The brutish Kazuhiko strikes a very distinct and often negative figure. Standing near enough to six foot even, and built bulkier than anybody his age ought to be, the youth is easily enough confused for somebody several years his senior when combined with his rough facial features and tendency to adopt a mean, intimidating expression. His skin is a touch darker than most, tanning easily in the hot sun that he, as a working class sort, is no stranger to exposure of. The thuggish lad buzzes his head, in part to uphold his image and in part because the maintenance of long hair is too much for him to be bothered with, and a handful of piercings fill his ears when he's allowed to engage in such frivolities, though he has enough sense not to wear such while on school grounds.
Quirk:
Kazuhiko possesses the transformation type Quirk Assimilation, granting him the ability to absorb matter he comes in contact with and incorporate it into his physiology. Touching a tree, for instance, allows him to morph his flesh into wood, increasing its overall strength without costing him his ability to function as normal. While a potent and versatile quirk, he is limited in his transformations to a single substance at a time, unable to mix multiple forms of matter at a time and forced to eject absorbed matter from his body before taking on another. He is also limited by the availability of the substance. If he wished to transform the whole of his body into stone, he would required enough stone to replace the entirety of his body mass, making it difficult for him to source more exotic materials. At the present, he seems to only be able to take on solid matter and maintain his shape, though he hopes to learn this limitation is a matter of experience once enrolled in a hero program.

• Given its reputation, why apply to Kokoro Academy?
  "I could blow smoke up your ass and make up some story about underdogs and hopes, but the fact of the matter is, I just don't have the grades to go anywhere else. Never was very good at book learning."
• Why do you want to be a professional hero?
  "I came up in a pretty rough part of town, the kind of place just under the radar enough for big heroes to avoid, and just poor enough for the police to avoid. Big, tough guy like me, I'm just fine in that kind of place. But not everybody is. Good, honest folks get eaten alive in places like that. I wanna be the type of guy that stops them from getting eaten up. Simple as that."
• What kind of professional hero do you want to become?
  "The kind that cracks skulls and brings home a healthy paycheck for it. What kinda question is that?"
• Best describe yourself in five sentences.
  "I'm a big, dumb hood who thinks he's got it in him to become a hero. A wise cracking, knuckle headed delinquent who doesn't know when to shut his trap when it's good for him. The type of guy people cross the street to avoid walking near on their way home from the store, y'know? Maybe they're right, I've not been the most upstanding citizen in the world, but I'm trying to turn things around. I'm a hard worker, transcripts be damned, who can put that stubborn streak to good use if you let me. I've got some problems with authority, I admit it, but don't uh... don't take that to mean I won't listen in class, alright? I really need this gig, I just don't like being bossed around."
• What are you interests and hobbies?
  "... Trading cards. I love 'em. Make fun of it if you want, but I've got binders full of the things. There's something about ripping open a new pack and flicking through to see if you got anything good. Addicting almost. Ma always said my pop was a gambler back in his heyday. Must've passed a little of that on to me."
• Are there any notable accomplishments you want to us to be aware of?
  "I won a t-shirt at a local dumpling shop for putting away 24 steamed buns in an hour. It didn't end up fitting me, what with me being freakish big and all... You uh, you wanted something more impressive? I'm sixteen and never been to any fancy hero-prep course, my guy. I don't have a whole lot going for me. Neither does this school, before you start rolling your eyes."
• Tell us something about your quirk that most might not know? Any events or memories, be it joyous or ill, tied to it?
  "When I was about six or seven, my folks took me down to a swim club during summer. The usual families do when they can't afford to get to the beach. I was havin' a real blast, splashing around and swimming and kicking about with the other kids... but y'know, when you're young like that, you don't have a lot of control over your Quirk. It just kicks on sometimes, no warning, and that's part of growing up. Well when your Quirk lets you turn into shit, that's problematic. It'd happened to me before, ended up ruining the old hardwood counters my ma was so proud of as a lad by sucking them up into my arms and spitting them out on accident. But that summer, my body decided it wanted to be water... I dunno if it says it on my papers there, but when I suck up non-solid stuff? I can't control my body. Not now and not then. It felt like I was melting away to nothing, arms and legs disappearing into numbness. Scared me to death. Thought I was gonna dissolve to nothing. I don't even remember how I got out, to this day, and I ain't been in a body of water since. Shit's scary, man, not having control."
• Why should we consider you over the other applicants? What can you offer that they cannot?
  "Because I'm probably different enough from all these overachieving, bright eyed, bushy tailed yuppies trying to make a name as the next All Might to pique your interest. Rough around the edges, maybe a bit too far on the underachieving side, but I'm bullheaded enough to make this work. I just need a shot at making a change. Hopefully you guys can provide it."
