''No allegiance to the federation...what about her species?'' Amber mumbled to herself, very silently, as she turned back to her commander right before he brought about silence and order. To the large marine who walked right beside her, she motioned a small appreciation nod with her head. Mostly for the sake of politeness, but she also didn't want to be at cold with all of her future teammates. If that big dragon was to dislike her for her lack of restraint, Amber felt like it was a good idea to have the other giant beside her. Just in case...

The scientist took a careful look at the system's map. Again, the spread of the X was astonishing - it never failed to amaze her. As well as deeply scare her, which was reassuring considering her unhealthy interest in such a virus. The field they were given was also of interest, but she was no engineer and not all that interested in how the tech functioned. She would have to wait to actually come in contact with the X to see what kind of effect it had on it, and what reaction the X would have towards the shield.

''Sir. Do you know if, by any chance, any form of data was saved from SR-388 Oribtal station and safeguarded on the SR-387 outpost? On top of the observation note of the events that transpired on the neighboring world, I mean. I would really love to take a look - and bring back - at some of the researches notes the scientists there gathered on the X and the Metroids.''

Kaze's ears reflexively folded just as the blare of the mic popped up. His crimson eyes turned towards the other elder of the room. "Didn't need to shout." He stated, no one had been yelling or even raising their voice. At least the man had just used a mic and shouted. His own people would have just slugged you and let you know certain shit wasn't going to fly. The marine decided to say something stupid which only earned him a rather feral grin. "And yet it's 'scumbags' like me who do your dirty work because you're fully incapable of doing it..." He murmured to the smaller man in his clunky looking armor.

The admiral finally got on to saying a full briefing and mentioned other squad members. That piqued his interest. "No questions about the mission itself. But other people are coming with us?" He questioned. He figured a small group would be going not a large one. Too many people tended to make a mess of things, it's part of the reason why he tended to work solo or just with one other person who was more technologic than himself.

Vekt stayed in his chair without a word escaping his mouth as always. There were conversations going on about things he had no idea about. And things he dared not to join in discussing. He silently went through the steps of making a bundle of dynamite, and mimed a little mushroom cloud. Hopefully they could start going on their way. Like now.
"..."
He wondered if he could find anything to make some new combination of explosives with.

Questions did arise, actual useful questions that could carry this to the next stage, once he addressed the first two. Garrett decided to begin with the grim and unfortunate nature of their information about the X and how it came to them. He'd reviewed the more viceral and horrid parts himself. Briefly, he considered not sharing the nature of full impact with the group, but they needed to be mentally prepared. The dragon wouldn't care, but even HE needed to know there were limits to every being, that even HIS mortality would be in question.

"The information regarding the X directly from BSL Station comes in two forms. The first is directly from station personnel itself and the second is from the AI that we had built into the gunship we supplied Samus Aran with. Transmissions from the sation had stopped soon after the initial outbreak. They barely had the chance to begin examination and most communications then on were frantic action reports and...distress calls, in which some members of the staff were in the process of being devoured."

The Admiral paused, remembering the recordings. People, conscious people, begging for help at their workstation...even as the X infection consumed them from within OR without, their bodies melting away to create some hideous deformed mutant or just a...puddle on the ground. Some members of command were intrigued by these things. Admiral Garrett was not among them. He had been seizing Zebesian bio-tech research to recreate the Metroid, as they had done. The Metroid was an animal, with a defined weakness. It was controllable, and apparently...it was necessary. Some would argue that the Metroid was also too dangerous. Perhaps, perhaps not. It was certainly as much a bone of contention with the bounty hunter out there as was anything to do with the X. No matter. He continued.

"The main source of data on the X - their adaptive nature, their consuming methods, their ability to consume even data from machinery, and of course their ability to take different forms in an act of combative mimickry - all of this came from the AI we implanted on the gunship. However, after some time, the AI went rogue and stopped transmitting, which is why we do not have any data on the final hours of the BSL Station. No doubt the outpost will have recorded data on what the X in the vicinity has been up to since then, especially if they've been overrun. The planet may have to be scorched, evenn though we left no ships there for intelligent X Parasites to escape with."

He couldn't imagine how the X had managed to get anywhere off of their planet besides the station, though. Did a meteor filled with X-mass hit the planet? How likely was THAT? SR-387 and 388 may have been 'close by', but that's on the astronomical scale. In reality, it was like hitting Mars with a rocket from Earth. Even if the X literally ate rocket scientists, you'd be talking about a fiery spitball, not a rocket with maneuvering thrusters. What was it that happened...? Well, they'd find out.

"As for the bounter hunter...she is to be taken alive. Yes, she may do her 'thing'. We haven't forgotten her abilities. We have prepared for that. We have prepared for extra support and combat ability on this mission in the form of the rest of the team. Follow me."

Admiral Garrett made for the door as all the moniters shut off at a glance and a nod from his person. The door opened, and he - with all the guards inside this room and a few outside - escorted them down the hall to another room. In this room, the two occupants had been listening to the briefing this entire time, but they already had it prior to the arrival of the group that was gathered now. This had been because they had more specific parts of the mission to pay attention to and prepare for. This room was what appeared to be an observation/training area, the group coming into the observation part of said room. The occupant they immediately saw was a dark-haired felinoid, who had had the chance to observe the other figure in the training area for some time. Garrett gestured to the cat-man first.

"This is Tribunal Cassius Svent of the Collective, based out of Elciazia. Mr. Svent has elected to be a part of this mission as well, but he is of particular importance because he is the main support agent. While you all will be given your quarantine belts here and now - he has them at the moment - he has additional quarantine and energy supply equipment to extend the effectiveness of all of you, and therefore to extend your lives while dealing with the X. He is also a fully-trained medic, and while I realize that won't mean much if the X infect you, you may end up sustaining 'clean' injuries that require him, and so he will be able to treat you. The last member of your team is our measure to ensure Samus Aran's capture and to generally safeguard the mission..."

He gestured to the observation window, allowing the lot of them to view the final team member, whom Cassius had been watching deal with a number of automated drones. It was not a human being. It was not an alien being. It was a machine... This humanoid device was standing over 6 feet, at least, cast in a blue-black armor with three red eyes comprising its 'face', the eyes set side-by-side...by side, with wings and engines on its back. It was standing in a room full of destroyed robot drones. Clearly, it had just been through live-fire testing. It - He? - seemed to be staring at the observation window, perhaps waiting for the next challenge.

"This is Zen. He was developed by a scientist looking to create an artificial being which could ensure the safety and security of intelligent life within the Federation. Although his creator is not from the military, a machine being made for such applications requires military oversight, hence why his file appeared on my desk. I green-lit him personally for this mission. But don't take my word for it..."

The Admiral now gestured to the training area of the room as several trapdoors opened up in the ceiling, dropping down...Space Pirates! These must've been captured members of the Zebesian, brought here from whatever incarceration they were housed in so that they could test the android's abilities. Garrett smirked over at Kaze, as though to say 'Hah. Zebesians are hard to find now, my ass...'. Zen was immeediately aware of their presence. He was surrounded by a dozen or so of the creatures. And though they were a little confused, themselves, it didn't take long for the alien crustaceans to recognize a threat and attack! And yes, they were armed!

No sooner had they opened fire than Zen had leapt up and engaged its engine system, quickly avoiding fire while pointing its arms at enemy combatants, shooting off consecutive laser blasts against one opponent after the next. Those wise enough to leap out of the way were quickly tracked and fired at with the other arm, striking them in mid-air so they could be fired upon while they lay prone. Zen seemed to immediately take advantage of physical weakness to compound on disabling or destroying an enemy. A pirate that launched itself right at him from the wall found itself gripped by one of his hands without even looking, and an electro-shocking system stunned the creature allowing him to drop it to the ground and stomp down heavily on it, cracking open the exoskeleton. Several gun ports on its body fired upon whatever pirates happened to be facing it dead on, there, and it ducked as several attacked from behind. The android quickly crawled aside from this assault on all-fours before firing back with concentrated beams from its eyes, focusing on all three pirate attackers there and blasting them apart.

"Zen is a fully-functional AI-driven android combatant, and unlike previous developments of the Federation in this direction...he has no organic parts for the X to infect. His creator, Dr. Zenigawa, had been teaching him in simulation up to this point. We have been completing his real-world training with live-fire exercises to make certain his readiness. We can't have an AI that confuses reality for fiction and fails to understand the meaning of real-life consequences. I made certain he understood that lives were on the line here. It's why he's been training non-stop now."

The android seemed to have finished them all, but then a last pirate - which had been clinging to the delivery chute this entire time - dropped down on him from behind! There was a brief struggle as the Zebesian tried to damage him with its claws, but Zen flipped and hit the ground to pound the creature with his weight, followed by a retractable electro-charged blade coming out of its wrist to slice it apart! Garrett hit the button for the intercom into the room.

"Alright, Zen. That's enough. Come and meet the team."

"Yes, Admiral."

The voice emanating from whatever speakers the machine possessed was that of a deep-sounding vocal. Zen was not made to sound pleasant. He wasn't pretending to be nice here. He was providing what he was designed for: Security. Nothing says security like a damn-powerful guard with an intimidating voice. He now stepped through the heavy-armored door that connected the two chambers and appeared in their midst. He appeared to be examining each and every one of them now.

"Well, I'll leave you all to get acquainted and to begin your mission. Don't take too long. Time is a factor here. I have to get back to overseeing just about every other fucking thing keeping me from my memoirs. So, if you'll excuse me. Oh, and before you ask, anyone here who does not have their own vessel will be transported on one of our fast military transport ships. Claypool there can sign it out for you. Zen has had a gunship retrofitted with his own support equipment, largely in case the bounter hunter has some ideas on aerial combat. Good luck, all of you, and get a move on."

Okay, so... They were assembled, they had a couple of additions to the team they weren't expecting, and they had the go...to go. Admiral Garrett was out the door and he would expect results. They had an idea on where to start, if nothing else. They had all of their equipment, here and now. They were ready.

Anybody getting a bad feeling about this? Anybody been getting a bad feeling right from the start? You should...

The Tribunal made note of everyone from the monitoring room... Everyone certainly had personality... "Haughty... Coward... Self Righteous... condescending... cruel... jaded... You don't get to choose your family." These were the thoughts going in his head as he oversaw them, bickering like children when cooperation was needed. The Tribunal didn't feel very comfortable at first, but he felt amused to see them squabble... and some outright shake in contained fury, fear. It was hard not to have some type of laughter that he had to contain, the way he saw it? They needed to drop their egos.

As they entered the room, he wasn't wearing his combat armor, for why should he feel fearful of his new family? He stood up, wearing a Black body suit with straps, and belts holding delicate equipment, he raised his goggles with his left hand as he made eye contact with each one of them as they entered the room. Upon being introduced, he gave a silent, stoic nod to the Admiral, before his eyes began to size them up. There was the tall quakeing dragon, interesting shade he thought, granted he didn't know of their race till about two hours ago, where he was reviewing profiles in an office before being brought to see a failsafe -- something to help hold a leash if a situation goes down the drain -- Zen. While he was wary about Zen, it was nice to know the Machine was unlikely to turn on him, unlike a Certain Motherbrain. Granted... He heard rumors of the Aurora units, but to which he knows they've been competent as far as Whispers go. But that was neither here nor there.

As the Zebesians were funneled into the combat gallery as he'd call it, he couldn't help but feel sorry for a creature that could not defend it self, but in the rules of war, a fair fight, is simply bad tactics. Needless to say, this demonstration did not surprise him after the first few. He just thought it looked routine at this point. Brutality was too... basic to describe it... It was simply well calculated.

As the Admiral let them be, he gave a proper salute as they did in the federation, before properly standing from where he was.
From there, he turned to address them as a collective; fitting based on where he is from, and what he represented. "As you know, I'm Tribunal Svent, and I plan to keep all of you safe as I can while going through hostile space, and through hell itself if need be. To that end, I extend you all my hand, but do not try to twist it, and all I ask is for your cooperation. I do not care for your politics, or your stances. I care about efficiency. Nothing less. So while we are together, we are a big family... We may fight, we may squabble... but save your strength for the battle; the mission." He had a slight lisp, simply just how his voice was. "All in agreement?" Keeping it simple was his goal.

Kathrine Vale:

Well that didn't really answer my question at all...

She didn't have time to voice that thought, however, as they were whisked away to another room, where she gave a friendly(as friendly as could be made through an armored helmet, anyway) nod and smile(though he wouldn't see it) to their medic, before being witness to a gruesome demonstration. Inside her helmet, her face paled as the Zebesians were thrown into a locked box with a killing machine.

She looked over at the Federation officer who was evidently coming with them, and slowly pulled off her helmet, revealing her horrified expression and bright red hair, "Is this what the Federation does with prisoners of war....?!"

Oh, Kat what have you gone and gotten yourself into...?

As the machine entered the room, she unconsciously stepped away from it.

Kaze listened as the admiral spoke, his arms folded across his broad chest. His lips shifted his cigar to the corner of his mouth and smoke trickled from his nose while he listened. "I'll need those logs and vids. Obviously not the originals, so I can study the X." He stated, of the group he had the most experience in combat and studying enemy movements and how they tended to work. Even the X would have a pattern of attack and the pattern would be more obvious the more intelligent it got.

A few other questions were answered, some a little to vaguely. Government, gotta hate it. But they were all shown out of the room and led elsewhere. Down a corridor and into an observation chamber he looked at the other member of the group. A felinoid, crafty lil buggers. He was their medic, despite the X a medic was always vital to any combative operation. The final member of the party was an android down in the combat area. Zebesians dropped down from the ceiling which earned a raised eyebrow from the behemoth.

The admiral smirked at him which garnered no physical reaction from the draconic being. "Don't try to be haughty, child." He stated as he watched Zen destroy the captured space pirates. The late comer wasn't to pleased by the treatment which made him put her in the greenhorn category. "My own people do this but not against an android. We make the fights even so you can attempt to earn your freedom." He explained as the girl stepped away from the android as it entered.

The feline introduced himself despite the admiral already stating his name. "A kitten after my own heart." He teased before getting a little more serious. "Focus on the others more than myself unless I'm at deaths door. I heal fast." Kaze said while he turned his attention towards Zen. "As for you...I'll be watching you very closely." He growled, he had no trust when it came to AI's. Motherbrain, her resurrection, and the knowledge that an AI went rogue to help Samus had lowered his already low thoughts of intelligent machinery.

At this point, Amber decided to stop herself from answering the Dragon's continued argumentation. She already had one outburst, it would be bad to make an outright enemy out of a teammate. Instead, the scientist focused on Garrett. So the outpost did have unknown data. Things were getting interesting.

Despite what she boldly claimed, the prospect of having to face the infamous Bounty Hunter in combat did not please Amber in the slightest. She heard the stories. Samus was highly skilled, deadly and outright dangerous. Somehow, she had the feeling that if things turned to worst neither her long range nor the two hulking allies she had would be enough to assure there would be no casualty...

...but what about three hulking allies?

After the group followed Garret and had met the Medic, Amber had the 'chance' to assist to the same demonstration as everyone else. Again, engineering was not her cup of tea, but even she knew that this display was impressive. If not outright scary. Although, she agreed with Vale...this should not be how anyone treated prisoners.

The idea of having an AI as deadly as this come with them was not reassuring. As the Admiral said, the X is not known to be able to assimilate anything non-organic...but was it a certainty?

''Despite my earlier outburst...'' she looked over at Kaze without any particular emotions ''...I can share my notes on the X with you once we are on the move.'' then looked back to the whole group ''...I think Cassius is right. No point in future argumentation between teammates.''
The words were different, but this was a 'Sorry'.

Amber eyes lingered on Zen for a moment, thinking up what to say or how to say it.
''Does...Zen also have a quarantine belt? I know he is non-organic, but we are talking about the X. If it evolved, somehow, or grew smart enough to infest other planets then we do not want to take the risk of it evolving to be able to take control of machinery.''

Kathrine Vale:

A brief shake of her head and a rare frown punctuated Kat's face as she reseated her helmet with a faint hiss.

"A few energy blasters does not make things even against that...thing!" She pointed at the thing in question.

She shook her head again and regained her composure slightly with a breath.

"Sorry, that just.... was not what I expected to see today," she spoke, not quite to Zen.

"I'm Kathrine Vale, by the way... not sure if we already did introductions earlier, like I said, they thought I wasn't going to show up..."

Upon making further note of their comments, it was nice to see them simmer a bit, but their reactions to the Artifice was noted; and rational to have... But first he took note of the awkward comment by Kaze -- Was he flirting with him? The Tribunal tried to hide his confused blush, but it would be improper not to respond, he took a moment before trying to hide his face with his hands, pretending to seem like he was pondering... This was awkward enough for him alone.

" Well... It does not mean I can't try to keep you shielded. The last thing I'd want is to see the Family contaminated because I wasn't careful enough to overstep just a bit, for the safety of another. And worse case scenario is they mimic someone like you... Granted, I don't intend to let you die, or take damage if I can do anything about it." It was at this point he tried to show a bit of his humor, mostly to return it in kind. "As for the... after your heart comment... I'm afraid I don't have the necessary tools for it." It was a harmless flirt... or joke? Cassius was new to this type of thing, but maybe the experienced ancient will understand this.

He turned to note Amber give her version of an apology... It was more mature than how she was acting earlier; but he could understand she was very passionate in her stances, but passion can cloud judgment, and when said judgment puts the body at odds, it begins to not work in a uniformed fashion, it acts out of place, as if it were at odds with itself -- this body being the unit they would become for the mission. To see her put the mission first, was admirable. Cassius gave a nod of respect, even if she may or may not notice it.

Making note of the fact she had information, Cassius was curious if he could cross examine what she had. Mostly to assess how the information she had may differ from what he was provided. "At risk of sounding rude, but perhaps we could exchange notes? Mostly to cross examine what we have, for I do not know if you may have more or less of what was provided to me. To understand the threat, it may be pertinent to see if we may have the same information, deviant information, or otherwise blanks that may be filled in from a different perspective, namely, the provided notes, to your notes."

He began to push a few buttons on his gauntlet to project the notes he had provided before their briefing. But seeing as Amber was with the Federation, she probably might have had more inside information that may have been omitted, or vise versa, either way, he felt it was sound that they had the exact same sets of information, even if it meant comparing repeated ground.

All while waiting for a response, his head turned to Vale. "Lady Vale, your fear is justified, and it is... something I wish I was less apathetic of. But it does not mean I find it any less unjust. But it is a pleasure to meet you in proper... And from the Office, we thought a lot more were going to show up to form separate smaller cells, at least this was speculation. Honestly, I'm grateful even anyone showed up. It would be scarier trying to deal with a Parasite threat that can assimilate by yourself... I can only imagine how... Ms. Aran felt as a survivor. Alas, her records were a bit... More classified than word of mouth. But, it is understandable seeing as I was just sent her from the collective." Cassius elaborated.

David knew full well of the destructive power of the X, Following behind his admiral once in a while glaring at the dragon like bounty hunter. He was going to keep a close eye on the bounty hunters because he did not trust them especially on such a important mission, Seeing the feline humanoid chuckling inside of his helmet. "Good to meet ya sorry i don't got some catnip for ya" He said in a joking manner, "But it's good to meet you kiddo" He added smiling underneath his helmet extending his hand to the feline.

Seeing the android in action he was not impressed in the slightest, Dave was seemingly unimpressed with fighting the captured space pirates. "Just be sure to do a better job with the real deal" He added looking away towards his admiral. "I know she will not go easily, And i don't plan on making it easy for her to come with us. She will pay for her crimes" He said with intense anger in his voice.

Kaze just shrugged at the feline beings words. "I have my own personal shield, but I guess you can try and keep it charged up?" He stated, not fully understanding what the cat-man wanted to do. A smirk came over his face when Cassius tried to return the joke. "True very few have the tools to get there. But efficiency helps it along." He replied, a teasing note to his multi-toned voice.

The behemoth looked at Amber and tilted his head when she spoke. A brief nod and he started to speak once more. "Best to share it with the whole team. Everyone needs to know what they're dealing with since the Federation likes to keep so many secrets." He said, letting it be hinted he knew some of said secrets. Either by doing work for the Feds or just by having a vast network of connections.

Rolling his shoulders a bit his tongue sucked in his cigar, which was crunched down on and swallowed. "Aside from information we need to decide who is going to be leading this little party of ours. As much fun as going in a million directions at once would be we kind of have to be a lot more efficient than normal thanks to how the X is getting around." Kaze stated. If the X had been confined to a single planet it'd be a different story. But it was spreading and that kind of gave them a bit of a clock to content with.

Vekt tapped on the visor of his helmet in the middle of the hired guns of the Galactic Federation. And a killer robot which would be traveling with them until they deal with the X spreading baddies and the legendary bounty hunter on the run. Things seemed bigger and worse than ever. There they stood, a handful of people with the fate of the universe(possibly) in their hands.
And now they needed to choose a leader. The Vergesian ran calculations in his head. The unique figures each had their pros and cons, he was sure, but he wasn't clearly aware of any yet. His instincts lead him into voting for the towering dragon, but the reasonable part of his head whispered to think at least twice more. After a moment of wondering he decided to make one tiny detail clear.
"...I'm not willing to take that role, if anyone's interested."
He said in a nearly whispering voice.

As stated, the cat-man didn't really care for their personal motivations. He was more-or-less focused on {A} the mission and {B} keeping them alive through it. He indicated thus in his introduction to the group, which would remind the group that they really hadn't been formally introduced or been designated any sort of leader. Admiral Garrett had made no real effort on that front, save for explaining Cassius' special support role and Zen's special assault role. That, and Major Claypool's status as the man needed to requisition an extra vehicle was all that was really said. He was...perhaps too singularly-focused on the problem at hand to make the team exactly mesh.

The android observed all things in silent calculation. It only focused on Kaze upon the dragon speaking to him.

"I will be watching all of you with equal scrutiny. My orders are to destroy any being with X Parasite infection. I have seen records of humans in the process of becoming the X. Without a cure, you do not want to live, at that point."

No malice intended. No actual threat involved. He had to eliminate anyone showing signs of being taken by the X, both to protect everyone else in the group and because all the information and capabilities of that person must not be handed over to the X, as well. Still, there was at least some obvious resentment towards his presence that he would have to ignore. The order was that he was part of this mission, and that was that. Even if subject Vale did not approve, it did not matter. As to the Zebesian pirates it had just executed, Zen calculated that apart from them being disposable according to the Admiral's temperment that even if their level of attack power was insufficient against him, overall, it was necessary for him to have live opponents instead of predictable drones to fully appreciate a real combat situation. Also, it would also seem prudent to do this in order to show the group that he was capable of undertaking this mission.

Speaking of which, there appeared to be some question as to his immunity. Zen turned to Amber after hearing her speak.

"Although the X have reportedly been able to receive data and energy from compliant recepticles, no record of any X - past or present - has indicated that they have any capability in consuming artificial components. Federation assets on board the BSL Station which were taken over by the X were partially organic, and therefore capable of being interacted with. This unit contains no such parts, thus is in no danger at this time. In the event of such a problem, the field component may be installed."

He turned his attention to all of them now.

"The Admiral has neglected to inform you that all ships leaving this base will have the quarantine field compenent installed and in operation, in case of a personal field failure or possible rescue of another being. My gunship can accommodate no one but myself, however, so you may not board it for any reason."

There were a number of reasons for this, but one of te most important ones were 'No life support'. He didn't need any, so none was installed. Now, there was also the question of who was in charge of this big shebang, as some might put it.

"Zen responds to rational decisions in accordance with the mission directives. While emotional outbursts are understood, they do not often help in the face of reality."

So, Zen's vote for leader was 'Whoever makes the most sense'.

"Preparations for departure are complete. We should leave the base and proceed to the objective target, unless any of you have an alternate destination you wish to speak on."

Huh... Can an android be anxious about stuff? He seemed rather...impatient to get going.

Amber maintained eyes contact with Zen for a few seconds after he addressed her, but not in a threatening way; she was only trying to sort out how she should perceive it after what he just said. For now, however, he was clearly on their side and she could only hope it would stay like this for the duration of this mission.

'Despite this whole thing, nice to meet you Ms. Vale.' Amber said in answer to Katherine introduction. Which was not a bad idea. 'I'm Amber Haus, Federation Special Forces.'

It was nice and everything to properly meet and exchanges greetings, information and what not after arguing for a good while on multiple subjects, but they needed to get going if they wanted to fulfill anything at all. The front of an observation room was not exactly the proper place for discussions either.

'I agree we have things to talk about before we enter any hostile environment, but is this the right place for this? It would be a lot more logical to discuss things while we are on the move as to not waste any time. On that subject, I'm guessing most of us - she briefly looked over at Zen - have things they need to gather and get ready before leaving. I suggest we do this now and regroup in exactly one hour at this base landing docks'

'I am guessing that most of you have your own ships and what not, but I strongly suggest that we use the same ship as to stray grouped and communicate better while on the move. The federation probably have one prepared for us. Otherwise, the Federation gave me my own private ship when I joined Spec. Forces. If you don't trust me, any ships would do just fine as long as you let me install my research center in it.'

'I hope we are all in agreement?' she said as she got out her data pad again and began typing on a few things and walkign towards the door. Right as she was about to disappear she added, louder; 'One Hour!' and headed to her personal quarters to gather all of the things she would need.

"My name is David and that is all you gotta know" He said feeling that he was prepared to leave, However he would need a few things from his quarters. Following behind Amber and when they were further away form the others he started to speak with her, "So what do you think of the situation? And the people we will be working with?" He asked his heavy footsteps echoing though the hallway.

While they walked to their quarters a few of the passing solider were making looking down at their feet, He knew why they did this because he was such a terrifying and looming figure. Not many people want to be around him and when they do they are weary of him, However he gets the job done so he is a valuable assist to the federation. Personally he did not trust any of them and thought they would be a hazard to the mission, Knowing himself he was going to get Samus, the cure and then he would gladly punish her personally afterwords. However he was going to be on his best behavior of course, He also wondered what her thoughts were of Samus and her whole relationship with the X and Metroid.

Kathrine Vale-

"A pleasure," she said with a smile that you could practically hear to Amber.

"Well, he's certainly charming," Kat remarked as the Marine exited.

She swept her gaze over the others, and shrugged, "Well, I've got my own ship, so I guess I'll start getting it ready to head out?"

It was nice to know Kaze was ironically the most respectful one at present, at least that was organic. Rather than cutting to a point, Amber rather Meander and wait to delay upon exchanging notes -- which would have been brief. For a woman who wants to be objective, she has a roundabout method of getting things done. This did not please Cassius in the slightest, not something he'd advertise, he simply watched the chatty woman talk, and leave... Typical. He was Not going to take orders from someone who couldn't even have the decency to get to the point.

The Catnip jape... Original -- almost as if a human -- oh wait... Of course, only a human could be so painfully unoriginal... But it mustered a smile from him, even if it was an awkward one. But as fast as he made himself known... He made himself scarce... He wasn't intimidating in the slightest. Too clunky, too brazen. Were Marines so painfully illefficent, or just boastful? Either way, he was the second largest target, only rival to Kaze... Rival is too strong a word... He shook his head in amusement.

Taking note of the meek voice from Earlier, particularly the one who mentioned leadership.
"Leadership isn't really what is needed, just a well composed plan. My general plan is to keep you alive to perform your task, and put down anything that becomes nuisance, which I have no doubt you will not be one of those. I only ask you be attentive, cautious, and relay important information, and we will be fine. But if I, a Legate must take action, it would not be the first. Granted, while I rather not be responsible for those not of my kin, I can humor that request... Only if that is what you all wish. If I had to voice concern... I fear their egos will conflict with objectivity, Ego; the root of many problems. I rather cut it out like the cancer it is. You can recover from it, it might be painful, and tiring. But one becomes stronger when they overcome it, even if through assistance." The Legate didn't much care for pride, just getting the job done.

This caused him to look to Zen. "Zen, I ask you send a full briefing on Samus' history to me, as well as documents of the X Parasites, The Metroids -- extinct or otherwise--, The Motherbrain, Space Pirates, and of course... the Events of the BSL station that crashed, as for what life we should expect on the SR387. However, SR388's data might prove useful if they believe fragments of it were jettison from the impact into the neighboring mass, we could easily identify what the X choose to replicate in efficiency in this manner. Is this request doable?" Cassius was going to take initiative if it meant gathering the important and relevant information, he held his gauntlet out for whatever Data Zed could transfer to it.

Finally, he looked to Kaze and Ms.Vale.
"If you have as ship, it might be pertinent to keep in close contact... however, if one of you has a rather large ship, it might be beneficial for me to ride with one of you, immediately nearby and all. However, if none of you could have me as a passenger, I'd understand. Granted, as a Tribunal, I do understand the need of privacy. And as such, would respect yours, as well as areas you'd not wish for me to be in, all you need is say where the lines are, and the ones I should never cross." he wasted no time saying he'd respect boundaries. And also wasted no time asked if he may join one of the two.

Kathrine Vale:

"I'd love to have you, but uh..." she ran a hand habitually over where the back of her head would be under the helmet, "My ship is kinda dinky. Fits me and some supplies really. Can land it almost anywhere though, so that's nice!"

She tilted her head as if giving an apologetic look, and shrugged once more.

"I'd be more than happy to tag along with others if that'd work better for people." She offered.
