Wow, she literally just halted Manny solving her problems because she wasn't finished speaking. I have no words, and neither will my character.

She seems like the... principled... type. She is really setting Sickle up to put her in a position with a serious crisis of faith later on. What will she do when what is right or wrong gets blurred? I am setting up my character for something similar... Should be a good time.

I want to apologize for my post, it was supposed to be short, laying a checknov's gun, and then I wanted to lay the groundwork for another project that would be important to the the plot later on, but I decided to put that off since I blinked and suddenly the post was WAY too long. I don't recommend reading it to be honest, it isn't relevant to the plot really, unless you are really bored or actually care about molecular biology. I could have accomplished the same thing by saying "I made a really good poison." I am sorry, I will post about him beginning the other project at some other point after it feels like sufficient time has passed, although I think my character is still playing catch up to the story timeline, as he hasn't done that much since waking up that morning.

In the off chance that you do care, the hypothetical biochemsitry of silicone based amino acids is a real thing, and it bonds in this field are actually called silitide bonds rather than peptide bonds. Apparently I am not the only biochemist with a sense of humor.

Edit: Also, I promise I will not use nearly so much description when it comes to fights, etc. I have just had the time to write descriptively in the course of introducing Ifrit, but just like in real books, once that is all on print there won't be as much stuff to write.

Your tinker just developed an incredibly lethal toxin, that can survive as long as it remains within blood, for an entirely innocent reason. There is a violent, unpredictable hameokinetic running around. Have you just actually created a blood-based, biological super-weapon? =P

@Sickle-cell Well yes, sort of. Unintentionally, he may have created a weapon which, if somebody had incredibly precise control of blood, could be used to great affect, but it isn't self replicating, it is finite, and although someone who controlled blood could probably make it survive longer out of a human body then it's creator ever intended, it would still degenerate after not very long since like I said, it requires a narrow temperature range (the internal temperature of humans) to remain stable.

So ya, Sickle-cell could use it, by accident or intentionally, but even then as the blood cooled from being whisked through the air, touching surfaces colder then internal body temperature of humans, etc. it would start falling apart (on a molecular level just to be clear) faster as it gets cooler. Unfotunately, like I said, Ifrit designed it to be delivered in an excessive dose, so there would probably be, to begin with, enough to kill, if it could be introduced intravenously (so into their blood, while it is in their body) 50 people. This is actually a really tiny amount of liquid, even given that the majority of the solution would be a buffer fluid to keep the actual toxin stable without being in any of the aforementioned requisite states (temperature, pH, human body).

Also, I should have put a greater emphasis on this in the explanation, but the explanation was already sooooo long, the unique "Omega-protein" that Ifrit uses actually destabilizes and denatures normal carbon based proteins (once again, conveniently this is a real thing) meaning it would also, actually start making the blood, not blood. Blood, after all, is just a solution with a bunch of hemoglobin, a protein.

This chemical would in other words come at a cost for sickle to use, as yes it would be super-deadly, but it would also be constantly destroying the blood it is in. It wouldn't be rapid, it would be pretty slow actually, I am just saying that it wouldn't come without costs.

My point being, it is certainly powerful enough to make the plot more interesting, but it isn't enough to skew the direction of a war, just a battle.

Edit: Also, there is more foreshadowing going on here but I don't want to totally spoil it, but to be fair I may call on the jury to recall this explanation in the future. Don't worry it isn't anything OP, just useful to the plot later on.

Also, I just remembered to clarify again, it must be intravenous to be effective. If it goes in through their mouth, the botulinum toxin mechanism will not be effective, although the "Omega-protein" actually still will, and it would be the equivalent of drinking low molarity acid. Humans actually eat the botulinum toxin in lethal dosages all the time, it is common certain foods like honey, but our digestive systems are effective at filtering it out.

I currently feel I should wait for @DracoLunaris and @POOHEAD189 unless they say otherwise. The latter because he's bloody there, the former I'll say because Kiddo did say she'll be gone for a while so I assume we can assume that Dragon took Mary and flew, perhaps. Unless Draco wants to wait for Kiddo to come back, of course, but... hah. Depends on a bunch of things, but I want to wait for the confirmation. I held a damn speech, there should be time for Vice to act if he wants to.

Been busy with three other RPs today but I'll check this stuff after I sleep. And nah, he killed guys hand to hand with breaking necks, and was at a distance when he shot them.

I was assuming, perhaps incorrectly, kiddo was going to be making a mini post pulling her capes out. Which is why I haven't posted.

@Sickle-cell You gotta get your co-gms to do part of the work with you characters or something. You have been doimg amazing, I love how the story is shaping up, but you have a character almost for every PC there is, and almost all of them are concistently interacting directly with you. This is awesome, because it lets you really guide the story, but you are also putting a lot of work and pressure on yourself.

That'd make a pretty sweet basis for introducing a stranger that alters people's perceptions with illusions and mindbending. ;D

@SkinnyTyI absolutely adore writing in all forms, so it's really not that bad. As for making them, I have around 50 waiting in the wings, even now, all with their own motivations and machinations :-P

Right, I will get a post up today at some point. Although I am limited as to what I can do. Sickle can't respond till Knight tells him what the chances are of him dying in the next few seconds are, Vegas can't respond until Sickle does and I know whether @knifeman wants to tag along when we leave. So my next post probably won't advance the battle all that much.

Although, if most people are waiting for Kiddo, we could continue as if they've left but leave the details vague :-P
