@Apollosarcher Yeah, well done. Now, onto my part. Hm, this does seem to move slowly. Oh, well.
Here's a post. Not much remains of this particular scenario now, heh. Just the first boss. I’ll let you all handle the situation as you feel fit.
There was something Crimson Raven did that I rather liked in the PM-adventure. She took on a bunch of enemies and leveled up, and she included the level-up in the post along with a level-up statement, like those the characters make in the later games commenting on the level they just gained. I really rather liked that touch, and would be quite delighted if you'd feel like doing something similar. This reminded me of the suggestion I believe Crimson made, that there could be contests for coming up with quotes. So, how about the following?
Level-up quotes aren’t nearly as interesting as Critical Hit quotes that are in the game. As such, it feels a bit strange to have a contest about which ones are the most interesting. So, fill in the following for your own character, and I’ll give you a bit of a bonus. It usually goes something like the following:
0-1 Points: A statement of disappointment or wondering if they should have noticed something.
2-3 Points: A fairly neutral statement of progress.
4-5 Points: A statement of great progress.
6+ Points: An even greater statement of progress!
0-1 Points, but you have capped most stats: Statement about having reached become strong/reached limits.
Changed Class: Statement about trying new things.
The last two are not nearly as important as I’m unlikely to cap any stats we’re not actually entirely using and change class happens, like, once, and I’m pretty sure your reaction is going to depend on the situation at the time. Still. If your character was playable in a Fire Emblem game, what would their quotes be? You don’t have to do these right now, and just because you filled these in you don’t need to be satisfied with one for each, you can make up as many as you like and new ones for each time you level up if you so feel like, and there is no requirement to adhering to this at all, I just liked it, heh. For those who want to.
With a warning about spoilers further down, here are examples from Fire Emblem: Awakening. Those who fill that in, whenever they do so, I have no plans on forcing you to do it swiftly or at all, are allowed to request a single item from me. This item I will somehow weave into the story to ensure it ends up in the party’s possession. I can’t guarantee it’ll necessarily fall in your grasp, specifically, but I’ll ensure it’ll appear. You can also save your item request, let it be until you’re in a situation where you know better what you want. You cannot request any legendary items, I’ll note.
Then, there was that other thing. When in the games the characters perform Critical Hits, they occasionally drop badass lines to look awesome, the example given being Frederick’s “Pick a god and pray!” line, which is pretty cool. So there was a suggestion to make coming up with cool lines like that into a contest, where people could vote for which one they liked the most, but… well, I don’t really know what people would want for kind of reward for that. I have a few ideas of what I could potentially give, but what would people want? Haha.
Thought this would be potentially interesting. Feel free to disregard if you’re unimpressed.
Oh, and I’m letting one more player in, just because. The actual reason why being that they’re Rune_Alchemist’s friend, and that 8 is a much more aesthetically pleasing number than 7. So, that’ll be that.
