Important News
God applications are closed until further notice. We need more demigods/humans to even out the rosters. God applications will be opened up once more when the time is right.
You Fell. So long ago. For a crime you may or may not have committed.. How sad. The Human's Earth was yours once, or was it? I can't really remember. You were a God once, but steadily weren't. Living among them has probably changed you. For better or for worse. If it hasn't, he'll be disappointed. But I won't care. I shouldn't be doing this, but it'll be oh so fun! Come now ye Gods, welcome your old friends! What was lost is now given back anew! Your powers return! And so do you!
Premise
Hello and welcome to Godfall! A world full of possibilities. Be a God, Demigod or even a human, there's plenty of room!
If you haven't read the full lore(which I encourage), I will summarize whats going on. You were a God once, with an aspect instilled into you upon your creation. You lived in the Heavens for Eons, or maybe even the Earth and everything was in balance until the Sun and Moon created Humanity, then went to sleep. Some Gods abused these new found creatures, maybe even ate them and this chaos resulted in an unbalance of the mundane world(Earth), and as a result, Death wasn't happy, so like an angry parent he grounded the gods on Earth and locked Heaven up.
Eventually all of their powers left them and they were forced to live a cursed life. You could never die by humans means, and if you somehow did get into a serious accident, you always woke up perfectly fine. Now in the present time, a spirit decided to play a prank on death and turned the key halfway, allowing the gods powers to come back. Now, through word of ear, everyone knows about the spirit and you are in a race to find him, or Death. Maybe to get some answers or revenge? Only you know.
The Primordial Law
1. There are three main dimensions: The Heavens, The Earth and The Underworld.
2. All gods have three powers of their own, plus a weapon of some kind that can be stolen and used by other Gods/Demi-Gods.
3. The rulers of the Heavens were the Sun, Solaria and Moon, Lunus. They had several children with one another and those children would go on to be greater deities in their own right.
4. Demigods were created between a union of man and god. Once the God's power dwindled to nothing they became normal humans, but now if a such a Union happened currently, demigods will have powers of their own. Demigods only get two powers to call their own, however every single one has enhanced reflexes, strengths, and stamina.
5. All manner of creatures existed at one point another and with the Gods return, maybe even they will?
6. On the death of gods- Yes, gods can die, but it is by no means easy. Gods are powerful entities who basically exist to uphold an aspect of creation. By killing a god you're basically killing the aspect that they uphold and leaving what remains of said aspect, broken. It'll still work but it won't be upheld to the fullest. For example, lets say The God of War and the God of Peace got into a battle. The God of War overwhelms Peace, and kills him. Peace gets sent to place that not even the Gods know and War is the victor. Ever since Peace died, the Human's world has been at war on and off with only small time periods of relative peace. It doesn't have to be a full scale war to suffice either, even a small border skirmish counts.
7. It has been said that humans can obtain demigodhood, but such a process has not been seen in centuries.
How It all came to be
Long before humans crept into the light of the sun, or slept in the shadow of the moon, above the Earth sat the Heavens. It was a myriad of regions, realms, and kingdoms that expanded as far as the divine eye willed. Each God and Goddess had an aspect that they held dominion over, given at the moment of their creation and tasked with interpreting until the end of all things. The Sun and Moon ruled the Heaven's from their thrones far above, and from this union came children, the greater aspects of the Heavens. For untold time, the denizens of this place lived in relative balance with one another, upholding the primordial laws and keeping any conflict with one another, isolated. Then one day, everything changed.
You see, during the time before humans, the Earth was a place full of potential. Nature Deities had worked wonders in many ways, changing the landscape to fit the needs of the fauna but it was, as many Gods put, mundane. The Sun and Moon's greatest creation yet, was overshadowed by the Heaven's boundless energy. Centuries of habitation by the Gods had leaked their divine essences into the very foundations, and there was no need to go to Earth. That was until humanity arrived. The Sun and Moon were enamored with Earth, and not wanting to waste such a home, the created humanity. They realized the one great mistake of the gods, they were bound to their aspects and lived forever to uphold them. So they gave humans a bit of the dark, and a bit of the light with no restraints but one. They lived a natural existence, a mortal one like the world they now lived in. This effort, almost killed them, so they withdrew into a hibernation, one in which they still remain. With the Sun and Moon gone, and humanity living, growing, and dying, it attracted the attention of the Gods.
Many did not care about them, many were infatuated with them, and many hated them. For the next several centuries, humanity would live in a world of chaos, something that the Sun and Moon could not have anticipated. Most Gods treated humanity as toys. Most were enslaved for a variety of reasons, or just outright eaten. They multiplied so quickly that there always seemed to be an endless supply. But this chaos was destroying the balance of the mundane world, and worse, it upset Death. Unbeknownst to the Gods, Death had fallen in Love with Humanity for reasons they could not comprehend. So he wrought a lock made of the bones of innocents, and placed it on the Gates of the Heavens. In an instant, the Gods were cast out. There was confusion, infighting and suffering and for years most looked for Death himself but he could never be found. As time when on for the Gods, their powers began to dwindle slowly. From school books, the past can tell us what some of them did throughout history. Forming pantheons, religions, great epics and powerful names come to mind, before their power became nothing and they were given a cursed life. They could not die by humans means, and lived eternally, one of the only lasting effects of Godhood. But not all hope was lost for them.
The year is now 2018, and the Gods are myths, but they still walk among humanity doing who knows what. However, something was about to happen that would change the course of the world forever. A mischievous spirit named Hollow thought to pull a prank on Death himself, so he nicked the key to the Heavens, leaving a rather funny note in its place. Hallow traveled to the Heaven's gate full of laughter, and turned the lock halfway. Death became instantly aware of the theft at that moment, for energy from Heaven began to flow outwards once again, flooding to the ones it had not seen in ages, the Gods. Now Hollow could not contain his excitement and began telling spirits of all varieties of his prank on death. Word quickly spread, and the race was on to find the key, or Death or anything for that matter. The world would change, and all because a spirit wanted to play a prank.
The Rules
1. Most important out of all of them: Have fun! Regardless if you are in IC or OOC, respect each other and be sure to have fun. 2. Ask Questions if you have them! 3. Seeing as this is within the casual section please do post at least a somewhat decent paragraph with spelling and grammar that is appropriate for a casual RP. 4. If at any time you are going to be inactive for more than three days please do give everyone a heads up so that no one ends up stuck. 5. This RP is open to suggestions so if there are any please do come and talk about it with the GMs before going on with it. 6. This one is an obvious one, but no godmodding, power playing or meta gaming. No one likes it, so don't do it. 7. This is a mature RP, now this does not mean sex everywhere, it means there will be swearing and some mild violence, please keep it civil and do not try to traumatize another person through descriptively gory violence. 8. Last but not least respect the words of the GM and Co-GM.

@Lord Zee Is all the lore in the first post, or is there additional lore elsewhere you can link us to? Also how would you like us to go about submitting character applications, just post them or send them to you for approval first?
(Sorry, it's been a while so I want to make sure I'm doing everything right xD )
No problemo! All of the lore is here, feel free to ask questions about anything specific or if you need to know more for your character.
I'm going to allow as many characters as you can manage for now, and feel free to post the application here in the ooc so I can review it before I give you the good to go to put in the character tab.
Sexuality: I like you, do you like me? Yeah? Cool, let’s go
Powers: Divine Luck: Fiala can subtly influence the outcomes of events, for either better or worse Divine Agility: Fiala is very quick, even beyond the capabilities of most of her siblings Charm: Fiala has a certain air about her that make her seem easy to trust
Weapon: Fiala once had a set of throwing knives that always hit the most opportune part of her mark. In her hands, the knives replenished as quickly as she could draw them. She lost track of the set long ago.
History (Pre-Earth bound): As one of the middle children of Solaria and Lunus, Fiala found her place to be less important than those of her older siblings. She didn’t mind, though: subtly influencing events, just enough to affect the outcome, was enough for her. At first, it was enough to play with her siblings like this - tweaking this or that, changing things just enough to throw them off guard - but eventually, she found herself growing bored. Maybe they couldn’t replicate it, but they knew that she was responsible.
Because of this, humanity was a great boon to Fiala. She immediately went to Earth, walking among these new creatures and playing with them the way she once played with her siblings. Misplaced key here, lucky roll of the dice there… she found herself having more fun with humans than she ever had in the Heavens. Mostly avoiding her siblings, she spent her time amusing herself to her heart’s content, subtly influencing lives in just the right way to make herself laugh.
History (Post-Earth bound): When the Gates were closed, Fiala didn’t immediately notice. It wasn’t until chaos beyond her control took over that she realized what happened. Quietly slipping into the shadows, she continued influencing what she could - although now, it was much less satisfying. She was no longer playing games, instead trying desperately to save what humans she could - not for altruistic purposes, but because she knew if she didn’t, she would never get to play again. By the time the threat more or less cleared, she knew her power was weaker than it once was. She took her chance to have her fun while it lasted, while also learning more mundane (but much less enjoyable) ways to influence mortal luck.
Fiala found that the best way to do this was as a traveling conman. She has spent centuries wandering Earth, playing rigged games of “chance” and disappearing before a particular settlement had a chance to react. It wasn’t the same, of course - in this way, she could only influence in one direction, unless she chose to take pity and allow some mortal to win. More recently, though, they’ve become wise to her schemes, and it’s harder and harder to influence using mundane tricks.
Most recently, she has been trying to take things easy and enjoy immortal life in a beautiful place. Currently she is making her way across North America, only practicing her trade when she needs more money to travel… or when she really feels that itch to play.
Motive: Fiala just wants to have fun, whether it be on Earth or in the Heavens.
Also known as: The First One; The Preserver; Sharon Woods
God aspect: Perseverance: Hiraga was known as the protector goddess, one that keeps the balance of all things.
Personality: The guardian goddess is connected to Earth, its state directly affecting her mood. In general, she is non-conflicting and among the Gods can be considered neither good nor evil. She has no mercy however, and her judgement is always an eye for an eye. Should a mortal decide to stripmine a mountain range and fall large forests to build machines of war, they will find their shipyards claimed for the seas by a tsunami and their factories swallowed by fissures caused by an earthquake. As such, she is the element of chaos in any plan, whether they be form the mind of a mortal or a god.
Parents: Solara and Lunus
Sexuality: Bisexual
Forms: Hiraga is a shapeshifter, however her representing form is that of a white tiger. On Earth after ehr powers were sealed,s he wears the look of a woman she was once enamored with, but died young of cancer. In her true form, Hiraga is an energy being, who’s sight rather fills others with hope and positive feelings, rather than insanity.
Powers:
Guardian Perserver: If everything is well on Earth, her own powers are weakening, to the point of falling into slumber during what could be called a ‘golden age’. However if the planet suffers, the goddess’ wrath will rain upon those responsible in force unmatched. If the world would be nearing its end, she would gain the power to to bring judgement day, purge the original world of all life and cause the souls to move either to Heaven or Underworld, and start life anew by laying down her own. Nobody dares to think what would happen to Earth if she was slain, and no one is certain she can be killed as long as the Earth exists.
Reincarnation: To her followers, she offers the this gift, having the power to anchor their soul in the world in a new body. Those who choose to remain are brought back as creatures of myths that aid her in watching the land.
Shapeshifting: Hiraga can appear in any form and size. Aside from her representative tiger, she has been seen posing as mythical figures, from fairies to dragons, or various humans when she needs to undermine someone’s intent to harm the planet.
Tool:
Soul Stone: A crystal sphere that allows the user to glimpse the entire life of an individual, used by Hiraga to pass judgement on whom she should allow to reincarnate.
History:
Hiraga does not really have any history before being Earth-bound. The first child of Solara and Lunus looked upon the planet and her heart was filled with joy at the sight of the beautiful creation. She declared to forever guard it from destruction, and made herself one with the World.
Over the eons she struck against any and all who desecrated Earth’s beauty. When one kind of animals grown too dominant, she struck the world itself and torn the continents apart, or reached out form the Earth to pull a meteor into its path to create an extinction event, a temporary downturn in life so that new one can flourish in greater variety when the world recovered, and for some time it worked.
With the locking of Heaven’s Gate, Hiraga’s powers vanished, and she started fighting to preserve the World in the political arena. Now unable to affect the world at large, she instead started to influence important humans, hoping to guide them away form their ways that were destroying the world into living in harmony with it.
Motive:
Ever since the first world war, Hiraga has been quite infuriated with Humanity. Unlike the others, she does not seek a return to the Heavens, but she would like to have a word with Death about the impending catastrophe his beloved Humanity is summoning on itself, whether she aided in it or not.
Other gods
Amos: "I see a lot of myself in him. Where I chose to guard the Earth, he chose to guard the homeland of our parents. I pity him greatly, for I can not imagine how I would take being forced out of the Earth. I would probably spend equal centuries yanking on the chain keeping me away. I would have hoped he would find a home in my realm, but he grieves for the ways of old too much."
Fiala: "I watch her doings with great mirth. I only wish most of my siblings were this harmless. Sure, sometimes she does someone a great harm, but she doesn't do it on a large scale, and balances it with giving good fortune to others. I often thought about employing her to help me in my work, for making jsut one order form a warlord lost on it's way to the soldiers could do away with an entire war. But then again, that is my job, and it is a job. I have the feeling that my sister would not wish to be bound like that, as it is not that amusing."
Demigods
Mortals
Trivia: Hiraga’s symbol is the last letter of any alphabet, a silent reminder that no one should upset her, or the world will be in peril.
We didn't get very far in, but I knew I remembered you! Welcome back.
As for everyone else, I'll try to get the IC post up later tonight or tomorrow, my time. I'm going out with some friends right now, so anything could happen. I'll have my phone if anything comes up here.
Ah, that slipped the net when I was archiving :) Suffice to say the situation here seems as such that Hiraga will be a bit more melow this time around ^_^
My confusion in the interest topic was what I wanted to be a god of :p Cuz being a god would be fun...I only have 2 ideas since I'm not feeling very creative lately
If you're stuck, Fantasy Name Generators has a deity name generator that includes titles (such as god of war, goddess of winter etc) that might be helpful.
Name: Goehearth (pre-spirit prank name was William)
Also known as: The God of Anarchy, creator of the Vile, Entropy
Age: "How the hell should I know? My memory is like a bunch of concerts going on at once."
God Aspect: Entropy and ending
Personality: Tinkering, destructive, cruel, and comedic. Sometimes a little more caring when it comes to certain topics and serious at good moments.
Parents: Sun and Moon
Sexuality: Male
Form on Earth: A pale, black haired, red eyed 6 ft tall mob boss with a 5 o'clock shadow.
True Form: A large horned beast with a horn beard, red and black reptilian eyes, and a rough gray hide. His teeth are stained yellow and green, and his tongue is long and forked. His hands are clawed and bony. His legs are double kneed with three toes with claws. He has a long slender tail, ending in a forked spike. Many spines cover his back and he wears crude yet strong armor with evil designs and stained with blood and rust.
Powers: Cause Hell Goehearth causes natural disasters with increased mortality to come into existence, letting go on it's own. Friend of War Goehearth causes mortal entities to go into a frenzy, attacking everything but him. The Vile shadow Goehearth turns into a shadowy mist, seeping into the minds of others and fight for control over their minds, then destroying it, turning them to either a instinctual being or a vegetable.
Weapon: Vale Spliter A mace made as a gift from his father, which could cause rifts in the divide between the realms, which was to his liking. When it hit something solid, it shook it as if a earthquake happened inside the object. The mace was cruelly designed and is the only belonging of Goehearth's that is not decrepit looking. Currently, it's in a muesum, and looks as if it has been rusted.
History: Goehearth was one of the elder children of the Sun and the Moon. He grew at an accelerated rate, and he quickly made freinds with the darker gods and entities of the time. Death and him had some pleasant conversations actually, but normally over a game of Chess that Death found interesting, and only Goehearth was interested in playing. Being the god of Anarchy and chaos was not always uncivilized. When in front of his parents or death, he controlled his urges of destruction. Goehearth viewed humans as major players in the universe, but also as entertainment for their more evil acts through time. His only two offspring, Jerico and Nemeria were Demigods, and he made sure they survived. As guardians for his children and his worshipers, he made a species of beasts from the bones of a hell drake called the Vile. The Vile became his warriors whenever he battled with his siblings or decided to destroy a civilization. He got rid of Atlantis with them when Atlantis started worshiping a demon. He spent much time in his part of the underworld he won from Death in a game of chess. There, demons flocked and became his citizens, which Death advised against. When Death decided to punish the gods, Goehearth was right in front of him, outraged with death cheating him into giving him back the part of the underworld that he won. And then it all went black.
History: Goehearth awoke in the middle of a burning city. It was no normal city, mind you, but rather Troy. His body had turned to his human self, but he could only be seen different by his eyes. They were a bloodshot red in the iris. He watched the battle, and even got stabbed by a Greek warrior. He simply picked the warrior of the ground and crushed his air way. After this, he was outraged at death, yelling in anger enough to shake mountains. He went on to a life he did not call his own. He wandered, destroying villages in his wake, and battling his siblings. He found a way to cope however. As time went on, the humans of evil needed guidance to balance the good, so he made his life committed to crime and the occult. He made cults worshiping him and thieves guild, but as his memories and powers faded, he simply became the most feared crime bosses and occult leaders. He destroyed many and became rich and infamous. This changed when the spirit messed with Death's spell. Goehearth, at the time William, was getting ready to judge someone who stole his money and shot his favorite hitman when the memories and powers returned. He had a bit of a seizure, and his guards panicked for a moment, but when he got back up and looked at the person whimpering in front of him, he walked up and collapsed the guy's skull. His guards stood in shock, and they saw their boss turn around with an evil look in his eye. "Entropy has returned Death, and he wants anwsers." was what he said.
Motive: With his powers and memories back, he wishes to find Death, give him a slug to the face, and then have a nice conversation. Also, he wishes to find his mace. Badly.
Optional Content Opinions: "Most of the other gods are dicks, but I am as well, but I didn't overly mistreat humanity. Demigods are good entertainment, unless they're my children, then I wish to find them and fix our predicament. Death is going to have a nice shina' when I reach him."
Before I can accept you there are a couple of things that we need to go over in your application.
I like Goehearth, I think he can be a great addition to the current group we have! There is just a few concerns I that'd i'd like to go over. One being his power, The Vile shadow. I like it, its a good original power, just, if you ever have to use it against another player then don't just power play them into a vegetable state. You did mention that you had to fight for control, which is good, but I thought I would just express my opinion.
Next would be your weapon, As long as Vale Spliter can't open a portal to the Heaven's then you are good to use it.
Now, for your pre-history, Demi-gods didn't officially exist until Humanity was created, so having them in the beginning wouldn't happen. You could just change it to spirits and be good with that part. Then with your two demigod children, I am most interested in them. What happened to them? They do live mortal lives, just longer then humans, so how would they still be alive or if they even are?
Thank you for the feedback @Lord Zee. The Vale splitter not being able to go to heaven was an obvious no-no, so yeah that was the point of it. His children I was going to get more into during the RP, but if you want I will write it into his character sheet. I'm fixed the pre-creation part mishap
