Travis watched the Chimera launch itself into the air high above its intended victims, Travis lifted his bladed arm as the beast let out a hail of shards. He blocked most of them thanks to the sheer size and density of his kagune but that defence came at the cost of speed, a shard got past his block and cut open his regular shoulder making him hiss in pain dammit! Travis then saw the Chimera dive towards him. His eyes widened and he jumped to the side avoiding the plummeting monster.

He got to his feet only see the chimera lunging at him mouth agape ready to rip a chunk out of him. He tried turning so the shoulder of his blade arm would be what entered the jaws of his aggressor, he couldn't try and swing his arm because of the risk of hitting Kristian. He may have strength but he lacks the speed and the versatility of a shorter extendable Kagune. He couldn't see Kristian behind the Chimera but was glad its main focus seemed to be him, although this was also a life threatening situation and it was hard to be happy about any of it.

He hoped Travis was strong. He seemed pretty weak to him when they were talking. He had the awareness of a puppy staring into its own reflection and barking at it. He should give Travis more benefit of the doubt if they were going to kill this chimera though.

Then depending on whether or not their lives would be lived or not would make the difference to his opinion currently about Travis. When the Chimera launched up in the air to barrage them with shards Kristian extended the petals of his rose and simply turned the petals to protect him from the shards.

He could feel them bite into his kagune, but barely a scratch was seen on his petals. He would pay for hurting his rose like that even if it was barely a dent. As he recovered from the toothpicks spat at him, he saw the tail of that ridiculous existing being coming at him.

He could get out of the way, but that would just cut it close. There was still the risk of him not making it or getting injured in the process. He growled under his breath. He was going to rip those wings off this bastards back when they got him in control. Extending from his rose were hardened looking thorns he extended two of them out of the leaves of the rose and allowed the tail to hit the thorn.

Extending from the single sharp thorn were several more thorns from a single branch. Caging the tail the force and speed of the tail had him slide back, but it was just enough to slow down it’s momentum. Quickly letting go of the cage, while the tail was near the end of hitting its target Kristian managed to jump back part of the tail clipping him on his arm and ripping his sleeve.

Looking over to Travis he saw him adjusting for the Chimera’s attack. Stupid.

Mei sighed exasperated, the morning had been rather boring and trite, and the barista ghoul with a sense of lecturing everyone had not helped either. The chinese ghoul kept walking on, wandering around trying to discern the subtle, yet aromatic telltale of coffee to find a nearby shop, all while trying to stave off her darker thoughts by trying to find some meaningful distraction in her day. Her requests were answered.

She could smell coffee. And ghouls. And violence. "...just my luck, I guess.". She bitterly said within her teeth. She did not really want to fight, not in her dress. She abhorred violence, but as a medic, first and foremost, she was sworn to help those in need. And that was not something that she would ever want to skip, at least when ghouls were related. Clenching her teeth, she discarded her high heels and turned into a side alley, quickly running towards the source of violence as she put her mask on. Her hearing could reach the exchanges. Three people. Two of them sane. One of them a raving lunatic.

A public health kind of case really. If i was alone, I would call the CCG, but I would trap those two other in between the crossfire. She lamented mentally, as she focused on the battle at hand, as she quickly jumped to a vantage position using her agility and the diverse ladders of a building, downwind so that her scent would reach later. It was worse than she feared. A chimera, unusually powerful and crazy versus two ghouls. They were in trouble. She wasn't sure she could beat the thing either. But she had only to try.

Her eyes flickered black for the barest moment as she produced a single shard of her Ukaku kagune in her hand, as throwing dagger. In the other, her entire pepper spray cannister. It was an useful tool to keep men at bay and keep the appearance of normality but it could become a weapon if used correctly. One chance. She breathed deep, hoisted the canister, and threw it at the chimera's face, followed by a timely ukaku shard thrown that visibly bursted the canister in front of it, spreading all of the canister's irritant content on the ghoul's face.
"Run, youngsters!" She chided to the two young men as she got ready for the followup.

The defensive maneuver of Kristan worked fairly perfectly as the tail reached its limit. Travis's choice of defense was almost as good, the hardness of his Koukaku providing a good block to the teeth latching down. It wasn't perfect, however, and the Chimera still pulled away bits of his shoulder.

Then came the exploding pepper spray, which coated the face of the Chimera entirely. The beast reacted instantly, curling away and pushing backwards hard enough to slide five feet away from the two Ghouls on the ground. It frantically clawed at its face, ripping open skin and actually tearing out its own eyes.

Blind, it became more enraged, looking around in darting movements. A bestial growl escaped its lips as it spun in a circle, it's tail whipping around in a wide circle. Thankfully the two Ghouls were out of range. Then the wings unfurled, sending shards in every direction. Up, down, out.

It stopped as quickly as it started, and the Chimera bolted directly at Kristian, running far faster and straighter than one would expect a blind opponent to manage.

At first he would have barked at the sudden interruption, but was stunned for a mere second or so. Pepper spray? That actually worked? Note to self get pepper spray. Still it irritated him that someone interrupted their affair, it attacked them first, but whatever what was done was done. And he barely had any faith in Travis seeing at how slow he moved. A slug must have been embarrassed and ashamed by his speed.

When the Chimera was finally on track it decided to run in a straight line towards him. Really? Him? In a straight line. He was looking for more of a fight. And instead this pissbag could barely put up one. Kristian held his ground despite the cut into his arm. Left leg held firm back and right leg held firm in front to hold himself upon contact.

Extending out four of his thorns, well hidden in the tentacle petals that resided on his back. He portuded them forward to stab the Chimera into several pressure places. Two thorns in his shoulders, two thorns in his thighs. Keep coming you bastard you’ll just tear yourself apart you dumb fucking rotten existence.

There was a rather sinister smile on Kristian’s face one he probably hadn’t displayed earlier, and he licked his canines. Fucker!

Travis hissed as the Chimera tore out bits of his shoulder with his savage bite, teeth rending the flesh. even his durable Kokaku was unable to fully negate the damage its filthy maw could bring. As he was about to go and try to remove the beast a new combatant entered the fight spraying pepper spray into the beasts eyes, Travis caught a massive amount of pepper spray had just detonated near his face and he was hit by a lot of it. He was thankful to have his shoulder free from the Chimera's jaws and he retracted his Kagune so he could wipe his eyes, probably not the smartest move in hindsight but he did it anyway.

He looked around for the person who saved him squinting through the pepper spray but he was unsuccessful, he was told to run but he didn't want to leave Kristian. But he knew he was also a hindrance in this match up so he backed off slightly but didn't flee the scene. He felt so useless but he didn't want to go in whit his massive kagune while slightly blinded from pepperspray, plus his wounded shoulders didn't help. God I'm useless.

Kobayashi Taiki

Taiki simply pretended to listen to Sora, shaking his head knowingly as the younger Investigator accused him of purposefully trying to do no work at all. "Sora..." he said as he attempted to enjoy his bowl of ramen, "Soraaaaa" he said again a bit louder this time as he pressed a hand against the side of his head. "Please just, let me eat in pea--". He stopped talking as Sora pulled out a thick stack of unsolved case files from the area. He sighed, lowering his hand tot he table and tapping a few times before looking up at Sora, "That's really rich you know." he said, obviously a bit irritated, "If you're so insistent on working while we eat, then I expect you to have a brief ready for me by the time we leave." he said nonchalantly before smiling and continuing to eat as if Sora had not brought anything at all.

Yes! Mei mentally pumped up her fist, upon being the success of the attack. The target staggered, obviously affected and in pain, and thus that made the two young men to earn a reprieve from the madman's attacks. What followed, however, was not something she had expected at all, as she watched the gory spectacle of the Chimera clawing its own face in an impressive feat of self mutilation, going so far as to tear his own eyes out. She stood still, stiff in her position, as the shards flew past her, causing her cuts in her dress and minor wounds, one of them on her cheek.

The situation had turned sour, fast. She gritted her teeth as she watched the spectacle, not without a considerable pang of guilt. I overdid it. I really overdid it. Good job, Mei, reaaallly smooth. She chastised herself as she watched the young koukaku receive also a dose of friendly fire pepper spray. Her eyes drifted to the Rinraku, who was now the target of the blinded chimera's thrashing. He was deploying a brutal counter.

The Ukaku doctor pondered her options. She couldn't really let it happen this way. That chimera ghoul was aggressive and unhinged, but he was mentally ill, and no doubt in pain and confusion rather than outright malice. But what could she do? She pondered her options as she clenched her fist. Sedation? not possible. Sleeper hold? Very difficult. Death of the patient? Likely. Death of the bystanders also likely. Best course of action: Incapacitation by fracture in cervical vertebrae. Recoverable for a ghoul, but risk of death. Risk of being wide open? Substantial, but assumed. She had decided. She readied herself and sprout forth the maximum wingspan of her kagune, looking down on the running chimera, who was all too busy trying to get himself impaled in the Rinraku's kagune.

<<"The water flows from the mountain.">> She whispered to herself in Mandarin. <<"...and tears the rock asunder">> She took a deep breath.

She dart at her full speed from her vantage point, jumping high in the air not differently like the chimera had done before, iridiscent birdlike wings of a kagune swiftly repositioning as she spun in midair, one of her well-shaped legs describing a distinctive arc. And then swooping down on the Chimera's neck with her heel, aided by the strength of the jump and freefall, just like a mighty raptor bird. If she landed that hit in the way she intended, the fight would be over, and she could turn to heal those in need. And probably spare deaths, judging how vicious the display was becoming.

Brushing her hair it felt like a good day to have a day off. The sun was shining and she really had a good feeling about this day. It was going to be a good day. Certainly the news was disturbing and the lives of others horribly disrupted, but you had to look forward to something good. When the sun was so happy and shining it must mean someone was having a really good day. Or something really good was going to happen.

Looking through her closet she picked her dress for the day and stared at herself in the mirror. Putting on a shiny shimmery lip gloss that made her lips sparkle, she lifted her eyes up with her massacra brush and smiled. Twirling she looked at herself and grab the ends of the stand mirror.

“Today is going to be a great day Mi,” she told herself. Nodding her head she grabbed her purse, slipped on a pair of matching blue flats and walked out of her apartment. Some would have complained her apartment was too luxurious, but the reality it was something inherited to her. She wished people could see the good in the world despite it being bogged down at times by the worse things.

She believed when the world was smiling you smiled with the world and when the world was crying, then you help others because the world was crying with someone. Leaving the apartment complex she started on her daily walk. She liked the fresh air despite it being in the city and liked the travel in the subways despite it being busy.

People recognized her, but she didn’t fret about it. She smiled and signed their photos or took pictures with them because it wasn’t fair of her to turn them away. She didn’t understand people who turned other people away when they admired their work or respected them. They wanted to be a part of her community and she was a part of her community. She wasn’t outside of it.

Strolling out of the subway she thought about heading to the park, but something was nudging her to go to the coffeeshop first. Skipping sometimes and lightly walking airily on her feet, she finally turned the corner to the coffee shop that reminded her of cafes she had seen on the corners of European streets. Fixing her dress she looked through the window and her heart skipped a bit. Red hair and a smoky look to his eye. There was Katashi.

“Be cool Mika,” she whispered to herself. As she walked into the coffee shop with a smile on her face. Turning around she stared at Katashi. Her heart going a bunch of steps. Dancing to the rhythm of her anticipation.

She had met Katashi only a handful of times, the first was to fix up his mask, the second was to greet him. But meeting him felt like destiny. He could be her Prince Charming. She imagined him in shining armor on a horse, and it made her face go hot. She fixed her hair and looked at him.

“Katashi-kun,” she said nervously, “Hello.”

But it was too late her daydreaming fantasies were taking over.

Mika-Cam:

“I was actually waiting for you Mika-san,” Katashi told her, he smiles at her and she feels her hearting racing at this point.

“You were?” she ask him.

“Yes, something told me to come to the coffeshop on this wonderful day. And it so happens that I bump into you.” When Katashi turns to her, his eyes gleams. There is a dazzling ray of lights, roses bloom near him.

“Oh K-tan you shouldn’t say things like that,” Mika tells him.

“But it is the truth, please sit down, I’ll order you a coffee,” Katashi tells her.

-end-

She sits down from across him and smiles brightly.

“How are you?” she ask, “It’s a nice day.”

Katashi had just finished the last sip of his coffee when a surprisingly familiar face had entered the shop. It was indeed a pleasant sight to see Mika's usual bubbly personality. She was very kind to design his new mask, a luchador style wrestling mask which embodied a roaring tiger to be exact. In every sense, it was perfect for him. The sweet aroma that accompanied her was also welcomed, if not strange for a human however. Katashi shrugged at the thought. It was of no concern to him, it's not like he ate the living anyway. He watched as she suddenly went from approaching him meekly to rushing over to grab a seat opposite him. He glanced at Alice and Kazu before looking back at Mika and smiling.

"Hello, Mika. It certainly is a nice day." He replied with a smile. Katashi seemed to just be able to relax and be himself around everyone in this shop, even when a human entered the room. But this was Mika, so it wasn't really a surprise. "I'm very well, thank you. You seem cheerful as usual today." The crimson-haired ghoul added. His tone remained calm and pleasant.

Katashi was a nice man she wished people didn’t judge him too fast. Sometimes people were often so cruel and jaded. They said awful things and rarely apologized for them, there was something about Katashi she admired.

She melted at hearing his dulcet tones and she just continued smiling.

Mika Cam:

“Your eyes are beautiful when the light hits them,” Katashi tells her.

She looks away and blushes. He was really coming onto her wasn’t he.

“Yes a lovely day,” she said nervously and turned back to him, “Did you finish your coffee? I was thinking of getting myself something too.”

Alice clicked her tongue at the two.
"Keep ignoring your bestie and you won't be getting any coffee," she said, her tone making it obvious she was joking. She'd already started on the girl's coffee.

"So what's the haps, flower power?"

The combination of attacks was proving more than enough to outmaneuver the deranged Chimera. The thorns caught perfectly, slowly down the rushing beast, blood now coating its entire body.

And then came Mei's dropkick, crashing into the Chimera's head with a sickening crack. The body slumped on the thorns, slowly, before becoming dead weight. The Kagune dissolved, leaving behind what seemed to be a kid younger than Kristian.

A check would find what could've been a pulse, but it was not definite. The odds said that the Chimera would die within ten minutes, between the blood loss and injuries.

Kristian watched the Ukaku user’s heel slam into the head of the Chimera. When he reverted he didn’t seem much older than him. Kristian stared at the individual for a second, eye tearing out lunatic slumped over onto the ground. Weight over his thorns that he hadn't released and refused to do so.

Dying, but still ultimately alive. An inclination in his DNA told him to outright kill the Chimera. But a thought of survivability told him not to expose himself too much to Travis and this new stranger. Clearly if he opted for the death of this Chimera too soon. Knowing that he was not the wallflower at least Travis believed him to be.

Still Kristian was under no circumstance or any inclination that he wanted to spare this Chimera’s life. End it now. End his miserable existence now. It didn’t speak. It came charging at him. It had ripped its own eyes out of its sockets. It was berserking creature. What kind of future would it have? He saw it as a lost cause.

He cracked his knuckles. He watched as the Chimera slumped over and whispered something, he could barely make it out.

Was he conscious? He felt no remorse for the thing. He actually felt more pity for it. It was better off day.

“If you can hear me,” Kristian began, there was a different cadence to his voice at this moment like perhaps he was older, though he wondered who would pick that up in a moment like this, “Convince us, why you should live?”

Could have just killed him. Now he’s opened a can of worms for him to create a sob sorrow for others to feel sympathy for. It pissed him off and he grinded his teeth when no one was looking. He hoped they didn’t care to look or pay close to attention. Instead to listen to this fucking pigs cry me a river story.

"Oooh, no no no no!" Sora said insistently. As Taiki continued to eat, Sora slid a file on the bowl just as the First Class' chopsticks went above it. "You're not weasling your way out of this! You might want to push this back, but we'll have to do it eventually, and I don't intend to do it alone. I won't give you a moment's peace until you check and pick one case!"

He let go of the file, leaving it as if it were a lid for the bowl. He stared intently at Taiki, his head leaned forward on the table.

Travis continued to try and wipe the pepper out of his eyes as he groaned in pain, god this sucks. He was still wiping his eyes when he heard the a wet crunch, something had just been mashed and he was glad it wasn't him. But he was unsure who it was "Kristian! Are you alright!?" Travis' voice showed genuine concern. He then took off his mask so he could better try and wipe his eyes using his sleeves. "Is the thing dead!? I can't see shit at the moment!" Travis squinted over seeing a jumble of shapes two standing one sprawled out on the floor. He started to walk over putting a hand over the shoulder that took a shard slash, fucking sucks...

Kazu looked up at the owner when she mentioned teaching her how to fight. There were practically stars in her eyes.

Yes! Oh my gosh yes please!”

She would take any opportunity to better her fighting technique. She wasn’t sure what this woman could teach her, but she didn’t doubt that she could learn something.

“Don’t worry; I don’t plan on getting bloody again any time soon,” she said, vaguely boasting. She didn’t actually get bloody very often (with her own blood, at least). The guy from this morning had just gotten a lucky hit and her mask had done most of the damage.

Kazu became a little wary when a human entered the shop, and even more nervous when she recognized this human as a celebrity. She didn’t know much about the woman, but she had seen her face around. The others seemed to be comfortable around her, at least.

Kazu just looked back at her book, still excited at the prospect of having a fight coach.

'Oh, your fifth? Impressive. I guess I have a ways to go, then,' he shrugged, nodding as Seto called for them to get moving, and began walking after the man himself. Graye, nudging him, asked how he managed to get paired off with the leader of Ward 8, to which he lightly responded 'Who are you calling a runt? Fourth in my graduating year, remember? Though to wit, I do have Seto to thank for that, if indirectly - funny story, I had no idea he was as important as he is when I first met him, just that he was a high-ranking investigator. I challenged him for something, we made a bet over it, and that motivated me to push myself to where I am now.

'As for why he's picked me to go with him on this mission specifically, well, we have our numbers to think about,' he continued, a bit of a smile crossing his face despite himself. 'We have two other investigator pairs doing their part to contribute to this case, and not so many spare beyond that to my knowledge. Plus, as I'm sure you've surmised, we have some history, if not a heck of a lot. Maybe you and I will one day be allies of that nature too, Graye.'

By now, they'd reached their destination: what appeared to be the scene of a serious fight, a park with some sparsely-scattered, but heavily damaged trees. A nearby bench had taken harm too, one leg bent to tilt the whole construct despite being made of metal, and there was blood spattered across the ground. Though he dared not make it obvious, his nose told him quite a bit right off the bat: there had been both ghoul and human fighters in this, though it had been too long with too many other humans present for him to tell how many of each. That said, it didn't take him too long, maybe a few minutes, to come to the conclusion that the scale of the damage dealt and the blood spilled, human and ghoul both, suggested three fighters total. So, what would be the most likely scenario...?

'Alright,' he spoke up matter-of-factly after about five minutes, raising his voice a little bit to catch both Seto and Graye's ears, 'here's my theory, short of any other information that might be missing. Do tell me if I've missed something crucial, such as whether we have any surviving witnesses?' The extra time had been taken to figure out how to phrase his theory in a way that didn't out himself, but if he wasn't interrupted, he figured it ought to be fairly foolproof as a result.

'The scale of destruction suggests more than two people fighting, but not many more. It seems logical to assume that it started off with two humans walking through this park, minding their own business as it were, or possibly on a job for CCG. Suddenly, a ghoul attacks; it's unlikely to be two ghouls attacking one human, as to my knowledge, it's reasonably uncommon for ghouls to work together in a hunt, and two ghouls against one human is a fairly extreme amount of overkill unless the target is a skilled investigator. As it happens, one or both humans are in fact investigators, or otherwise have access to a quinque or other anti-ghoul weapon - the lack of bullets in the area suggests they weren't using a gun or Q bullets in any form, and the amount of blood spilled suggests that the ghoul was also injured in the fighting, so clearly they weren't completely defenseless. If we could get some test samples of the blood spilled, we might be able to distinguish who was actually involved, if we haven't done so already.

'In any case, both sides of the combat are injured, but eventually, the ghoul makes its escape, either fed or unfed. Considering what you said about the bodies our suspect left behind earlier, Seto, I'm willing to bet they were in fact fed upon, with some flesh stolen by the ghoul for its own ends if that still applies; it may also have been, as proposed earlier, that the ghoul had a quinque on its person, or perhaps snatched the investigator's quinque, killed them with it, then abandoned it afterwards. Speaking of which, did you say the wounds dealt were consistent with a quinque, or with quinques in general? Because if it's the latter, it could be that the ghoul is actually targeting investigators specifically, killing and mutilating them with their own weapons to hide what exactly their kagune's injuries look like.'

No No no no no.... Mei blanched upon witnessing the drastic altered course of fight, in no small thanks to the rinraku kagune of the young man stopping the chimera far quicker than she thought. But the inevitably happened, and instead of cracking the dangerous ghoul's spine, she had managed to strike a direct punitive hit against the head, no doubt probably even more lethal. To credit the ghoul's resilience, Mei was glad that she had not truly pulverized the guy's head into a fine paste with that blow.

After quickly regaining her footing besides the berserker ghoul, she watched the pitiable spectacle. His rage had vanished, and now despair was beginning to assault him. Mei could not avert her gaze. This monster was deserving of sympathy. He had clawed his eyes out just to avoid pain. She wondered how much had he been tortured to reach that point. She tilted her head. Kokaku was still blind but alive. Good. At least she would not case more deaths in her zeal.

"Sorry about that. Try blinking some more, it should help. He is not dead...yet. But neutralized, sure." Mei said curtly to the Kokaku, as she eyed the pitiful figure of the former beast, still hung by the Rinraku. Whom, now seemed bent on questioning him bluntly. She found the youngster kind of cocky, but after how the fight had been developed, she reasoned most youngsters would feel that way.

"Why should not we? Would, perhaps his death save anyone? Is it a matter of safety, or a matter of satisfaction?" She commented out, her sight set on the Rinraku ghoul. The situation was making her slightly more mindful of her barbs, but not by much. Her sight turned into the chimera.

I need to stabilize these massive wounds. Even for a Rinraku chimera, unless we can trigger the accelerated regeneration, he is a goner. He will be still be one should I intervene. This is going to suck. She pondered, not relishing the idea of what she had to do. There was a way, yes, but not something that was her cup of tea. She focused, her kagune shrinking and changing shape, until it was but the tiniest hint of shards on the back of her shoulder. She rubbed one of the now miniaturized protusions, producing a small shard of Kagune, razor sharp like a scalpel.

One of the largest muscles in the body is the Gluteus maximus. I can harvest enough flesh from there and still not suffer many side effects for the time being. The bad news is, that i'll have to prechew it because he doesn't seem in a position of swallowing. She gulped as she readied herself, lifting the back of her skirt with one hand, and performing a deft cut on her left buttock, huffing in pain, but maintaining enough discipline to tear a meat slab out of it. Well, there goes my new dress, stockings and part of my dignity. Also my lovely shaped backside. She grimaced as she steeled herself for the second part. She really had to keep her discipline on this one, as she reduced the graft into a fine paste using her mouth. She leaned for the final part of her move, giving the young, eyeless ghoul a mouth-to-mouth maneuver so that he could benefit of the...strange meal.

"Live" She whispered to the incapacitated ghoul.

Kill the rotten bitch and the Chimera. Well there went any plan for interrogation. She just did whatever she wanted huh and didn’t care about what other people did. Thought she was hot shit and now she was trying to save the other. Should just throw a thorn through both their throats. He only briefly looked over towards Travis and then back at the individual.

“Safety,” Kristian responded to her quietly in a more tempered voice than earlier when he was threatening the Chimera. He was trying to fight the urge of gutting them both. Tearing a thorn straight through their abdomen. But for his safety he would hold off for now.

He didn’t want to. His thorns hesitated releasing themselves. Everything in the fiber of his being told him to kill them. His own mind wouldn’t let him go that easily. Just letting prey go away like that and they are both lined up perfectly. But he also needed the protection of these Ghouls in this city. For his own safety.

He couldn’t get his thorns to release because he didn’t really want to. Slowly releasing them making sure doing so would be as painful as it could be.

“You just inject your will without listening to others,” Kristian remarks, “This is your problem now. When it rears its ugly head and betrays you. I didn’t warn you.”

Pulling out the other he makes sure it cuts across some of Mei’s hair and cheek while she’s self feeding that beast.

Pushing a bang out of his eyes, he walked slowly towards where Travis had been standing. He placed a hand on Travis shoulder.

“It’s me, we’re leaving, where can I take you to get your eyes washed out?” Kristian asked grabbing his hand.

She could die for all he cared. She wanted to be the hero, be the hero. He wasn’t here for glory. He was here for protection. She clearly didn’t want any of her own. Didn’t even care to let them weigh in their thoughts before making her own decisions. As if she was more important.Well he didn’t know who her highness was, but he knew her highness would die making decisions like that. Decisions like that pushed others away and she had no ally in him.

At least Travis was easy to steer. That be where he piggybacked from.

Travis was just standing there listening to quiet mumbles as he still struggled to see, the woman who he had yet to see told him he should try blinking some more. Not like he'd already tried that but he still did it anyway, eventually the incomprehensible jumble of colours eventually turned into blob like figures moving around. One was walking towards him and judging from the colours it was Kristian. Then the blob spoke and it was indeed Kristian, "What's going on over there?" Travis pointed over at where the Chimera and Mei were. "Is the thing dead?" He would ask rubbing his eyes as Kristian started to guide him off. Then Kristian asked where they could clean out his eyes, Travis thought for a moment as he hissed in annoyance at the pepper "There is this Cafe I was at, we could get you that coffee you wanted while we clean my eye I guess."

Travis would look back at the slightly blurry form of the woman who save his ass and was now doing something to the Chimera, he couldn't tell what. "Thanks for saving my stupid ass! Hope you don't run into any trouble for helping us!" Travis would call out before pointing Kristian in the direction they would need to go to the "Bird Cage", his shoulder would still be bleeding so he wanted to go their quickly hurrying along the footpath holding a hand over the cut to hide it as best he could. I guess I wasn't gone that long... Hell I got myself into trouble and it wasn't even because of this thing Alice wants to start... Fucking pepper spray...... This sucks... Travis thought to himself as he blinked rapidly.
