"It would seem you are hunted. Perhaps an arrangement would be beneficial..." Whipstitch said slowly,
her voice matching the calm swelling inside her. "Yes, I will assist for the sake of the women with you."

She raised her arms, shooting string across the upper level of the place, slowly blocking off the stair access and easy access points.

"You will retreat. Call in your... Team..," she continued before giving up on her endeavor. Instead she began creating string of a pale color, small enough to be barely visible.

"My strings, my babies... They will cut you like clouds." she called down to the unknowns below. The thug that had just died by the Twin had gotten a shot off, which passed harmlessly through Whipstitch.

"And you, too, they shall cut if you cross me," she added towards Mantis in a low voice.

Focus shifting, Zach looked over at the newcomers. Ignoring the angel, he moved forward, picking another gun off a twitching thug. He fired into the air five shots ringing off before the clicking of an empty magazine reminded him of its limited capacity. ”I'm perfectly keen on the idea of knocking every fucking one of you unconscious. Just throw down your weapons and leave." He shouted, with no bullets responding to his call. It was mostly over then, that was good. He unclipped his baton, staring at the newcomers. ”You two should probably evacuate, and you, girly, don't know shit about us. It's already a bad day, lets keep it from getting worse" His voice trailed off near the end as another unintelligent individual rushed him, knife raised. He ducked under the cut, letting it go over his head as he extended the baton; it caught the man's arm, making him release the knife.

A voice called out from above, the string girl it seemed. He shrugged at her, not getting the full conversation, and therefore not knowing how to react. His power would prevent any real danger from appearing from those strings, so it didn't particularly threaten him. The derangement he had been given was also in full force, with his shard encouraging the fighting as well without his knowledge.

Hermes:
Laying the Groundwork

@Old Amsterdam

A simple nod was elicited in response to the warning, and another for the order. Soft footfalls accompanied their ever so lonely presence. Hermes motioned to go first, going silent for this part of the mission. Pushing on the double doors, he peaked inside, clearing the room, before motioning to Protean the all clear. He teleported forward, into a spot that covered him from the hallway, letting him lean further in as his larger teammate followed. Peaking around the corner he could not only hear music, but muffled chatter. The silent approach was working so far. Almost under his breath, he conveyed the situation to Decoy. "Twenty individuals, hard to tell how many are armed. I can take out two before they're alert. Advice? Or a holding cell I can place an armed individual?"

The channel he was on connected solely to Decoy, with instructions to pass on relevant information to his teammates. He leaned back around the corner, taking a stressed breath. Though he wasn't supposed to be giving orders, he still motioned for Protean to take a complimentary position to his on the safer side of the hallway. It was habit, being control of the operations he conducted, and his power offered such scouting abilities that he was more often than not the one with a lot more information than everybody else.

Alessa Heather: Trainyard

On the upside, it sounded like Epsilon was moving in without trouble at the moment, having been allowed to make headway in order to keep her from negating her own abilities, and Tulpa’s projection was finally about to see combat. On the downside, the gunfire and crashing indicated that Overlook’s drone had been destroyed… and Chatterbox’s speech was still doing something to her. She could almost feel his words prodding at her mind, threatening to dissuade her from her chosen role… but she was a hero, wasn’t she? As long as that held true, she couldn’t just let herself walk away from this!

The sound of yet more gunfire caused her to flinch, though. And that was uncharacteristic. For now, she couldn’t see where it was coming from, but she found herself wanting surprisingly little to find its source… why? Surely this was part of Chatterbox’s power, which would make him a Thinker of rather potent proportions - a notion shortly reinforced by the cape himself.

And shortly after that, two of the enemy capes finally came into view, just as one of them hurled a crate in her direction. Hers, and perhaps the other two in the warehouse with her. Damn it, who could just chuck a crate like that?! Reacting quickly, Messiah aimed a finger, and fired out an extremely potent beam of heat, slicing the crate and its contents in half to land on either side of both her and everyone near her.

That distraction, that unlikely moment of diverted attention, should probably have been the death of her. Or at least the knocking out of her. Either way, the other cape- very likely Headhunter- had had her in his sights, with every opportunity to take his shot, and she had no time to figure out why he hadn’t taken it before luck took pity on her, and Tulpa’s projection finally burst through the- wow, that was certainly a beast she’d created! And good timing, too.

‘Nicely done, Tulpa!’ she cheered, pursuing steadily as at least Headhunter began to flee, ducking behind another pile of boxes as he fled. Alas, she couldn’t follow on so readily, for Epsilon’s nullification field would render her powerless if she wandered into it… huh. Maybe it wouldn’t be so silly for her to carry a gun around after all, then. Especially if her energy beams weren’t viable; she tended to make them reasonably damaging to begin with, but what if she couldn’t control their strength? What if she killed someone accidentally? What if her actions did more harm than-

No, NO, that was the Thinker’s words getting to her. Maybe his power was like a reverse version of Captain Morales’, then, inducing a lack of confidence the longer he had it active? No, that’d be too easy... maybe. Either way, it wasn’t fun to be around.

...that loud roar from the far end didn’t sound so brilliant either. What was happening with Lillian? Who knew? Screw the effects of the field, she needed to get over there and help the dinosaur girl! Messiah promptly forged ahead, noting the feeling of loss as she entered Epsilon’s field again, and this time making sure she could duck behind something if another crate was thrown in her direction.

Things were getting a tad more hectic than Angel had expected. After her initial clach with the armed men she had identified them as Highlanders. It wasn't a group she was super familiar with but knew of through her old connections with her gang. Had to know about the other players in the city in case they ran into each other.

From the chatter going on none of the parahumans present seemed to be part of the Highlanders. The aforementioned were getting their buts handed to them as more and more people showed up. All of them were unknowns to her. At least one of them, the woman she'd seen outside and seemed to be generating strands, had no intention of fighting her. Thank goodness. There was enough to contend with seeing as two others had plowed their way into the warehouse. The entrance was less of an interest to her than what was said. A group called Lethal Force was here? That name didn't really sit well with her and supposedly they'd left this girl to die. As if to drive the point home a gun went off. Whirling around Angel saw Farce lowering her revolver. Following the general path where the bullet had gone she spotted the man that had fallen dead.

Making another scan of the room it had to be assumed that everyone present with a gun was either Highlander or Lethal Force, neither seemed to have qualms with killing. The exception was maybe Zach who had fired into the air several times now, but the accusation of the new girl had been directed toward him.

Since the ones above were distracted she turned toward Farce. She was momentarily distracted by people still trying to hold onto the warehouse. She wasn't sure what show of force the other parahumans here had but it didn't seem to have been enough to scatter everyone. The string woman seemed to want to punish the bad men but Angel didn't really care."Let me make this abundantly clear!" Spreading her wings the halo above her lit up. It was more for flare than anything to draw attention to her. Reaching down she grabbed the edge of a flatbed cart with a crate on it. Lifting from one end the crate clattered to the ground. Swinging her arm she tossed the cart across the room like a toy in the direction of some Highlanders. She purposely aimed to one side and the metal object wrapped around one of the supports before it fell to the floor in a folded mess of twisted metal. The sound it made echoed through the structure as it rattled. Dust shook loose throughout and drifted down.

With a firm expression the woman took a step in the gang's direction. Her footfalls were much heavier than her light frame suggested. Taking hold of another object she began to lift. "Get out." Before she had the chance to do anything else they ran to avoid being shot, beaten, mangled or murdered by a gun or flying object. Satisfied with that reaction the angel stopped and turned her attention again to those that remained. Pointing a finger at the gun in Farce's hand she motioned to drop it. "Couldn't help but notice the trouble you're making. Lethal Force was it? I hope you have a good reason for what you're doing here." She rather casually placed her hands on her hips and waited for an answer. Perhaps if she was more experienced with the cape scene she would have taken a more guarded stance. But she as of yet hadn't run into many others that had hurt her in any meaningful way. This was also a much more confident and less threatening approach. A non-violent resolution was preferred if at all possible.

PRT Team GO! The Mysterious Intel!

@solokolos

Protean followed the hand signals easily, taking up position and beginning to change his form. Moments later a conglomerate of animal parts remained. Something resembling a large spider with antlers and clawed paws stood near Hermes, large mandibles clicking softly.

While Hermes was thinking and communicating quietly with Decoy, Protean had already pushed forward, crawling along the walls and ceiling. Large holes puncture holes followed his progress, and then suddenly spider webbing shot forward onto several of the guards bullshiting around a coffee maker.

"I guess you could say they're too wrapped up in their conversation," he said with a laugh.

Very faint muffled screaming could be heard from the floor where the goons were buried under silk. Protean let out what could only be described as excited chittering from his mandibles.

"You can deposit any armed individuals in the holding cells here at the PRT Headquarters," Decoy replied to Hermes, sounding slightly exasperated. "I'll handle the restraints. You better get going, he's not likely to stop and wait for you."

On the other side of the offices, Inkscape was slowly and methodically working through the hallway of doors. Many of the criminals he came across were left in a void, their clothing turned into straight jackets and restraints as the rooms were turned from boring offices into methodical pieces of artwork, all connecting together by a thread.

Genevieve Marceaux - Warehouse

The scene within the warehouse was chaotic, and it was only getting worse by the minute. Genevieve thought about leaving them all behind, making a quick escape through some back door and getting as far away as possible. But that was only an impulsive thought, one that she wouldn't care to carry out at the moment. She trusted Judah and the rest, and in some odd, newfound way, she hoped they trusted her as well. Maybe it was gullible of Genevieve to think as such, but either way, she would find out where she stood real soon.

Genevieve kept the weapon she'd acquired off of the thug at the ready. She wasn't necessarily aiming at the angel, but she was ready to react if the situation turned from bad to worse. Slowly taking some steps towards Judah, Genevieve couldn't help but wonder whether she'd been in such a tense situation before. It was for that very same reason that she waited to take action, not wanting to further aggravate the issue.

What the hell are we supposed to do now?

"We do," Farce said as she put the revolver in her pants, using the elastic waist of them to hold it there for the time being, followed by her lifting her hands in the air at her shoulders. "I had a contact. He said there was something big going on here." Farce looked around the room in pursuits of what the main objective for the contact was before finally ceasing her wandering eyes on the office of the warehouse. "It's in there."

Meanwhile, Farce's body language was directed at the immediately-located members of her team, trying to get them to lower their weapons and act more peaceful. This was important. Whether or not this angel could sweep all three of them away was uncertain, but Farce was definitely not taking any chances here with it.

Bladedancer and Magna Carta

Magna Carta was livid. Mere moments after she spoke more shOts were fired and anothEr person fell to the grouNd dead. The girl with the strings was tAlking, Zach was tAlking, but no one was doing aNytHing. Well she would do something then. The wall she'd been using as a shield was held horizontally pointed at Zach. "DIE!" She screamed and the metal rectangle suddenly launched forward at an alarming speed directly at Zach. Between Zach's invulnerability and the projectiles speed, there was neither a need nor an ability to dodge. Well... Only the latter was true.

The metal passed through the sphere that normally protected Zach from any and all harm as though it wasn't even there and the same could be said for his neck. The killer projectile tore through the opposite wall and made a screeching noise as it crashed into something unseen outside. Zach's head flipped through the air and rolled on the ground, leaving a trail of blood that lead to his corpse. Which was currently gushing blood on account of the severed arteries and all as Zach's body fell gracelessly to the floor, joining the corpses already there. It seemed Lethal Force had gotten a taste of their own medicine.

Shit. Shit. shitshitshitshitshitshit. "Shit." Did she just? She did. Fuck. "Run." Everissa didn't expect Magna Carta to listen to her so she didn't gave the newly-blooded murderer a chance. She grabbed Magna's arm and ran directly back from where they came. What the hell? You don't kill people! The thought had a jarring painfulness to it and Everissa immediately thought back to the face of the person she'd killed. It was different! It was self-defense! It wasn't though and she knew it. They had killed for the exact same reasons. Revenge.

Magna Carta stumbled as she was pulled but seemed too elated by what she had just seen to resist, turning and going along with the flow, her feet lazily going into action. Revenge. She'd gotten him. For now she didn't care about the rest of them. She'd kill them if they crossed her path but next... Next was Master Baiter. A sadistic grin spread across her face as she ran with Bladedancer.

Of course the pair might be hard-pressed to escape the warehouse accosted given the amount of capes there but they were going to do their darnedest to.

So much happened in a blur of sounds and sights, but one thing caught her eye.

She watched the man get his head chopped clean off, the gore and mess following the cranium as it fell to the ground, followed by the crumpling of his body.

She giggled as everything stopped for a moment, her laughter loud in the silence.

"Broken and busted, away away away, naughty little things, came out to play!" She stopped her current project, having lost all interest in the barriers she had been constructing. "Run, my crazy little blood rose! BE FREE!"

She looked back at the two people she'd been looking to assist. Her eye twitched at the man before she addressed the woman.

"Look, yes, get your thing and we leave, yes yes? Perhaps your servant can go get it while we make the exit? He is trained, yes?"

"FUCK." An audible (to Farce) grunt sounded as Dunn suddenly appeared from nowhere, causing Farce to get a bit antsy. "Wha-" was the only noise Farce could make before she heard the ghastly thud of a severed head land on the ground, freshly decapitated from its target.

Farce's eyes widened, and if Mantis was listening in, the flurry of two people's emotions would have to surge through. Dunn wasn't being heard, though, no. It was the pain of another foreign entity, someone who had recently passed. The possibility prodded at the Twins before it vanished, gone without a trace, and fully left the world.

Zach was dead.

It was surreal. So much that it almost knocked out Farce's hearing completely as she came to the realization.

"Look, yes, get your thing and we leave, yes yes? Perhaps your servant can go get it while we make the exit? He is trained, yes?"

"... y-yeah yeah! Mantis. Go." Farce's voice sounded seriously annoyed at the end of her sentence, as if she really didn't want to talk at that moment, which was very true. She had a gun in her pants and she was incredibly distressed, now was not a good time to mess with her.

Dunn stayed silent, coming to terms with the death of Zach. "G-Gaia..."

"SPARCE SHUT THE FUCK UP AND TELL MANTIS TO MOVE HIS GODDAMN ASS!" Farce yelled aloud to nobody in particular, excluding the voice in her head.

Heartless rose up from the darkness as he watched the little girl run away, smirking as he drove her crying for her mama. He followed her at a distance as she jumped off the building, running towards... the backdoor of the warehouse? He tilted his head slightly in confusion as he dropped down and continued to follow, eyes widening as she turned into a FUCKING T-REX. "Wow ok time to go." Heartless turned around and started to walk away from the building, not particularly caring who saw him. "Hey guys, I'm going to deliver the package now. Good luck escaping and all that." He spoke into his transceiver as he headed towards one of the cars that Chatterbox had arranged.

Mantis - Warehouse

Mantis watched as the spiderwoman began to fashion some more webs. The angel addressed the team inquiring their motives. Mantis responded from above curtly, "What does it look like we're doing? Taking out the trash."

Then Zach confronted the two new intruders. As the tension escalated Mantis began to offer support by aiming his weapon down at them. Suddenly the woman shouted and fired off a projectile that sailed through the air and ripped through Zach's head, killing him instantly. It rolled on the ground until it came to a complete stop. Mantis did not feel anything from him again..

Mantis stared for what seemed like a minute, never turning his weapon from the intruders, but eyes fixated on what was Zach. The entirety of his PTSD came back to him in a single moment as it flashed before his eyes. The bomb threat. His team. The ensuing explosion and the high death toll that he was powerless to stop. "No..no..no..." The words were barely audible, only coming out as a mere whisper. The flurry of emotion from all that trauma released throughout the warehouse in a burst as he finally yelled at the top of his lungs, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" In a primal rage Mantis unloaded his Mp5 on the perps. The silencer did its job, but nothing could quiet the pain and anguish of a man who had seen his first team member beheaded before his eyes.

All the conversation around him was completely shut out of his mind. He had but one goal, one driving purpose. To put that woman down. Nothing would get in his way. After unloading for the duration of his yell, he held his fire and brushed past Genevieve on the catwalk sprinting.

He would follow their movements outside and would take another burst at them when they got into view. The mission was on hold..indefinitely..

No one was making a move after the warehouse seemed to have been taken from the local gang. Seeing that Farce put away her gun and made a sign to have the others stand down Angel smiled slightly. "Thank you." She glanced in the direction that had been indicated before the girl that had entered yelled out and the sound of a crash drew her attention back. Confused one moment and stunned the next she caught sight of Zach's body falling to the floor without his head. Pausing the woman had to weigh her options. Seems she'd misjudged the two, or one perhaps, that had burst through the wall. While she'd seen Farce shoot another person, decapitating someone with their powers was a magnitude higher on the shock factor. The thought sent a chill down her spine and she clenched her fists.

The man on the catwalk looked to be coming unhinged. The reaction wasn't something she could blame. However it looked like the situation was going to continue to escalate. Changing focus she turned toward the fleeing women. Crouching to one knee she drove the fingers of one hand into the the concrete floor for a handhold. Pushing off and pulling forward she accelerated toward them despite her increased weight. Once out in the open she launched herself into the air. With that momentum and rapid drop in density she soared overhead to tail them from a distance.

With any luck they wouldn't notice her in the air. People were notoriously bad at looking up unless they knew better. Heck she could fly and she probably didn't pay that much attention when she really thought about it. This also gave her the opportunity to watch the man that was charging after them. This definitely was not how Sarah wanted her day to go.

Tension continued to mount, and the Margrave's inscrutably handsome features bore an expression ever grimmer. As he waited for some sort of plan of action, the ego-rending words of Chatterbox continued to fly. Could this be my nemesis? the daring vagabond pondered to distract himself. A villain who, having acknowledged the vast gulf of power and skill between himself and the legendary Margrave, seeks to whittle down my courage through sheer loquaciousness? Who is this man!? He tried to keep alert, but it proved difficult as the feeling of helplessness mounted. I cannot sit here sputtering any longer. Even if it be foolhardy, I have to act! To extinguish this derision and demonstrate my vaunted prowess! He grit his teeth and rocked forward off the wall, ready to stand and do something.

Then a pair of roars shook the premises, one not long after the other. Surprised and, for a brief moment, possessed of clarity of thought, the Margrave twisted around and peeked his head up to peer into the warehouse through the window he and the Wards' leader hid beneath. His eyes locked on to the titanic frame of a great reptile, its fangs large as knives and its scales tougher than crocodile hide. Though far bigger than the turkey-sized velociraptor, it didn't stand quite as high as the awesome Tyrannosaur, though that wasn't to denigrate its fearsomeness. A primeval carnotaur...? the Margrave found himself wondering as it rampaged into the warehouse interior, attacking the Community evildoers with wild abandon and -more importantly for him- seizing their attention. Alongside it was a far more otherwordly beast, a six-limbed monster that could only conceivably be attributed to Tulpa. Though he'd borne a grimace only seconds ago, the Margrave found himself grinning. ”The enemy is in disarray. 'Twould seem they're not quite living up to the hype. Come to think of it, if they really were that strong, would they need to rely on intimidation tactics? I feel as though a great burden has been lifted off my shoulders.” He spoke quickly, aware of how inappropriate a dramatic monologue might be at the current moment. The impetus to act remained with him, after all, and he was loathe to waste such a perfect opportunity. From the shouting he heard earlier, he supposed that the dinosaur was in fact Tiger Lily, but even still he felt it ill-advised to risk jumping in alongside his new, carnivorous ally, or Tulpa's nightmarish projection. No matter—from a distance, the Margrave was an even greater threat.

When the call went out and Messiah began to move, the Margrave advanced just after her. From his heavily-laden coat he produced the toy gun he brandished in the mission prior, which promptly reverted to a MAC-10 in his hands. Rubber bullets or not, it would do some damage, particularly to enemies focused on a monster from the distant past. Perhaps I've been overthinking things. Bullets, applied tactically, solve a miraculous amount of problems. He stopped just after following Messiah through the doorway, and while she went ahead he trained his submachine gun on the group of baddies from behind cover. Lillian will shrug these off, he reminded himself as his index finger slid onto the trigger. ”Laying Waste: Opportune Burst!” he muttered through his smile before squeezing the trigger, sending a spray of bullets in the direction of the foe.

Genevieve Marceaux - Warehouse

It was quite the sight to see someone's head chopped off, never mind the reactions of those around which intensified the shock value. Genevieve acted almost instinctively, rushing to the decapitated body to see what she could do, if only to help herself feel better. However, when she was within distance of Zach's corpse, Genevieve was utterly repulsed by the grotesque sight. She took a step back and looked away, but she reminded herself that she had a job to do, regardless of how she felt about it.

"Come on, just do this already..."

Genevieve knelt down next to the corpse, looking away as she did so. Letting out a small breath, she took a hold of Zach's hand to begin the process. Even though she didn't necessarily feel any physical pain, the pulsing sensation that felt like it might turn into something much worse flooded her body. It was a familiar feeling, frightening nonetheless, and it was also accompanied by the usual wave of anxiety. Genevieve watched as the wound slowly healed, but then she stopped, quickly going over to where the head lay. She would try a little crazy experiment, unnerving to say the least, but she had yet to test the limitations of her abilities to such extent. Genevieve picked up the head, her heart rate steadily increasing and she started to feel a bit nauseated, and then she walked back to the body, kneeling down next to it once more. Genevieve pushed together Zach's head and body, wound to wound, and then she gently placed her free hand over his neck as she resumed the regeneration process. But even then, each separate wound slowly started to heal on its own, foregoing reattachment.

Damn...

Genevieve was disappointed with herself. She was in no way responsible for Zach's death, but the guilt started to slowly surface. For a moment, she sat there next to the corpse staring straight ahead before she realized that she had to either kill someone soon or die, and neither choice was the least bit appealing.

Raymond Haywood: Trainyard

He could have taken the shot at the white-robed girl with the glowing face. He should have, and yet he hadn’t, because just as he was about to scope in, his power deserted him again. He’d been slow, and that had left him vulnerable - and by the time he’d stepped back, something had burst through the wall, something of metal and concrete and hate, and who knew what else?

‘Doesn’t matter. Run,’ he half-muttered in response to Thunderbolt’s yell of what was likely terror. His own voice was notably at its loudest since he’d first met Jason, closer to regular speech than his usual whisper, and with that in mind, he chose to duck behind the nearest set of crates, retreating toward the back of the warehouse as he kept weaving between the crates. He had Chatterbox’s speech to listen to, as well as Heartless’ own attempts to put off the little girl up top… though he had to say, he didn’t think what he was doing was necessarily a good idea. When he’d said “deal with her”, he meant knock her out, not insult her. Who knew what her power was, after all…?

As it turned out, her power was the ability to turn into a dinosaur, as demonstrated by her transformation shortly after the actual exit came back in sight.

‘Heartless, what the fuck did you do?’ Headhunter asked. He spoke at a normal volume, but the tone of his voice was for once mildly shaken, the volume indicating what would be a panicked yell in anyone else’s mouth. And then the jackass just LEFT. How dare he.

Either way, he had a cross between a T-rex and a velociraptor bearing down on him, and he had a feeling the FN P90 wouldn’t suffice to kill it. Stop it. There was technically a human under all of that muscle mass, unfortunately. That in mind, he flicked his gun over to its M16A4 setting, and set himself up at a gap between the crates, ready to open fire on her knees the moment his power prepared for it.

Aim at left kneecap. Shatter kneecap, no permanent damage. Avoid blood vessels and ligaments, ensure bone shrapnel does not strike-

He was drawn out of his planning by a sudden burst of gunfire striking him in the back, dragging him out of his state with a pained grunt. With no time to scope in and redo the calculations, he promptly leapt to the side just as the giant lizard-girl charged past him, in turn barely avoiding being crushed under the weight of so many crates and winding up at the opposite wall of the warehouse in his frenzy to avoid being killed off-handedly.

In fact, it had been a dual burst: that of Margrave’s announced attack, the announcement unheard within the deafness of Raymond’s scoping in, and a second more accurate spray aimed by Corporal Johnson. Not that Raymond himself knew this; he was simply preoccupied with the throbbing pain in his back. His armour had absorbed a lot of the force of those rubber bullets, but wasn’t exactly getting rid of it, just distributing it all evenly. He’d be sore tomorrow, for sure.

And moreso, with the arrival of another soldier: Private Skeetz had shown up round the back, apparently taken one look at the situation with Lillian and decided it warranted no input from him, and moved to handle whatever was on the other side of the warehouse instead. And that was Headhunter, who was promptly shot at from the front, forcing him back behind the fallen crates.

Towards the dinosaur, as it happened. No way was Raymond about to have anything more to do with that. Quickly, he flipped the gun back over to the FN P90 setting, scoped in without a particular target in mind, then quickly span himself round the side of the crate he’d hidden behind whilst designating Skeetz as his target.

Target: enemy soldier, skull. Induce unconsciousness for one minute at minimum, avoid permanent brain damage. Shoot.

He’d admit, he wasn’t expecting to be aiming left of the soldier when he shot. However, he’d also admit that the resulting ricochet off of what appeared to be something solid in the crate the bullet hit did indeed knock the soldier out as intended, the bullet striking the man in the back-left of the helmet and apparently lodging in there as the target fell to the floor face-first.

And that about summed up the matter. Heartless was off with the package, Chatterbox and Sofia were doing whatever they were doing, and Thunderbolt was a big boy who ought not to need his assistance. And if he did, well, he’d shoot down these folks from a distance later on. Until then, he began to run out of the warehouse, ready to try and take on anyone else who followed on after him.

Jason shook his head in disbelief at everything that was happening. Heartless was retreating with the package. Chatterbox and Sofia were making their way out. Headhunter had been caught in the middle of this mess and was working on an escape now...

"I guess that's my cue!" he laughed as he shook his arms. Those rubber bullets sure did sting... If he hadn't been in costume he suspected hee would've been on the ground from them.

"Scenarios, kiddos!"

With one soldier on the ground from the designated shooter, Jason made to weave his way past the freaking Dino and.... Whatever that thing was, into his own escape.

The sting of rubber bullets bouncing harmlessly off of her legs was like small pinches as she swept forward. People were running around, people were leaving, soldier falling...

At least that damned talking was gone with her roaring.

But the bad people were getting away. No. She wouldn't let them.

She snapped at the big guy as he ran between her legs, barely missing him. But unluckily for him, her tail didn't miss. She looked around for the man in confusion. Where was he?

Jason, meanwhile, had held onto the tail instead of going flying, a feat he was honestly surprised at managing. Slowly he managed to move closer to the base of the tail. As the dino turned and moved, he felt his power come back and he began channeling.

Lillian let out a confused growl as her feet lifted off the ground just barely, and a pulling pain extended along her back and tail. In the next instant she felt air whoosh past her and then...

Her whole body ached. She shook her head, sharp pain and heat spreading along her right side. The side she landed on when she was... Thrown? Was she thrown? She... Couldn't understand what just happened, but she did understand the pain.

She lumbered to her feet, roaring in protest. She was back by the door she'd entered from. The back door?

The big man was moving objects like they were paper in his way. Escaping! He was... Remarkably fast, actually. Was he a Mover?

Lillian charged after the bad guys. They'd all left. Leaving?

Halfway towards the backdoor Lillian stumbled, sliding several feet before coming to a stop. Blood was flowing from a gash in her hip area, nothing threatening in her current form but definitely impeding her mobility.

"Messiah, the enemy is making a retreat!" called out the lieutenant, stating a rather obvious fact. She began opening fire on the closest of the villains, Thunderbolt. At that range, and considering Thunderbolt's natural brute toughness, they were rendered highly ineffective. "Damn!" she cursed. This whole thing was going rather poorly, but even if these villains got away, the mission would still largely be considered a success. They were to scout and secure the warehouse. If a few unrelated villains got away, then at least the mission itself was still good to go.

"Hello dearly uninvited guests!" A new voice, the voice of a woman dripping with sadist undertones, began to blare over the train station's intercom, easily heard both inside and outside of the building.

"Oh no," said the lieutenant, the quiet of her voice serving as proof that she recognized the woman speaking to them. All of the Wards would invariably know of the voice, even if they'd never met its owner in person. As part of their usual training they had been required to listen to voice clips captured of one of the Community's leadership. But this was no training exercise and this was no pre-recorded clip. If Troll were speaking to them, then the Wards would be in incredible danger. The Jacks might have known of her as well, but only by reputation. This was going to be a first for the villains.

"You see, I told Father that if everyone went to the rally tonight that a bunch of our good shit would be left unprotected, and I was right! I never thought that we'd get two families of rats invading though! This will be fun!" At that point doors and gates surrounded the station slammed shut. "Ooooh, but don't worry, I won't be playing with your widdy bitty emotions and crushing you into tear-stained lumps of human shells! Fun as that'd be, I found a somewhat... Different way to have fun. I'm only here to spectate! So without further adieu, go get'em, Overrun!"

At that moment a door opened up inside the warehouse section of the train station, the door Heartless had found to be completely airtight and thus was unable to scout. The door that lead to the office at the top of the catwalks overhanging the rest of the storage facility. Out stepped a figure clad in black with a full face mask. Accounting for the combat boots, he was probably around 6 feet tall, and built with a nice toned muscle. Opening up the left side of his black coat, he pulled out a sword ready for combat. From the right side he produced a boomerang. These weapons, they felt familiar to the Wards somehow...

"Hello old friends," he spoke coldly. "I figured, 'I don't belong in this world, so what does it matter if I fuck some shit up?' After all, you're not my Wards. Elliot, you're as self-absorbed as ever, you prick. But look, I learned something from you." The figure gestured to himself with a bit of a flourish. "I learned how to be edgy."

The villain that Troll had introduced as "Overrun" jumped down from the catwalk. As he did so, clones began emerging from around him. A number of them were used to break his fall, while others charged the Wards, the two conscious PRT soldiers, and the Jacks. "HahahahahHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
More and more clones kept emerging like a never ending river churning out more water. The first wave were completely indistinguishable from the original Overrun, but as more and more kept coming they began to exhibit differences. Subtle at first, but they became larger differences as more kept being produced.

"Wards, you have permission to engage with lethal force!" came the hurried voice of Decoy over their communicators. "Those clones are artificial constructs, they're not really alive!"

"Nobody is escaping my stampede!" shouted one of the dozens of clones, this one distinguishable as a woman. Using her arms, she made a pulling motion toward the Jacks that were in the process of getting the hell out of dodge. The air rippled with each tugging motion, and space itself folded in on itself in such a way that drug Headhunter, Chatterbox, Sofia, and even Heartless back into the building. Beyond what anybody could have imagined, Heartless was even being drug up out of the ground, in his normal physical form!

All five Wards. All five Jacks. Stuck together in a warehouse together as they faced an endlessly increasing amount of enemies, some of which had begun demonstrating their own superpowers!

Damien/Swarm - Minutemen "Headquarters"

Swarm began to walk casually toward an alleyway nearby. Its not that he didn't hear Affliction, but there was no need for the remaining members of the Minutemen to know they had powers. Getting out of their sight was his intention. The car was just within range of his ability. Strangely the child did not make any more announcements or have any indication of hearing what they said.

This pissed off Damien greatly. Without a word the car began to float toward the MM HQ slowly. Then, it suddenly whipped forward with great force in an arc headed right for the kid. If he did not move he would surely be made into paste.
