Costumed Appearance: Pierrot dresses in a ruffled dress shirt and dark purple ringmaster coat to better conceal himself in the shadows. For pants he wears tight but still flexible pants and heeled lace up boots. His most noticeable features though, are his hat and his mask. His mask is that a pierrot and has no visible holes; instead his eyes are covered with black mesh, making it difficult, but not impossible to see. The mask also muffles his speech. His hat is a dark purple top hat with a lighter purple sash around the middle that matches a ribbon around his throat. As seen previously this hat can, and frequently is, used as a weapon. To top is all off he wears black leather gloves so that his fingerprints can’t be traced.
Civilian Appearance: Small and petite Carter Young is not a very imposing character. He is short and skinny and very underdeveloped for a boy his “age”. He has an olive skin tone from his Italian heritage and dazzling emerald green eyes that always have some kind of emotion in them. His hair is a chocolate brown that goes down to the bottom of his ears; however it is very unorganized and tends to be sticking up all over the place. What sets him apart from the crowd is the prominent round scar in the center of his forehead. Besides that he is also known for his outfit choices. Bright and sometimes even neon colored skinny jeans are paired with just as colorful converse shoes and some kind of strange graphic tee-shirt. He pairs all of this off with some kind of energetic bow tie that he wears like a choker collar. Don’t put him pass crossdressing if he can’t find pants the color he wants.
Icon: His icon is the mask he wears whenever fighting. You can see it here.
google.com/url?sa=i&source=images&cd=… Costumed Personality: Pretty much the same, though he tends to talk less as he knows that people find it hard to understand him through the mask.
Civilian Personality: Carter is an extremely flamboyant and eccentric being. He rants and raves about anything and everything; including things that may or may not only occur in his diseased imagination. He talks a bit too loudly most of the time and tends to be that person that skips down the halls. Sometimes that makes people think he is stupid or an airhead but that is far from true, beneath his blunt and odd behavior are secrets and discoveries only the slyest of people will uncover. His impressive and bombastic highs are only balanced by his semi-regular depressive episodes and bursts of anxiety; of course, he will never let you see this. He is never one to show weakness or any form of negative emotion. He is a being that never cries and whoever sees him cry… they are never seen again. At times he loses touch with reality and is known to forget the year, time and place for an extended amount of time (no longer than two days though) Making him irrational and at times delusional as he runs away from the draft board and looks for his older brother. He is hardly ever seen as serious unless you find him at the perfect moment or his past is brought up. When that occurs prepare yourself for some sage wisdom from an old man trapped in a teeny tiny body.
Super abilities: -Skills: Skilled detective, expert marksman, high intelligence, skilled gymnast.
-Powers: Immortality/resurrection. Carter, for reasons unknown, cannot die. He can be killed yes, but he always manages to come back to life. Depending on how severe or traumatic the death is will define how long it will take for Carter to resurrect. For instance bleeding out will take less time to come back from than being caught up in an explosion. One may take an hour while the other may take a week. During this time his body will not decompose in any way however he will not remember anything that happened or was said while he was dead.
Ageless: Ever since the first time Carter was killed and resurrected Carter has never physically aged nor has his mind deteriorated.
-Weapons: “A very dangerous top hat ™”- A top hat that when activated produces razor sharp blades around the rim; thrown like a boomerang this tophat always comes back.
“La Bombe”- Small hand held bombs that pack quite a punch. (Includes regular, tear gas, knockout gas, smoke, and dirty bombs (filled with nails).
“Le enfin”- a voice activated bomb that causes major destruction that is strapped to his chest.
Throwing knives - enough said
“le personnel” - A cane decorated with a little jester head on top. This weapon can extend into a bow staff along with functioning as a sniper rifle.
Civilian Occupation: none
Biography---------
Character History/Origin: Ever been an eccentric child in the 1930s? Carter has and it’s not fun. Born from an Italian and French immigrant along with his older brother Carter and his brother both showed remarkable intellect at a very young age; Shay showed his through science and mathematics while Carter’s showed in the arts and lesser known sciences such as psychology. His parents, extremely poor due to their immigrant status, saw their children's’ gifts and quickly began trying to get the attention of people of importance in their community; it took a while but eventually the two got the attentions of an elite private school right outside of Boston. However the school only wanted Carter’s older brother Shay. Carter, when interviewed, was deemed “too unstable and strange” for their school. So while his brother was away at an elite school Carter was forced to stay in public school. Something that while easy for the boy academically, was hard both socially and emotionally for the boy as his peers either bullied or ignored him for his eccentricities. The teachers were also known to get angry at the boy for questioning them.
His only friend in the world was his brother. Carter wrote to Shay frequently while the other was at school and when he came home for breaks Carter spent nearly all his time with him. Out of all the people he knew, even his parents, Carter felt like it was only ever his brother who truly accepted him.
As time went on Carter got older and before he knew it was his thirteenth birthday in 1941. Carter was walking home from school when he was suddenly pulled into an alleyway. He was held at gunpoint as two angry men demanded all of his possessions. The new teen opened his mouth, ready to scream to see if any Actor Activists would come to his aid, but it was too late. Carter died instantly from a gunshot wound to the head. His possessions were taken and his corpse left to rot and maybe found in the alley for three whole days.\
On the beginning of the fourth day though, something happened. Carter’s corpse began to twitch, shortly after it began to violently spasm before Carter’s eyes flung open and he gasped for breath. Scared and confused Carter looked around. What day was it? Why was he alive? He remembered the gunshot, he remember the quick and sharp pain of the bullet, he remembered when his breathing stopped, how was he alive?
He made his way home in a daze, entering his family’s small apartment much to the relief of his family. The relief soon turned to outrage though as they demanded where he was and how he got that nasty scar on his forehead. Knowing that he would finally be put away if he told the truth, Carter said that he had been attacked and simply knocked out, hitting a trash can on the way down. His parents didn’t ask any questions after that, taking the obvious lie at face value.
Carter tried to go back to normal but he couldn’t. A month after the incident Carter stole his father’s gun and shot himself in the head. This time he woke up less than an hour later without even a scar to show for it this time. It was time to let his brother know.
Once he told and proved to his brother what was happening (another bullet to the head) his brother began to test a willing Carter through a variety of experiments whenever he was home. It was concluded by the two that Carter could not die by any normal means and that the reasons, as of now were unknown.
Time went on and it was on his eighteenth birthday that he came to a second realization; he still looked the exact same as he did when he was thirteen. Luckily it was easy enough to hide at the time but as the years past and he still didn’t age while the rest of his family did he was forced into hiding from society; the last government record that concerned Carter Young was that he did not report to the recruiting office when drafted on multiple occasions throughout the 40s and 70s.
Time goes on, loved ones die, new loved ones are made, and then they die too. It’s an endless cycle that slowly turns Carter’s eccentricity into almost full blown insanity. Forced into the sidelines in fear of the government, Carter’s only wish is to live his life again or die trying. That is when 2019 hits. When metahumans come into the limelight and superheroes begin to take center stage once more Carter realizes that he doesn’t have to hide anymore. He can finally exist to the fullest.
For five years after 2019 Carter began training and building to become a vigilante. He learned how to build all his own gear and sewed his own costume. He took on the name Pierrot as he felt it fit his personality. A tearful clown that made others laugh.
Pierrot made his superhero debut in the summer of 2024 and has been fighting crime in the city of Boston ever since. (he does tend to die a lot though)
