@A Lowly Wretch
Yeah, sorry about that ^-^

In any case, it might be a bit before I post. I'm looking through the newest posts now to see if there's a point I can easily jump in.

okay! Wow that was a long one.

TL;DR, Iva scares the entirety of White Dawn, gives the Kadisht exactly what he wished for and has put himself as their current ruler.

@Leotamer
Iva sent a letter to Ferron since he wants to make a deal of some sort, and he seems like the best one for what he wants. Feel free to say he gets it at some point, if you want and we can get started on that.

@Lord Zee
And Iva is currently heading to Osairon as requested. How you wanna go about that?

I have been toiling this around in my head for a bit.

Dirka won't ever get a Spiral cord, unless it is forced on her.

The reason why is because I thought about real history and how magic has been seen in all eras. It quickly becomes the background, secretive, and hidden.

I have a big plan for magic.

Also, @A Lowly Wretch, I'm curious, do you plan on doing a massive time skip at some point other than the Spiral event ten days, to get into another era, or just let it roll out?

EDIT: purely just curiosity.

@ZAVAZggg

Possibly, 3rd or 4th time asking this, but why does everyone assume Gammaton is against chaos?

How do people define chaos anyways? Do people even understand entropy? Or chaos theory? The fact that you shake a can of assorted nuts (an act of chaos) causes the large nuts to rise to the top and the small nuts to sink to the bottom (sorting, AKA order) is part of entropy. The fact that oil and water separate is because of random, chaotic interactions. Life, one of the most intricately understood ordered systems happens because of entropy. ordered systems naturally come out of chaos, yet the universe as a whole tends towards greater disorder. Come back to me when you understand the 'arrow of time' concept and 'universal heat death'.

It's like being the God of the Domain of Law just paints a huge target on my back for edgelords or something. "Look at me, my god is MAD! My god is CHAOTIC! My god is UNPREDICTABLE! UHUHU! OwO" Why don't y'all take potshots at Hyperion or something? Come back to me when your god is so accepting of 'survival of the fittest' that they can accept, with no resentment, if someone completely steals away all of their power, because 'they deserved to have their power stolen because they were weak'. But of course not, because the only sociopaths who actually believe in true survival of the fittest are themselves powerful or hold power over others. We all consciously and subconsciously inherently create systems that advantage ourselves. Survival of the fittest is a belief system that immediately loses consistency and devotion once the believer finds himself in a place of weakness. Which means I already know such characters will be OP and poorly-written because that's the only way you can consistently hold onto such a belief, by always remaining powerful and without weakness.

(Sorry for the rant, this went off on a tangent about other things).

Considering how he despises Oao and Anu (Darkness and Devilry), then yeah he's much more of a person regarding order and peace. I mean, look at his bloody crusades to eradicate the darkness. The absolute mad man am I right? And how he also is absolutely livid with Anu for obvious reasons (And you'll see soon enough how it gets even worse maybe).

You choose the domain of law which every human associates with order, peace, and stability. I choose madness which people associate with complete unpredictability and chaos/anarchy. It's only natural that our gods would be against each other.

Btw you playing a god whose domain is law pretty much forces you to be against chaos. Chaos is a state of lawlessness. No systems, no rules, and no boundaries all of which your god is pretty much lord of.

And if it makes you feel better M'arash will be against everyone else as well. He seeks to drive everything mad. The reason? It has to do with the gate he's seen. He wants to open it and believes madness/total chaos is the key.

And we're in a fantasy rp which doesn't take place in the real world and therefore does not have to have beings whose philosophies and beliefs conform to our own, and quite frankly finite, worldviews.

What I'm saying is this.

Stop taking this crap (no offense intended to the GM) so seriously. It won't effect your life after all. This is just a game.

That's all it is.

As for that last bit, you did go off on a tangent but that's okay. As for entropy, explain to me how matter, which cannot be created or destroyed according to science mind you, could come from a giant explosion billions of years ago.

Keep in mind that before the Big Bang there was absolute nothingness.

No matter.

So where did it come from?

And if you say it just "happened" or "appeared" (of which you have no scientific evidence by the way) then the Big Bang isn't science.

It's religion.

Think about it. Religious people believe in things that can't be proven right? Well how is the Big Bang theory, which states that everything came from nothing for no reason at all, any different to the idea that in the beginning God created everything? And how do you even know that's how it happened? You weren't there.

Given all of this I'd say the Big Bang theory is more reliant on blind faith than actual religion.

Just food for thought that has nothing to do with this.

The current working theory for how the Big Bang happened was that our universe is a 'zero point' universe. As in, the total amount of energy and matter in our universe is 'zero'.

In order to break apart a particle, you need to 'spend' energy. Atomic physics give the illusion that energy is gained through this method, but that's only because the process we use causes a small amount of the mass to be converted to energy during the transition. The fact that you need to 'spend' energy to break matter apart indicates that the atomic force is a 'negative' energy. If you combine the atomic force with outside energy, you get zero energy.

Similarly, matter and anti-matter cancel each other out. They are a sum 'zero'. A 'holding pattern' for energy that collapses if they come into contact with each other.

I don't mean to start a religious debate or whatnot, but physics is fascinating.

No worries. And I did go off on a rant as well. But my point on chaos and law/order still stands.

Law = order, stability, civilization, etc.

Chaos/Madness = disorder, instability, lawlessness, the eventual collapse of civilization, etc.

Why wouldn't Gammaton, who seems like a god that wants to unite the other gods judging from your posts, be against a god that would, by it's very nature, bring madness and division?

Aren't most gods sociopaths though, or at least show some signs of those personality traits? I'd say Anu is a sociopath, but then again, can you even describe a being as a God, as a sociopath? That's a human definition, trying to describe something more. Though we writers are human, so maybe that's how we justify such things? Does that make sense? Most of the gods in this setting are greedy and selfish honestly.

Law promotes order, does it not? Certain gods don't like the notion of order. And that is why I believe Gammation thinks everyone is against him. It's not a personal thing whatsoever, it's just how certain gods perceive things.

I could see how some laws could promote chaos however, but in the end all Law has punishments for being broken. Where Gammation might not be against chaos per say, other's might not see it that way.

In the end, let's be civil folks and not attack each other alright?
