Weight

(99kg)
Height

(201cm)
Appearance
Al is a massive individual that towers over most and has a rather broad and bulky body build. He has dark caramel colored skin that is covered in a series of miscellaneous scarred scrapes and cuts, likewise he has a number of small moles and birth marks that dot around his body. He has thick oak brown hair that hangs down to the back of his neck, it is usually left untamed. His eyes are light brown and are always filled with quite the lively gleam.
Personality
Al is the textbook definition of a big man with a even bigger heart. The big lug resonates a friendly aura no matter the situation he is in. Always ready to lend a helping hand and more than willing to trust people, some people say that he is too trusting. He can't help but be concerned for those around him, especially those he considers underdogs. Al will go out of his way to make sure those around him have everything they need, even if it puts him into hard situations. He tries to live life to the fullest, putting his all into anything and everything he does regardless of its importance. He is always over flowing with joyful energy, wearing a massive grin paired with a hearty laugh.
Al is also incredibly passionate about the medical field, if it has to do with medicine or the human body you better believe that Al wants to know about it. This passion has lead to Al to become an unofficial nurse of sorts, if you say you aren't feeling well you better get ready for an examination from Al followed by a whole list of remedies to try. The only other time that this fiery passion comes out of Al is when he finds the need to defend someone, despite all of his kind hearted nature Al can not stand a bully and has no problem putting one in their place.
Under all of his cheerfulness Al holds a deep need to prove to others that he is not a giant brute and won't end up walking the same dark path his parents did.
History
"It doesn't matter where someone comes from, but rather where they are going."
Unlike many Al didn't come from a home of pro-heroes, rather his parents were on the opposite side of that spectrum. His father was the villain known as Devastator, his quirk giving him unbelievable strength and durability, while his mother was the villainess Puppeteer, her quirk allowing her to manipulate a person's nervous system after having made contact with them.
The duo had partnered up and had went on a crime spree that crossed the world; robbing banks, holding hostages, and defeating heroes in dozens of countries. Their nefarious acts eventually were stopped in Japan where they were finally caught and brought into justice, it was also at this point that it was discovered that the two were more than just partners in crime, turns out that Puppeteer was pregnant.
This is where Al's story really begins, being born in a maximum security prison for some of the most horrid villains the world has to offer. Fortunately for the young man he didn't have to remain their for long, he was swiftly placed into the foster system. Al grew up in a foster home with a slew of other children, though they were far from well off they had enough love to make up for it.
Growing up Al couldn't help but notice the odd side glances others would give him and the hushed conversations that were held behind his back, eventually though he realized they were caused by who his parents were. All of the assumptions and fears of others about him is what drove Al to swear that he would do everything he could to prove that he wasn't like his parents, that he in fact would become a great hero.
Al fell into the big brother role really well growing up with all the other foster kids; making them lunches, walking them to school in the morning, and protecting them from bullies. He only became more caring once he found out that he was able to heal others with his quirk, not only did he help with his foster brothers and sisters injuries but he also extended it out to anyone that needed it.
Eventually Al found himself with the opportunity to follow his dream to become a hero and join Chihaiten Academy. Though it wasn't UA Al couldn't have been happier.Quirk
Quirk Name
Bio-Buster
Quirk Type
Transformation
Quirk Description
Al's quirk gives him the ability to manipulate his biological make as well, to an extent, that of others. He is able to alter his own body and increase his own physical abilities beyond that of the average person. He can give himself amazing strength and durability, remarkable speed and agility, or even unbelievable reflexes and senses. What is most impressive however is his body's accelerated healing process, injuries that would put others out for weeks Al will jump back from in hours.
Through physical contact Al is able to extend his quirk to others, but rather than giving a person increased abilities Al's quirk is able to rapidly increase the person's healing process. He does this by linking with the person on a biological level then allowing the person's injury or ailment to manifest in himself, at this point his already present rapid healing takes over and fixes the problem for both him and the patient.
Quirk Weaknesses
Increasing his physical attributes exhausts Al's body greatly, maintaining it for too long causes him to become lightheaded, nauseas, and it even becoming painful for him. It is also quite the task for Al to increase more than one attribute at a time, using multiple at a time puts further strain on his body. At the moment if Al goes all out and raises multiple aspects at once he has roughly ten minutes before his body gives out and he will collapse into unconsciousness.
While using his healing ability Al has to lower all of his other aspects in order to focus on the person's injury, this prevents him from using his other abilities and leaves him quite vulnerable. Since he has to take the injury onto himself Al has to experience all the pain that goes along with it, so smaller scrapes and bruises are easy for him, but more serious injuries such as broken bones or gun shot wounds can prove far more painful for Al.
Other
Al always has a small fanny pack on him that acts as his go to first aid kit.
Um. Is this absolutely full?
I Don't want to step on anyone's toes. But in the manga wasn't there more than one class? There were two separate hero classes plus a sidekick class right? Can't remember if it was sidekick or support, in just remember the tinkering girl
I only say this because I hate turning people down personally
Finished my character finally, let me know if there's anything I need to change in regards to my character or his quirk.
"I'm going to be the best because people need saving, and I have what it takes to save them!"
Name:
Kyoji "Kyo" Sonoda
Superhero Name:
TBD
Age:
16
D.O.B:
January 18th
Appearance:
Kyoji stands at 5'11" and weighs in around 160 pounds, having hit his growth spurt rather early, though his doctors say he's pretty much done growing. The boy has soft facial features, and if it weren't for his height and pierced ears he'd probably be mistaken for being younger than he really is. One of his more prominent features is his long white hair, but in a world where people have superpowers, odd hair coloring isn't a big whoop. He also has milky blue eyes, that sometimes have a little green in them too, he likes to say it's because of the weather or the clothes he's wearing. Kyo has a fit, athletic body due to his training from a young age. He exercised often to hone his body to become a conduit for his quirk and to increase his stamina. Kyoji's attire is casual when out of combat or school, opting for comfortability more than appearance.
Personality:
Kyoji is a high-energy, determined, and amicable teenager. Kyo just generally enjoys people and being social, it's half the reason he wants to become a hero! While he's very friendly towards people and tends to give them the benefit of a doubt, once you've crossed him it's hard to gain his trust again. Kyoji has this strong moral code he's attached to himself and he tries his best to be good and righteous, but obviously, he's only human and has his own shortcomings. But it's his shortcomings that drive him to do better and succeed.
Kyo is a very determined individual, having a set of goals in life that he'll try his hardest to achieve, and uniquely, losing only makes him want to try again. If Kyo gets knocked down five times, it's damn certain that he'll get up a sixth. This even applies to his academics, which he's always struggled with, but he still tries his best. Kyoji has a strong combat sense and can be a quick thinker on the field, but when it comes to school and studying, he tends to flounder. Kyo is slightly embarrassed by his academic weakness, and when asked about it, he'll deflect and say he's street-smart, not book smart.
Kyoji, coming from a poor background, wants a better life for his family, which was a big factor as to why he applied to Chihaiten His ambition is stronger than ever, now that he's accepted (on a scholarship). You could say he's fired up and ready to show everyone that he has what it takes. He's a very energetic and enjoys getting people fired up, and he absolutely loves working in groups. He finds people interesting, especially if they have a cool quirk. It's not out of the ordinary to see Kyoji commenting or asking about people's quirk. Which is why he tends to be good at reading people and opponents.
Kyoji, in his deepest sense of self, just wants the best for everyone. He feels injustice in the world like a little itch in the back of his head, that desperately needs to be scratched. Kyoji wants to become a hero that fights injustice, who can help people and be a pillar of good for society. Maybe his dream is too naive? Too irrational, maybe the world just doesn't run that way.
History:
From a young age, it was clear that Kyoji was a hero in the making. Whether he was intervening in a bullying, or joking around in the classroom, it was obvious that Kyo was good with people. Raised in a lower-class family, life wasn't a walk in the park for Kyo. Kyoji was one of three, so things were sometimes hectic at home. Having an older brother and sister helped foster his ambition from a young age. He saw what they would do and try to copy them. His parents worked long hours, his father a low-level licensed hero and his mother worked as a waitress at a fancy restaurant. His brother and sister worked too, just so the family could get by.
When Kyoji manifested his quirk, he and his father grew even closer. It meant the world to him that his father set aside time to teach him about life and his quirk. He and his father would train everyday after work, and Kyoji began to show he had the makings of a hero. That all changed when his father never came home one night, just like that, he was gone. A villain had been robbing a jewelry store when his father had intervened, and ultimately was beaten in combat by the villain. Not only did the villain get away with the robbery, but he slaughtered Kyoji's father without a second thought. This opened Kyo's eyes to the injustice in the world, and showed him how much the world needed heroes. Ever since the death of his father, Kyoji had a fire lit inside him to become a Pro-hero.
Soon, it became time for Kyoji to prepare for his future. With his family deeper in poverty without his father's income, Kyo knew what he had to do. He concluded that he would get into Chihaiten and become a Pro-hero. Not only would he be able to help people and do what was morally right, but he'd be able to provide for his family. His brother and sister could finally get a proper education, and his mother might even be able to retire at a reasonable age. It was like killing tow birds with one stone. Now, all he has to do is live up to his word, an endeavor he'll put his blood, sweat, and tears into.Quirk Name:
SnapShot
Quirk Type:
Mutation
Quirk Description:
SnapShot is a mutation quirk that altered Kyoji's physiology and gave him abilities that revolve around the concept of a camera. Kyoji was what seems to be large camera lenses embedded in the palms and backs of his hands. His irises also transform into what looks like black camera lenses when his quirk is activated. Kyoji has the ability to see with not only his eyes but through the lenses on his hands as well. Kyo's lenses can do anything a normal camera can do, including take pictures and record videos. There are small diodes on all the lenses that change colors depending on the abilities being used by Kyoji. When taking a picture of something, the diodes on the lenses will flash red, indicating a picture has been taken. When recording, the lenses will flash blue.
Kyoji can "download" anything he records and can instantly gain any skills displayed in the video (he cannot gain quirks from this). He can only "download" so many skills before he reaches full capacity and has to "delete" recordings. At the moment, half of his storage is full, he has "downloaded" recordings of various martial arts as well as free running techniques. The final ability Kyoji can use is his "flash" techniques. The lenses on his hands can emit a bright "camera flash" of various degrees depending on how long he charges the "flash." Without charging a flash, it's bright enough to cause a person to squint. After a three second long charge, it's bright enough to cause someone to want to turn away from the light or close their eyes, if they look directly at the flash it can cause them to see spots. After a five second charge, staring directly at the flash can cause temporary blindness for a few seconds. After a ten second charge, the flash changes into a blasting, "beam like" flash that can cause burns if they hit his target.
Quirk Weaknesses:
Kyoji's weaknesses lie in the fact that he has a limited amount of film he can "download" and the charging times on his "flash" abilities. Kyoji's download capacity is already half full to begin with, limiting the other skills he can learn. His charging time is his biggest weak point in terms of attack power. He has to be resourceful and time his attacks well in order to be effective in combat. Another point he wants to work on is his physicality, because his quirk doesn't enhance any of his physical attributes, meaning he has to exercise regularly just to be able to keep up with everyone else.
"Need me to carry that? Or you?"
Name: Valeriya Iganov
Superhero Name:
Age: 15
D.O.B: July 30th
Weight: 143 lbs.
Height: 5'11"
Personality: As stubborn as they come, when it comes to her beliefs, Valeriya may as well be a brick wall of impregnable bullheadedness. Still, she's liable to listen attentively to others...just, don't expect her to take solid advice before she goes ahead and does something. This is likely why her grades are below the class average. Even so, she shows a degree of diligence bordering on masochism, wanting to succeed at most thing she does badly enough to ram her head into a brick wall. It'd take her almost a dozen failures at something before she even begins to believe that it isn't 100% possible to accomplish. She's...kind of a moron.
Stubborn as she is, she at least shows a great degree of concern for others, often willing to shoulder the burden someone may be carrying to ease it up on them a bit. She's relieved by the more friendly environment this academy possesses, compared to the almost boot camp like school her father attended. She can generally make a good acquaintance with anyone, but is slow to call someone a friend, given the competitive hero system she'd seen in action. She's used to just following her instincts and doing what she pleases, and as such is difficult to work with if you don't understand how to use her as a battering ram for most problems. She seems almost giddy when she gets to use her quirk, having always secretly wanted to magnetize her fist to someone's face over and over again.
History: Born to a marriage between a Russian professional hero and a woman she only vaguely remembers, a mother of four years that just took divorce papers and ran with them, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Valeriya adored her father, the sole object of familial love she had in the world, given that her grandparents had long since passed away. Her father was her world, and his work inspired her as she was growing up. Like most kids, she wanted to be a hero growing up, using the powers of her parents to fight bad guys and deliver justice. But...things were a bit more strict in Russia. Heroes were kept on a far shorter leash than the ones in America and Japan, as the government wanted to maintain order and power, meaning that the trials one needed to go through as a pro hero there were grueling and exhaustive, with the burden of hero-work not growing any easier after one passed. Regulations, thorough investigations, citizen quarries, popularity...all factored into maintaining one's career and license.
It was tough for years, but her father managed well enough until he went just a little too far on someone with a few too many connections. That's all it took for him to lose his licence and become disgraced by his fellow Supermen and Women. It was a difficult time in both their lives to say the least, leading her to grow into a rebellious stage of her life, spending most of her middle school days anywhere but school. It was the usual pretentious teenage bullshit, but it wasn't until she used her quirk for something other than showing off for once. A friend had been stalked by somebody, and, being a good Samaritan, she simply slapped his back when he was harassing her to get him magnetized to a wall for about ten minutes. It felt...good. Undeniably good to help her. So much so, that her entire outlook on life changed to that of an idealist, wanting to become a hero for the sake of others in place of her father.
Of course, her disdain for her home's system of stifling heroics drove her to beg to instead attend classes in Japan. She wouldn't stand to go through what her father had, and he supported her. Without perfect grades however, U.A. was out of the question from the get go, but the dorm options for Chihaiten were perfect. It was a difficult transition, going from Russia to Japan, but now that the school year is rolling around, Valeriya is ready to kick ass, while speaking broken ass Japanese and hopefully meeting people that didn't mind that.Quirk Name: Quad Polarize
Quirk Type: Emitter
Quirk Description: A quirk that's effects are transmitted through contact with each of Valeriya's limbs, with her right limbs possessing a "Positive" charge that can be forced on, and the left having a "Negative" one. When she touches an object or person with any of her limbs, whether it be an elbow swipe, a knee, a kick, or a punch, or even just a light tap, she can "Polarize" the target with the corresponding charge from that limb. Currently, the largest object that she can affect with her quirk is about the size of a pick-up truck, with the effective range being about 100 meters around her in a circle.
When two objects are polarized by opposite charges through her quirk, regardless of other magnetic forces, they will be drawn together like a proper magnetic attraction would have. Contrarily, having two of the same charge between two objects will force them away from one another. These effects vary depending on the length of contact she maintains, as the longer she holds onto something, the more "Charge" she places on it. She can also use this quirk on herself without having to touch any part of her body, immediately gaining a maximum level charge of either Positive or Negative at her choosing. To measure the strength of her polar attractions, I'll use a measure of levels for the amount of time needed to enact, and the force that level applies:
- Level 1: Immediate Contact, if applied to two targets, they will start drifting towards/away from each other if physically possible, as if they were being dragged by the chest. Doesn't work so well on larger objects.
- Level 2: Sustained Contact, IE: Grabbing someone by the arm and holding on for roughly 5 seconds. Two objects at level 2 will start being forced closer or further apart rapidly, at around 10 mph.
- Level 3: Prolonged Contact, IE: Keeping someone in an armlock for a good thirty seconds or so. Two objects at this level will start speeding towards each other with enough force to start lifting them off the ground.
- Level 4: Over a Minute of Continual Contact: If held for over a minute, at this point the two objects will most certainly crash into each other regardless of how large they are, traveling at around 30 mph.
This isn't a true magnetic force, rather, it would be more accurate to call it a sort of raw force that just happens to function like it. As such, literally ANYTHING can be affected by it, ranging from rubbers, plastics, concrete, pretty much any sort of normal material.
Quirk Weaknesses:
-As this isn't TRUE magnetism, it doesn't work any better on metals versus other materials.
-She can only apply the specific charges with the respective limbs, and as such all one would have to do to avoid being pulled to something is avoid the corresponding kick/punch/its all in the time attack.
-She can't maintain a Charge between more than four objects at a time, and she can only put each at about half of her maximum strength for the attractive/repelling force with all four being maintained, regardless of how long she was touching them.
-She can't wipe your hardrive for you.
-When used on a person or a large object, the charge is target on the object/person's center of mass, meaning they could still move their arms and legs even if stuck to something.
Other: Swears in Russian when frustrated, figuring nobody understands it.
