Jenna Westbrook

Location: Outside Town Hall --> the Voodoo Shop

Jenna let out a small sigh of relief. No one seemed to have noticed her. Pulling out her phone, she saw a few unanswered texts. She wasn't going to be able to beat them to the mine at this rate, so she thought through her options. She could just not respond, but that may worry them. Another option would be to send a text that looked like it had been cut off, as if she had been fleeing quickly and hadn't had time to send it. Telling them the truth was out of the question. Tapping her fingers up against her phone, Jenna finally decided on a text to send Fin.

To Finn and Dec:

I don't see you guys... -J
Yeah, it was a bit of a cop out. But Jenna wasn't too interested in creating a gigantic web of lies, not just yet at least. She preferred the smaller, easier to manage web. She'd just keep on sending little texts until she either met up with them at the mine or they got irritated with her and left. At any rate, she shoved her phone away and made her way quickly across town on foot, eventually making it all the way to the shop.

Right on schedule, she saw Mayor Ryder outside. Perfect. Smirking a bit, Jenna headed into the shop, hoping that there'd be some answers.

As Olivia talked to her and teased her about her time with Josh, she clicked her tongue to Sadie who gladly followed at her side, walking away from the group. As she went to pass her friend, she smacked Olivia in the arm with the back of her hand as if to say 'SHUT.
UP!
' before turning around but continuing to walk backward slowly, "Well, Daphne and Sadie are going this way. Whatever the rest of the Mystery Gang wants to do, that's up to them."

She gave a small smirk, and looked at Josh longingly a moment before turning back around to walk forward with her dog, hoping maybe he would choose to walk with her along the shore of the lake. She eyed Abe's car from the corner, thinking to herself with a soft growl accompanying it, 'Long as Pops stays out of the way.'

Location: Traveling to Red Mountain // Abandoned Silver Mine
Interactions: Finley { @FantasyChic } ; Gwen (Jenna) { @Morose }

Declan laughed even harder, causing his already dry throat to get even drier.. finally producing a couple of harsh coughs. "Oh don't tell me you're a poor sport, now, Finn." he smirked at her 'animal' comment, raising an eyebrow as he muttered just loud enough for her to hear. "Oh, I can be." Declan bit back a chuckle, having meant it in a more sexual manner, but he'd suddenly realized he just answered a question he'd never been asked by anyone other than his cousin.

They both were taking a look around, and it came to Declan's attention that he could use more than just his keen eyesight to locate Gwen. Declan took a deep inhale of the air around him, chills running down his spine at the scent of the silver. He knew they were traveling to it, but to get closer might prove difficult. The thought of waiting for Gwen way down here was quite inviting, but he couldn't do that to his friend. If she actually was here, he wasn't about to leave her. Besides the scent of silver, though, all he was picking up was trees, dirt and other animals of the forest.

"Don't ask me why, because I couldn't even begin to explain.. but, I don't think she's actually here, Finn." On a whim, Declan pulled out his phone and saw the text from Gwen, raising an eyebrow before typing out a reply message.

Yeah.............we don't see you either, Gwen. So, where are you? Really.

Clifford Norman ~Red~

Clifford watched the others walk about and a rather risky idea popped into his head. Why not speed things along by giving them a more attuned nose. He lightly kissed leo's neck and gave a rather boyish grin. "I had an idea. Ill be right back...remember....Red" Hoping that would help his boyfriend remember the shudder dog name he had given himself for when he wore the collar and needed to shift. He lightly went off into the woods. His nodding self a bit faster then what would be considered normal, but he was determined.

Once out of sight of the entire group and the car that belonged to Abraham he tossed his things off and snapped the purple collar into place. A grumble emitting from him as he did so. In moments he had stripped and was shifting. The process was forced to go faster, resulting in a lot more pain then usual, but he was able to keep quiet until he was fully shifted. He took a minute to rotate each paw, flick his ears and stretch making sure each new part of himself was in working condition. That done he nosed his things to be more concealed in a bush. He shook at his fur and grumbled at the itchy feel of the collar.

Cliff put his nose in the air and sniffed before trotting off to find the group. Large ears pricked forward as he walked toward Olivia and the rest. Once spotted he gave a light whistle then a small bark before giving a friendly tail wag. His dhole wolf shape was clearly extremely more friendly and social then his human self. At least this shape was easier to pass off as a mutt of a dog then any other wolf shape. Blue grey eyes holding intelligence, but could be passed off as husky.

@FantasyChic@Infamous Auror If they looked closer at the mine it looked like some parts could easily just crumble and cave in, as they stood there both Finley and Declan would start to hear some voices. Then from another trail they would see a group of five hunters some of them carrying some game, a few rabbits, a couple of birds as well as a tackle box what smelled like a bunch of fish. They carried what looked like hunting rifles as well as some fishing gear to, they weren't really from town either and they seemed to be pretty lost. One of them turned to look at Finley and Declan. "Hey you kids, happen to know where town is by any chance also a good place to eat as well?" One of them asked and what appeared to be an older man with graying and balding hair. One of them looked like a middle aged man, and then two of them appeared to be close to Finley and Declan's age.

@Morose When Jenna walked into the shop, it had a very awful moldy smell on the shelves everywhere there looked to be somethings that were from antique stores. There were also a few weirder things such as a couple of human skeletons that looked like they belonged to a high school health classroom. Then at the counter towards the back of the store was a red haired woman, she was known to everyone as Ms. Halsey, she seemed to be muttering something to herself as she started searching around for something behind the counter and on the floor. The woman was known to act very weird and acentric at times, sometimes people thought that she was a witch or something. Then she perked up and noticed Jenna coming into the store and smiled as she left behind the counter. "Ah hello there young one! What can I do for you today?" She asked as she looked Jenna up and down to get a look at her.

@BlueSky44 James looked down at Allie for a moment giving the dog a gentle and loving pet before looking up at Lydia and gave her a slight shrug. He really didn't have much to do today, and looking at the old house seemed to be fine enough. "I don't mind, please lead the way." James said giving Lydia a friendly smile, as he took a quick look at the letter and started to walk along the main road out of town. They would make it there with no real problems, as they got to the old and creepy looking house, James stood there for a moment and then looked over at Lydia for a moment. "You sure this is the right place, it looks like it hasn't been used in a really long ass time." James said.

@Dragoknighte Jeanna seems to be headed over to her room to grab something, she wasn't there for that long and quickly started to head out of the room. Seemed like she was heading out again as well, the drive over towards the lake wouldn't be any problem at all once Harry had gotten there he would see that Olivia and the others have been there for awhile as well. Harry would also notice Abe's car there as well, but it seems that he wasn't among the group either.

Abraham looked towards Kosara as she mentioned a case of hers back in the Balkans, he had seen his own fair share of werewolf attacks as well. "I've had some cases back when I was in my prime something similar to that as you mentioned. They usually do that to try and get more numbers, hunters tend to try and go for an entire pack." Abraham said as he turned back and started to continue to try and pick up another trail or something that belonged to Riley. Abraham looked towards his niece once more when she mentioned finding the girl infected that they would have to kill her.

"Yeah I know, if she got bit we need to put her down right away." Abraham said, the only thing he really did hate about his job was that if they were young people that had been attacked they would end up having to be put down. He certainly had to do that a number of times in the past, as they walked Abe the stopped for a moment and saw what looked like a torn piece of clothing on the ground near a bush. Kneeling down he picked it up and inspected it, it looked like it was about a week old around the time Riley had disappeared.

Olivia looked towards Taylor she couldn't help but just smirk and let out a soft laugh, she always did truly enjoy getting under her friends skin about their love life. "I did nothing." Olivia said teasingly as she looked towards the others there, then she raised an eyebrow when she noticed Clifford running off to the woods. She was tempted to go and run after him and tell him to stick together, she really didn't want anyone to go off alone. She was responsible for everyone here as well.

Then she noticed what looked like a red dog coming out from the woods, she raised an eyebrow, as she started to wonder where Cliff had ran off to. Then she started to remember Taylor had mentioned another wolf, looking at the red dog for a few moments, noticing the purple collar around it's neck. It was probably nothing as Olivia approached Clifford she kneeled down to gently pet him, though she didn't know that it was actually Clifford. Her attention then turned to everyone that was there, rubbing the back of her neck for a moment she didn't want to see everyone else run off. "Alright so everyone we are going to stick close together, I say we sweep through the northern end of the lake first, then make our way east of the lake after that as well."

Joey snickered at Taylor's comment and took her smirk as his queue to join her. He couldn't tell if Liv's coy words earlier held any truth, but hell if he didn't take them as a boost to his confidence. Suddenly, he was in a great mood, and that coupled with is high; maybe cloud nine actually severed as an accurate descriptor.

With confidence and high clouding better judgement, he sauntered up next to Taylor after gaining some distance from the group. "You think you can handle this mystery being as high as cloud 9?" he jibbed.

At the lakefront he didn't really pay Abraham's car much mind; there were people at the lake constantly. He didn't know who the car belonged to, so the fact that there was more than one car didn't strike him as unusual. If he were to start snooping through every car he happened to come across, not only would he have no time, he'd probably end up being arrested by rightfully concerned car owners.

Now the group of teenagers he came across, that was a different story. He didn't know why they were here, or even if they knew Riley, but they seemed like a good target for something of a stake-out. He tried to position himself far enough away from them that they wouldn't pay attention, but still within earshot. He wouldn't look at them, but try to look him he was busy with a business call (phone held between his shoulder and his ear so his hands would remain free). And he would just listen. Listen and take notes. See what he could learn just from paying attention. He could ask them about Riley later.

Finley Alestair

Location: Silver Mine

Finley let the animal comment go, although she really wanted to explore it at a later time. Instead, she looked around after reading her message from Jenna. Declan seemed convinced that Jenna wasn't even here. Though she had no way of understanding of how he would know such a thing, she had to agree with him. Surely Jenna wouldn't lie to them. For what purpose? Declan sent a message to her and she let him do so.

Before the two of them could progress, a group of hunters came around. It was odd they would be anywhere near the silver mine, but they apparently got what they wanted if the animal carcasses were any indication. "If you are looking for good places to eat, you may want to find a bus out of town. Or fry up any of those animals you got with you. You would get much the same result." Finley let it die out a bit, before she sighed. "Go down that path and you'll find the town soon enough. There are a few restaurants around. They all are the same more or less."

Yeah it wasn't looking pretty. Chances were they had to put down Riley if she was infected otherwise who knew what would happen. Sadly it was such and no amount of good wishes could heal a werewolf infection. She had done some searching for it and frankly nothing existed in proper legends or myths or hunter archives she had ever managed to access. Sure mass media and the fantasy fictions did give a lot of 'cures' but those were just that a fiction. She realized how weird it was to have to divide supernatural things on fiction and reality.

“Not good...”Kosara said as Abe found the scrap of cloth.

“Seems we've stumbled upon the right track...” She said, her eyes examining the surroundings for any traces that could still be present such as broken plant branches or anything like that which could point someone was chased through here." I was thinking I should try browsing my notes for a searching spell... Magic does have it's uses if you manage to get the ingredients for the rituals that is."

Jenna Westbrook

Location: the Voodoo Shop

Jenna took one whiff of the store and nearly gagged a little bit. The odor was almost overpowering and she was tempted to plug her nose, but that wasn't going to do her any favors with whoever was around. She needed them to explain just exactly what Mayor Ryder had been trying to do. She didn't have too much of a plan yet, but she figured that once she understood how he died and who caused it, she could offer a non-paranormal explanation to give to the police. It'd be a lie, but at least the right person would be behind bars at the end of the day.

Her phone buzzed and Jenna's heart skipped a beat. It should've taken them a little more time to figure out she wasn't actually at the Silver Mine, right? Or maybe the pair of them had gotten lazy and just not looked hard enough. Biting the side of her lip, Jenna tapped out a reply, only furthering the amount of lies she was telling Finn and Dec. But the lies were preferable to the truth, she felt.

To Finn and Dec:

I'm inside the mine. Coming out now. -J

Dec and Finn would be smart, right? They'd realize that she hadn't come out of the mine (obviously) and hopefully they'd just assume she was farther in than they expected. If they did decide to go into the mine, she figured that Finn had enough brains to keep the two of them from getting seriously injured. And if everything worked out properly, she might even be able to meet them at the mine after all.

"Are you legit?" Jenna asked plainly. "I know you tell all of your customers that you are, but I need to know. A ghost showed me a book of rituals and I need help understanding them."

Lydia Weaver

Location: Creepy House
Interacting With: James Tanner

Lydia was glad that James was still willing to stick around with her. Then again, he had accompanied her to the clinic, so he wasn't all that bad. He also had helped her out in general up until her leg was stitched up. She held the little kitten in her arms, and nodded to James as they went on their way. The trip wasn't too terribly long, but Lydia was getting a little nervous, but everything was going to be fine, what's the worst that could happen.

When they reached the house, she looked at it, and looked back at the envelope, looking at the address again. According to the letter, this was the place, but it didn't look like much to her. It was eerie, and really creepy looking. "Positive, well, since we're here, we might as well look around. At least we should knock on the door to see if anyone is home, even though I seriously doubt it".

Location: Red Lake
Interactions: Jo-Vaughn { @LokiLeo789 } & Sadie

Taylor smiled when she heard Josh's approaching footsteps, peeking over her shoulder slightly to see him coming up beside her. She offered him a shy, friendly grin before turning her attention back in front of her as she walked along the shore with him and her dog. Sadie looked like she wanted to be let loose, which only made Taylor smile a little more. She nodded her head once and told her dog, 'okay', to which Sadie immediately bolted off, running through the water ahead of them. Josh's question forced a bright red blush to come to her cheeks, thinking of what Olivia had meant when she mentioned being on Cloud Nine. Taylor brushed her hair behind her ear and looked over at Josh.

"Long as you're with me, I think I'll manage." That made her turn into a tomato. Luckily for her, she managed to turn her gaze elsewhere before doing so. As if to correct herself, she immediately added, "I-I mean, you know. On Cloud 9. Long as we're both there, I'll be fine."

Taylor looked behind them and watched Olivia petting a dark red dog and raised an eyebrow slightly, thinking to herself, 'I knew it!! ...but why go to the effort of pretending to be a dog?' She eyed Cliff in his dole wolf form, slightly frowning. Part of her wanted to corner him later and ask if he was the one who'd done it all, but just looking at his wolf form.. it didn't seem capable of taking on a full-grown man, or dragging a teenage girl off into the woods. Taylor shook the thoughts from her head and turned back to Josh, stepping a bit closer to him, nudging him with her shoulder playfully.

"You sure you can handle being out here? What if I'm the wolf of Red Lake, and this was my plan to get you out here, all along.. so I could take you, too?" She giggled lightly.

Location: Red Mountain // Abandoned Silver Mine
Interactions: Finley { @FantasyChic } ; Hunters { @Nallore }

Declan took a look at his phone as it vibrated, checking the message from Gwen. He narrowed his eyes at the screen and decided not to reply back, just returning his phone back to his pocket without another word. He looked up at the entrance of the mine and studied it for a moment, contemplating on whether or not to go in. It'd be a quick check, so he wouldn't have to suffer around the presence of the silver for long, but would it be worth it if Gwen wasn't even inside? Not really. A voice from off to the side startled Declan, causing him to take a step back closer to Finley with his arm halfway stretched out in a protective manner. He wasn't sure if he'd let a growl out (he did), or not, but his lip and nose were curled up into a snarl. As soon as he saw it was hunters, he quickly turned his curled lip into a grin.

"Ho, fellas." ("Ho" is just another way Declan says "hi")

The man who spoke up in the group made eye contact with the two of them as they moved closer, Declan's smile faltered just slightly at the name 'kids'. He simply shrugged it off, though and began to answer the man before Finley spoke up first. He nodded in agreement with what she offered the men for directions and food choices, smirking slightly at her sarcasm.

"I have to agree. There's quite a number of places to eat. If y'all plan on spending the night, try the cafe in the morn'. Best bacon and eggs this side of the county!"

As he was talking, Declan realized he hadn't heard the hunters coming down the mountain. Was the silver effecting him so bad that his senses were being thrown off? What if his sense of smell was out of whack as well, and Gwen actually was here? Suddenly Declan felt a bit down, but just as soon as he did, it was gone. Another thought bringing up a solid point.

She never denied that she wasn't there when he accused her of lying about it. She'd completely ignored his previous text and sent another. Was she hoping he'd just put it behind him and be okay with it all? No. He'd make it a point to confront her about it later. What was she really doing, then, if not here and lying to her friends? Hmm.

Clifford Norman~Red

Clifford tilted his head as Olivia pet him. He was not sure how to fully feel about that, but he was not going to stop her. As soon as she moved away however, he stood and trotted off. He nudged by leo as if expecting the witch to go with him, wanting to explore without quite so many people. If he was going to search he did not want other smells to mess up his nose.

After getting a few feet, Cliff stopped and scratched at his collar hating the itchy feel that it had on his neck. Being in his wolf shape did affect his thinking a bit sometimes and he was not entirely thinking about the bad idea of separating from the group. He was only thinking about searching on his own with his favorite person. In a moment it did hit him which resulted in making sure that he wasn't right in the group, but he was not so far that they would be entirely separated should Leo decide to walk with him.

As Cliff walked, his black dipped tail waved back and forth. He was in full search with fun on the side mode. He was after all in his much more social wolf shape, so why not at this point.

@FantasyChic@Infamous Auror The oldest hunter looked at Finley for a moment, he was taken aback slightly from the girl's sudden sarcastic demeanor. "Spunk I like that." He said with a slight laugh, but the group was grateful regardless for their advice on where to go and eat and then leave. "Thank you, you two be careful now with that murder and the girl going missing." The group waved goodbye to both Declan and Finley as they started to head down towards the trail that Finley and Declan had just came from after leaving the town hall. One thing that was slightly off however from Jenna's text was that if you were within the mine itself you wouldn't have any reception at all with whatsoever. But then again she could actually be inside the mine if the two of you do decide to go, but it would make Declan even weaker then he was now if he entered the mine.

@Morose Miss Halsey looked towards Jenna for a moment as she mentioned a ghost, though it didn't really surprise her that much. "Of course i'm legit." She said sounding offended, then she started to wonder what it was exactly that Jenna had seen what the mayor had gotten his hands onto. "Do you happen to have any of it, or any kind of picture. It would certainly help knowing what it exactly is." The elderly woman said as she started to make her way towards one of the shelves, where it had a bunch of dusty old books of all kinds to find some summoning books that she had on hand.

@BlueSky44 "I don't really think that anyone has been living here in years." James said as he started to walk closer towards the house and looked into one of the windows that were there. Inside it looked like the whole place was full of dust and cobwebs, yep no one appeared to have been here for a very, very long time. He looked towards Lydia and the now sleeping kitten that was curled up in her arms then towards Allie. "I guess we should go in and look inside shall we?" James asked as he moved towards the door, and was surprisingly locked at least the front door was. "Maybe we could try the back instead?" He suggested.

@LadyRunic It was a little bit after one in the afternoon Alice had moved in about a week ago, there was a knock on her door, when Alice opened it was one of her next door neighbors. It was an elderly woman she gave her a soft and friendly smile as she held a wrapped up container inside contained some cake. "Hey there, even though it has been a week we just wanted to welcome you to our quaint little town." She said, behind her looked like to be a small five year old most likely her grandson. Alice would have also heard some of the news about the girl who had gone missing a week ago and the morning if she had the news playing or if she was out and about earlier the press conference in front of town hall.

Abraham looked towards his niece and gave her a slight nod, it didn't mean that she was alive or dead just yet, it could also mean that she is infected as well. "She could still be alive, but not ruling out that shes isn't either." Abraham said as he took the scrap of cloth and stuffed it into his pocket. He looked towards her for a moment as she mentioned about using some kind of tracking spell to hopefully find her.

"If she isn't warded then that could be helpful." Abe said, though he wasn't sure if it would even work or not spells were useful as Abe slowly got back up to his feet again and continued to following along the trail his eyes carefully scanning around to try and find any other trace as to where the girl's whereabouts were at.

Olivia looked over at Leo and then at the strange dog she assumed was Clifford as he tried to nudge him off to follow him, her attention then went towards Taylor as well as Joey. She couldn't help but smirk seeing the two love birds getting along pretty well, Olivia tried to imitate doing a kissy face towards Taylor and Joey as she let Sadie bolt off down the shoreline of the lake. It seemed that the dog was having a blast with running along the sandy like dirt. "Why don't the two of you get a room." Olivia said jokingly towards her friends as she crossed her arms over her shoulder.

Harry wouldn't be seen by the others, but he was in earshot of what the others were talking about, he could go out and introduce himself to the others and ask a few questions. But if he decided to wait a little bit and talk to them separately they may or may not think he would be suspicious. Leo was about to go after Clifford, as he wanted to be close to him, when Olivia called out towards Leo. "Hey we should all stick together that way we can make sure that nothing happens." Olivia said looking over towards Clifford, raising an eyebrow at the red dog.

Leo looked towards Clifford and gave a nod as he looked at Clifford, he noticed that the collar was making him uncomfortable as he knelt down and helped to adjust it around his neck to make it comfortable for his boyfriend. "She does have a point." Leo whispered into Clifford's ear, he just wanted to make sure that his boyfriend was alright as well.

Spunk. Huh...first time an adult actually said they liked her for giving them attitude. She didn't quite know how to feel about that. Still, the hunters were off to who cares where. Now they had more pressing concerns. She read the text from Jenna who was clearly NOT coming out of the mine. So where the hell was she?

"I don't know about you Dec, but I have a feeling Jenna isn't here and she's lying to us. If she had other pressing matters, that's one thing. Wouldn't care about that. But lying? I don't tolerate that. Up to you if you want to check the mine out, but I doubt she's inside. What do you want to do now?"

She wanted to go look at that video, but she didn't want Declan to be uncomfortable with his asthma again. She would see about going it alone later. She really wanted to tell her friends about her vision, but if Jenna wasn't going to want to be a part of that, it was her own fault for lying to her.

A lot of nothing to go on so far, but that was alright. You learn real quick in law enforcement that a stake-out is 99% boredom, 1% useful information. So he'd wait longer and occasionally glance over in their direction to make sure they were in the same place. From the sound of it, they might be about to relocate. Wouldn't want to end up alone on the lake front.

Idly, he still wrote down what they had said in abbreviated form if for no reason but simply posterity and as fuel for a quick down and dirty psych profile:
  • I can handle Cloud Nine if you're with me. (sexual tension)
  • I could be the Wolf of Red Lake (joke)
  • Get a room (different speaker)
  • We should stick together.
All very interesting stuff that would no doubt be vital to his solving the case of where the hell Riley('s body) is. All he could do was hope that he could get something eventually before they ended up dispersing to go off and do whatever it is that high school teenagers did these days. Which was probably what they did back then: smoke weed and hook up behind their parents' backs.

Josh chuckled. "Then I won't leave your side, madam." he said with a flourish.

Internally, he did a double-take. Whether or not Taylor meant what she had said, still was nice hear. Her blush certainly hadn't escaped his notice as well.

Taylor's nudge brought him back to reality. He shrugged and flashed her a grin. "I wouldn't mind being taken if it's by you. Although, lemme warn you, I don't taste to good, weed smoke ruins the flavor."

He glanced back at a fast approaching Olivia. Josh discretely noted the exchange between the boy and a red dog, maybe his red dog? He hadn't noticed the thing until now, but he found it rather odd that Sadie hadn't immediately introduced herself the moment they arrived. Why was that? The boy had been here when they had arrived, that he was sure of.

Jo shrugged. Maybe he had the dog locked away until now, he likely had his reasons.

"We could get a room, but then who'd be left of the Mystery Gang?"

An idea formed in his head, on that earlier seemed unlikely but now seemed plausible.

He turned to Olivia. "speaking of mystery, Liv, how's the nose on that dog?" he nodded towards crimson canine.

“There are way to breach the wards...” Kosara stated as she followed Abe.” I learned a thing or two while hunting... witches of the bad kind.” She stated. Magic was very useful multifunctional tool that could be used in variety of ways and she had learned a decent amount now. Thinking about it, it was a decent field of study.

“Besides putting out a searching ward requires a very specific set of knowledge. There are different kinds against different searches. Reminds me I should probably set an anti-curse one at home. Just in case...” Hunters by nature were very cautious( near paranoid) creatures. Taking precautions was a must if they wanted to survive and given the situation where something huge was at foot, caution was a must... if not paranoia.

“If only we had trusted... ones we could contact here. Supernaturals usually have some kind of info one way or another.”

Lydia Weaver

Location: Creepy House
Interacting With: James Tanner

The front door was locked, well to her that was definitely weird. Why would an abandoned looking house have the front door shut up tight? There had to be an explanation for this, maybe someone hadn't gotten around to doing repairs on the house for the past 50 years or something, and that someone wasn't home and didn't want anyone to barge into their creepy looking house.

Though, since clearly no one answered, and she was kind of curious about what the letter was about, she looked over at James. "Yeah, we might wanna check, jus' to make sure. Though no one seems to 'ave lived here for years. Maybe we can find some answers inside," she said as she went around the front to see if there was a back door. Hopefully once they got inside they could find some answers about the mysterious letter addressed to the dead mayor.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: the Voodoo Shop

Jenna noticed that Miss Halsey seemed to be a bit offended, but she didn't really care. She was focused on her self assigned mission at hand: solving the murder of Mayor Ryder. While she normally did these sort of things with Finn, this time was an exception. She couldn't tell practically anyone that she could see ghosts. Miss Halsey was a safe choice - she already believed in the supernatural. Other people would simply dismiss Jenna as crazy.

"I have it with me, actually," Jenna said, before unzipping her bag and pulling out the old book. While it was most likely evidence, she doubted that the police would be able to do much with it. They wouldn't consider paranormal causes for Mayor Ryder's death. Jenna then set the book down on the counter. "So do you know what it is, then?"

Alice Lynche

Location Her Cottage

Alice blinked at the knock at her door, knocked from her slight daydream of a potential line of fall dresses. Glancing at the door, she stood up brushing the dusty scraps of fabric and thread from her dark green skirt. It was one of her own design, though not one of her best. A deep green skirt which fell to just below her knees; that was embroidered with falling golden, orange, and red-brown leaves. Dark black leggings to stave off the autumn chill. Though compared to England's tendency to rain, it was more fashion and less necessary. A black blouse with deep bronze buttons shaped like acorns at her cuffs. Complete with a set of MaryJanes- if she was going out. Which Alice hoped was not the case. She had work to do! If only to get out of this town. A sad fact about the murder. She could wait it out or wait to flee. But either way- that door still needed answering.

Skipping about several mannequins that were set about her living room, she reached the door to open it. The eldery woman and her apparent grandson come to welcome her. Well it was right on time of that. Enough that her house was in something of order, or perhaps not she noted as she looked at the bathmat that was serving as a entry way welcome mat. She'd have to find where the actual welcome mat went! Blushing slightly as she took the cake in it's contain, she gave the woman a apologetic smile. "Thank you very much, I'm Alice Lynche." Her voice was a soft and warm sound. Tiny to match it's tiny owner. But there also was the thick British accent that decorated it. "Would you like to come in? I'm a bit of a mess. But I do have some tea and biscuts in the parlor." She offered. It was rude to leave talk in the street, especially with the elderly. On top of that- who didn't like a spot of proper tea? Something she found lacking in this town, but she wasn't above ordering it in from out of town- or country for that matter.
