Alice Lynche

Location Her Cottage

Hearing the soft thump of the mannequin falling, Alice frowned as another joined it. Now she knew she hadn't bumped them or accidentally knocked them over. This time anyways. Setting them upright, and moving them to a corner out of the way. She had been rather embrassed by the messy and forlorn state of her cottage. Not something the neighbors should see. But Alice was a bit chaotic and scatterbrained especially with her work. Giving a displeased sniff, she frowned and sniffed again at the sulfur. "Oh dear..."

Moving about and searching through several cabinets. She pulled out a can of air freshener. Something she didn't care to use, but really didn't want to smell sulfur. And if the entire house started smelling like that- there goes the resale vaule. After a good walk and squirt about the house, the seamstress sat back down. Having turned the old record player on while doing her walk around. Soon the soft sound of jazz filled the cottage. She honestly enjoyed the music. Though classical was her next choice.

Joey couldn't for the life of him understand Liv's decision to stay behind, despite the "out of the ordinary" happenings in the area, but too each his or her own. With the other townsfolk present, she was likely to be safe as long as she avoided wandering away, something he was sure she new better that to do.

Ignoring Liv's flippant remarks about his crush, he turned to regard Taylor.

"Pfft, scared? Naw, was being smart in deciding to be scared at home. Let's get out of here." he jibbed starting towards the cars.

@Morose@FantasyChic@Infamous Auror When Declan had fallen and he picked up his phone he would see that the screen was now shattered and spider web cracks were all over the screen, he would certainly have a hard time trying to explain what happened to his phone. Jenna wasn't that far off from when she 'fell', but Declan would certainly feel weaker the closer he got to Finley his vision would get very blurry as well. Finley would see some weird markings along the wall, like someone had etched them into the wall with a rock Jenna would see them as well which would be in the book that she had. Finley would also receive a new vision, it was in the abandoned house and she would see the body of James laid down on the bottom of the basement floor.

@BlueSky44 As Lydia ran she would get the feeling that something was watching her, the run back to the center of town was pretty quick she would hear the kitten hissing in Lydia's ear. But it wasn't towards her, however the cat seemed to be fixated on what was behind her Lydia would see the police station and see Sheriff Bradley about to get ready to get into his car.

@LadyRunic Alice would be successful in getting the rotten egg smell out of her small house, however the smell started to come back again though much worse this time around. Even if she sprayed the house down with as much air freshener she could it would leave this time. Then several more things would fly off the shelves, and tables flying across the room, if Alice looked towards the window she would see that creepy ass kid again, eyes full on black smiling evilly as a book would hit Alice on the head. She would hear a very creepy and evil childish laugh from the window and then everything stopped including the smell.

Abe looked towards Harry as he started to listen in on the PI and what information that he had, he shook his head slightly towards him. Abraham honestly didn't really pay much attention towards Riley, he knew of her and did wave towards her whenever he stopped by the bed and breakfast. But other then that Abraham didn't have any formal contact with the girl, but the information that he had given him was interesting. "I honestly wouldn't know ive seen her around town and had small talk but don't know her all that well or her personal life."

Abraham then started to think for a moment before digging into his pocket and pulled out the torn piece of clothing that he had found. "Found this, on the ground was going to go back in town to hand it to the officers in town. Maybe hers, and also found a few foot prints in the ground." Abe said thinking it could possibly be useful to share information and maybe work together, they did have the same goals to find out what happened to the girl.

She said towards him, she looked over towards Taylor and Joey for a moment feeling bad for abandoning her friends before yelling out towards them. "Hey also text me when you guys get back safely in town please?" Olivia asked she felt bad for dragging them both up here to the lake all for nothing pretty much.

Olivia's attention then went back towards Kosara asking if she had ever heard of the King Solomon legends, she shook her head slightly towards her. "Cant say that I have, most of the time I just go for biology books and medical books." She said, her ultimate goal was to be a medical examiner finding the cause of death of someone interested her the most and getting justice to those who died in some violent way as well if it came to that as well.

Olivia felt Clifford nudging her several more times groaning slightly as she looked at him, and nodded. "He really wants me to take him home, i'll see you around." She said before turning her attention back towards Clifford and waving him to follow her and started to make her way back to her car.

She was curios about what she knew of Riley and waved her over to offer her a seat.

"What can you tell me about Riley?" Jeanna asked, she had information from her parents and some of her other friends in town but she hadn't yet gotten the chance to talk to Miranda yet, and maybe get some information out of her was well and maybe she had some ideas about her disappearance. "And any ideas of her disappearance as well could help greatly as well."

Kosara Koleva

Location: Lake

Kosara was rather curious about Olivia and her canine companion, after all her arm was giving her alarming signals like a safety dam before overflow. Yeah no way in hell these two weren't supernaturals, especially with the way the canine was acting." That's a rather smart and impressive companion, you've got there, Olivia." Kosara stated in passing and smile." Do take care of him, don't let him get into troubles~"

"Well you really should, you'd be surprised the amount of ancient wisdom and knowledge contained within those legends of old, especially if you locate good records and not modernized cut down ones. There's always things that might help you in pretty much everything you come across. Such knowledge should be always sought after." She smiled, returning to her devil's trap making as Olivia and wolfie moved to leave.

"Hey, don't forget to keep out of the woods area at night! The moonlight flashes in almost silvery reflections at the hunter's weapons and if they mistake you for an animal if you do not wear proper clothing or warned hte proper authorities, they might injure you or worse!" She warned with a huge almost innocent smile." We don't want to ruin someone's life, right!"

Finley Alestair

Location: Silver Mine

Finley heard the voice call out too. It seems Jenna WAS in the mind. Why she didn't respond to their calls before was still a puzzle, but judging by the sound (and the curse word) Jenna must be hurt. Before she could react, Declan was out of her arms and hobbling toward the sound. "Hey, you're still hurt! We need to leave!" but her calls fell on deaf ears. So she followed. It sucked being a good person.

As she journeyed, she noticed some weird writing on the walls. She didn't know what the symbols meant, but it was weird they would be in the mine of all places. She took a mental note of them for later, hopefully she would remember. When she turned away, she fell on her knees as another vision entered her mind. This time, she saw the abandoned house again along with a new addition. The weird figures were gone and in their place was the body of James on the floor.

It was clear he was dead or very, very hurt. She found herself somewhat caring. She didn't want death on her mind, especially when she was able to stop it. First, she had to collect her idiot friends. So she jogged along, following Declan and Jenna's voice.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: Silver Mine

Despite pretending to have been in the mine the entire time, Jenna did have some real pain. Her ankle was still aching from her fall in the woods, but at least it would help to sell her story. Hearing Declan say he was coming for her, she couldn't help but smile a bit, yet feel guilty at the same time. She had always loosely suspected that he liked her as something more than a friend - but with all of the chaos in her life, she hadn't had the time to put much thought to it. She was more concerned with the upheaval with the revelation that she had been adopted - that she was a Jones and not a Westbrook.

"Fucking about time," Jenna called out, chuckling weakly. She turned her head to try to get a good look at where Fin and Dec were, only to spot strange markings on the wall. Yet she had seen them before - they were just like the ones in the book she found in Mayor Ryder's desk. Pulling her phone out of her pocket, Jenna took as many photographs as she could of the markings on the wall. She wasn't going to rely on memory. It usually wasn't that accurate anyways when it came to visual matters.

"You okay, man?" Jenna asked, noticing that Declan looked a little worse for wear.

Lydia Weaver

Location: Police Station
Interacting With: Sheriff Bradley

She had to get away from that house. It was way to creepy, and James just died there. Lydia didn't dare stay for very long, in case whatever had killed him was still there. She also knew enough about law enforcement to know that she shouldn't touch anything there. It was a crime scene after all, since there now was a body there, though it probably could be considered one even before they had walked in now that she thought about it.

As Lydia headed towards the station, she heard the kitten in her arms, and it was still hissing. Whatever was in that house, the kitten did not like. She was with him on this one, if only she was a cat, then she'd be able to hiss at the house and run away too. When she reached the station, she saw the Sheriff by his car. "Sheriff," she called out to him as she ran up.

Harry didn't really expect the old man to know anything about the information he gave him, so he couldn't really be disappointed. Yes this was a small town, but that didn't change the fact that people with that large an age gap tended not to interact without some sort of familial tie that obligated a relationship of some sort. He wasn't directly related to Riley, and from the sound of it, none of his potential family would be knowledgeable about the social circles that the missing girl seemed to inhabit most frequently.

"Would you mind allowing me to examine it?" Harry's eyes zeroed in on the clothing, they scanned every bit they could examine. Any little detail could end up being a vital clue if it was really a piece of Riley's clothes, or perhaps even her kidnapper's. The Private I stepped forward, hand outstretched and open. In the back of his head, he made a reminder to write down all the contents of this little interaction down in his notebook before he could have the chance to forget an important detail since he couldn't at that moment.

@Morose@FantasyChic "I'm fine, just a bit dizzy is all theres probably a shit load of dust in here." Declan said jokingly before finally collapsing onto the ground by Jenna's feet. He was still alive and breathing however he had spent to much time in the mine and the silver in the mine had made him to dizzy. It is best to get him out of the mine and get him over to the medical clinic as quickly as possible, and to get those burns cleaned up and checked out as well.

@BlueSky44 Sheriff Bradley was about to get into his car when he heard Lydia running up to him from across the street, he stepped away from the car and closed the car door. "What can I help you with miss?" Sheriff Bradley asked looking towards her for a moment and noticed the kitten in his arms. He gave the kitten a friendly smile, the kitten seemed to now finally calm down and the feeling that she was being followed stopped as well.

Abraham looked at Harry for a moment with a little bit of suspicion, but then again he was a very, very old hunter and trusting people these days if you have never worked with them before you could be very weary of. But figuring that if it was anyway he could help out finding the missing girl Riley he was more then willing to give it a chance. "Yeah here you go." Abe said as he handed the shredded piece of cloth over to him. He started to think about his niece and wonder how she was doing with the devils trap making, he would go and see her once he was done talking.

He was going to eventually turn it into the police and tell them what he had found once he found out more information, and also to find out where that demon had ran off to. That was his primary objective, he started to think of reasons why a demon would want a girl for, the most likely reason though to him was to get a new meat suit. "So have you seen anything weird in this town since you have been here?" Abe asked, Harry would occasionally remember getting the feeling the last day or so that he was being watched while back at the B&B, but other then that Harry wouldn't have seen anything else. Whether he wanted to tell Abe the information or not was up to him or not.

Olivia said giving Kosara a friendly smile as she turned and made her way towards Taylor and Joey. She stopped for a moment and looked over her shoulder towards Kosara for a moment. "Don't worry I was about to get ready and head back to town." Olivia said giving her a friendly smile.

She started to make her way towards her car. "You be careful as well okay?" Olivia said, though she had a feeling that Kosara was suspicious of her for some reason or another. Maybe because she was a werewolf, but no one ever did know about her little curse that happened to her not that long ago.

A twinge of guilt took root in Joey as he stopped short of his car door. So eager he'd been to leave, he hadn't taken into account most of Liv's feelings besides the pragmatism displayed be her decision. Sure she may have put on a brave face now, but this was another day lost without any progress made on the discovering Riley's whereabouts. Who knew how Liv felt but Liv, but he couldn't just ditch her like that.

"Ey, gimme a sec." he said to Taylor before jogging off to Liv's car. He made sure to leave the doors unlocked for her and Sadie.

In a few moment he was at her door.

"Ey Liv,' he breathed. "On second thought, you tryna hang, get lunch or some shit?"

Miranda Burke

Location: Cafe
Interacting with:@NalloreJeanna Grayson

Miranda returned the soft smile of the agent, she seemed nice and polite enough and maybe was more passionate in dealing with this case than one might expect, after all, it was not very often one would see and FBI agent making their way to a small peaceful town like this. It was possible there were secrets to this town and often Miranda knew more than she let on. But the subject of Riley probably was not one of them. Taking the cup to go and sort out a refill Jeanna had motioned for the blonde to sit with her, she nodded but raised the cup first signalling her intent for the refill first.

Once making her way back with a fresh cup of coffee for the agent, Miranda hesitant looking over at her boss but then sat down at the table opposite the agent. Miranda probably had a few ideas of what this upcoming conversation was to be about… More like she knew exactly what it would be about and could not be avoided. She paused a moment looking down and fiddling with her hands as she thought about what to say before she looked up at the agent.

A small smile returned though when she thought about Riley. “Riley… what can I say, she is one of the most amazing kindest souls you will ever meet. Ri is the type of person that would be there for anyone without question or hesitation. She would always smile and be full of happiness, she is smart, beautiful and has a heart of gold.”

Miranda paused for a moment, thinking of Riley had her eyes begin to form tears. “Me and Riley grew up together… She is like a sister to me, I love her and she means the world to me, I can’t imagine anyone here wanted to harm such a lovely girl and it kills me every day knowing she is missing... I just want her to come home.” Miranda then finished, as she controlled herself of any emotional outburst or the urge to just run out there and look for Riley as she wiped away some tears that silently fell down the side of her face.

She kept listening and watching the agent as she then followed up with the next question, it hurt and made her heart sink more, she probably looked horrible right now, and was clearly upset but she soldiered on for the agent, anything could help. “Well, we both always went to the lake god knows how many times, we love watching the stars come out at night, it is so peaceful, I think even you would love the sight and calmness of it.” Miranda stopped in thought for a moment. “We have a couple of camping spots out there to, but it’s always been safe and often we are in a larger group of friends… Look I can’t think of anyone that would want to harm or take Riley away from here, this is a great town with good people, I can’t imagine her running away, her heart has always been here in red lake, if someone took her, then she wouldn’t go willingly.”

Miranda looked pleadingly at the agent. “I keep an eye for Riley every night, I go looking for her, I am sure many people here do, I can see it is effecting many here that one of our own is gone and missing… I just hope she is okay, Please Ma’am, I beg of you… Please find and bring Riley back home.” Moments after Miranda fell silent still upset as she wiped away some more tears that kinda ruined what little makeup she had on, she did her best to keep everything between the two and avoid making too much of a scene.

Kosara Koleva

Location: Lake

Kosara innocently smiled and waved as Olivia went away. Kosara knew that many supernaturals exist alongside humans. There was no other way really, hunters weren't an organized organization under the state so all in all supernaturals blending with humans were allowed the human rights as long as they maintained their facade and to be fair now she had no hatred for those. That said, she'd put every supernatural through the stress to see if they crack. Besides, she doubted any of Riley's friends whom she knew weren't humans, were responsible.

“Ohh well... You're going to display your real nature eventually.” Kosara smiled to herself when Olivia and group were no longer around. Problem was going to be if they decided to join whatever was happening, then they'd have a real issue on their hands, but she decided to leave that for when and if such problem arises. For now she was busy preparing the temporary devil's traps. One was done, so she quickly moved to the other side of the car and started to draw one there too. After all better protect the two sides. She looked back at the direction where Abe and the PI were, wondering if it'd be best for her to head there again, but decided to wait.

Finley Alestair

Location: Silver Mine

Finley ran up just in time to see Declan pass out and Jenna in front of her. Normally, she'd love to chill with her friends in some dark, mysterious mine shaft, but today would not be that day. "Jenna, I'd love to talk and ask you all the questions I have, but what do you say we do that after we get our boy checked out?"

She picked up Declan to the best of her ability. Jenna has injured herself so she wasn't about to ask her to help, but it would be hard to pull Declan on her own. She tried her best, dragging him towards the exit. "Meet at the mine, she says. It'll be fun, she says." Clearly joking, but still a bit ticked off, she tried her best to drag Declan and gather her thoughts. There was still a lot to discuss.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: Silver Mine

Jenna's eyes widened as Declan collapsed. What the hell was wrong with him? She couldn't remember him having a dust allergy or even asthma this severe. Had he been using drugs or drinking? She cast a suspicious eye on him, regretting slightly the way she had twisted her ankle. It had been an accident - a real one - but it'd make getting Declan out of the mine a pain. And the burns? What the hell would cause that?

"Declan, cut the bullshit," Jenna said bluntly. "How'd he get these burns, Finn?" Jenna asked. Biting down on her lip, Jenna aided Finn in picking up their friend. It hurt like hell. It was as if her ankle had turned into liquid fire and she fought back a scream. But that didn't mean she stopped - no, Finn wasn't going to be able to drag Dec out of the mine by herself. Maybe she should've directed them to a ball pit instead, though Dec may have developed a sudden plastic allergy in the mean time.

"Ha ha ha, very funny," Jenna quipped, blinking a bit to keep tears from welling up in her eyes at the pain. She didn't care that this was only going to make the damage to her ankle worse. She'd heal. Declan - whatever the hell was going on with him, he'd need a medical expert quickly. She couldn't fathom a logical cause for it, until she remembered the demon summoning book in her bag. Could a demon have attacked Declan? There were the odd symbols on the walls of the mine - maybe something had attacked him. It'd explain the weirdness of all of this.

"Finn...There's something you should know," Jenna whispered. If the supernatural was attacking Dec, then there was no reason to imagine Finn was safe either. Both of them needed to get out of town for their own safety.

Lydia Weaver

Location: Police Station
Interacting With: Sheriff Bradley

Lydia was glad that she had caught his attention, it was definitely better than going inside the station or trying to stop his car as he started driving. There was the letter that she still had, and that could help her to explain to Sheriff Bradley what had happened. First off though, she had to catch her breath. Running away from who knows what with a kitten in your arms is not exactly very easy. Especially when you had to be careful not to squish the poor thing.

After a moment, she looked up at him and pulled out the letter that had caused her and James to go to that house in the first place. She was really regretting finding that letter in the first place. "Found this letter, a guy and I went to the return address on it. The cellar was open, we went down the stairs, got creeped out, and started to leave again. When I got out the cellar door slammed shut and locked. I tried to open it up again, but... It didn't open again until a few minutes later, and he was dead..." she said, her voice slightly wavering as she said this. Lydia kept petting the kitten, trying to get rid of the image of James' body from her mind.

Harry Kingsfield

Harry accepted the torn piece of clothing gently, so as not to appear like he was trying to snatch the piece of evidence away from him. Honestly, he had no idea what exactly he was going to do with it. It was unknown whether the Red Lake Police Department had a canine unit that he'd be able to utilize for the purpose of determining if the scrap of fabric was even evidence in the first place then trying to track down Riley with it, but he doubted a small county like this had the resources for such a thing to exist in Red Lake. But potential evidence was still potential evidence, and it was something he knew the FBI Agent wouldn't have access to.

"Not anything particularly out of the ordinary." Yeah he had the feeling like he was being watched here and there, but that didn't particularly spring to mind as being "anything weird." In the city, everyone was accustomed to seeing strangers and screened out most others as irrelevant background props, but in small towns like these, newcomers were always novelties at a minimum, dangerous pests at worst, so generally he caught at least one or two starers whenever he strolled in. At least, that's how Harry rationalized it to himself.

@Morose@FantasyChic@Infamous Auror The walk out of the mine would be pretty slow carrying Declan between the two of you along with Jenna's hurt ankle. But they would manage to get out of the mine, the moment that they were out of the silver mine Declan would start to feel a lot better now. He would feel slightly dizzy, but the headache would be gone and he would regain consciousness as well though it would take awhile for them to make the walk towards Jenna's car. The burns on Declan's hands would still be there, and painful to the touch, good luck trying to explain it to the two ladies helping him out and why it happened in the first place.

@BlueSky44 Sheriff Bradley looked towards Lydia as she started to explain her side of the story on what had happened, he was concerned now that he had to deal with another body now. "Mind taking us to the location again?" Bradley asked as he opened up the back seat of the squad car for Lydia to enter and waved for one of the nearby deputies nearby to get in as well. "Also mind showing me the letter that you found?" It would end up being evidence from a possible crime scene and it needed to be looked at as well.

The demon encounter to him however was something that was more disturbing to him and there was something else at work here as well. "I should probably get back to my niece she is probably getting into some trouble." Abe said jokingly and then looked towards the private investigator and gave him a friendly nod. "See you around town I guess." Abe said as he turned and headed back over towards his car.

Abe came back just in time to see Olivia and her friends turning back to leave from the lake, his attention turning back towards Kosara and knelt down next to her seeing the devils trap that she had been making. "So find anything about them kids?" Abe asked looking over towards her and gently patted her on the shoulder.

She said jokingly, she overheard Kosara speaking but didn't make any indication that she was listening in.

"We could head over to my place or something if you'd like." Olivia offered, as she opened the door letting Clifford in first and turned her attention towards Joey. "Could bring Taylor along to if you'd like the more the merrier." Olivia offered looking towards Taylor and smiled, she didn't mind hanging out with a group of friends and she needed to have something to take her mind off of her missing friend as well.

She leaned forward and started to listen to Miranda taking mental notes, the girl seemed to be really well liked by just about everyone. But you could never truly read a person and their intentions.

Once Miranda finished Jeanna reached out to gently pat the girl's hands and gave her a friendly smile. "I'll do whatever it takes to try and find her." She said, which was what she planned on doing and it was her very job to help people whenever and wherever possible. Jeanna then reached into her pocket and pulled out her card which had her phone number as well as her email. "If anything comes to mind dont hesitate to please call alright?" Jeanna offered. "Burke get your ass back to work when you are done!" The manager of the café yelled suddenly.

It was hard getting Declan out of the mine, especially with Jenna's hurt ankle. She didn't want her help, but she would be stupid to say she could do it alone. For a skinny guy, Declan was a tough carry. Still, they made it out without any more trouble. As they set Declan down, hoping he would be able to catch his breath and wake up, Finley got a decent look at his injuries. Allergies or not, you don't get burns from a mine like that.

Jenna said it best. They had a lot to talk about. "You're right, we do. You're not the only one with something to share, but let's make sure this idiot is ok before we spill our guts. Also, wouldn't mind doing so someplace more comfortable. I don't think I ever want to see this mine again."

She didn't show it, but Declan scared the crap out of her. Whatever was going on, he needed to spill. He came dangerously close to being hurt badly. She would not stand for that.

Taylor walked with Joey back to his car, the rank smell still assaulting her nose, although they'd gone out of its range. It wasn't a smell she'd soon forget. She wondered if Oli would want to come back later in their four-legged forms and check out the scene later. Curiosity was very much a thing for Taylor, but she also liked to stay safe. Oli and her cousin both were the ones to drag her along places when she knew better than to go, but like a disease, the excitement would catch her in the moment and she'd be off getting into trouble with her two partners in crime. Well, fur-partners-in-crime. P.I.C. was reserved for Finley, of course.

As Joey turned to run back to Oli's car, she nodded and smiled softly at him as he went. She herded Sadie towards Joey's car, the poor dog searching the parking lot for Taylor's jeep, obviously having forgotten they came in his car. Taylor shook her head and opened up the passenger side door, letting Sadie jump in the back of the car before sliding into her seat, herself. She looked out at the lake, watching it glisten in the sunlight. Maybe they could come back another day and go swimming. It'd been some time since Taylor had gone swimming at the lake, let alone in a swimming pool. Well, since High School, anyway. The swim team didn't count, though. She wanted to go swimming for fun, hang out with friends and have a good day. It'd been such a long time, it was almost like a memory. This was the first time in a while Taylor had even gotten to go out with her friends, and suddenly Taylor found herself grateful for the day. Thankful that she had the day off when everyone decided to be Mystery Inc. again.

In Taylor's lost thoughts, she barely heard her name being spoken and looked over towards Oli and Joey. Oli was smiling Taylor's way, and she could only imagine what Oli was saying about her. Taylor gave a half-hearted smile, figuring it was most likely just Olivia teasing Joey and her about..whatever they were. Taylor turned back to the back seat where Sadie impatiently paced back and forth in the back seat, wanting a window down. She shook her head and cracked her door open so some fresh air would creep into the car. Sadie immediately calmed down and sat with her nose pushed through, right up against the cracked open door. Taylor reached back and gently scratched Sadie's head and ears, settling back down in her seat comfortably looking out the window towards Oli and Joey.

Everything was blurred. His vision, his memory. What happened?.. Wherever he was, it was bright as fuck. Almost blinding. Declan blinked hard and slowly attempted to push himself up from the gravel floor, taking in heavy breaths as he looked around him and saw he was outside. Outside of the mine's entrance. But how? Hadn't he just been inside? Going after.. GWEN! Declan shot up like a bullet and started to run back inside till he ran straight into Finley and fell over right on his ass with a hard grunt, now facing both the girls. His face turned bright red as he realized what had happened, now. He felt terrible, but he was glad Gwen and Finley both were equally okay. Well, Gwen a little worse for wear, but she was alive and kickin'.

Declan lowered his head, almost in a submissive "I'm sorry" kind of way. Had he been in his other form, his tail would have been tucked tightly between his legs and he'd be trying to lick an apology out of the girls. All he could manage in this form was an apologetic half-smile. He looked from Finley to Gwen, checking them both over to be absolutely sure they were okay. Declan went to dust off his hands on his pants and noticed the harsh burns on them, quickly clenching his fists in attempts to hide them, knowing well that they'd already seen them, but in a sense, it was kind of embarrassing. At least to him, it was. He met both of their eyes, then. A scared dog with his tail tucked and vulnerable eyes watching his two friends, wondering if they knew. The silence between him and them probably wouldn't help his case, but he didn't know what to say at this point. He didn't want to lie, but he didn't want to tell the truth. Declan swallowed hard, sitting there before the two girls with his arms extended back behind him to support him as he leaned back, the palms of his hands pushed firmly into the ground.

Harry stood back and watched the elderly man leave him alone in the forest. He never did mention his name, did he? Maybe Harry just missed it. 'Old Hunter' would have to suffice in his notes for the time being. But he had a feeling that awkward conversation wouldn't be the last time they'd have to talk. Ominous premonitions aside, he had notes to jot down over everything that just happened. Harry reached to grab his pen, but noticed that he was still holding the scrap of cloth. The Private Investigator took a long look at the thing before stuffing it into his breast pocket.

When he had finished his short-hand chronicling of the past 10 minutes or so, Harry was left with the all important question: What do I do now? The sulfurous smell was gone, so that course of action was gone and the chances that those teenagers were still hanging around where they were was close to nil. A glance to the sky indicated that he still had a bit of time before sundown, when he'd have to leave or risk too much unnecessarily. He didn't have much else open to him at the moment, so he set off to get a good mental map of the Lake and see if he could find anything else noteworthy.
