Sana

Location: The Tower
Interacting With: A1
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Whatever the mage had done had not only pushed the armor back which he was attacking but stopped the other Armors from moving forward as they had intended. If fact, they froze in place. (Effectively removing their turn for a few moments). It wasn't much but it was enough to keep them from doing any harm or getting close enough to try this round. A hiccup in the magic that was holding them together and helping them move? No one could be sure but did it really matter? It was a small break and when it is six against five, any break is welcome. The odds were currently in favor of the rag tag group, for once. How long that luck would hold out, no one could tell.

Sana wasn't even noticing though, she had already seen two armors advance towards her direction in the few seconds since the battle had started. Her eyes were trained on the one closest to her. (A1) If she had thought about it she might have thanked whatever god or goddess supposedly watched over her but right then her only thought was focused on putting this armored thing back in it's place, or in a fire, whichever came first. Yet she had no fire, she had a bow and an arrow. One she was thankful she had nocked into place before she had entered the building. Rule one of adventuring, never enter a strange place without your weapon at the reason.

Drawing the string of her arrow back she took aim. The woman had a slew of skills that helped her out in the wild. Eagle Eye, perfect balance, gymnastics, and more. All of these skills were wonderful when she was running in battle, tumbling and dodging, if ice was on the ground. None of that helped her here. It was a suit of armor, in front of her, within fifteen feet. Her feet planted firmly on the ground, no wind to account for, nothing. It was as simple and as clear of a shot that could be. Like hitting the broad side of a barn. Problem was, when things were that simple is when they usually messed up. Yet she was a marksman, that was a skill that translated no matter what was going on. Letting loose the arrow it flew and struck dead chest on the armor; piercing it and going deep. She didn't move the armor back but black thick coagulated blood began to seep from the wound. Whatever was in the armor, it was hurt now, bleeding. That was enough.

With the rest of the armors stuck due to the magic weirdness, that ends round. New round begins. Updated placement -

Satilla Valen

Location: The Tower
Interacting With: The Group

"Thomas, get behind me!" Satilla called as she stood between their offensive magic user and the armored undead. At least that's what she thought of what she was seeing right now. She had a moment, a chance to perform an action, but there was a rather bad possible side effect that could hit her in return. If she leaves herself open to attack without her guard up, she was not a fighter so chances were good she cannot go on the offense too much.

Without any other choice, she steeled her defensive stance. Her staff still aimed at the armor (A4). She still believed the helmet that had now it's faceplate missing was her only feasable target with her weaponry.

Cyne & Nor

Location: Tower
Interacting with:A4 & A5

Being a bear changed Cyne's perspective on her role in the fight. Before she was an ill-equipped target for armored undead to stab, and now she was a package of raw power that didn't really need equipment.

The bear took a quick step/gallop over to the closest armor and swung its paw at it. Armor was really good at nullifying cutting and stabbing, the two least pleasant forms of physical attack. Can't cut what you can't touch after all. However, it was not so good at dealing with concussive force. The impact from the blow crushed the armor inward, ripping and tearing off into the cadaver, which was knocked into the wall, where it slid and fell into an unmoving clump.

Nor saw the bear completely destroy a man's torso in a single blow and decided that side of the room was sufficiently covered. No need to get close to the dangerous animal that can kill a man with ease. He might be tough and armored, but armor didn't help the poor bastard who now had sand for ribs.

Instead he turned his attention to the right, where the dainty lady and body were effectively unarmed against armored opponents. Neither of them looked like they could take a hit or were any kind of good in a close up scuffle. He had half a mind to let the boy just take a swing or to as retribution for vomiting on his boot, but that went against being a team player, and would set back his plans to where they were before arriving in Salarn and effectively wasting a day of his life.

Time to fucking shine as a designated meat shield. Nor pushed himself to run as fast as his stubby dwarf legs would allow and positioned himself between the two kids and the undead armor, knife at the ready to stab in all of the joints. He just hoped that the boy wouldn't end up roasting him with a fireball from behind or something in a misguided attempt to help.

Kyra

Location:
Interacting With: A2
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Things were moving now, Kyra could hear things happening but she wasn't taking her eyes off the walking suit of armor in front of her. She had closed most of the distance to it before, now only had a short sprint lunge forward and her sword thrust straight into the neck area, the small opening between the helmet and the chest plate. Coagulated black blood started flowing down the blade and the armor. There was nothing more she could do in that split second but thankfully she had a little bit of back up at her side at all times.

Ash leapt up, tackling the armor as his paws landed on the chest plate. Pushing the armor back and off Kyra's blade. The helmet went flying off. The dire wolf's jaws clamped down on the skull of the newly revealed zombie; crushing the bone and rotting flesh between his jowls. The crunching sound echoed near Kyra as the dark blood from her blade dripped from above Ash and onto his white fur.

Sana

Location: The Tower
Interacting With: A1
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Sana wasted no time in drawing another arrow from her quiver, nocking the the piece of flying death into place. Drawing back the string of her bow she took aim again. In this close quarters, this close to the monster she had just sunk her previous arrow in, she would have much preferred to go hand to hand. She could have moved faster, wasting less time in pulling arrows and nocking them but that would have to wait until she didn't have two right before her and didn't already have her bow in her hand. Sticking with what she had at hand until further notice she let the arrow fly.

It met it's mark. Hard for a marksman to miss this close to the target, especially since she had already hit it once. It didn't go down the first time but as the second arrow met its mark, the slit of the visor in the helmet, it did the trick. The armor didn't stumble back, simply dropping rather unceremoniously to the ground. A long breath released from her lips as she watched it fall and her eyes turned quickly to the monster in armor that had been right next to the one she just dropped.

Vacant now as before,
Or perhaps I never was,
In essence I am nothing,
Do you know what I am?

What strange magics flitted here and there. Something was certainly amiss, Thomas could feel it in the air. The boy's spell had pulled his target back, just as he had intended, armor flung back and partially crushed by the sheer force of gravity. And yet something unexpected happen, something of an anomaly that all the armors seemed to be frozen in time. Their advance halted for whatever reason and the sorcerer wondered why. His own spell shouldn't have done that, not given the range he could manage and the stability of the gravity well he could produce. Sure with another decade or two of training the very same spell could destroy entire battlefields, swallowing up everything into the event horizon like extruding noodles from a pipe. There was a potential for greatness, and great destruction. Of course, that said, the Sorcerer had years of experience ahead of him, and this vocational exploration was exactly what was needed to hone his more practical skills.

That said, never look a gift horse in the mouth, or so the farm-boy would know. Whatever held the armors down be it his spell or something else, the rest of the group took it upon them to capitalize on the break in continuity. Behind him the sound of a bear mauling the reverent, Kyra, Keystone and Sana seem to also be managing their foes with their arms. Leaving the magically inclined of the party at arms with an armor that could charge them at any moment. Well not that the zombie could charge, more like shuffle towards in a very slow stumbling motion given the damage to the metal and the ex-ex-man inside. Did Satilla intend to be the point guard? As touched as he was, the party's healer really shouldn't be placed in such a dangerous position, then again he wasn't too keen on getting in a debate of party roles with Satilla right this very instant. Thus Thomas yielded, and stood his ground behind Satilla watching the girl take her defensive stance with a glorified stick as those soulless eyes stared from the helmet'd dead. "May we should let the fighters handle it Satilla, I mean you're too important to- Us."

Ask and you shall receive. For like some stout-drinking stout knight, the dwarven metal man interceded himself between the non-fighters. Well it was time to see the man's knife skills in play. All the while Thomas pondered what spell drove the cogs behind the armor. What possible interaction could have been made between his spell and theirs? Searching his mind for any sort of connection that could be drawn from the cosmic nature of the disruption to the nature of magicks most malefic. And alas, nothing. "Uh, Feel free to go at it, I'll withhold my spells for now and stay out of your hair!" Oh the irony of telling a barber they can cut without worry of being burned...

Keystone

Location: Deymins Tower
Interacting With: A3, vigorously

Kyra's sarcasm caused the tiniest fleck of annoyance sprang up in the back of Keystone's mind. Make them vomit, indeed. Hell, maybe it was just the sort of challenge to test the intestinal fortitude of the lowborn Pugilist, making a zombie puke. That's the kind of thing that Bards write epic poetry about. But no, Keystone wasn't going to be distracted right then. He had a job to do, and he'd be damned if another group was going to meet a screaming, bloody end. Not on his watch. Keystone let Kyra's quips wash off of him as quickly as they hit, giving a low growl and steadying his mind to his surroundings.

Keystone focused his growing aggression onto the enemy before him. His stance was that of a Shou disciple; he brought it low and charged inward, silvered knuckles leading in the form of a flurry of punishing forefist and verted strikes, inflicting harrowing damage upon the protective steel itself. Its armor bent and buckled, succumbing to the kinetic trauma inflicted upon it by the grim, determined man; if not a Monk in the truest sense, his performance would have earned him their respect and consideration.

The creature slammed into the wall behind it and then rebounded, flailing out of control back into Keystone's circle of controlled violence. The broad man dipped low and executed a crippling downward ridgehand strike, bending the thing's helmet into its rotting casaba and laying it out horizontal before it dropped to the ground in a sad, dented heap. Dead, not dead - it didn't matter. The precious time and talents of a proficient blacksmith would be necessary just to peel the remains from the armor. Keystone's previous growl turned into a territorial roar as he stood over the mangled form of the undead thing, a sneer of contempt coloring his face as he searched for the next thing he could destroy.

The fight continues. There are only two left on this main floor from the looks of things. These undead are a bit tricky to take down, or one would have thought, but they are going down. A6 has moved and is up in Sana's business now but hasn't yet had the opportunity to attack. A4 tries to attack but as it goes to swing it's axe it fumbles, the head of the axe breaking away from the rotten wooden handle. The axe head hits the foot of the undead and imaples on it's foot locking it into place for now thanks to the armor. Lady Luck is smiling on you for now.

When you serve in the military as a dwarf, there's a lot of things you learn pretty early on. 'Less you're feuding with another clan (which was actually pretty common), most of your time in combat was spent fighting races taller than you were. Not necessarily bigger, but definitely had a height advantage, which brought with it its own set of advantages and disadvantages. Trying to fight them at range was a mostly futile effort; they had longer arms and weapons and could cover more distance more quickly with their longer legs. But there inlay their weakness: all their mass was spread out which made them weak to grappling.

Nor sprang forward like an armored bolt of lightning towards the undead and grabbed ahold of its waist with his free hand, and brought his leg behind the armor's. With a light push, he brought the whole thing off balance and put its vital organs in prime position for stabbing. There was a weak spot in the side, so in his knife went. It wouldn't be enough to fell the damn thing, but he had plenty opportunity for more stabs.

Satilla Valen

While Satilla herself wasn't in a mood to argue about party roles, she held a certain responsiblity in her mind. She was tasked with looking over their magic expert and while she wasn't a front liner in any way, she had her long sturdy staff which if nothing else she could use to keep enemies at bay up to a point. She let out a sigh of relief when Nor dashed in and took a positing between them and the armored undead. She didn't lose her cool an caution though. One never knew what could happen at a moment's notice.

Without dropping her defensive stance, Satilla quickly did a glance around the room. Most armors were appearing downed for now. One was by Sana, but Cyneburg could aid the woman as she was closer. Kyra appeared free and so was Keystone. So two armors remained without any major injuries as far as she could tell for the moment. She briefly wondered if she should try to help Nor, but decided to not hinder him in any way. She'd keep her defense up in case of need.

Sana

Location: The Tower
Interacting With: A6
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Another round another copper piece. Sana's eyes had been on the other set of armor since the first one was dropped. As it came towards her she stuck with what she had been doing all along. Bow and arrow. The dark blood from the first gave her a thought. The first one she had hit with normal arrows. But such dark blood let her know something else was going on underneath that suit of armor. She hadn't seen a face yet or a anything within the armor but the blood. When blood flowed it was rich, crimson. You could tell it was fresh. This wasn't fresh at all. This looked like blood from a corpse that had been sitting out far too long before being buried. It was dark, it was black, it ran slowly, it was thick and it smelled. That was dead blood, she was willing to bet her life on it. Maybe not her life but perhaps an arrow of more value. It was worth a try.

Reaching down into her secondary quiver as the armor came towards her she drew one of her prized silver arrows. A gift from the elves, during a war long ago and far away from this sleepy little hamlet. Nocking it into place and pulling the string of her bow back swiftly she took aim. The suit of armor being so close now made aiming for the head easy and the slit in the visor gave her a bulls-eye target. As it got to her she let loose the arrow and it went quickly through the visor slit with a thunk sounding out as it hit flesh and bone within it. The force sent the armor back a step or two. The head turning slowly and barely before it dropped to it's knees and then fell forward at her feet. Yes, definitely worth the change in arrows she thought to herself.

Keystone

Location: Deymins Tower
Interacting With: His own observations

Multiple suits of armor advancing in a hostile manner quickly became multiple suits of armor laying motionless on the ground, steadily leaking dark, fetid fluid onto the tower's flooring. It was easy. Way too easy for his liking. One remained active, presently in a melee with the group's newest member, a knife-wielding Dwarf. Keystone respected a solid knife fighter; someone with his sort of underclass background had to learn a little something about short, stabbing implements. The man himself was more of an unarmed specialist, obviously, but he did get a decent, informal education in the subtle arts of "push in, pull out, repeat 'til dead". He even became a proficient hurler of most things sharp and pointy to round out his options in a fight.

A split second of consideration had him weighing the possibility of sprinting down that way to engage with fisticuffs, though that would have taken time and there were already three people in potential smacking distance. Of course, he could have pulled his big seax, a perfectly balanced and lightly ensorceled blade, and hurled it mightily into the fray. Buuuut... while respectable with a hurled knife, he was not masterful enough to guarantee that he wouldn't perforate Nor in the process. Not a good enough balance on the risk/reward scale for his comfort. With the presence of three people around the single opponent, he figured it was handled.

Keystone did note that there were two down around Sana, who was fairly close by. He had grown a little protective of her as of late, and if these creatures littering her area were undead, he wanted to make sure that they were truly down. The undead, or just as likely, the persons animating and controlling them, were a tricky lot. It wouldn't be the first time one had sprung up from seeming incapacitation. Instead of cluttering up the fray closer toward the exterior door, the massive pugilist made his way over to Sana, intentions of guard doggery in mind.

"Oi, you proper?"

Well she had successfully killed an undead puppet cased in armor, and now she found herself without much else to do. She looked around and saw all but one of the monsters had been dealt with, that being the one on the opposite side of the room. The dwarf looked like he had things handled, so her ursal intervention wouldn't be necessary.

The black bear plopped down its rear end onto the floor as it waited for the battle to wrap up. Sure, the druid could throw off the mantle of the bear and return to her humanoid form, but why would she? That would mean using up her beast wild form, and she would prefer to remain as battle ready as possible while still in the lair of the necromancer. Who knew what else he might have lurking in the tower. And if by any chance the coming storm came to pass and they ended up out in it, she'd prefer to have the extra bulk of the bear form to keep warm.

Thomas Richard Harrison

Location: Barad-dรปr (The Tower).
Interacting with: None.

Everything was going along swimmingly. Which was strange to the young sorcerer. Given the nature of their last encounter, he had expected these guardians to be far more challenging. Tin clad undead? There was something that did not bode well, but alas Thomas could not put his finger on what was amiss. There was a nagging thought in the back of his mind that this was all too easy. An Ill-defended tower, of which the voice so tauntingly claimed to be an abode, such simple guardians taken down by a rag-tag group of rapscallions did not seem equivocal of a force that ravaged orc tribes. Was this a trap to lure them into a false sense of security? For when dealing with undead, they were never truly dead until their remains were ashes. Yet not all the armors had been animated, maybe it would do well to strike those down as well? Regardless it seemed Nor had the last undead down and taken care of. At which Leaves Thomas free to allow the dwarf to continue stabbing the ex-ex-person as the barber pleased.

Focusing on the stairway now instead, Thomas judged this battle to be over soon unless another enemy should make itself known. Either shambling down the stairway to taunt them or appearing otherwise somehow. After all, the necromancer was able to see and hear their arrival. There may be some scrying going on, but the boy was unable to detect such on faint traces. As such it was better to be on guard, and keep a spell ready to be cast should something suddenly appear. They should probably investigate the room when this was all over, and see if there was more to this floor than they originally saw before the battle. Or alternatively they could hurry up to the top while the momentum was hot. He had a few spells left from his preparation... With an ace up his sleeve that would be his final gambit.

Kyra

Location: The Tower
Interacting With: Ash
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Kyra turned her head and took a look around the room. From what she could see things were pretty much under control. The one that had been by Keystone was taken care of and on the ground similarly to how hers was. Nor seemed to be still taking care of one but it looked to be under control and with the close quarters anyone else stepping in would probably just do more harm than good. She was about to take a step forward to see more clearly around the spiral stair case but then she heard Keystone as he stepped out of direct view. Seemed he was talking to Sana. He didn't sound worried so she stayed put where she was.

Hearing Ash growl a bit she looked down and smirked. "Sorry," she said as she noticed her blade was dripping black coagulated blood from the tip right between his eyes. The dyre wold shook his head and stepped out of the way as Kyra took her blade and ran it down the side of her pants. It wasn't clean but it was enough to keep it from dripping. She wasn't about to sheath it. For all she knew what they had just killed would just come back again. Better not to take any chances at this point.

The remaining suit of armor jolted slightly as it was grabbed, the blade piercing the weak spot in the armor. It made no noise other than to seemingly growl and reach for Nor with its hand. (Side that isn't getting stabbed.) He has no luck though trying to get it up and around and to Nors neck but manages to get a hold of a handful of hair and tries to pull Nor in as the face place falls off. A dead villager it looks like, who is now trying to make a snack out of Nor. Thing is the creature isn't near strong enough to and is getting weaker by the second. This really is just such a horrible attempt it is nearly laughable. Like when a parent puts their hand on their 5 years olds head while the kid is trying to take a swing.

And with that another round ends and subsequently begins.

Kyra

Location: The Tower
Interacting With: Ash
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Kyra hears the growling and looked over to watch the scene unfold. Chuckling a bit, Kyra just shook her head. "I think he's got it," she said in passing to Ash as she walked out of the corner she was in and look a closer look at the others. Seemed that Thomas and Satilla were staying near Nor but really not doing anything. That was probably the best thing they could do for the whole situation. They weren't fighters, not in the traditional sense and considering how quickly they were wrapping things up on the first floor no need for them to waste any energy.

Stepping to the front of the spiral stair case she looked up a bit. She could see light flickering above on the next floor but couldn't hear anything. They had to keep moving up at this point. Something was obviously going on here and they needed to take care of it. Hopefully whatever was up there was as easy to dispatch as what they had just dealt with. She doubted it though. With what they had dealt with in the woods, this was just too easy.

"Come on, let's move," she said as her foot hit the bottom step. It wasn't that she was for leaving Nor behind but it was obvious the dwarf had this under control and even if he didn't, even if Satilla and Thomas couldn't help if he needed it. There was a fucking bear. Four people for 1 half dead undead. They had this.

Sana

Location: The Tower
Interacting With: Keystone
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Sana let out a long breath as she finally lowered her bow. Her head whipping around to see that things were getting taken care of. Her free hand fell to her side quiver, about to draw another arrow but she stopped and let it just rest there as she heard Keystone. Turning around she nodded as she lifted her hand from her quiver and wiped off her face with the back of her sleeve. "Other than needing a bath in ammonia at this point, I'm just peachy," she said as she caught the sight of Kyra in her line of sight as her white haired friend made her way to the stairs.

As Kyra suggested they go ahead and move she nodded a bit. Seemed like a sound enough idea. Turning she rested her hand back down on her quiver and drew an arrow. Nocking it into place she stepped backwards until she was at the base of the stairs next to Kyra. Ash padded past them and up the stairs a few. Sana was drawing her arrow back a bit. Just in case as she looked over towards Keystone but was keeping an eye out on Nor just in case. "Go on, I'll cover until we get the rest on the stairs," she said to Keystone.

Keystone

Location: Deymins Tower
Interacting With: Sana, Kyra

Heeding Sana's words about bathing in ammonia, Keystone responded with an affirming grunt. Looking around the area, he noted with grim satisfaction that the group had quite effectively managed to bludgeon, stab, or otherwise manhandle their opposition into inanimate submission. With one exception, but its unlife was drawing to an unceremonious close so long as the quartet of people (and bear) around it didn't all accidentally slip on the same random orange peel and impale themselves on each other's weapons, resulting in one of Keystone's more diligent concerns: The death of his group. Again. But so far as checking on Sana - The dead guys were dead, she was not; they weren't moving, she was. Overtly, that was the entirety of his reason for approaching. In reality, his more protective instincts were showing themselves.

When Sana suggested that he make for the stairs, her body language implying that she had the remainder of the room (including Nor's pet dead guy) under the watchful attention of her bow, Keystone responded with a grim, "Yeah, on it." and moved to join Kyra on the stairs. As he arrived, he voiced a suggestion of his own to the platinum haired Ranger. "You might ought let me in front, play meatshield for a bit, yeah?" If nothing else, the burly pugilist was fairly certain that Kyra wouldn't mind using him as a mobile bulwark, taking the first hit if necessary. "Don't you worry. I'll try to keep the arse vapors to m'self."

Few things made Satilla happier than a plan well done, combat well finished and everyone being alive an well at the end of it all. The last enemy was doing some final pitiful struggling with Nor, but that appeared more or less dealt with. Kyra was pushing them to continue onwars and the witch felt she had to oblige and follow. After all, the healer shouldn't be too far from the defacto leader of this merry group. Nor should have this and it looked like Sana was keeping an eye on it too.

"Alright, think that I'm ready to continue too." The witch stated, heading towars the staircase too." I really hope there's not a secret trapdoor or something we miss here and get trapped upstairs or something... That would be bad." She added quietly. It would be about as bad as being corned in a cave with a big wall of ice to protect themselves and lots of exploding undead charging.

The first thing that registered was that the damned thing didn't die from the first stab, which was expected. When go hilt-deep in a body there's generally a 50/50 chance that they just drop immediately, otherwise they keep going. With undead that balance shifted even further towards not going down immediately. The next thing that registered was that it had grabbed his hair, what little there was to grab. Well no matter, they were going to the same place within the next instant. Nor yanked his knife from the body of the undead and with a heave moved the undead from upright but off-balance to lying face up on the ground.

Nor planted his palm squarely on the chest and raised the knife high up, switching the grip to the so-called ice pick style. These buggers had a habit of not staying down the first time, so he did his best to make sure that wouldn't be a viable option. The first stab went to the windpipe. Then one for each eye. Then behind the clavicle. Then a few under the chin for good measure. After the first stab he felt any remaining resistance disappear, but his goal was complete incapacitation.

Now sufficiently bloodied, the dwarf rose from his kneeling position, and looked around at the rest of the group twirling his blade idly between grips.

"No use waitin' around on me, aye? Let's get movin'." His word said, the barber trotted along to the base of the staircase.

As the last set of armor drops, it seems that everything on the first floor is taken care of. Kyra nods a bit at Keystone before moving out of the way and letting him take point. Well as much as Ash will allow him. The large dyrewolf bounding up the stairs and growling as he goes. Sana stays in her place until the rest of the group is on the stairs and she takes up the rear to keep an eye out in case anything decides to live again.

The group makes it to the second floor and exits from the spiral stair case Kyra looks around. They could have kept going up it seems from the way the stairs(2) are but Ash has exited and is near a door(4) in front of the stairs sniffing. The room looks very similar to the first floor but there are some major differences. The first of course being the large door and wall that seems to divide the room in half. There is another door (3) over to the side along the wall.

Coming up and being the last off the stair case Sana moves over to the side some and her lips thin as she hears a low growl that is coming from being her instead of from the wolf far in front of her. Turning her head slowly she spots one(A1) of two sets of armor that are poised in the corners on either side of the stairs. The other(A2) closest to Cyne. Seems the group has work to do before they can find out why Ash is pawing at the door.

We have begun fight two. There are two sets of armor in sight at this point. The armor is aware of them and have made themselves known to the group. Initiative has begun. Rotation beings... Just posting the full rotation now to speed things up. So keep an eye out who has gone and when your turn is. PM me for rolls if you are going to have actions.

Thomas Richard Harrison

Location: Level 2 (The Tower floor, not character level).
Interacting with: Scooby Doo Gang (It's the direwolf, not sure about the bear) & A2?

"You and me both Satilla."

Well despite beginning with utter failure, and a rather nauseating case of vomiting due to malingering malodorous malice, everything thus far had been quite fortunate. They hadn't taken as much as scratch on them from these clunky undead tin cans. Wandering up the stairwell was easy enough with their scouts having lead the vanguard, and Sana taking the sentry. A narrow pass would normally be ill-advised, but seeing how their fighters had covered both points, it was safe enough for the party casters to advance forward. Although Murphy's Law would suggest they were doomed for failure at any point along their trek. Yet it seems the necromancer had given them every suspicion required to believe they were on the right track in investigating this tower of armored undead. But then again a secret trapdoor switch or something could mean they would be have to keep climbing like the nautilus' spiralling chambers.

"I've got one!" Not to be caught disappointed, there were awaiting their ascent, two spooked armors ready to start attacking. And yet, given the results of the last round these enemies seemed rather... Lacking? At this point Thomas' excitement could have done more damage to his spellcasting concentration as the young sorcerer was overly eager to contribute to the destruction of the armors. His finger pointed at a spot just above the armor against the wall to his right, with the flair and gusto of rash youth just looking past Sana. Sure the cost of the spell may leave him a bit less than ready for combat, but there were only two armors, and a bunch of adventurers. That and Satilla had Thomas' back and could guide him by should he fail to readily steady himself. Such bravado and faith, foolish to some degree as an unfocused spell could readily backfire and instead rebound, frying the entire group instead or some other catastrophically embarrassing moment like the episode of regurgitation outside. It was never a wise move to go rush into magic, and yet here was Thomas, finger pointed dropping down the hammer on a would be attacker.

A searing radiance of the sun, dropped down from the ceiling in a pillar of pure light. Bathed in the light, the armored zombie must have roasted from the inside. Light disintegrating flesh into ashes, turning the armor into something shy of a oven with the roasting remains still sizzling and smoldering away at the last of the light fading into the sealing zone of sunlight that lingered as a ward. Fortunately for the armored zombie however, the secondary effect of the spells would be unnecessary as it readily slumped down and the metal helmet fell against the second floor (or the British first floor).

"Did I get'em?" Thomas managed to comment out before closing his eyes a bit from the rebounding stupor. This was always the worst part of the spell, being unable to react appropriately for a few seconds until the blood flow returned to normal and the magic energy step back down from overloading his mind with visions of bright light. Rather disorienting, but they have at least now seen both the light and dark of Thomas' spells. Maybe they'd get to see a few more, but Thomas really didn't count of using the three greater cyclic spells he had, they had awfully long recovery times to gain the level of cosmic energy required to cast them. Plus they shifted his phases, and next after sun would have been... Bashful Moon.

Cyne

Location: Tower
Interacting with:A2

The real tricky part about traversing the tower was figuring out how to climb the stairs as a bear. The paws were too big to fit on the steps properly and claws got in the way; however, black bears were natural climbers and with some brain racking, she made her way to the top without taking too much time to do so. Oh yeah, and there were also more animated armors waiting for them at the top: right next to her in fact was one.

Cyne completely expected there to be something much scarier further in. The last battle went similarly as this one, starting out with simple foes, and then suddenly exploding skeletons everywhere and then that weird blood mist thing. This was likely the necromancer's house so she didn't expect that again, but certainly something far more deadly yet to be seen.

The bear galloped forward and swung at the armor with its large paw, forcing it to take a few steps back, bearly able to keep itself upright. That it even managed that much was pretty impressive. Many people wouldn't be able to remain moving after taking a direct blow from a bear. That said, she fully expected it to be finished off by the next person to make a move, probably Keystone.
