Well, it isn't that Axel is a, too use your word "asshole", he just doesn't care for other people much. My last post gave the other digidetined the broadstrokes of what is wrong. Kudamon even admits that Axel is a nice guy if you can get him to open up to you.

Axel may "know" the others, but that doesn't mean he considers them his friends. It's like a case of your co-workers. you know them, but you aren't necesarilly friends with them. I was planning on having him grow and start to try and open up to them more as time goes on.

Yeah, it seems our characters have simply grown apart though honestly the only reason Danny wanted to stay out of the café and thus away from the others was the crowd
