None too sure what Orchid could do. Maybe have him flex those brain muscles and come up with some sort of battleplan? That would at least be within his interests.

Well now. It does seem like there is not much you fine people would be doing. So I'll just toss in the question via OOC: I suppose you will be departing for the camp once again in short order. The very next day, or perhaps the one after that when Leosin aims to leave for his own destination, where you are supposed to meet after the intelligence has been gathered? Or might there be further preparation that you need? If so, don't hesitate to poke me about it, IC or OOC. I just figure we should be moving on about now. We have spent long enough idling with no clear goal.

Speaking only for myself, I have no further business for my character in the town, @Hekazu. I would prefer that we not wait and simply do as asked of us and gain the information we need then figure out what the next step is. In short, I see no reason why we need further dally in the town again, when we could shuffle on to the next event.

I'm thinking of having Orchid go into the woods to recon. See how the cultist have reacted to the group taking Leosin out and such. Alternatively, if Orchid can do it within the span of a day, perhaps treat that drakehide he got and make it into a proper hide for his shield. Right now it's just crudely boiled and stretched, but more could be done to make it more robust.

Hmm. Frankly Orchid thinks it'd be better if he goes on his own, since Brannor's heavier armor won't really be useful for sneaking around. but Orchid won't stop him if Brannor still chooses to come along anyways, but he does request Brannor be at least twenty feet back when they're sneaking about so he doesn't blow Orchid's stealth.

@Lucius Cypher, Brannor has no issue staying back to keep watch, but certainly will not allow him to go alone. So long as he stays within general direction and sight. At worst case if the half orc is captured, at least someone else hidden and at a distance could slip away to report back or better yet, if only a small band of them exist, fend them off.

If possible I'd like for Parum to work with @Gordian Nought Torus to scout the cultist camp using his crow, while also figuring out what everyone can do and come up with combos and such. I honestly don't really know what everyone is capable of beyond a general idea of their class, so knowing their fighting styles, abilities, and so forth will be helpful to ensure our team can get one over the bad guys.

If there shouldn't be any problems in doing so, Parum recommends that the group tries to get close to the entrance without going through the camp. Since the entrance is a cave, there should be a mountain or cliff it's attached to, so the party should move around the camp, onto the mountains, and try to get above the entrance.

I'm hoping they could get somewhere around 60 feet or so before they try and attack. Additionally, Parum would try to make sure the group won't be easily seen by someone who might be watching the entrance itself, hence the silent image. I suppose one way she could save on spell slots is if someone can tether a 50 foot rope near the drop off point, and then after dealing with the guards we could just rappel down the rope and drop the rest of the 10 feet. I know we have rope, whether or not we'll have anything to secure the rope to will be a problem.

The guards are not outside of the cave, but inside of it just barely within the reach of light as it is. To draw them out would require a distraction. I'll have to check the height of the cliff once I arrive home @Ryonara.

Huh, that might be good then, we could rappel down just outside of the entrance and drop down onto the guards when they get out. As for a distraction, I'll have to figure something out.

The cliff is 150 feet high. Put three ropes together and that is traversable, though whether it'll be inconspicuous to anyone watching from the camp I can be less sure of.

Since the method of traversal may be important, I am postponing my post until a decision on the subject is made. I will flip a coin to resolve the matter if no conclusion has been drawn by tomorrow morning (~20hrs from now).
