Kaldyr lost himself in thought for a moment, as the gravity of today's events set in. He'd made it through Beacon Academy's initiation, and now he had a team. Yet another step closer... Soon I'll be one of them, but first, I need to prove that I am ready. I can only hope that I've made an impression on the instructors after today. At the very least they see me as adequate, otherwise I'd be in the stomach of a King Taijitu right now... No matter, I'll find out soon enoug-

Kaldyr was pulled from his focus as the other members of team HGCK began to speak.

"Hey, at least you got me the hot one if you catch my drift"

"You all are pretty cute to me so push my choice,"

They're flirting... ALREADY. Great... he thought to himself as he rested his head on one of his hands and let out a quiet sigh. Kaldyr could only wonder how these two could be so close already, though he did not consider it much further. The girl's comment on him being 'cute' was certainly... strange yet interesting at the same time. He could not think of why she would see him as such, but the reason was irrelevant.

“Where are you guys from? Last night I heard about people from all over Remnant! So I'm curious!”

The question posed by the other Faunus on the team brought a growing feeling Kaldyr had been wrestling with to the surface. Homesickness and worry both plagued the wolf Faunus, he missed his family back in Menagerie. Kaldyr couldn't help but worry for his father and mother, would there even be enough space for them back home? Menagerie had always been cramped at best, but they'd make do, they had to. Then there was the issue of his younger brother, Skolas. During the attack Kaldyr's will to became a huntsman was solidified, but his brother's was utterly obliterated. He almost seemed hollow after that point, and Kaldyr desperately hoped that he wouldn't stay that way. Wishful thinking wouldn't solve any of that though, all Kaldyr could do was bury his worries and hope.

It turned out the girl on their team was from Mistral, interestingly enough. Kaldyr didn't recall seeing her during his time at Sanctum, but then again, socializing was something he avoided most times. It would be no surprise to him if he had merely forgotten her or never even met her before.

Shaking himself from his semi-stupor, Kaldyr regained his composure, faced the other Faunus boy and spoke.

"Well I'm from Menagerie, but I did live in Mistral for a short while. Just long enough to get through Sanctum at least." He paused for a moment, before resuming with a sort of nervous haste. "Oh! I haven't even introduced myself yet. My name is Kaldyr, Kaldyr Tolbac."

Following his somewhat-botched introduction, the sound of soft music caught his attention. His ears twitched in the direction of the sound, and he looked to discover that the source was the girl from Mistral. She seemed to be playing a panflute of some kind and the melody was lovely. Is she floating or have I finally lost my mind? He thought to himself as he looked on, though a few more seconds of investigation revealed that she was indeed hovering. She was just kind of suspended in the air, as if held by an unseen force. The display was only amplified by the music carrying a serene and almost comforting sound. Strange... I wonder how...

It then suddenly occurred to Kaldyr that he'd been staring at the girl. Rapidly, he broke his gaze and begun searching through and unpacking one of his larger bags.

"It's a bit of a shame, I didn't really get a chance to see any of you in action back in the forest... Speaking of which... How do you guys think you did on the initiation? Personally I can't get it out of my head."

Bizz looked around at her teammates. Sid she have anything more to do herself? Maybe she didn’t. Her thoughts about everything- her being the leader, most importantly-were all too mixed up. The only thing she’d do rather than sleeping was getting some fresh air, though she doubted that they’d leave her alone if she were to wander off.
“I’d like to go to bed, if you ask me.”
She said, stretching her arms.
“We went through some things today, after all.”

Sarah flipped off her scroll and flopped onto an empty bed. She then looked over at Bizz "You're probably right I mean it was pretty rough out there stone pillars are kinda hard." Sarah said as she rubbed her back. She placed her scroll on the floor next to her bed. She then looked at the roof, "What do you think they'll have us do tomorrow?" Sarah said before slipping under her sheets, the bed was smaller then she was used to but she'd have to adapt. She was still really excited and had no idea how she was actually going to manage to get to sleep, but she'd give it her best shot.

Bizz fell into her bed again.
“Well, we had a horde of grimm on day one... I’m sure they’ll come up with something creative tomorrow.”
She said, flopping around on her bed. She knew that sleeping in her outfit wasn’t a good idea, but she was too tired to change into any kind of clothes she brought.
“I just hope it isn’t a room full of explosives.”

"I doubt we'll be going through trials like that every day. Remember, this is still a school, so we'll probably just have regular classes." Lucas said, yawning. He went into the bathroom and changed into his sleepwear and picked a bed to crash on.

Zan followed suit leaving and coming back in long green what looked like a gown but was a really large shirt. "i hope we get to go outside again personally" she said crawling into her bed looking up at the ceiling "also we get to meet the rest of the school tomorrow...teachers, students and anyone else, who knows what kind of people get accepted to Beacon"

zandrea smiled closing her eyes "Team Basil....how will things look after we are full hunters and huntresses?, who....*YAWN* kno...ws.." Zan falls asleep at the end of that thought with a soft whimper.

"Y-yeah." Lucas said, looking at her in the large shirt. She really was quite cute, even in such attire. He found his cheeks turning read as his mind wandered and he turned over in his bed, hoping the others hadn't noticed.

Sarah noticed. She smirked as Lucas rolled over and giggled quietly to herself. She then put her arms behind her head and looked up at the ceiling. "Yeah I do wonder what the teachers will be like, hope none of them are up tight... That would make things a little hard." She frowned at the thought but it quickly left her head as she let out a yawn, given her lung capacity it was rather loud. She wasn't used to sleeping in the same room as other people because she normally just slept where ever, this meant she wasn't really used to being quiet either. She smiled at Zan's comment about where they would be when they were fully trained "Yeah you never know." with one last yawn she snuggled into bed properly. "Well goodnight everyone." Sarah said in a slightly slurred tone due to being tired she then rolled over and eventually went to sleep.

"Good night." Lucas said softly.

Charon starts lightly blushing from her response. Charon hops off his bed and grabs his suitcase, before throwing it on his bed. His suitcase has a five number combination, this is mostly because of his slight trust issues. Charon puts in his code and opens his suitcase revealing his personal belongings such as hygienic projects, Dust, clothes, a small wooden box and his... bunny slippers. Charon looks over at the bunny Faunus then looks back at his slippers, This might be a problem, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to wear them. He drops the slippers on the floor and slips them on.

“Well this has to go…”

"Aw, I kinda liked that picture" Charon says as he closes his suitcase and puts it on the ground, he hops back onto his bed now wearing his fuzzy bunny slippers.

“Where are you guys from? Last night I heard about people from all over Remnant! So I'm curious!”

Charon overhears where his team member said that where they were from one was from Mistral and the other from Menagerie. "I was born in Vacuo and raised in Atlas. Oh wait, I haven't properly introduced myself yet, my name is Charon Fotiá"

Charon puts his head up against his pillow and closes his eyes, almost falling asleep, yet he is kept conscious by the sound of music. He opens his eyes only to see the only girl on the team levitating and playing what looks to be a panflute. "Shes both beautiful and talented..." Charon Smirks for a bit before realizing that he spoke his thoughts out loud, his smirk turns into a face of sheer horror. Charon turns bright red, almost the same color as a cherry.

Charon quickly trying to find a way out of this predicament, he overhears what Kaldyr had asked.

"It's a bit of a shame, I didn't really get a chance to see any of you in action back in the forest... Speaking of which... How do you guys think you did on the initiation? Personally I can't get it out of my head."

"Yea everything went perfectly fine, ok, well I'm going to bed now, goodnight." Charon says in a rushed tone, quickly pulling his blanket over him, desperately trying to hide his embarrassment.

“That's pretty cool.” Hansa unloaded most of his clothes, already neatly folded, on the bed until he unearthed his pjs. “I'm from a small town on the edge of Mistral but I've been living here in Vale for a couple months now.” Hansa changed into a pair of shorts and a long sleeve shirt and sat down on the bed, enjoying Glas’ music. When Kaldyr asked how they did, Hansa fiddled with his high tech Atlesian leg prosthetics a bit, making sure there wasn't anything damaged from earlier. “Well I didn't do much out of my ordinary. I guess I did something right…” Hansa trailed off. He wasn't sure he was ready to be leader but he was sure going to try. He shook off his uncertainty and twisted both legs off, setting them down on the floor next to the bed with a bit of a thump and stretched his nub of legs barely sticking out of his long loose shorts. “You know, bed doesn't sound too bad. I mean we do have classes tomorrow! We can't be late!”

Glas was happy that her team didn't yell at her to stop playing, they seemed to like and appreciate it, besides it's not like she was playing loud, she just assumed that many would get annoyed. Charon's comment only supported their acceptance, mentioning she was beautiful and talented. It made her smile as her lips pressed up against each pipe to play a tune. Though they were all asked how they did in the forest, Charon answered quickly and hid under the covers. She thought it was cute seeing a young man embarrassed and thought it amusing to tease him. She changed a note sequence in order and speed raising Charon off his bed lightly, but before he could gain much height a thud from the bed next to her caused her to stop playing and they both fell back on to their mattresses, Glas with a bit more of a bounce since Charon didn't get much air. She quickly looked over to Hansa noticing he had removed part of his body, "WHERE ARE YOUR LEGS?!" she shouted in confusion. She had no idea that he was an amputee. The sudden shock had caused her to forget about Kaldyr question on their performance in the forest.

Zan woke in what seemed to be a hazed filled room "gu..guys? Sarah? lucas? bizz?" she called out but there was no reply "th..this isnt funny" her breathing got very heavy as she stepped from her bed only for her feet to be met with a warm wet feeling, she looked down "is that....blood?" she was panicking reaching for Leaf by her bedside but when she turned around her bed was gone, and when she turned back his was in the forest.

"where am I?" she started walking the heard screams and yelling of her name "MOM!?" she ran towards the sound only to find her village in ruin, it was burning and her friends and family were not moving, laying on the ground, tears filled Zandreas eyes when she seen a banner flying from the elders hut, she approached it slowly crying trying not to look at the chaos, then she could make it out...it was the white fang banner flying above the chaos, she turned around to run away when a sharp pain went though her chest and a faunus wearing a grim mask ran her though with a sword.

"NOOOOO!" zandrea bolted up in bed for real this time breathing heavy and quickly ran to the window to having a panic attack trying to get some air.

Sarah stirred as Zandrea woke and ran to the window, Sarah was a very light sleeper. That is partly why she just sleeps anywhere, if she gets comfortable enough to sleep then she'll do it. "Hmmm..." She mumbled as her eyes cracked open. She leaned up and looked over at the window seeing Zan there breathing heavily. She figured it was a little hard for Zan to sleep well because she was used to the forest. Sarah slipped out of bed and knelt down next to Zan. She spoke in an quiet motherly tone "Hey Zan, what's wrong?" Sarah looked down at Zan with a sleepy looking but also reassuring smile.

"I was born in Vacuo and raised in Atlas."

Kaldyr practically tore into one of his bags as his teammates spoke, listening closely as he scoured its clothing filled depths. Charon coming from Vacuo did not surprise him whatsoever, as the boy seemed to be a free spirited sort based on his immediate flirting attempts. The shocker however was that he'd also lived in Atlas. Sure, that explained his appearance, but as far as Kaldyr knew Vacuo and Atlas were essentially each others opposites in every sense of the word. Why would one go from extreme freedom to such extreme restrictions so willingly? Another oddity... Something I'll need to ask about for certain...The other Faunus was also from Mistral, interestingly enough. Kaldyr stole an inquisitive glance at the team leader to see if he seemed familiar at all, but after a few moments he resolved that the Rabbit Faunus was a new acquaintance rather than a familiar face. How strange that there was two people from Mistral on his team, yet he recognized neither of them. Then again, he may have simply never noticed them, or perhaps they truly were never there to begin with. Either way they were his teammates now, their place of origin mattered not nearly as much as who they were.

As if to punctuate his mental conclusions, Kaldyr managed to extract a black undershirt and some loose fitting shorts from the seemingly endless abyss of densely packed clothing. I'm never letting Hatia help me pack again.... As he was getting up to leave the room and get changed, he overheard Charon's great blunder.

"Shes both beautiful and talented..."

As well as Charon's attempt to quickly pass the unwanted attention... to him.

"Yea everything went perfectly fine, ok, well I'm going to bed now, goodnight."

...What just happened? Kaldyr stood there somewhat stunned by the sudden turn of events. Gazing first at the heap of covers that currently shielded Charon, before looking to the girl from Mistral, who was seemingly unfazed by this whole ordeal. He let out an exasperated sigh and set out towards the door once more, only to have his earlier question be answered by the Rabbit Faunus.

“Well I didn't do much out of my ordinary. I guess I did something right…”

More interesting than the boy's words however, was his legs, or rather his lack thereof. In their place was two high-tech looking prosthetics, Kaldyr looked on out of sheer shock as the other boy fiddled with his false legs. Not wanting to seem rude, he attempted to shake himself from the stun and respond. His usually stoic face was moved to an expression of unease and nervousness that at first permeated his response, but fell away as Kaldyr spoke and recomposed himself. "Well, it's clear that you did something right. First of all you are not in some Grimm's stomach right now. Not to mention the fact that you are also the team's leader." With that said Kaldyr turned away, left the room and got changed.

When he returned, he was welcomed by a familiar voice yelling.

"WHERE ARE YOUR LEGS?!"

Kaldyr simply did not respond as he made his way back to his bed. As he sat and set his other clothes down he felt a wave of fatigue wash over him, the days events finally taking their toll on the exhausted Wolf Faunus.

“You know, bed doesn't sound too bad. I mean we do have classes tomorrow! We can't be late!”

"I'll second that idea. We should try to make a good impression on the teachers tomorrow, and that would be quite difficult if we were tired out." He paused for a moment before remembering a rather important question he needed to ask. "Oh and just so I don't embarrass myself in the future... Your name is Hansa, right?" he asked while looking at the Faunus boy.

Zandreas eyes welled up, tears on her cheeks "I...I'm sor...sorry for waking you" she stammered trying to regain her composure "a nightmare, I guess my mind isn't used to being at the school yet" she forced a light smile though the tears not wanting to make Sarah concerned. "I think I might go for a walk on campus" she reached for her clothes her hands temblling as she picked up leaf from the side of her bed.

Sarah stood up and put an hand on Zan's shoulder. She sighed lightly "Don't worry I'm sure you'll adjust eventually." Sarah let go of Zan's shoulder then slipped on her slippers with a smile on her face. She then looked out the window for a moment, she wondered what this nightmare must've been to bring tears to Zan's eyes. She shook her head that wasn't important right now, making sure Zan started to feel better was the main idea now. She rolled her shoulder "I guess I'll come with you then, I'm already up. And you look like you need some company." Sarah made sure to talk in a hushed voice, she also wanted to give Zan a hug but thought that might cause her to start crying and Sarah didn't want to wake up the others.

Lucas woke up to Zan's scream, claws at the ready and hissing, since his weapon was in his locker. When he saw her and Sarah at the window he got up, as the sun was rising, and walked over to him. "Bad dream?" he asked, looking down at Zan.

Bizz sprang up to positio, landing in front of her bed, her stance low and ready when she heard a sharp scream. Her surprised eyes scanned the situation fast. 'First night at Beacon, with a bit of happening.' She thought. It was Zandrea-she seemed to have had a nightmare. The whole team was awake now, trying to calm down the faunus girl. Bizz slowly raised her stance and lowered her guards as she walked over to Zandrea.
"It's alright Zandrea."
She said quietly.
"It's alright. We're here."

Zan was calming down abit and started to feel bad "Im so sorry for waking you guys up" she wipes away her tears "when i have nightmares they are always so vivid" she looked outside at the dawn "I can still smell the burning homes,hear the screams, and even..." she places her hand on her chest "I even feel where the that white fang zealot stabbed me" she closed her eyes trying to have the feelings pass.

"once again, im sorry for waking you up....I am not used to being at this school yet" zan rests her head on Sarahs arm "I am gonna go outside to greet the sun, you guys should go back to sleep"
