Some of this also probably depends on whether or not the King himself is an actual badass. Like, regardless of whether or not he has his army with him, what if he has some kind of Royal Bloodline magic or whatever too? Or enchanted armor, weaponry, etc? If he's intended to be a final boss in some fashion, even if he was caught alone or off guard he probably couldn't die at this point for more legit reasons besides just plot armor--we're probably not "strong enough" yet to take him down, like Link never is even after getting the first 3 McGuffins of every first half of every game.

It's still a totally in-character decision for Nadi to make, but if Telma were to present all these reasons to her in Product's next post I doubt she'd actually be convinced. It might be better for Telma to lead all that "gimme action!" fire in a different direction--maybe request that she create a distraction in the town square, or that she make her way to the top of the city wall and give a signal when the King's army is getting close. Heck, maybe go steal some other item--like say, an old signet ring from the Royal Tombs--that the King might try to use as either justification for his own continued rule, or falsified evidence against the Queen, etc.

Zeroth, the king married into royalty, Zelda has the bloodline, he wouldn't have more than a Noble bloodline.

enchanted weapons and armor are almost guaranteed, maybe even a "royal secrets" type deal. Y'know, drag some dark secrets out of that "blood stained history", whip out that book of dark magic and toast some fools.

I'm also not saying Nadijah is out of character, I'm just trying to get into her head, see things form her point of view. That assassination plot caught me outta left field is all. Zero to Regicide faster than you can say "Hey, listen."

I'm surprised it surprised you, Armor, since like Zeroth said, it's definitely an ic reaction of her. Being hotheaded and reckless and having grown up in the middle of a war, where killing people was the norm are her key points. She was told the king wants to kill people by the thousands - her people, as well as his own. What do you do to a person that wants to hurt your people? You don't grab their baby and hide for eighteen years. You kill them, simple as. Doesn't matter who they are; if they can bleed, they can die. That's what she was taught.

And since I feel like I need to repeat it again, that's specifically what she thinks. I know it's implausible.

Mind, it's not really a "plot", though, and there isn't really a need to discuss its plausibility. Like I've stated a million times by now, I will find a way for her to not go through with it. I don't intend to derail the rp, make things difficult for Product and/or kill my character off. I have every intention of having her join the others down the well, and not go on a special quest on her own. Unless Product would prefer otherwise, but even then I'd rather she join the others sooner rather than later; character interactions are my jam.

It was just one reckless comment from a reckless character that will probably be resolved in my post; it wasn't me trying to set up a side plot for regicide. I don't really know how this conversation happened. It'd be like a short-tempered character shouting "I'll kill you!" at another player's character and people thinking it's now PvP and one of them must die.

I just didn't want to find an excuse to throw her down the well yet, before everyone there has had a chance to post and catch up.

Again, I'm not saying she's out of character, nor do I have an issue with your post. I was half-expecting Telma getting grilled for more info, or for Nadijah to 'refuse the call to action'. Nadijah earnestly suggest killing the king was just unexpected and funny because we know it'd never happen.

I dunno, maybe I just have a weird sense of humor.

My bad! Yeah, the suggestion was meant to be absolutely ridiculous, so I'm glad it came across just as stupid as intended then, heh.

Not much. The group finally progressed down the Well, and Nadijah/Telma are plotting to ambush the King.

I’m bored waiting on posts, so I can imagine the active posters in the well feel the same. I would love to wait forever, but I would hate for this RP to die from lack of activity.

Everyone in the well is free to post again so we can advance to the castle.
