Images quite obviously not mine Name:Jacob Hare
Age:21
Gender:Male
Allignment: The Guild
Rank: Recruit
Birthmark:
Birthmark location: Back of the neck, where the spine attatches to the skull.
Abilities: In simple terms, portals. In a few more words, Jacob can literally bend reality in order to close the distance between two locations. The stability and accuracy of these portals depend greatly upon Jacob's wellbeing, and any use of these portals is taxing on him.
Gateways- The more traditional portal, these take time and effort to create and maintain, and should not be used more than once a week due to the effort required. To properly create the end location for a Gateway, Jacob must either have a personal knowledge of the desired location, or must have eye contact with it, be it through the naked eye or a live video feed for as long as the Gateway needs to be open. Break of eye contact or concentration will sever the link, forcing all occupants currently in a Gateway out to their original location.
Blink- A short range movment spell derived from Gateway. Unable to move a target farther than a few feet, Blink has trouble moving anyone other than Jacob, and impossible for those not in physical contact with him. Like Gateway, the number and size of occupants as well as repeated use is extremely tiring. Unlike gateway, Blink is instant and can move Jacob beyond thin walls with or without eye contact.
History: from a young age Jacob always knew he was different, but unlike other magi his powers were never unstable or dangerous enough in youth for it to cause problems, no many of Jacobs issues in youth stemmed from the sheer fact that he knew nobody could keep him in one place.
Moving from family to family, Jacob stayed the longest with the Hare family, a very traditional southern values group of people. Church every sunday, respect your elders or face pawpaw's belt, family above all else.
Jacob left at age 13 however, due to an incident with his adoptive uncle that gave him a fear of physical contact and sent his uncle to jail for a long time. However cheerful on the outside, Jacob never attatched himself to anyone after that, until his wandering led him to learn of the two safe havens for magi.
It did not take long to learn a decent amount about either, and eventually he sided with the guild, though unknown to any but him he stil very much sits on the fence, as of yet still unwilling to fully devote himself to either cause.
