He pondered her words briefly. He closed his eyes and nodded his head. "Ok, I understand. I trust you." He paused. "But only if you promise we all get to come home together." A look of both sadness and hope struck his face at the same time.

As Penny bat his hand away, he gripped her wrist, staring into her eyes. "All the more reason to keep watching over them Penny. Does a mother stop looking out for her children once they leave the nest? No. Family is for life, no matter how long or short it may be." He was taken a back by her words about her immortality. He had only heard of two people ever struck with similar curses. The black wizard Zeref Dragneel, and Fairy Tail founder Mavis Vermilion. If anyone were to know something about it, it would be Budo. He knew more about every different kind of magic than most of the Guild masters in Fiore combined. Wither might have had some that knowledge passed down to her already. He sighed, shaking his head. "Our paths will cross again, Penny. I promise you that. And when that time comes, perhaps everything will become clearer." Her wrist in his hand, he pulled himself beside her placing an arm around her. Repeating his words, "Stranger to stranger, you aren't alone. You could ask anyone to end it for you, but you haven't, and you wont. You love your family too much, and they love you Penny."
He brushed himself off, standing up. "I may know someone who could help you. When I return from Tenrou, I will find you, and we can talk more, as friends." He smiled, as a tuned was played nearby. He glanced back at Penny before turning away. "I think that might be for you." He chuckled as he walked away to rejoin the Tenrou group.
