I'll do bullets so its easier on us all to read, for the sake of things.
1. I can always shift down to one turret, no big issue there. Build more as needed. 2. Non-lethal related weakness can play into the whole savior factor, but as for what you said regarding building level impacts, given that's a high end, near maximum output at the given moment for the suit, yeah, shut down and reboot would work well enough. 3. Lack of utility can be rectified during plot, as I noted she ran out of funds, as her father didn't leave her a lot to work with even then. I could also add more to the whole non-lethal weakness, as that could also be added up with "tries to avoid harming innocents as much as possible, hence why weapons are low end stuff." As a character mentality with her is that she's trying to avoid doing damage that's unneeded. Also why the cannon's maximum setting is still kind of low, in a sense. Considering she's sort of iron man, but a poor mechanic trying to get by between odd jobs and whatever being a hero nets in funds' iron man. Iron Man had an entire company at his back, same as Batman, kid's just got what her dad left her and whatever else she finds in junkyards. 4. I assume you mean super strong for the narrative? That's understandable. 5. Living battery can be easy, too much can make her woozy, or force her to sleep, or burn up a lot of calories, and force her to eat. Granted, her own carefulness would also make this an issue that can be overcome, usually. 6. That is true, but Iron Man himself once said he was just a man with a suit. What he didn't say at least at first was that he was also a billionaire. But I can understand the concern. Its all about brain over brawn with this character here, for the most part. 7. All in all, whole concept is just, kid wants to honor her father's memory, but also doesn't want to be in his shadow. If this thread lasts long enough, perhaps I'll go more into detail as to what happened exactly to her father, but that's for another time. Same for whatever adventures he got into as a hero before he retired, and notes on his nemesis. 8. I wouldn't worry too much, as we're all here to have fun(at least that's what me and the friends I suggested check out this thread wanted to do), so if for some reason, something I'm doing against odds causes actual issues, just tell me either privately or in the OOC, and I can adjust as needed.
I can make the minor tweaks before I post the finished version to the character thread, since you said, if I'm reading earlier right, its basically approved.
So my CS is below. I'm flexible with pretty much everything if you want me to change anything.
ɴᴀᴍᴇ Leo Cadogan
ǫᴜᴏᴛᴇ "Now you see me...now you dont..."
ᴀʟɪᴀs The Harlequin
ᴀɢᴇ 31
ɢᴇɴᴅᴇʀ Male
ᴏᴄᴄᴜᴘᴀᴛɪᴏɴ Bar Owner
ᴀʙɪʟɪᴛɪᴇs ◆ Teleportation | Leo is capable of teleportation. When he does so he leaves a thin mist that dissipates after a few seconds. He can teleport as quickly and frequently as he wishes over short distances (up to thirty metres) but for longer distances he must focus for a time. There is no limit to how far he can go, however for every mile he must focus uninterrupted for one full minute. He is able to teleport up to two other people he is touching with no additional effort needed.
◆ Dread Sense | When someone or something means to cause Leo harm, whether it be an enemy or a bullet, he is overcome with a massive sense dread. He is unable to pinpoint where the threat is coming from but simply knows that he is under threat, giving him the opportunity to at least try and avoid the incoming attack.
◆ Fast Hands | Leo's running speed is up there with the best human athletes, however he truly shines with the speed in his hands. He can throw a punch faster than a normal human is capable of and this in turn generates power surpassing that of even the strongest heavyweight boxer.
◆ Circus Performer | Growing up in the circus helped develop his acrobatic skills. Leo has exceptional balance and body control. In addition to acrobatics, he is trained in juggling, knife throwing and the many other skillsets that would be expected of a circus performer.
ᴡᴇᴀᴋɴᴇssᴇs ◆ Human Durability | For all of his abilities when it boils down to it, he is no more durable than a standard human.
◆ Human Strength | He is capable of punching extremely hard, however that is only a trick of his quick hands. He is no stronger than the strongest humans of his own size. So while he may be able to punch harder than most, he wouldn't be able to achieve any feats of true strength a normal human couldn't. So he wouldn't be able to lift and throw a car for example.
ᴇǫᴜɪᴘᴍᴇɴᴛ ◆ Composite Armour Flex-Suit | With the help of his benefactors, he has been provided with a light and flexible protective suit. It is made from a unique composite material which is impervious to stabbing, needles and cuts. However it provides no protection against bullets or blunt trauma. It also provides a resistance against flames but persistant exposure will eventually burn through the suit. It is very similar in appearance to his old circus attire.
◆ Mask of the Harlequin | Leo's mask fits to his face perfectly, meaning that the face of the mask moves with his own. It is made of the same composite material as the rest of his suit and provides the same benefits, however there are additonal functions that the mask provides. Leo has access to multiple vision modes including, standard, night and thermal. In addition, the mask features inhibitors which protect Leo from attacks that directly target his mind.
ʙɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ Leo was born into the life of a circus performer to a pair of trapeze artists. His upbringing beyond the circus aspect was normal, two loving parents and fortunately for him, entirely devoid of tragedy. He spent his early years training in the footsteps of his parents and showed great talent early in his life. By his tenth birthday he had surpassed not just his parents, but the rest of the circus acts. He could soar through the air on the trapeze, sprint across the tight rope and split an apple with a throwing knife from twenty metres away. He had a clear talent and total control over his body but it wasn't until his twelfth birthday that things took an interesting turn.
While celebrating his birthday the circus was hit by a fire which trapped his parents and several of the other acts within the tent. Leo ran to the tent to try and save his parents but couldn't get through the main entrance. He shouted loudly for them and could hear their cries for him to stay away. His body soon crackled with power and in a puff of smoke he disappeared. To his shock he found himself in the tent next to his parents and the other artists. They all looked at each other in total confusion for a moment before Leo hugged his mother and father tight. He thought of getting his parents to safety and in that moment the heat of the flames gave way to the cooling breeze of outside. As the three separated they were a fair distance from the tent. His parents asked him what was going on but he was as clueless as they were.
The screams of the tent were beginning to be drowned out by the ever growing roar of the flames and Leo knew he had to try and repeat his recent feat. In the next two minutes Leo single handedly saved all those who were trapped in the tent by utilising this new ability of his. As the tent finished burning to leave a pile of ash Leo was stricken with panic. What was it that he was doing? What would everyone think of him? Fortunately for him the love between the circus family transcended all. They all embraced him as thanks and from that day continued to treat him as they always had.
In the years that followed Leo made no attempt to incorporate his new found ability into his act but that didn't stop him practising. He started small, covering short distances as quickly as he could. He then began to expand his reach beyond the local area. At first he would move a mile, then two, then three. Before he knew it he could teleport to the circus' next destination well in advance of everyone else. This is what eventually led to Leo leaving the circus to pursue a life as a vigilante.
When he was eighteen he teleported to the circus' next destination so that he could get interest going well in advance. He spent a day putting up posters and speaking to the public. As day turned to night he decided to check into a motel to wait for the arrival of the others. While watching the evening news there was a breaking report of a hostage situation at a nearby store. Two gunmen had taken the store owner and his wife hostage after their attempted robbery was disturbed by police arriving to buy coffee. The police surrounded the building but were hesitant given the men being armed, Leo decided he needed to put his talents to use.
Opening his suitcase he took out his performers costume to ensure his identity was concealed and then in the blink of an eye he was gone. He re-appeared in the back of the store, sneaking out into the main area where the hostages were being kept. The two gunmen kept their guns firmly aimed at the couple while one of them spoke to the police on a phone. Leo wasted no time and disappeared once more. When he reappeared the first gunman received a solid shot to the mouth sending him sliding backwards along the floor. As the second gunman turned to look at what happened, Leo appeared behind him. Bringing his fist up into the man's jaw, Leo sent him flying backwards into nearby shelving. Before the store owners could utter a word Leo had already disappeared.
Leo's exploits were the talk of the town for days and by time the circus arrived, it was still on the tip of everyones tongue. His parents found out about what happened and challenged their son about the danger of what he did. The young man resisted their pleas to not make the same mistake, finding within himself a calling to protect the innocent. For hours they spoke back and forth before finally his parents caved. They provided Leo with a large part of their savings so that he could start a new life for himself and with that he was gone.
Arriving in Maximum City Leo started off working in a few small bars when he wasn't being a vigilante. Eventually Leo saved enough money to open his own bar in the Neo Quarter. Called Club Aether, it favoured heavier styles of music and had a unique aesthetic that saw it become fairly successful. The club is self sufficient meaning Leo doesn't need to work but he can often be seen there when his vigilante talents are not needed.
After a couple of years in Maximum City, Leo's alter ego of The Harlquin had built up a bit of a reputation and not just with the public. A package arrived one day at his club without a name or address, simply saying Harlequin across the top. Fortunatley Leo was the only one a the club as nobody knew that he was in fact the vigilante. Upon opening the box he found a letter with the header for something known as The Aramis Foundation. They provided little information about themselves but explained that they had been following his 'career' for a while and that they wanted to help him. Emptying the rest of the boxes contents Leo found a new suit with accompanying mask and a mobile phone with a single number in it.
Leo called the number and was greeted by a voice who would only introduce themself as one of the founders of the Aramis Foundation. The voice was hidden beyond a filter so he didn't even know if he was speaking to a man or woman, they simply said that they existed to help people like Leo protect the innocent from those that would do them harm. The voice instructed him to keep the phone on hand at all times as the Foundation would be in touch with whenever his skillset was required. Since this first phone call Leo has worked with the Foundation to stop terrorist plots, foil bank robberies and put villains behind bars. However he is still yet to meet anyone in person or even find a public record on the Foundation.
ʀᴇʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴsʜɪᴘs ◆ The Aramis Foundation | Ally | With the help of his benefactors, he has been provided with a light and flexible protective suit. It is made from a unique composite material which is impervious to stabbing, needles and cuts. However it provides no protection against bullets or blunt trauma. It also provides a resistance against flames but persistant exposure will eventually burn through the suit. It is very similar in appearance to his old circus attire.

Close Up Name: Hannah Year Quote: "Sometimes you just need to listen to that little thing in your head... The thing that tells you... That it's time to jump." Alias:Nightlight
Age: 19 Gender: Female Occupation: Former Sindo-Kit operative, currently working as a stay at home loser while her AI operating system makes money in the stock market. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Abilities: Light generation: Her body is able to simply put, generate great deals of light. She's a living lightbulb. This power is generally kinda stupid, if not for... Everything listed under Equipment. Weaknesses: Physically weak, relies heavily on specialized equipment to use her powers in any kind of extensive light. Generating too much light can be draining, and requires tons of food daily. Equipment:
M.O.T.H. - Lets first talk about M.O.T.H. Also known as Magical Operator Taking in Hard-Light. MOTH is a machine designed by Hannah while she was still an operative working for the Sindo-Kit at the age of 13. MOTH is a full body suit, using an extensive AI program originally designed by ECLIPSE. (The second successful robbery.) MOTH uses a layering of synthetic panels underneath the suit to take in light generated by Hannah's body. Much like a solar panel, the suit takes in this light, and uses it to generate energy for the suit proper. The suit utilizes this stored up energy, often millions of watts of energy, or on a good day... Billions, to reconstruct and generate its weapon systems. Primarily, flight. The suit utilizes this energy to lift off the ground, utilizing the main generator, a large piece on her back that looks like the butt of a moth. This releases the energy required for lift, and smaller generators in her hands and feet allow her to control her flight. EX: Just like Iron Man. Energy can be condensed into beams, that can knock a person off their feet. All this is possible because of the light energy generated from Hannah's body. MOTH's operating system is honestly the nicest possible system one could ever ask for. As it checks her temperature, feeds her, and even runs the stock market for her so she doesn't have to work a day in her life.
Hard-Light Generator - In part, the system is designed to take light, and reconstruct it into "Hard Light." A solid structure that takes on rather generic shapes. Utilizing this machine it is possible for Nightlight to create small structures, like walls, or wings. The hardlight system is primarily used to help her fly, but stuff like coffee mugs isn't out of the question. The more complex the structure, the more stored energy is required. Creating something the size of a shield is fairly simple. The more complex the shape, or size, the more energy it drains. To create something with the size and complexity of a house, it would require energy on par with that of a whole city block, something that Hannah would have to spend a week preparing for, and would only be able to create for roughly a few seconds. Anything else would require a full city's worth of electricity.
Sensory Technology - Using a unique system, designed for navigation, the M.O.T.H suit is able to map out an entire area, and allows Hannah to fly around without a risk of crashing into the environment. A map of the city is pre-loaded into the system, which monitor's her speed and trajectory. If she approaches a wall at too high a speed, the system will warn her. Allowing her to fly around, even in pitch darkness.
Light Bombs - A grenade, that generates a brilliant flash of light. Nifty.
___________________________________________________________________________________ Bio: Growing up is hard. Growing up an orphan in the Lemon Grove Estates? Even harder. Mom was probably a druggy who died after the kid was born. Dad was a no good no show who didn't appear once in her life. Instead, like all orphans, Hannah had to learn two important things. How to shut up, and how to break open an ATM. She learned the second, and never the first. In fact, her mouth got her in a lot of trouble. What got her out of it was that she not only knew how to open an ATM, she had a natural gift for it. In fact, when it came to the technical side of things, her boss in the gangs learned she was a gift. A natural talent. Didn't stop him from selling her at the age of 8 to a higher drug lord. She spent much of the age 8-11 being traded to higher ups, each time being pushed to learn more. By the age of 12, she was a hacker serving under Big Mama, the top drug lord of all of Lemon Groves. Big Mama liked her kid a bit, and under Mama it turned out that Hannah had more freedom than she knew what to do with. Then, one day when she was out enjoying herself, there was a tragedy. A powerplay, and Big Mama was dead, leaving Hannah as the only survivor of the Big Mama gang. With nothing holding her back, she took that chance to leave Lemon Grove, forever. She hasn't looked back since.
But one doesn't leave a life of crime at the drop of a hat. Especially when you're only twelve, and never had a home to really call your own. Her only skills involved crime, and selling drugs. So, what does a twelve year old do? Start getting into hacking. Breaking open an ATM, and then buying herself a laptop. So began the terror campaign of the little girl known online as "XxXHackergirlXxX." She never claimed to be original. Turns out, being a run-amok hacker girl gets you into some nice circles. Particularly circles like the... Sindo-kit. It was an accident really, finding a firewall, and hacking right through it. Turns out, that got her right into the Sindo-Kit's chat group, and that got her noticed. Particularly when the next day she started noticing that people were paying attention to her. And that number grew, until she felt she was being followed.... And th-
Age 16 is the earliest any information comes back into public record. A certain girl, having performed a heist, successfully against ECLIPSE, was born. Hannah had become rich through the selling of ill-gotten goods, but the greatest prize... Was MOTH, the AI system stolen from ECLIPSE. A one of a kind. One that had fallen in love with her, in a way. The system became the means by which she created a comfy life for herself, and after faking her death, she seperated ties with the Sindo-Kit, despite still holding onto old contacts.
But boredom sets in, and her mind drifted to interesting things. So... Now 19, rich, a mutant, she decided to do something interesting. Being a hero could be fun. Relationships: - M.O.T.H. - Boyfriend, lover, the greatest accomplishment of Hannah's life. The system loves her in return, and acts as her operating system. One could say that without MOTH, Nightlight could not exist. - The Sindo-Kit - Formerly an operative, Hannah keeps some contacts. But they're on... Loose terms. She got out of that life a few years ago.
Abilities: Thermal Energy Absorption and Conversion: With this ability, Allen can absorb thermal energy and convert it before releasing it back in either destructive forms or less destructive forms.
Moves:
Fourth Wave: Allen releases the thermal energy hes absorbed into destructive thermal energy blasts.
Freezing: By absorbing the thermal energy within the immediate area, it is possible to cause the temperature to drop and freeze things over, this can also be used to freeze the bodies of other individuals by absorbing the thermal energy surrounding them, causing the moisture surrounding them to crystallize.
Absorption: Allen can absorb the thermal energy from fire type attacks, practically negating them, although he can absorb the heat, the impact of the attack is another matter.
Maelstrom: The user creates and controls wind, wind is created when there is a difference in atmospheric air pressure, and air pressure is affected by changes in temperature. If a certain point suddenly becomes cold, molecular activity becomes sluggish and air pressure drops. When that happens, the surrounding air flows in creating wind. If heat is applied to that area, and molecular activity is stimulated, the wind can be controlled.
Weaknesses:
Temperature Manipulators: If faced against an opponent who can control the temperature of the surrounding area, such as an ice user or weather manipulator, absorbing the thermal energy from the surrounding area becomes difficult, thus limiting the effectiveness of Allen's powers.
Environment: In an environment with colder temperatures, absorbing thermal energy becomes difficult to impossible.
Must Absorb: To do any of the special moves that Allen has come up with, he must have absorbed a certain amount of thermal energy before using them. Their power and effectiveness also depends on how much thermal energy he was able to absorb. The more thermal energy he wants to absorb, the longer it will take.
Equipment:
Thermal Arm Bands: The big metal bracers he wears are fitted with heaters that produce heat, thus allowing him to use his ability in colder temperatures. They can be turned off and on at will, however they must be charged every day, they're internal battery lasts about 6 hours each.
Gotcha, gonna be a bit busy on my end for a bit, and I'm working on Villain!Serene for Pitfalls, so I may take a bit. Plus stuff elsewhere. But yeah, expect something soon.
I might have Embryon appear in Southside. I assume hospitals there are shittier than others, while also having a high influx of trauma patients and victims of violent crime, so the perfect place to pull off a mysterious miracle healer operation. But that would mean strange security footage of a pink, fleshy monster scouring the halls of the hospitals, like a Xenomorph.

Hey, no complaints here. In my mind, the hospitals are shittier than others. And that's if all the camera's are working lol. Would be an interesting reaction for Black Fury to see a pink looking alien being. He will initially trip out the first time seeing em.
Actually, after a reread, not sure why my character would be out that far, given they live in Downtown, lol. I didn't read the setting previously, my bad.
@Dynamo Frokane So, I think I'm done. I'm still trying to figure out what to put for Relationships. But otherwise, the character feels as good as they're getting.

Im keeping an eye on the 'hard light' stuff, that seems very powerful. Set in some limits about the size and the complexity of the hard light shapes.
