The issue here stems from myself and Windel advising KoL to end the conversation. You had been here long enough to see Victoire is a touchy subject and one that has succeeded in driving KoL from being an active participant in the battle, so when everyone insists on persisting in questioning the barest minutia of her skillset in the hopes of stealing out a victory in her final battle, I find it perfectly reasonable KoL reacts with flared temper as she's already surrendered the war and now you want her to give up on even a Pyrrhic victory to go out on.

While I do find you, and Silvan in conjunction, can open interesting lines of inquiry, there seems to be a predilection to prodding a sleeping bear that is exacerbating to watch from an outsider perspective. If you are adamant in leaving then I wish you well, otherwise I do hope you consider things when you are less heated.

So that was the question, huh? The answer is simple. They are plants, magical undead plants, in fact. Plants grow as long as there's space for them to grow. The roses never ever used magic power to grow.

They used to require blood and, in fact, still do.

The blood to power them comes from the armies that everyone ignores. As said in the very first battle of the RP, Victoire usually sacrifices lesser demons to kick start her roses and, after that, anyone who who dies powers than up.

People keep forgetting about the mooks, I just don't see why this was ever an issue. In places where there's native life, like Arcadia, , anything in their path bites the bullet too.

Huh, you're right. I don't think anyone has mentioned them since the entire battle started. It's been making the place feel a little empty to be honest.

We need more General characters.

I do always seem to find a way to be around interesting moments like this. But carry on, I suppose. I've no stake in this fight anymore.

Man, I don't think I've ever been in quite so... volatile an rp. Everyone's arguing with one another about all kinds of things.

Khaine could probably counter Victoire's roses, considering he's a fairly solid teleporter with the stone, and has access to several AOE heat abilities that could stop their growth. As well as being able to remove their power source in the form of munchable mooks. That's just based on my knowledge of his powers, but I'm sure plenty of other characters could do the same.

From what I've noticed, KoL is a power-gamer. Someone who's interested in the supernatural abilities of characters, and using those abilities to their fullest potential. As such their characters are not only quite powerful, but also able to use each of their individual powers to far greater effect than most others. With a little optimisation a character like Henry or even Fran could be set up as a solid challenge for Victoire, if you were to set them up with the right gear and get them to use their powers properly.

Although I do think KoL should perhaps be a bit less harsh on people not being able to keep up.

Heh, you hit the nail on the head with that assessment, though do remember this is for all it's quirks and kinks, a PvP RP. Conflict breeds conflict, even in the best of cohorts.

Frankly, all of this could have been avoided had both sides calmed down and discussed this like adults without getting riled up. Evidently, that did not happen and we have one player short now. If you want my perspective on this, you are both at fault in this screaming match that ultimately led to nowhere. In any case BC, I repeat Lone's words; it's best to calm down before up and leaving an RP in this manner. But if your are unyielding in this opinion, then farewell.

The portal should be closed by now, Victoire isn't sustaining it so it was basically a one time thing. She can't spare much time to do other chores while she's fighting Henry.

Yeah, I was a little confused that Meph didn't do anything when Flos broke out of his chains and left. Was a bit perplexing.
