Shotgunner with an emphasis on reactionary fire and running people down. Think Xcom Assault, as soon as I can work those Turn based perks into a real time shooter....

I plan on making a sneaky stabby character with a pair of hand guns and an extensive knowledge of gun kata in case stealth and stabbing is removed from the equation.

Probably a scouty speedy character. Primary would be an SMG or maybe dual auto pistols. Secondary, probably explosive or a knife or something.

Seems we have a mix of speedy scouts or characters dedicated to keeping people pinned down. Maybe I could hook up with someone, like Hachi was suggesting, and form something like a TACP or a regular old sniper/spotter team.

Hmm, yeah. From a practical perspective, do you mean something like leapfrogging, or fixed-position picking off?

I'm working on the main thread just as I'm posting this. Expect it to be ready soon, possibly even today. I just wanted to update everyone on what's going on behind the curtains.

Are all the weapons gun guns? Or will it be like SAO where there's some nifty energy weapons too?


There'll be energy-based weaponry as well, they'll be rare but also very powerful. For this reason, I don't want to see more than one or two players wielding any form of energy weapons.

When the main thread goes live, I'll give the final opinion on whether or not something works, but I can already say that no one ever heard about a PC wielding energy swords in the game before. There are going to be rumors that such a weapon exists, but they'll be more of an urban legend spread among the player-base than anything else.
