After a long days work Karma enter the dining room to see Reylan and Aster talking to two new faces. The first being a man with black, gothic style hair who judging from his equipment maybe a Marauder since he was carrying a mace on his back rather than a sword or a spear. The second being a young man with light green hair that was allowed to grow at front and sides. Karma couldn't make a fair guess at what the guy's class was causing his equipment was unequipped at the moment, Karma himself left his equipment in his inventory cause he didn't plan to get in a fight today, instead, Karma was wearing his normal new clothes in which he just made just to replace the cheap clothes he started with.
Karma walked to there table. "Hey!" He called out to them from a few feet away before walking closer to the table. Karma then looked at the two adventure he has yet to meet. "Hello how are you two doing?" he asked nicely before turned to Reylan "I got your message. Is the treaty ready? If so i would like to eat it-t I mean read it before signing it." Karma told him before his stomach roar after hard days work. Karma then blushed a bit while scratching behind his head. "I was so busy today i forgot to eat lunch." He told Reylan sounding quite proud.
Talrae was to be her virtual paradise, her escape from all the troubles of the real world and live an extraordinary life. The rest of the players had taken their grand old time adjusting to this new situation but Chari hadn't missed a beat since she learned that living in this world now could mean her doom. That first day she set out on her own to fight a couple of boars and while she got a little roughed up, she had never felt so alive. The only gripe she had was all that time spent making her personal avatar only to have it discarded. If the plan was to strip away their avatars from the start, why even let them make them in the first place? She couldn't help but think that the man behind all this was also a major troll that enjoyed pushing everyone's buttons, but she had to thank him for all this. Now she had an excuse not to leave anytime soon.
With every day came a new group of people, as Chari never stayed with one party for very long. There were some that didn't want to risk too much and others that were content for others to handle the harder monsters. Chari wanted to be at the forefront of this game, experiencing every twist and turn that it could possibly offer. None of the groups seemed ready to venture into a dungeon no matter how much she pushed for the idea. Her objective wasn't to win the game, it was to make the most out of this experience. That was why she went all out during each quest, enjoying the maneuverability and freedom the rogue class afforded her. She constantly tested the limits of what she could do during combat, eagerly wanting to know just what her abilities were. It didn't matter who the people were, what mattered was the quality of each fight or event that occurred.
Which led her to tonight. Once again, she had left her party without so much as a word after they handed in a quest and had no intentions of returning. They had been a fun group but she didn't feel like she fit in with them. In her bid to avoid her past parties, she had been staying at different inns across the city usually leaving late at night like right now. Her lips curved into a half-smile as she walked down the stone-laid street, the city never looked more beautiful than at night with the street lamps softly illuminating her path. Chari had no idea what adventure the next day would bring and that was perhaps was she enjoyed the most. Sparkling emerald-green eyes glanced up at the wooden sign that read "Eden Hall", this must be the place that she found earlier for her next place to crash. That half-smile turned into a smirk, she really hoped the booze here was half-decent.
The door to the inn flung strongly open as she walked through, confidence in her every step as she passed the other patrons on her way to the bar. Two things caught her interest on the way there: The giant, white rabbit just casually sitting in a booth and the gathering of players in the back corner "Give me two beers." She stated to the bar-keep, placing the renn on the counter. A pair of mugs filled with the golden liquid soon arrived and she downed the first one in one go, the bitter taste to her liking, letting out a satisfied 'Ah' as a quick shiver went through her body. It would do. She set the empty glass on the counter and gave the bar-keep a smile and wink, before taking the second glass over to the most intriguing thing in the inn right now. The giant, fluffy bunny.
"What's the big guy's name?" Chari asked straight with energy as she reached Dub's table, her right hand holding her mug of beer and the left leaning on the table. She wondered how it fought. Did it use its legs to kick? Or did it use its claws? It looked like it could take a pretty good beating or two as well. Plus she figured it was a good way to break the ice, surely the guy who had the giant rabbit had to be interesting as well. People, as she learned, could be another adventure as well if you take the time but she hadn't yet. Like this huge bunny, there was too much to see to try and get real friendly with somebody else.
The waitress arrived not a moment later with a tray. On the platter laid the various items that Dubstepp ordered. She first laid out the glass of water and the pitcher of ale on the wooden table. Once after, she placed the pot pies in front of the hungry rabbit and his trainer. Totoro was already drooling as Dubstepp thanked the woman. Smoke emanated along with a nice, inviting aroma. Dubstepp might have also been as enthusiastic to dive in.
Using a nearby fork, he picked a piece of the flaky crust. Before eating it, he blew on it to lower its temperature. Looking over to Totoro, Dubstepp's face wrinkled. His rabbit monster slammed his face into the table, he began to make several noises while eating. "Dude. You're tamed, how are you eating like that? And it's hot as hell." Dubstepp commented.
"What's the big guy's name?"
Dubstepp turned his attention over to the end of the table. A female player approached the table and caught Dubstepp by surprise. The event felt weird at first, but comforting. Most of the time, players kept to themselves or just remained with the people they met on launch day or their real-life friends. Dubstepp hesitated a bit before answering, a slight stutter formed as he spoke. "This is umm, Totoro."
Dubstepp laid out his hand out and pointed at the giant rabbit sitting in front of him. His eyes then met his rabbit monster again. Totoro picked up the pot pie and starting taking enormous bites. "You really need to chew your food. You're going to choke and I really don't know how to perform CPR," Dubstepp warned. Looking back at the woman, Dubstepp might have understood why she came to the table.
This was the first time that Totoro walked around with the musician. No doubt he received eyes while walking down the street. Totoro was a big, bunny monster. Girls would find him cute due to his long ears and fluffy appearance while guys would find him cool because of his sheer size and strength. Dubstepp saw the woman's hair color. "Another redhead?" Dubstepp thought to himself.
Drinking a sip of his ale, he initiated a conversation with the friendly individual. "Despite it being a rare trait, I actually have seen a lot of red-haired people in this game. What are the chances?" Dubstepp painted a smile on his face.
She smirked as it seemed she had caught the guy by surprise, then turned her head to look at Totoro "Nice to meet ya, Totoro." Her hand raised the mug slightly to take a sip when the monster bunny just started taking chunks out of that pot pie, and laughed as Dub scolded him "Don't you feed the poor guy?" Chari spoke humorously, it looked like she was right for approaching them. They seemed like a very entertaining duo.
Chari really wanted to just give the big guy a hug but not just that, she wanted to see Totoro beat the crap out of someone. That would be funny, she thought as long as it wasn't her. Sadly though, she doubted that a large rabbit would be a very good conversation partner so that left his owner. The smell from the hotly cooked food smell delightful and reminded her that beer alone couldn't sustain her, that fact was true also in the real world but she didn't think about that too much. While she was here, she'd rather forget that world.
"It's weird right? There must have been some sort of convention I wasn't aware of." A grin showed briefly before she brought the mug to her lips, and drank a fourth of its contents. When she lowered it, she decided to get this guy's name "Well you can call this particular red-head Chari. What's your name?" She sensed that, whoever he was, he had a good sense of humor. That was perfect because she didn't care for people were super-serious all the time, it kinda made enjoying the game hard when they were around. Unless of course they were trying to role-play, then it was either annoying or highly amusing.
Health: 1,500/1,500 Mana: 300/300 Renn: 827 (-5 for sandwich=822)
The arrival of the redhead was something of a surprise to Aster. A welcome one, sure, but a surprise all the same. She pondered quietly as the girl integrated herself into the group. Another girl was a benefit, for one thing. Whatever her skill was, she didn't have a sword on her, so she wouldn't overlap in her roles... Hmm. She was friendly enough, too. Chari... that was an odd name.
Aster realized as she sat that the conversation was flowing quickly around her, like a tide of ever-moving information that she was missing out on. She almost laughed audibly at the girl's forthright manner and immediate comebacks to Dubstepp. If she could keep up with that guy, she could keep up with anyone. Dub was probably the quickest-witted of the lot of them, and Chari was giving him a run for his money. Aster felt her stomach grumble, and, as a waiter stepped close while going past them, ordered a small sandwich, something she could eat neatly and quickly. Conversation was getting tiresome, and she was hoping that Alisea would still be up when she got back so that they could chat more calmly.
"I'll be on my way." She interrupted the conversation bluntly as she finished the small meal. "I'll see the rest of you tomorrow, I hope. And... you, I suppose." She directed the last comment to Chari, without any intentional malice, but with perhaps a bit too much offhand distaste. She chided herself as she slipped away. That was well done, Aster. C'mon, girl. No one here knows you from back home. You don't have to act like a stuck-up bitch any more. Some of these people even seem to like you, and now you're sabotaging it. Hopefully Alisea doesn't hear about it. Oh, god, Reylan probably think's I'm awful...
She reached the room that she shared with Alisea, her mind awash with increasingly-critical thoughts. Upon stepping into the darkened room, she strode adroitly through it, having memorized the layout the first day, thus making lights pointless. "Alisea?" she whispered. Nothing. She shook her head, smiling faintly to herself. The poor girl was apparently exhausted. As Aster opened her menu to disrobe, she saw from its faint glow that her friend was fast asleep. And...
Aster blushed so brightly that she was sure her cheeks were providing light themselves. Alisea had apparently unequipped her clothing before bed. That was... something. Aster paced uncomfortably for a couple moments, wishing that the game came with cheat codes. Finally, she did the same, figuring that embarrassment would keep her rooted in place and stop her from rolling around again, and that underwear must by their very nature be more comfortable than normal clothes. She slid carefully into the spacious bed, tucking the covers around her to keep herself still. The light of the menu shone faintly even now, and she closed it, like turning off a lamp, and somehow managed to drift fitfully to sleep. The dungeon was coming soon, the guild was growing... her dreams were vivid.
Dubstepp scratched his head once the red-haired woman responded. He gave a slight chuckle before answering her question despite it possibly being rhetorical. "All he does is eat. I'm pretty sure he has three stomachs," he joked.
Dubstepp noticed her beverage of choice. He kept a mental note of that. Usually, you can get an idea of a person by what they are drinking. This woman most likely enjoyed herself. Even then, she ended up coming with an empty beer and a full one. Dubstepp took a few swigs of his ale. After swallowing, he couldn't contain a smile. "A convention, huh? I hope you are talking about the giant rabbit and not me." He teased.
His eyes rolled to the ceiling as he listened to the woman's name. "Chari? That sounds appropriate for a red-hair." Taking a spoonful of pot pie, he quickly bit it to give out his name. "You probably heard my name before. It's a regular noun. My name is Dubstepp. I tend to drop jokes like I drop bass." He grinned.
Dubstepp looked out of the booth and saluted Aster as he left. "I don't know that woman enough to tell you if that was weird of her or not. All I know is that...she's female." Dubstepp shrugged, commenting on how Aster directed part of the conversation to Chari. Dubstepp took a few more bites of his meal. Totoro let out a burp after finishing his food.
Interacting with: @demonspade64@mopsock17 39 to 33 Renn Paralyze turn his head toward where the origin of the voice, only to see a male wearing a fine piece of clothing than him. He had a long blue or purple-ish color, thin and light eyebrows, tall nose, thin lips, narrow cheekbones, and a bunch of other characteristics that Paralyze could not even recognize the words. βFine thanks. I am Paralyze and this is Polak.β Paralyze motioned his head to his fellow trainer teammate. Nevertheless, it seems that Polak just agrees to see what happen to Fortuna and Sam.
Suddenly, a rumbling sound coming from Paralyze's digital stomach, reminding him that he skipped lunch and about to receive some hefty downgraded stats if he did not eat. Raising his hand so the nearby waiter could see, Paralyze shouted βCan I have a dish of fish and chips and a cup of water. Thanks.β And it seems that Mr. Newcomer just decided to skip his dinner as well, Paralyze think to himself as he received the dish and the drink from the waitress. Putting the Renn on the waiter's wooden tray, Paralyze begin his dinner. Afterall, there are no valid reasons for him to wait for other to eat.
Chari couldn't help but laugh at his joke "With the way he is eating, I don't doubt you." The conversation was going well, she thought. Dub's assumption was spot on, Chari wanted to have fun and experience everything both good and bad. If you dared her to catch a boar and ride on its back, she would likely do it just to claim she's done it. It was a dangerous attitude if you were foolish, but lucky for Chari she had enough street smarts to know when something was beyond her.
She shrugged her shoulders, lifting her hand off the table and pointing the palm upwards "I'm not at liberty to say." A disguised smirk as she took a sip from her mug. Chari was the name of her favorite character from a book series called The Dragon Isles, in the book an ancient power is passed down to her friends but not herself and her dragon companion. This doesn't stop the pair from helping the main heroes through the series. The character in the book was also a red-head. She laughed a little, shaking her head at his name and small joke "I take it you like music then." She made a wild guess.
A look of surprise filled Chari's face as Aster made her comment to her and went on her way, kinda out of nowhere. She blinked a few times recovering from the sudden small package of disdain she had just received, did she somehow intrude on something? After hearing Dub comment on what just happened, and hearing Totoro burping soon after she decided to simply move on "I guess I'll find out tomorrow." She said somewhat unsure just going with what Aster said. Without warning, she forced her way into the booth next to dubstep and waved a waitress over "I'll have the pot pie!" she requested and after the waitress, she looked over at him "What? He seems to be enjoying it." she pointed at the large rabbit across the table, smiling after setting down her mug on the table in front. Soon enough, her own pot pie arrived and began to eat herself.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Reylan turned his attention to Karma as their healer announced himself, he was glad that he showed up. That meant he wouldn't have to spend more time waiting for one of their crucial members "Yo!" he casually replied to Karma. After hearing him mixed up the two words, then the growling of his stomach...something told him he wasn't kidding about forgetting to eat "The treaty is there in front of Dirk and once he signs it, you can go ahead and read it and then sign it yourself. But first, get something to eat man." He advised shaking his head with a small grin "I at least hope you made some decent Renn." If he had forgotten to eat, surely that meant he made some serious dough today.
With his head turned in the direction of the entrance, he spotted Chari arrive like she was a regular and order two beers and immediately down the one. This wouldn't have grabbed his attention if not for the fact she walked boldly and simply began to chat, seemingly without reservation. They seemed to be getting along so that meant a possible recruit when he walked over to try and get Dub to sign the treaty. His attention turned to Aster as she got up to leave and then surprised him as she gave the new girl a bit of attitude "Yeah see you later Aster!" He tried to respond normally, though he couldn't help but think that was strange coming from Aster. It was possible that she simply had a long day and was exhausted from all the talking going on, at least he hoped so.
β§DAY 5 - 2:30PM - Dungeon, "The Hill's Sorrow"β§
6/22/2076
- Route 1 and 2 are Dead-Ends.
You are back. For some, it's a familiar sight. Others, it's completely new. Getting up early was a good decision, as the sun is high in the sky, even after the long march. Surprisingly you feel less tired than last time however. The march felt shorter. Perhaps it was the sense of familiarity on your way. Or your body had gotten used to such physical labor. Either way, it's a good feeling. You've all just finished lunch. Simple meals they were, designed to be filling rather than pleasing. But it always gets the job done. Now that you've eaten and rested, you are ready to fulfill Talrae's slogan... Adventure awaits.
Strangely enough, the dungeon does not look perfectly identical however. You check your map from the Menu once inside and you see that 2 routes, previously open, are now closed and are dead ends. Route 1, which you can see from the entrance, is indeed physically closed. Piles of dirt, rock and broken branches make the passage impassable. However you do not have the luxury of time to contemplate upon this mystery. Wolves are once again stand before you; growling, bearing their teeth and ready to face down the offensive intruders.

Summary
6 Hill Wolves and 1 White Wolf appeared in Area A.
Dubstepp exchanged glares with Totoro; the musician was forced to the wall once the red-headed rogue took a seat. His eyes widen for second before returning to their normal shape. Dubstepp could now see how socially active Chari was. If he were to flip through the pages of a dictionary and try to learn the word "extrovert," he would definitely find a picture of her. The underground rapper continued to finish his ale.
With a bit more of alcohol content, he became more talkative. "No, I actually like my anime in English and step-ladders." Dubstepp joked, but responded in a serious tone as if he wasn't. He shrugged his shoulders when Chari ordered the pot pie. "That's fine by me. It's your Renn," he said. After a few exchanges, Dubstepp called it a night and wished Chari the best. He and his hybrid rabbit walked back to their designated room. The tamer unsummoned Totoro and then slept on the provided bed.
Dubstepp had to wake up pretty early. He stood on the gravel pathway looking for possible items. He understood the dungeon raid would continue today. Stretching out his arms, he thought back to the previous dungeon experience. He figured it wouldn't hurt to have more items in his inventory despite the wolves being incredibly easy to defeat. It stood as a mystery what was passed the other rooms.
Dubstepp continued down the walkway trying to find a specific person of interest. He chose to visit the supposed petshop in hopes of locating the individual he needed. The pet shop was easy to notice according to the loud, erupted noises. Dubstepp entered and found small critters for sale. He looked at the various animals; they were not threatening in the least but did provide small benefits.
Looking elsewhere, Dubstepp found the person he wanted. Studying the person up and down, the NPC was the appropriate tutor for Dubstepp. After the recent level up, the musician found himself without the extra spells that came with it. Approaching the supposed beastmaster, Dubstepp could tell right away this was the right person.
The beastmaster had various taming equipment on them along with a peculiar scent on them. The smell was strong and probably drew animals away or closer depending on what the beastmaster wanted. Dubstepp struck a conversation which led to what he wanted. The beastmaster understood completely and became prepared to teach possibly one of his many disciples. Of course, if Dubstepp had the correct amount of Renn.
Within a few moments, Dubstepp learned a few moves, as well as some taming guidelines. The musician gladly dug through his pocket for the Renn. It was a high price to pay, but the payoff would be well worth it. The three spells in total cost around 300 Renn. A worthy cost for a better advantage on the battlefield. Dubstepp thanked the woman and head out of the store. Given his other expenses, he believed he would not have enough to spend on a pet. He did not want to stay for long and get suckered into buying a cute, house cat.
Dubstepp's next stop was across the walkway. He entered a weapons store for a brief moment. When the beastmaster, he had a lot of material to talk to her with. So much that time started to slip away from him. Dubstepp couldn't do the same with another NPC. Browsing quickly, he found his new weapons of choice. A peculiar weapon indeed but he knew he could make do. Bringing it up to the counter, the clerk did question the man's decision. "I know darts aren't a practical weapon, but I really think this could be me. Even then, I could just switch to something else. Having a throwing skill is certainly useful," Dubstepp smirked.
The clerk laughed and brought up the charge. Dubstepp paid forward and headed to the next destination. Before doing so, he did make sure to sell his wooden staff as he wouldn't be needing it anymore. Sweat started to show on his forehead. He did not like running late so he was picking up the speed in his steps. The musician carried forward inside another store. This time, the merchandise focused on magic items. No hesitation, Dubstepp grabbed a wooden totem and paid for it with few words. Stepping outside, he finally breathed.
Last stop Dubstepp had to make was the grocery store. That didn't take as long since that's the most popular for people. Dubstepp had troubles finding it. He barely spent any time there as it didn't matter what type of food. He just wished to bring some so he doesn't take any reduction in his stats, health, or mana. After all that was said and done, Dubstepp went toward the rendezvous point. The musician couldn't believe he got so many things accomplished before the dungeon trip.
Dubstepp learned... (Increase Monster Cap 1) (Increase Monster Summoning Cap 1) (Make Permanent Monster)
Dubstepp looked at the group of wolves before him. He sighed, he thought the entire scene before him was a bit cheap. He vanquished all of these wolves before. Now they suddenly teamed up together in hopes of creating a more difficult challenge? Dubstepp took out his horn from the inventory. This was the first time he held it in his hands after he received it from the admin.
Dubstepp found himself rubbing the smooth surface a bit. "Alright, let's do this. I hope you guys haven't lost your edge over the last few days." He threw out his hand and summoned the beast Totoro. The giant rabbit appeared before the group with a mighty roar; his neck tilted to the sky as he released his deafening growl. "Good morning to you too, buddy."
Dubstepp started playing the wind-piped instrument. He helped Totoro regain his mana and health points. "Give them a hop, dude." The musician gave his rabbit monster a simple command. Totoro approached the group of wolves and crushed the earth beneath him. The pressure of the jump affected those around it. Totoro would start punching one of the smaller wolves.
Then, Dubstepp utilized three hundred of his mana points to make Totoro a permanent pet. Looking back at the rest of the party, he spoke to them. "While some of them are dazed, now would be a good time to attack." Dubstepp snickered.

After giving the treaty for Dirk and Karma to sign, Reylan informed them all once more of the dungeon raid they were going to be doing tomorrow. He advised them to all get some sleep and in the morning buy any last-minute supplies for the journey before meeting back at the in at 9 a.m. so they could get to the dungeon in a reasonable time. Once he gotten Dirk and Karma's signatures, he walked over to the booth with Dub, Totoro, and the new girl with the treaty in hand. He introduced himself to Chari then turned to Dub, the one person who seemed not so crazy about the guild idea "It looks our guild, Legion of the Wolf, is going to be offical. We're just missing one last important signature." He spoke hopefully, extending the treaty and the quill pen for Dub. This was a guild and not a dictatorship, Reylan might be leading but that didn't mean the opinions of those around him did not matter. In fact, they were all too valuable to the silver-haired archer "Chari, we'll be heading to a dungeon tomorrow if you want to come along. Meet us at the front gate of Genesis City at 9 a.m., perhaps you'd be willing to join the guild after fighting alongside us!" He enthusiastically smiled. If Dub wasn't willing to sign the treaty at the moment, he would understand but it wouldn't stop him from trying to convince him tomorrow. Reylan spoke his goodbyes to everyone there, and headed up to his room to relax and think about everything that's happened today.
As the door closed and locked behind, he un-equipped everything save for his pants and walked towards the end of the bed. He sprung up from the hard-wooden floor backwards onto the bed, the spring mattress bouncing his body back into the air before settling down as he sprawled out on the covers. The weight of sleep was heavy in his eyes but he couldn't fall asleep just yet. Silver eyes stared up at the un-decorated ceiling letting all of the unresolved thoughts of the day flood his mind, draping his fore-arm over his forehead. The morning sparring session taught him how difficult it was going to be to get the skill level necessary to excuse rapier use in combat. That got him thinking of Aster, outside of combat she was sweet, quiet, and her shyness could be quite cute at times but once she drew that sword...it was like a lioness emerged along with it. Of course one couldn't picture Aster without Alisea, the two had formed a fast and unbelievably strong friendship already...in that regard he was a little jealous. Alisea was fearless, smart, and downright intimidating at times perhaps as a result of the previous two attributes. Secretly he admired those qualities of her.
Paralyze and Polak seemed to automatically assume they were a couple when she grabbed ahold of his arm, an action he was still unsure how to take but for now decided to ignore. Now he thought about his other teammates: Dub, Dirk, and Karma. Dub was the kind of guy Reylan hoped to become particularly good friends with, his humor and cleverness brought a lightness to almost every conversation. Dirk was like a paragon out of a story with a unyielding will to protect others above all else, the perfect mindset for a tank. Karma was an all-around good and enjoyable guy to have around but he sometimes said the wrong things at the wrong times. He hoped that he and Dub would be able to reconcile. For good or ill, they were all joined under the Legion of the Wolf and would have to look out for each other. A long, drawn out yawn told him that he should probably just go to sleep and think about all this tomorrow with a clearer head. With a bit of maneuvering, he slipped under the covers and drifted off to sleep.
Faster. Faster. Run Faster. Don't Stop Moving.
His mouth gasped for air as he ran without stopping, stepping over fallen logs as he darted through a dark forest with a fog-like mist along the ground. A dark figure was hunting him, using the shadows of the night to conceal themselves. Frantically he looked around as the sounds of twigs snapping and fast footsteps seemed to come all around him. Desperately he tried to open his menu and get of his bow, but it would not should up no matter how many times he tried. A knife barely missed his head right in front of him, lodging into a tree as he passed. His legs were already numb for how long and fast he was running, his heart and lungs overclocked just to keep him ahead of whatever wanted his blood. Terror wracked his mind against this unknown chaser, he didn't now why he was running from it but only that he must. The darkness disguised an exposed root which caught his foot, and he slammed into the coarse dirt. There was not even enough time to pick himself up before a black wolf cloaked in shadows tore into his calf, and then another bite down on his wrist. In moments, a pack of these shadow wolves were tearing into him amidst his increasingly desperate cries of help. The hooded figure he had spotted earlier came into view, shadows disguising the face as it looked down at him "Please..." Reylan mouthed the words. Scarred hands rose from the hooded figure, in one hand a hand-held crossbow, and pulled back the hood and the shadows along with it. Underneath that hood was Reylan, a cold death-glare in his eyes as he aimed the crossbow to the one being ripped apart. With an electronic 'ping', the bolt released and sunk deep into Reylan's forehead, his silver eyes frozen wide as everything faded to black...
6:00 A.M. - Day 5
Reylan jolted up straight breathing heavily as he took in his surroundings, the safety and familiarity of his room calming him down from a very vivid dream. Both hands pressed against his face and pulled it downwards as he let out a small groan, wiping the sleep from his eyes. The covers were twisted all over the place but what caught his attention was the small notification he spotted, a PM at this hour? He pulled up the time...6:10 in the morning? That explained why that crossbow made such a strange sound. He opened the message, eyes half-open:
Good morning, Mister Guildmaster! Don't forget we have a date this morning! Meet me downstairs for breakfast--my treat if you can be here in five minutes.
A date this early? The cogs in his brain finally awoke and with it his eyes opening fully. He didn't remember anything about a date but he did recall Alisea saying she would accompany him to the guild-hall. Against his desire to return to bed, Reylan got up and equipped his clothes and gear and made his way downstairs within the time-frame she gave. The adrenaline was still flowing through his body from that vicious nightmare so it offset his tiredness a bit. Even though he knew she had done it just to tease him, calling this a date had still made him just the tiniest bit nervous. His body was still recovering from waking up as he approached Alisea "Good morning Alisea, I didn't expect you to be up so early.." It was mostly a friendly greeting, but with a bit of disguised complaining along with it
"Hm? Is that so?" Alisea smiled and took up a space beside Reylan, grabbing his right arm with her left and guiding him toward the exit. "But I did not expect a leader of adventurers to sleep in so late. The sun is already out, you know."
Reylan looked suspiciously at her for that reply, only to have his arm surrendered to her once more. He felt nervous just like the night but did his best to hide it, she wouldn't get the best of him this time "Late? It's not even seven yet! I should be in bed for another hour at least, regardless of the sun." His eyes had to squint a little as they left the in at the brightness until his eyes adjusted. Regardless, he was awake now finally feeling free of that terrifying visage of his nightmare"So about that breakfast?" He asked hopefully, it would save him what little renn he has left.
"Are you hungry, Mister?" Alisea teased. "I doubt any diners are open right now, though. Not this early. We may have to turn in the paperwork first, and then eat afterward."
The muscles in his shoulders tightened at the tease, getting called Mister by Alisea made him uncomfortable. He knew that she was teasing him but it was difficult not to have that immediate reaction. There was the option of retaliating, but it could very well backfire "Then let's head to the Town hall, after the treaty is handed in surely something will be open." Alisea also made it difficult by teasing first then saying some reasonable afterwards. He shook his head with a small, nervous laugh at the situation, this was almost exactly a date. A morning stroll with arms connected and breakfast for two later? Reason told him otherwise of course, Alisea just liked to mess with him he'd learned so far
Alisea let some moments and a few streets pass in what was (for her) a comfortable silence. She smiled the entire time--not at Reylan, or anything else he could see, but she smiled. It was a peaceful look, not edged as it had been when she offered him the rapier. "You have been awfully accepting of this. Do you like me hanging on your arm?" she asked at length, her eyes surveying the quiet streets slowly coming to life.
Remarkably Reylan's heartbeat slowed down nearly to normal, perhaps thanks to the peaceful silence, as the two made their way through the city. Reylan only glanced at Alisea for moments along with other scenery, but took notice of the relaxed smile she had. When Alisea asked her question, his reaction wasn't for his whole body to jump but instead he simply looked forward as to limit his anxiety at the query "I didn't think I had a choice. It's not the worse thing I guess.." He did his best to tease her back. In the period of silence, Reylan decided to take this whole situation as a sign they were getting closer as friends, it wasn't like they were holding hands.
"This is Talrae, Reylan. You always have a choice." As she spoke, Alisea looked up at the sky. Her crystal blue eyes sparkled in the early light, viewing something far beyond what was physically there. Then it passed, her eyes turned back to the road ahead, and the magess made no move to explain her words any further.
Silence once again fell between them. Choice? Before Talrae, Reylan had let life make most of the choices for him and simply went with the flow of things. He had already made the choice to become guild-master but that was just the beginning. Deep inside he understood that many more choices were to made before Talrae was won and they were released. They arrived at the town hall rather quickly after that, the meeting with the guild registrar went rather smoothly and he was given a few books on operating a guild. Their treaty was stamped with a mark that stated it was approved, a unknown source of pride soared inside him. It was official now, Reylan was the guild-master of the Legion of the Wolf and he couldn't be more excited.
Afterwards, He went with Alisea to a bakery to buy some breakfast. The baker had mistakenly called them a couple, which Reylan nervously corrected, as he handed them two plates of hotcakes. Reylan spoke up as they ate a table "Alisea, I would like to make you the guild's vice-commander. You're someone I can trust to keep on top of things and of course, keep me line." He grinned, speaking those last three words as a semi-joke.
For what may have been the first time, Alisea looked surprised by Reylan's words. Then came a flash of hesitancy before finally she brought her expression back to neutral. Turning her eyes down to the center of the table, then choosing to simply shut them altogether, Alisea remained silent as she thought."I can do that," she answered at last. "But only if the rest of the guild approves," she added.
Reylan figured the silence was Alisea seriously considering the offer, she wasn't one to take matters lightly "Of course, I'll ask for everyone's opinion after the dungeon. I know at least one other person who'll have your back." He smiled referring to their swords-woman of course. They'd seemed to have each others backs no matter what, of which Reylan envied a little.
Alisea nodded her assent and began to eat. "These are nice," she commented after pair of bites. "I wonder... if I can have these for dinner as well." She glanced up at Reylan with a small, mischievous glint in her eye, then turned to wave over the baker as he passed nearby and order another plate. She continued to eat as she waited; then out of nowhere turned up to Reylan and asked, "So what was the picture you gave Aster? Was it like the flower you were sketching last night?"
He followed after Alisea, nodding as he chewed a piece in his mouth "Hey, if that's what you really want.." Reylan looked up only to see her look at him in that frightening way. He went back to eating for awhile and then quickly swallowed his next bite "Um, well not exactly. I, uh, painted her a portrait of herself. It's more like one of these." He opened up his inventory as retrieved on of the other paintings he did and held the ends with the scene towards Alisea "I wanted to thank her for sparring with me and I suppose I got a little inspired." he casually claimed.
"Hm." And that was all the magess had to say on the matter--aloud. She went into another bout of pondering, her eyes staring through the hotcakes as she ate. Soon the baker came back with a fresh plate, his appearance enough to bring Alisea back to the present so she could thank him. "Now. Shall we investigate a little more about how the inventory works?" Alisea asked the archer rhetorically. She reached out to the new plate and set her left hand atop the warm meal. And waited.
Alisea lack of a reply troubled him, there was no telling what she was thinking not that he was inclined to find out. Reylan was a fast eater so he had nearly finished when Alisea received her second round. Reylan watched with some intrigue as nothing seemed to happen "Are you sure you're not trying to absorb their power or something?" The sight was almost comical.
"Not yet," was her cryptic response. A few moments more passed without noticable effect. Alisea's smile was slowly turning down as she watched the cakes. "It should be working, but it doesn't feel cold," she muttered. The magess gripped the edge of the top cake, intending to carefully lift the flimsy food; to her surprise, it lifted like a hockey puck, hard clear through. She stared at it for some moments until a flash of understanding lit her eyes. "Reylan, is this cold?" she asked, tossing him the frozen hotcake and reaching for the next.
The hotcake came at him like a Frisbee and he caught it dexterously just in time, his eyes widened at its temperature. It was like a hotcake icicle "Yeah, its freezing. What did you just do?" He asked curiously with mild amazement, never-minding the fact she just threw food at him.
"I froze it. That was the third level ice spell. I think I could only feel warmth because I was pulling the heat out," Alisea explained. Sure enough, the remaining hotcakes were stiff, though not as frozen as the first. Alisea picked up the rest of the stack to hold, continuing to let it freeze. "This was spur-of-the-moment, but I had the thought that, if I froze these, they might stay frozen while in my inventory. It would be like having a refrigerator or a freezer." Confident they were cold enough to be preserved for the day, Alisea willed the spell to stop. The frostiness immediately began nipping at her bare palms, so she quickly stored the frozen food away. "Of course, the other possibility is that they thaw even in my inventory and I am left with soggy hotcakes. We can find out tonight."
Reylan knocked the solid hotcake on the table as she explained what she did, the sound a loud thud "Looks like magic can be pretty useful outside of combat." He replied tossing her back the frozen disc, watching as she did the same to the rest. If they stayed frozen, it would be a useful way of transporting food out into the field "I am eager to see the results of this little experiment. We should probably finish up here and perhaps hit the shops quick if you need anything, I might be able to find a buyer for my paintings while you get supplies." Reylan couldn't afford any more equipment at the moment, so it was pointless for him to shop.
"Alright. Lead the way, Mister artist. You should be able to find a good buyer for work so splendid; that was far too practiced to have been just the skill system's influence." As she spoke Alisea stood. Before they left, she waved a cheerful farewell to the wonderful baker who had been so helpful. "See you later, Mr. Josef! Thank you again!"
Reylan was starting to really dislike the word Mister, knowing the connotation Alisea was applying with it just to torment him. He instead decided to ignore it and focus on what she said afterwards "I hope so, I have been praticing my artistic skills for a few years now before this game." As Alisea thanked the baker, Reylan was painfully reminded that today his art was to be featured in a low-key art gallery in the real world. A semblance of remorse filled his normally cheery features as they left the bakery, before adopted a more neutral outlook, as they went on their way to the market
While Alisea went to go buy whatever she needed, Reylan went to any shops that seemed like they would be interested in buying his art and did his best to bargain for the best price possible not willing to accept anything less than one gold. After meeting back up with Alisea, they went back to the inn to meet up with others to head out towards the dungeon. The morning trip had been an...great experience he had to admit, Alisea wasn't too bad of company...when she wasn't teasing him of course. Once at the inn, He did a head-check of everyone who was supposed to be coming along. There was still no sign of Fortuna so he figured she must have changed her mind. After making sure everyone was good to go, he led his new guild to the dungeon they had left unfinished along with Chari.
The trek to the dungeon was less ardous than the first time and he felt confident about their odds of clearing it this time. They were higher level, had new people with them, and were better prepared for the dangers within. In preparation, Reylan went over multiple scenarios trying to take in consideration all of his teammates abilities he had seen beforehand. Polak, while a trainer, had plate armor and a large HP pool which made him viable for the the front of their formation. Chari had less health but he was sure she could maneuver around targets, especially if they were distracted. Paralyze was a definite and needed addition to their melee ranks, he had not seen a marauder in combat yet. He disliked sending people in danger so he would be paying extra attention to those in close-range combat.
His mind quickly took stock of the situation, there six small wolves and one big one. It was almost as if the game had accounted for their return and decided to kick things off with a bang. Reyland smirked at Dub's comment, Totoro was the one doing the hard work he humorously thought before nodding at his recommendation to attack. It was time to give his orders out, the wolves were out in front so first was to form an offensive line "The small wolves are 1 through 6 starting with the left! Dirk, intercept wolves 2, 3, and 4 in the center. Aster, kill wolf 1 then move to help Dirk. Paralyze and Polak, you two have wolves 5 and 6! After that, go after the white wolf! Chari, get in the white wolf's blindside and hit it hard!" As he shouted these order across the battefield, he loaded an arrow from his quiver but he wasn't finished just yet "Alisea, focus fire on the white wolf and use ice to slow it down! Keep your eyes on those health bars Karma and don't let anyone go below half! Fire a spell at the white wolf but don't use too much mana! Keep Totoro on the smaller wolves Dub and just keep it up!"
Now it was time for Reylan to contribute to the attack, he drew back the bowstring and aimed at the White Wolf and released a power shot intended for its chest area. His body tenses prepared to move at any given sign one of the wolves would be coming for him, just because they had the advantage didn't mean he could let his guard down nor take this lightly. A second arrow was retrieved from his quiver and he took aim at the wolf designated #1 and fired once again, hoping to clear up Aster's target so she could help clean up Dirk's assigned wolves. Some fancy new actions would surely have been helpful but there was no use thinking about that now, he would just have to stick with what's worked so far. He was too busy keeping track of everyone progress to worry about do more than what he already done.

*Thick Skin (1/Marauder) - User gains small damage reduction for a few seconds after being damaged. Does not stack with itself. Passive. *Vengeful (Level 5 skill) - User gains 25% additional Strength for a few seconds after being hit by a melee attack. Passive. *Strong Stance (Level 5 Skill) - User gains resistance against being knocked off their feet. Passive.
*Tackle (1/Marauder) - User immediately tackles a nearby target, dealing damage and stunning briefly. User and target both move forward a bit and user ends up in melee range with the target. 50MP.
Paralyze equip his kite shield and mace as he stands at the front line. The kite shield will provide him a good defense while the mace will provide him some heavy hitting. Combine with the data that he had collected from the training with the boar, Paralyze should be able to lift about 300 lbs. And that is without his passive. So with each point added to strength, Paralyze should be able to lift about 15 lbs. And based on his knowledge, the wolf should not be heavier than that. But still, they win the game of number. Paralyze push the front line as another Trainer just do whatever he did right there. His pet just created a huge hole of impact from its stomp. And by doing that, the trainer may gain a lot of attention from the enemies, but why should Paralyze stopped a man from killing himself? The giant bunny and the man would be a great distraction while him cleaning the three wolf.
Just then, the voice from the GM delivering his order. Without any disagreement, Paralyze approached the two beasties in front of him. The kite shield covered half of his right body while revealing the other half. The shield would allow him to knock out the wolf 6 if its attempt to attack his neck. And the mace would take a normal swing at the wolf 5 while Paralyze letting Polak deal with wolf 6. . But just to ensure himself not getting kill by teammates, Paralyze shout to Polak: β You charge at 6, and I will take 5.β And with that, Paralyze charged toward wolf 5 with all his might. Surely, it would be bloody to receiving something charge in that could deliver more than 150kg of force. Paralyze could feel something soft impacted against his shield as he strikes the hill wolf 5 with all of his force. No sadness. Just pure desire. Greed and the sensation of taking life from something are the fuel for the thing that will come after. And without consideration, Paralyze used his mace and brutally smashed the wolf that is in his range. Summary:

Dawn broke over the city once again. Β The thin, gray strands of light gave way to pale, golden rays that filled all Genesis. Β Sunlight bathed the hills and prairies, warmed the walls and buildings--and filtered through a set of half-open shutters to fall gently upon a pair of sleeping maidens. Β Feeling the sun caressing her face, Aliseaβs eyelids fluttered open in welcome. Β Another new day began, and she was still alive to greet it.
Aster, too, was still alive. Β This particular morning Alisea found her companionβs calves laid across her abdomen. Β That proved much less of a challenge for the magess to extricate herself from than yesterdayβs; quietly sliding toward the edge of the bed, Alisea moved out from under the swordswomanβs legs and stepped onto the floor. Β βThat was remarkably easy. Β Her skin is so smoothβ¦ Is that natural, or part of being in the game?β
The magess rubbed the sleepiness from her eyes, then stood and stretched. Β The muscles in her shoulders groaned, reminding her of the work she had done the day prior. Β Frowning at the annoyance, Alisea set to work loosening the muscles. Β Before long she had started into a familiar routine of light exercises and stretches--a mini-workout she had worked out for basketball season. Β Arms, legs, core, cardio--each set of muscles in turn flexed, extended, and relaxed. Β After a few minutes she had a light sheen of sweat coating her body.
Aster awoke slowly, almost as though she were rising out of a pool of warm, soothing water: little by little, and with a reluctance that hinted at how comfortable the innβs beds must be. Simulation or not, the warm covers made a cozy trap which she was loathe to escape. Rolling over a bit, she sat up, rubbing at her eyes blearily and realizing that she had once again managed to sprawl herself across the entire bed. Well, cβest la vie. Alisea seemed to have survived. In fact, she was apparently thriving; going through some exercises, presumably to loosen up for the upcoming dungeon. Aster tried not to stare, though it was an effort, given Aliseaβs impressive posing and lightly-clothed form.
βHeya, Alisea. βMorning.β She slid out of the covers reluctantly, sitting on the edge of the bed and rubbing at her eyes. βUgh. Why did I agree to wake up so early? This is supposed to be a game. Survival or no, I should get another couple hours.β She realized she was rambling to herself, and looked back to Alisea, this time less surreptitiously. βIβllβ¦ uhβ¦ go get us some breakfast. Do you want anything?β
βNo, thank you. Β I plan to grab something with Reylan when we drop off the Guild Registration papers.β
βAlright. Iβll be back in a little, then. I think I saw that they had a scone on the menu, that sounds pretty good.β She started out the door, eyes still adjusting a bit to being awake. Behind her, the magess broke off her workout, but the reaction was too late; Aster had the door open. Β As she stepped into the hallway, she realized that she felt a bit cold. Her feet, particularly. Looking down, she warmed up almost instantly with embarrassment as she realized she had failed to re-equip her shoes and clothing. It was a strange step to matter in a game. In most video games, sleeping in armor was normal. As it was a bit uncomfortable here, off it came, at least for sleep. Hmm. Sheβd have to invest in some pajamas at some point.
With a few hurried taps at her menu, and after ducking back into her room, she equipped her clothes and, as an added measure, her armor, as some sort of over-compensation.
The bar was a bit busier than Aster had expected, but even so, she managed to purchase some mediocre peppermint tea, and a warm scone, as well as some additional provisions in the form of dried meats and biscuits. It set her back a whopping 60 renn, but it would make her much more comfortable in the coming dungeon. Β She turned to head back to the room, but stopped.
Walking out the door were Reylan and Alisea. Β Again she had arrested his arm, holding onto it as they left. Aster was once again a bit confused, but didnβt want to address it either way. Best to leave things be.
Thoughts were racing around Aliseaβs head faster than horses around a derby track. Β Reylan asked her to act as his Vice-Commander; that would mean responsibility to the party, to the Guild. Β She was no stranger to it, but did she want that? Β She might have to stop teasing Reylan--not because she thought it improper, but because she suspected certain new members actually thought she was serious.
Then there was the portrait Reylan had drawn. Β If it was anything like what he had shown Alisea at breakfast, it had to be stunning. Β Aster had certainly been impressed when he showed her last night. Β And she had seemed really happy with it, too. Β The magess really wanted to ask about it.
Dub and Karma were both still here. Β That was good; Reylan would be happy. Β They were never close to each other, but they were both still in the party. Β Hopefully there wouldnβt be any more incidents--so long as Dub didnβt claim he was an elf, he couldnβt have any lies bigger than last time that would surface. Β Then Karma wouldnβt have a reason to open his mouth.
Of course Alisea couldnβt leave out thoughts on the new party members. Β Paralyze and his friend (she needed to quietly ask Reylan for his name) looked to be front-line fighters. Β The protection was a good thing; yet the magess felt a little disappointment that now it would be less likely for a wolf to break through that she could engage. Β The final arrival was Chari. Β A girl. Β That was a tremendous relief. Β Better yet, she was a rogue; and Alisea could see in her demeanor the same playfulness that had first drawn the magess to Fyaira.
For now, Alisea was walking with Aster. Β βCan I see it?β Alisea asked suddenly, without giving the swordswoman the slightest bit of context.
The lack of context caught Aster off guard, and she mentally scrolled through her inventory. What did she have that was of interest? Her sword, her dagger and blindfold from the chest, and⦠Oh.
βSure, no problem.β She glanced at Reylan momentarily, before pulling up the painting he had done of her, pulling it into being out of her inventory, right in front of her. The painting was quite large, and she carefully caught it as it fell from midair. βHere it is. This is what you meant, right?β What else could she mean?
βYeah.β Β Alisea didnβt take it from Asterβs hands; rather, the magess pressed up against Aster, even wrapping an arm around her back, so they could look at it side by side. Β The magess was stunned. Β The work was beautiful, the likeness remarkable. Β Most of all, though--the feature that immediately captivated her attention--was Asterβs face.
βThe eyes,β she amended aloud. Β βThe way he drew your eyesβ¦ is perfect.β
Aster blushed, though the painting was not her own work. She scolded herself for the involuntary action, which was becoming almost reflexive. βAhβ¦ well, thank you. Reylan did an excellent job, though I think he may have embellished me a bit. My hair never behaves that wellβ¦β She tried to keep up a serious face, but a giggle slipped out, and she shook her head at the weak critique she had afforded. βI never thought I would find myself laughing before risking my life. I guess having friends agrees with me.β She looked up at both, and cheerily asked βShall we see about clearing a dungeon?β
Alisea couldnβt deny it in the slightest, nor would she want to: Β Asterβs expression was surpassingly cute. Β Though the magess had brought up the question for another reason--in addition to seeing the portrait (she really had been intensely curious)--seeing her friend look so happy, Alisea let it go for now. Β She cast a quick glance over at Reylan, then back to Aster, and finally just smiled contentedly. Β βYes. Β We shall!β
Equipment: Cloth Armor Cloak Air-Walkerβs Sandals - Grants user the ability to take up to 5 steps in the air. Clothes (Cheap) Wooden Talisman
Entering the dungeon once more, Alisea could feel that short moment of shifting. Β It wasnβt spectacular, but it was enough to alert a player she had entered an instance dungeon. Β And by all rights it should have been the same dungeon they had gone into before. Β In most respects it was; but the most important one, the one growling at the party right now, was vastly different. Β There were, not three, but six hill wolves staring them down, with a white wolf at their center.
Aliseaβs mind raced. Β I need to contain that white wolf. Β Freeze. Β Reylan is a good leader. Β Why so many? Β I should burn what I can; the fire would undo the ice. Β Is it because our levels went up? Β No, that would be ridiculous. Β There would be no point in making multiple dungeons if every one scaled with your level. Β Then why? Β Because the party is larger? Β That is certainly possible. Β But it would mean larger groups do not inherently make dungeon runs easier. Β If anything, the additional players will make this harder. Β Then the rewards will be greater? Β Otherwise there was no purpose in gathering a party.β
An Icicle Shot against the White Wolf. Β A Fire Strike against Wolf 4 to give Dirk some support. Β Then a crazy idea crossed Aliseaβs mind. Β βChari! Β Heads up; I will bring the wolf to you!β Β And calling upon the Darkness magic she had learned, she did exactly that; reaching out with a Nether Pull, Alisea yanked the large lupine off its balance, past the frontline fighters occupied with the smaller wolves, and within a dozen paces of herself--in prime position for a lightly armored brawler to begin dissecting it. Β Not to mention easy range for more casting, starting with a Frostbite.
Now if Dubstepp would stop wasting his mana on something he should have done before coming here, they might be able to capture this beast. Summary: Icicle Shot (Int 18) on White Wolf Fire Strike (Int 18) on Hill Wolf 4 Nether Pull (Int 18) on White Wolf Frost Bite (Int 18) on White Wolf
As of tonight, Karma was now a member of the soon to be official Legion of the Wolf guild; A guild founded by one of his first acquaintance Reylan who so far has been leading the group to victory thanks to his ability to keep a cool head whenever shit hits the fan. After Reylan announced that the soon to be official guild would be traveling through the Savage Fields again tomorrow Karma then decided to head in early before reading Alisea text which had some scratching his head. "She seriously wants me to make her shorter skirt to fight in?" Karma asked out loud as he begins to wonder how short should her skirt be? Knee low at least? He definitely doesn't want to make her skirt too short otherwise she may think he a pervert.
So Karma first begins working on Alisea's new clothes.
like last time I had random number generator give me a number between one and hundred. If the RNG(Random number Generator) give me number lower then 26 it would have been a fail. The number it gives me was 58.
Item lost: 2 common fabric: Item gain: Clothes Alisea's outfit was a success, Now Karma needs to make some First Aid for tomorrow Dungeon run.
First attempt:80 Second attempt:5(fail) Thrid attempt:51 Fourth attempt:17 Fifth attempt:68
After rolling the dice 12 times Karma finally got a bad roll and botched making the second First aid. Thought he was a little frustrated after failing Karma continue working on completing the First Aid batch that went off with a hitch.
Items lost: 4 common fabrics Items Gain: 4 First Aids
With that Karma decided to call it a night before he stays up too long and gets hit with a health penalty.
At 7:00 a.m Karma was then awoken by his alert clock, Yesterday Karma woke up at 6:00 so he could run all over town before it would get crowded, but like i mention before Karma didn't want to risk a sleep deprive debuff. With 2 more hours to prepare, Karma soon rush to get his battle equipment, before heading out of the inn. Karma then bought some Bread from a food vendor so he could eat breakfast while running through the town.
Spells gained: Attuned to Oneβs Body (3)(-75) Enfeeble (4)(-100) Restore Vitality (5)(-125) Cleanse Magic (2)(-50) Mana Payback (3)(-75) Create Water (1)(-25) Aquatic Affinity (3)(-75) Water Whip (4)(-100)
Total Reni spented: 625(720 remaining) OCC note: Do not look at the Raw part of this if you have OCD...
At first, Karma was planning on just planning on buying the spells and action from yesterday and surviving his next Dungeon run on just those, but yesterday Karma made a killing by selling 10 First aid for 9 gold giving him more than enough buy 8 new spells. The only problem was explaining how he could effort to pay for so many magic lessons to his guild; maybe if it comes down to it Karma could just lie and say he took out a loan to pay for the lessons...no he shouldn't do that...that was the type of dishonesty he got mad at Dubstep about. Maybe it would be better to tell them the truth when the time comes.
Items bought: 30 common fabric and 10 fresh water Reni spent: (310) Total Reni remaining: 410
After getting all the stuff he needs Karma then meet the party in front of the gate as instructed he waved to everyone before setting Alissa a trade request. Karma then gives her some brown and white clothes that mimic her starter clothes and had a skirt that when down slight above the knee. Karma then looked away nervously while blush and scratching his head. "I hope they are to your likely." Karma told her seeming embarrassed. "You do not have to pay me cause i didn't use any dyes nor heard a full request."
Before Karma knew it a new life or death trial of skill and judgment had begun, only this time Karma was less nervous and more confident in the group's ability to complete this dungeon without any casualties. "Alright, we can do this. All we have to do is have faith in each oth-" Karma then stop talking and walking when he saw a White Wolf like the one they fought the other day. "Am I the only one seeing that? Why is that here should it be in the other hall?" He asked the group. Karma begins to wonder why this White wolf was here instead of guarding the treasure in the hallway like yesterday, but for now, that doesn't matter it was time to focus.
Reylan ordered the noobie Chari to take on the wolf which, to be honest Karma didn't like, Chari since was a rogue...then again Chari's health was higher than his right now, so, for now, Karma is just going to roll with it and hope for the best. "Before you do that let me give you a strength buff. Karma said before point his wooden staff at her, the end of his staff then begins to glow green.
::Strenghten::
Karma said before a green ray shot at Chari which increase her strength stat by 5. "When your health falls around 500 or 600 for that matter i want you to get the hell up outer of there until i heal you. By the way, that thing did 200 points of damage to Dirk while he was wearing leather armor and 300 points to Dubstep's pet who didn't have any protection, I'm also going to use my Enfeeble make it do less damage so you may be able to take more damage. So maybe you would be able to take around 1 or 4 shots before you need to withdraw...but take that with a grain of salt." Karma told her sounding worry for her.
After talking to Chari, Karma then wait until Chari or who draw the aggression of the wolf before he pointed his staff at the white wolf and made the end of his staff glow a bright purple.
::Enfeeble::
Karma then fired a purple ray that would reduce the White Wolf strength by 5; Afterwards, Karma then move to a position where he could watch everyone's health without being to close enemy. Though he has thought about using Water Whip on two of the Hill Wolf he didn't want to risk drawing there aggration and getting too distracted trying to defend himself to provide healing. Plus he was ordered to save mana by Reylan. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Summary: Use Strengthen on Chari(-50) Use Enfeeble on White wolf(-100) Moves to a position where he could watch everyone's health better.

Theo was busy demolishing his shepherd's pie, and thanks to a long day's work, he hadn't thought about listening in on the conversation that Reylan and Alisea were having until it was too late - Alisea had passed him with a large mouthful of pie, before giving him a good night farewell. Theo responded with a wave of his hand, doing his best to keep the same upbeat personality that he was known for. Even though the last few days had weighed heavily on him, his heart felt a lot lighter today - maybe it was because he actually helped someone, like Dirk would. He bought this game to emulate his hero, after all - his real life was boring... Or at least it seemed that way. But safety could be described as pretty boring, compared to the last few days... Finishing his pie unceremoniously, he was about to head to sleep for the night, when Reylan walked up to him as well.
"Hey Dirk, I got the treaty if you want to sign it! The Legion of the Wolf couldn't go on without our trusty paladin."
Flexing a bicep and placing his other hand on the muscle, Theo gave out a hearty laugh-
"You can count on me! The D in Dirk stands for DEPENDABILITY!"
Theo gave a hearty laugh after shouting this out, timing it so that Julia was not present - whether she was in the bathroom or the kitchen, Theo had no idea. He quickly signed the document, before rising from his seat. He soon turned to leave, before stopping and speaking out in a much calmer voice.
"The name isn't as heroic as I'd like, but it suits us. You especially. Night Reylan."
Giving a wave as he walked away, Theo headed to his room, somewhat calmer than usual. Today was... honestly the most honest work that Theo had done in his life. Unequipping his armor, he slid under the covers, sleeping softly in preparation for the dungeon ahead of them.
Waking up at 6, Theo quickly headed down to the shops, praying that the rumor he heard while serving the tables was correct - thankfully, he found that a player somehow managed to get their hands on a full suit of plate armor, and was selling it for only 80% of the market price! The player, apparently named Kcorex, was somewhat mysterious, but Theo honestly didn't mind. After all, everyone wore masks. Upon meeting the robed man, the exchange went without a hitch - so smoothly, in fact, Theo was honestly worried that the armor was stolen or something. Still, it had set him back a pretty penny, but now he actually had some REAL protection. Quickly rushing back to the Inn, he equipped his new armor and set out with his companions (and a few new faces) to the dungeon.
The dungeon wasn't much different from how it was only a few days ago - other than the fact that a few exits have been closed off. Did someone clear them and they didn't respawn yet or something? Or was the admin "helping" them? Theo didn't have much time to deliberate over this, as many foes quickly appeared in front of them all. Following Reylan's instructions, Theo was thankful he was in the lead of the party - his slow speed didn't hold him back too much as he slashed into wolf 3, and as soon as he finished that, thrust his blade into wolf 2. Wolf 4, on the other hand, was his by a ball of fire coming from the side - presumably Alisea. Not knowing if he could hit the beast reliably, Dirk moved directly in front of wolf 4, prepared to leap in front of it should it try to move around him. Since wolf 2 and 3 were aggroed on him, they shouldn't be a problem... for now.
"Try not to draw too much aggro - I don't want to waste my mana this early in!"
A hearty chuckle escaped his lips, and Theo grew slightly concerned that he didn't even intend to say that - he simply said it on his own, in a near perfect impression of Dirk. Thoughts of his Acting Skill and the Rosary floated in his mind, but he quickly shook it off, focusing on the pain he would feel soon.

Chari found that meeting a new person is like opening a mystery box, you never know what you're going to get and it could better or worse than what you hoped for. Dubstepp did not disappoint from the short conversation they've had. He sometimes cloaked his humor in a veil of seriousness but he was a funny and clever dude. With every drink of alochol, they both seemed to loosen up even more. Her green eyes squinted suspiciously at his love of dubbed anime and step-ladders, a sly grin on her lips. She turned her head away from him as if disgusted, crossing her arms "I can't believe you just said that." She feigned being offended, before quickly smiling and laughing once more. She nodded at his response to the pot pie she ordered "Actually, its your Renn." As the pot pie was delivered, she held up the corresponding Renn coins in her hand, with a devilish smile, that she had pick-pocketed off Dubstepp when she sat down next to him. Not wanting to upset her new friend, she returned the renn she got back to him.
Not long after that, her food arrived as she began to eat when a silver-haired guy walked over to their table. Suddenly she understood, Dubstepp must be part of that group over there by the corner. Chari was excited to go to the dungeon with them, it would be the first time she had entered one. Just thinking of the danger and the thrill of fighting monsters in a row was fantastic "I'll join your expedition Reylan but not your guild." She replied happily, a guild was a commitment she didn't want right now. There were too many things to see and people to meet that she didn't want to be tied down. These guys were however the first group she would be a part of that actually want to go dungeon-raiding. Perhaps she would give them more than the single day she'd given her other parties. The guild-master left, presumably to go to bed, and Dubstepp left not long after. She spoke some variation of good-bye to each of them. After finishing her beer and pot pie, she decided it was time for her to hit the hay as well. With a brief exchange with the inn owner, she got her room and proceeded upstairs.
The whole act of simply un-equipping her clothes and gear instead of manually taking it of still felt strange to Chari. She didn't like the idea that a few simple presses of a button could remove it all but she supposed no one else could do it. In a bit of panic, she rushed to the door and made sure it was properly locked before sighing in relief. Chari then proceeded to lightly slap herself on the cheek, she promised herself she wouldn't think about the real world. Instead she focused on the future dungeon run as laid down on the soft sheets on the bed, her hands gripping the cloth tightly in eager anticipation. New experiences, new faces. That was her reason for pushing forward without any regrets. Slowly she fell asleep, the covers too warm for her, thinking of Tomorrow and the phrase that drew her to this game in the first place: Adventure Awaits
Chari found herself in a position that she couldn't believe she had found comfortable. The time read 7:00 A.M. pulling up the menu, strangely enough these past four nights have been the best she's slept in a long time. She considered getting a bath then realized it was kinda futile if they were going to the Dungeon. Her clothing and gear were equipped quickly, the excitement showing in her smile. A dungeon full of monsters to be slain, traps to dodge, loot to claim, and people to get to know...that was what adventure was all about. Eager to learn about her new party, she headed down to the bar and started speaking with the staff there. First she simply introduced herself and made simple conversation, then she began asking questions about the members of the Legion of the Wolf.
After that little bit of information gathering, she grabbed a quick meal of the sheperd's pie that one guy seemed to enjoy and a water before heading out. She had been holding on to a little cache of Renn in case she needed something, but surely she would get some more at the dungeon. She purchased two level five rogue abilities, Fatal Strike and In for a Penny, In for a Pound of Flesh, to give her a better array of actions. After spending all that Renn, she decided to make it up by moving into the crowd of people in the market area and used pick-pocket on two people. The first was rather simple, she had simple snatched the Renn when she was in a large group. The second she pretended to trip and fell into the arms of a male player, where she took his Renn as he made sure she was alright. She made quick responses to get away, their loss was her gain but such was the world of Talrae.
She went back to the inn to wait for the others, not having anything else really planned. When Reylan came back, he made sure to give names to all the people she would be fighting alongside. It wasn't really a surprise that only two other members were girls there, from what she had seen the ratio of this game leaned heavily to the male side. A quick wave was sent to Dubstepp as they started on the journey to the Dungeon, he was the only one she knew so far. Chari hardly noticed how fast she walking, almost leading the group despite this being her first time to the dungeon. She was just ready to throw herself into the heat of battle and beat this dungeon. Rumors of the long travel time had reached her so she knew it wouldn't for awhile until they actually got there. She decided to admire the scenery as she considered who to talk to, time usually went past quickly when you were chatting it up. Chari would soon have her choice decided for her.
"Chari, right?" came a call from behind. Alisea had started walking quickly to catch up to the rogue. "Reylan gave you our names, but I want to introduce myself properly." The magess offered her hand for a firm shake. "Alisea, unarmed magess."
Chari twisted her head around to the source of the voice, watching as its owner caught up to her "You got it." she replied quickly, smiling as Alisea then stated her intentions. The smile widened at the strange title she gave herself and took a hold of her hand, giving a strong grip in reply "You got a strong handshake, I like that. I guess you already know my name."
Alisea offered a light giggle. "I have to try. The more we know about each other, the easier it is to work together. Your class is rogue, correct? Do you have any skills that help in identifying traps?" Though Alisea was keeping her face in a calm, friendly smile, there was a light in her eyes she simply couldn't dim. Behind those clear, blue orbs was a mind already whirring with theories and possibilities--and no small measure of scrutinous interest.
Chari nodded in response to the question about her class "That's right, I can steal and back-stab in no particular order." She joked, though it may or may not be true. Mentally she scolded herself for not thinking of traps when she filled out her skills "That would be a good skill to pick up later but no, I don't have anything like that. I can pick pockets and lock pick though." she said with a little too much enthusiasm
A moment of silence passed as Alisea's mind calculated. "Do you think pickpocket works on mobs in this world?" she wondered aloud. "This dungeon held only wolves as far as we found. What other skills do you have? I cannot see a weapon on you right now," the magess commented, gesturing down where neither sheath nor scabbard rested on the redhead's hip.
The period of silence was strange to Chari, she normally would just talk until someone instructed her to stop "It's something I'm eager to try. I've learned however it only works if someone has some Renn to steal, I mean appropriate." She replied coyly, despite picking up that action she would never use it on party member...unless to mess with them "I doubt wolves'll have Renn. Skills? Well I have lip reading, sneaking, acrobatics, throwing, and..." She used her left hand to bend fingers on her right to count, and at the pause she equipped her Kunai in her left hand "Knife-wielding." A flick of the wrist tossed the weapon in the air, flipping several times on its way back down, and nimbly caught it by the handle.
A light shimmer flitted across Alisea's eyes as they followed the arc of the blade, a brightness only there for a moment and quickly gone again. "What a marvelous skillset. Should I stop speaking aloud?" she asked with a grin, partly in jest but entirely ready to do so.
Laughter escaped from Chari at the question, to which she shook her head "Nah, I quite like hearing your thoughts." she smiled. Alisea was fascinating to say the least "Speaking of which, got any interesting ones on the others?" A bit of mischief showed in her eyes.
"Very well; just let me know if you want to practice." The magess cast her eyes over the traveling party. "Where to start... With our leader, probably. Reylan flusters easily, but it would take much more to push him off-balance." There was a brief pause as Alisea evaluated what else she might say. "His hair is naturally white, not dyed. I used to think that was exceptionally rare, but now I met him--and another girl who was probably the same. Then Aster... is very strong. And determined. Dirk is determined, as well; he promised to keep everyone safe, and he gives off the feeling that he can keep that promise."
Again the magess paused, this time looking at Chari. "What about you? What observations have you made, being the newest party member?"
Chari made a point to remember the magess's offer before she listened attentively to her thoughts on the party, vibrant green eyes flicking to each individual as they were mentioned taking mental notes. The more information she could acquire the better off she would be, that was always her mindset. Aster...she was the one who spoke to her last night briefly she believed. Chari blinked a few times, not expecting the question to be boomer-ranged back to her "Well I have only interacted with a few so far. Dubstepp seems pretty easy-going and likes to express his cleverness in jokes. Reylan is a bit too honest I think, people that nice either have a secret or went through tough times. Aster only said a few words to me but I can't say she made me feel especially welcome, not that I really hold it against her. That's all so far." She shrugged at the end, there was still more she wanted to know about everyone here.
The magess had little more to share after that. She made some observations as they traveled: a comment on the way Paralyze kept glancing around as they walked; a small chuckle when the pair noticed Karma stutterstepping to keep the distance between himself and Dubstepp; and when Aster caught up to Reylan to ask him something, Alisea whispered a question to Chari asking her thoughts on romance.
Chari found Alisea's comments to be highly entertaining, it made the long trek feel like nothing. Her thoughts on romance? The question caught her off-guard but she was not afraid to answer "It's a wonderful thing, two people caring so deeply for each other that it evolves into something more. I think it's something most people would like to experience." Herself included, romance had been...tainted for her. She was glad when their conversation moved onto to different subjects after that.
Alisea explained what they had found in the dungeon before, they swapped what little they had learned of the system's rules--Alisea even confiding in Chari her thoughts on a thinking engine that was semi-arbitrary in giving rewards--and they laughed about some of the ridiculous battles they had already been a part of. Minutes and miles flew past--and neither party breathed a word about life a week ago. They had no reason to. For all intensive purposes, this was both their lives now and thinking about life before would only bring sadness. Trauma, however, seemed to follow here no matter where she tried to run but if she kept moving forward, it would never catch her.
The edges of her fingers tingled with excitement at the sight of the pack of wolves blocking their advance, that sweet drug adrenaline began to drip into her bloodstream. She held the Kunai tightly in her left hand, bouncing on her toes eager to get into the thick of combat with her eyes zeroed in on the large white one. If she could have made a coat from its hide, she would gladly do so. A bit of envy filled her as Dubstepp initiated the fight, she wanted the taste of that first strike for herself. Her attention however turned to the de facto party leader, Reylan, as he barked orders. A wide grin crossed her lips at her instructions, she was going to do that anyway.
Chari glanced at the one named Karma, offering a small smile. The guy was thoughtful, she'd give him that. It was kinda cute that he was so worried about her, but she supposed that was his job as healer. She did however take his data into careful consideration but it wasn't like she had been sitting on her ass these past few days "My plan is not to get hit in the first place you see." Her voice light-hearted. She took a few steps towards him and placed a firm hand on his shoulder, still smiling "Thanks for the help though. I don't mind you making things a little easier for me." After that exchange, she got into a lowered stance so she could accelerate faster at the given moment. That boost he gave her, well she definitely felt more powerful right now.
"I'm on it!" She happily yelled back to Alisea as he pushed off her stance with explosive force, the range of movement her acrobatics and agility gave her was half the thrill of battle. The distance between her and her target was closed in seconds and she summoned a shuriken into her right hand, and aimed for great wolf's right eye. Once within range, her knees bent to build power and with a quick movement she jumped high into the air landing on the back of the White Wolf's. Her legs squeezed around the torso of the wolf tightly and her right hand clutched the snowy fur tightly before she drove her Kunai into its spine, using her Fatal Strike action "Hyyaaah!" She yelled as it sunk in. The weight of her body constantly shifting and adjusting for the White Wolf's attempts to dislodge her. The edge of her Kunai dug into its back three more times, her face showing someone having the time of their life along with the constant stream of laughter.

After yet another long, restless night of waking up nearly every hour, Polak got up out of bed at an early 5 AM. He had intended to go to the town hall, pick up a quest or two, and then grind for half the day. With a dungeon raid planned, however, he decided to prepare for that instead. Of course, he disliked having to use any more of his money, but he didn't want to be unprepared for the raid... and if he was lucky, the reward could be enough to pay off a large amount of his debt anyway.
Although he got up early, Polak did not have much to prepare, he had a small list of items to buy and sell: buy two red potions, two pieces of bread, and a waterskin, then sell the dagger he got from Petar and his old leather armor. After completing his grocery list, he decided to take a quick detour to the Mage Tutor NPC and with the money he had left, learned the Energize(3) passive before heading to the front gate of the city.
Upon getting past the gate, Polak took out his wand and casted Summon, when he was met by a white horse rearing and nickering at the sight of Polak. "Easy, girl, easy..." He patted Edelweiss' muzzle to calm her down and casted another spell, Make Permanent Monster. Then he took out a piece of bread, broke it in two, and held one half towards Edelweiss while taking a bite out of the other. It did not take long for both to finish the small halves, and then, with a slight frown on his face, unsummoned Edelweiss. He then sat down and used Meditate twice to fully recover his MP. Then, he looked at the time and saw he still had plenty of time until 9 AM. With nothing else to do left, Polak stretched out his legs, put his hands behind his head, and laid down on the grass, waiting until he was eventually woken up by his allies and ventured forth to the dungeon.

Polak raised his shield in front of him, spear leaning on the right side, as wolves crept to engage the party. Under the order of Reylan, Polak approached the two wolves along side Paralyze. Paralyze went in first, tackling Wolf 5 then shouting to Polak to deal with the other wolf. "Loud and clear!" Polak pointed his finger at Wolf 6 and casted Finger Lightning, then recasted it at Wolf 5 with Energize's effect. With his movement speed boosted, he quickly closed the gap between him and Wolf 6 then used Charge, ramming the pitiable thing with his shield.
While the wolf was stunned, Polak took the chance and summoned Edelweiss. He whistled to catch Edelweiss' attention and waved his spear in front of Edelweiss, then he whistled again at a higher pitch and pointed his spear at the White Wolf pulled in by Alisea and currently mounted by Chari. Edelweiss reared and neighed, using Shocking Charge on the White Wolf. With Edelweiss helping out the backline, Polak turned his attention back to the wolf, preparing to attack it.

Plenty was happening all around. Players surged forward, meeting the wolves, a mighty horse reared up against one, and commands and encouragement sailed like urgent clouds over the battlefield. Amid all this, Aster felt peace. She knew her role, and she would fulfill it with the drive and concerted effort for which she had begun to be known. With a neat, controlled motion, she swept her blade free from its scabbard, then, like a spring uncoiling from too much tension, threw herself forward, a scream of rage growing already in the back of her throat.
She met wolf 1 immediately, and delivered a two-handed blow across its maw, then changed her grip and slashed in a spinning motion against its forelegs. She ended the motion crouched slightly, her katana gripped lightly, ready to be held more firmly once it met again with the artificial fur of the beast threatening her. It was odd, seeing a wolf attack after they had chosen the beast as their sigil, but the thought didn't get the chance to take root in her mind. Before it could attack her, she gritted her teeth and braced herself, supporting the flat of her blade with her off hand. Involuntarily, she closed her eyes, relying upo her memory of the arena as the creature bore down on her.
SUMMARY! -Aster hits wolf 1 twice, once with a two-handed attack, once with a one-handed. -She sets herself up to block, but also closes her eyes, b/c she dumb sometimes.
Combined arms, combined strength... teamwork did half of the work for defeating the beasts. The increased numbers and levels of the Players served nicely for making easy work on the number of foes. The decision to debuff the White Wolf right off the bat turned out to be a smart one, as it was unable to shake off the Rogue that had mounted it. It growled menacingly before being pulled forward a few meters by the Mage's shadow magic. As it got closer, it did manage to swipe it's claws at the giant rabbit and the Paladin. However, strength had left it's limbs and only light damage was dealt. Rest of the smaller cousins, Hill Wolves, were easily taken care of. Most were immediately killed off through a combination of might, magic and blades. One in particular literally flew across the battlefield at the brutal bashing of a mace died immediately. The remaining 3 wolves howled together into the air before attacking their nearest offenders. Although small, Hill Wolves were no pushovers. One ran towards the swordswoman and rammed her with its body, however her well-managed stance saw to it that she got away with minor damage. Another swiped its claw at the Paladin while the last one bit the Marauder's arm.
