Rated M: For violence, language, some adult themes - please fade to black this RP is not an erotica so keep that stuff limited, drug use, and otherwise other offensive or triggering themes

They say what would wrought human destruction was humans themselves. They said if anything humans would eat themselves alive and destroy each other. When the Monoliths began to emerge from Abyss, did they still think that?

Humans had their doctrines, their theological theories. They had their evocations and rites. They had their wars based on their faiths. So when the Deamis rose, did it quell the faithful? When it was clear rapture did not come from a God, but demonic Kings. Did they lose faith?

Discord Discussion

The end of humanity reign was nearly two hundred years ago. The few survivors became enslaved to the Deamis, who came from the Abyss to rule the surface tired of being sealed by the Gods magic, the ten demon kings gathered their powers together to free themselves from their prison. The surface plane of Earth became a war of powers that humans couldn’t compete with and the Gods eventually fell. While the Deamis rose and so did their Monoliths.

Earth was now the home to the entropic darkness of the Abyss, the sun turning red, the sky brown and dusty. There would be no savior for the humans who tried to rebel and survive, and for two hundred years the world would become darken.

The Gods weakened, though not entirely annihilated thus came up with a plan. The final end. Earth would not need saviors, but the ones who would end all life. Certain children born were corrupted by these Gods with the powers of the Abyss and bestowing them the remnants of the Gods power inside of them. Their mission someday would be to destroy the world.

You are an orphan. When you were a child you were taken from your parents. Raised instead by other children in a similar circumstance, you lived for twenty years underground being taught how to harness your powers. Detached from Earth and the beings living the Gods who bestowed you the powers of both the Abyss and their last remaining powers. You and the other eighth grew up with each other’s only influence and that someday you will be released on the surface to annihilate it.

You and the othes are traveling the world tracking down the Deamis Kings who have made these regions their Home. This RP is Not about practicality, you will be fighting demon armies, and their Prime Generals with little to no self restraint. This RP is inspired by like the likes of NMH, Bayonetta, DMC, it’s meant to be a brawling romp. Shenanigans, with an emphasis on creativity when it comes to handling situations, and a focus of humor and unapologetic violence.

While I state this RP has no self restraint, limitations and restrictions are still in place. This RP will have a Day and Night feature. Each of my post as a GM will state the time of day and depending on that time of day, you have access to your God abilities and Abyss abilities. All your abilities can be upgraded as well in this RP via the Deamis Medallions. Essentially this RP is based on Chapters, more like a DnD session. Playing through the Chapter nets you rewards. These are rewards that upgrade your weapons, abilities and powers. Through Deamis Medallions. How you earn these Medallions is through kills, but also through participation. Good communication nets Medallions, creative writing and creative ways of dealing with a situation nets you Medallions.

I may also offer to players Legendary weapons based on the Gods or Deamis domain you inhabit.

How Domains are handled and how they affect your magic;

Deamis come from the Abyss, the Abyss elements are disease, dark, corruption, control, and force. What you do with the interpretation of these is up to you in creating your character. Disease could be interpreted as poison, but also disease. Corruption could be erosion or invoking illusions. Control can be mind control, but maybe you can take command over some Deamis.

Gods are Cosmic, their domain elements are - elemental, fire, earth, air, wind, etc. Light. Healing. Essentially Cosmic powers will be more varied than the Deamis domains because of the nature of both. This also keeps things more easy to follow and simplified.

*Further question just ask me - as I was trying to be deliberately loose with the interpretations

Name here

Age: most will be 20, if you contact me and make a good case why you want them to be younger or older then I’ll change it

Appearance: [Picture and description. Please keep in the realm of a visual CG style like DMC or Bayonetta.]

Personality:

For the love that is holy, flesh your characters out like they are living beings. A personality is not just who they are in the IC. They will evolve from this section in the IC. It’s who influenced them, in this case the other orphans, how did it affect them, why do they react in this way.

Remember, who, why, what, and how

If your trait is Fearless

How are they fearless?

He is fearless because he runs into battle without thinking, he has no sense of his own life and believes himself invincible.

Why is he fearless?

Being the younger “older” kid of the group he wanted the other seven to admire him and thus if he wasn’t afraid of anything then perhaps they would see him as a role model. He has a competition with [so and so]

Look how easy that is; Fearless to the point he’ll put his own life in danger in order for the others to admire him. He stemmed this from the fact he was the younger, but older in maturity than the other kids after [so and so] sole attention away from him stemming from his own envy.

God: This is the God you fall under that blessed you. You are entirely in control of who they are, what their domain is under, why they chose you, and what their lore is. Remember I am emphasizing creativity here. This is one of the ways I am gauging that.

Deamis: This is the Deamis you have been corrupted with. Again you are entirely in control of making up this Deamis. What their domain is. Their lore. And these Deamis will be the base of the 10 Kings.

Abilities:

How abilities work;

[Insert Ability Name Here] - [Place a 0 - 8 here for an upgrade] - [Element and God or Deamis] so it should look like this

Scarlet Blast - 0 - Dark Deamis [the 0 emphasizes you have no Upgrades and your ability will be at its standard base power. Any additional upgrades will add 5 to your base]

Abilities will need;

-Range
-Detail - if you have super strength you have to tell me at what limit. Is it you can stop a moving truck or lift the equivaleRelationships:

This is the part that allows me to gauge whether or not you are actually engaging with the members of this RP. This RP lives or dies with the efforts of the members. I can write amazing set pieces, but that’s not going to do much good without members.

In this section you will write

[Insert name] - [your standing with them]
[and a brief description of your relationship with them]

That looks like

Meredith - Good Standing
Meredith the only one of the group that truly understood Scarlet. The two have seen playing and training together the most. It was when Meredith took a hit for Scarlet that cemented their friendship.

If you have regenerative abilities, at what rate, at what limit. Be specific. No vague “she turns invisible” okay great that tells me so much and allows me to write challenges in this RP.
-Weaknesses - all abilities have weaknesses

2 God Powers, 1 Deamis Power for now.

No reviving from the dead abilities and instant healing, thank you

The Mystic Shield

Age: 25 - older just means being everyone’s babysitter and they don’t ever appreciate it.

“The fuck you staring at, haven’t seen the horsemen of the apocalypse stroll into town before?”

“Mainly was just staring at you”

“Ah yes because I am entirely more strange than everyone else I am walking with,”

“You’re the only one who looks like a zombie,”

“We all can’t have your grace and charm,”

He lightly taps your cheek with a pale, cold hand. He looks like snow, he’s cadaver white and doesn’t seem to find anything strange about that? Sure he’s walking alongside a woman whose body is covered entirely in illustrations, you have to look away as you realize her fronts are entirely visible. You feel your heart slightly jolt and your cheeks go red hot. He walks slightly slouched over, which one makes him quite shorter than everybody else in the group and also much shorter than his actual age. It gives you the impression of gliding fabric. His barefeet are so soft and quiet you barely register they are walking on broken tarmac and the scattered remains of society. Sometimes he stands up straight, but that really doesn’t change the impression of the man much.

“Actually I am more interested in who the hell you are,” you try to catch up with their pace, “and are you staying long?”

“We? Are the coming rapture, whatever that means is up for our interpretation,” he shrugs, “as for staying long? Why would we do that? To have a chat and sip hot chocolate from M.R.Es with you? And your slave caste?”

“You’re kind of an asshole,”

“I am kind of a lot of things, but I wasn’t the one who greeted you with judgment about your appearance in fact I complimented an otherwise average build, please continue I am sure my patrons want to hear more,”

His voice is dry and hoarse, it has a rather low cadence that gives the impression of someone more than meets the eye. In fact to you it sounds more intimidating like a threat of violence without the actual threat of violence. He speaks slow, with a slight slur, you wonder if that has to do with anything about the tiredness of his look. Bags under his eyes, vaguely covered up by a thin line of eyeliner. You wonder who put it there? His nails are black and he himself looks slightly anemic. You aren’t sure if that’s the albinism or if there is something wrong with him. His lips are black as well, the hell is this freak. Most of the rest look well somewhat normal.

His irises are interesting as well. Both of them are golden, but one of them the white of his eye is darkening, turning black. There’s a mix of red in one of his golden irises and black veins are beginning to form underneath the surface of his skin.

“Look, we got off on the wrong foot, maybe we can get you guy’s some help,” you put your hands on the 5’4” - 5’5”, 162cm-165cm, man. He looks at you like you’re a virus and seems entirely disgusted you placed your hands on him.

“You want to lose that hand?”

“No”

“I best suggest you put it back at your side then,”

Lifting your hands, jesus christ all you did was touch him. Don’t touch the zombie, noted.

Personality:

“They foolishly assumed that by plugging us away from the world that we’d have nothing to care about. While I see the end of the world and think that is a crumbling nothing. I also think it be too foolish of me not to admit that I don’t want to see any of these children dead. So, what do we do? When will the divide occur and when will one of them run away from my grasp where I can no longer watch them? Where a younger brother or sister, clashes with what I’d say that I am the equivalent of an older brother. I am not just worried about their death, I am worried about losing these children’s focus,”

To the outsider Nyx is likely described as that crazed mage. The expression he gives isn’t too far off from that, but that could be his intimidation factor working against him in this case. Those that know him, know him as a mature older brother figure who can often be grouchy, and verbally aggressive. He never results to physical violence unless there is a reason to burst into altercation. To call him unstable is an insult to the work he inhabits and his role within the group of hybrid orphans. In truth, stressed might likely be the word. One of the very few of the older, as one of the eldest, he takes pride in taking care of the children and protecting them. In his eyes even if the younger are in his age range, he’ll always see them as the ones’ he needs to protect.

Which might put him at odds with the Gods considering their plan. Nyx is a brutish protector, while he’s skinny, and even deals with old injuries, he’s not always the nurturing type of affectionate person. He’s the type to care by pouring a bottle of whiskey on an injury and telling you to quit bitching as someone is going to patch you up. While many who don’t understand the dynamic of the Gods Orphans would see this treatment as abusive, Nyx to some of the orphans view him as tough, a strong fighting spirit, who encourages others to toughen and strengthen alongside him.

Their world and environment is a harsh one and Nyx has had to adopt a harsh nurturing style to suit the world and suit the fate that has been woven to into them. The one they are drawn to, due to the nature of their corrupted blood. This is not, and never has been a world where you could coddle and shelter those around you, but the Orphans always knew and will continue to know Nyx cares. He’d never breakdown into tears or come hugging you telling you how much he is proud or how much he cares, you simply know by the actions he takes.

Some likely consider Nyx a sailor mouth, he has a habit of cursing the most finding a way to insert some kind of language. He has a very dry and very, very dark wit. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if Nyx is joking about the acts of violence that he will inflict on others. While he’d never express it to the others verbally, Nyx is very stressed about the current future for the others. If he has to be the voice of reason someday, than so be it. That worries him, that one day one of the orphans likely will disagree, they will see the sweet sweet temptation of their fate or their destiny and turn their back on the others. Nyx prepares for that day, loving the others, but cautiously paranoid about their situation in this current destiny.

While Nyx might not be as unstable as he appears, Nyx is not only verbally aggressive, he is known for physical violence. Though with none of the orphans. He’s not the type to spare a Deamis or really any threat. He has no loyalty to mercy or a second chance. Unfortunately you cannot spare someone that kind of humanity in this kind of the world. A person or really a Deamis you spare, is the likelihood of betrayal in the future. It is a harsh reality Nyx understands very well. He’s a survivalist, and puts the survival of the others above all else.

The only time Nyx might not seem “like himself” usually is when he wakes up. Well better put when he is abruptly awoken. Due to Nyx’s power nature and the dominion that dwells in him, Nyx spends most of the day sleeping. Which has earned him another nickname “Creepy Cat”, but it’s best not to call Nyx that, he’d probably not find that as funny. It’s best if you have to wake Nyx up during the day to do it cautiously and at a distance. Really that’s at your own risk. Goodluck.

With that said Nyx is often well balanced. He’s not so aggressive that he is hard to approach, but when violence is pulled out of him he will meet expectations with brutality. He’s already planned in his mind on what to do to defy fate, and hopes to have earned enough respect from the others to make that a possibility. Though heartbreaking he’s also prepared himself if that time comes where he must face a brother or sister.

God:

Before there was the night, there was the Sun. How the Sun was born, some say the Sun God Ehnoun froze a meteor in the sky before it could wipe all life, some say it was the first fires of the earth that had expelled out in which Ehnoun contained. Whatever the truth might be the first fires were Mui’s egg, where she slept and learned of the world. When she was ready to emerge she plunged the world into darkness when she hatched. The world grew cold, and this brought death to the world. Mui upon instinct, or memory of the first fires, stitched the two halves of her shell back together. It burned with the lingering heat of the first fire and brought the first night to the world. Mui was considered the world’s first mystery to the world.

Upon her birth, she made a still world turn with time. She brought death to the world. She brought motion to the waves. And her beautiful body blended into the sky and all that could be seen by an observer was twinkling of light, stars we call them, though some have always called them Mui’s scales. Some welcomed her with open arms, and others cursed her name for she didn’t shine as brightly as the morning sun. In fact some would goes as far to say she was evil if they did not understand the unknown.

She brought uncertainty to the world, and fear of the unknown. She awakened the night creatures that preyed upon the mortal flesh. But there were some who blessed Mui as well. While she was a sign of death, despair, the unknown, parallel, and fear. She was also a sign of healing, she was a sign of the changing seasons, and the sign of time. She brought movement to a still world. A world grew under embrace.
She was a Deity who was worshipped by Sages of the past. It is said that Dragon’s blood was used as ink to craft spells. Mui and Ehnoun being Gods worshipped by the dragons, both with equally mystical powers. Mortal humans harnessed this power and energy into mysticism and magic. For many years, humans hid in the dark, using the power of the moon to draw in their crystals, to perform rituals of magic, to bless their holy waters. And under the guidance of Mui they were safe, obscure even to those that feared their mysticism.

Many years later when the world became cold and mechanical, with it’s machineries and technology, many of the Sages who followed her had perished. Under the fear mongering zealots who called the pagan worship the work of evil. They were slaughtered, a long history of witch hunts and sage killing. But it wasn’t just the sages and the witches that were killed, so were the dragons, and anything remotely intertwined in the world of the unknown, the mysterious and the powerful.

Magic was regulated in this mechanical world, this more mature, developed world of skyscrapers, as merely entertainment and a figment of imagination. Meanwhile, a secret and underground organization kept the tradition alive. An old order as old as the Masons and the like still existed. Many of its people were descendants of those that fled persecution. Orbius Nytis Order regulated their practices safely underground, a secret society whose descendants fled from the witch hunts to survive, who rejected the modern world and kept to themselves.
It is The Orbius Nytis who prepared themselves for the Deamis invasion. They promised to aid Mui in whatever way they could. This meant a member would give up their child to be infused by Deamis and bestowed Mui’s presence.

That woman would be Moira Enright. Who performed the ritual to bind these powers within her newborn and the one who would give up that very same child not to soon after to live away from the world not unlike the Orbius Nytis had for all this time.

Deamis:

Lexis connection on first glance to the Gods and Mui might seem distant at best, but it was inevitable wouldn’t it? Where there is information to hide, there is always one to uncover it. Lexis is not connected to the Gods like a mirror reflection, he is connected by their direct actions as a consequence. No one's truly sure how Lexis came to exist. How he was born, or exactly his origins and even he isn’t sure himself. He describes it as “stepping into existence”. And when he emerged from the Celestial Void, he had a hunger and appetite to uncovering secrets. Especially the secrets those would like others not to know.

Who you talk to is the interpretation of Lexis. As his name is tied and associated with terrible things in Mortals history. To the Mystics his name is in association with the witch hunts and murdering of those that knew magic. His name is in association with the genocide of the draconic race. His name is in association with the creation of weapons of mass destruction. To the victims of horror that others wrought with the knowledge he bestowed onto their assailants, he is associated as an evil entity, a dark entity. Though he denies such associations because knowledge is objective.

To those who used the knowledge he gave to destroy and harm others, they use his name in honor. They see him as a savior. A someone who helped them fight something they were afraid would take them over. They use his name and plaster it up like he is a hero.

And some Mortals form no opinions of Lexis, merely because they are his thralls. Mortals whose mind warped into madness when they couldn’t handle the knowledge Lexis told. These Husk of Sin maintain Lexis’ sinful library as librarians cataloging and logging every piece of forbidden knowledge. Few Mortals have stepped into the Void Athenaeum. Many rarely see the true horror Lexis is and instead many Mortals meet him as a trustworthy and charming man.

Judge and question his actions as you may, he views himself as an amoral being that has to exist because all knowledge is objective, it doesn't take sides and even if he aided the Deamis in the knowledge of beating Khthon's barrier, that doesn't mean he ever took on a side on the matter. Though freedom to do as he always has done is always a bonus.

Weapon:

Threadbearer

Is that a pair of dagger sized scissors? Why yes it is. The Threadbearer is a unique weapon that has many unique features beside also being entirely a brutal method for stabbing and cutting. The sharp edge could be thrusted into an enemy’s abdomen eviscerating them. The scissors could be spread open and used to dismember a arm or leg. It can also be used very crudely as a giant ninja star. And while all these methods are beautiful, glory and delicious in every sense of the word. But the Threadbearer has its own unique properties ready to be born.

Lvl 1. Soulcutter -

The Threabearer is connected to its victim by their blood, and connected to its user through battle. What the Threadbearer reveals to the user of this weapon is the soul of the individual it cuts. Not the whole soul, pieces of it as it eeks out, like water slipping from a tiny hole. This slipping, allows the user to cut their victim not just through flesh, but spiritually. With adverse effects depending on what the user cuts.

Abilities:

Lunar Being Physiology -

Lunar physiology the Moon is the cosmic sign that Nyx was born under. The Moon itself is a healing energy and gives Nyx a passive boon, a slow way to recover injuries. This recovery is not instantaneous. It is slow and dependent on the severity of the injury. Small things like paper cuts recover faster over a significantly smaller course of days. While his spinal injury took at least 9 months to recovery fully and he still suffers from consequences. He still can suffer nerve damage, or he still suffers back pain, back spasms, and nerve pain in his back for example.

It should be noted that because he is a night sign, one of the reasons he sleeps the majority of the day and feels alert and awake during the evening.

Also unlike the other orphans Nyx isn't given direct abilities. Instead his Lunar Physiology allows him to tap into the ancient art of Mysticism. Allowing him to use magic in a form of a spellbook, read, and understand magic in the world and tap into the power of ancient scrolls.

Deamis:

Evil Eye

Lexis might argue that this trait of Nyx has nothing to directly with his lineage, in fact it is a consequence of his lineage not the other way around. This ability begins with a tale known as The Cursed Vision of Edmond Mortes. After all without the actions of Edmond Mortes the Evil Eye wouldn’t have been born. You could say the Evil Eye was born from Mui and her wrath over the actions of Lexis.

It began with Edmond and his defilement of a shrine of Mui, stories to get added on some say he was drunk and pissed on Mui’s statue, others say he stole money from her offerings, and others say he inappropriately tried to touch one of her followers. Which story is true, Mui found offense to Edmond’s actions and cursed him to be unable to see or have the benefits of Magic. Suddenly a world of illusions, text only seen by Sages were all completely taken from Edmond.

He was still a man with an uncanny six sense, and while this world remain invisible to him as it does ordinary Mortal folk he always couldn’t shake the feeling there was more. It was years, years later after being blinded from the world that Mui took from him, he met a scholarly man named Lexis. A mortal man who seemed to just know enough that made Edmond intrigued by him.

The man built curiosity in Edmond, their conversations reminded him of something missing though not sure exactly what. Eventually it came to fruition of what he was missing, Lexis being a man he knew had the knowledge of many things. Sought him out to find a way to break free of his curse, not willing to admit or offer penance to Mui herself.

That is when Agatama was brought to the Mortal World. That being a parasite that attaches to the eye of an individual, stealing the orbital surface for itself and reveals an invisible world to those with dulled enchanted senses.

In the stories it is said the Agatama was seized from Edmond and was killed. This version of the Agatama’s powers is not one to give sight to the user who doesn’t have it, but to aid the user in their forever hunt to end the Deamis Kings. In fact this version of the Evil Eye is more directly connected to the Moon and its phases. It was said to be given from a dark moon ritual, one that isn’t often performed for it’s controversial components and techniques, but this synthetic form of that power grants Nyx Mystic Sight.

The Evil Eye’s Mystic Sight;

New Moon - Evil eye is not visible, both eyes are visibly with a white of the eye and his irises match. There are no benefits at this stage. Though black veins are always visible underneath the skin, these are signs of ritual implantation of the eye like surgery scars.

First Quarter - Left eye begins to blacken and his usual golden irises is beginning to turn crimson. Has the ability to see magical auras in this state and see through invisible walls.

Waxing Gibbous - Left eye is almost completely transformed. Has the ability to see magical auras, see through invisible walls, illusions, and see magical impressions left - like runes and symbols.

Full Moon - Mystic Sight

Left eye is completely transformed and while it has all the powers of it’s previous states it is fully awakened in this state. Giving Nyx his last ability Mystic Sight.

When Nyx locks gaze with a Deamis or Mortal for 30 seconds, his eye marks them. If that target flees, he will be able to see where they are going through his evil eye.. Essentially he can see through their eyes, where they are walking in given direction to his.

Waning Gibbous - See waxing gibbous, eye is beginning to revert back to its original state, all given benefits of waxing.

Last Quarter - See first quarter, eye is beginning to further regress to its normal state. All benefits of first quarter.

Waning Crescent - Eye is normal. No benefits.

But some people also call me:

21

As cliche as it sounds, one of us has to be smart enough to start writing this fucking shit down. Stuff is about to get crazy around here, some of us have been tasked to take out the Deamis kings. Been having crazy dreams about killing the last Deamis king and the end times rapture the fuck out of the planet. Shit honestly scares the crap out of me, but what am I supposed to do? Like, how can I change a destiny chosen for me by some God who couldn’t even fucking rapture the world properly themselves? Honestly, I am scared out of my mind, but what’s a girl going to do?

So I guess we’ll start off with the obvious stuff. Who am I? Well I just wrote that down right above this paragraph. I’m twenty-one, and I guess I am a woman. I mean that just about covers it right? Supposed I could mention the sick tats, guess I feel weird about describing myself. Shit hold on.

Nyx: If she didn't have breast, she's pass off a youthful boy. Taller than me too.
^What the fuck Nyx? My face doesn't look that androgynous does it? Short hair is more practical. I don't look like a adolescent boy, do I?

Agria: I-It's nice to have another female to hang around with. You definitely look pretty and your tattoos are insanely nice to look at. That probably took tons of work to get all those tattoos perfect.
^At least someone knows how to compliment a girl. Are all the boys around so blue balled they cannot treat their sisters right?

Victoria: She hardly ever puts on clothes. Those tattoos of hers are not enough to keep her modest. Come on, she leaves nothing up to the imagination. How am I supposed to compete with that?
^Oh come on!? You're supposed to be on my side. You try to summon a demon from your skin with clothes on. I'll tell you it will try to eat your fucking face off if you do.

Clayton: Well, her girl bits are nice to look at. Pretty sure going around naked for a fight is a dumb idea, though. I mean, I could do it easy, 'cause of my powers, but... oh, the tats are pretty cool, too.
^Pretty sure getting eaten by a demon twice our fucking size is a dumb idea too. But hey ya know what lemme lock you up in a small room with an 8ft demon face and see how well you do. If you haven't caught the fucking metaphor, room = clothes, demon face = the one on my fucking back. And what's with the men degrading me to ass and tits, just cause I am naked doesn't mean it's fucking for you. Pisshead.

Haef: Ino you are much... you are as much of a piece of art as the tattoos across your body, a peerless and dark beauty, though, I wish you would smile a bit more, like Agria. Your's is a form others appreciate, I would say, I am envious to a point.
Not sure how I feel being compared to Agria who has fucking purple hair and literally twinkles at the fingertips. Wonder if her piss is fluorescent as well and if too smiles oh so fucking gracefully. But thanks about the compliments about the tats, appreciate it. At least some people know good art.

Simon: Don't worry 'bout it I find you beautiful in your completely average way. So what if you can't turn into a frozen chick with titsicles? Or naturally have purple hair, stuck with that muddy brown of yours. You are beautiful no matter what the freaks say.
^-reaches over and starts choking Simon
*cough*He..he....lp...she's*cough*.....trying to kill meeee....*cough*
^Fucking deserved it, shit face

Personality:

Moving on. Don’t listen to those shitcakes. I’ll do this part myself.

I have a fiery personality.

Self critical inner voice; you mean to say that you can abrasive to the point that you push others away. Oh come on, even I can’t catch a break from myself. Self critical inner voice; you mean that you’re a perfectionist and all that confidence of yourself is a show because the truth is you’re scared and not sure if you’re doing the right thing.
Fuck I know me better than I thought.

Well, I can’t criticize this, I am creative and artistic. I did my first set of tattoos by myself, and I spit mad rhymes.
Self critical voice; but that makes you look like a loony no one can hear the music in your head so you just dance around naked or half naked.
Just because I am a liberated woman doesn’t mean you get to sour on the fact I actually enjoy my body.

Self critical inner voice: Truth is you have a tendency towards promiscuous behavior, but since we’re surrounded by family you can’t act upon it so you have dreamt up some fantasy life for yourself, with some cute boyfriend, living on some stage. You don’t even fucking know what a stage looks like beside that creaky, rusty bed you call a stage.
You know what self critical inner voice you’re being kind of a fucking killjoy right now. I have one thing you can’t criticize. The fact that I overthink everything and am critical of my actions. Ha. Shut you down.
Self critical inner voice: Mood af.

Since none of the others are reading this, truth is I wish sometimes I had some of their strength. I keep going back to this thought of being this scared little girl, and even though I’m all grown up, or I at least feel taller than when I was a little girl looking at the skies, with these powers the external powers don’t reflect my inner power. I feel brittle made of glass. I feel like I am going to break and I worry about messing up or failing.

I don’t even know if what we’re doing is the right thing or the wrong thing. I am supposed to serve a fucking God that I don’t even think really cares about me. I don’t think any of the gods care about us, I think they just see us as a means to an end and I don’t want to be a means to an end. Is it wrong I want some kind of meaning in my life? Some meaning behind a weapon with a beating heart. Is it wrong I want to be more than just a killer?

Do you think my parents miss us? Do you think this is ever what they wanted for us?

Listen to me getting all philosophical and emotional. Just ignore this part, I am just being stupid. Me a Killer? The Deamis brought the end times and we’re supposed to stick something between their eyes, something sharp and pointy. But then there is the horrible dreams of the rapture, the end time, everyone dying and that makes me scared. Am I on a suicide mission?

Oh come the fuck off it. Our Gods wouldn’t actually let us die, would they?

Nero Dimerous

Age: 20

Appearance:

Nero is a leanly built man standing at 5’9 and weighing a decent 180lbs. Nero will often be seen with a stupid smirk on his face, his lips being outlined by short well trimmed beard that leads into equally clean sideburns. His short brown is always well gelled into a spiked style in an attempt to draw attention away from his massive forehead. Nero’s eyes are a pretty emerald green colour.

Personality:

Nero’s an ass plain and simple. He almost never misses a chance to make snide remarks or insult those around him. He does it just so nobody gets close to him, he knows what him and his siblings are meant to do and doesn’t want to form any attachments that might lead to sadness, killing the world is dangerous work.

Despite his abrasive exterior he is a dependable person, always being where you need him when you need him, whether you want him there is another question. He’s that guy you can depend on but don’t actually want to. He always tells himself to not form attachments and that he’s protecting everyone so that they don’t have to mourn each other.

Even deeper down Nero is a bit of a softie. He hides that he cares again so that the others don’t get too close to him, sure they had fun as kids but now was when things were going to change and Nero changed in preparation. At least he tells himself that he changed, but deep down he’s still the little brother who keeps very an eye out on his siblings.

God:

Deamis:
Yaatra is the charlatan Deamis king of deceit. Yaatra weaves lies and puts on disguise in order to get what he wants, and for the most part that’s the eyes of mortal men. Though he has his fun first, killing and replacing their dogs, slowly leaking bits of information to the victim until they are able to figure out that their pet isn’t actually their pet anymore. It’s at this moment that he reveals himself, remaining motionless until the victim looks at him. When they set their eyes on him he slowly turns his head to face them, waiting until eye contact is made before he removes their eyes and kills them. Yaatra doesn’t indulge in such things now and rules over his domain, the shifting city. The buildings in this city are constantly moving and changing swapping rooms with neighboring buildings while also moving to a new position altogether.

Scarlet Blast - 0 - Dark Deamis [the 0 emphasizes you have no Upgrades and your ability will be at its standard base power. Any additional upgrades will add 5 to your base]

Abilities will need;

Clayton

Age: 20

Appearance:

Clayton is certainly an unusual figure to behold. Unlike most of his fellows, and in particular contrast to at least one of them, nearly his entire body is covered at all times by a combination of cloth and metal. Whilst his faded black jeans, shoes, and brown leather duster are all relatively normal-seeming, his entire torso is covered by a thick slab of gunmetal armour plating; whether or not this is effective as an actual defense may or may not be in question, considering his usual foes. Moreover, his head is almost always covered with a gas mask in public, hiding his features behind black filters and red lenses. Even his fellow orphans are not aware of his current appearance (or at least he seems to think so), at least at the present time; what is known is that his hair was brown, his eyes were green, and his skin was fairly light (and still is, at least on his fingers). He presently stands at around 175cm tall, with a decently strong build from lugging a full-body armoured vest around for most of each day.

Personality: Frequently, Clayton tends to act in a manner that is both blunt and cocky in equal measure. When talking, he’ll try to get right to the point rather than tiptoeing around something or pretending something isn’t so, often seeming stubborn when he has his mind set on something being just so, and in a battle, he’ll wade right into the fray, fighting the Deamis with casual, almost arrogant confidence. The reasons for this latter point are fairly simple: on the one hand, he believes heading into a fight as if he’s invincible will spur the other orphans to fight with equal confidence; and on the other, having only truly lost a fight with a Deamis once before, and that when he was much younger and less skilful, he does in fact consider himself essentially invincible, buying into his own hype a bit too much for his own good.

By contrast, his bluntness is somewhat of an extension of another trait: socially speaking, he is a bit dense, and past efforts to act otherwise with his comrades have largely gone poorly, leading him to simply not try at all. What’s the harm, after all, with being honest with friends? Yet sometimes, that doesn’t work so well either, and past outbursts from the more volatile orphans due to his blunt nature have led him to largely avoid verbal confrontations, as he knows full well he won’t fare well beyond any initial defensiveness about a point.

In any case, he does care for and about the other orphans, even if he’s not often on good terms with some of them. In particular, whilst he does consider himself unkillable, he often conveys a great deal of concern over the injuries the others suffer, especially the more serious wounds such as Nyx’s spinal injury. Who else is he going to care about if he loses them, after all? To that end, he also recognises and has come to accept that they may all suffer through failure at times, as they have all shown they are ultimately fallible even at their strongest - save, of course, his own belief in his invulnerability.

God and Deamis:

Khthon, the Warden of the Gods - Deity of the Earth and of Prisons

When the planet was born, he existed, but was yet to mature, for the young earth was hot and roiling. Soon, though, his nascent consciousness grew impatient, yearning to be free of its unconscious prison, and Khthon came to be sooner than anticipated, cooling the lava of the world to solid rock and ground. For his impatience, though, his power was seemingly incomplete; the ground he cultivated was dull and dry without others to imbue it with life, he could not demand the planet's inner layers become solid rock too, and a fraction of the planet's youthful anger constantly burned within him, making him somewhat arrogant and unaware of his limits. It may also have been that these would always have been his limitations, but who could say?
Nonetheless, when the time came to imprison the Deamis, his inner arrogance meant he felt the need to prove his worth, and so his contribution to the construction of the barrier between this dimension and theirs was disproportionate, and in a way linked it to himself and his power directly, feeding it constantly. This act cemented his role as the warden of the deities, and amongst mortals, he was taken to be a sort of protector of the weak, both literally protecting the weak from harm and keeping those who might use their strength to wrongly harm others restrained and incapable of lording it over their lessers. Yet this same act later proved his undoing, for though one demonic king could not have destroyed the barrier alone, it didn't occur to him that all of them would cooperate to do so, and its destruction damaged him greatly, rending his power and leaving him a poor fighter in the ensuing war.
Long story short, he was soundly defeated, and imprisoned as he had imprisoned the Deamis for so long. Yet, though his pride and power were both broken, this was not the end of his tale; over many decades, he drew the scattered fragments of his power back to him, and finally burst free from his cell to return to the other gods. Though he is still greatly weakened, his arrogance has only been reignited by this event, and one can only imagine it will continue to rise as his power continues to return to him.

Babelam, Queen of Madness and Broken Spirits

All the deities knew of Khthon's arrogant pride, so much so that he poured himself into the barrier between dimensions. What they didn't know was that he visited the realm of the Deamis very regularly, toying with even their kings as one might laugh at a collection of zoo animals, and fleeing to safety when he felt threatened; none were affected more than Babelam, formerly an entity of no particular birthright, but probably the closest thing to a "free spirit" the Deamis had, in the sense that she did whatever she pleased, travelled wherever her fractured mind took her at incredible speed, killing everything in her path and sending everything about her into a similar state of mania, her psyche breaking down and reforming as often as her desires changed. To this embodiment of lunatic freedom, who drew his attention for how little she seemed to care about the cage she was in, Khthon took great joy in exercising his powers to bind her, restrict her, prevent her from running wild as she so preferred, and often to tease her by letting all but one restraint free and making that last binding unbreakable, a false freedom that drove her to agonised fury time and again.
Eventually, however, she came to accept this. Though she did indeed lose her mind frequently, more often than she had in the past, she also brought herself around to, in a sense, acquire the power she had been bound with, intentionally restricting her mania with the very binds intended to limit her strength. From her bound position, she held her thoughts together for longer and longer stretches, long enough to start commanding the beings about her with her newfound control of her psychotic abilities. Some were made to channel themselves into her, bolstering her strength further and further; others were retained as beasts of burden, entities doing her will beyong her locks; and others still were tasked with breaking the divine chains that she could not shatter alone.
Ultimately, a combination of these efforts and her ever-increasing power allowed her to bend the chains binding her to her will, forming and reforming them as she pleased - and though she nonetheless had to pretend she was still truly bound to fool Khthon for a time, it was not long before the Deamis conspired to free themselves from their prison, and she found herself one of the heads of this conspiracy. As such, when she and the other demonic kings shattered the barrier, it was with a clear head and an army of minions that she approached the weakened deity of earth, laughing as she beat him into metaphorical gravel; after this, she left him for a while to the tender mercies of the Deamis he had mocked for so long, and then encased him with a power very similar to his own, coming along every so often between driving entire cities insane to whittle away at his pride and arrogance.
In the modern era, Babelam is a rather passive entity who has practically all she desires. Though she spends most of her time seemingly hibernating, encased within her own wings to form a sort of blue chrysalis at the heart of a city of frenzied and demon-corrupted humans, her body warps across the world regularly, rising from the earth for a time, and for miles around turning the meek rabidly furious, and the pride tame to the bloodlust of the mad. On the rare occasions somebody seeks her out before she moves again, they might find her to be unusually weak, enough that even a mere human could stand a chance of defeating her... at least, until she releases some of her restraints, and they realise that these are merely to weaken her for the sake of challenge, and for the sake of destroying their hope and pride. It's not clear what happens to people who suffer this fate; it is theorised that she intentionally imprisons them the way she imprisoned Khthon for so long, allowing their minds to fester in their failure and eventually go mad from the isolation. One wonders whether death would be more merciful.

Weapons:
Babelam’s Face
Unsurprisingly, Khthon is not fond of Babelam. In light of this, it makes a lot of sense why he would gift his scion a large shield bearing her image; what better way to strike her in the face than to have the Deamis do it, after all? And if it shatters, no matter, for the entire shield is crafted of pure marble, and consequently, Clayton is able to use his geokinesis to reshape its form however he pleases - restoring it to its base appearance when damaged, sharpening its edges or forming spikes on its surface to decapitate and impale his foes, reshaping it into a crude, yet highly effective two-handed sword, or even intentionally splitting it into an asteroid field in miniature, each lump of marble a potentially deadly projectile.

Shield form:

Sword form:

Abilities:
Geokinesis - 0 - Earth/Khthon
The god of earth has been quite gracious to his scion. So long as his body or his clothing is in contact with an earthly material, notably any form of silt, clay, sand, rock, or natural mineral, Clayton is able to manipulate all earth and rock of the same substance within ten meters of himself with a great deal of freedom. One would expect such an ability to be highly defensive, and indeed, whilst it is very good at protecting him from harm, he also uses it to travel far more rapidly than one might expect him to be capable of - from surfing on a wave of dirt, to launching himself off of an erupting rock spire, and even travelling up sheer cliff faces, his mobility is exceptional for his elemental affinity.
The problem, of course, with touching the ground to control it is that staying in contact with the ground whilst flinging oneself through the air via rock spire or most other means is understandably quite difficult. Moreover, whilst a concrete surface can be manipulated handily enough, he couldn't also manipulate a marble statue unless he made contact with that as well, and a wooden floor, steel beam, or even carpet will leave him high and dry, though of course not utterly defenseless given his weapons and the innate power all of the orphans bear.

Isolation - 0 - Earth/Khthon
An extension of Clayton's innate geokinesis, imbued with just a touch of Khthon's power to imprison, grants Clayton the ability to use this ability whenever he could use his geokinesis, with the same corollary on contact, but not materials. No matter what earthen substance Clayton touches, this power will throw out a burst of what appears to be sand either towards specific targets or in a radius around him, to a maximum distance of ten meters or so.
Any sentient being caught in this burst of sand will be struck by the illusion of utter isolation: most commonly, they will believe themselves to be either trapped within an infinite sandstorm, confined within four grey stone walls, or buried alive in a tomb with rock and soil pressing in around them. In all cases, they will think themselves alone, even if another creature was caught in the same sand blast as them, and if left to their own devices, most lesser Deamis, animals, and regular humans will be driven mad by the prison crafted within their minds, incognizant of the real world.
That being said, the typical primal Deamis and Clayton's fellow orphans will generally have greater power and a firmer grasp on the nature of this illusion, and can handily break it with a few minutes of concentration, or even a few seconds if they realise and focus hard upon the impossibility of the situation; the Deamis kings themselves, meanwhile, are much too powerful relative to Clayton to fall prey to such a simple trick, and if they're affected at all, they will merely be stunned briefly by the notion.

Reflect - 0 - Pride/Babelam
Compared to the earthly powers of Khthon, Babelam's corruption of Clayton's being is very simple in nature: when this ability is activated, his skeletal muscles are locked in their current position, and any melee attack made against him until the abilility is deactivated will harm the attacker accordingly instead of Clayton. The obvious catch to this, of course, is that Clayton cannot move whilst the ability is active, though this is surprisingly less of a detriment than one might expect when he can still utilise his geokinesis in tandem; the less obvious catch is that it specifically reflects harm from melee attacks, and indeed from melee attacks: his muscles are not made super-hard due to their paralysis, so environmental harm such as a long fall will still damage his body correspondingly, whilst damage from an arrow or bullet will not return to its originator, ensuring that he must get in close or make good use of his other options to avoid any injuries from long-distance threats.

HAEF

Age: 24
Seen above calm
Absolutely Livid:

This form is an automatic trigger that occurs when his anger causes an 'eruption' within his body, when the forge overworks and ruptures his veins, causing literal burning hemoraging as his magma blood overflows from his body. His Terraarmament pulls hard earth and metal from the area around him and plates it over his body, this helps hold his body together until he calms again and is able to control his burning blood. However afterwards he is left extremely fatigued with little fighting ability till he recovers. But during the rage the over working forge heart increases his strength and durability for the duration, though the rage clouds his ability to make rational judgement.

Personality:

The first impressions people might make of Haef is that he is a cool and calm minded individual. One who takes charge and tries to step up as a leader figure. They might see someone brimming with self confidence, someone who self inspired. One without teetering self esteem, however most of this is a facade internally Haef struggles with his inner demons. Often the type who doesn’t like to show off his emotions a lot of his self confidence is a show. It is a defensive wall that protects him from his fears. That being the true lack of motivation held inside.

While Heaf is a go getter, someone who likes to take action and create solutions. He is often attacked by a lack of motivation. Apathy shackles him down.

Thus he is quite fine with following others rather than taking the lead himself, while it makes him an excellent team player it truly stems from an inherent distrust and lack of confidence in himself. For Haef is plagued with the constant fear that his ‘Apathy Syndrome’ will rear its head at any moment and cause him to fall to an endless nothingness. He would rather be used like any tool rather than relied upon as comrade.
So he largely keeps to himself, trying to stay busy with menial tasks and hobbies, such as sculpting figures of earth and iron. He most never speaks out nor even speaks his mind if not asked first.

However, often times he feels he must speak out, or when forced Haef can become quite heated, and has a literal ‘burning anger’ as the magmatic nature of his blood lights across his skin and he falls into a gross and intense rage that threatens to run wild.

God:

Thoth watched as his brethren forged the primal forces of the universe, craft the stars, amass the planets and seed them with life. And there he sat, unable to create something from nothing, lost in his purpose.
One day as he sat, he looked out and felt that while beautiful, the universe his cohorts had created was unchanging, it had cycles in its life, but they repeated, nothing new came forth. And deep within his core something moved, he lifted from the other gods creations the fiercest fire and the most malleable metal, and created a great hammer.

He then used the hammer to pound flat a great expanse of earth and placed upon it metals pulled from the heart of a star, and he brought the hammer down, from this metal he created gifts for his siblings and declared to them.

‘I have found my addition to this universe you have made, a spark from my mind, to create, to make something more out of what is before us, to change the world not through strength but through ingenuity. I would gift this to a species, but the decision I wish to be one of aggregate.’

The chosen species would be humanity, and Thoth poured forth the knowledge of his first discovery, the use of tools, and then left the seed of ingenuity, to allow them to expand their world. As human civilization continued he marveled at the countless creations they forged, the great buildings, the many tools. He was proud that it was his addition to the world that let them flourish so, but he kept this pride silent, and continued his work, always working away.

When the Daemis broke free he did his best to try and forge weapons against them, great golems and other constructs, arms and armors but it was all for naught, even his greatest Golem: Indominus, was never finished, its heart never ignited and it lies silent hidden somewhere upon the planet Earth.

As the God’s began to gather the Orphans he at first went forward trying to find one who was strong, stalwart, capable of handling the greatest forces of the center of a star, but in passing over the domain of Neccese he heard the faintest heart beat within that empire of silence. A tiny babe clutched between two withered bodies no more than corpses, he pulled the child from there and carried it away, impressed by the babes tenacity to hold on even plagued by the Apathy Syndrome. So he named the child Haef and took him into his care.

Daemis:

Neccese came not in fire and fury, not storm and rage, he arose among the first when the seals broke, looming silently his power swathed forwards, like a deluge of pointless thought. The Apathy Syndrome took hold of countless people, sapping away any drive to fight, to improve, to sustain and finally to even live. Little is known of him, he speaks little and acts to his own silent agenda.
His bottomless eyes pull in all attempts to stand against him, an Emperor not of violence or force but of quite and inevitable guarantee. A Daemis that promises only deterioration, it all falls apart eventually, so be cradled in the quiet and comforting embrace, and sleep forever more. Do not struggle, do not fear… just accept the end.

Weapons: God ability: Hammer of Thoth: Heaf’s left hand and arm are incased in a black metal, this was once a shard of Thoth’s first and favorite hammer, it is inlaid with groves so that the magma of his veins may flow through brightly, and each finger is tipped in a sharp talon like claw. It cannot be removed.
It also channels his God gifted ability ‘Terraarmament’ (0) Range: 15 yards radius around him: By utilizing his magmatic blood as the heat source and his own knowledge of smithing he can shape the earth and metals around him into crude weapons that are linked and manipulated by the gauntlet. However due to his Apathy Syndrome his creations cannot last long and are incredibly fleeting, falling apart after only the slightest use.

God Ability: Forge Heart: Haef was born within one of the civilizations that Neccese loomed over, each person lost to the Apathy Syndrome. Thoth scooped up the silent and withering away babe from the arms of the corpse like creatures that were his parents. To save the child he replaced the small and fleeting organ known as a ‘heart’ with a special construct, that would function both as his heart and as an engine to strengthen his body. The next step was to heat the forge. Thoth pulled magma from his favorite star and poured into into the boys dry veins, lighting the forge.
Living his life with the Forge Heart has strengthened his body beyond that of his fellow Orphans, he is incredibly durable, his very skin darkened and warm to the touch like a tempered piece of metal. It also fuels his endurance, keeping him going however it also prevents natural sleep, meaning he is always awake if not forced into unconsciousness. The forge also helps him use his magmatic blood in conjunction with his ‘hammer’ to fuel the Terraarmament.

Daemis Ability (0) Range- Melee to 15 yards: Entropy Strikes: As the sun sets and the powers of the forges abilities weaken, saving their strength to stave off the Apathy Syndrome, the Daemin energies course outwards, becoming farm more active. He is able to use the 'Hammer of Thoth' to channel these energies into its strikes. The energy increases the entropy of molecules causing them to move at an increased rate, causes structural deterioration, meaning his attacks become far more devastating with each one that connects, even if there is no apparent damage done yet. He can also fling off the energy in strikes from his claws, how they do not travel far, only about 15 yards before dispersing.

Relationships:

Thoth: Thoth is... the closest thing I have to a father. He is the first being I ever knew, and while he was quite literally burning, he was always cold. I imagine he was never all that sociable, more concerned with his work, with the forging of new tools, even as the universe seems to die around him. He gave me many tools to survive and complete the task given to the Orphans and I am grateful, I wish that perhaps... he saw me as more than another tool, or at least cherish me as his other creations, as I will never fully be his creation.

Nyx: I can remember the first day I met Nyx, it was an exciting day. He was the first person I ever met outside Thoth. To me, Nyx is the first person I can go to for anything. He is the only one I can speak my mind to, of my woes and worries and insecurities. He is an older brother, but he is also a friend and confidant I would say... I get along very well with Nyx, though his violent side at times irks me, he has passion and fervor behind his actions I struggle to summon up myself. Till the very end so long is Nyx is leading the way.. I don't think I'll have any doubts or reservations.

Thank you. I should be available on the 23 rd and 25th. and I don't think that will happen. Roommate is about 40 and looking back at my status updates every 2 months he never had informed us until last minute and he never will. Idk why it's so hard for people to communicate these things.
