I will say that it is a technical marvel with impeccable acting on all ends even if I rightfully don't like any of the characterization, narration, or pretty much anything else. Also, I really really don't appreciate people disregarding how I feel as fanboy angst. It's up there with people saying if I dislike the film I'm a sexist bigot. It's not cool.

I’m in no way saying you can’t dislike it, nor anything else. And I know how y’all are and am inferring nothing about y’all. Because y’all are great. But I think a lot of the fan reaction has been ridiculous regarding Star Wars in general.

Then again I’m someone who thinks Star Wars pre TFA/TLJ was comprised of 2 and1/2 good-to-great movies and then layers upon layers of shit.

And the new movies keep ripping off the New Jedi Order and forgetting why those books worked.

I'd be more inclined to be forgiving towards the new movies if the people making them didn't have a habit of jumping onto social media to attack their own customers. There's only so many times you can hear your own concerns dismissed as "whiny man-babies" or accused of being racist/sexist/etc before you stop separating the art from the artist.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I think sometimes people can handle it better, but I don't blame people for losing their cool now and again when you're constantly bombarded by the worst people on the internet.

I think it's just best to ignore creators of things you like on social media. I'm solidly in the "Never meet your heroes" camp, because something or another is always gonna end up pissing you off

Technically? No. They'd probably end up being some variant of the XJ-Wings. Probably the 3 Series.

I'm not against a temporary ban against some folks if this keeps going.

I'm 100% serious in that I want to nip the Star Wars thing in the bud before some harsh words are exchanged over who likes what, who thinks what is bullshit, who believes Boba Fett was the secret savior of the entire franchise, ect. This is a path that has literally led to paid actors and directors either leaving social media due to harassment or saying goodbye to the prospect of working on the franchise in the first place, and it's a slippery slope of toxicity that has no place in a game about superheroes.

I am not interested in who thought what about The Last Jedi (nor do I want to divulge my thoughts), just as I'm not looking to start a debate over the prequels, the spin-offs, or anything else. This is the stuff that idiotic online fighting is bred from. Unless you're literally Mark Hamill posting on the forum and want to reference the day you had to film in the bacta tank for Empire in order to relate it to writing a post, this conversation is done.

I do not appreciate being undermined, nor do I want to start inflicting punishment over something as trivial as this, but that's the way it is. This is exactly why I had reservations about doing an SW game in the first place, because if the OOC thread is going to be nothing but this type of snide swiping at parts of a franchise some people like and other people don't ad-infinium, it's not worth the headache.
