@shylarah I imagine their 'spells' works with similar principles. They could probably use each others ammunition in a pinch. Galahad prefers to use them at medium-short range though, launching multiple slugs sort of like a shotgun

@vietmyke She could use other things, most likely. She uses force to accelerate the object, so in theory it could be anything, but she finds darts most effective, since they're easiest for her to aim at that size.

I suppose I should also mention that I'm making an Omestrian character while we're ahead. Though his story might be a little different

@shylarah Well I was considering having my guy be half Omestri, half Varyan but... well, I didn't want to step on any toes.

@CollectorOfMyst I've got no problems with it. I just find it funny. Also I've been up all night so I'm even more easily amused than usual. ^.^;;

That's pretty cool Shy. I can see Rodion standing behind her all emotionless like he usually is.

@Drakey I might just try to draw him too~ Maybe. We'll see. My regular pencil is being a butt and gouging my paper, and I'm not sure why. *sighs* Might be time for a new one, but I don't know if I /have/ another HB. I'll have to look.

Anyhow, been up all night. Time to sleep for shy! *passes out*

@vietmyke Father Galahad

I would imagine that Galahad would have initially thought that he was the least emotional person ever. At least, he would have thought that before meeting Rodion. Rodion's sheer lack of emotion, not even hiding it but rather it just isn't there, would most likely put the Lanostraen off. Rodion on the other hand would probably like being around him as Galahad's apparent lack of emotion would be refreshing for Rodion. In fact, Rodion would probably be pretty good at tactics as well and they could possibly have gone toe-to-toe in games and shit. Of course, on a purely martial scale Galahad would wipe the floor with Rodion.

Write it off as trying to earn a place in society, wanting to make a name for their bloodline, or Varya trying to assimilate them until they forget they were ever another continent

@Drakey Galahad isnt unemotional, he experiences and shows plenty of emotions, primarily irritation and exasperation. But yes, he's not incredibly outspoken, unless he's criticizing someone.

I suspect we may repeatedly run into issues with "too many cooks in the kitchen." Let the arguing ensue!

Also, I've been meaning to ask... What is the normal temperature? Between the world being frozen and protection via the aegis and ether, what is "room temperature" and what does it actually feel like? I highly doubt we're actually walking around in 70 Fahrenheit, since that would be a massive use of power over time.

EDIT: I posted the CS in the CS section! You can now see the terrible work I did with a mouse in MS Paint.

@Scout Yay! Sorry for taking so long to read through this, but I love her! I might have some ideas for her etheric powers that I'll PM you. Besides that, there's only one small change you need to make.

Omestrian's eyes are a burning gold/amber-like color. That's usually how they're identified by Varyan slavehunters. Which, I just realized, presents the possibility of desperate Omestrian parents damaging the eyes of their children to save them from becoming slaves. :(

EDIT: Also, since you're coming on late and seem to be a bit pressed for time at the moment, would you be willing to make Viveca not part of the class, so as to not have a deep established history with most of the others? This is up to you!

@CollectorOfMyst Hey, how's the CS coming along? I think you're the last person we're waiting on. Once I get your CS I'll start working on Ragnar's relationships with everyone.

@Draken I'd say the median temperature within the aegis is still intensely cold. I picture the slums of Varya being a place where people die out in the streets from the cold every day. Poorer homes would have miniature ether lamps to protect from the more intense cold but it'd still be chilly inside, while wealthier people would have powerful ether machines in their mansions and palaces that'd allow them to walk around naked if they wanted to.

Outside the aegis, the weather would be magnitudes colder than the coldest temperature recorded in our world, which is why the aegis is absolutely necessary. Without an aegis, and while wearing proper equipment, soldiers can survive in the icefields for about an hour before succumbing to the cold, while Muraadans, who have lived in the northern icelands for centuries, can survive outside of an aegis for double that amount of time.

I should also mention that due to the battle between the two titans eons ago, this world is all fucked and weird. There is no rain anywhere on the continent, only blizzards and hailstorms. And while there is a day/night cycle, there are no stars or celestial objects to be glimpsed. The sky goes from stark white to a muddy grey to pitch black. Clouds do exist and thundersnow (google it, it's rad!) is a common occurrence out in the icefields.

@shylarahAw, she's precious! Does she typically wear white while not wearing her Inquisitor uniform? Makes her look like an actual benevolent priestess and not a warpriest serving a horrible god. :p
