to hazard a guess, and most certainly the root of these organized marauders.

When the came upon the leeward side of a solitary wall, she struck amidst the shadow cast with knives thrown in a vertical arc against the back of the right most man, while the talon slid with an almost natural grace around the throat of his compatriot. With but a flick of wrists one found his skull pierced from behind twice over, not even accounting for the one piercing between the vertebrae along his neck and those that sank into his upper back, and the other sprayed the shaded grass a crimson most glorious to behold. They fell soon after and were dragged against the stonework before Leblanc crept onward, wet blades at the ready and clutched ever more firmly as the raucous noise of a here-to-unknown occurring within the target building began to reach her.

World's End Strait

The battle at the ruins was going well and fine for the cadets. Even if the scouting party didn't even touch the old ruins, the former cative knights found a way to free themselves and bring the battle back to their captors. The scouts would soon notice a great disarray among their targets.

The soldiers' attention shifted to damage control. Their leader shouted orders for the small part of his squad that still stood after the rebellion. After taking advantage of his high perch to single the one who seemed to have initiated the escape, the leader said, "Stupid brats, we were going to go easy on you, after our business was done for but no... you had to make it hard for us. Let's see what you think of the taste of hot lead, first thing in the morning!" and opened fired on Morgan, giving him no quarter.

However, something unexpected, even to the soldiers, happened just as the leader pulled the trigger.

Instead of the the typical gun crack one would expect, a loud scream reverberated through the ruins as if coming from the atmosphere itself. It was loud enough to be heard clearly all the way back to the camp of where the remainder of the Cadets wait and even the river where Esther bathed herself innocently.
"What the—!" Viola nearly jumped out of her skin. The scream snapped her attention which was focused on the ruins and the team they sent to explore it. It's not hard to imagine that she would have been taken by surprise in such a case.

Meanwhile, "Ghh!" Ires fell to her knees, clutching her head as if she were having a head splitting headache. "I—I feel as if something really bad is about to happen," she managed to say while reeling painfully. "We... need to go help the other, or..." Ires never did finish her phrase, instead she fell flatly against the ground. Whatever ailment got over the Princess, it certainly struck her hard as was evident in the way she passed out, her body covered in cold sweat and labored breathing.

Viola dashed to Ires' side and lifted the Princess in a bridal carry, helping the distressed girl back to her tent. A moment later, she looked at Gradon, their appointed leader and asked, "What do we do now? I don't know what's happening, but I have I very bad feeling about this." While she waited for Gradon's answer, Viola began to relieve Ires of her armor and wipe the sweat off with a wet towel.
Back at the ruins, the scream was heard once more. This time its location was distinguishable. It came from right where the leader of the soldiers stood. In fact, it came right from him. Or better, it came from the mysterious tattoo in his neck as the man was wrapped in a layer of darkness as if a great serpent coiled itself around him. Soon enough, the sickening sound of bones being crushed, living flesh ground as well as the soldier's wails of agony were added to the last instance of the sinister scream.
A moment later, something stood from a poodle of gore and what seemed to be liquid darkness. The beast, which was nearly thrice as tall as Tzi, was made of the same stuff from which it seemed to have materialized from. It stared around aimless, an expression of shock and pain was briefly visible in its face, before nothing but rage took over it.

The other soldiers quickly fell into total chaos, running to save their lives as the creature targeted all, friend or foes, without any regard. No attack they tried seemed to hurt it. It was as if they were trying to shoot or slash at blood and shadows. No normal weapon could do anything against it. Soon enough, most of those who were not smart enough to run found themselves dead.

A moment later, the creature turned around, as if remembering the last target on his former human mind.

With a mighty leap, it pounced on Morgan, effortlessly crashing through the walls of the building as it attempted to destroy its prey at all costs.

Esther von Degraff

When the scream entered Esther's ears, the girl's face turned pale. No, pale would be an understatement, as she had never heard something that horrifying in her entire life.

"W-w-w-what was that?" she said to herself.

Quickly, she finished her bath. Something terrible had happened, she was sure of it. She must quickly regroup with the others.

She ran as fast as she could to the tent, utilizing her vessel to enhance her speed. In no time at all she was there in front of Gradon, panting as she was quite exhausted from the trip.

"W-what was... that scream..." she asked him. If anyone knew, it should be either him or the princess since they two were their leaders.

Zarin Malthain

Location: Ruin Prison

As he watched Egwene and Foley both summon their vessels, Zarin quickly looked down to see his dog tags hanging around his neck. Huh. He must have missed them walking in and out of the cells. Oh well! He had his vessel and really that's all that mattered.

Slinging the rifle over his shoulder, Zarin grabbed his dog tags and yanked them off. Instantly they changed into a chain whip perfectly coiled in his hand. “Much better. Now then, how about we go kick some-” Before he could finish, Egwene charged straight passed him screaming about tearing this place down bit by bit. Zarin stood there for a second in slight shock before slowly turning to Foley and saying with a smile “I like this girl! WAIT FOR US!”

Exiting the prison in a full sprint, Zarin didn’t hesitate to attack the first soldier he saw. Swinging his whip he wrapped the chain around the target soldier’s neck and gave it a good tug. A satisfying snap could be heard as the bone was split and the soldier fell lifeless to the ground.

It was about the only surprise attack he would get before their position was compromised and every remaining soldier descended on their position.Zarin took down two or three more soldiers in the ensuing skirmish before the enemy leader spoke up. Zarin intended to mock the man’s threats, but was instead stunned and forced to a knee by the scream that followed. “What the hell was that?” He muttered angrily pushing himself to his feet and looking around for the source.

Once his eyes gazed up at the monster in front of him, he was overcome with a mixture of fear and excitement. He had never faced something of this size before, and the way it effortlessly dispatched its former squadmates was truly something to behold. Nevertheless, Zarin was not about to turn and run like the remaining soldiers, especially now as the beast chased his friend.

“HEY UGLY!” Zarin yelled igniting his whip and spinning it forming a circle of fire. “EAT THIS!” With a solid crack of the weapon he launched a fireball straight at the head of the monster hoping to draw it away from Morgan.

Crispin Clean

Wet hacking sounds continues to sound out, the snow white suit now stained a deep crimson. Stomping his way on top of the Roc's corpse, Clean jammed his rapier between the avian vertebrae and twisted. A rough tearing and a cathartic crunching snap as the spine of the dead bird was brutally severed.

"I have a new least favourite creature." blade looking more red than normal, Clean whipped the rapier in an arc a thin red crescent as the blood was flung from the blade. Looking up he saw the group was more scattered than normal when after a battle. New objective, new goal. Scanning the area Clean was about to look for someone when the mind rending screech shredded through the air, feeling the reverberations in his chest. Noting the direction Clean ignored stealth in favor of speed, making haste to the location. Bursting onto the scene Clean skidded to a halt covering his mouth in disgust to the point where he didn't even notice he left a bloody hand print over his mouth.

"I didn't expect my least favourite creature to be one upped so soon." Disgusting, black like tar, looking heavy and dense. The sheer nature of the beast ignited a flame of rage within him. This monster was a blight on the world and needed to be eviscerated... annihilated.

Bipedal creature, top heavy with broad shoulders. Seemingly based on a gorilla in basic structure? Rear legs resemble a canine, so more like a lycanthrope than a gorilla. Expect high agility and wide range with the claws. Arm length is significant are sharp. Use a simple strategy until more information about the thing is learnt, hamstring to limit movement and keep out of range of the claws by either staying outside the attack range or so close no significant power can be put behind the blows. Other's aren't fellow cadets. They're a secondary priority to ridding the world of this filth. With the game plan in mind Clean circled around to the left of the beast and lunged for the hamstring, blade leading the way, not even sure if the pitch black mass contorted in a facsimile of life conformed to natural biology, but if he didn't even try then there would be no way for him to know.

Egwene

Egwene's temper has soothened down after hacking down the guards one after another. Just when she was about to feel satisfied after returning the favour of capturing her without permission, the one guy who seemed to be a leader has summoned a wild beast who attacks Morgan. And judging the people it targets, it doesn't look so obeidient.

"Oh, I almost forgot, you're wounded right?" Egwene turned back to Foley, sheathing her sword. Now more capable of thinking rationally, She let the beast to be occupied with Zarin for the moment, and spoke to Foley gently. "I'm healing you, so close your eyes and don't dodge, or I will kill you~"

"YAY--" Egwene made one menacing draw of her sword, her Healing Blade as if let loose and screaming in excitement, as she sends a diagonal slash across Foley's torso. The way she swings the sword, and the sound effect of it, makes it look like she is more into killing him than healing.

When Leblanc looked so hostile at Regina, she was admittedly confused at first as she spoke very quietly when she did so. However, as more information came Regina realized that with the way she acted was as if an animal with a higher sense of hearing was alerted. After realizing this fact, the only face that the snake-woman would get would be a knowing smile. Regina thought about teasing her more, but did not want to push her luck. After all, she was confident in her abilities and the fact that they were far enough away from the patrols that there was no threat. However, the smile quickly dissipated as Regina became more serious and listened to the rest of what Leblanc said. "I'll take care of the sniper and their team." would be all that Regina would say before she went to do just that. She noted the RV point that Leblanc would have given her and moved toward the sniper's building, hidden from view though one could note if they observed her that she was skilled in the ways of stealth.

And take care of the sniper team she did. Though she had to wait for a few opportunities to take them down silently one at a time, she managed to eliminate the entire team. Four dead bodies lay in the building as Regina proceeded to the bigger building in the middle of the town: the place for the agreed RV point. It was then that she heard that awful scream. A scream that vibrated through her entire body and panicked the patrols that were left. Regina could barely cover her ears, with them now ringing due to the sound, but she knew where the scream came from. Ensuring that her rifle was ready, Regina already felt her feet running toward the building using her shoulder as a way to dampen the sound.

Arriving at the building, she soon realized that the situation was much more dire: a monster spawn was about and there were captive cadets. It was obvious from their uniforms, though Regina was very sure that when the cadets saw her she looked nothing like them with her camouflage Irregular militia uniform and camouflage cloak. One of the cadets was down, and the monster was just about to pounce on him. Regina once again made a snap decision just before Clean attacked to aim for the monster's knees and squeeze the trigger. The magic round hit it's target, but what was most important was that the thing was not aware of Regina. An explosion at the monster's bend of the right knee was proof of the deed. Whatever it was, it now knew she was there.

Of course, Regina was scared but she never let that fear get the best of her. The Roks were a reminder to not allow her fear to control her. Something her father taught her a long time ago. That monster was nothing compared to what the Irregulars faced on a daily basis, she just had to remember that! Still, fighting this thing directly would certainly mean death, especially in any confined areas. Calmly, she shouted to the now-freed cadets "Friendly, Imperial! Get your comrades and regroup with our snake-themed cadet! She will give your new orders!" Regina now prepared to fire again, hoping to cover them. She wondered what Szeren, Natus, and Leblanc were up to....
