"I think it's really important to reiterate this: Anyone who spends the next two weeks expecting Fallout: 76 to be a new traditional single-player RPG will be VERY disappointed"

- Jason Schreier

Welp, into the trash can it goes.

Aren't Bethesda fans used to disappointment by now?

Mhm.

Would've been enough of a sap to buy into it if it was meant to be a traditional Fallout game, though. Have to see in the coming weeks what information they drop at E3 about this "VERY disappointing" game for single-player fans like myself.

I don't play enough Fallout to care too much about it, but I did place about a hundred or so hours into Fallout 3 if that counts? And @Raddum? I'm going to install Fallout and Fallout 2 when I get the opportunity to, but I've just started a fresh Dragon Age playthrough so it won't be for any time yet.

I still have hope. He never said it was gonna be some full blown MMO, so I'm maybe thinking more along the lines of the Borderlands co-op where you could complete the campaign together? I know Bethesda are a bunch of neanderthals but surely they wouldn't release a Fallout MMO as their first game after #SavePlayerOne.

You know, I'm happy to accept disapproval for this but I would actually play a Fallout MMO.

I can't solve world hunger but I can effortlessly mock Bethesda so the choice is easy.

@Prawn

The remaster we really need.

After the Spyro Trilogy, of course. That's one of the two things I'm actually looking forward to at E3. (The other being Kingdom Hearts 3)

imo E3 is gonna be pretty trash this year. Especially from Microsoft and Sony. (Though we've grown to expect that)

The last Battlefield game I wholly enjoyed that wasn’t a Bad Company spinoff was probably Battlefield 2. I know that mention might seem odd because a lot of people enjoyed Battlefield 3 and I understand Battlefield 2 has been overrated from hell and back, but it’s the only one that still comes to mind that isn’t BC or 1942 that really defined my “battlefield experience”. I miss a lot of the mechanics and less streamlined contemporization of the series. I guess in a lot of ways the only game that I’ve played that carries on BF2’s concepts today is probably ARMA and that makes me really fucking sad.

Bad Company 2 was one of those games that I could never see myself enjoying, yet when I played it with some friends back in the day was actually an enjoyable and fun experience. Bad Company 2: Vietnam was decent too, not sure if you played that one. I think the last Battlefield game that I played was Battlefield 3, played it for a little bit, had fun flying around in a jet and that was it for me. Haven't touched the series since, and will likely not do so again. Maybe it's a sign that I'm getting a bit old, but shooters don't really do much for me any more.
