This is the distinction between antagonist and villain. Though even villains can have noble sentiments or goals that don't oblige them to be hostile dicks.

Outright villains are more likely to be talked with than antagonists, after all, an antagonist is someone who opposes by definition. This can only lead to the RP going down one route in the long run.

I think you've got it backwards. Heroic characters will, by definition, be disinclined to work with the blatantly evil psychopaths than they are people who were just antagonists in general in their source material. I wasn't talking about making characters that will be antagonists in this game as well.

Well, I didn't meant blatantly evil psychos as well. I mean something more in the camp of pragmatic villains that are willing to go the "enemy of my enemy" route. These types are less likely to be antagonistic when the situation calls for it, even though they would gladly break apart from the heroes when given the chance.

I hardly think of complete monsters as villains instead of plot devices that need to be deal with in some way or another, so that's the the cause of the confusion. Just like antagonists usually mean not just characters that do evil deeds or other villainous things but types like rival heroes and such as well, anyone that would get in the way of the heroes, really.

@PKMNB0YI didn't remember you saying not to. I only remembered KoL saying it, and they aren't a GM.

I wasn't planning on starting a fight either. I was just going to demand answers. I'll delete the last line, though.

@TheUnknowable: Oh. I think I had that discussion elsewhere, then.

Point stands on the second bit though.

Edit: As in, the group being in a different area entirely now. I mean I guess you could sniff them down, though...

(But not-inline mentions would be great too thanks)

I have 3 perfect characters. Yoshitsune Minamoto from Genji: Dawn of the Samurai, Raziel from Legacy of Kain; Defiance, and Jarl Ulfrich Stormcloak from Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Didn't we have someone barred from apping Raziel not too long ago because soul-sucking undead vampire is no good?

Yes, actually. In fact, the same person is proposing him. Right now.

Y'know what? Honestly, let's just save everyone some headache.
@Rockin Strings: If you can't a) read the OP or b) even ATTEMPT to apply what I've already stated to you before and you CLAIMED to acknowledge, then I'm going to have to kindly ask you to leave. It's like... Seriously. If you have to ask a question that is answered in the OP, then give forms that have little to no substance that I have issues with, then fail to address them while forgetting that incident ever occurred, then ASK ANOTHER QUESTION ANSWERED IN THE OP before attempting to apply those same problematic characters again, then I don't forsee any cordiality in our future.

I don't ask for much. Really, I don't. Just that you are self-sufficient enough to read materials on your own, be receptive to feedback, and have the decency to put meaningful effort into what you provide-not only to me, but to the other RPers here. Your actions thus far, here and elsewhere, have lead me to believe you act otherwise.

And thus, I once again kindly ask you to leave. End of discussion.

@KoL Hey, i wanted to ask if i could have Sanaki potentially run into Meteora, since PKMN told me to send the purple-haired loli to NY. Any thoughts on how you'd like to do that (since the other guy left Meteora high and dry)?

Oh, that's alright by me. I was thinking of posting tomorrow or the day after (my concentration is way lower than I'd like it to be) so it works quite well. I don't even mind waiting a bit more if need be.

Anyway as for ways to approach her, if you character is looking like she's dressed for a cosplay event for no reason at all when she walks in the same place as Meteora (which is a given) that would be a good beginning. Since Meteora is stuffing herself with food, apparently close by the door, your character could naturally run into her before anyone else.

The rest will probably work itself from there. Since Meteora is reasonable and experienced with this.

@Crusader Lord@KoLI would have to undo my post to talk to her for a long time, as it was already established that he left after a minute or two, but Stark is drawing quite a crowd. If either of you came to where he was and proved that you were from another world he would definitely love to team up. He just didn't have any reason to think Meteora wasn't from this Earth.

@PKMNB0Y Oh, sorry, I just got this mixed up with another RP of a similar nature that I'm trying to join. I know nothing I could say would make it any better but I would at least try the other 2 characters. It's fine if you say no.

@Raineh Daze Multiple other characters with the same name do have the h at the end. (Ulfrich Stern from Code Lyoko for example.)

Forgive me for the poor quality of my posts. I'm feeling that my creative juices aren't running as well as I'd like them to these days. Hopefully, my writing will be back to a good level soon enough.

  • Name: Klaus von Reinhertz
  • Gender: Male
  • Personality: Klaus is about as gentlemanly as one can be, bordering on the point of parody. He's nice enough to put his health on the line for a complete stranger--even if they were willing to violently get rid of him--and as a result, Libra's second in command specifically works around him to do things that Klaus wouldn't approve of. Fittingly, he's also extremely protective of his friends, even more than random people and, with his stubbornness, not the sort of person that you want to make angry.
Despite his appearance, Klaus is remarkably intelligent, able to go an extraordinary length of time in what can only be described as extradimensional exponentially complicated chess against a being mostly made of brains. On top of this, he's got a keen interest in botany.
  • Brief History: Klaus is the third son of the Reinhertz family and, apparently, its heir--certainly, though, a family of wealth, as it has multiple combat butlers, even if only one accompanies him. Present in New York during the Great Collapse, he was presumably responsible for the founding of Libra in order to keep the balance in Hellsalem's Lot between Earth and the Alter World. He's been in charge ever since.
  • Universe of Origin: Kekkai Sensen
  • Equipment: He has a crucifix... gauntlet... thing. That draws his blood for use in combat techniques.
  • Abilities: For some reason, Klaus is enormously strong and durable. That is, whilst most humans are completely helpless in the face of the nastier Beyondians, he can beat them in a straight fist fight. Of course, whilst immensely helpful to the process of fighting the strongest of the lot, it's from far enough--for which Klaus has his Brain Grid Blood Battle Style. What does this consist of? Shaping his blood into crosses, mostly for use as spears, shields, shields to smash through things with, a coffin to shield... it's some use for ranged capabilities, but mostly it's "hit things with blood shaped as crosses".
Also useful for sealing away absurdly powerful vampire things, but their true name needs to be known for that. It's a pretty handy and unique talent seeing as they otherwise appear to be impossible to keep down.
  • Other: Definitely Libra's strongest member.

In any case...

Let's start some plot.

I'll post sometime between later today and this weekend.

Just one question, how does Stark know about Meteora? She's concealing her and didn't even got close to him ever since he came back. Well, it doesn't matter that much since I'll have her feign blatant ignorance in my post. It just feels like too much of an accurate guess for no specifically good reason.
