Description: Ryona has long, violet hair, often tied back in some fashion. Her eyes are a much darker shade of purple, and often lend her a sad demeanor. She wears a short, black dress with light gold trimmings, and has a prominent bust.
Personality: Ryona is very fragile and soft spoken. She prefers not to get in confrontations because she's scared of other people's powers and her own. When threatened she takes on a "heavier" tone and often assails her attacker while screaming. She doesn't really have the attitude for theft, but will steal back her own belongings if stolen.
Skills: Not only is she skilled in the basics of telekinesis such as holding and moving objects. She is also quite skilled at creating a telekinetic barrier around 1/4th of her body, strong enough to defect high caliber AP rounds when shaped at an angle. She also traps air or other gasses in a telekinetic field and compact it to low explosive pressure, which upon release acts as a deafening sound bang. She is also well toned for a 19 year old woman, easily able to hold her own against an average man.
Weaknesses: migraine headaches severely limit her ability to concentrate and utilize her Powers effectively.
Brief History: Assaulted many times, avenged half of them. Mother died when she was 10 and her father sold her when she was 17 to a band of mercenaries. When she escaped a year later she did so by burning them all with her "owners" flame thrower.
Other: hates not being able to leave of her own free will, if she is trapped she cannot form any sort of trust or friendship.
He is a pretty average individual, something not seen as a drawback in Libertian society. He stands at six feet tall weighing one hundred and sixty pounds. His is a thin frame, a naturally slender sort. His hands meet at a happy medium between strong and dextrous, his fingers long but not fragile. His face is fairly good looking, nothing worth putting on the front of a magazine but alright enough. His raven black hair is just a little bit longer than the regulatory board's stated ideal length for men's standard hair cuts. His eyes are simply black in everything but the sclera, the most visibly unusual trait about him visible outside the skin.
He dresses in the standard Libertian uniform for his post. Outside of work he wears standard Liberty civilian attire, a preference for the more monochrome selections.

He's just an overall friendly guy, if a little strange.
Mike is a casual fellow, taking everything in good stride. He rolls with each failure and celebrates his victories while he can before setting forward. While he is professional enough to do the work that's expected of him he takes it easy whenever feasible. He's pretty optimistic overall, though what he takes away as good in a situation can often be seen as a little strange.
He has often been accused of being a strange guy. He is veritably unflappable in almost any circumstance. His capacity for what is considered too strange is nearly fathomless. There is no scene too gory, no crime to abominable to dampen his stride. While that is not to say he is without morals he prefers to try and see all sides of an issue, reserving his judgement and attempting to act without too much bias. He prefers to talk over fighting but it seems he's been deemed more suitable for this current line of work so he goes for it all the same. He does hold a fair interest in transmission technology despite the vocation the state has chosen for him.
_ Skills:
Let's start with his blood. His blood is a gruesomely horrible substance simply in how unpleasant every aspect of it is. Its color is pitch black with runny red splotches to be found mixed in. Its consistency is like that of spoiled milk, parts thin and runny while other parts are mucous. Also like spoiled milk some parts contain spongy lumps of congealed which sit in his blood stream naturally like this despite how these qualities would cause a surplus of complications in other people's bodies.
It's smell is truly frightful. It's several factors worse than the sickly sweet aroma of rotting corpses with greater clinging power than the cloying smell of a skunk's discharge. The smell of his blood can turn the stomachs of even those with the most formidable of constitutions and it has in the past incapacitated people from the sheer strength of it's stench.
Though many would not believe it so, his blood's taste is even worse than it's smell. The juice of his veins is fully toxic, unfit for consumption by basically any living creature. His blood can kill most organisms if it is utterly determined to swallow it. Not only is it deadly but for those who survive they will be tasting nothing but the revolting taste of his blood for nigh unto a year.
Lastly for his skills he's currently training in firearm use and Liberty security protocal. He's working on familiarizing himself with the tools of the job. He's got some knowledge of transmission technology and can even apply a bit of that know-how to mechanical repair. He has in the past built a radio from spare parts.
_ Weaknesses:
His primary weakness is that he can only consume food that is infested with fungus. If he attempts to eat uncontaminated food his stomach will be thrown into revolt and he will soon regurgitate it. This makes his diet very particular and he's had to rely on breath fresheners to avoid workplace complaints due to the bad breath his meals create.
Aside from that he can sometimes be a bit strange which circumstantially may or may not be a bad thing.
_ Brief History:
Mike's mother worked in the genetics sector down in The Bloodworks, the less official term for her subdivision. Her gift was the ability to sweat a potent contact hallucinogen. She was moving along fairly well in her career but unfortunately a couple of her co-workers snagged the recent promotion available. Unfortunately due to this her projected momentum was extended past the date where she'd exceed appropriate age for reproduction. As such there was a definite push from above for her to enter herself as available in the genetic matching algorithm.
It didn't seem all too bad at the time. The system was supposed to match her with a mate with the most optimal genetic compatibility, something she had mistakenly assumed meant they would appeal to each other as well. It was much to her severe disappointment when she met her mate.
He was a strange amorphous blob of flesh with many eyes and several sets of teeth, no humanoid shape to really speak of. He was also employed in the genetics sector under the chemical engineering division. His gift was, aside from leaving him a shifting pile of living bio-goo, the ability to manually synthesize chemicals within himself.
After a couple years and a sizable number of failed appeals Mike was born. Though his odd digestion issues offered a bit of turbulence Mike lived the life of the average Libertian child. His family were hoping to see him enter genetics like them however the aptitude test selected him for Homeland Protection instead. Alas they were still supportive. Having grown into a young man he now enters the world of Homeland Protection as a new trainee.
Gift: Energy Gunner: He has a special pistol tied to his energy that can shift it's frame. Meaning it can go from said revolver, to an m870 shotgun, to a vector .45, to a break action single shot .50 cal. , And finally a Vulcan (small 9mm minigun). Each takes varying amounts of his energy, due to the bullets fired and shifted forms reliance upon his energy for corporeality. The pistols natural form is not strenuous and none of the forms weigh anything to Ryan.
Ryan also learned he could coat his body in a tight fit teal energy armor that covers the whole body, the head protection is a sort of riot mask with a blackened facial plate unable to be seen threw from the outside. While sturdy and a good defence against small to large Calibur bullets and shrapnel, to much damage to the armor can be just as fatal.
Ryan's newest trick is to summon and throw energy bangs, which burst in a 5' diameter with a sort of teal light that blinds, deafens, and burns.

Description: usually wears a tight black long sleeve with black denim jeans. A belt holster is worn to his right side, in which sits his Energy Gun; The bullet rings are all empty. His eyes glow a dim teal the same as his bullets, as they share the color of his personal energy. He has a rugged yet handsomely carved face and broad shoulders, he is well built and usually wears sunglasses and a bandanna around his left wrist that features a yin and yang with two fuzes coming out of the opposite ends. The black of the yang is replaced with teal, the white is still white.
Personality: Ryan makes up for her sisters shyness with an absurd amount of sarcasm and protectiveness. Often times indifferent to the point his only care is how comfortable Ryona feels. Ryan has his serious moments however and knows when it's time to leave a situation alone. Ryan is an optimist to counter his sister's pecemism, and sees the world in shades of hope.
Skills: He's a good haggler and never gets swindled at the table. He can make repairs to minor breaks in automobiles, clean and service most models of cartridge guns, and diagnose basic issues with equipment such as his hand radio.
Weaknesses: He could not take any action that would harm his sister's life. If it were him or her, he would let himself die to save Ryona. Aside from that, he doesn't have any biological durability and can be killed fairly easily while unarmored.
Brief History: Taken care of his sister since birth and when she was sold he was out on a job, when he finally tracked her down a year latter and planned a rescue. He was interrupted by crazed screams and fire, his beloved sister bad fallen off the wagon and was torching thier rended bodies in a pile while laughing. He quickly calmed her down as best he could and vowed from that day forth to always be there to protect her. When she finally gained back some of her personality she was a shy fraction of herself, only ever truly at peace alone in the night next to her sleeping brother. They've been together ever since they met and continue to watch out for each other.
Other: Ryan is all for amends, but wrongs against his sister can't be forgiven by him. If anyone were to steal or harm Ryona in any way, Ryan would kill them the next time they met. No questions asked.
Gift: The Ability to Become A Person or an Animal With a Touch (They can touch someone or something and gain everything about them. She is that person on a cellular point and has everything about them, except their memories. Although, since she doesn't have memories, any gifts she gains are completely new to her, making the gifts unpredictable or dangerous, but they're mostly useless.)

Description: Ren has nearly flawless skin, with the exception of a scar that is in the skin right above her heart. She got it when someone tried to kill her but didn't do a very good job. She often wears her favorite age worn leather jacket and a pair of black pants to match. She also usually wears a red shirt, whether it's a tank, blouse, or tee. She stands at about 5'9" with a feminine figure. She's muscular, mostly in thanks to her good luck with genetics.
Personality: A hard-working and stubborn woman, she is difficult to move if she doesn't like the opinion and she often tries to sway people towards her ways of thinking. Ren is very calm and protective of everyone she encounters, even strangers. She takes pride in whatever she does, whether that's butchering an animal or stitching up a pair of pants.

Brief History: The first years of her life, like the majority of creatures, was based around learning. Ren had the basics down first, then came finding purpose. She wanders the Ashlands, since she was born there. She never really had a chance at simply living in a town (She was born in a small unnamed Oasis), but she didn't mind. Ren wanted to find her purpose, and for now, she figures it's buried deep in ash. The life of someone in town never seemed like her kind of thing. They were loud and crowded, full of people that lived to impress and died of jealousy. Ren's powers first started dropping when she hit puberty, but only manifesting in small amounts. She could change her skin tone, her hair color, even her eyes. She practiced every day until she was finally able to transform herself completely. After she could go as far as change her bone structure and organs, she realized she could steal people's complete identity instead of mimicking it. It was an accidental discovery that Ren found after hugging her mother and accidentally turning into her, memories and health problems included. Ren had loving parents, even though they stayed away from people as much as they could. She was born and raised in an Oasis, only leaving to get supplies from a nearby settlement. Ren's job was to go out and get the supplies, since no one knew who she was, especially since she could change her experience at will. One day, she was sent out to get supplies. She came back to an empty home. Everyone and everything was gone. It was like they packed up and left, completely forgetting her. Currently, she's still searching for her parents. Ren wants to know why they left her, even if that means going through the entire Ashland to get her answers.

Gift- Energy scars: Nicci can launch red slashes from her hands that travel quickly up to 15ft. At point blank ranges the Red Energy slashes can sever limbs, cut stone, and rend weak metal. The slashes can still cut stone up to 5ft. as well as metal if hit repeatedly. From 6 to 15ft the slashes as unable to cut stone or metal. Most often energy scars can't cut all the way through limbs at this distance and disapate during the cut, leaving potentially fatal gashes.

Nicci is almost always in a neat white mini dress with red trimming. Her hair is decorated with 4 special red and black flowers that never wilt. Sh never wears any sort of shoes. She has short black hair and her eyes are a bright blue with an ornate Iris shape.
Personality: Nicci takes her form as a ticket to act childish around others, forming an innocent view of herself with those around her. She seeks comfort in other groups, often pretending to be a helpless child in need of something. In reality she is quite smart and manipulative, preferring to live off of the work of others for things like food and water. However she is somewhat childish, never having to grow up physically she feels entitled to such behaviors.
Skills: Nicci is good at tying and undoing knots. She also has a light step and is good at sneaking around. Nicci has practiced picking locks and carries a lockpick set. She's very good with slight of hand and thievery. Apart from her difficulty controlling kick on a weapon she's a fairly steady shot.
Weaknesses: Nicci is weak due to her young body and could be physically restrained easily.
Brief History: Nicci travels around the ashlands trading goods at settlements. She uses her small stature as leverage to get good deals from good natured people. Nicci cannot remember having a mother or father at any point in her life. Her earliest memory is trying to steal a pack from a travelers camp. She was successful and remembered deciding to work on being sneaky from that day forward.
Other: Nice carries a good size backpack filled with her belongings, as well as a thigh holster covered by her dress. The pistol in the holster is a USP .45 compact to fit her smaller hand size and help her deal with recoil. Nicci also carries 2-3 spare clips in her underwear.

Description: Her hair is a silky gold trick of the light falling to the small of her back her eyes like luminous malachite. She is shapely and moves with the grace of a dancer standing 5’9” guess her weight if you wish to be rude.
She is obviously aware of her femininity and dresses as well as presents herself someone who likes being looked at without the Vanity.
Personality: Shifter seems more Bunny’s mindset than describing her powers as she can drift form light hearted to deadly between breaths and as committed to either stance.
Most of the time Bunny is the light-hearted type never hinting beneath the exterior is a realist.
Sure she could have grown up jealous of others cursing her life angry at the world but that would have been a waste of her time as she sees it; even facing her own death Bunny surrendered to fate and somehow hit the jackpot.
Skills: (Bunny is a performer trained like the Hong Kong opera in the real world.) She is a good seamstress She is a gymnast able to walk ropes, trapeze and such. Expansion this ability's primary weakness is that it is useless indoors if Bunny wants the building to survive, also so she has no control over her weight gain increasing to a full 100 tons at max height. She cracks concrete, has to be careful around overhead utilities, traffic signals, signs, and the list goes on because at 20 meters tall she is like a parent navigating a world strewn with children’s toys. Dispersion the first effect is the loss of the ability to communicate because her vocal cords are intangible and unable to vibrate the air. Unable to be touched by the physical she is still able to be stunned by energy attacks. Density Increase She is unable to swim in this form sinking like the rock; also she suffers similar weight effects like expansion and is unable to easily move in normal buildings if they have any floors that are beneath her because her weight per sq. foot is too great for most homes and many office buildings.
Brief History: Bunny is a Late Bloomer as far as Gifts go having only had her’s now for two years.
She claims to born in a place to the south in a town on stilts called Misted cove and sounds like a hillbilly shack on water surrounded by 50 more just like it. Her mom and dad she says were performers who traveled with a nomadic troupe of like minded and skilled people.
Raised to perform for the entertainment of the crowd Bunny is either a great or adequate singing according to the the listener’s tastes and as an actress can reduce people to tears from the stage even being arrested for starting a riot her performance filling her crowd with outraged indignation causing them to turn against Leaders they thought and knew corrupt.
Sentenced to death she was lead to her doom almost 3 years now when just as they tried to lop off her head she became vapor blown on the breeze away from there and across the land for two days before she became solid once more; it was there her life changed and alone in a wasteland she became Shifter and a freebooter for hire. (people call her Bunny because of a bunny head silhouette on her left shoulder and seldom call her Shifter the name she prefers)

Gift: Plant Manipulation = Velma can create, shape and manipulate plants, including wood, vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, fruits and flowers. She also can cause plants to grow, move/attack or even rise from the soil and "walk", mutate plants by rearranging DNA structure and revive withered or dead plants. Velma can use her power for defense and support by growing plants from the ground and make them sprout seeds/fruits/berries, or even to possibly use plant chemicals to heal people or objects or manipulate their properties for a wide range of effects. Though less commonly activated Velma, the ability may deal a series of offensive techniques on a target. Using the plants as weapons enable her to grasp and strike continuously with vines and roots, project thorns at a distance, and quickly regenerate the withering weapons at the Velma’s will. She can make vines grow and climb around a target's neck, causing choking, or even strike with plants. A more subtle technique is to release damaging toxins and pheromones, affecting targets in which conditions should be treated quickly with ailments. Her ability also allows Velma to communicate with plants in a fashion, they aren't bright but they can warn her or call her using scents as well as a very rudimentary telepathy at close ranges.

Personality: Friendly is how anyone who meets Velma leaves describing her and few can remember ever seeing her angry. That said many think she’s a pushover but they would be wrong because the same will and control she uses to command plants makes her a determined young woman. Weaknesses: Velma has two weaknesses
1- She becomes dormant entering a hibernation state at temperatures below freezing and can be kept in this state for an indefinite amount of time as long as she is kept below freezing.
2- She must have at least three hours of daylight per day or enter a dormant state till revived by exposure to at least 6 hours of daylight
Brief History: Born into a Merchantile family in Erubesco wasn't a bad beginning for Velma her ability at plant manipulation, in the beginning, marking her to work on the family plots when at age 12 it received a strange boost in the form of an event that should have killed her.
It happened while visiting the family Greenhouses and being present at an attack by elements of Liberty that caused the collapse of the building she was in trapping her inside for three weeks before her body and the bodies of four other children were discovered. As is the custom of the city bureaucrats the bodies were handed over to a low ranked healer whose duty it was to officially pronounce death; only in Velma's case, she wasn't.
Completely unharmed by her ordeal Velma was studied briefly then returned to her family with provisions she attend advanced classes to hone her valuable gift in this shattered world.
By age 14 she had several powerful patrons who saw her benefit to society as well as their only lovely grounds that are ordered as they command on levels not achievable without her talents.
Velma resides on land granted for her use with a beautiful Greenhouse called Half-Moon as her domicile

Gender: Male
Gift: Mental Weapon Summoning/Levitation Whenever Nick touches a weapon, he stores it in a 'vault' within his mind. He can then summon a copy of that weapon and move it with his mind. He can currently summon a total of six weapons at a time before it causes large-scale internal damage though, and even summoning a single weapon causes a certain level of strain to his brain. This strain grows for things with lots of moving parts like firearms, to the point where he can only summon two rifle-level guns at one time without his brain exploding. Finally, while difficult to accomplish, if one of his weapons should break properly, it has a similar effect to a flashbang going off directly in front of his eyes.
Loyalty: Just another dumb Ashlander.
Description: Nick is tall and somewhat muscular, with short, messy black hair and a smile that all to often gets mistaken for a smirk.
Personality: In a word, Nick is friendly. Like, stupidly friendly. He is the kind of person who will try to start a conversation and help people whenever he can, whether he's in a town centre full of friends or a secluded tavern filled with generic baddies. His judge of character is almost famous for how terrible it is, something that can be clearly seen during interaction with some of the less savoury members of society.
It definitely takes a lot to make him legitimately annoyed. Should you actually manage to get him angry, however, his entire demeanour will change. He will grow cold, calculated, and quiet, and fight with an almost mechanical efficiency. Get him beyond that point, and he will tear through any opposition to reach you.
In the end though, he's very naive, hoping for the best of people even when its clear that someone is beyond saving. He believes that almost anyone can be redeemed, sometimes acting rather desperately to prove that belief is correct. Perhaps it has something to do with his past, of which he speaks so little...
Skills: He is quite skilled with multiple forms of weaponry, spending a good chunk of his time practicing with the ones he summons.
He can be surprisingly clever and efficient when making plans, and he's even better at improvising when said plans fail horribly! The improvisation may not always include smart actions, but it usually works out...
He's not a bad cook, at least according to him. This rarely comes up though, so whatever.
Weaknesses:
He can be kind of an idiot, especially during the heat of the moment. He is also an incredibly bad judge of character.
He has a weird sense of humour, with many of his jokes just not landing, and its not uncommon for people to think he's insane from some of the worse ones.
His weapon summoning can take a lot out of him, depending on the intricacy of the weapon being summoned. Specifically, a large number of moving parts within a weapon will make it take a decent amount of energy to summon.
His smile sometimes makes it look like he's trying to pick a fight.
Brief History: Not a lot is actually known about Nicks past. He simply appeared in a random town a couple of months ago, entering the tavern and asking the nearest person if there was anything he could do to help them, while simultaneously asking why no one was answering him when he tried to talk to them.
Two days later, he could be seen in the outskirts of the town, surrounded by the small gang of bandits led by the man he'd approached in said tavern. No one knows exactly what happened in those two days, and the only clues to what it might have been was the cold glare on Nicks face. Finally, after what felt like hours but was really just minutes, Nick made his move, showing himself as the true badass he was. He summoned a zweihander and threw it at the man.
And then sprinted past him when he dodged it, terror clear on his face.
As Nick dashed back into the wasteland, the leader of the bandits took his gang and gave chase, shouting about how he would teach him how they deal with people who pull stunts like his. Screams, shouts and gunfire rang could be heard all the way back in town for the entire day, many of them clearly Nicks from the voice, and only stopping after three or four hours.
When they finally did stop, a group of lawmen travelled to the sight to investigate. Instead of the single, obliterated corpse they expected to find, they were surprised to see a majority of the gang, all unconscious but still alive, tied up and left lying on the ground. Scratched into the dirt next to them was a short message apologising for the noise and a crudely drawn picture of Nicks smiling face.
And so began the tale of the Fool of the Desert.
Other: I mean, I'm sure anyone whose seen the show I'm referencing will realise who Nick is based on, just by the personality, but I added a nice new stupid nickname just in case. It's also his favourite character, hence why he gave that nickname to himself.
-Eidetic Kinesthesia allows a person to copy and master various physical skills, from writing, to fighting, to parkour. It has its limitations, but it’s a useful gift to have.

DESCRIPTION
Nate has short, messy hair, thin lips, a jaw line that comes down to a sharp chin, and small ears. He is physically average, not too muscular not to flabby, he is around 5'5 and has a vocal range around baritone to tenor. He usually wears what he already owns, a jacket, a few pouches, slack pants, rubber shoes and that’s about it. That’s not even counting the stuff he’s going to get in the military.
PERSONALITY
-Nate is a happy go lucky guy, he just wants to be able to do what he wants without Liberty shoving propaganda down his throat. He is also a crushing realist, he realizes that if he defects to Erubesco, it’s probably going to give him the same result, but he also realizes that it’s either Liberty, Erubesco, or the Ashlands; he doesn’t even want to consider a life in the Ashlands.
-Nate is also pretty talkative, but since he has to watch what he says he finds “Not Talking” to be the best viable option for him in his situation, so not only is he somewhat sad about his current predicament, but also brimming with very… ‘colorful’ things to say about Liberty.
-Nate is too curious for his own good, which is one of the reasons he joined the military and you know what they say about curiosity and the cat.

Many have said that Nate learns fast, and he does, as long as he can understand the concept and the reason behind the lesson, he will pick it up quite quickly. Unless he is completely cheating. CHARACTER NOTE – Math is still his least favorite subject

Being in a state that demands total loyalty and seeing through the various things that’s wrong with it, it makes you somewhat protective of who you really are. Nate has gotten through some tough times with a good lie. CHARACTER NOTE – This means he isn’t all that happy in Liberty, but he has no other choice, he can’t do a damn thing about it cause of his position in society.
WEAKNESSES
-Physical Limit Nate doesn’t have super human physical traits so he has to be careful when trying to do physical activities against people who are physically superior.
-Blind Eyes Without his eyes he can’t use his gift, which makes him more or less useless.
-Physical Abnormality Some people have physical abnormalities which Nate does not inherently have, which means Nate can’t always copy their physical abilities.
-Concept behind the Physical Some physical abilities require base concepts before you can use them effectively, for example, yes he can learn to write in a different language, but he won’t exactly know how to use that language or yes he can learn how to shoot a gun and control the recoil, but he would need concepts like bullet drop and lead, or even something we deem as easy as swinging a sword can be problematic because of edge alignment and design, because not all swords are the same, nor are the techniques used alongside them.
BRIEF HISTORY
Nate once lived in a dull, monochrome colored, somewhat small apartment flat, with a decent amount of allowance which was certainly much better than others. His parents were more loyal than most people, they ratted on their neighbors for the slightest misstep, as a result, for every act of loyalty their allowance increased; he lived a better life than most. His parents worked in loyalty affirmation, they made sure people stayed loyal. Nate could remember that even when they weren’t at work, they were working with him. Nate didn’t realize what his parents were doing to him until he was much older. Things were going well for his family. That was until one fateful day. His parents died of an accident and hours later, armed men in uniform stormed into his apartment – Homeland Protection – and whisked him away to his next of kin. He was asked multiple questions, mostly about Liberty, how much he knew about it, how he felt about its government. He answered them all truthfully, remembering what his parents had taught him. The Loyalty affirmation agent in the car that they were using to transport Nate nodded to the two Homeland Protection officers beside him, they removed Nate’s cuffs. Nate still dazed and confused asked, “What happened to my parents?” The agent looked at him through his shades, Nate was only a small child, couldn’t be more than six years old. “They died in a car crash.” Those words shattered him, for the rest of the ride he sat quietly, not a peep came from his mouth. He was in shock.
A few years later, Nate was enrolled in another school, it didn’t matter which school, it was just another school, all the schools were the same, same seats, same tables, same books, same computers, same same same. Nate was 13, he had been to several different state run schools, he was a different than the rest, he was trying to get away from the bullies that plagued each school; eventually he figured out that no matter what school he goes to, the bullies and jocks are always going to be there. He watched everyone else with special gifts use them in their Physical Evaluation tests, Nate had been through this fifteen times in fifteen schools and he had nothing to show for it. People thought he was a giftless human, he found it contradictory that in a state that professes equality, people aren’t born equal, with that epiphany he began to see the state as nothing more than a facade to make the people feel that there is an equal opportunity for everyone, he saw the gaping loophole in this facade. What if you were human? In a world where there are little to no humans left. What if your gift was useless? In a world where special gifts are what make you useful.
One examiner approached him, ”Nathan Lambent Morrow?” he asked, Nathan replied with a simple nod, ”people call you the… ‘Giftless freak’… Is that true?” Nate was obviously miffed, ”I… I don’t have a gift, at least not an obvious one. If it were obvious I would know, but I don’t notice anything.” the examiner looked at Nate closely, examining him as if he were sick in a clinic; finally he gestured another examiner over, ”We might need a DNA kit.” The other examiner plunged a needle deep into Nate’s shoulder, they were making sure that he wasn’t giftless, giftless humans are rare and are easy to modify in a genetics lab, the best guinea pigs one might say. After the whole examination, all he was told was ”We’ll be in touch...” and that was that.
He went on with his life, quietly questioning the government. In his Sociology Culture and Politics class – abbreviated as Soccupol – he learned that Erubesco might not have been better off either, a rampant caste system with inequality left and right, ugly poverty, and class struggles – was it any wonder why people in Liberty choose to stay in Liberty? He pondered more about it, there was certainly appeal in Erubesco’s theatrics, individuality was obviously their concern, but he found it bothersome that the price was literal, in order to even have that level of individuality one would have to climb the social ladder, which for some was impossible. He came home that day to a letter on the doorstep, it was from State Genetics.
The State Genetics letter went on to tell him the results of his DNA test.
Dear Nathan L. Morrow,
The State Genetics DNA test revealed something quite interesting about your DNA. It wasn’t easy, but I managed to convince my higher up to release the results to you. You have a gift, albeit a very hard to notice gift, the DNA results have shown that the Protein combinations are more numerous towards the eyes, brain, and muscles. Rather than explaining the exact science, I’ll put it into an easy to understand perspective.
Your eyes, muscles, and brain have made a very special connection in your body, essentially – at least from what we’ve been able to predict based on results – you have a gift called Eidetic Kinesthesia, this may sound familiar if you’ve heard of Eidetic Memory (Photographic Memory). The ability allows you to copy physical movements and skills exactly and completely grasp each movement to the point of mastery. It has certain side effects such as enhanced perception and quick learning. This ability is useful, though not as directly potent as reality warping or mind altering or superhuman strength, it is an gift that is potent when used in conjunction with intelligence.
Now I’m sure you’re wondering, why am I helping you? If what the test says is true, then you must be wondering why a state that preaches equality would be helping an individual such as yourself. A gift like Eidetic Kinesthesia and its side effects is an important asset in the field of espionage and military command. I managed to convince my higher ups that, if we told you the truth then you would be an asset in the future, however, the choice is still yours. We hope to work with you in the future when you’re much older Nathan.

The letter’s conclusion made sense, the state wouldn’t just help you for no reason, but at the same time he felt a twinge of suspicion, it isn’t a genetics researcher’s place to decide for the military or espionage. He stood reading the last part over and over; he came to two conclusions, one was they needed him for something, or two the researcher was trying to raise his allowance by kissing up to his boss. Both conclusions are equally dangerous and again he felt trapped. As time passed, he would use his gift to rise above the rest, using his perception and learning to grasp topics and becoming one of the top students. In physical education his ability was more useful, the obstacle courses grew more and more complex as they grew older; he figured it was to separate the army type from the desk job type. He of course aced each obstacle course as he was always the shortest, he always went last watching the others conquer certain obstacles, he carefully watched when people used gifts, and switched to watching other people, he ended up with the best time because he would refine each movement into a carefully orchestrated plan of attack against the obstacle courses.
When he finally graduated, he graduated with honors. A+ student all around, except in mathematics, he hated mathematics, the concepts weren’t as easy to grasp, and there were too many things that confused him, it was a structure within a structure within a structure, at best he got a D- in mathematics. Now the time came, would he join up and become a trainee or do something else? He weighed his options carefully, while it was true he wanted to have a life of adventure, it wouldn’t come as easily as going into the Ashlands, staying in Liberty, there weren’t many jobs that screamed adventure and on top of that life in Liberty was somewhat depressing, and defecting to Erubesco was like playing Russian roulette, he could end up as serf slave because he defected or he could become a knight, which could be like having the gun shoot a blank where it's a good thing he became a knight because he was in a good social position, or the gun being loaded with two bullets and it's actually a bad thing he's a knight due to the amount of attention they most likely garner. Again he felt trapped, the one thing he had, the one thing that the state would allow was music, as long as it was instrumental or the lyrics were promoting the state then it was fine; he used that as his escape from the troubles of politics and the problems of the state and the inescapable situation of his life. He played the Guitar, quietly as to not arouse the police for disruption of the peace. He pondered as he played a sad melody”Even if people argued that everything was better after the war because society continued, it was just a new world, with new diseases. On one side the unfair caste system of Erubesco and the other the corrupt state of Liberty. The Ashlands were just another anarchistic state of nature.” after one song, he got up from his apartment, got everything he owned, and set off to join the military; he figured that it was better to just join the military, things might improve for him or might not, it was a hell of a lot better than joining loyalty affirmation like his parents did. Nate wanted to explore, he wanted to find something to change his fate, and maybe that's what the military could offer him. He lied through his teeth at recruit telling them that he wanted to join "To fight the Erubescian scum" and prove his loyalty by "Fighting for the peace and security of Liberty with his life. He didn't believe in any of those words, just like the state, he too had a facade to get what he wanted, for now he just has to bear it, he doesn't have a choice but to bear it. Maybe, just, maybe, he'll find a way out of his prison.
OTHER
He is a lover of good music and he performs if he gets the chance. A quote from a friend of mine provides a reasonably good explanation for this.
“In an oppressive regime where there is a lot of censored information, propaganda, and media manipulation, music is a god send.”

Description: Sera is considered attractive by most of the wanderers, even with her abnormal eyes. She has long caramel coloured hair that has loose waves, and unless she’s using her light manipulation to make her eyes look normal, they are pure white, with no irises or pupils. She is slightly shorter than average, with a slight frame that goes well with her preferred battle style of “dancing” past enemy attacks. She is physically fit, having been both a Liberty agent and now a wanderer with the everyday fight for survival. When in spirit form, she is cast in white, with some shadows showing definition. Her hair whips around wildly when she is agitated.
Personality: Sera’s personality comes off as a bit unstable, because of her ongoing effort to not remind the wanderers of her past clashing with traits Liberty made sure she had. However, as a general rule, she is empathetic, friendly, and rather flirtatious. She is fun loving and this shows during calmer times, but in battles, the personality Liberty programmed comes through and she becomes focused and efficient. She is not a Leader, nor a meek Follower; she will challenge decisions she disagrees with. She has a touch of vanity to her, but as many undesirable traits, she struggles with expressing it, along with things such as loneliness. Sera cannot stand to be ignored, and wants someone to care for her, so when she feels like an afterthought, she begins to break down. Seraphina also has a high control of herself, though she’s been letting go a bit more often since she left the faction.
Skills: -Seraphina is an excellent liar and can read people well thanks to her training in Liberty Espionage -She is very good with guns -She has been trained extensively by Liberty, making her a dangerous opponent even with traditionally non-offensive gifts -High emotional control -Fast, agile, and observant in battle
Weaknesses: -Her gifts don’t have much defensive capability, so she has to rely on evasion -She cannot use heat manipulation in her Spirit form
Brief History: What Sera remembers is that Liberty forced her parents to leave her and her sister behind after the Iclosis adults brought their unconscious elder daughter to the faction for help after she got stuck in her spirit form. She was only 6 at the time, and wavered between rebelling against the faction for separating her from her parents and wanting to be a good agent, as all the propaganda proclaimed. This rebelliousness lasted until she was ten, at which point she did something unforgivable in Liberty’s eyes. Liberty responded by blinding her. Fear of such consequences forced Sera to submit to the faction and allow them to mold her into the heartless and efficient espionage agent who tricked many other wandering groups into Liberty’s clutches. However, things changed when she met the wanderers, a group she thought might be strong enough to take a Liberty team on. The result of the raid was her losing her sister, her one true tie to Liberty, at which point she was free to join the wanderers. Sera worries that the other Wanderers distrust her, and left for short period of time, only to be reunited with them in the city of Helton. However, she has become more withdrawn due to the long delay in the reunion.
Other: -She is a complete failure at using knives or swords -Her favourite colour is orange and she likes to wear dresses, but tends not to because of practicality -She loves waking up early and will often wake the other wanderers in the process

Description: Talin is very slight, fitting for his status as a speedster, but his arms are well muscled due to his weapons of choice being blunt trauma types. He has honey brown hair and pale green eyes, along with a gentle face. He is nervous and twitchy, with a habit of standing with his back against walls.
Personality: Talin is a gentle soul, but years of harsh treatment have created his current demeanour. He is a loner, and presents himself as uncaring and apathetic. He was honestly happier within Liberty, where his skill as a trainer had him respected. While forced into the faction, he does not particularly care for freedom. Within the wanderers, he scorns them, tending to keep apart and only joining in when unavoidable. He finds it hard to bond with others, and so his strongest relationships are of the student-mentor type, with those who have approached him for help with their gifts. Talin holds a grudge against the wanderers for the death of his closest friend and secret love, unable to stop this train of thought despite feeling it to be somewhat irrational as they had considered them to be enemies at that time. He is lonely and would love to talk to others, but hates himself for his sexuality and so is not very confident. His trained personality, under the name of Tango, is the opposite, being highly confident in himself and his abilities. Talin can force a switch into “Tango”, becoming much more confident and authoritative. As "Tango", he is a leader and a ruthless decision maker.

Brief History: Talin grew up just fine until he was 14, when his father had enough of his oddities and dumped the boy at Liberty. Alone and physically weak, he became an easy target to other Agents, and found himself ignored by the Council with his complaints, because he was so insignificant. Tired of the treatment, Talin threw himself into training and helping others train. It was during this time that he met Robert, a latent earth elemental who took to protecting him until Talin gained the status needed to discourage others from messing with him. Talin slowly fell in love with Robert, and with Sera’s help, the two hatched a plot to run away together. The plan went horribly wrong when Sierra, who had been meant to help the Wanderers, switched sides, and Robert ended up killed. Talin wandered on his own for a while before being found by Sera, who convinced him to come to Helton where he ended up joining the wanderers reluctantly. Robert's dream was to escape and to honour it, Talin stays away, but if it was up to him, he'd return to Liberty in a flash.
Other: -“Tango” is a trained way of thinking that allows Talin to push aside his normal nervousness and fear in high stress situations. Originally intended to be used only on the field, Talin usually ends up using “Tango” in any situation he would rather avoid. -While Talin will help the Wanderers however he can, he won't exactly take initiative until someone asks. -Is a healthy eating nut -As he sees the gifts of others as representations, if you have a specific vision in mind PM me :P

Description: Nicola Varren was considered very handsome in his youth, and you can still see why beneath the effects stress and overwork has wrought. His hair is chestnut brown, though now streaked liberally with grey, but is still soft and healthy to the touch. He has olive green eyes which have lost none of their sharpness, though the sparkle has gone down in increments over the years. He has a few frown lines around his mouth as well as his forehead - evidence of how often he wears an incredulous expression on a day-to-day basis. He is a tall and solidly built man in relatively good shape (unless you compare him to the Knights in which case he is not). Nicola often looks stressed or irritated, or both. His smile lights up his face, but the Viceroy doesn't have much reason to smile nowadays. When the strain is especially bad, his hands begin to shake.
Personality: Nicola is intelligent, logical, strategic, and easily irritated. Enjoying logic and order, he finds it hard to deal with Erubesco’s general insanity. He is very devoted to the faction, and so takes it seriously, expecting his subordinates to do the same. Nicola is very hardworking, almost a workaholic, and he will happily go above and beyond for Erubesco. He tries his best to be fair in his judgement, but usually all his patience is used up by the second person to mess up. He’s a perfectionist as well, and he is severely aggravated when things don’t go according to plan.

Brief History: Nicola Varren was born to an established lordship and grew up hearing of the glory of Erubesco. Quiet and intelligent, the boy was still very much a child and loved to play Knights with his peers. His parents were highly focused on success and raised their children to be just as ambitious. Nicola, based on his personal definition of success, decided to join the Erubesco ranks. Though with potential to be an efficient Knight, the Erubesco leadership decided Nicola’s skills were mostly in administration, and put him on that track. As his responsibilities increased, his free time and energy for fun decreased. The event that shoved Nicola over the edge to the serious workaholic he is today was the sudden death of his parents. Completely unexpected, both Varren children were left reeling. Suddenly, Nicola had to deal with the responsibility of being Lord Varren and managing his sister’s courtships while angling for the coveted promotion to Viceroy. As their ideologies split further and further apart, Nicola began to lose patience and as soon as Cecelia was safely married, he promptly disowned her. Soon, the combination of overwork and higher stress response led the new Viceroy to begin suffering small nervous breaks that escalated over time. However, because he is good at what he does, Erubesco doesn't mind...much.

Description: Sierra is seventeen and just starting to grow into her new height and curves. Blonde and blue eyed, she is finally the same height as her elder sister and very pleased about the fact. She’s well aware of the attention her looks get her, and is especially practised at looking cherubically innocent or pouting sweetly. Her hair is long and straight, and her eyes are large with long lashes. She is very fair, fit as all Trainees must be, and keeps her hair up in a bun or a braid when she’s working, which is most of the time. Sierra has very good posture and walks with her back ramrod straight. When annoyed, she places her hands on her hips, while when shy, she crosses them in front of her stomach defensively. Even when down, her hair is always kept clear of her ears.
Personality: Sierra is dedicated to Liberty. and is extremely hardworking and serious about moving up the ranks. She simultaneously envies and idolizes Sera, hoping to one day show that she is just as good as her sister. Beneath it all, however, is a strong sisterly bond, so she’s been left on shaky ground after Sera’s betrayal of Liberty. This has only strengthened her resolve, as she must now prove that more than ever, she is not her sister. Sierra is very friendly and a romantic at heart, believing in true love. She is loyal to both friends and faction.

Brief History: Sierra was brought to Liberty very young and so barely remembers her parents. She was protected by her sister from some of the harsher elements of Liberty training until she was ready to deal with them. She idolized Seraphina, but as she became older also began to feel a bit jealous and wish to prove she could be just as great of an agent. She has watched her sister and the consequences the elder girl suffered for failure cemented her own loyalty with a desire to avoid such punishment. Sierra was shocked and horrified to be brought back from a long stasis only to learn that her sister had betrayed Liberty and run off with those who caused Sierra’s apparent death, and when she was given the chance to join a fast track to espionage, she threw herself into the work. She is determined to reawaken Seraphina and bring her sister back to her side.’

Description: Straight blond hair that brushes his shoulders and warm brown eyes that sparkle and tease are Dami’s two most captivating characteristics. His frame is tall and slim, lightly toned rather than muscled. A delicate facial structures gives him a touch of femininity, and he’s always been a very girly boy.
Personality: Fun, flirtatious, and a fucking huge tease, Dami is a very good representative of Erubesco frivolity. He is vain, immoral, and will sleep with any man he finds attractive. Dami can also be surprisingly cold, and he’s a vengeful little thing, often going above and beyond when he feels he's been wronged. That said, Dami has a surprisingly good mind for business, and has made his fashion line one of the best known in Erubesco. He’s absolutely shameless, loves to show off, and is a cheerful optimist who takes extreme joy in life… unless he’s having one of his insecure mood swings, but those are private moments no one else has ever witnessed. Dami is also extremely self destructive, but this has thankfully not yet been triggered in any serious capacity. He is also terrified of losing control.

Brief History: A pretty young man in his prime, Dami liked to go out and party instead of sit at a desk learning how to take care of the family business. This was turned against him when both parents died, leaving him and their trusted business partner the sole heirs. Too bad said business partner was ambitious, and used the blond’s known frivolity as a reason to take over the school in Damien’s stead. With that move, Dami lost the company his parents had worked towards all their lives. He wanted revenge. Step one was self defence, after he was attacked in his own home by a mercenary. He hired a bodyguard, James (hired for his mental gifts), who soon became his lover, who watched over as Dami established and grew his business. Soon Dami could support his lifestyle. He still wants revenge, and claims to have a plan, but thus far, this plan seems to involve sleeping with the entire male population of Erubesco and going to as many parties as possible. In the background though, he’s sinister. Because a certain homophobic ex-business partner can’t seem to stop lusting after a certain pretty male blond...
Other: -Dami can't stand being tied up or held down. He’s also claustrophobic -Dami's parents owned and ran Erubesco's most well known finishing school -Dami has started his own successful fashion line within Erubesco. This is how he met Derrick Avalon, and he is now a close friend of his. -He lives in a mansion named Riventree, and has paid a lot of money to have the lads around it restored to full potential

Description: Tall and thin, Faye has a pleasant face and pin straight brown hair. Her eyes are a pale calm blue which can become piercing when her temper is up, but not otherwise. She walks briskly, often wearing a light open lab coat, and is rarely seen without a clipboard or notepad or folders in her hands. The lab coat is worn mostly for its large pockets, but Faye dresses practically, as someone who spends a lot of time in labs. For the same reason, her hair is often in a bun, though in her downtime she prefers a low ponytail.
Personality: Faye is serious and dedicated to her job, but as a person is very open and friendly with others. She likes to help and be helpful, though she can be rather unempathetic - something encouraged by Liberty to make disposing of live lab failures easy. Faye is also very enthusiastic about her task in genetics, and she is at the peak of her ambition. Content with being Genetics Councillor, she wouldn't try for Leader of Liberty even if it were an option. Faye is also insecure, both about her appearance and her accomplishments. Because of the luck gift she possesses, she worries others will not respect her because they believe her gift is behind her success. She is also rather maternal.

Brief History: Faye was always into science, and as she got older, became fascinated with genes and genetics. Hailed as a prodigy, everyone got a shock when her luck gift became revealed, suddenly throwing all of Faye’s accomplishments into question. Further testing with gift nullifiers proved that her intelligence wasn't just luck, but by then the other kids knew, and as competition for recognition became more fierce, Faye became a sore spot for many of the others - after all, even with all their work, there was just no way they could overcome a luck gift. She joined the Genetics department, but soon got into a spot of trouble. The previous Councillor became fascinated with her shifting gifts and wished to see how they would combine with other genes. Though unhappy with the idea, the young woman “allowed” the experiment to go ahead, knowing that truly she had no choice. The resulting pregnancy became dangerous and ended up being aborted. Doctors told Faye that she would not be able to carry a child again unless the baby gifted was a luck manipulator, like herself. Though upset, Faye took the time to get over it and return to work. No longer subject to the Councillor’s interest, she was able to focus on running her own experiments.
