Bio: Actus had a rather typical upbringing for an Atlas kid. He grew up in a small cold village mainly with his Mother and older sister.

Actus didn't see much of his father growing up, his father being a Specialist for the Atlesian military. Despite this however, both Actus and his older sister Jessica wanted to become Specialists like their father (much to their mothers chagrin).

When he was home Mr Celondim taught his kids how to fight, how to work with technology, how to go unnoticed. But more importantly he taught them when to use their gifts, what for. Above all else he imbued his children with an honourable and disciplined approach to life, as well as a patriotic disposition towards Atlas.

When their father was away the two would often spar with one another, or create gadgets and very, very simple robots. They were contented, eventually Jessica left home and went to study at Atlas Academy's Junior section. Around the same time Actus was joining the Junior Section himself, Jessica completed her training at the Atlas Academy Senior Section and became an Atlas specialist like her father.

Actus however, decided he'd take after his mother and study at the famous Beacon Academy, before later transferring to the Specialists. If what he read was to be believed the Huntsmen from Beacon were every bit as good as the Specialists, and what better adventure could he hope to find than travelling to an entirely new kingdom?

Personality: Actus is very withdrawn by nature, his semblance and hobbies predisposing him to work alone and spending time by himself. That's not to say he can't work with other people, but you'd be much more likely to find him secreted away somewhere working on a new gadget instead of hanging out with everyone at lunch. Despite this however if you do take the time to get to know him then you'll find you've a very loyal friend indeed. Say the word and Actus will be more than willing to put his neck on the line for his friends.

Evasive, introverted, eloquent and most certainly eccentric Actus is hard to get to know, but a pleasure to have around once you do.

Semblance Name: Flicker
Description of Semblance: Whilst not able to turn fully invisible using his semblance Actus becomes almost undetectable, impossible to see or hear when combined with his natural talents for going unseen.

Semblance Limitations: He can maintain this ability for long periods of time, however as soon as he attacks the effect is lost. Further the semblance is of little use in open terrain, as whilst it makes Actus harder to find it doesn't grant true invisibility.

Weapon: Corvus and Corax, these are two matched gauntlets with blades that extend from over the knuckle 2ft. There are four blades on each gauntlet each infused with a dust core for differing effect, Actus can fight with these brutal claws in melee or he can fire the various blades as lethal projectiles over medium distances. Replacing the claws is as simple as taking one from the sheaths attached to his legs and snapping the new blade in place. Each gauntlet also incorporates a single grappler mounted at the wrist that Actus can use to help him traverse vertical terrain.

He also carries a cane fastened at his waist when fighting which he's named the Gentleman. The cane contains a number of spare blades for Corvus and Corax and in dire situations can be used as a simple blocking weapon.

Favored Dust Element: Whilst he's able to use a variety of dust munitions in his claws Actus prefers to use ice type dust, a type he developed a strong affinity with in his early years.

Other:

Equipment: A number of spare claw blades with various dust cores for differing effects in combat. When it comes to armour Actus strikes a balance, he isn't decked down in armour but under his long flowing robe he wears a dull grey cuirass, pauldrons of the same colour as well as vambraces and greaves. He also has a face covering chrome mask that he wears under his hood. The helmet is a single smooth surface and from the outside looks rather innocuous. But is capable of taking quite a serious hit, it also features a HUD link for Actus' scroll that he can use whilst in combat.

Skills:

Master of Daggers: If its short and its got a blade then Actus is all over it. A master when it comes to short close combat weapons he is a fast yet powerful melee combatant. He's also lethal when it comes to the use of short ranged projectiles.

Agile Brute: Whilst not as fast as some, or as hardy as others Actus is a good balance of the two. He can move quickly and deftly able to trade blows with nimble opponents well enough, but at the same time he can take a hit and give one back twice as hard.

Tech-Nut: Actus loves to take things apart to see how they work, be that programs or machines. Seriously don't leave this guy alone with your tech if you want it to stay in one piece…

Name: Conall Linumbienne

Bio: Born to a small hamlet in the verdant Emerald Isles just off of the northern tip of Vale, Conall was a classically rowdy young lad— always outside, playing, fighting, play-fighting, seemingly doing whatever he could to come home with scrapes and bruises at the end of the day. The son of a mechanic and a seamstress, Conall is the eldest of three, with one little brother, and one even littler sister. As such, he’s very used to being the top dog at home— and as the top dog, he is also determined to be as good an example to those two little brats as he can, and put his talents for fighting and throwing things around to good use. And as a hunter, there is no better use to put those talents, cultivated into skills by long years of training, than the protection of all mankind from the threat of the Grimm. A stalwart and confident young man, Conall is definitely rough around the edges, with blood as heated as his lance leading to frenzies in battle— but is also agreeable, playful, compassionate, and even surprisingly gentle in disposition outside of it. He holds the air of being carefree high enough for all the world to see— but if there’s one thing he will never back down upon, no matter how whimsical he feels, it’s a promise.

Semblance Name: Fragarach Lamfada

Description of Semblance: Conall’s unshakable confidence, honesty, and honor have taken form in Fragarach Lamfada. In essence, it allows whatever he throws, be it a spear, a rock, or a even another person, to strike true to his aim. The winds themselves will even shift to favor his throws--guiding the missile to whatever point in space he aims. Wherever he intends to throw, the projectile will travel, and whatever he intends to hit, he has a damn good chance of hitting.

Semblance Limitations: The main limitation of Fragarach Lamfada is Conall’s own eyesight— he must be able to visualize the point he is aiming at, and to a degree, even the path it travels along. If he intends to throw something with the intent to ricochet his projectile off of a surface, each bounce will greatly diminish his semblance’s efficacy, with only one or two rebounds in sequence being any more reliable than a throw made by a normal man. Finally, and most importantly, his Semblance is simply ensuring that his aim is true— It can be faked out or dodged by those with the speed, agility, and reflexes to dupe him. No easy feat with his genuine skill backing the semblance, but it’s doable.

Weapon: Luin Celtchair- Cróeb Ruad is a crimson, almost blood-colored lance of roughly seven and a half feet long. Slim and lightweight, Luin is much like it's wielder in that it is of remarkably strong and resilient make, even in spite of its evidently hollow construction. Tipped with a sharp and equally sturdy double-edged blade, Conall makes use of his lance to its fullest-- be it through a whirling dervish of slices with the blade, pinpoint stabs and throws to pierce the hearts of all who stand in his path, or even stern, ringing strikes with the seven-odd feet of shaft that he so masterfully carries.

However, this is not to say Luin Celtchair is simply a well-made polearm.

The secret behind the almost bell-like sounds of the lance’s strikes lies within its crimson, knotted length. Within the hollow chamber lies a reservoir of Fire dust that, when charged with a spike of Conall’s (and only Conall’s) Aura, causes the blade to erupt into a blaze that quickly consumes the lance as a whole-- Cróeb Derg. Due to the synergy between the Aura of the wielder and the Aura fueling the flames, Conall is unharmed by the blistering new coat of paint upon Luin--

However, the same cannot be said of his foes.

Name: Marsail Cirsium (Alter)

Bio: The eldest of five sisters born to a family of Vale-based hunters, Marsail Cirsium was exposed to her parents' way of life from an early age, quickly taking to their teachings and learning to fight long before she even began attending a combat school. As the firstborn and heiress-apparent to the Cirsium Family Sword School, she was determined to follow in the footsteps of her ancestors and become a huntress, throwing her very all into her training in order to do so. With her serious outlook on becoming a figure she viewed as a "defender of humanity" and intense work ethic, she was easily able to make it into Signal Academy, where she studied for several years before entering Beacon. While definitely a promising young huntress with significant capabilities, Marsail will still need to work on her overly serious nature, straightforward approach and tendency to get easily annoyed if she wants to become a hero that will carry on the good done in her family's name.

Semblance Name: Nodens Loucetius

Description of Semblance: Nodens Loucetius is the manifestation of Marsail Cirsium's desire to confront evil and injustice and utterly excise it from existence for the sake of humanity and all that is good. It can essentially be described as a semblance of "purification", being able to identify issues and then removing them by either healing or reversing them to a healthier state. She emits a warm light from her hands to obtain knowledge of the problem, and when the light is shone on their target, they will be saved. For example, if she were to come across someone who is poisoned, that poison can be removed by applying her semblance, as it would identify the poison and "purify" the person by removing it from their system. If she were to see someone injured, she could do something similar, except this time she would be healing the injuries rather than healing one of poison. If faced with an illusion, and she knew it was present, she could even destroy that illusion by identifying it and finding its origin.

Semblance Limitations: Her powers work only on a single target at a time, and when in use, she needs to first identify the issue (which can be done from the first part of her power) before being able to properly heal it. The greater the severity of the issue, the more energy it would take out of her, and the more time to would take to fix.

Weapon: Scotia Beag - Claidheamh Soluis initially appears to be a relatively simple claymore, a large and powerful sword that crushes all enemies before it with its great mass. The forward-sloping quillons of her weapon are a simple, furnished silver, seemingly little differentiable from the shining steel blade, but closer inspection reveals that the cross-guard can fold back if the secondary function of the sword is activated. When Dust of any kind is applied to her weapon, Marsail can emit the elements from its surface, either as a ranged attack when the blade begins to retreat backwards, or simply in melee when each strike in infused with the power of nature itself. However, its most powerful ability would be that which gave the sword its name; when charged, the emitters on the weapon begin to glow with a radiant light, spiralling out all around the blade in a helix to an extent that is blinding. This energy shines like a brilliant white torch and every strike with the sword will land with even greater impact and blind all foes. Most importantly, the blades can retract further, and with a swing the central emitter hidden within will concentrate the condensed power and fire off a powerful ranged blast that will instantly destroy any Grimm that was unfortunate to stand in its path. The more time Marsail takes to charge, the more powerful it can become.

Favored Dust Element: While familiar with the use of all types of Dust, Marsail Cirsium most commonly inserts Fire and Air crystals into her weapon.

Other: She has a rivalry with her next youngest sister, who is currently in the grade below. Despite wearing glasses, she actually doesn't need them that much. Big fan of fish and chips.

Name: Siusan Achillea
Age: 16

Bio: A child of the desert, Siusan was fortunate enough to be born in Vacuo to a Faunus couple hailing from Vale. She faced little discrimination for her race excluding the occasional schoolyard brawls that shaped the somewhat uncouth parts of her present personality. A survivor through and through, not afraid to beat down or get beaten down in the dog-eat-dog society of her Kingdom. Following a brief stint/expulsion from Vacuo’s primary combat school, Siusan transferred to Mistral’s famous Sanctum Academy, barely able to restrain herself from too many fights in order to graduate. From there, Beacon Academy became her next goal.

Semblance Name: Aillén Dé Danaan
Description of Semblance: An almost complete transferral of Aura to one of two functions: Attack or Defence. In Attack Mode Siusan’s strength reaches nearly unstoppable levels, giving her the ability to crush even a Goliath with her bare hands. Her senses are also heightened during this fervor. In Defence Mode her skin becomes impenetrable, her mobility slightly increased.
Semblance Limitations: Both enhancements come at a great cost to Siusan’s body. Attack Mode drains her Aura almost completely. Even a single, solid punch to the Faunus would be enough to hospitalise her in this ‘enhanced’ state. Defense Mode inflicts the opposite, draining her of strength in her arms and dulling her senses. Both functions leave her incredibly fatigued at the end of their ten minute duration.

Weapon: Liath and Bodhmall – Two cudgels that combine into a hefty crossbow. At the ends of these weapons are leaden knobs that allow her to unleash devastating crushings unto her enemies. Siusan favours its dual wielded cudgel form, its weighty blows bringing her great satisfaction. They also make effective walking sticks in her often fatigued state. Due to her confrontational nature, the crossbow form is rarely used.
