@King Tai I think most people's patience for response from an RP partner can just about stretch to forgive the excuse "Sorry for the slow replies, got hit by a hurricane" :P Hope you and yours keep safe!

@Raptra I'm fine with keeping characters - I'm guessing we would write the plots around them but if you want to change yours thats fine. I agree with @LadyinInk, I think we have waited long enough. We can at least get started thinking about plots and such if anyone wants to get started with that before RPing.

@KatherinWinter feel free to hit us with your ideas, maybe we should all start a group message to discuss stuff? I've never controlled an RP like this (only 1 on 1s) so I'm up for giving ideas and stuff.

Well since we don't have a leader we would need to create or nominate a leader. I think the best idea is start with everyone gathering for their first group raid. They might have seen each other before even worked in pairs but never as a large group. They would meet up at headquarter. Maybe a warehouse or abandon building that most people would overlook. Maybe they want to hit a big target. Like a museum or something.

@KatherinWinter So it'd be best to more or less have all roles assigned OOC and then start the IC with everyone gathered and ready to be deployed?

I liked Cowboy Bebop but I think its quite a different RP to the one people have written characters for so far. Not writing it off but just might have to see what other people wanted it to be.

@KatherinWinter@Raptra I think agreeing on rough guides for roles might be a good idea, stops us stepping on each other's toes a bit more. I was thinking their base of operations could be a back room in Annie's Tavern but I didn't want her to be the leader, just that she provides information. Shes more of a spy and someone who can transport/sell stolen goods than someone who actually gets deeply involved in the initial theft.

Does make me wonder whether, with so few people, either I should double up or get a new character since I wouldn't be too involved whilst you're out on a job. What do you guys think?

I thought about Annie's Tavern but I think it would be too public unless she has a hidden room. Too many people would notice a group like this at a tavern. Doubling up is fine. Otherwise you're not going to have much to do.

Looking at these suggestions, I see two main options for how we can start the IC:

1. The bulk of the plan is discussed OOC. During the meeting, the leader assigns roles to the characters with little to no objection, and the heist begins early in the IC.

2. We have a page or two IC of characters discussing, interacting, disagreeing and planning together etc. during the meeting, before we eventually get to the actual heist.

That's what I'm getting so far. Do let me know if I'm on the same page or like really far off, hehe...

@LadyinInk If I were to vote, I'd personally stick with a theme where we get to keep our current characters :s As stated before, it's not strictly medieval, but I wouldn't go futuristic in this case. It's a good idea for a separate RP though :)

@FreeElk Annie's is fine. But I still think people will notice everyone gathering there after hours. Which be the only time that Annie would be available to participate in a meeting. We can work out who is doing what here. But I don't know what kind of heist would require everyone.

I've had an idea for the heist too? What about some kind of shipment coming in from the port or a train coming in with some kind of valuable that they could use/sell on the black market? I know it's pretty unoriginal but it gets things started and we can think of more elaborate things as we get used to the characters? They could be making the plans at the meeting, maybe Annie's tavern could have a basement or a back entrance that they could use to hold their meetings then we could allocate roles through their discussions?

@FalkiThomas I don't know that everyone's skills could be used for something like that. But I agree it would be a good start.

Hmm, a few roles to fill that I can think of for the actual heist would be:

-Fighters/assassins to handle the security

-Lookouts for other possible dangers

-Runners to relay information

-The peeps who'll go right in and do the actual swiping of the loot

Hopefully this helps a little at least lol
