I’m assuming I can hit the tentacle from there but if not I’ll just use two faith and heal up Father C.

@rocketrobie2 If Father C can curve bullets, yes, he probably can hit the tentacle from there. The Shotgun has a range of 5, if I recall correctly, and so you would be able to get it from F2, but Mae's verdict alone can say whether or not you can get it from F1.

You can shoot through other possee members. Minor obstacles and such.

I think you need to have walkable titles between you and target though so no shooting through voids?

@Mae will know exactly. I belive I asked a similar question regarding firing though people once.

Shooting through units is fine as well as the range on the gun (you can count diagonals like movement) but it's actually more the issue of the target being hidden around the corner.

@rocketrobie2@CollectorOfMyst As CollectorofMyst said, you can hit it from F2 if you'd prefer to move there?

@PrinceAlexus Well, voids are debatable, but certainly one cannot shoot through walls. F1 is the square directly adjacent to Hawkeye, which means if the tentacle was at E21, I'd be sure of Father C's ability to shoot it. Line-of-sight (excluding posse members), and being in range is required.

Agh. I was counting the areas aka walls, areas you cannot step into as "voids"

Aka if it was a video game those areas would be a void, there is no data there. a space you cannot enter.

@PrinceAlexus Well, you're not wrong. We can't enter that space. Probably because there's a wall there, you can't really tell. But when you said void I thought you meant the abyss, the one in the E room.

It hasn't come up yet really (*totally didn't forget the movement rule earlier lel), but since one of the next missions is Defend the Bridge, and I was gonna mention it anyway, I'll talk about it now instead:

Pits / Chasms:
Such as "The Bridge" maptile.

Pits are bottomless chasms that cannot be moved through by conventional methods, but do not block line of sight.

All spaces touching a pit are considered Adjacent.

Movement through Pits / Chasms:
Enemies/Heroes can only move onto a "pit" area if they have the Flight ability or are XL Size or larger [they take up 4 squares. Heroes, Hellbats and Tentacles are medium, for example, and the Night Terror was Large. Usually only Bosses are XL size] and do so at a cost of 2 movement per space. When moving through the pit, they are considered to be a part of the whole Pit area. There is no limit to the amount of creatures allowed in a Pit at once.


Ranged Attacks:
Behave the same as usual, so long as they are in range and line of sight. When counting whether a target is in range, each pit square counts as 2 spaces.


Dynamite and Explosives:
A Dynamite/Explosive that detonates on an adjacent space to the Pit also hits all models in that Pit area. An explosive that goes off ON a pit square will only hit creatures in the pit, not creatures standing on spaces adjacent to the pit. [The explosion counts as in mid air above or inside the pit itself.]


Being Knocked into the Pit:
Any creature/hero that cannot move into the pit that is moved into the pit by some means, is considered to have been knocked into the pit. If it is an enemy, it is immediately killed. If it is a Hero, they are immediately KO'd and their body unconscious on a ledge until they can Recover and roll for their injury.

@rocketrobie2 Father C begrudgingly parts way with his favoured position at the front of the queue. He has 2 movement left.

He takes a shot at the Tentacle, missing once and critting once. The bullet pierces right through the creature's otherworldly armour, doing a massive 6 damage and killing it on sight. He gains 30 XP for his troubles.

Seriously Father C is some sort of machine for killing things if I remember the previous fight correctly O.o

The battle is over.

Loot!
Everyone in the posse receives 20 XP!


@DeadBeatWalking Hawkeye Harold receives 1 Darkstone.

Hawkeye may puff on his Trusty Pipe to recover 1 Determination.

You catch your breath after battle and may recover a mix of health and sanity. If you have Determination, you can reroll to attempt to gain back more. The maximum health/sanity points you can have to heal with is 3.

@DeadbeatwalkingHawkeye Harold recovers 2 health as he has taken no sanity damage.

@DuthguyDan can recover a mix of 2 health and sanity.

@ScarescrowScare, the Lawholder does not need to recover.

@PrinceAlexusPastor Jimmy does not need to recover.

@rocketrobie2Father C recovers 1 health.

@CollectorofMystAaron Goldfeld heals to full health.
